starting of with vernon, our favorite cinephile and well known astrology non-truther but for someone who says he doesn't pay attention to zodiac signs, he sure yaps about it a lot. i feel like vernon believes in astrology on the basis that he can pattern recognize quite well and what is astrology if not 2600 plus years of pattern recognition of character traits and habits? his very visible aquarius sun and mercury would agree with me 🤓👆

hoshi for me is someone who 200% thinks he is a gemini. HOWEVER, he doesn't really get what it means and actually to what degree he is his atrocious chart is what actually got me into svt. i just had to see who this disaster man was. as he once said, he is the type to do all, buy all, and then regret it. so, i don't think any belief in celestial forces can stop him from doing whatever he wants.

i know the minghao being in this group is kind of a surprise but i just know he is a spiritual sort of person !! (trust me, he is my best friend). minghao believes in karma, energies created by intent, and superstitions. so, while he won't exactly be into astrology, he would still pay attention to what it says and verify it with the information he already has. his scorpio sun is really prominent but it is his aquarius moon that makes him tolerant (or even encouraging) of the more esoteric points of view.

jun, when he is not in a public or social setting, is calm and grounded (as much as his gemini sun can be). he can stubborn as a bull about his goals and get something of a tunnel vision about it. taurus mars works overdrive in his case. cause look at how he practiced the card magic trick for two hours in nana tour until he got it right. this is why, i feel like he never thought about astrology in any way and won't even know it exists until one day he just stumbles on it. and even then, he is the type of person to say, 'oh, that's cool' and move on. unless it is something he is already interested in, man doesn't care lol.

as for dino, he is someone who likes using every resource at his disposal. therefore, he would sort of believe in astrology if it can help him in someway but he won't live his life based on it. and since dino is very independent and opinionated (aquarius sun and mercury like vernon), even if there is a chance that he is 200% an astrology gurlie, he would make his own decisions based on his own judgement. however, dino is a really sweet and genuine person. if he was friends with a person who likes astrology, he would try to bond with them using it. as a result, he would soak up astrology facts real fast without even trying (that sagittarius moon of his is no joke)

It started with a mug.

Andy presented it to you about a week after you moved upstairs. It was your favorite color (your real actual favorite, not something he’d decided you liked) and had a pretty vine pattern etched into it. It was your mug. You drank your tea out of it every day. And you tried to tell yourself that it was bad because everything that came from him was bad. But it was yours. No one else drank out of it. Only you. It felt like the only thing in the world that you actually owned. 

And so, as you looked at the shattered pieces on the floor, as you told yourself that this was fine, that it was just another thing in this house full of things, all you felt was immense, gut-wrenching loss. You sank down next to the pile of shards on the ground. Maybe you could piece it back together, or, or– You didn’t know what to do. And you knew you were being ridiculous but you started crying. Sobbing. You’d already lost so much. And now the last thing on earth that belonged to you was gone too, and you were the one who destroyed it.

You heard Andy’s footsteps come into the kitchen, but you couldn’t see him from where you were crouched behind the island. “What was that crash?” he asked, harshly. The sob you let out brought him around to where you were. He looked down at you, his hands on his hips. “What happened here?”

You looked up at him through your teary eyes. He was going to be so upset with you. “I’m sorry,” you gasped. “I’m so sorry! I don’t know what happened. It fell, and, and– it’s gone now.” You tried to wipe your face clean, but you couldn’t stem the stream of tears.

“You didn’t throw it?” Andy asked.

“No! No, I would never!” You hoped he could see how sincere you were. 

He sighed and crouched down in front of you. “Explain to me why you’re so upset.”

You struggled for a moment, no idea how to put everything you were feeling into words. And you were so scared of saying the wrong thing. Finally, all you could come up with was, “You gave it to me.”

“Oh, sweetheart,” he cooed as his face completely softened, no hint of anger or a coming reprimand remaining on it. He gently grasped your elbows, “Here, let’s get you up. I don’t want you to hurt yourself on any of the shards.” 

He raised you up slowly, then guided you into one of the stools at the counter. Then he went to the little kitchen closet and grabbed the broom and dustpan. As he started to clean up, you rushed to stand. Andy hardly ever cleaned anything. That was your job. “Oh no,” you tried to stop him. “That’s ok, I can do it!”

He just hushed you, as he quickly made a pile of the shards and scooped them into the pan, and then into the trash. “See?” he said, “all done. It’s fine.” He ushered you into the living room and pulled you down into his lap on the couch, wrapping you tight in his arms. “I’ll get you a new one,” he said softly. “Even prettier than the last one.”

Without even thinking about it, you laid your head on his shoulder, as he ran his hand up and down your back. “You’re such a good girl,” he whispered. “I’m so glad you’re here. You make me so happy.” You knew you should hate that. You knew that it should make you angry. But you were just so relieved that he wasn’t upset with you, you couldn’t help but sink into him. 

After a few moments of just cuddling, he spoke again, his low voice right next to your ear. “I think you need a break, huh? How about we just spend the day together? Your chores can wait til tomorrow. We’ll even order dinner in tonight. How’s that sound?”

You were so worn out, from your sobbing, yes, but also, from everything, so all you could do was nod into his shoulder.

It's tricky because Princess is quite shy in public, and doesn't like lots of people around, but there's always opportunities to be naughty when you put your mind to it. Let's say you're at a party, some of Bucky's close friends are there, lots of other people you don't know too.

i'm conflicted on carl tbh bc i've been on markus' side of things weirdly enough and there's this odd sense you feel of both resentment towards a care figure but also... sort of remorse? guilt? bc it isn't usually ever from a place of hate on their end but rather them not realizing the very reasons for someone's rage and anger and turmoil over injustice like that markus has a lot of conflicting feelings about carl even in The Painter quest, it does sound like some part of him genuinely cares for Carl—after all, if you choose "HUMANITY - COMFORT", markus draws a portrait of carl—but i think another part has always internall resented him because of the core difference between them: markus is an android, carl is a human. if you choose "IDENTITY - PRISONER", he draws himself and carl but both faces are sort of unreadable and unseeable. then there's obviously a painting hinting at murder i hate that David Cage had a good writing team that managed to a lot of the time capture the nuances of prejudice and bigotry and what it is like on both ends, because there is some honestly compelling and very real dynamics at play that i wish got explored more cause i appreciate how characters like Carl are still flawed people

I agree 👆 just wish David Cage wasn't a moron with a moral superiority complex that has to tell you what's right and what's wrong. There are these little details that are nuanced but it doesn't affect what's considered right for the "happy ending" in the main story. It's only for us, poor souls in fandom, to eat and weep for the lost opportunities of something much better. I like that that Carl and Markus conversation shows how different povs both of them have, just... idk, Carl surely doesn't understand everything but he's old enough to know that anger of the injustice is... rather normal lolol. His words how Markus was calmer before, it feels yucky and manipulative like bad parent scolding the child that it grew up, became their own person and doesn't agree with them anymore

In terms of advice, I'd say just be prepared for random stuff to go wrong.

DOWN SCALE.

Unless you have the wide open space required to house an extra entity, I'd say down scale it and make the wing span smaller, because I literally cannot put these anywhere lol. Me and my friends were measuring them by an estimated version of Tessa's height, assuming she was an adult Australian (160cm) and not a dead child wearing robot. The original wing span ended up being almost three and a half Tessas. Down scaling is definitely recommended.

Then going on to material, I'm going to be honest, I don't really know what any good substitutes for what I've been using. The best thing I can think of would be like cutting up one of those big umbrellas you see in like outdoor seating areas because they are built to be sturdy and light enough to to transport places. The blade part of the wings were made out of cheapo yoga mats, they are not Eva foam(idk if Eva foam is more expensive, but cheapo worked for me), they are some kind of material similar to insulation sheets just slightly thicker, I have the cutting patterns on the blog (the mats are 140x50x1cm) . Springs are something similar to "helical extension springs"(they pull things together, like trampoline springs) the strength of these will vary depending on how and if you downscale the over all project.

The general wing mechanism had to be redone a little bit but the new design is just based off an umbrella. It's good to use when you fold it in that the sections form a square in between the joints as a reference because it makes it easier to translate to the wings when drilling holes. The grey moving bar is on the outside now👇

I'll be reall, this part👆 needs a bit of precision. The two holes at the bottom have to be the exact same distance and stuff as each other so the mechanism works. You could probably find a way to optimise the mechanism but I did not (this was just easier for me at least)

The way all the blade parts go up is kinda cheesing it if you want all individual parts to work perfectly without extra materials. I was tying a string together on the bars and it worked to space the wings as I wanted to.

All in all, I'm going to be making a big ol summary post detailing all the stuff whenever I'm done fully.

Prop making and cosplay in general are things I probably can't comment on because I have never done cosplay and most of the prop things, I make are made out of random trash I can find that would cost dumb money if you went out to buy it new.

These for example are gutter or house liner plastic that was left over from a building site (gloves were uber cheap) and they were tedious and smelly to cut out and melt over an open flame, but if you want to do this too wear a mask for saftey unless you don't care about your lungs (which you should)

The claws were a lot easier to make. Easy enough that I made two sets (I think I went through the process of making these already)

I feel like maybe the current gen forgot rule numero uno of being a minor interested in a media that's mature or for adults. You sit down you shut up and you don't say shit because if you start kicking up a fuss your going to get into trouble. That's how I got to play GTA 4 as a 13 year old I said I'd like this game please got it for Christmas then I didn't say jack shit about it to my parents. If you are a minor involved in spaces catered to adults you are the outlier if you don't like something you leave you don't try to make the space for adults more friendly to minors you gtfo and you don't come back until you're an adult, and for pete sake stop entering adult spaces and intentionally parading around the fact that your a minor your going to attract the attention of the wrong kind of people eventually and your going to get yourself hurt. In fact good rule of thumb if you are under the age of 18 and considering saying what age you are, don't. If your over 18 that's your own decision to make but still not the best choice to advertise your exact age on the internet but hey at least your an adult.

Now I like the idea of Izuku having friends, I like the idea of Izuku having ride or dies (such as Shoto.)

However, canon has left all of Izuku's friendships with the 'DekuSquad' and Class 1A as a whole to rot or actively does it a disservice in the name of 'comedy', for Bakugou's benefit or because Hori gives no care to them.

Class 1A, we know, never stand up for Izuku against Bakugou, so Hori's golden boy doesn't look bad. However, by consequence, it also looks like they don't care for Izuku apart from some key members like Tokoyami who never stand for Bakugou's shit. (Bless you, Tokoyami!)

However, with Izuku's main friendships in the 'Deku Squad', we have:

Izuku & Ochako - a friendship/budding relationship that is left to rot and actively done a disservice for 'comedy' and Bakugou's benefit.

Izuku & Iida - a friendship that is left to rot and actively done a disservice for 'comedy' and Bakugou's benefit.

Izuku & Shoto - a friendship that is actively done a disservice for 'comedy' and for Bakugou's benefit.

How are we meant to buy that Ochako cares for and 'loves' Izuku when she calls him 'plain' and is so set on hiding her feelings?

When she doesn't stand up for him when he's being abused by Bakugou and when she looks freaked out whenever Izuku is shown to enjoy his hobbies?

Or when she 'who loves Izuku' barely spends any time with him?

From what we see in canon, we can't.

How are we meant to buy Iida cares for Izuku when he barely appears with him now?

How are we meant to buy Iida is Izuku's "best friend" yet when he is so quick to call Izuku "Mr House Arrest" and take Aizawa's side without hearing out Izuku?

Or when Iida is so quick to hit him* after Izuku getting out of the hospital?

Logically, we can't. *Yes, Iida apologised for doing this. However, this moment does rub me wrong, and even if this punch is nullified by the apology, the other criticisms still stand.

How are we meant to buy Shoto cares for Izuku when he thinks nothing of Bakugou verbally and physically berating Izuku now*?

*Yes, Shoto is an abuse victim, and some become desensitised to this behaviour as a result - however Shoto did not begin the series acting this way, so what conclusion can we draw?

How are we meant to buy that Shoto is a close friend of Izuku when he is chasing after Bakugou's friendship (Bakugou, who is openly hateful of Izuku?)

It looks like, through Hori trying to glorify Bakugou, that Shoto doesn't care as much for Izuku as we would like to think.

Tsuyu and Aoyama are barely even there anymore, let alone bond with Izuku.

Tsuyu used to stand up to Bakugou and his bullshit openly - now? Not a peep. She's only here to be an accessory to Toga vs. Ochako and Ochako as a whole. Izuku, who?

Aoyama has strong parallels with Izuku due to both starting the series quirkless and being given a quirk by AFO and AM, respectively. Yet this friendship is barely given any focus by Hori. Hori doesn't want Izuku to think about his own past during Aoyama's backstory, so he fails to give Izuku any introspection and fails to deepen their connection and Izuku's character as a result.

Class 1A as a whole are also done a disservice by Hori having them all gang up on Izuku with Bakugou leading the charge.

To conclude - Hori hates Izuku and it is clear looking at just how dirty he does all his connections in 1A and major friendships.

The one who tortured him,now is afraid of him,Its a part in the silm,when it is say that Morgoth didn't atacked the nortwest part of beleriand (where the feanorians lands were) bc he knew that there was Maedhros (I cant remember were exactly but it is from the first years of beleriand) ,and thats something to think you know?. Maedhros made a lot of things,"he made dids of great valour" "the orcs ran from him" he was a fiercy Prince,he was a powerfull one,and I think,that all of THIS,is something in what everybody should think,Mae is NOT scared,he is the vengance for the ones who made him suffer,he was their nightmare,and Morgoth and his armies,were never able to kill him,they couldnt end whit him,and he,after all,at least won that.
