How I feel about this character

He is my blorbo and my horse plinko. He was also the first ever fanart piece I ever drew for Hogleg.

I got immediately excited when he first introduced himself as a Gaunt because I knew the background lore for them. I even ran to my friends to tell them about it (they had also just started the game at that time and I was the only one to pick a Slytherin character) but they didn't seem to care as much as me.

Despite that, at first I was more interested in Sebastian, because I'm basic. Ominis cemented himself as my fav only when I got into fanfiction. Then I drew several pieces of him being a small child and being in distress and I'm proud to say that's still my calling card.

All the people I ship romantically with this character Sebastian. And that's it, to be honest. At this point I have extensive headcanons about their relationship dynamic and I just cannot see him with anyone else. I do like to think he at one point had a celebrity crush on Isaac Cooper because of that one NPC line, but I don't think Isaac was even remotely aware of it and it could never have gone anywhere anyway.

My non-romantic OTP for this character

I need more stuff with platonic Anne/Ominis like I need air. I know we like to think of Anne, Ominis and Sebastian as a trio, a matched set, but I think the Anne/Ominis and Ominis/Sebastian friendship dynamics were quite different. I like to Imagine Anne as more emotionally intelligent of the Sallow siblings, a trusted confidant, someone Ominis could tell things he couldn't tell Sebastian. Not yet. They would share inside jokes and gossip Sebastian wasn't always *in* on, but that's mostly because he wasn't interested, so there wouldn't be any jealousy. My other OTPs for Ominis are contradictory. Ominis/every iota of happiness he could get and Ominis/pain and misery. I want to see him hurt, I want to see him cry, but at the same time I want him to know everything will be alright. Does that make sense?

My unpopular opinion about this character

Honestly, I think most of my opinions about him are fairly popular. I suppose except one where I'm not only convinced he won't be having any children of his own, for various reasons, but also that he will probably die young. Tragically. He has those vibes to him.

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon. I really wanted him to high five Sebastian in the face at the end of the game.

Since HPA (Hooves Peak Academy in this AU) is a very shitty school in canon, id like to think that they have a very strict policy for their students… something like ohh no cutie mark no entry!! and only scouting ponies for the school.

and because of how mlp works, with majority of the population having special talents, i think they would only scout the best of the best or whatevers more useful. leaving many who want to go to hpa to having to attend the reserve course.

i do really like how each of their relationship is portrayed with kate. its refreshing to see other dynamics added into the game. like how 🍒 seems to easily wheedle kate to do what he wants, but also kate seems comfy enough to like chat with him and, well, give him a good ole wack every now and then lmao or how 💍 seems to be the one being teased by kate and how he gets easily flustered. hes really cute and im pretty convinced that if he had villainous tendencies it would be bc 🪽 had ordered him and whatnot. and 🪽 seems pretty two-faced but still considers kate a “favorite” of his. hes innocent and yaps a lot but also v calculating and good at diversions, which could check out as he has the curse of rothbart. in fact, i was thinking if theres any rt here that wouldn’t reach the threshold of romance to the fullest the way the others had, regardless how focused on romance it was, it would probably be 🪽. out of the three, i couldnt tell you which is my fav as they r all interesting to me, hehe

aside from that i can also see potential with worldbuilding 🙂‍↕️ what with how the twins seem to have the same curse from their profiles, when it shouldnt have been possible. (though maybe 💍 is actually cursed by odette while 🍒 is odile .. my personal theory, even if it may be a stretch, is that someone possibly associated with rogers dad was finding a way to see if the same curse could affect more than one person, and smth sorta backfired that made them have similar, but still dif curses. bc while both their curses share the same trigger, the effect it has on the recipient is different)

- vlad vlad vlad i adore vlad i wish he talked more. he doesn't even name drop the first time we meet the bleacher creatures! I think. I don't even remember when he name drops

- I don't think I'm overestimating it when I say I am the confucius guy. and the confucius guy has been fed very well this season. im SO grateful. I'm obsessed with him. He's cute. He's sometimes a little unexpected. He has about 5/6 minutes worth of angst. He's relatable. He is everything to me

- The Mary twist was hilarious, at first I had mixed feelings about the character being shoved in, but it built up to awesomeness

- It's been rough for Harriet... It's been real rough for her character. Which SUCKS cuz I wanna like her! I don't dislike her but Girl Why

- The writing has def improved since the last season! Hooray! Gives me 1% hope

- The JFK&Abe&Confucius trio is adorable and one of my fav things about this season. "We tried! Yeah yeah We tried!" "C'mon... C'mon...? C'mon... C'mon!"

- Joanfucius cute !! 7.5/10. Better than their s2 relationships (Joanfk/tubfucius)

- Shower scene didn't happen

- I loved JFK's personality arc, his devils & angels, and him being more bisexual than ever. The explanation for the writers to "fix his personality" was genius

- I felt the increased amount of swearing made it so jokes or emotional moments involving swearing didn't hit as hard as they could have. And some sex scenes were dragged on for too long which wasn't useful narrative/comedy wise .. just uncomfortable

- The new characters from ep 9... erm. I didn't like them much. I don't like the "here's character's love interest that is basically this character but opposite gender!" trope. The part with Mrs. C's cockney accent made me like her more though

- JFK'S DAD CAMEO !! HOORAY !! i wonder where the other dad is though ...

- I appreciated the references to previous seasons !!

- The ending left me in shambles & some actual grief. I loved the last episode, the way it parallels the first season finale, and the emotional drama, but I feel like they can't afford a cliffhanger. I would have liked some closure, as I have barely any faith in the animation+streaming industry and am 99% sure we're heading for cancellation. Boo-womp

- On the topic of ending, I headcanon that if the series does get cancelled, the clones actually get hit by the missile and DIE. I AM MAKING IT WORSE FOR MYSELF

Is it too early to ask for thoughs or headcanons on the 4 perils? I just really like those guys.

Before we get too far, can I just mention what a great concept the Treasures are? They're probably some of my all-time favorite legendaries. The way they're based off the four perils is a nice mythology reference, but this is greatly enhanced with the way they're vessels with fake bodies. This is very cool and unique, and that combined with the way they're sealed away to prevent natural disasters gives them an appropriately epic, legendary feeling to the quartet. Just the vibes alone are immaculate.

For the record, my personal favs from most to least are Wo-Chien, Ting-Lu, Chien-Pao, and Chi-Yu, but honestly all of them are great in some compacity or another.

I know Ting-Lu was somewhat contentious when it first leaked, with many feeling like the body is too vague-looking compared to the other Treasures of Ruin. However, I honestly really like the abstract look—I feel like it makes it look all the more eerie, almost somewhat eldritch. It also really helps convey that the object is the actual Pokemon and the body is just made out of materials, more so than any of the other Treasures.

If I have one problem with the design, it's that the ritual bowl/ding feels like it's barely attached to the head; it looks like it's going to fall off any moment. I also feel like the neck's a bit long. Otherwise, the colors are nice and the concept and typing are clear.

Chien-Pao is an interesting combo between a saber-toothed cat, a snow leopard, and something akin to a ferret. It reminds me a lot of a spotted genet, though that probably wasn't intentional:

Regardless, this is a neat design, with the body being made of snow and the markings actually being ice crystals. The simple white and light blue palette conveys snow and cold, while the black coloring on the sword draws attention to it. I also like that the sword is snapped in half, with each half composing a fang. It's a nice touch.

My only complaint is that the sword going through the top of the muzzle looks a bit odd. It was probably done like that to show that the snow is built around the sword, but it just creates a weird tension point there. I also feel like the random crystals on the cheeks weren't needed, and I wish the model looked less smooth and more like actual snow. Still, it's nice looking overall.

Chi-Yu is the least ominous of the trio, but then again it is still the most ominous goldfish I've ever seen, so that's something. Once again, the objects are obviously the beads, though this one gets points for incorporating the emotion, envy, into the design by using jade magatama beads specifically.

I think my only problem with it—which is unfortunately a big problem—is that the body works well in 2D, but really does not translate well at all. I don't know why GameFreak is allergic to particle textures, but Chi-Yu looks more like paper with fire drawn on it than actual fire, especially compared to other 'mons with much more realistic fire on their bodies. This makes the beads feel jarringly three dimensional in a way that doesn't jive with the body. The actual design of the flames, with them forming some beautiful swirls and scales, is fine; I just wish it looked better when you were actually using it and not just looking at the artwork.

And finally, Wo-Chien, my personal favorite. I had high-hopes for a legendary dark-type snail, and thankfully, Wo-Chien did not disappoint. The muted color palette feels appropriately dark but earthy at the same time, and I love how the upper body is clearly just piles of leaves, with branches forming the iconic snail eyes. The way the colors alternate in said leaves also help break up the head while still making it clear what you're looking at. It's hard to make a snail look powerful and creepy, but they pulled it off beautifully.

I guess the only drawback is that the tablets that make up the shell are much less emphasized than on the other Treasure's designs; there's nothing to specially draw your eye to them from either a color or a size perspective. At the same time however, they do fit beautifully with the palette, and it could be argued that the body shape draws your eyes from the head to the "shell" naturally anyway.

So as a whole: all of these guys are honestly really solid, and some of the best legendaries we've had in a long time; cool inspiration, interesting concept, good designs, and a mythological feel make these four throughly enjoyable.

General Questions

Most of the damage has limited to the busy areas (house, kitchens, temple, ect.)

I am a sock because my mascot character Ezekiel (my pfp) is a sock puppet

The thing that led me to create my au was partly love for the game, partly inspiration from Bam's trod, and also wanting to start participating in the community more.

The thing that stops Nufosa from being considered a follower is a spoiler, but if i were to be vague about it, it was caused by the massacre. They are VERY aware of the thing that impeding them, it is affecting them greatly, but they are trying to ignore it.

What remains of the Old Faith HAS been affected by the catastrophe. The heretics who used to worship the bishops have formed alliance with each other. To put aside their differenced and stay alive in hopes that they'll be able to bring back the bishops with each others help.

My laptop is named "Auzin", nicknamed "Oz" because of the way its pronounced. Auzin was a name i tried out while transitioning, and while i didn't settle on it, I liked it enough that I wanted to name something that. A joke I use often is that it's named "oz" because only the wizard of Oz could fix my laptop. (it is old)

My favorite food is probably bread. I love bread. in any form. If there is a grain-based dish i will probably eat it.

If i could choose a character to more of the backstory of, I think I'd choose the minibosses/disciples in game. I know nothing about them. I have thrown them all out the window in my au because i don't know what to do with them.

OH A FAVORITE SONG IS HARD. My favorite anything changes quite a bit when i discover more. I listen to a lot of Vocaloid, a lot of game osts, and songs from smaller artists. 1 song i like is Out of Touch by Daryl Hall & John Oates. Not sure if its my favorite but its a classic.

When we get new followers you'll get to see! Their default would probably be to tackle them into a bush in order to see if they were real.

OH MY GODS I LOVE UNDERTALE AND DELTARUNE SO MUCH. Unfortunately, it already has a pretty cohesive story, so I don't get the urge to theory craft as much. I think the theory that Ralsei is a dark fountain is pretty interesting.

Theories for Cult of the Lamb... I have one about the crowns sprouting roots into people heads! Like with Chemach and Shamura. My theory is that they tried to fuse/absorb the crown and then the crowns recoiled, but they ended up becoming interconnecting somehow.

The three musketeers is SUCH a cute name for the trio! Fun fact: all three of them have birthmarks! Nufosa has one of a heart on their chest, Narinder has the one on his ear, and Yael has one underneath their hoof.

Narinder Questions

Narinder was a leader of his cult before his imprisonment. When he became part of the lamb's cult, he was only there for about an hour before he snuck off on a missionary.

Narinder was ready to plop down and start living once he got back from his missionary, and the massacre def ruined that. He's kinda over it now, since he's living fine during the crusades, but it isnt ideal.

Narinder views the lamb as a stranger. The lamb spoke with him often, but they rarely mentioned things about themselves. Them being so distant right now is throwing him off quite a bit.

Fav Narinder scene so far... I like a lot of the firs chapter. He's basically monologuing to himself, and people being inside their own heads is where i propel at writing.

Worst part about writing Narinder: He is constantly holding himself back from progressing. Since getting closer to Fosa he's been better, but he's having a lot of trouble adjusting his behavior.

Fun fact about the relationship between him and Yael: Neither of them use each other's name. Narinder doesn't know the lamb's name is Yael, and Yael refuses to call him Narinder in fear of it being disrespectful.

If anyone were to hurt Nufosa he would kill them. If it were the lamb they would have to explain themselves quickly before he stabbed them to death with their own horns. If he hurt Nufosa? ...

Narinder hasn't really eaten anything beyond what's necessary since being usurped. The most appealing "meal" he's has so far is when he fished up some seaweed and let it dry in the sun.

Kind of a combo of both. Narinder is the main thing keeping up the momentum, but they are just kinda seeing what happens rn.

t's funny you mentin the cats have 9 lives saying, since that comes from Narinder. People saw his ability to defy death on several different occasions. 8 of them happened in the sight of the public, so they figured he had at least 9 lives.

If Narinder were to talk to his siblings all together it would go BAD. IM TALKING BAD BAD. He doesn't communicate well, he has tons of guilt, and all his siblings would not here him out.

Narinder's relationships w/ his siblings:

He and Leshy were around each other the most by far. The used to prank Kallamar together. They had the energy of a shared youtube channel if you get what i mean.

Narinder would go to Heket whenever he needed some quiet. Heket wasn't very talkative, which he appreciated. He would often curl up to nap and wake up to find braids and trinkets in his fur.

If any of the trio were to die, the other two would go out killing. Only exception would be the lamb, in which there would be a week long "wtf do we do" period before they go out killing.

The main threat the trio are facing right now other than the heretics is themselves. (They are all bad at taking care of themselves)

They havent build the cult back beaus eots a lot of work for 2 1/2 people, and they are also too busy crusading to get anything done.

I've thought of who each person would be in dnd before! Yael would be a hard-hitting cleric. Narinder would be a spell-casting rogue. Nufosa would be a monk.

The forse that caused the massacre has been followinf the trio around. It knows everything it need to.

Narinder and the lamb can see and communicate with the Mystic Seller like normal. Nufosa has a funny feeling and a sort of understanding, but isn't full aware of their presence.

HA, them being in the news would be pretty funny, though i will say that the cult was pretty big, instead of 13 people, it would be closer to 40-50 people.

The trio WILL find the fox in the future

Hardest fight they have endured, the initial ambush. Everyone was caught off guard.

Nufosa has quite a bit of resentment towards almost everyone who was in the cult.

Narinder feels neutral about everyone who was in the cult.

Yael has small resentments with a couple of the troublesome followers. Otherwise, they are more so mournful than annoyed.

They’re both the ‘staring into you’re soul’ person of the couple as Gwen has like the brightest yellow eyes ever (my hc yay) and Duncan is practically the same but blue

They’re actually kinda goofy even though they seem like really cool

they help dye each others hair ofc

they’re both good with mechanics so they work on projects together

they built like a really good quality den in the woods that they just chill in

Not many people tickle her, but to those brave enough to try she’ll give a little lady-like laugh that’s so enchanting it repels them like a tidal wave of pure goodness

Of course, her real laugh (which probably only Nene, Akane, and maybe Teru know about) is much more snorty and pitchy and desperate <3 also a little nasally, or sounds like she’s talking with a stuffy nose and it’s adorable in a goofy way

She will also name-call the flip out of anyone who tks her (not that she hates it that’s just how she is)

Will probably not tickle people very often, but thinks it’s fun to watch people squirm and scream for mercy, so calm but completely evil

Her fav lee is Nene bc she thinks her reactions are funny (used to be Akane but It’s Complicated)

Nene

Turns into a completely evil gremlin when given the opportunity to tk someone. She may be a sweet-looking girl but she is merciless and surprisingly mighty (let Nene be a punk and beat people up agenda!!!)

Squeals and kicks and turns completely red when tk-ed or tk is mentioned; embarrassingly enough, her ankles are most ticklish

Poor thing will make up excuses not to tickle her like “My laugh is too loud!” and “My face isn’t cute!” and people will want to tickle her more to prove her wrong (please let my girl be happy)

People see her and just want to tickle her. And they will. She can’t escape. It’s the main character effect

Sakura (MY PRETTIEST GIRL EVER!!!!!)

Definitely not much of a ler, but when she is she approaches it with such scientific intensity that it’s actually scary

She’s very sweet and very gentle, honestly, but it’s entirely offset by how terrifying and mysterious she is

Ticklish but exceptional at hiding her reactions from dealing with Tsukasa. If you remind her that she can laugh, you may be able to get a few giggles out of her, unless you’re Natsuhiko

Sensitive in very unusual places, so nobody knows about it

Kou

He’s super bony and all of them are ticklish

Embarrassed because he feels like being tickled weakens his coolness factor (will literally cave instantly if any of his friends ask him to tk him)

Likes to tickle people to cheer them up, always very playful, will also do the tk while acting tough if someone is being bratty (usually Hanako or Mitsuba)

Nene tks him because!!! He's her sweet underclassman!! (more content for them please)

Akane

You can drag him kicking and screaming to his tklish grave

No his laughs aren’t even cute he just screeches like a bald eagle when someone approaches with Threatening intent (usually Teru or one of the Clock Keepers)

He’ll be cute for Ao-chan tho <3

Would rather beat people with bats than tk them, but he will tickle out of revenge (usually Teru). Treats it like a war for subjugation, way too hot-headed for the silliness that is tiggle

Teru

Same as Aoi as a lee

Will literally exorcise you if you find out he’s tklish. Even if you’re alive. He needs that to stay buried

Loves tkling his siblings, really just wants them to be happy, but he never gets to bc exorcist duties (poor guy is lonely)

Sumire (I think I have a crush on her…)

I actually think she’s the biggest ler of this franchise (too bad she only appears for one arc)

She’s literally a sadist /hj She’ll be like “Awwww, look at you struggle~ you try but you know you can’t resist me like this ♡”

Would tk Hakubo all the time even tho he never laughed (his expression would maybe turn slightly more embarrassed and that was enough for her)

Would also try to get him to tk her but he literally did not understand. She would ask straight up and he would think she was just weird (he grants her her wish after she’s sacrificed and resurrected in his boundary bc he regrets ignoring her when she was alive)
