i think that lesbian webseries i watched when i was like 15 about a lesbian who had a very drunken one night stand with some frat boy himbo and accidentally got pregnant from it became too much of a blueprint for how i play with fictional character dolls

Disco Elysium if it was a Hollywood Blockbuster
(inspired by the trailer by @brainrotdotorg)
Harry has to have a glowup arc where he regains his faith in his job and ability to be a good cop. The police isn't criticized here apart from maybe some handwaves at "a few bad apples" rhetoric. In the climactic moment, the phasmid appears and tells him it is his duty and his destiny... to reform the RCM
Because we don't have time for a nuanced take on addiction in this 90-minute movie, the narrative just turns on a dime halfway through to portraying Harry's alcoholism as rugged and badass instead of pathetic, or he suddenly stops drinking when he gets his groove back, with no withdrawal effects shown. The whole thing about speed helping him be better at his job doesn't factor in; Harry drinks and does drugs because he's sad about Dora and there's nothing more to it. All he needed was to buck up and focus on being the best cop in all of Revachol
Klaasje is portrayed as a one-dimensional scheming femme fatale. Her backstory doesn't really come up. She's dumbed down so that Harry can triumph over her, and is also genuinely attracted to him for some reason, "I am Sherlocked" style
Ruby is either cut entirely, or she's genuinely a predatory lesbian and that's it. If the latter, she shoots herself in the head in front of Harry and Kim and they make a MCU-style "Well that happened" quip about it
No political quests! We don't have time for that. Actually, both communism and fascism are only mentioned once in a backstory dump as stuff that happened in a bygone era. If anything, the film ends up really riding for moralism by complete accident
The film makers don't really know what to do with Kim, so he gets reduced to a guy that stands around and delivers snarky one-liners
The Hardie Boys are in one short interrogation scene, not quite enough to make casual moviegoers care when half of them are gunned down
Fan-favorite characters such as Cindy, Cuno or the Speedfreaks can be seen once in the background of a group scene, but have no lines (you KNOW hollywood couldn't handle the Cuno). It's announced on the director's insta as "a little easter egg for eagle-eyed fans"
Joyce has a way more active role, but also her character turns into an utterly flat "milf girlboss" type who gives Harry and Kim direct instructions on what to do, Madame Director style. The movie writers pat themselves on the backs for being more progressive and feminist than the source material. Also she has nothing to do with the mercs, they just sort of... appeared. Don't think about it too hard! It's stressed repeatedly that they're "rogue agents" and it's really nobody's fault that they're there
Evrart is a corrupt mob boss and that's it. He will be played by a skinny actor in a fatsuit. He also doesn't help find Harry's gun, Joyce has someone retrieve it offscreen so she can gravely and meaningfully hand it to him just in time for the mercenary tribunal
The Deserter just kinda being a shitty sad old man would be too anticlimactic for our summer blockbuster, so he is rewritten to be some kind of evil mastermind. Maybe he even directly communicates with Klaasje and tells her what to do, again "I am Sherlocked" style
The tribunal absolutely does end with RCM backup triumphantly arriving to save the day, led by Jean who underwent a mini-arc offscreen about putting his differences with Harry aside because at the end of the day, they're both cops, and goddamn it, cops help each other. He dramatically takes the wig off and chucks it on the ground to signal his character growth, and everything
No homo-sexual underground thought. The Smoker on the Balcony is allowed to show up in one scene, where he flirtily waves at Kim and Harry. Kim nods at him. Disney's first gay character--
There's a moment where Kim talks to Jean, expressing doubt about Harry. Cut to Harry doing something goofy across the room from them. Jean briefly glances at it, shakes his head, turns back to Kim and says gruffly: "He's a loose cannon... but he gets the job done." This is supposed to be a good thing

Buddie fans are relentless (and it's a good thing)
Geez, I was not prepared for the rollercoaster of woe that comes from shipping a pair that is not canon (yet!).
I am not a new fan to the show, 9-1-1. I've loyally watched every week for years, cherished the members of the 118, cherished Buck and Eddie's special relationship. I just hadn't been involved in the fandom of it all up until recently. I was just a tv viewer. But being newer to interacting with the fandom, I admit that consuming social media about 911 and Buddie has thrown me for a bit of a loop. I keep seeing the same recycled tactics to argue why people who ship buddie are delusional and why buddie will "never happen". These arguments are off-putting and frankly quite poor. (I don't like to focus on the negative so this will be my only post dedicated to this.)
Argument One: "There's already a gay couple on the show." No kidding. The statement is problematic in and of itself; people don't go around limiting the number of straight couples on a show, do they? It's fantastic that we have a strong, integral gay couple in Hen and Karen, two beautiful and fabulous lesbians, that are vital to this show, but why can't there be more? One representation alone doesn't cover the spectrum of LGBTQ+ portrayals of different romantic dynamics.
Argument Two: "Why can't we have two guys be close without putting a romantic label on it? It's refreshing to see male friendship." Bro... Platonic male friendship is important (all friendship is). It's not all that uncommon, though. Male friendship is focused on a lot already in many shows. But two adult male friends discovering new aspects of their identify that shift their relationship with each other toward something romantic? That's the more refreshing take here; it's one that we don't get to see in media right now but should. Flip the script, 9-1-1.
Argument Three: "They weren't introduced as gay or bi-sexual. It would be too out of left field to go there now." Not true. The show has the creative freedom to explore this narrative and can do it plausibly. There is obviously a very large part of the 9-1-1 fandom that has already interpreted Buck and Eddie's story as having the potential to become romantic. The pair has many parallels to the other canon couples on the show. There are plenty of moments and scenes from prior seasons (post-tsunami with Christopher, the shooting, the Will, all of Eddie Diaz's fond gazes aimed at Buck, etc.) that can be referenced in future episodes via well-crafted montage/edit that will help shed light on any developing feelings from either or both Buck and Eddie. Besides, not allowing a relationship to evolve into something different just because it didn't start out that way? What kind of stunted outlook is that? We want a story about how individuals can question and explore their sexuality at any age. Heck, during the graveyard scene near the end of season 6, Buck and Eddie talked about how experiences have changed them. They're clearly still growing and changing as individuals. It is not a stretch for them to discover whatever they've been searching for this whole time is actually found in each other. ---- That's it from me on this. I'm going to try doing a better job of ignoring the negative talk out there. I hope all buddie fans stay positive too, and when they call us relentless, we take that as a good thing. I hope we all recognize and resect the other characters and ships of this wonderful, wonderful show of ours too! Most of all, I hope we respect each other.

*Vibrating with excitement* would you like to share opinions on tlt characters zodiac signs. Because I have so many
(Naberius is a Virgo sun Taurus rising imo)
I have a lot of opinions. Bear in mind that I am not an astrology expert and I personally consider zodiac signs simply a fun, sometimes humorous thing and not an end-all, be-all thing. I don’t know a thing about rising signs or moon signs or all that. I don’t even know my own full chart! I’m friends with a very big astrology buff and they—in all seriousness—told me I was born the wrong sign 😂. According to them, I act like a Sagittarius.
But as for my TLT zodiac opinions, I’ve included my thoughts in the tags of each poll I’ve posted. So far, my prediction have been 50/50. I’ll go into more detail about my thoughts in this post, though.
Past polls:
Gideon is an Aries. Two of my best friends are Arieses and they give off the same energy as Gideon. It’s a kind of ‘fuck you if you’re rude, fuck me if you’re hot’ energy. They don’t give a flying fuck what society thinks of them. They’re also incredibly gay. Do I also happen to fall for Aries a lot? Yeah. Am I in love with Gideon Nav? Also yes.
Harrow is a Scorpio. I’m a Scorpio and so is one of my other best friends. I identify a lot with Harrow (we have the same genre of religious trauma/Catholic guilt, as well as a shit ton of grief and loss in our lives), but honestly, I just go with vibes. Incidentally, I’m related to one of people who helped discover Pluto (the planet that rules Scorpio) which is also the Ninth house. Like, legit these bone lesbians are from Pluto. I’ve seen several posts joking about that why Harrow’s so short. Because she’s from a dwarf planet.
Palamedes is a Virgo. This is based solely on one guy I knew in high school. Dude was a walking encyclopedia and had a pair of Pikachu sunglasses. I feel like Pal would wear Pikachu sunglasses.
Camilla my love. I thought Leo. Again based on one person I knew in high school. But Tumblr at large thinks she’s a Virgo and after some thought, I agree.
The Tridentarii are either Leos or Geminis. I said this in the tags, but Leos for personality, Gemini for the meme. My friend from high school is a Leo and she is one of the most driven and determined people I have ever met (so Ianthe it hurts). But she’s also one of the biggest romantics I’ve ever met. Like romantic as in the art/literature movement. She wrote me a fucking poem hyping me up because she saw that I was going through a tough time (self image issues). She compared me to the goddess Athena and I have never been more honored. Ray of fucking sunshine is the most wonderful sense (CORONA AF).
Babs. He was a fucking asshole, but he deserved better than what he got. Taurus. Yet again, based solely on a dude I knew in high school. Voice of an angel that boy. Bust out into a rendition of “A Whole New World” on an escalator one time and no one complained because it sounded so good. But a low key asshole. Not entirely unexpected as he was a tenor. Yes I am throwing shade at tenors. Most tenors (and many sopranos) in my experience are bitchy as fuck. Naberius Tern has tenor energy. Polls ended with Leo taking the win, with Aquarius a close second.
Other:
Dulcinea. The real Dulcinea. My other love. She’s horny for revenge and I love it. Chronic illness Queen. Like, can we please talk about the representation in this series? We have all manner of queer representation, mental illness rep, and chronic illness/disability rep! I know that *spoilers* it’s actually Cytherea in GtN, but then the real Dulcie shows up to be a bad bitch in HtN and I am in love with yet another TLT character. She’s a Libra and I love her.
OUR LADY OF FUCKING PASSION. Pash. TLT’s John the Baptist (take a look at Alecto Theory 11 for more on that). Capricorn. I don’t think I know any Capricorns irl, but from what I know of them, she’s a classic Capricorn.
So yeah, those are my thoughts.

Queer books I haven’t seen anyone talk about (but are really good)
Teach the Torches to Burn by Caleb Roehrig
This book is the one I’ve read most recently. It is a queer retelling of the classic Romeo and Juliet set in the 1300s with a couple of twists that shape the story into something new and refreshing. While reading it, I could never guess what was going to happen next because I wasn’t sure where it would parallel the original tale of Romeo and Juliet and where it would split off into its own story. It has a gay main character, an mlm relationship, talks about the struggles of being queer in older times and unaccepting spaces, and has multiple queer characters. It also discusses freedom and liberty to live the life you want to live. I would highly recommend reading it if you enjoy queer themes and historical settings!
You Know Me Well by Nina LaCour and David Levithan
This book tells the story of two people who meet and form a deep bond with each other, where through all the trials of their day-to-day lives, they feel like they have someone who finally knows them well. It tells the story of friendship, communication, and having someone to talk to who understands you. To put it short, this book is probably the gayest book I’ve ever read (which is saying something—I read a lot, and mostly queer books). There are maybe one or two characters in the entire book who are straight, and they aren’t directly involved in the main plot. There is a lot of LGBTQ representation, and it’s fairly diverse, with multiple types of queer people and experiences. It’s a coming of age story of sorts, with the main characters figuring out who they are and what they want. I’d definitely recommend giving this book a read!
Candidly Cline by Kathryn Ormsbee
This is another coming-of-age book, with a girl discovering what it’s like to be queer in a town that isn’t particularly accepting. A main theme in the book is Cline, the main character, working hard to achieve what she wants to do in life—music—despite her mother’s wishes otherwise. It has sweet moments of young love, as well as some not-so-sweet moments of homophobia and hatred, but overall this is a book about hope, resilience, and how kindness can change someone’s life for the better.
So This Is Ever After by F.T. Lukens
So This Is Ever After is a fantasy rom-com that explores the unanswered question of what happens after the Chosen One saves the day. The characters are lovable and funny, their relationships with each other well-established, and the banter witty and hilarious. It includes childhood friends to lovers, the classic ‘Chosen One’ trope, and lots of miscommunication (so if you don’t like that trope, I’d suggest skipping this one because it is the main driver of the plot). The main character is probably somewhere under the bi umbrella (although we don’t get any confirmation on this because they don’t use labels) and there are diverse queer characters, including a character who uses they/them pronouns, a character who is suggested to be polyamorous, and numerous other unlabeled queer characters. There are so many moments between Arek and Matt (the main character and his best friend/love interest) that are full of pining and anticipation that it feels like a big sigh of relief when they finally get together. I personally love this book, and to any book lovers of magic and romance, I recommend giving this book a read.
I Think I Love You by Auriane Desombre
This book is a sweet story of two girls who fall in love despite themselves. The main characters are bi and lesbian, and each one talks about their experiences being out of the closet (or not), being queer, and how it causes others to perceive them differently and have expectations about who they’re interested in. They are both a part of a friend group, and the book explores the dynamics of the group together, both with and without the main characters there. It also includes themes of honesty and being yourself, along with knowing who to give your trust to. The main characters have their ups and downs in their relationship, but ultimately it is a story of queer love and pride. I’d recommend this book if you’re looking for a short but sweet story about friendship and love.
Loveless by Alice Oseman (or anything by Alice Oseman, really)
The only people I see talking about this book are people who are aspec, so I’m counting it (also because it’s my favourite book ever). The plot of the book is Georgia, the main character, going on a journey and figuring out she’s aroace (aromantic and asexual—look them up if you need to). It has multiple queer characters and great diversity—the main character is aroace, obviously, and there’s also a lesbian character, a pansexual character, a gay alloace character, and a bisexual aroallo character. The process of Georgia discovering she’s aroace is long and bumpy, but it’s relatable and captures many of the feelings I and many other aroaces have perfectly. It shows how friends are as important as romance, and even more important for someone like Georgia (of course, it isn’t essential for everyone, but it’s an important part of Georgia’s life). All the characters are fleshed out and lovable in their own ways, and their dynamics are easy to adore. I’d DEFINITELY recommend Loveless for any aspecs who haven’t read it yet, and I’d also recommend it to anyone who wants to explore more hidden queer identities such as asexuality and aromanticism.
Never Ever Getting Back Together by Sophie Gonzales
I love this book because it explores the duality of love and hate, and how they aren’t that different in the grand scheme of things. The main characters are both mspec and end up falling in love, and it’s a wlw rivals to lovers situation where they both have opposing perspectives on the same situation. The buildup of their relationship with the struggles it has makes it very satisfying at the end when they get together and work out their issues. It also portrays manipulation in a very realistic way. Overall, I highly recommend this book!

Dana and the paramedic giving off vibes I knew it she’s lesbian/sapphic think her and the paramedic is gonna be a thing or at least after she stops being a patient!
Ericka first thought being Jacob when she needed someone she so real
and I knew wolf favorite was gonna be doctor nash!
they better not make Ericka change her mind about kids bc of van that’ll be worst thing ever, it’s what I hate the most when writers force something a character dosent want on them!
the way Jacob bonds with the patient and shares their pain or burden is so very admirable he’s gonna great doctor he already is!
Dana said gay awakening I knew she was a lesbain or queer I wonder why she didn’t say lesbian awakening?
OMG she said lesbian and I just got the Dana Jacob wlw himbo minus the fact he’s a genius and incredibly smart to be called that he’s just pretty an interesting! I can’t believe I got everything that I was wishing for literally few hours ago they heard my prayers I’m 😭
I stopped after she said lesbian wait what? not her uno reverse talking jericka stop I knew I could trust bestie that’s his bestie telling each other what’s good and looking out for each other! do I know how to mf read characters like the back of my hand or what?
wolf having pierce and pierce having wolf and Dana having Jacob and Jacob having Dana and them being each others go to! and pierce and Dana being nr wolfnicols and jericka shippers those are my family y’all my people!
‪no not Jacob coming just to thank her and giving her favourite ice cream please they so cute and her being I appreciate you so cute I’m about cry! how many times has he come over for him to go all those times and to notice her apartment lights being out again 🤔‬
acob saw the shoes and it looked like she wanted for him to come in if she didn’t already have someone there!
‪nah that woman is one manipulative bit*ch first she threatened her and Carol being the great doctor she is checking up on her when she could’ve just let the paramedics go and do that! She’s better woman then me!
‪I keep replaying certain scenes of the ep and not that baby being all up on grown folks business when he repeated the “you said Jacob” for the people in the back like sweetie thank you but this is grown folk business #BrilliantMinds but Ericka needed that retrospective it’s good ‬
the fact I said I wanted this and now I’m getting this! give it to me nowww
Tumblr media
I truly hope can’t believe in witnessing a slow burn on tv I never get that anymore last time was dair/delena brulian could’ve gotten jjpope but I didn’t 😔 now finally since the 2010s I’ve got a slow burn ship again and it’s actually so good and so slow burny y’all don’t get it
jacob becoming like wolf with the thinking outside the box putting himself in his patients shoes literally like when he joined Katie in the ice bath while Dana didn’t I always knew he was that doc glad we keep seeing it more! he’s so Alex coded minus s1 trashiness
the fact that in Ericka mind if she needs smth or somebody if she feels unsure nervous or anxious about smth the first person she thinks of or wanna call being Jacob ikdr we should definitely bring that up later also if he fixes the lights or talks to her landlord my hero!!
If this is a 16-22/25 Ep show season then I’m fine with them being slow burn until s2 but if it’s like 10-12 ep season show then I’m even fine with s2 last ep when they happen it would eat more if y’all know peak TV you know the rule/formula s2 being when (Delena) it happens 🤭🤭 every endgame ship start in s2 of show
that Jacob door scene if y’all know TV y’all know the difference between the two I love when tv does things like this subtle yet so obvious!! What it means later!
was right she’s a lesbain I just knew the way she was the only one not having googly eyes at Jacob(in ep1 at the lockers) it just made sense! characters should be less obvious if they trying to make us believe someone isn’t gay or lesbian bc first obx now this show they just make it to obvious with who’s a lesbian and who isn’t

Kate x Lucy
when I started shipping it if I did: pilot episode kiss, ngl, where it establishes that they must already be on-and-off hooking up in between sniping at each other about classified information. Lucy just shows up at her apartment!
my thoughts: when I watched this show I was genuinely bewildered by how this CBS procedural NCIS spin-off....just has a whole-ass lesbian romcom happening in its first season? The S1 finale literally ends on them getting together via a grand gesture with the rest of the team cheering.
anyway, they're so fun! they hit a lot of dynamics I like - Lucy loves loudly and openly while Whistler is brittle and contained, they have tension with a history, the height difference is cute, and man, maybe for a different ship all the drama in 1B would've been too much, but for these two I loved it, and not just because Whistler made the best kicked puppy faces while pining hopelessly
my random headcanons on when they each realize they're gay is that Lucy realizes in middle school and Whistler realizes in college, not too long before Noah's death. Don't think anything in canon contradicts that
What makes me happy about them: they're so ridiculously fond of each other. The consistent hearteyes they aim at each other while engaging in tropey shenanigans and still being individually competent agents makes me very happy. When it comes to the relationship angst, I like that for them it's never closeted/sexuality angst but their very different personalities, the usual fwb-to-lovers difficulties, Whistler's big mistake, and working together. They've been no less delightful as an established relationship in S2 and S3 - I love how much the show loves them, they literally got a ficcy-as-hell undercover-as-couple subplot last episode with all the usual gimmicks
Oh, I also did not anticipate how much physical fighting this procedural would have, and as someone who always wants my faves to get wrecked, I have been very well-served. Lucy almost dying while undercover right after Kate crushes her heart! Whistler getting injured while they're broken up and Lucy yelling at her for it! Such good food. (Show, you can keep beating up Whistler every season, I will never complain.)
What makes me sad about them: Their families, and the resulting loneliness. Lucy talks about her sister and brothers like a youngest kid who used to be close to them but isn't any more, last ep she commented that she knew from a very young age that her parents would never throw her a big wedding like her brothers', the way she gets set off by "financially responsible" as a rationale + her family's money has implications there. Kate's confession of how she shut herself off from the world after Noah's death.
But I like that they know about these things for each other (the way Whistler goes "Right. Right." at Lucy's comment tells us they've talked about this before), and the way they're navigating around and disarming each other's landmines here
things done in fanfic that annoys me: I understand that this is the danger of stepping back into another blonde/brunette live-action f/f ship but I cannot deal with those epithets. Or "taller woman"/"shorter woman" either, all of it always makes the PoV character sound like she has a complex about hair or height. It is okay to use the characters' names, I promise.
things I look for in fanfic: .....I've become such a hipster about characterizations for these two. Lucy is the one who broods and contemplates her feelings, Kate is the one who acts without thinking and gets surprised by her own reactions. Whistler is the one with better work-life balance and hobbies, who moved from DC to Hawai'i and stayed there despite the former being way better for a fed career, who goes surfing every Saturday morning without bothering to be contactable by work, and Lucy is the one who describes her life as consisting solely of "work, gym, and [Whistler]" and sometimes does paperwork on the weekends.
Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: Gosh, I really have no other Lucy ships. For Whistler, I could 100% ship Whistler/Tennant if it was like, after the kids are grown. Why do they stand so close to each other in that 1x14 coffee conversation and say each other's full titles, or have Whistler demonstrate career-threatening levels of loyalty to Tennant, if not to make me contemplate this ship? I hope Sam Hanna's presence doesn't mean we don't get any Tennant-Whistler stuff this season.
My happily ever after for them: Just keep on being badass agents together and stay in Hawaii long-term. Don't really see them having kids, but I can totally see Lucy convincing Whistler of having a cat. ...Maybe get a shorter bed, does Lucy really have to climb that high every night XD.
who is the big spoon/little spoon: lmao I was going to make a comment about Lucy jetpacking because of course she does, but the bed comment reminded me that that they have 10 billion pillows on their bed. One weekend morning Lucy is going to sleepily think she's spooning Kate and find out she's actually hugging those pillows, having been abandoned for the Dreaded Ocean.
what is their favorite non-sexual activity: does sparring really count as non-sexual for them it might really be meals at home? They both cook, they enjoy a quiet night in after their truly hectic cases, and they can put on GBBO or one of Whistler's preferred history documentaries afterwards.

genuine question, how much of The Actual Show rizzoli and isles like, open to the idea of rizzles? Like I adore all of your fics, and I would watch *that* show, but how much of it is fanon vs queerbait vs subtext vs actual canon?
Season 1-4 it genuinely looks like they're headed for a Rizzles endgame. Season 5 is ok but they're taking a step back. Season 6 and 7 they're strangers that are sometimes in the same room. The showrunner changed then and only watched the first and last episodes of the preceding seasons - which were heavy on how much these two women loved and relied on each other, so I don't know why so much went wrong there.
Some of it's scripted, some of it's not. But it's not in the good-natured Xena way of 'oh they're together but the studio won't let us show that so we get around the censors' way. It's 'suburban housewives were our target audience but Sasha and Angie can't keep their hands off each other and now most of our audience is lesbians'.
There was a really great recap on AfterEllen but all the pictures have been taken down. But the genuine chemistry the actresses had in those first few seasons is worth watching. This is the ship that launched a hundred fics for me. In the first run people must have been watching and waiting for something to happen and it never did.
They didn't need to be endgame. They just needed to be something other than strangers in the last two seasons.
So it's a weird show; there's no series bible, no two seasons carry the same vibe, one season is straight-up slapstick. There's plot holes in the backstories and the pets get fridged. Watching Bones really highlights how seat-of-the-pants Rizzoli and Isles was.
But despite all that:
Totally Gratuitous, Totally Gay Touching
Righteous Ponytail of Justice
Sasha Alexander in every outfit
Angie Harmon not knowing what a tomboy is and just standing and sitting in the most homosexual of ways
Senior Criminalist Susie Chang is gold in every scene
Hurt/Comfort
All of the above are good reasons to watch the show, but the hurt/comfort is paramount. Terrible things happen to these women, and season 1-4 they generally end up alone at home together curled up on the couch comforting each other.
Quick warning: season 1 is darker and probably better in terms of plot and cohesion. I rank the show seasons 4, 2, 3, 1, 5, 6, 7.
And now, more evidence of the TGTGT:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I'm not going to try to convince someone to watch a 2010 show with no payoff in 2023 when we have better shows. But it has its place in the queer hall of fame for a reason.
And the show for its time did okay. They did have murdering lesbians, but they also had lesbians mums, and lesbian colleagues. They had a transgender judge that was treated with respect when they figured it out as part of their investigation. It hasn't aged poorly in that sense. The show had a lot of potential, and it flopped when they veered away from the subtext. But as a studio that was a risk they had to take - I doubt they had many male audiences and even now most shows still cater to that demographic. So for a show that really was about women - two women that were very close - to do so well, it had to do certain things. But the show had so much potential that never came to fruition.
One last thing - the books themselves are completely different. The characters share the same names and live in Boston, but that's about the end of the similarities. Tess Gerritsen herself seems very tickled and amused by the fact that this bizarre show exists and that she has a cult lesbian following because of it, and I love her for that and I love that for her. If you ever do watch season 7, she has a cameo in an episode which is precious.

I was tagged by @onaperduamedee to do this game, thank you for that!! I obviously am not good at short questions-short answers but I will do my best ;)
Last song: I started my top100 of 2023 list from Spotify while dying my hair earlier, so there was a good mix. The last one I consciously remember was Ne m’applle pas, by Coeur de Pirate. (ah, looking for that link, I saw that there was Requiem on Water (yes, from the twilight soundtrack) Talking to the Moon, Greensleeves, Bobby, and currently River from the Sky, playing in between)
Currently watching: Star Trek Voyager! I enjoy it so much! It’s fun and I like the characters so much! I like how they care for each other and that the relationsips are so various and most of them not romantically but non the less important. They seem so real. And I enjoy the fact that it’s episodic plots and a lot slower than newer series a lot at the moment. I was overwhelmed with the fast paced dramatic stories and got stressed out by things I actually like. Voyager is calmer and let’s me actually relax, so that’s great.
Three ships: Siuaraine (Wheel of Time), Bering and Wells (Warehouse 13), and… those are the two I am hung up about. Oh, I also wrote fic for Marla/Fran from I care a lot. But not currently. I am currently positively surprised by liking a hetero ship for the first time in years, Tom/B’Elanna from Voyager, it’s cool to see that when the characters are well done, I can also like them even though they are not gay. But keeping it with wlw and also WoT, I am still sailing my little Berelain/Annoura (WoT) ship all by myself.
But yeah, I’ll leave it at those two, there is no third invading my thoughts as much as them.
Favorite color: used to be blue, but I discovered that I like red. Also yellow! Maybe that. But seriously I love colours in general, the more colourful the better, I am not choosing.
Currently consuming: The weekend. Or, ehm the plant hair-dye on my head?
First ship: ouufff, first fic I read was about was Amelia/Owen from Grey’s Anatomy. Well. Made me question a few things about myself because *I liked her so much*.
Relationship status: Very single in my little bubble, and trying not to feel bitter about my well of loneliness (ha, what a great lesbian pun I got in here 😅).
Last movie: But I am a cheerleader with @lilolilyr! I fell asleep… sorry. But we watched D.E.B.s right before, I was awake, and it was great.
Currently working on: Trying to combine two intense work things with also taking time off, to feel less burned-out while doing all of this. It’s a challenge, because time happens so fast, and it makes me feel guilty, but I am trying. Also working on being okay with that, the taking time to chill, not succeeding at things, working on being more okay with myself, less mean, which is even harder. But I try. Fandomwise, still the washing machine/mermaid AU for Bering and Wells and also still Chapter 8 of Yellow for Siuraine (both of which I thought would be long finished my now). I want to finish those so I can start other fun ideas that are cluttering my head/notebook!
The rules said to tag 9 people to get to know better, so let’s see: I am tagging @anandabrat @akittennameddaisy @incompletesong @viharistenno @woodytwig @wibblywobblyida @hecatesbroom @cozcat @masterpieceofunderstatement no pressure to answer these of course, do it if you like to and if not, just don’t ;)!
Thank you for the tag @onaperduamedee!

never thought id defend hazbin hotel but life comes at you from unexpected angles lol
I think a lot of the lesbian rep ive seen has been so chaste and basically besties bc otherwise ppl say its fetishising or appealing to men? bc when i was really into the harley quinn show there was a lot of accusations how the main romance (harley x ivy) was super fetishistic even tho the buildup was really good and the only thing that changed when they got together was that they talked abt their sex lives a lot, and sex is half the show's humor otherwise so it wasnt out of place at all.
idk i feel like lesbian rep is always damned if you do damned if you dont
Unfortunately I agree. And I would blame misogyny, but I see it happening with gay male representation as well. You either have uwu soft bois for straight women who want the romance but think gay sex is icky, or you have fetishised hot dudes for the straight women who are obsessed with what gay men do in bed.
So I think it just comes down to how poorly heterosexuals view homosexuals, and how our representation always has to serve them first and foremost. It can’t make them uncomfortable by being explicit…but if it is going to be explicit, it better make them horny.
I haven’t watched Harley Quinn yet (it’s on my list!), but if the whole show is full of sex jokes I don’t think I’d mind a sexualised lesbian couple. Although maybe it has to do with the genre…women in superhero shows are always going to be sexualised because those kinds of shows cater to a (straight) male audience. Although I’m not sure if that applies to HQ. I can’t really comment because I haven’t watched it.
With HH, I agree that they’d be receiving criticism either way. Who knows, in another universe a version of me might be posting about how much she hates how sexualised Chaggie was lol.
But I think the reason it stands out to me so much, is because of how sexualised the rest of the characters are, especially the gay and bi men. Vox and Val are shown making out with tongue in the finale song. Angel Dust is the embodiment of what I would show as an example of how straight women fetishise gay male characters. So Chaggie really stands out to me as being sanitised because they’re an F/F couple, considering nobody else gets that treatment.
It comes off to me as a straight woman (or a bi woman with a heavy preference/bias towards men, idk the creator’s sexuality) who reallllly wants to think about men kissing and fucking each other, but doesn’t give a shit about or is uncomfortable with the idea of women doing the same together.

🎫 gush pass because I'm curious about your BG3 ocs 🔍👀
BWEHDHFLAKFHFJDU HIIIII KUROH 🩵 THANK YOU FOR THE ASK AND THE EXCUSE TO GUSH ABOUT MY BABIES I WAS LITERALLY ROTATING TJEM EARLIER
some of them are with characters other than gale who i don't self ship with (yet- i'm tempted to self ship with pretty much every other companion too bless my polyamorous heart)
this ended up being so long i'm putting it under a read more
nox- fighter. dumbass (affectionate). Tries their best. Very reluctant leader. Absolutely no sense of direction (Astarion regularly asks why they all let Nox hold the map... it's currently upside down in their hands). Tiefs don't usually come in a green flavor so Nox is sort of shunned even within tief circles. They're also big so they inevitably attract attention- that's why they hate leading. Their biological parents abandoned them, and they were raised by humans (who loved them dearly). Misses the farm they grew up on. Just wants a quiet life and a couple of kids. Favorite color: blue, specifically the sort of soft light glowing blue of the Weave because its usually coming from Gale. They're SOOO protective. Them and Karlach are besties. Has more tattoos than shown.
ledi- paladin. She's smaller than your average aasimar and she has a bit of a complex over it. She WILL puff up her wings to appear bigger (it barely works.) She's sort of cold at the beginning, but she opens up as the story goes on. Her eyes are haloed by wings because she was rendered permanently blind in a fight (kind of like Kanan in Star Wars Rebels) (details pending). This changed her, she ended up switching her paladin oath from Devotion to Vengeance. She has a bit of a rage streak at the start of the game. Looks up to Aylin like a big sister. Hates Shadowheart. (I haven't gotten to act 2 with her yet but I think Ledi would want to kill her for what happens at the end.) Falls in love with Wyll and learns a lot from him. Won't touch alcohol. Likes having her hair played with. Preens when she's bored. Has a very... interesting dynamic with Raphael.
freya- ranger. Left her family behind as a teenager. Used to spending a lot of time alone in nature. mean lesbian. Hits it off with Lae'zel almost immediately, and they admire each other greatly (and in a very gay way). Takes no shit. If looks could kill, she'd have murdered a continent. Just wants to go back to her neck of forest and 'live in fucking peace'. Has a 'oh no he's hot' moment when she first meets Halsin after rescuing him. Completely self sufficient, she doesn't like relying on others (trust issues much? /j). Ends up making good friends with Jaheira and Minsc. Can drink half of Faerûn under a table. If you can make her do it, she snorts when she laughs. Only Karlach has so far. Minsc has gotten close.
livia- my s/i. Lore bard. Uhhh idk what to say about her 😭
i also have two new ocs i haven't managed to talk about yet!
sethe- resisting durge. tiefling, wildshaping druid. Has difficulty controlling their wildshape, so they're liable to turn into a pure white direwolf with eyes so blue they glow at any given point. Honestly prefers being in wildshape. She bonds with Halsin over this. They struggle greatly with allowing anyone to get close to them due to their urge, so Halsin is the only person in their memory to do so. Won't admit it, but she likes being scratched behind the ears while in wildshape. Better at showing positive emotions in wildshape as well (tail wagging, playful behavior.) doesn't like being hot (ironic for a tiefling)- and she will pant even in her bipedal form if she is. Admires Karlach and wishes they could be more like her. Likes rain.
Tumblr media
anne- regular tav. sort of an s/i but not quite. human, storm sorcerer. Naive, a bleeding heart, refuses to think the worst in any situation- which causes contention with Lae'zel, Astarion and Shadowheart in the beginning. Fiercely loyal and will back up her friends to the bitter end. She was raised a noble, so she's poised and very charismatic. Knew Wyll before he took his contract with Mizora and honestly missed him after he disappeared. Her positive and supportive attitude wears on Astarion, and eventually he falls for her. Becomes great friends with Gale. She's braver than she looks but she'll be crying about it. Very homesick. Worries about her family constantly. Has a little brother. Likes spicy food. Smells vaguely of ozone due to her proficiency with lightning magic. Kinda looks like Anne Hathaway, hence the name.

BANSHEE???? THE COP?????
look, i went from the available choices, and my vote went to Beto anyway
Let's break these choices down, yeah?
Cyclops - tl;dr There are specific periods of time where Scott is "hot," and the vast majority of the time he isn't! Is he my blorbo? Yes. Do I run a sideblog where the header is his Foxy Grandpa Ass jutting out? Of course. Can I vote him in good conscience? I don't think so.
Colossus - the man spent how much time trying to fuck a fourteen year old? He heard Mutants were moving to a sex cult island and was baffled because his dead pal Jeff was a human. Pass.
Gambit - not even with Rogue's dick.
Wolverine - I only barely believe he can find the clit, and have ZERO confidence he could locate my prostate, and I'm unsure enough about his grooming habits that I wouldn't willingly put any part of myself in any part of him. Pass.
Iceman - Closeted Iceman? Maybe. But out Iceman is an overcompensating baby gay written almost exclusively by straight dudes, and I have a strict policy of never touching white gays who have "BBC" in their search history.
Warren Kenneth Worthington the Third - do you know what happens to Angel's love interests? I'd rather not be hatecrimed by Cameron Hodge for a few sweaty minutes of underwhelming halfhearted bottoming from a princess who provides the own stuffing for his pillows. Keep flying, birdboy.
Nightcrawler - I know, I know, the man is a sex icon, but I'm not getting involved in any of that family drama. If it's not his evil lesbian moms trying to kill me, it'd be his step-sisters trying to get back in his spandex. Not worth it, especially after all that shit in Way of X.
Havok - Matt Fraction's Clint Barton: The Mutant Flavor???? Listen, I adore a broken man who knows his place as much as the next nigga, don't get me wrong, but if I'm not picking Scott, I'm definitely not picking his Luigi.
I do appreciate his commitment to the bit, though.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Banshee - let's jump back to Cyclops for a minute. Without getting into shipping war bullshit, most of the times he's been "hot" are when he's playing off of Emma Frost, right? Emma's tertiary mutation is the ability to make everyone else more interesting just by association, because she's fucking great. I mean I just read an Iron Man book for her, for fuck's sake. Back in the 90's, when she was newly not-evil, she and Banshee were essentially the co-leads of Generation X, a book that, when it wasn't being the New New New Mutants, about two unreasonably sexy people who couldn't stand each other being unreasonably sexy at each other. Even putting that aside (and if you read a few issues, you'll get it), the man's spent decades dedicated to flying around with his tits out due to mysterious clothing damage, amd I appreciate that.
Sunspot - look, I fixated on him when I was nine, as the only character I could find who was like me at all, and that was ignoring all the gay subtext with his best friend even before it turned into outright queerbaiting. I grew up with him, and he's only gotten better since then. He's the only dude in my top 5 muties. He's flawless (give or take bad taste in men and a propensity for being whitewashed), he's perfect, he's hilarious, he's my vote AND yours, he's Sunspot.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Cannonball - in my seminal 2020 fic, "How Many Times Would You Say You've Been In Love," I summed Beto's Best Boy up thusly:
Sam laughed, a quiet, gentle, chuckle that crinkled the corners of his eyes, not that Roberto could bring himself to look at them. Instead his own eyes travelled everywhere else, from Sam's mess of a mop, to his strong jaw, to the gap in his front teeth, his okay-for-a-white-boy lips, the freckles that covered his nose, and ending up…
Do I love Sam as a character? Absolutely, he's one of the best. But he's not hot, he's a lapse in taste. Love conquers all, they say. 😔
Bishop - as one of exactly two Black men the poll listed, I want to give Bishop his flowers, but I have never read a good Bishop story where he wasn't awful. No baby gays, but no self-hating Black genocidaires, either.

hello it is time for me to bother you with my paranormal/ghost hunting/detective kids!!
incorrect quotes edition
bianca: in scooby doo, secret tunnels are always behind shelves and shit
taylor: could we not base our decisions around what does and doesn’t happen in episodes of scooby doo?
-
bianca: *beatboxing*
lillian: uh- my name’s lillian and im here to say, we’re the best ghost hunters in the usa-
*ghost makes a spooky noise*
lillian: wh-
bianca: *still beatboxing*
lillian: hang on, we have to get a response! uh- stop beatboxing!
-
taylor: wait a minute! we don’t go toward the weird, scary sound!
lillian: yeah, we do. we always do
taylor: *sighs* i really hate that about us
-
elijah: date a boy who forgives you for your past
sam: date a boy who disregards your cracker barrel arson charge
bianca: date a boy who was your accomplice in the cracker barrel arson
-
dani: i’m leaving for a few days, taylor’s in charge. i’ve left notes for each of you with instructions
lillian: mine just says “lillian, don’t”
dani: and i want you to apply that to every possible situation
-
sam: every conversation i have with you guys gets more and more absurd
elijah: you say “you guys” like you aren’t part of the group. well i’ve got news for you, pal. you’re already on the christmas card
- character descriptions under the cut this is a long ass post
anyway they were not initially for my murder mystery/etc thing i have going on in my google docs lmao
bianca’s the main character. she thinks ghosts and supernatural stuff are all complete bullshit, but she is a bored teenager with enough determination and spite that when kids start going missing, she decides she has to be the one to get to the bottom of it. also she’s bi + ace :)
lillian’s her best friend slash partner in crime slash platonic soulmate. she’s the believer to bianca’s skeptic, but she would actually kill a man to see a ghost. uh, no pun intended. she’s witty and sarcastic, but really does love her friends, even if she doesn’t show it. on top of being the number one ghost stan, she’s also the head of the newspaper club, and she’s always on the lookout for a scoop, so this is the perfect opportunity for her. she’s trans and a lesbian!!
taylor’s the other part of this detective trio but not the third friend of one thank you very much. he’s a believer, too, but more in the way that he thinks a ghost could kill him, so he’s terrified of them. he has issues with emotion, and he argues with lillian a lot, but he really is a sweetheart. when his crush makes a dare to go down to the supposedly-haunted boiler room and never returns, he pushes aside his paranormal fears and cracks down on the case. he’s trans + bi!
elijah’s a soccer star and one of the only decent popular kids… and also taylor’s crush. he’s a closet theatre nerd, too, but despite the rumors the theatre is haunted he’s a skeptic. not that that stops him from pretending to be a believer - which ends up being the thing that throws the entire school into chaos, anyway, since he’s impulsive and bold enough to risk a bet to go into the haunted boiler room, but never ends up returning. fucking loser (i love him). he’s gay!
dani’s the president of the environmental club and dear god just needs a break. she’s caring, the single braincell of the group, and nearly always tired from the ongoing shenanigans, but also always ready to lend a hand. she’s not exactly a believer, though not exactly a skeptic, either, believing that there’s no real proof either way, and she doesn’t exactly have time to think about ghosts, anyway. she’s an aroace icon!!
sam’s the school’s resident cryptid. it’s not that he isn’t there, he just lurks in the back, showing up places he probably shouldn’t be, and somehow always seems to know things. things he… shouldn’t know, really. no one knows how he does. he has a dry sense of humor - and speaking in general, really - that scares people off until you get to know him better. he’s bi!
hailey’s… not in any of these quotes and honestly not overall super important to the story (as of now), but she’s the girl’s swim team captain and student council vice president and definitely has her apples in way too many baskets. she’s a literal ray of sunshine, the absolute sweetest person you’ll ever meet, and the holder of the biggest case of comphet this world has ever seen. she’s a lesbian, if that isn’t clear enough.

YES YOUR GENDERBEND TAGS!! One of my pet peeves is when genderbend AUs completely swap personalities and interests, and I'm like, nah man! They'd still be the same at their core, but the most interesting part of the AU at all is how despite all that, the way they'd exist in society would shape them differently. Like even if KH is still a bit odd and cold, she's also cool and artsy, and ultimately an androgynous woman is more palpable to people-- whereas DK being more Masc ™️ with her athleticism and country-ness would put her more in the face of homophobia (but also likely less so with her female peers? So interesting! Would she and FH and the other athletic glee girls get along better??)
Okay so I feel like girl!Dave (Dawn/Dove/Danielle) has a similar backstory and starting point to my ftm!Dave post. She grew up a tomboy but faced more and more social pressure to be genderconforming, and as a result doubles down on performing femininity in exchange for acceptance and in order to hide/deny her queerness.
One phenomenon I've noticed with both afab trans/nonbinary people and queer women is this "girly" phase that sometimes happens. It happened to me as a trans man from the onset of puberty until halfway through college where I really REALLY wanted to fit in (especially as an autistic person) with other kids and with what kind of girl I was expected to be. I wanted to feel normal and boys didn't even accept me in their groups. Before that I'd always flip-flopped on my gender presentation. Being trans but not knowing it, my mindset was something like "I've gotta at least try this whole 'being a woman' thing and give it my all" ya know?
I've always thought that butches were often sidelined on Glee. Probably the only time I saw a form of masculinity that felt distinctly queer was with Dave and bear culture, and both were shelved for nearly half of the show's run. And there's Sheldon, but he didn't come out until season 6. The only butch lesbian character we got was Dani, who barely got to do anything. In S2 and S3, it's implied that Santana doesn't want to be stereotyped as a butch lesbian but the show never indicates that being stone butch isn't something to be humiliated over.
So that's a big part of why girl!Dave is so appealing to me.
Back to my headcanon for girl!Dave ( @angelhummel suggested the name Dove jokingly, but I honestly think that's super cute):
So I envision Dove as being very contradictory in her gendered behavior and mannerisms. Being a longtime friend of Azimio, they're often seen together bullying the gleeks and other "losers" in the same way as canon. She's always in her Cheerio uniform though, and almost always wears the jacket over it even on warm days because she's very conscious of her body. Her and Azimio date on and off but it never goes anywhere (Az is more aware that he's a beard than she is).
She's always been more of a teammate than a friend of most of the Cheerios because they used to tease her in middle school. Her and Santana fucking hate each other. She's pretty tight with Brittany though. Dove has aspirations of being the HBIC and Head Cheerio. She's a pretty talented cheerleader, but not as dainty-looking and "pretty" as the others, so she doesn't get as much credit as she deserves.
I feel like Dove would be more willing to join Glee than Dave, because I think Dave was more concerned about seeming gay for singing and dancing than being deemed a loser (although those two are closely related in his eyes). But when people think of showchoir, they don't usually think of lesbians, although it's not surprising when lesbians end up in showchoir. So I think Dove would feel safe enough to take a chance, especially since Dave (though he pretends not to be) is VERY interested in glee club.
She and Finn would have an interesting relationship. They have a lot of the same interests and they would both probably want to date each other at some point (for different reasons of course). He would also probably (eventually) be the first person she comes out to, and he wouldn't be disappointed about it because he would still be pining for Rachel lol.
I think you're right about girl!Kurt (Kate/Liesl/Katherine/Elizabeth) in a way about her being more palatable than boy!Kurt because you can't really tell by looking at her that she's a lesbian. Remember that Kurt never officially came out to the school; everyone just automatically knew because he fit the stereotype. With Liesl, she's definitely the kind of girl that wears fashionable suits, but that could be, like, a girlboss thing. She's always been a beautiful diva ice queen who doesn't care what anyone else thinks. I'd say her initial popularity at the school was comparable to, say, Lauren Zizes before she joined Glee. She still gets slushied for being in glee club, but she doesn't get singled out. At least, not at first.
After Liesl comes out to Mercedes and then her dad in a very different version of Preggers, she gets asked out by Puck and she's like, "fuck it, I'm gay" and word spreads and she gets a lot of sexual harassment. It's kind of like IKAG, except it's ongoing. Of course, it doesn't help that she doesn't have as scary of a reputation as Santana. This all happens shortly after Dove joins the New Directions so, in true Karofsky fashion, she nopes the hell out of there and says something incredibly homophobic on her way out.
I don't think she would single out Liesl like Dave did in S2, and there are two reasons for that:
1. Dove has already befriended Liesl and they were getting along very well. She has a crush on Liesl and is in denial but she's not angry about it like Dave would be because they have friendship to fall back on. And even before Liesl came out, Dove looked up to her and thought she was really cool.
2. Because she already knows what it's like to be subjected to homophobic bullying. Middle school was really tough on her in her tomboy days. So sure, if she's panicking or needs to save face, she'll casually say some lesbophobic shit, but targeted harassment would bring up too many memories for her. The cognitive dissonance would be too intense at that point.
But I don't know. Maybe she would go after Liesl. If she did though, Azimio would 100% call her out on her bullshit because he already knows that Dove's gay, thinks she's become a miserable person to be around due to her denial, and wishes she would just get over it and stop pretending to be someone she's not. Then again, he might do that anyway.
She would decide to rejoin the glee club eventually and apologizing to Liesl, but not before reaching peak bitchy, mean-girl cheerleader levels that would put Santana to shame.
In S2 after The Sue Sylvester Shuffle and losing her Cheerio status, she would freak out because she never learned how to dress herself heterosexually and has to ask Liesl for help, and there's a reveal at the end where she steps into the halls of McKinley dressed like a baby butch and it's so sweet I'm gonna cry.
I think that's it. Sorry if I rambled too much! I wrote this intermittently for the past 8 hours!

for the ask 24 21 and 17
Thank you :)
24: what is your opinion on remakes of classic horror movies?
I'm not really a fan. There are some remakes that are pretty good, but I wish there were more remakes of movies that arent classics and could use a remake. Like movies that maybe had some flaws originally or didn't have enough of a budget to do what they wanted, etc. Most remakes of classic movies just aren't very good and they will be compared to the original constantly. And if the original is already beloved, the remake isn't going to be a better movie.
21: name the top five worst horror movies you've sat through.
Oooo, I've sat through some bad ones.
Dashcam - I'd say this would be in the top 5 worst ones because this was painful to sit through. If you haven't seen it, I don't recommend it unless you want to spend the entire movie thinking about how much you want the main character to die. She's the most annoying character in a movie ever. She sucks. The rest of the movie is also not that great imo. Which sucks because the director also made Host, which I think is great. But Dashcam is too chaotic, feels like an early draft than a finished movie and isn't nearly as fun or creepy as it's trying to be.
Evil Bong - yes I sat through the entirety of this movie. I found it on youtube and watched it at like 1.5x speed, and it still felt like it went on for too long. Obviously a movie titled Evil Bong was never going to be good, but it is even worse. Also I swear the soundtrack has to be the worst movie soundtrack of all time.
Wrong Turn 4 - despite what I said about the previous two, this is probably my least favourite movie ever. I do like that it's set during the winter and the gore is pretty good. I feel like the movie would be meh at best if it wasn't for one thing - there's a lesbian couple in the movie who is very clearly written and directed by a straight man. They're so sexualised and are shown like they're just dating each other for the men to like them. And I just hate it. I want to fistfight the director. The rest of the movie also sucks pretty badly, but the way that lesbians are portrayed in it is the worst for me.
Hostel - okay, objectively this isn't the top 5 worst movie I've seen, but I am a Hostel hater at heart. I already don't really like the premise of "people in eastern European country kill foreigners" because I am from an eastern european country. I've already heard a lot of bad opinions from people in other countries about eastern europe. And obviously it's not all great here, but I don't like the portrayal that we all can't wait to torture and kill any tourist that comes here. It just adds to the already many stupid viewpoints others have. Also the characters. They're so awful to watch. They say so many slurs in the first few minutes. And then later on the movie shows us one gay character, who is immediately a creep. And the women in this movie are like barely even shown as people. The actual torture stuff this movie is known for is fine. The effects are good and the scenes are fine. But I have a hard time rooting for the main character when he's a giant asshole to everyone. At that point I kinda want him to die already. So I'm not a fan of this movie. I truly think the only reason it's even as well known as it is is only because Tarantino produced it. Not because it's actually a good movie.
I guess the 5th objectively worst movie I've seen could be Aquaslash. I don't hate it nearly as much as the others, but it's not a very well made movie at all. It takes forever for anything to happen and then one thing happens and it ends. At least it's short.
17: do you own any horror merchandise?
I do! I have four horror movie tshirts - a Friday the 13th one, a Nightmare on Elm Street one, a Texas Chainsaw Massacre one and The Lost Boys one. (Ignore the fact that I don't iron my shirts)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I also have this like knock off funko pop of Jason and Freddy that a friend gave me for Christmas ages ago. It's probably the coolest gift I've ever gotten.
Tumblr media
I've also got this jacket that has some pins and patches on it that are horror-related, but they were bought from etsy and aren't official merch. Same with this Saw necklace I have.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I also have some stuff I've made myself, but that's not really the same

okay here's one for your DA OCs and the canonical LIs dfkgjsg how about Taylor + Alistair, Evanna + Isabela, aaaand Rasha + Sera?
Sierra!!! Thank you for the ask ❤ It was so much fun to think about and I wrote more about my own considerations while playing rather than from their character perspective maybe but still it was a lot of fun!! It got long so I'll put it under a readmore sdjdsj
Taylor + Alistair Okay so when I first played DAO the friend who recommended it to me was obsessed with Alistair so I was like 80% sure Id romance him on her recommendation. But then Leliana barged in and I was like wow pretty girl so then I was sure Id romance her. But then Zevran happened. Listen. He swept Taylor off her feet as much as he swept me. Taylor probably would fit just as good if not better with someone else but,, how can I resist.
SO specifically Alistair: I think Taylor was subconsciously still very wary of humans. The timing wasn’t the best, with a human man ruining her entire familys life just before a human man ripped her away from said family and putting her in a position with the mostly human grey wardens. Yes Alistair is half elven and very kind and they became friends instantly and that’s why Taylor didn’t have a nervous breakdown at Ostagar, but trauma is trauma and I don’t think Taylor could help not fully opening up to Alistair at first, even if she didn’t realize it. And I also think Taylor doesn’t consider herself an option for affection? No actually, that’s not true, she does know that she’s lovable etc but it doesn’t immediately occur to her that she’s lovable in the romantic sense. She also worked hard as a teen to not be considered an option. Someone having a crush or potential interest is so foreign to her, someone would have to be very blunt about it for it to click.
Instead, she and Alistair in my canon are very very close but more in the best friend sibling-y sense.
However, while it isn’t in my canon, I do think Taylor and Alistair could have been adorable together. Their personalities complement each other pretty well and they’d be even more grossly mushy if they were together romantically. It would definitely also change my outcome of DAO; Alistair would have absolutely not become king, and Kieran would have two moms and a dad. Thank you.
Evanna + Isabela Again, truly an option I considered in DA2. Lets go over my considerations real quick. The same friend that loved Alistair a lot also loved Fenris a lot, so instead of being sure Id romance him (like I thought with Alistair), now I was sure I wasn’t going to. Idk why. I love Fenris truly. My personal fav candidate was Anders cause I love him and that’s Taylors son, you know. But he was so annoying in da2 god bles he reminded me of one of my irl friends so much and me and my irl friend have a very good gay-bi alliance going on so that’s what I did with Evanna and Anders but then in reverse. It doesn’t have to make sense it makes sense in my head, and so Evanna was officially a lesbian. Merrill is absolutely endearing and the best and I think she understands more than anyone how Evanna struggles with relating to people.
That being said, Isabela and Evanna would be amazing together, but would also wreck Kirkwall even more than it already is wrecked. They would be unstoppable. They are the true mean bi and meaner lesbian couple that is met with awe anywhere they go. However, Evanna would not push Isabela to not be afraid of being loved anymore. Evanna isn’t that socially gifted and she wouldn’t say the right things at the right time and I just don’t think that would be right for a romantic relationship with Isabela. Evanna cares about Isabela, obviously, but I don’t think she’s got enough empathy to understand what she’s going through.
Rasha + Sera Ok so for Rasha, her being a vashoth already limited some options. The same friend who really likes Alistair and Fenris obviously also likes Cullen (Im joking. But she does.) and I wouldn’t consider him an option for Rasha even if she was an option for him. I knew in advance but was really sad that Cass wasn’t an option. Rash was being friendly galpalls (read: flirting) with Josie when the chargers mission happened and then Rasha could be a bit nicer to Bull and the rest is history. For Sera.. I don’t think she and Rasha would really match? Rasha likes and even trusts Sera (which is a huge deal for her) but I don’t think she trusts her enough to let her pull her out of her shell. Like, Rasha takes things very seriously in the inquisition and goes along with the pranks etc. cause Sera is right and things shouldn’t be serious all the time, but Rasha is very good at compartmentalizing that. I also think that Sera would get too nervous about Rasha being as paranoid as she is. Although I do agree they’d be very cute together, I don’t think they’d match.
