How the dog's face lit up as he talked about enchanting, how his smile softened as he looked at him. Ren loved Martyn, Martyn swears it. No matter what was happening at the end, how much of Ren was left. He loved Martyn.

The battle of Dogwarts, the mark the two left, would signal the very beginning of the end. Nothing would last much longer after, directly responsible for the outcome of the series, even though they wouldn't live to see it.

Martyn was fighting for Ren and by Ren's side since the very beginning when he stumbled across Renchanting. In tandem, the Ren that began third life with Martyn was gone before the final battle of Dogwarts, before the flag had even been made, much less flown. Martyn fought for his king until his final moments, if there were no weapons we wouldn't have hesitated to stake his life in a battle of bare fists to protect Ren. Ren who, by that point, was long gone, hollowed out by the fury of the Red King and used as a vessel for blind violence. Martyn could've looked Ren in the eyes as they both bled out on the alter and instead of any recognition that his partner was laid there, dying before him, he would've seen the eyes of a wild animal. Terrified and furious, ready to chew it's own limbs off before it surrended to death.

Both of them justifying the outcome to themselves as they fall through the void of death before moving on to whatever would come next. They'll swear that it all happened because of the love that they held for each other. Ren never would have summoned a war god and let it tear out everything that he stood for until he was an empty shell if he didn't think it would protect Martyn. He was sacrificing himself in the hope that the act would allow them to win, Martyn to live. Martyn only stayed once everything started to fall apart because of his love for Ren. Because he was desperately clinging onto the fond memories of before the real war started.

They have to swear that it all happened because they loved each other, because if they didn't, all of it would be meaningless. Everything they put the other through had to have happened out of love, because otherwise it would've been out of cruelty, a mutually assured destruction.

1. This round wasn’t actually the quarter finals, the next round is. I literally looked up what a quarter final is to be sure i got it right, looked at the seven polls i had scheduled and thought “yeah that looks right” and continued with my day. Dunno how I messed up but I cant change the poll name now. Next round (the actual quarter final) will just be called round 5 to avoid further confusion. Semifinals and finals will still be named that though, along with their respective rounds incase i somehow mess up again (I don’t think I will but at this point I shouldn’t be trusted with numbers sooo)

I never understood how sword fights could be homoerotic considering how violent they are, but then I saw the sword fight between these two (which you can see here: https://youtu.be/TOckQWR5UG4) and literally it was SO gay that it finally clicked for me how swordfighting could be romantic. How the duel starts:

After the duel (if Yuri wins—there’s slightly different dialogue if Flynn wins. Both of them are gay as hell):

They lay down on the ground VERY close together, as if they just had sex and are now going to do pillow talk. I cannot make this up. There’s also several moments throughout the dialogue of them gazing into each other eyes and then looking bashfully away.

Flynn, very fondly and very gay: I can’t even win with a sword anymore…

Yuri, laughing at him: loser (very clearly affectionate)

Flynn: ….you’ve gotten better Yuri

Yuri: you too. You would’ve beaten me easy if you were still like when we were kids

Flynn: didn’t we swear on our swords when we were kids? We would fight to make people smile

tropical demon realm below the ocean. Listen, the entire ocean is a portal. Mika is an orphan who lives in a little cottage by the ocean. Who left this young boy here alone? Why would they do this to him. No idea. Anyways he’s been surviving on his own for quite a while. He is out gathering food for the day and he gets attacked by some creature from the underworld, he runs from it and gets cornered in a cave. He meets another guy in this cave, some pink haired kid with strange eyes. When the monster comes after him the other kid kills it. Mika pretty much swears his life to this kid immediately and the kids just looks at him like a piece of meat.

before either of them can exchange a word the other kid leaves. When Mika exits the cave this kid is nowhere to be found.

Mika grows up and learns how to defend himself as he gets older, improvised weapons and such.

He knows not to go anywhere near the ocean unless he’s fishing. He knows not to go swimming. He knows not to stick his hand in the water. But something is calling to him. Against his better judgment, he goes for a swim.

Bitch is immediately dragged beneath the barrier between realms. Took him three seconds.

anyways he ends up in the demon realm.

Shu is there btw he’s some kind of demon lord. Good for them.

the hell realm is a tropical nightmare reminiscent of the manga Hell’s Paradise. Wonderful manga btw, not for the faint of heart.

So the rest of the story is Mika trying to find a way back to his realm because as a living soul, he definitely shouldn’t be down there.
