I think she combines psychodynamic, humanistic, and existential therapy. Conducting philosophical and existential conversations? The way she doesn't give simple answers but rather asks a lot of questions or leads to conclusions?

Asking Hannibal about his feelings towards Will, why does he see the potential for friendship in him? Leading Hannibal to the conclusion that he actually fell in love with Will, and since he ate his sister out of love to forgive her for leaving him, he must do the same with Will?

A question for Will about whether he haven't lerant his lesson or whether he went to Hannibal actually because he misses him that much? Their entire conversation leading up to the question of whether Hannibal loves him? And that "but do you ache for him?"?

No wonder she ended up being an alcoholic after dealing with those two stupid cannibalistic gays.

James is going to be cool. He’s going to be normal, casual. It’s just a night out with friends he can handle that. A night out with friends, including his best friend and his best friend’s brother who happens to be the most beautiful man James has ever seen. But James is going to be totally cool about it.

James’ plan works for about five minutes until Regulus shows up wearing low-rise jeans that hug his hips and a crop top. A fucking crop top that reveals several inches of smooth skin, a slender waist and a belly ring. A fucking belly ring.

James’ brain short-circuits. There’s not a single thought in his head and he can’t tear his eyes away from Regulus. His eyes travel up Regulus’ body until he makes eye contact and Regulus smirks. He fucking smirks.

“You alright there, Potter?” Regulus asks when he gets close enough.

“Huh?” James’ brain is on a constant loop of how beautiful Regulus is and he can’t form any other words.

“I said are you alright? You look a little dazed?” Regulus’ voice is low and sultry and just as beautiful as he is.

“You’re beautiful.” James blurts out because there are no other thoughts in his head.

“Huh?” Regulus’ smirk drops and his eyes go wide.

“What?” James asks numbly.

“You… I…”

“You?… Huh?…”

“God, you’re both pathetic. Just go fuck in the bathroom already.” Barty's voice cuts through the static in James’ brain.

do you think about the fact that the cold mantle of the shadowhand is gone and withered, replaced by the warmth of the nein and caleb's love, and verin, for the first time in his life, gets to have a real relationship with his big brother that's not a facsimile of den politics or social standards??

the scene where verin and essek (in disguise) meet with vox machina is SO important, because essek--the former shadowhand to the bright queen, traitor to the entire dynasty, fugitive to two nations--smacks his brother on the arm and chides him for being embarrassing in front of people of high station. he doesn't try to hide himself AT ALL. he's just... open. warm. at peace.

there's no more cold smiles, there's no more polite aloofness, no more haughty attitude or snide remarks... essek's just a big brother again. a big brother whose little brother came to work with him one day, walked up to the president of the country and asked her to sign his pamphlet with a shit-eating grin, while essek tried not to burst a blood vessel in the corner.

no matter what verin's opinions are on the dynasty and the beacons and essek's crimes, i'm willing to bet that there was a part of him that wouldn't have changed a goddamn thing. because without essek having stolen the beacons and handing them over to the empire, and without him meeting the nein, verin would've never gotten the chance to have his brother back.
