i started gideon the ninth via AUDIOBOOK (the option open to me via the library right now) and it's a lovely auditory experience! i enjoy the choices the voice actress made for gideon's and harrow's voices very much.
im only 1/16th of the way in and i already i think harrow is much more fascinating than i see thiswebsite giving her credit for. the fanon vibe seemed to be that she is stony and like uncommunicative but no she's fascinatingly vitriolic and i would be remiss if i didn't mention the erotic courtly love dynamic SHE is working to create here. like gideons going " aw fuck off" in an earnest and honest way but harrows putting in the work to make this strange !she's slowly stepping on gideons neck while casting her pitying insults! she's saying "gideon ask why i waited until the last second to ruin your life" and then gideon says "why did you wait until the last second to ruin my life" and then harrow says well im glad you asked, it's because i hate you and i wanted to witness the extremities of your suffering!
and where is her credit for this ? people were calling her REPRESSED !
