the substance using prosthetics instead of cgi really upped the horror factor for me. like oh my god it felt so much more viscerally real it was incredible

Just remembered I have a psychiatrist appointment so early tomorrow. And I obviously dyed my hair so recently because there's green staining on my face. I don't think it's going to look great for the bipolar diagnosis, to disclose that I was feeling impulsive and wanted to get control over something, so I dyed my hair at midnight.
#i dont really like this psychiatrist but ive only seen her once so i figured i should give her one more shot#last time i saw her she adked how i liked my anxiety meds#i said i love them. theyre helpful and have no side effects since my body got used to them#and i said i explicitly didnt like ky old ones cuz of how they made me feel#she prescribed the old ones and said i should just tey taking a smaller dose. even though im on meds i like#but the bigger problem is#we went over all my previous medications. ive been on several. a lot of antidepressants especially which is really bad for bipolar#the worst antidepressant cause pericarditis (swelling around my heart) that made me go to the emergency room#we went over that. i told her everything i just told you#my bipolar leans heavily into the depression so she decided to tey another antidepressant along with my mood stabilizer#can you guess which antidepressant she prescribed? can you??#and i didnt realize it at the time because she called it the generic name so i couldnt explain she shiuldnt prescribe me that#and i meant to callher about it but it completely slipped my mind and i thought i had more time#and then suddenly my appointment is tomorrow#or the other thing she recommended was lithium. which feels like wuite an escalation#eapecially since she said it can cause irreversible damage to (maybe remembering this wrong) my kidneys#like i feel like there must be a better option. none of which are anxiety meds i dont like. an antidepressant that sent me to the hospital#or something that could cause irreversible damage. like i feel like theres a better way#i also need to talk to her about setting up an adhd assessment#i had an assessment a few years ago in which i was told im 'too smart to have adhd'#calling adhd people not smart is bullshit. you cant be too smart to have adhd. and i feel like i was just dismissed because im female#he said he wished he could score as hugh as i did on the knowledge tests#man me too. maybe then you wiuldnt be such an idiot. how did you get a license to practice. how did you pass any higher education#are you just a random guy that walked in off the street? i refuse to call him a doctor#i call him a quack or by his full name because i don't think he deserves the respect of that title#what was i talking about. oh yeah trying another assessment with an actual doctor this time#wish me luck with my appointment tomorrow bcuz she might try to kill me again#or dismiss my concerns of adhd like she dismissed my dislike for my old anxiety meds#im in hell. being mentally ill is hell a little bit#actually its not. im fine with my mental illness. im not fine with how doctors treat me because of it

getting covid twice in a year has turned me into such a terribly anxious paranoid person it's driving me CRZAZY!!!!!
#especially knowing how much it wreaks havoc on my body AND mymind i really don't think i could handle getting it again#went to a bday party last night that was pretty small + all the windows were open + air filters on full blast but i had a 12 hour panic#spiral after leaving like SOOOOO convinced i had contracted covid#i'm about to be back in school starting this week so i won't have time for social activities which will reduce my risk of getting it again#big time but also i work with so many kids and those guys are little vectors i love them but they're vectors!!! and so are my 50 coworkers!#my boss also hates that i mask and has something to say about it every time she sees me which hurts my feelings frankly!!!#anyway i'm worried if i get covid again it'll damage my brain tot he point i won't be able to finish my degree bc i have such a hard time#learning new information + my memory recall is shot and i jsut feel stupid covid has made me permanently stupid#anuway. have a good night everybody!

#it makes me SO ANGRY#they're always written by ppl who have ZERO knowledge of how vfx in film actually works#and then there 700 replies that are nonsense or misinformat#but the trex in Jurassic park- THE FULL BODY SHOTS WERE CGI STFU#but Guillermo del Toro- WE REDID ALL HIS CREATURES OVER THE PROSTHETICS STFU#but vecna/jarnathan/the predator- THE WERE ALL RETOUCHED YOURE NOT SEEING PURE PRACTICAL EFFECTS#AUGH#as if vfx artists don't have it rough already#you get punched by your studio punched by the director#and then if your shit is good enough people will say Look! Been finishing up act 2 of bg3. It's a good thing I find the battle systems so fun bc Hoo Boy there sure do be battles
#speculation nation#im going the epic hero direction this run. mostly bc i care about saving innocents' lives as much as possible#which means Killing Necromancers...... ugh.#cloudkill my beloathed. me n my homies hate cloudkill (used against us at least)#i got my vampire kicked into a fucking CHASM i had to reload a save 😭😭😭#he's been phenomenally unuseful in these fights bc theres so many people and so few places to hide#usually hes one of my biggest damage dealers. and sometimes he can get a good shot in#but a lot of turns hes just firing one dinky lil arrow and then hiding in the corner#...... i keep forgetting about the fancy arrows. i have so many of those. i should try to remember them when i get to the Big battle.#which. hmmm. we r gonna hope it's not Too difficult a battle. ive been able to get thru every battle so far in this game#turns out im Pretty Damn Good at this game. to the point where i'll brute force it and still end up fine.#the literal only battle i had to leave and go back for was the big spider queen thing in the bottom of the well. she was scary.#im level 9 now tho and full of so much guts n grit. and loot. holy fucking shit the loot.#im looting every body (including fallen allies. sorry guys ur gold's goin to a good cause.)#i have karlach with a like 460 carrying capacity but she STILL keeps getting encumbered. from all the armor.#im making fucking Thousands off this tower capture im gonna have so much fucking money#once i leave here and can actually. sell them all 😂#anyways i have been having fun! had to stop for the night bc it's late. but i will be killing thorny ass tomorrow. mark my words.

#text post#full disclosure i struggled so hard to fall asleep last night i wound up sleeping on my floor post T shot#bc i couldn't convince myself I'd earned a shower (i took it just recently after waking up instead tho) or to lay in my bed#and all i want is to get any of the ideas I've been having down on the page concretely#or to finish one of my drafts and post it#or to get the stuff I've only posted here up on my ao3 too#however i work later today and rn my body hurts and my brain is once again on the kick of 'lets think abt all ur traumas at once'#so i fear i am not going to be as productive as i want#if i get thru my shifts and can help Housemate get some dinner squared away I'll call it a win for today#i feel like I'm keeping the bar too low for myself but whenever i put it higher i wind up not meeting it one hundred percent#and then i just feel terrible so. idk. im trying. once again. day in day out#really just wanna go hide in the midwifery charge au but alas i cannot merge myself into a fictional universe#but maybe tomorrow i can get some writing done for it
