I also have a question that kind of popped into my head in regards to them that made me wonder if this is a thing that mostly or only Dick has the privilege of. It's often been pointed out how Dick usually can be physically affectionate with Bruce in comparison to anyone else, like he can touch him freely without Bruce getting upset for the most part or being on guard, and I was wondering if that's the case within canon. I feel like it is, but I'm not entirely sure, though I do know for sure that Dick is someone extremely special to Bruce regardless of whether it's platonic or romantic.

How physically affectionate Dick and Bruce are in canon changes a lot, tbh, which means people's opinions on it really depend on what panels someone has been exposed to. Often there can be a wall between Bruce and Dick, but they grow most affectionate when they are grieving (and that doesn't need to be a person). Bruce has given out hugs to other Bats, but canon does give the impression that Dick can initiate physical contact more easily and often than others. I think specifically for ship purposes, tearing this wall down further is a lot of fun.

How I see their physical affections comes down to their fighting style. They are very much in tune with each other, and Dick would be used to a kind of physical connection given he is a trapeze artist.

Fighting for them means contact. Sometimes painful, othertimes not.

We have a lot more hands-on a shoulder or other body part panels than hugs. Maybe because the panel from Tec #38 is so iconic, but more likely because they are guys. There are a few instances of Bruce hugging others, but Dick remains a source of comfort for him too, which is different from the role others play in Bruce's life.

The hand on heart is a newer thing, but I'm not complaining about it.

A lot of it is interpretation, of course, but I think it says something that when Dick played the role of the Joker in Batman 2011 #1, the way he was exposed to be Dick to the readers (before the true reveal) was by him touching Bruce a ton, lol.

And, of course, Dick was carried to safety a lot when he was younger. Sometimes he even did the carrying himself.

Dick can, very easily, be in Bruce's bubble because he isn't an intruder. They share 4 to 6 years of living together depending on canon and crime fight together for even longer on top of their shared trauma. That doesn't automatically translate to physical contact = good, but it helps.

- Jean's love language is mostly doing acts of service and spending quality time together. Her priority was always Mondstadt, whether it be protecting it or governing it. The role of a protector was embedded in her blood and that was evident with how she behaved with her lover as well.

- Jean holds you with a sense of protection all the time, really tight and secure in her arms. She holds you like she holds her nation, with care and responsibility. When you two are out on dates, she's going to be very conscious of your surroundings to make sure you are safe.

- She is an extremely busy person hence she cherishes the time she gets to spend with you. She loves coming home to you even if it's in the middle of the night because she knows you'd be waiting for her, no matter how late. You are the reason she'd make changes to her habits and time management skills.

- Jean is mostly the big spoon whenever you lay on bed together, her arms always circled around your waist securely. It gives her surety that you are right beside her and the scent of your hair tickling her nose gives her comfort from the exhaustion of working all day.

- Jean doesn't realise that she's holding you so tightly at first but once she does; rather than pulling away, she keeps that hold. Though, she will pull away if you are being suffocated. She is very busy and professional so she doesn't allow being affectionate during work hence you mostly cuddle at home in bed.

Lisa Minci's affection

- Lisa's love language is speaking words of affirmation while holding you close. She is very good with words and confident enough to say as well as express them. She has the greatest number of nicknames for you and all of them are very sweet, she's the type to always say something positive and loving to you.

- Lisa is very open in showing her love and care for you, she has few things in life she prioritises and you are one of them. She prefers leading an easygoing life which gives her plenty of time and energy to be with you.

- It wouldn't be a stretch to say that she pampers you a lot, and she does it fully intentionally. If you are someone working a strenuous job then be ready to be held between her chest every day when you come back from work.

- She knows that you love her breasts, be it during sex or just cuddling. She will automatically direct your head to be laid on her soft bosom and hold you tenderly, fingers running through your hair in a soothing manner.

- Since you live in the Jade Chamber with her, you are more than likely to act as an unofficial secretary giving the two of you plenty of time together. She is a highly reputed person so public affection is rare but in private, she has her compensation whole-heartedly.

- Her favorite place to cuddle is in fact in her office, usually when she's alone or just a few trusted people like Keqing and Ganyu are around. She wants you to be with her through all highs and lows, she wants you to stand beside her the day her Jade Chamber would cloud all 7 nations.

- The Electro Archon spent centuries in isolation, so much so that she is quite out of touch with ways of human life. So, she's going to make the most of her time by spending it with you and learning all that she missed whilst simultaneously enjoying being loved. Her love language is quality time and words of affirmation.

- Ei is quite introverted in nature not because she is shy but because she genuinely doesn't know how to lead a normal life as she spent a lot of time in isolation. A lot of progress happened in the time she was away and she couldn't keep up with everything.

- She is someone who lost her dear family and friends a long time ago and then missed to spend time with the people who were still left. She also surprisingly likes to hear praises and encouragement, especially relating to how she's keeping up with mortal life.

- She is innocent in the sense that she doesn't do big gestures but the small things matter to her. You two can be out on a simple walk around Inazuma then decide to settle down under a tree to look at the sunset, she'd suddenly remember reading a similar scene in a light novel that Yae lent her and want to do the same.

- She isn't touchy; she'd keep her hand on yours just to feel you and you in turn go closer and rest your head on her shoulder. Startled by the action at first, she'd soon ease out and rest her head on yours in response and close her eyes, feeling the gentle breeze flow through and your fingers intertwined together.

Yae Miko's mischief

-This mischievous fox cannot keep her hands off of you, her love language is all about physical touch and acts of service (receiving). She will tease you almost every minute of the day in the sexiest ways possible as she adores getting you all flustered.

- She is the Guuji of the shrine so she prefers being treated like one i.e she likes being treated like a queen....JK but she certainly likes being serviced in some way, be it doing her work around the shrine, taking care of the publishing house in her absence and taking her out on dates without her having to ask.

- Her cuddling matches her mischievous nature; she loves catching you off guard. One of her favorite ways to cuddle is when you are seated on the staircase of the shrine and she sneaks behind you then sits down and hangs her legs on your shoulders, lightly wrapping them around your neck and pulling your head back to be laid on her lap.

- She smirks looking at your flushed face in this position but her hands subconsciously tread through your hair very soothingly, you eventually relax into her and comfortably lay back and she lovingly gazes at you. She may be mischievous and seductive most of the time, but she all that you do for her.

- BONUS: Yae in her fox form is innocently mischievous. She knows how much you like seeing her in that form but she doesn't make it easy for you. But sometimes, she gets self-indulgent too. 7. How often do they say I love you?

Pretty often, probably daily, though not enough to where it feels flippant and hollow. It's very much something that naturally slips out when they get a moment to breathe during the day and can take a moment to just be together. James says it more often but Lily is quite generous as well, often whispering it to him when she passes him in the halls (which of course makes him flustered and not want to keep going to his class).

27. How do they say "I love you non-verbally"

Lots of physical touch and acts of service to one another.

Touching/caressing/being affectionate physically during the day is their bread and butter. For example: James brushes her hair on the couch because he knows how much she likes it ( and he in turn likes how much she leans into him when he does it), and Lily will run her fingers softly over his face until he falls asleep when he's particularly wound up from stress.

I also think they do go out of their way to make each other's lives easier or to be a silent support. For instance when Lily has a difficult exam, James will stay up and fall asleep on the couch alongside her while she studies or Lily will bring a book and watch James at quidditch practice because she knows it means a lot to him (because let’s be honest, James’ love language is attention).

I don't feel like either of them are big gift people, though James had to grow out of it. I'm sure at the beginning he tried to make some big purchase gestures that didn't really amaze her as much as he expected. In time he came to learn that the best gift of all is to make her laugh until her cheeks hurt and to hold her tight whenever possible.

39. When and How did they admit they fell in love with each other?

James knew the second he met her, though it didn't form into real cognizant love until around sixth year when he was able to fully process it as such. I'm in the camp that Lily never really despised him but pretended to dislike him so much due to Snape ( though she was not a fan of his bullying) and her fondness only grew for him as he grew up as a person.

I think she really fell in love with him somewhere between 6th and 7th though she would be in denial about it until mid 7th year. She absolutely said I love you first because James was too afraid of scaring her away and mucking it up.

I think it probably happened quietly and naturally. Lily was even a little taken aback by herself to one day just say it as they were having a perfectly normal day reading in the common room. Being completely blindsided and elated, James probably needed a second to let it sink in before absolutely throwing himself at her, resulting in a lot of laughter and kisses and James repeating it about as many times as he had thought to say it in the 7 years he was forced to stay silent.

the sound of the front door opened followed by a bell that rung whenever someone came inside the small cabined house. Venti opened the door gently, making his presence known before he made it fully inside of the house. He closed the door gently behind him; automatically assuming that you were already asleep by now. He made his way through the house while the only noise was heard was his gentle foot creaks and the tv in the background. His hair was messy and he smelled like sweet honey and a splash of dust. "Daddy!" A small voice was heard from the room he just passed by. His eyes widened a bit before he turned to see his little one peeking from the doorway. You held your favorite blanket and stuffed animal tightly in your arms, looking up to see an unreadable expression from his face. His face softened immediately before crouching down to his knees, opening his arms up for his little. You caught the cue and ran with open arms to your caregiver. Wrapping your tiny arms around him, he did the same as he snaked his arms gently around your figure. A moment of silence passed between the two of you, before he pulled away a little to see your face. "Hey, firefly.. why are you up so late..?" He asked quietly. He looked up the clock from across the hallway. You looked up at him with some tears threatening to escape your tear ducts. "...I missed you.." you said simply, buring your face into his shoulder. Arlecchino's Kit Simplified! (Teyvat for Beginners #1)

Bc this bitch’s (affectionate) kit is so goddamn complicated for no reason.

Because a lot of her kit revolves around Max HP, I've given her a hypothetical value of 30,000 Max HP to give a better idea of how her playstyle works. Of course, as far as I know Arlecchino doesn't have any minimum requirements in terms of her HP stat (like how certain characters are recommended to have 40k HP), so take my examples with a grain of salt. Obviously, if the amount of HP you give her is less or more than 30k, than the values of the Life Bonds will be different.

Combat

Normal Attack - Invitation to a Beheading

Arlecchino’s Normal Attack is the same as any other polearm user but there is a special addition to it. When she possesses a Bond of Life, or Life Bond, that is equal to or greater than 30% of her Max HP (in this case, the Bond would be worth at least 9k HP), she will enter the "Masque of the Red Death" state, in which her Normal, Charged and Plunging attacks will deal Pyro DMG. Additionally, when these Pyro-infused attacks hit an opponent, she'll deal extra damage scaling off her ATK multiplied by a certain ratio of her Life Bond percentage (don't ask me what this means - just know that a bigger ATK stat = more additional damage); this extra damage will also consume a small amount of her Bond, which will decrease her Skill cooldown by 0.8 seconds.

Elemental Skill - All is Ash

Her Skill deals Pyro DMG to multiple nearby enemies, before singling out one enemy and dashing towards them, dealing AoE Pyro DMG. As of this moment, it’s not clear if she automatically dashes forward if there’s only one nearby enemy. Opponents hit by her Skill will have the Blood-Debt Directive applied to them. The Directive lasts for 30 seconds and deals one instance of Pyro DMG to enemies affected by it every 5 seconds; strangely though it only deals a maximum of 2 instances of Pyro DMG instead of 6.

When Arlecchino performs a Charged Attack (it’s unclear if she has to hit the enemies with this attack) or uses her Elemental Burst, all nearby Directives will be absorbed, each one giving her a Life Bond worth 65% of her Max HP (at least 19,500). The maximum Bond value she gains from absorbing the Directives within 35 seconds of using her Skill is 145% of her Max HP.

Elemental Burst - Balemoon Rising

This deals AoE Pyro DMG, as well as heals Arlecchino, absorbs nearby Blood-Debt Directives and prematurely ends her Skill cooldown. The amount of healing she receives scales on her ATK stat and her current Life Bond value.

Passive

Agony Alone May Be Repaid

Arlecchino can gain a Life Bond worth 130% of her Max HP via her Skill in one of two ways: when she defeats an opponent marked by a Directive, or if you wait 5 seconds for the Directive to become a Blood-Debt Due, which can then be absorbed per usual.

These effects cannot exceed the 145% value limit of her Skill.

The Balemoon Alone May Know

While in combat, Arlecchino will gain a 40% Pyro DMG Bonus and can only be healed by her Burst, so it's best that you give her lots of Energy Recharge or pair her with teammates that can help with energy generation, like Raiden Shogun or a character with a Favonius weapon.

Strength Alone Can Defend

Arlecchino gains 1% Elemental and Physical resistance (RES) every 100 ATK over 1,000. For example, if she has 1,400 ATK, that will increase her RES by 4%. This effect caps at 20% RES increase (3k ATK).

Considering what we now know, it seems like Arlecchino's best rotation will be as follows: Skill -> Charged Attack -> Normal Attack -> Burst when low on health. However, keep in mind this is my first time theorycrafting so I could be wrong. Hope this was helpful to you!

Edelgard isn't big on physical affection in my stuff, due to her trauma. The list of people she'd comfortably accept even a hug or shoulder pat from is very limited. Just Hubert at first, then adding Dorothea (I ship them so hard), then adding Byleth after that. Ana and the kids are on that list too of course, but they don't come into play until after the war. Lysithea and possibly Hapi are in there somewhere, but I haven't figured out where. Beyond that it would be tentative at best.

Thanks for asking !! ^^ I agree, it'd take a lot for her to be comfortable with physical affection, even more so public displays of affection. She would accept it in some measure of capacity from her closest allies in my opinion, her partner (any flavor of Edeleth is still my favorite personally) and her family. I also do agree that she'd be more open to being physically affectionate with people who have gone through the same thing as her- they would understand on a deeper level. But how would that affection look like, especially between siblings ?

I think an underrated form of physical affection for Edelgard is hand holding, both romantically (with her partner) and platonically. And this is of particular significance regarding Loki, her younger brother.

See, growing up with TWSITD, Loki never got a lot of physical affection. But suddenly finding himself in a safe environment with people he could trust not to hurt him, his siblings, allowed him to become more and more physically affective. Although he was once touch-starved, he is now incredibly big on getting hugs or any other firm of physical affection, no matter the reason. With Aline and Adel, this isn't a problem. He can go up to them and whine about how he wants to be carried bridal style and he will be, especially if he asks Adel.

But then... that makes it all the more complicated in regards to El's trauma. A good compromise they found is Edelgard holding Loki's right hand. This is very emotionally significant to them because Loki's right arm is burnt and that's definitely his weak spot, which he takes great care of (and which he amputates after the war in favor of a prosthetic arm). As such, he's always incredibly wary of people touching it. I don't picture Thales as being physically abusive often (since he "raised" him) but that's definitely been a pressure point in the past- so Loki only lets people he deeply trusts hold his right hand. As such, he literally places his trust and love in Edelgard's hands. The first time he allowed her to take his right hand was actually when he accepted to walk her path with her, when she reached her hand out to him while he was having a mental breakdown over everything he had been told having been lies.

Another form of affection they both have is Edelgard giving her cape to Loki when he feels down so he can burrow himself in it.

Aline and Adel themselves have pretty heavy trauma regarding the experiments. Aline has done a tremendous work to reclaim her own body and accept her scars, especially by changing her vestimentary style and discovering that she loves wearing short dresses instead of the most covering and conservative ones that the Imperial etiquette advocates for- and she has also needed to be physically available to comfort her younger surviving siblings. For instance, she often holds her brothers or runs her hand through their hair while they wait to fall back asleep after a nightmare. However, although she is okay with physical affection, she hates being taken by surprise- if you touch her shoulder when she's not expecting it, you would trigger her fight or flight response- and she will punch you in the face out of pure instinct. And she will rarely be the one seeking physical comfort.

I have to say though, I am NOT impartial to Aline softly taking her sister's face between her hands and kissing her on the forehead in Edelgard's darkest moments. Or gently holding both of her hands in hers while their foreheads touch.

Adel meanwhile would be the one most prone to hugging Edelgard, but he makes a big effort not to. They're the two siblings most uneasy about their scars and they both cover up a lot to hide it- a way he would show Edelgard physical affection is by holding her by the arm while they walk around, trusting her with where they're going (since he is blind).

And finally, Siyn. Siyn struggles a lot with bodily autonomy for quite some time, and with the way she sees and treats her own body. But after the war finally comes a time where she can start treating it as something other than just a tool for fighting. This is also at this point that she becomes Edelgard's partner. I have a feeling they would take it very slow, and slowly become more physically comfortable with each other- and while Siyn would absolutely respect El not wanting too many physical displays of affection, I'd love for them to get to a point where they can proudly walk out holding each other's hand for comfort. Maybe even kiss in public. In private, they would take to cuddling more often. No matter the romantic partner El ends up with (if she does end up with someone), they would still have to take it extra slow regarding any form of physical affection.

What's really interesting is that I'm pretty sure that while she would allow Hubert to hug her or something, he probably wouldn't feel the need to. xD Ferdinand would probably be more inclined to hug the both of them out of the blues and while they'd feel uncomfortable, they'd appreciate the gesture. They'd need to set some boundaries, too. I do agree that Edelthea would also do pretty amazing in that particular domain. I have a feeling that early on at the Academy, Dorothea would have understood that Edelgard wasn't comfortable with physical affection, and Edelgard slowly opening up to her would make for some incredibly sweet moments between the two partners. I'd love to see it !!!

Affection: How do they show their love and affection? How intense would it get? 

Gowland is a very soft and affectionate man when it comes to his darling. Of course, the level of how instances his affection is depends on his darling. 

Blood: How messy are they willing to get when it comes to their darling? 

He doesn't mind getting his hands dirty although he really only does it to protect his darling or at least believe he is protecting them. 

Cruelty: How would they treat their darling? 

He can be stern but not really cruel towards them, in fact most of the time he’s actually quite soft with them. 

Delusional: How aware are they? 

He is heavily delusional, but he still has some reality to him. 

Exposed: How much of their heart do they bare to their darling? How vulnerable are they when it comes to their darling? 

He doesn’t hide anything, yet he won’t really share anything out of the blue either. 

Fight: How would they feel if their darling fought back?

It can both confuse and irritate him depending on the situation at hand and for how long it’s been going on. 

Hell: What would be their darling’s worst experience? 

If they did manage to leave it would be when he finally finds them (and he will find them.) he will be a whirlwind of emotions that they will see him go through while chained up. 

Ideals: What is their plan for the future? 

He does want to share a life with them more than anything else in the world.  

 Jealousy: How jealous are they when it comes to their darling? 

When it comes to the other leaders (or anyone with a face.) He gets very jealous but with servants or helpers not too much. 

Knowledgeable: How much would they try to learn about their darling? 

He does learn things from what his darlings tell him or what he has heard from others. 

Love letters: How would they go about courting or approaching their darling? 

He tries to spend as much time with them as possible. He will also tell them how much better his domain is than the others. (He will also sing and play his violin for them.) 

Mask: Are their true colors drastically different from the way they act around everyone else? 

Not really, he just acts the same as he usually does. 

Naughty: How would they punish their darling? 

The only real punishment he’ll give them is isolation other than that he can’t really do himself to harm them physically. 

Oppression: How many rights would they take away from their darling? 

As long as all the rules are followed, they are free to do as they please only in his domain because they won’t really be allowed to go anywhere else. 

Patience: How patient are they with their darling? 

He has a lot more patience for his darling and he does for others. 

Quit: If their darling dies, leaves, or successfully escapes, would they ever be able to move on? 

Truth be told, escaping won’t last too long mainly because there are limited places to go and there’s a good chance, they will just hand them over depending on who his darling is. However, if they were to die, he wouldn’t think too much of it in the beginning. Yes, he would be hurt but he also believes they can easily just come back just like everyone else. However, when he finds out that they can’t he discovers new emotions that he has never felt before. He won’t really know how to deal with them. 

Regret: Would they feel guilty? Would they let go? 

As long as they don’t become afraid of him, he won’t really have any regrets. 

Stigma: What brought about this side of them? 

Given that the world they live in isn’t the greatest nor the safest it was created by the fact that not only does he love them, but he also wants to protect them and show that there is at least one kind of safe place around which is also how he will draw them in. 

Tears: How do they feel about their darling crying, screaming, and/or throwing a tantrum? 

If he was the one who caused their tears, he would feel absolutely terrible about it and try to make it up to them as best as he could but if it was someone else who made them cry, then the person would be in a world of hurt. 

Unique: Does anything make them different from the classic yandere? 

He technically isn’t as hard-core as others, making him pretty easy to handle, but they should still keep in mind that he is not a lightweight by any means. 

Vice: What weakness can their darling exploit in order to escape? 

Technically isn’t that hard to get away from him or to trick him but they’re still trapped in the world meaning that there are limited places where they can go plus there’s also a chance that whoever runs the place where they go will just hand them back over. 

Wit’s end: Would they ever hurt their darling? 

he would never hurt his darling; accidents could still happen and although they may not get hurt by his hands there is still a chance that they may get hurt in some way No matter how hard he may try to protect them. 

Xoanon: How much would they worship their darling? 

He is a lot sweeter than most but other than that there is no extreme worship happening. 

Yearn: How long do they pine after their darling before they snap? 

Because he actually does manage to keep them close to him there are no rules snapping, at least in that kind of situation. 

Zeal: How passionate would they be? Would they be passionate enough to break their darling? 

Given that he isn’t too intense so he wouldn’t break with them.

Time for an update with an AU I totally forgot to talk about here beyond a single photo a new AU! This is a LONG ONE, I have a LOT to talk about here, there's a reason I'm just doing a separate post and linking it to my AU master post later, so buckle up

Glitch Master AU: Basically just a Pokémon AU. BEN's team is comprised of glitch Pokémon, save for one. She is kicked out of the league around the 4th gym (still haven't decided when) due to getting caught cheating with a 7 Pokémon team by hiding their Rotom in their phone until battle. He then dedicates his time to just rescuing other glitch Pokémon. Other notable figures are, of course, Toby, who is mostly just into exploring the region, Tim, who wants to live in the deep wild with his Pokémon and be spoken about in the nearest town among hushed whispers like a cryptid, Brian, a Contest Star, and a friend's OC and 3 OCs of mine that I'll get to in a minute. Have BEN with his team to break up the long ass post a little.

This one actually has some plot to it! BEN essentially teams up with @dr-viles-laboratory 's OC, Morrigan, a Pokémon researcher in this AU (he's an entirely different brand of Fucked Up (affectionate) but he's not my OC to ramble about, I'll leave that to my buddy :3), and they just kinda explore the region together at first, meet new people, etc. They meet up with a set of triplets, August, Dillion, and Anthony. August is a violent and hotheaded bastard (we hate him here :3), Dillion is super shy and an absolute sweetheart, and Anthony is intellectually and physically disabled, but so, so kind and energetic. They become VERY important later.

There's a somewhat loose plot idea, but it follows a lot of themes of unethical experimentation. It starts off with just Pokémon that Don't Seem Right, some glitch Pokémon that BEN, as a glitch Pokémon expert, KNOWS have been suffering. BEN and Morrigan explore a couple of abandoned labs, sometimes with others joining them, sometimes alone. One of the labs, which is explored with the triplets, has a suspicious amount of Yamask and Phantumps CRAWLING through the crumbling halls, and they realize it's faintly familiar to them.

Then it comes out that the TRIPLETS are experiments, they're living as best as they can in hiding, but Dillion and Anthony reveal that they've been spliced with Pokémon, Dillion with a Lillipup and Anthony with a Rockruff. August was the control specimen, but came out of it especially psychologically disturbed compared to his brothers (this is still a Creepypasta AU, after all, we love to see needless angst here for funsies :3). All of these instances of experimentation are connected, different stages in a nebulous plan. I don't have GREAT refs of them all, but I have Something™ (I KNOW Anthony doesn't reflect Rockruff this is his normal design outside of this AU, I only drew Dillion in this AU, and I only have a HELLA outdated August ref, it's what I have ok 👉👈)

August becomes absolutely FURIOUS as the group piece together his and his brothers' pasts, and he storms off impulsively to track down the people responsible.

Y'all ready for it to get REAL fucked up?

He walks right into a trap by the researchers, eager for one of their escaped subjects to return back, and he becomes the test subject in the FINAL stage. First was creating glitch Pokémon in a lab to practice cloning them reliably, then was splicing children and Pokémon together to see if it could be done without killing the subjects. And finally, with August walking right into their trap before the others can catch up to him, they can achieve their final goal: creating a home-grown Legendary Pokémon, easily controlled by the researchers, but with the intelligence and will of a human. A lab grown God in the palm of their hand.

(side note, I have a sketch for the design of the August Legendary Pokémon, but it's pretty body horror and religious horror, so I'll put it under a read more at the end of the post)

What they DIDN'T account for was that August was probably, like, the absolute WORST person to try this with, he's vindictive and violent and selfish as hell, so rather than a benevolent God created to look out for the good of humanity, they have a traumatized, vindictive creature that's sadistic to his core, furious at everything he's been through and it STILL not being over, and way, WAY too powerful to easily defeat. Plus, ya know, the constant pain. That doesn't help.

There's an epic boss fight, of course, his brothers are pulled into the fray to appeal to what little compassion he has left, and essentially, it ends with them all trying to gather whatever is left, the entire group is battered, bruised, they've been through and seen horrible things, August is OBVIOUSLY not the same, but all they can do is pick up the pieces of whatever is left and continue on.

As promised, here is the design I came up with for August post-experimenting. The inspiration came from Arceus, Nina Tucker from FMA, and a bit from the Amalgamates and Photoshop Flowey, both from Undertale. IDK how much or how little of each comes across, but hey. It's subject to change a bit if I come back to this AU in a major way again, I might add even MORE eyes than there already are <3

• but he comes from a good place, and you come to know, learn and love that, because well he loves you, and with jj you just have to infer by his mess of words.

• this boy tries to be as romantic as possible but he’s literally never had a s/o before. the only thing he knows are one nighters so there is a lot that pope and john b advise him on because miscommunication is quite literally the worst. (stated by john b himself)

• for this instance and the sake of the headcanons: you are a member of the pogues, through and through.

• so most of the time you’re together, the pogues are there too. even dates. they love to occupy and jj could shout at the top of his lungs how they are the biggest cock-blockers to ever exist and they would not care. 

• so at that point he doesn’t even try to keep his hands to himself, he will touch you or quite literally make out with you in front of anyone and everyone he can.

• i mean he can get a little protective. (also considering he would never let you around his dad because he wants to protect you and would never let you near anyone that could hurt you) 

• i mean this guy would fight for you till the very end; punches thrown countless of times and harsh words absolutely shouted more times than you could count on your fingers, but no matter how many times you chastise jj, he would never stop to defend your honour because at the end of the night you’re the one playing with his hair and kissing his cuts and bruises.

• especially after everything as well with rafe, topper and the kooks he just wants everyone (including the tourons you see once a millennium) to know that you and him are romantically involved and you are very much taken.

• he even lets the most irrelevant people know the both of you are dating because he loves you that much:

“jj a whole group of kids just asked me about our relationship! i love you, but the whole population does not need to know that we’re together.”

•  even though he could blabber on about everything about you, including what shampoo you use and which perfume of yours is his favourite, affection is more his style: 

• this includes walking around with his hand in your back pocket because wearing anything but jean shorts is really not an option in that heat, (and this does include ass grabbing at every opportunity he can)—

• — his hand gently placed on your thigh while driving / while he’s next to you, interlocking pinkies 98% of the time as you walk together —

• other key, and essential, things that come to mind are that his arm is always around you; after everything that’s happened to him he just needs to physically know you’re there and that’s enough to subdue him.

• one thing he does know is how to flatter you, whether he’s obnoxiously winking at you or bringing you flowers with his tips from work, or he picked them himself, it’s all in the effort.

• any effort from you is like kids getting their favourite toy they’ve been wanting on christmas, for instance: anytime you bring him food, or offer to stay with him at john b’s is like swelling up his heart to the maximum.

• so when he’s not with you, or the pogues, which is rare he is outside. and jj is like diego the explorer he always finds little places just for himself, or for this instance with you.

• so a lot of dates include going to these secluded spots: sometimes it’s a picnic, or a walk, and stargazing is his absolute favourite as he listens to you drone on about the constellations and even just watching the sky with your presence next to him is so comforting and makes him feel safe. 

• of course when the pogues find out they’re brutal with their teasing.

“my wittle babies, growing up so fast.”

• speaking of alone time, jj loves to cuddle when you guys are alone and that’s one thing he’s not fond of being teased about.

• his head is firm on your chest, his arms wrapped around your waist and his leg flung over your hips. to him it’s just a perfect way to start and end the day.

• he also loves to watch movies while cuddling and he has a set of movies and their genres completely memorized for the occasion.

• he has such a good memory to the weirdest things. like he can state in the exact order your makeup routine, or talk about all the caves and sinkholes in yukatan but ask him how many states there are in america and he’s completely bummed.

• back to what i was saying, cuddling and movie times together.

• he’s the little spoon i will not argue with anyone about this, especially if something happened that day.

• like if rafe pissed him off, some kooks stepped on his toes, his dad had been particularly agitated that day or he was just frustrated. your embrace is what keeps his together. he just loves the feeling of your arms around him, essentially protecting him.

• and the pogues always get a kick out of it when they see you too snuggled in the morning. they even take pictures, a lot of pictures of everything and anything they can. 

• their fav times to take pictures is when you both are off guard: like when he’s putting his hat on you, he’s sharing his juul with you, you guys are laying together on the boat or maybe your surfing together in the water.

• he’s surprisingly intimate about everything even though they’re such mundane things for him.

• he expresses his love for you by actions rather than words. for example, he has a guitar (an absolutely beat up one with missing strings and chipped wood, but he says it has more character that way as well as your signature on the back of it)—

• —and just strums it for you absolutely whenever and however your mood is because no matter what its always calming. sometimes he even hums a little tune or starts singing a bit.  

• another few ways he depicts his love for you is by shoving his baseball hat on your head (the one that absolutely nobody is allowed to wear) because he doesn’t want you frying in the sun or dying of heatstroke.

• a lot of his tank tops are now yours because they’re so comfortable and you can wear them literally anywhere.

• he shares, only with you but, he shares. his rings are on your fingers, his bandana is around your neck, his boxers are your sleep shorts, and he absolutely eats that shit up.

• he also gets extremely comfortable with you, like even more than john b in a way. example: you could just be chilling, his arm wrapped around your neck and — boom — he’s shoving your face in his armpit and trying to tickle you.

• it gets to the point where the pogues are so used to it and sometimes even they join in because they even like being included in on your affections but would absolutely rather drown than admit it. they love watching their two best friends love grow for each other, and they're happy jj has found sanctuary to love and be with someone freely. 

• speaking of love, jj is also like a puppy: praise, reassurance and kisses are the way to his heart and staying there.

• i’m gonna say it, jj has self confidence and love issues. they are not detectable at all but with his mother gone and the way his father treated him, there’s shit buried in his heart that it takes awhile for him to open up about.

• once he does: he cries, and he cried a lot. but after that it was like never letting go again. he trusts you with his whole heart and soul and he knows you won’t take advantage of that.

• the way you both accept each other into each others lives is so important to him no matter where you live, who you are and what your family is like everything counts for him and that just makes you the person who you are. 

• dating jj can be complicated and messy and wonderful and passionate and relationships aren’t easy but he would def be worth it <3

Now I say this a lot but in this instance it's the most true: the amount of physical touch received by both Morticia and Gomez can and probably will be very overstimulating and overbearing, at first

Morticia is a very delicate and sensual person when it comes to contact and is the main partner when it comes to comfort and reassurance. Her hands are extremely soft and cold and can provide very good physically stimulation to your sensitive skin

•Showering your face in kisses and like I said; He'll just grab your hand at random then bring it up to kiss it.

•His expression would be so gentle, a soft small smile on his face, gently holding both your hands before giving a soft kiss to your forehead.

•I headcanon Goldie as a little manipulative and sadistic at times, though it's never aimed at you in this instance, he'll just manipulate whoever is around you, whoever he deems as a bad influence that is.

•Protective when he's soft. But that's to you only, if you express your concerns on whoever is bothering you to Goldie, he'll make sure to take care of them.

"How unfortunate… Don't worry about it honey, you can always lean on me no matter what."

•Goldie knows his obsession can be too much, so he won't restrict you in any way when you come to visit "You want to leave? Please come back as soon as you can sweetheart." "That is your new friend? How sweet."

•Don't get me wrong, it still irks Goldie when your attention and affection isn't on him but he'll know better than to make you feel scared of him.

•He's blunt about strong emotions, such as his love for you... And jealousy "Sweetie… Can we spend more time together tonight?" "Hmm? Why?" "I feel a little jealous right now…"

•Although he tries being cute about it, he'll glare at the person whenever he can, which is every second possible when he's not with you.

•Whenever you're close Goldie spends his time with you, he won't care who's around and will still do any affectionate gesture he can -A subtle way to tell them who you're with-

•When you're away he'll either spend his time thinking about you or spying on whoever you're acquainted with, to either learn more about you or make sure they're not in his way.

Okay, I think I found what I really wanted to root out with Wen Kexing and Zhou Zishu and the physicality of their book relationship.

Because I will argue for days that Wen Kexing is terribly touch-starved, especially at the beginning of the book. For eight years, as the Valley Master, he’s only allowed Gu Xiang within a meter of him. They have a fairly casual relationship, but they straddle an awkward line between family and master/servant, and as the Ghost Valley Master? Everyone in Ghost Valley, including Gu Xiang, is at least a little frightened of him. He’s affection-starved as much as he is touch-starved, and having one person who cares more than she’s frightened isn’t really enough to overcome that degree of isolation. When a servant woman is combing his hair and accidentally hits a snag, she begs for her life, and his first reaction is to ask if someone forced her to wait on him. He’s been the Valley Master since he was a very young adult, and he’s been in Ghost Valley since he was a child.

And it’s so interesting to me that a lot of cnovels really emphasize that when the leads are in a relationship, it’s their first relationship, and they never wanted anyone else, but Wen Kexing (and jing beiyuan in lord seventh, which is an interesting parallel) really directly subvert that. Gu Xiang almost immediately remarks that Wen Kexing spends plenty of nights with male courtesans, and partway through the book, Wen Kexing uses a handkerchief from a famous courtesan to treat Zhou Zishu’s injury. He left the valley and entered the human world, and immediately threw himself into the arms of other men.

And Zhou Zishu, I would say, is also touch starved and affection starved, but is coping differently from Wen Kexing. No matter how strained and/or political his relationships with the Emperor and the government are, and even though he took charge of the Four Seasons Manor at... fifteen, iirc, he did have at least one close, affectionate (for a zhou zishu value of affectionate), trusting relationship, with Liang Jiuxiao. And where Wen Kexing starts the book with a comfortable relationship with Gu Xiang, Zhou Zishu starts the book knowing that his shidi is dead, and in Lord Seventh, we see the ways that he failed and/or “failed” Liang Jiuxiao, with Jiang Xue, and with staying at his post during the final battle instead of rushing off and trying to find his shidi, and it working out... not well. And I think it’s fascinating that unlike Wen Kexing, when he leaves Tian Chuang to reenter the human world, he’s content to be almost completely solitary, and focuses his attention on seeing the sights and drinking good wine.

A really interesting parallel to me is in the Ye Baiyi extra, where he mentions that it’s only human nature to crave food and sex, and he’s too old to care about sex, so food it is. Because that’s not a thought he ever shares with the other characters, but it’s very interesting to me that in the novel, in that first burst of enjoying their freedom, Wen Kexing is so focused on physical intimacy, first with courtesans, and then with Zhou Zishu, while Zhou Zishu is much more focused on physical pleasure must less dependent on other humans, like sightseeing and wine.

But once Wen Kexing and Zhou Zishu are in action together, and once Wen Kexing definitively gets invested in Zhou Zishu, the physical progression of the relationship is really interesting to me. Wen Kexing gets very handsy and very forward, very quickly. Zhou Zishu tends to either endure or push him away, depending on the situation, but compared to something like, say, svsss, there’s much less ‘but i’m not gay though’ and much more generalized irritation until he (much more slowly) gets invested in return. 

And I probably would have brushed it away except for that one scene where they were about to do it, and get interrupted by the Scorpion King. First, this line, which makes it absolutely clear that as much as Zhou Zishu had given up on living a long, normal human life, Wen Kexing was in exactly the same position. Now, seeing Zhou Zishu potentially get a new lease on life, he’s forced to reckon with the idea that it might be possible for him to live on in the same way, which casts a whole new light on how casually he slept around with courtesans and propositioned Zhou Zishu earlier in the story, versus where he stands now.

They were both lone wolves who had been caught in hunters’ traps, struggling with all of their strength to free themselves to no avail, and thus, were willing to gnaw their own legs off without mercy.

[Wen Kexing] hadn’t been able to help following him, from watching him. Then a revelation had dawned— He’d realized, for the first time, that if Zhou Zishu could live like this, was it also a possible for him to live like this?

And then when Wen Kexing starts to catch a fresh round of feelings, Zhou Zishu’s response says volumes about his prior reactions whenever Wen Kexing got forward with him.

“A-Xu, sleep with me once. This way, we’ll keep each other in our hearts. You won’t die so easily then, and neither will I. What do you think?”

He said it jokingly, yet Zhou Zishu did not reply, only looked at him oddly. A while later, he finally asked, “Are you truly sincere about this?”

Wen Kexing laughed, his body tilting towards Zhou Zishu. He spoke, nearly against Zhou Zishu’s lips, “Can’t you tell if I’m sincere or not?”

Stunned, Zhou Zishu paused, then said in a low voice, “I… truly can’t tell. I haven’t experienced many instances of sincerity over the course of my life, and can’t identify it. Are you?”

Wen Kexing's fingers drifted up his shoulder, and tugged his hair loose. Dark hair cascaded down, making the tough man before his eyes look a few degrees more fragile in an instant. He dropped his cheeky grin, and in a soft voice, filled with momentous certainty, said, "I am."

Wen Kexing is most starved for touch, while Zhou Zishu is most starved for sincerity. Zhou Zishu was up to his neck in court politics in Lord Seventh, where a major focus of the story is about how sure, the Crown Prince may be deeply in love, but he’s the future Emperor, and ultimately, his feelings land way down the priority list. Up until this point in the story, with Wen Kexing waxing eloquent about how pretty Zhou Zishu must be, and calling it ‘mariticide’ when Zhou Zishu hits him, and being like ‘no no let’s hear the man out’ when the Scorpion King wants them to put on a sexy show for him, Zhou Zishu hasn’t been able to tell whether  Wen Kexing means it. 

I love me a story where the leads are terrible communicators and it causes them much Suffering, but this is a really tasty variant that I don’t feel like I see that often. Their hungers are so similar, but just disjoint enough that they can’t understand each other’s reservations. For a soulmates story like this, it’s just the right kind of tension to make the relationship work extra well for me. They’re in sync about this, as they are about so many things, with just enough of an offset that they’re both left ever so slightly uncertain, and it isn’t until they trust each other enough to ask a question as plain as ‘are you truly sincere about this?’ that they’re finally able to close the gap and reach that understanding with each other.

The whole “it’s brotherly love” “it’s platonic” argument that’s used to dismiss JJpope as a ship is flawed. And can easily be debunked by comparing JJ and Pope’s dynamic with the other Pogues outside of each other. For instance, JJ literally goes out of his way to be in close contact with Pope no matter what. Whether that be him sitting next to him, standing next to him, being faced to face, affectionate, etc. Now I know the argument can be made that JJ’s love language is physical touch and that of course he’d want to be close to people he considered his family; I mean he’s also close with John B. However, in any instance involving physical touch between JJ and Pope, JJ always leans more into Pope’s touch. And even lingers a bit.

For instance, when John B and Pope are BOTH praising JJ for planting the false key. We see John B AND Pope in close contact. However, the difference is that JJ and Pope are practically joined by the shoulder and are at some point JJ is holding Pope’s hand but he isn’t holding John B’s hand.

When he does the handshake with Pope during the bonfire scene in season 2, we see that they prolong the handshake. To the point where they’re just holding hands. And as they’re doing the handshake the two of them make direct eye contact with each other the entire time. Not once breaking eye contact. Whereas when JJ does the handshake with another person from the group, ie: Kiara the handshake is normal. Very quick, kinda swift and the entire time the both of them are more focused on the actual handshake then making eye contact with each other.

Throughout season 1 and a little bit of season 2 we see moments where Pope is either distressed or anxious. And in those scenes we usually see that JJ is the main one who calms him down or makes him less anxious through physical touch. In Season 1 Episode 4, when Pope hugs JJ and tells him that he’s going to turn himself in; almost as soon as JJ places his hands on Pope, he becomes less tense. And again, when Pope is worried about his future after walking out on his interview, JJ puts both of his hands on Pope’s shoulder. He relaxes a bit, although he’s still obviously worried, he’s able to calm down. It can also be noted that JJ talks to Pope in a soft tone and that when Kiara speaks to him, he raises his tone just a little bit. Which I think shows how different the dynamic is between JJ and Kiara in comparison to him and Pope. In season 2, this is somewhat reversed because we see Pope trying to approach/get JJ’s attention by speaking in a softer tone to him out of everyone else in the group.

Unlike the rest of the pogues, we see JJ constantly making intense eye contact with Pope, staring at his lips. In addition, making sexual innuendos and asking Kiara how Pope is in bed. I know a lot of people don’t count the last scene as a JJPope scene since it was improvised. But the scene where JJ makes a sexual innuendo, along with the other scene at the cemetery where Pope’s pants get ripped off and JJ’s like “Nice dude, it's like a small tootsie roll” most definitely count. Once again, comparing JJ’s relationship with John B (which is more of a bromance) to his relationship Pope. These are not the type of interactions you’d have with your brother and if so, that isn’t normal.

Side note: Aside from that one girl that JJ made out with in season 1 episode 1, Pope is the only other person that JJ’s canonically kissed throughout the show so far. Pope’s also the only person that JJ has said “I Love You” to as well (ignore the last sentence, I’m probably wrong).

Notice how in this scene, as Pope presses his face into JJ’s neck that JJ leans towards Pope’s touch. Allowing them to get even closer. Someone on OBX twitter also pointed out that Pope has both his arms around JJ in this scene. There’s nothing platonic or ‘brotherly’ about this scene.

[ @yourlocalsinnamonroll​ (hi!) sent me an ask to do more gen z headcanons and i started working on something for her, except it isn’t actually a set of headcanons, but rather a really long...one-shot? but anyway, i thought of actual headcanons that i can share now, so i can return to my ROOTS hopefully this will do in the meantime. ]

i’m not sure if this is something unique to younger people, but i am one hundred percent sure that younger people do it a lot, just going off of the behavior of my friends and i. (i’m gonna tell you now that this isn’t entirely sfw, so minors dni please and thank u)

but i’ve found that it’s pretty common for friends to be, like, aggressively affectionate with one another, for lack of a better phrase. if not aggressively affectionate, then just really flirtatious, often for no reason, and it is still meant entirely in a platonic sense. some examples of this that i have experienced include, but are not limited to:

“i’m gonna eat you,” “do u wanna make out,” “just remember, no matter WHAT happens, i will ALWAYS wanna make out with you,”  “i have literally wanted to fuck all of you at some point,” “let’s have sex,” “stfu before i kiss you,” [points to lap] “is this seat taken?” “every day i’m like, ‘wow, [name] is so cool, we should make out,’” and so on and so forth.

so you can imagine the fun i’m about to have.

“blindsided,” does not even begin to describe what you’ve done to this man. while his recovery time was quick, he was still so, so confused. 

all he said was, “you look nice today,” why did you threaten to kiss him? was that even a threat? 

he doesn’t know because you said, “stop before you get kissed on the mouth,” but it doesn’t matter because you failed to consider that he is obsessed with you in dire need of a kiss on the mouth, and you, silly thing that you are, just provided conditions under which he can get one. 

that said, have fun trying to explain to this man that you were joking while he’s holding you against him with the most smug look on his dumb little face. if you don’t wanna kiss him, okay, but by the time he feels like letting you go, your face is gonna be scorching and you will have properly learned not to do that again. unless you enjoyed yourself, in which case—

by the way, if you believe in a higher power, you had better pray he doesn’t do this to you because now that you’ve planted the idea in his villainous little brain, he’s just biding his time. so the next time you compliment him innocently, and he says, “be quiet before i kiss you,” like the monster he is, assert your dominance by kissing him first, it’s the only way to maintain your dignity.

why would you do that to him. he is literally in love with you, you can’t be doing this. he knows he’s an attractive person, but you can’t tell him that, and you especially can’t do it by flirting with him, it’s embarrassingly disarming. especially since he was going to make fun of you once he saw that you were looking at the issue of majolish with him on the cover. he had a plan and everything, and you ruined it. he was gonna say something dumb cool, after which you would be embarrassed , and he would laugh. 

but then you looked at him, said, “i’m gonna eat you,” and his entire plan was thwarted. now you have to stand there and watch him struggle to form a sentence while his face gets red. you should take this opportunity to bite him, give him a little nom on the shoulder or something, just to razz him. it’ll be great, i promise. 

luckily, he can’t even think about doing this to you without having to lie down, so you should be safe—unless, of course, he catches both you and himself by surprise. so if you get nommed on, you had it coming. 

levi 

you menace. you absolute villain. you’re laughing. 

levi was about to go into a match he was nervous about, and then you said, “it’s okay, no matter what happens, i will always wanna make out with you,” and then he dropped his controller and blacked out, and you’re laughing. 

you’re terrible. absolutely awful. acquaint yourself with shame while you blow cool air into his face and shake him awake. 

when he does wake up, and he reminds you that he’s the avatar of envy, do nawt be surprised. 

try to explain to him that you were kidding and let it slip that you say these types of things to everyone and you’re getting a tail around your waist. no matter how much he might stutter while he makes his point, the fact remains that he’s the only one you’re allowed to say these things to now. you can do it to the others while he’s not around if you feel so inclined, but he’s going to find out eventually, so good luck explaining yourself while he doesn’t keep his tail still when he uses it to hold you in place. 

your only saving grace here is that he is physically incapable of doing it to you, but, you know. that probably gets overridden by how possessive he’s gonna get.

you’re deranged. or just really confident. or a fool. it doesn’t matter, you fucked up. he said a normal thing, and then you threw him for a loop. 

you were nervous about an exam the next day, he said, “you’re a capable person, you have nothing to be worried about.” 

and then you, evidently forgetting that he is not one of your human friends, said, “flattery will get you made out with,” and tried to walk away. 

first of all, how was that flattery? he was stating a fact. second of all, who said he didn’t wanna make out with you🤨. he never said that, you are making assumptions about him and his character. 

anyway, he has no idea where you think you’re going, but you didn’t make it very far before he caught up to you anyway. 

when he repeats what you said back to you in the form of a question, with that deceptively polite look on his face, know that he is being rhetorical. do not bother trying to explain yourself, it’ll be difficult to do so in a convincing manner while he’s backing you up to the nearest wall. do not be surprised when he takes this opportunity to blindside you with praise, directly into your ear, with that fatally smooth voice of his. and do NAWT be surprised when he pulls back and says, “why am i not being made out with?” with a dumb little smile. it brings him a lot of joy to see you squirm.

you don’t even have a saving grace here. this man is ruthless, he’s gonna do this to you literally whenever he wants, and he won’t even let you look away, let alone run away, so find joy in the monster you have created. 

asmo

listen. unless you are genuinely empty headed, there is absolutely no way you did this on accident. 

he wasn’t even doing anything out of character either, it was the middle of self-care night, he was putting moisturizer on your face for you, and he went, “you’re even cuter up close,” which is a normal, tame thing for him to say.

so unless you just have uncontrollable knee-jerk reactions, no way did you say, “so make out with me then,” to this man, by accident.

you’re lucky he has some knowledge of the fact that you sometimes say things that aren’t smart, so he didn’t just immediately jump on you; however, you are by no means in the Clear. 

you blinked and he was nose to nose with you and basically in your lap. now you have to deal with his wandering hands while you try and explain yourself—that is, if you can even overcome how flustered you are, which you probably can’t. luckily, he knows you probably didn’t mean it, but he’s still asmo, so he takes it upon himself to be respectfully heinous like the gentleman he is.

so when he somehow manages to get even closer to you and says, “honey, you should really get a handle on those impulses of yours, unless you plan on following through,” like the bastard he is, know that from that point forward, whatever happens is on you. 

here is another man with whom you have no saving grace; now that you’ve given him the idea that he can be more explicit with you,,, well.

beel

you’re a heathen. why would you do something like this. well, you know what, maybe you aren’t that much of a heathen, considering that you did bake cookies for him. that was really sweet of you, so he thanked you and complimented your skill, like a regular person.

so why, exactly, did you say, “i only accept thanks in the form of kisses, preferably with tongue,” ? something is genuinely not right with you. 

now you have this man standing there, confused and red in the face. he’s trying to do the math, and nothing is adding up. like, it’s definitely doable, he can definitely do that, but, like, why would you make this request so suddenly?

this is probably the only instance in which you can coherently say, “i was kidding, you don’t actually have to do that,” and it almost doesn’t work. 

you absolutely should not have been leaning against the counter because now he’s standing in front of you, and you have nowhere to run. 

however, the thing about beel is that he is someone who flusters people without meaning to, so he has no idea of the effect that his, “are you sure?” has on you. 

luckily, you’re still mostly coherent because you know that beel isn’t heinous like his brothers, so you manage to tell him that he doesn’t have to kiss you if he doesn’t want to because you were kidding. 

you have every right to be surprised when, all of a sudden, you’re sitting on the counter, and he says, “why do you think i don’t want to?” 

do you have a saving grace with this man? kind of. he would never say what you said or something similar, but the next time he compliments you and you choose to be normal and say, “thank you,” he’s gonna ask if he should kiss you, so try not to collapse.

now. he isn’t the Worst Person you could’ve done this with. but by god you are out of your mind.

your first mistake was choosing to lie down next to him, not because you had plans to be a menace, but because he is always a menace and has a thing for reminding you, which he can do more easily when you’re in proximity to him. 

so when he said, out of nowhere, “are you ticklish?” you should’ve just rolled away, which wouldn’t have worked, but it would have been less chaotic then saying, “you are legally required to make out with me before you try and find out.” 

you said it so casually that he was almost stunned into staying still, but his recovery time was excellent.

the next thing you knew, you were laying underneath a very smug, very menacing man, who seemed entirely too prepared to listen to what you had to say for once. 

“legally?”

okay, so, maybe you should’ve chosen your words more carefully, but he was seconds away from tickling you, so you didn’t exactly have time to defend yourself. you can never backtrack with belphie anyway, so it makes sense that you went headlong into your claim, telling him that yes, this is, in fact, the law of the land. 

“i was never one to pay attention to the law, but since you’re being so insistent, i guess i don’t really have a choice—”

leave it to him to pretend like you’re a burden as if he isn’t literally head over heels in love with you like everyone else fond of you. bastard. 

there is absolutely nothing to save you from this man. he isn’t tactful enough to wait for an opportunity to do this to you, like satan or lucifer, so expect to be Just Sitting There when he tells you that you’re required to make out with him right this instant—it’s the law.

Leviathan 

At first this was something that made him super uncomfortable.

He just isn't used to this kind of attention. 

Levi became a blushing and stuttering mess for quite a while. 

Over time he gets used to all the affection and attention from you and starts to enjoy it a lot. 

Then suddenly you stop without warning. 

Levi genuinely thinks that he has done something that upsets you. 

There are so many instances that come to his mind that it's not even funny. 

Levi feels like he definitely has to make it up to you. 

He invites you over and goes all out for you. 

You think you've stepped into a different dimension.

Levi isn't himself at all.

The situation is so strange that you confront Levi. 

He basically breaks down and apologizes for whatever he can think of. 

You are confused but after a bit you understand what made him think this way. 

Aka the lack of hugs and kisses. 

You find this pretty sweet, since you only stopped to do the hugs and kisses since it seemed to make Levi uncomfortable. 

You both have a good laugh and you go back to randomly kissing and hugging him.

Levi is still pretty flustered about it but he would never ever want you to stop. 

  Mammon 

He always said how much he hates to be hugged or kissed like this. 

Of course he doesn't, in fact he loves every bit of attention that he can get from you. 

You might think that he hates it, despite his reaction being very obvious. 

You just don't want to make Mammon uncomfortable so you stop doing it 

Mammon feels very lonely soon enough. 

He craves your attention but he is also extremely terrible at asking for it. 

Mammon gets pretty depressed, to the point where you notice it. 

You try to cheer him up, which helps, but Mammon is still not really able to voice his needs. 

At least until you hug him, to comfort Mammon, you notice that he perks up, despite his words. 

You figure that he might just be touch starved but his cool persona doesn't let him admit it. 

It's close enough to the truth, even when it's just your touch he wants 

So you just go back to randomly kissing and hugging Mammon.

  Asmodeus

He is living to get your hugs and kisses. 

He isn't shy about it either and always does the same to you. 

It does bother him if you are like that to everyone else as well, but doesn't stop you. 

What is really surprising to Asmo is when you suddenly stop doing it. 

He wonders what's up and wants you to go back to getting your hugs and kisses. 

Asmo will soon invite you to his room to talk about this in private. 

He is a bit worried if something happened to you to cause this change. 

You admit that someone told you it's annoying to be hugged randomly like this. 

You thought about it and then figured it would be better to stop if it's annoying. 

Asmo is relieved that it was nothing serious. 

He tells you to keep hugging and kissing him all you want.

  Belphegor 

He always complains about random 'attacks', but always with a smile on his face. 

What really bothers him, and what he actually complains about, is the fact that he isn't the only person you hug and kiss. 

Belphie is pretty bothered by it. 

He of course doesn't reveal his true reason and at some point you just believe that Belphie just hates hugs/kisses. 

So you stop doing it. 

Belphie, of course, notices the lag of physical attention right away. 

He sulks about it. 

You can see that Belphie is pretty moody and tries to cheer him up. 

Belphie knows that he is being childish and quietly admits that he misses the hugs and kisses. 

You give him a big hug right away. 

This makes Belphie feel much better right away.
