YAGO!!!! GAHFRHRHAHARHAHRHRF IM BACK (Design Detail Anon back << i dont know what to call myself LOL) I HAVE MORE WORDS
WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON BIOLUMINESCENT TRITONS?!!!?! Obviously Gillion's eyes and coral already glow cause of his funky scrungly squelchy magic BUT what if... he had little glowing freckles... scales? im not fully sure how fish people work.
Your designs for Gillion and Edyn already do an amazing job of separating their underwater biology from humans like Chip and Jay (thinking of the glossy skin, the tails, and the yellow sclera/slitted eyes)- like it's very easy to tell by looking at them that while they are People they are very much FISH People. Which of course sounds pretty obvious but I mention it because a lot of triton art I see usually just looks like a blue person with gills and fins, if that makes sense.
But to expand on my original question- both Gill and Edyn are from the trench, and, in my logic, adjacent at the very least, to other deep sea creatures like anglar fish and some squids. They already have darkvision but the image of them having little hidden patterns when they get super deep in the ocean is... so cute...
im realizing after Ive written all of this that it kinda stopped being a question and started being a ramble so I do apologize :']
(on another note I love your caspian redesign it does a really sweet job of incorporating literal elements of water into his features *smooches him* **respectfully***)
OMG!!!! i love all your thoughts this is so cool thank you for sharing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (and thank you!! i tried very hard to make caspian look like a water spirit and not an ocean creature and still make him interesting visually...)
you know, now that you've said that the trench is deep under water im realizing that it's something i didn't actually think about. like, i remember hearing Gill say that he's from the trench, but it never actually registered in my brain that trench = deep and dark. everything makes so much sense now oh my god.... finn saying "why did they keep this from us" about the sun, because the sun simply doesn't reach to where they live...
i dont know why i imagined the capital as this bright white sunny coral reef when it should be dark and mysterious and harsh with no sunlight. bruh. it makes so much seeeense. and all the talk about strict rules for safety and foodchain and danger, because they're literally so deep there's a lot of giant spooky creatures.... hold on im having a worldview change.... oh god....
considering all this... YES bioluminescent tritons!!!!!!!!!!!! i imagine they don't glow too much, since while tritons are pretty smart they don't have a lot of natural protection from predators and attracting attention would be suboptimal. but they do have glowing parts for um... reasons. idk, they're magical creatures in a magical world.
i imagine their stripes and eyes and hair and underbellies all emit a glow in low lighting, and in complete darkness only the stripes are visible. and every triton has a unique stripe pattern or color so they're all different like that.
idk how it actually works. like, if they glow in any darkness or only in the darkness under water (although it wouldn't make a difference since they're always wet) or only when they're very deep or if they can choose when to glow or when to not, but its still a very cool detail!!!!!!!!!!! glowy fishy people yayyy
#yagotalk#my art#sketch#oh boy do i tag this.... its a long text post......#aah yeah fuck it we ball#gillion tidestrider#edyn tidestrider#jrwi riptide

OK, I'm moving soon, and I'm currently sitting in the middle of my ravaged flat surrounded by boxes, jars, and all sorts of things you never know you even had before it's time to go pack them up.
So here's a bunch of soapghost headcanons about moving in together.
• They end up helping each other to pack things. The flat they chose is a two-bed in Epping, really close to the forest. Easy to get to when they come back for a break, technically still in London, but in a quieter area on the outskirts of the city. Ghost checked for a multitude of things, including ways to get in and to retreat, hidden cameras, and he's making a custom surveillance system for it. You can never be too safe, right?
• The second bedroom is going to become Johnny's art studio. Ghost has dibs on the living room, he's got a huge TV and a PS5. And his humongous bookshelf will also go in there. They plan it out perfectly, so that they can spend time together, but also can have their alone time without bothering each other.
• Ghost refuses help at first, but then Johny just shows up with his portable speaker, and hangs out with him. It's a little distracting, and he has way too many books, they run out of boxes. Ghost never tells him, but he's grateful, it was getting overwhelming.
• Ghost's place looks neat, if not a little barren, his things are all sorted to perfection. He's got a collection of shotguns, too. And a huge table, perfect size to work on them comfortably. Cleaning and servicing guns never fails to calm him down. His favourite is an older one, a Benelli M2. It's in pristine condition albeit a little worn, its barrel needs to be changed because it can only last through so much shots, but Ghost kinda wants to keep it as it is, even though it's not practical. He's sentimental about it. They spend a lot of time packing them all up carefully.
• Johny actually asks him to come over, because his adhd gets unmanageable when he goes through all his things, and it's easier if a very specific person makes him stay on track, otherwise he'd be still stuck there reading his diaries and going through his pile of sketchbooks, and oh, the drawing supplies, he has the urge to use that beautiful box of designer gouache his sister gifted to him literally right now because he forgot about it, and now it's so tempting. Ghost thinks of it as of a mission, so he comes up with a strategy and keeps it tactical. And he makes Soap take breaks every once in a while.
• Soap's stuff doesn't fit into the van. Even with the furniture dismantled and packed, he's got so much things, a lot of them art supplies, a huge easel, half-finished paintings, canvases he forgot about or he hadn't had time to come back to. And his bed is freaking huge. They finally cram it in, but it's a really tight squeeze. Comparing to this, Ghost's was half-empty. Thank god their new place is on the bigger side.
• Ghost gets distracted, too, when they pack the paintings. He's not an artsy kinda guy, yet they are so good, he's entranced. It's Johnny's turn to make him focus. Soap doesn't think much of his art, and Ghost makes a mental note to compliment it more often. He really wants to see more. Hell, he'd even pose, if Soap ever asks for it. He won't tell him though.
• There's a "do not touch" black sketchbook with a little white scull drawn on the cover, and Soap flushes deep red and packs it away in record times. Ghost is intrigued beyond measure. He has assumptions of what's in there, and he sneakily checks it out when Soap goes to pack his clothes. It's full of sketches of him. Soap actually took his time to study him, he thinks, even the tattoos are all looking exactly right. The ones from the shower make him wonder if Soap actually memorised him that well or he got some sneaky reference pics (how did he manage that, the bastard). It's got notes, too. It takes an effort not to read them, but Ghost feels like he already intruded a bit too much, so he puts the sketchbook back where it was. Just in time, because Soap pops out with an absolutely ridiculous coat in his hands, and goes "hey, look what I used to wear when I was 18!"
• Ghost has a freaking lot of random jars. They're all empty. When asked about it, he confesses that he wanted to make jam, his grandfather used to make a lot of it every summer. It's one of the good memories he has, and there's not so many of them. He tried to make it once, but failed, and had to throw away the whole batch. They keep each and every one, although it seems stupid.
• Johnny's art stuff is a whole lot. He's got tree branches and clay, and a fucking mannequin (it scares Ghost every time he walks in Soap's living room, because his side vision registers it as a person, and he can't get over it). The mannequin has a crooked smiley face drawn on it with a sharpie. There's sheets of metal, fabric, a lot of acrylic, and a ton of instruments. He was trying to get into modern sculpture, Soap says, it didn't really work out. Needs more 3d thinking. Ghosts proposes to try again after they move. He's good at fixing stuff, and he's really good at guerilla warfare, they'll find a way to make even the weirdest thing Soap comes up with hold together.
• Soap's got little led garlands wrapped on every vertical thing at his place. At first Ghost thinks it's stupid, but when the night comes, and Soap lights all of them up, it actually feels almost magical. They sit on the floor with mugs of tea and coffee, and, although it's messy and everything is moved out of place, it's still beatiful, and it feels so safe. Ghost finds himself feeling more like a 5 y o than he probably ever did, sitting there just watching lights slowly light up and fade. He's never been good at making his places cozy. He'll ask Soap to work on their new flat to make it more like that. He really wants the lights there, too.
• Johnny's mugs are all different. He's got the "guns and coffee" with a redrawn Starbucks logo, the mermaid holds two pistols. Ghost gets the "under all your tattoos you're still a mainstream cunt" one when it's Johnny's turn to make tea. He pretends to be offended. There is a pink one with "unt" on it. It makes sense when Soap turns it, and the handle finishes the word. There's one with lots of bees, and it reads "bear daddy". Ghost makes the stupidest jokes about it.
• Ghost hasn't got a lot of kitchenware, and all his plates and mugs are white, the cheapest ones from IKEA. And he's only got one chair. No guests - no need. Johnny finds it a little depressing, but says nothing.
• Johnny's spicerack is probably the second biggest collection he has after his art stuff. He likes cooking, and he likes trying new recipes. His favourite go-tos sit separately on the kitchen counter. Ghost has to admit that he's really good. Ghost's spices are just salt and pepper, which gets him "and you live like that? Lt!" from Soap.
• When they finally move their stuff in, a call from Price comes. There's things to do like right now, get ready in 5, be at base in an hour and a half. Ghost likes his work, yet he can't help but get a little grumpy. He really wanted to get it over with. And to see what comes out of it with all things in place. And to have a chill evening with Johnny, watching these little lights again with some quiet ambient playing on the background. "It's OK," Soap says, "we'll get it sorted when we come back."
OK, that's gonna be it for now, I have a sad option and a silly option to go for, but I'd rather make a part two and separate them.

It's time again to look at Thunder Junction's cards and try and divine where each and every one of these bad boys are from.
Also just a note in case people are curious; since Tumblr has a 30 image limit per post, I'll be doing all of The Big Score at the end, after all the colours and stuff. It's my prerogative and I'll do as I please. If you missed the first part, you can find it here! So without further ado, it is time for...
BLUE
While I don't think EVERY mount is from Thunder Junction Proper... newts ARE a creature that shows up in the west. I was initially thinking this could be for Eldraine, especially given it belongs to an archmage, but... ultimately, I think this is a native to the plane.
Another native, and dare I say this is a CHARISMATIC crab. I love the crystals on its back! I also love the blue cacti nearby it? Those are real by the way!
There aren't many turtle-men in Magic. Three, in fact, before this one; the Lagoon Sage, a Quandrix student, and a Kappa from Kamigawa. The Kappa has a VERY distinct look, the Quandrix is a sea turtle, and the Lagoon Sage is a snapper just like the Thunder-Thief over here... and I'm gonna make a called shot and say this is from Bloomburrow as a result!
Homarid are a Dominaria specialty, so this racist bastard is absolutely from there.
Djinn of this type are only found on Tarkir, so this one is easy. He's taken a break from his dragon-infested plane to relax under a waterfall martial artist style, and that's just kinda fun.
This is a tricky one, since the ability is pretty plane agnostic, and the design doesn't evoke much in it... but her collar DOES have the typical three-fang Dimir tell, and it'd fit both colour and what she's doing, so lets go with Ravnica.
Sadly a cursory Wiki glance tells me only that this guy is from America.
... okay okay, taking this seriously; the wings and the scroll and the steps, the name, all the flavour suggests this is from Amonkhet for me. It could be from elsewhere, but this feels the most "correct" for lack of a better term. I wish cards like this would get flavor text reprints down the line though...
These are some home-grown ghosts, and we know from various other stories (Gideon, Elspeth, etc) that when you die you go to the afterlife of the plane you're on... so these are some newly "born" natives.
These unfortunate individuals are from the dead plane of Oregon.
... what? I already used that joke? Okay fine. There really isn't any actual signifiers here, and the only humanoid in the art is too indistinct to tell. Given the content of the card is trying and failing to ford one of Thunder Junction's mighty rivers, I'm calling this card "native to the plane" for lack of anything else appropriate.
Oh hey it's everyone's favorite running gag from Ravnica. Fblthp is an easy one, so instead of elaborating more on our mono-eyed friend instead I'll bring up a question I want any of you reading this to answer.
Didn't they say during the initial preview teasers that there was an important plot event happening in the background of this card? That never bore fruit and I can't remember the exact preview stream I heard it, but I swear I did. I want someone to confirm this for me. I'm abusing my power.
Regrettably, the flavor text makes this spell be sourced from Oko's Home Plane. I do love this weird tumbleweed creature though!
God I hate Oko he's such a scum bag (derogatory).
A personal favorite character of mine, Geralf is an Innistradi born and raised, here to investigate the Thunder of the plane- as well as test how mana bonds work for planebound folk now that they have access to planar travel. Good luck, sir.
An obvious native of the plane. I quite like the flavor of this card as well by the way, it's just a clever way to incorporate the geysers you would occasionally see in the old west.
Another Thunder Junction native! It's wild how many of these there actually are, but wild animals do make up a bulk of cards in Magic so it's not THAT unreasonable.
Fun lore tidbit; allegedly the Thunder only started after the Omenpaths opened up. No one has lived here before that so no one can confirm that is true, and this flavor text suggests otherwise.
One of the only cards showcasing the least important members of Oko's gang of ruffians! Kaervek and Satoru busting out of jail thanks to the help of Annie Flash. The framing of the card makes it feel more like Kaervek's doing the real world (valid, Satoru is a loser this entire story) so I'm gonna call it for Zhalfir here- and yes even though technically everyone from Zhalfir is from Dominaria, it's a plane all its own now. I make the rules here!
The Fomorian made star-key to open up their vault on Thunder Junction, I feel like it is safe to say this was made here. It's got little arcs of Thunder and even looks like a deputy star, so it fits the vibe.
Fun fact; being a six pointed star, plus the fact that in the story they mentioned the sixth slot started glowing purple, I briefly had the idea that they might be implying the Fomorian's know of Purple magic and we'll get it in the big Space set we're getting down the line. Then I remembered Cosmium is purple and a major energy source for the Fomorion people, so nevermind.
I can't confidently say this is from Bloomburrow, given we don't know how big the people of that plane can get- so far they've maxed out at Badger and Fox- but I really don't know where this guy could be from otherwise! Maybe Ravnica? So lets call this Bloomburrow until corrected otherwise.
Incidentally this is one of my favorite pieces of art in the set. Love this fucking guy.
Beyond all the art signifiers, I believe it was straight up said on twitter this is a Therosian Sphinx, so she's from Theros. Good for her. Why is she wearing spurs...?
I'm fairly confident this is meant to depict Stella Lee, and she's from the Atiin people, so that's where this is from! Rundo meanwhile sounds like a Ravnica, but that's just some trivia.
This one I'm not fully sure on. The little bird like flecks of white in his magic, the watery energy... I feel like I've seen it somewhere before, but I can't quite place it. The red and blue suggests Izzet but then he's a Slickshot, the red-blue faction on Thunder Junction. I'm gonna go with my gut and say Ravnica, though.
Shit like this is why I wish we'd gotten a planeswalker guide...
Blue, so far, has some of the most easy and obvious ones to place, and for this I'm thankfully. This guy is a Stitcher, so he's from Innistrad. Easy as.
She's got some of the Sterling Company aesthetic going on, but I'm a stickler for stupid jokes so I'm gonna say she's from Zendikar. The armor could evoke Sea Gate, and they've always been good with ropes so why NOT translate that to combat?
Like with the earlier ghosts, dead-then-revived means you're native to Thunder Junction... but also this guy is clearly an Obscura from New Capenna, using some of his old magic, so I'mma call it for the big city here.
Oko's big bad gang preparing for the heist of the life-time. Since it's Oko's big idea it's from Oko's stupid plan.
The sort of misty blasts of fire and ice we're seeing here is aesthetically similar to the "gunfire" magic of New Capenna. I love this guy by the way.
Hey wait a second Ashiok can't do stuff like this. They can only read nightmares, not minds!
YEah for those of you who don't know, the Ashiok in this set is actually Jace in disguise! So this is from home-grown celtic Vryn mind-shredding. Our hero(?) ladies and gentlehommes.
An actual Sterling Company goon, though at least this one has a funny joke to his card. I still really like the work they did in making sure every weapon used in the set has the needed arcing loop for Thunder to channel through it.
Oh right the reason why we're here. I'm gonna say New Capenna again, because there's basically no defining traits here. Also god I just realized he's missing the front brim of his hat and it looks terrible. Graywater pay your men properly they can't even afford complete hats!
It took me a bit to realize what was happening in this card. The lady in the back is only choosing the final Spree option here, swapping around the Outcaster and the Hellspur's clothing. Rude!
Clothing swap spells seems like a funny prank to pull at magical college, so Arcavios is where this is going.
I think in cases where I just cannot make any reasonable assumptions based on art, I should look at mechanics. Flashback is usually in Innistrad... but this lady's neckline is WAY too exposed for that Even accounting for the new plane... honestly I give up, the only real identifying factor here is her little lockpick device, which... kinda looks Kamigawan? Lets go with that.
The vibe, the way she wears her hat, and the little phone cord(?) on her belt makes me think of New Capenna. Look some of these are really difficult and I gotta go by vibes!
And that's the 30 card limit, give me a half second for part two!

character sheets for my fan iteration I like apocalyptic settings so I thought it would be fun to set a tmnt iteration in. The setting was caused by the discovery of a ruined krang ship (no one knows what happened to them) and the discovery of the tech set of an arms race so you know one basic ass humanity causing its own down fall later funny setting happens. The foot is a faction that controls the ruins of NYC and they used some secretions from the modified krang tech from the war to create mutagen. I haven’t designed splinter yet but these guys left after an accident that happened to Donnie.
the war time weaponry I wanted to make it look like they crammed the krang’s biomechanical tech into existing models. The tech in guns is mostly used as an ammo source that’s easy to fuel and also as a way to put more power in it.
this is very much a work in progress as I’m still doing some ideas for the world
Fun fact Oroku saki thought these guys would mature at the age of regular turtles so they got sent to fight rival factions at around 7 to 8 the only one who wasn’t deployed before leaving was Leo
also splinter taught them to prioritize stealth so the guns they carry are only for emergency purposes due to loud. anyway someone get them a therapist
Mikey:
for some stupid reason I made Mikey the oldest and therefore the leader (it’s so joever) he uses humor as a coping mechanism with jokes mostly making fun of hand he was dealt the such as “imagine being child soldier couldn’t be me” he also uses art as a way to relieve stress. He very much does not like being leader. He is the most agile due to his size.
Raph:
raph is the biggest guy who will willingly throw himself in front of his brothers for their safety. He seems to like gardening and helped Donnie make a greenhouse to grow food. It’s also a way to destress for him. (still figuring out stuff 💀)
Donnie:
ah yes the guy. The accident in question was due to him tinkering with land mines he was supposed to place and one fell and blew up (skill issue) since then instead of having a normal reaction it made him more interested in technology especially the war era ones. He does not care if he gets hurt while messing around with building things and due to this splinter has placed a rule where he has to be supervised which that responsibility usually falls to Leo.
Leo:
ah yes the only one without a body count. He wanted to learn more about medical stuff after Donnie’s accident as that was kinda his wake up call into noticing this world dangerous. He does not like the idea of killing. He’s kinda innocent to some things and a lot more optimistic than the others. (Still figuring things out for him)
a friend has been helping me with personality stuff as I’m not that good at this and I usually focus more on the world itself still figuring out how to tell the story :3

Do you think there's any meaning behind the fact that hanataka's kids' hair colours were slightly changed since their debut, moreso the middle kid, who used to have the same hair colour as hanataka, but now has noticeably lighter hair?
the color page is easy to explain. there's an overlay layer over it that looks kinda like this that's a bit too strong (i know a warm color overlay layer when i smell one......especially with the yellow where you want to draw the sight line to....)
wow they actually show up a lot huh
so for ch11, i believe sensei was using physical screentones (and the other 4 were done digitally) (but the color honestly isnt that different from their other appearances lol)
but even in ch 11 his hair was noticably lighter than hatanaka, since it uses screentones and hatanaka's hair is inked in
(btw this is also why there's a lot more insane flower bg screentone usage and haru had more insane tie designs pre-vol 5, bc that's when she switched to digital, i'll bet those were just screentone sheets she had lying around)
(btw btw, the way u can tell if a chapter was drawn traditionally is by zooming right in on the panel borders, you can see if there's ink spatter and imperfections from the pen. sensei uses clip studio now which can just make perfectly smooth panel borders)
there's actually also a pretty simple reason it looks like they have the same hair color in ch 109 if you look at the full panel
because its a flashback (well not a flashback, a video, but its not happening in the present time YOU GET THE IDEA) it has a limited palette, besides black and white, there's only 2 different screentones, the lighter one used for lil bro 2 and the shadow on ibaras apron, and the darker one for her shirt and the other 2 kids hair (plus a 3rd one for the background glow)
this has been art lesson with ur local translator thank u

Digimon Frontier (Manhua) - Volume 2
I wonder if anyone on tumblr has read this manhua in its physical form since it was only released in Australia. Also, how many manhua/manga are the Aussies hiding from us?? lol
Ch. 8
Oh okay, so in this version of the story digicode is called a "digital password" (for some...reason)
I do like how this artist draws Junpei. He looked cute with his hair all tousled in this chapter.
Ch. 9
Huh. They completely cut out all of the comedy from this "episode." Nothing about Calmaramon being ugly and her fanboys abandoning her and nothing about her spinning out of control and defeating herself...womp womp.
I'm attempting to read this on my Boox ereader to enhance my experience. Maybe it will motivate me to read quicker lol. I'd be curious to hear my mutuals' preferred format/app for reading emanga. I use a big mix of stuff but in this case it's Tachiyomi + eink
Ch. 10
Yikes, that was so disjointed and weird! They went from the fight with Duskmon back to the Calmaramon fight. I thought that the scans were uploaded in the wrong order or something, but nope!
The transition to the real world was so clunky and confusing.
I did like Duskmon's chapter art, that was pretty badass. His mask looks a little funky though (the fangs are more gnarly)
Ch. 11
More cut scenes messing things up: Takuya expresses his guilt for Koji's predicament, but they never bothered to go over Takuya's reckless plan to fight Duskmon, so it's totally unclear why he's guilty in the first place. Also, we see Takuya go to the real world, but we never see his epiphany for why he should go back to the digital world, he just kinda appears in the next fight scene. -sigh- Who needs character motivations or emotions amirite?
At least they cut out the tickle torture scene. Grateful for that decision...
I think this is the most expressive I've ever seen Mercuremon lol. I hope we see more of him in the franchise, his design is so original.
Ch. 12
I'm still not over how unimpressive the Frontier digivolutions are in some cases. Wolfmon and BeoWolfmon are basically the same thing. I think they straight up got Koji's digivolution name wrong here (called BeoWolfmon Garummon), so that made things extra confusing and anti-climactic lol.
A lot of things were so unclear in this chapter: it wasn't clear that Seraphimon was lending his strength, it wasn't clear how Koji realized that Koichi was a human, and the flashbacks were poorly integrated as well. Also, how did the kids end up inside Sephirothmon and not Bokomon and Neemon? Unclear.
I do appreciate how easy it is to tell Koichi and Koji apart. I feel like they did a good job making them very distinct yet still keeping it clear that they're twins.
Ch. 13
Damn, just terrible translation. They kept calling Seraphimon Ophanimon over and over again. At one point they had the wrong name right next to the correct name on the same page!! How is it possible to be THAT careless!? (I noticed that the scanner acknowledged this in their between chapters' note lol).
It was good to get another look at BlackSeraphimon's design. I already said this in my anime commentary, but it would have been way cooler if we got more of these combo designs from villains using heroes powers...
Ch. 14
I don't have many complaints for this chapter, it was done relatively well. I feel like Koichi's grandma was more explicitly negative when explaining what Koichi's father did to him ("abandoned").
The scene where Takuya is like "are you crazy? You should fight him because he's your brother" also felt weird to me. Like, what if they hurt him badly by mistake? Maybe humans can only be killed if you scan their digicode so there's no risk?

Rebels Rewatch: “The Lost Commanders”
After the harrowing peril of the premiere we settle in for a more laid-back and chill adventure with some old familiar faces.
We open with the Rebels discussing what to do next, after the shankening that Vader handed them last episode.
(And let’s appreciate for a moment how, if not for becoming distracted by Ahsoka, Vader would have completely decimated Phoenix Cell in its entirety by himself.)
Ezra blurts out his ideas before remembering that he needs to have a modicum of proper decorum. (I love his awkward little salute and Sabine shaking her head all cutely long-suffering.) Clearly he feels comfortable enough to be himself in this formal, militarized environment.
“You are never shy with your opinions, Ezra Bridger,” has all the hidden consternated tones of, “Why did we let this feral gremlin child into the Rebelllion.” lol, Sato is just so confounded that this is his life now, he’s the commander of ragtag teams with literal fifteen year olds.
This episode is the first of what I’m going to affectionately call the “Friendship Fetch Quests”, in which we go have mildly interesting adventures and do something seemingly innocuous that gains us an ally that will wind up being important later. Season Two is mostly this, if we’re honest. We go to this location, we do this character’s Loyalty Mission, we gain them as an asset to call upon later. It fits very well with the overall theme of connection and family, of making friendships and bridges that benefit the cause. Ezra’s unique Force ability is literally the power to connect, so it makes perfect thematic sense that the show emphasizes the connections made to bring so many disparate people together and unite them in the fight against the Empire.
Anyway, Ahsoka decides to aim the Ghost crew at Rex, not telling Kanan beforehand that she’s sending him to meet some clones which is... a bit of a questionable decision.
“There are questions... questions that need answering.” Aaaaaand take a shot every time there’s a Lord of the Rings shoutout in this show, we’re gonna be seeing a lot of them.
The fanfare is slightly altered this episode, vaguely TCW-sounding?
The Ghost suffers a Plot Contrivance so that Hera and Chopper can stay in orbit while the rest go down to the planet. And MY GOSH this is pretty.
I know I keep harping on the soft, watercolor-like quality of the textures but seriously, the Ralph McQuarrie style is all over these backgrounds.
Ralph McQuarrie being one of the original concept artists for the OT; his designs and art style were largely recycled, reused, and repurposed for Rebels.
You can already tell Kanan is suspecting what they’re about to encounter.
Multiple other people have already pointed out that the AT-TE has a lot of Studio Ghilbi Howl’s Moving Castle vibes. I’m just gonna reiterate them.
I love this moment right here with no music or dialogue, just the soft sound of the wind chimes. Very zen. Very lovely atmosphere.
I still haven’t actually seen TCW in its entirety, full disclosure, so I was not nearly as excited about this reveal as the Tari Husband was.
(He was sooo excited, lemme tell ya.)
HGKAJHSFKAHSFSA KANAN BEING CONFRONTED WITH A WALKING PTSD TRIGGER FROM HIS PAST AND HIS IMMEDIATE FIRST THOUGHT IS TO STEP IN FRONT OF HIS PADAWAN.
A couple people have pointed it out but Kanan’s posture here is mirrored to Depa’s in the Kanan: The Last Padwan comics. (AKA the superior tragic Kanan backstory *glares at The Bad Batch*) One hand forward, one hand with lightsaber back, shielding the padawan.
Love that.
Lol awww, Ezra being excited about the Gen 1 Clone Trooper helmet and then disappointed when Rex tells him not to touch it.
Kinda dig that Ezra’s the one doing the talking. Kanan has obvious issues with clones but Ezra doesn’t have that bias, and he’s naturally likable, so it’s easy for Rex to give in to him, at least somewhat.
*continues to grumble about The Bad Batch retconning Rex’s characterization here*
No, listen, this is why new writers need to be given refresher courses on the characters before they come on board and shows with interconnected continuities need to have detailed arc and plot maps to follow, sure we can infer and theorize that something or other sapped Rex of his motivation and drive to fight but then that’s fandom carrying the water and doing the work for the writers and I hate that, don’t do the writers’ work for them we deserve better than that!
*ahem*
But I’ll refrain from going into that rant.
Kanan’s expression. :( He hates every minute of this.
This is a nice dolly shot around here.
THIS WHOLE CONVERSATION. :(
Ezra the empath, trying to understand why his master is so agitated. How he shrinks slightly when Kanan yells. How Kanan says he doesn’t want to discuss it but does so anyway because Ezra just has that effect on people?
THE ABSOLUTE PAIN AND RAW EMOTION IN KANAN’S VOICE AS HE TALKS ABOUT ORDER 66 AND WATCHING HIS MASTER DIE.
*grumbles a little bit about TCW Season Seven making this line of Rex’s into more of a self-cope than the honest truth*
This whole sequence with the Joopa hunt is technically completely superfluous but it’s soooooo much fun. :D
The camerawork, the dialogue, the animation, the sound design and music, the Old West adventure-feel of it, the badass little moments and characterization bits for Sabine and Zeb and Kanan and Ezra...
It just makes me smile.
Speaking of the music though, this has such a classic Hollywood sound. Bombastic strings and brass, soaring into high notes and dancing.
(Favorite bit of this sequence is Kanan kick-jumping his rod into Ezra’s hands and Ezra immediately turning around and jamming them both into the line.)
Sweet.
This shot. <333
Zeb deciding to roll with Gregor’s compliment. <333
A brief snippet of Ezra’s theme here, when Kanan calls Hera. I’m actually not going to grumble about Hera’s backstory later being filled in a little, that was undefined enough that the fleshing out didn’t change anything vital.
Instead I’m going to note this very pretty flute line here.
Rex and Ezra’s friendship is criminally underrated. I bet Rex sees shades of a younger Ahsoka in him and Ezra just sees a cool old guy with great stories, another strong male influence for a teenage boy who needs them.
Ezra still can’t help talking Kanan up though.
<3333
Ezra playing peacekeeper. (Not for the last time.)
As I said, still haven’t fully watched TCW but I do appreciate that Wolffe and Gregor are both obviously damaged by their wartime experiences, Gregor by going just slightly batty, Wolffe by being a paraonoid anxiety wreck, white bites the Rebels when he calls the Empire. Rex having to remind him, “[The Jedi] weren’t the ones that betrayed us.” and “The war is over.” are like so many self-regulating mantras he must have practiced, to remind both him and the others of the truth. The chip’s influence lingers, even though they’ve all had it removed.
Ezra looking between Rex and Kanan like an anxious child in the middle of a custody battle lol.
This sequence is loose with the animation, bouncy like the first season, but the quick movements and shot choices emphasize the frantic nature of them needing to shoot the probe.
A veeery small excerpt of the Imperial March here as we close out.
This episode (and it’s following companion) is soooo rewatchable. It has the fun chill vibe of the first season with an emphasis on heavier character development and background stakes. The clones are well-integrated into the plot, used mostly to trigger and discuss Kanan’s personal traumas, while also hinting at the crap the clones have gone through themselves. There’s an almost self-defensive anger in Rex’s voice when he insists, “I didn’t betray my Jedi. [...] We all have a choice.” because for the clones... they didn’t.
I’m one of the people who likes the chips, who likes it being literally mind control rather than just genetic conditioning that turned the clones on the Jedi, like in Legends. The way I tend to sum it up is thus:
With Order 66 being just one order in many that the clones followed unquestioningly because they’re just that loyal and obedient, it makes the clones seems more monstrous. With it being a literal brainwashing device overriding their free will, it makes Palpatine more monstrous.
That he would choose clones instead of droids, because the Jedi would see the clones as human, as friends, as worthy of protecting and fighting alongside, and thus would be more blindsided, and the clones would be loyal and dependable friends right up until the chip kicked in and blanked them out, giving no warning, snaring the Jedi into the perfect deathtrap...
Hgnnnh the feels.
Ezra-as-everyone’s-therapist would continue through the season but for now let me just appreciate that Kanan’s issues are so deeply rooted it takes a few episodes to solve, lol.
Anyway, this episode is great.

Door Reviews: Delicious in Dungeon (2014)
There has been a lot of discussion recently about the new Delicious in Dungeon (2024) anime. At the recommendation of some friends, I decided to watch it. And I enjoyed it very much! It’s a great cooking anime and unexpectedly adorable and funny. I found myself craving more of it, so I decided to read the manga it was based on. Two days later, I finished the entire thing!! And now I am here to talk about this amazing manga!!!
But Doors, you may find yourself saying, this isn’t a game! Why are you reviewing this? And to that, reader, I say: I have decided to review whatever kinda thing I wanna review now! So sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride!!
What’s it about?
An adventuring group gets pitted against a dragon that overwhelms them. Their cleric saves them by teleporting them out of the dungeon. Laios, the party leader, now seeks to save the cleric Falin, his sister, before it’s too late. Without much coin and resources, Laios decided to make do by cooking and eating the monsters of the dungeon, much to the chagrin of the remaining party members Marcille and Chilchuck. With the timely assistance of Senshi, an expert on monster cuisine, they will eat their way through the dungeon in an effort to save Falin!
STYLE (Art, Character Design, Backgrounds)
The art is nice. It has this cuteness to it. It also gets so expansive, being that it is a fantasy setting with its fair share of fantasy races. You see forests, castles, caves, and other areas. A lot of variety to see!
Coming from the anime, it is nice to see the panels and enjoy them properly. There are a fair amount of wide shots to see, and it feels so nice to take them in.
I like the variety of monsters. Ranging from the cute to the deadly, the designs are all very interesting and are given much thought so that they make sense within the world. There is a lot of thought given to the various designs and I appreciate that.
The characters are all so distinctive as well. They have varying designs and their profiles are easy to recognize, even silhouetted. I especially love Senshi’s design. His mouth isn’t drawn, but his expressions can be seen in his eyes. In general, there are a lot of amusing expressions in the manga. It’s fun seeing Laios’s wacky hijinks and Marcille’s protestations!
All the foods look SO GOOD. It’s also fun to see how Senshi and the party cook the monsters. The similarities to real world food, the way they extract the ingredients from the monsters, it tickles me to see their processes. And I love seeing the party enjoy the food!
Overall, I love this manga’s art. It looks great, is understandable, and tells what it wants to tell really well.
SUBSTANCE (Story, Characters, Impact)
This manga starts out as a typical DnD story. You have your party leader, your rogue, your mage, and your dungeon. You even see a dragon first thing! As the manga goes on though, its world unfurls before you, as if a flower blossoming.
Delicious in Dungeon may have monster cuisine as its main draw, but where it shines is its worldbuilding. It builds upon its DnD base and introduces various things and concepts to make its world be its own unique thing. From monster biology to racial politics, this manga makes a lot of things matter for effective storytelling.
The main party characters all have different personalities. All of them shine through at different points. They all have their roles, and you see them play these roles in various chapters. And as time goes on, you see how their journey changes them. It feels natural, seeing them go through the dungeon.
It’s nice seeing Laios’s comprehensive knowledge of monsters. Seeing Senshi talking about cooking is nice to see too. Chilchuck is serious, but you can see he really cares about his job. And it’s fun seeing Marcille trying to help in her own way.
Delicious in Dungeon is a cooking manga, and its themes center more around food and consumption more deeply than I expected. Food is something that we tend to take for granted, but it really is something we need to survive. The manga makes a point of malnutrition being dangerous in dungeon delving, so you have to make sure you have a balanced diet. And there’s also the act of enjoying said food, savoring them and enjoying them with others.
I have a newfound appreciation for food because of this manga, and I am thankful that it gave me that. I enjoyed the journey of reading this very much!
VERDICT
Delicious in Dungeon is a wonderful manga that goes surprisingly deep. It is funny, exciting, sad, and hopeful. I encourage you all to read it when you can! And go and watch the anime too while you’re at it!!
Door Rates Delicious in Dungeon: 5/5!

Fantastic Four #47 v6 (Sue, how do I love thee.)
Mixed bag on this, but the art was great.
Nice Sue-Centric issue, minus the narration boxes, author is trying too hard to vindicate Sue's greatness..
Villain was ass
narration bubbles began sweet at first (because husband professing love for his woman is great) then dragged onto self-indulgent pedestal propping for Susan, very cringe.
She's great but holy moly, dial it back.
Next, the Marvel Universe wouldn't exist if not for Sue Storm, writer needed to balance the romance with the sycophant energy, you can admire & sing the praises of your spouse and not sound desperate for a treat, Christ.
'I wouldn't have explored the stars if not for her. '
Whatever you say Reed. Your life's ambition would've remained grounded if not for this woman. That really takes away from his character and revolves all around Susan.
You don't have to diminish or be reductive of his accomplishments just to prop her up, its unnecessary and its predictable.
You'd never write that she only became what she decided to do with her life cause of a man, so don't do it the other way.
There's nothing "overlooked" about her contributions either, Reed/ *cough >>WRITER.
Are you tryna tell me people give more credit to the guy who's power is being a walking rock than the woman who's arguably the face of the goddamn team and spends almost every fight on crowd control which involves people SEEING what she can do and what she contributes.
Let's not even try to forget how old this team is in the timeline, so how the fuck with her being the ONLY woman- is she overlooked, how lmfao.
That's the kind of stuff I'm talking about, needless gaslighting just to kiss her ass. Trying to make Sue into an underappreciated underdog when in reality, she's multiple MVP.
EASY MVP, like just put respect on her name without the weird shit man. It's simple.
Besides that cheesy garbage that unfortunately is littered throughout the issue, the art and story was solid. I like that Sue doesn't see herself as a "superhero", still even now, it's why she's not more powerful than she already is, she doesn't revel in that side of her life. She doesn't entertain it beyond necessity, not training or honing that Celestial tier power she has.
I don't like how Marvel shys from her other past, wasn't she a model or clothes designer? (Showbiz/actress) Is that not STEM enough for this current generation, now its explorer and activist lmfao. Kinda boring resume'.
I guess women aren't woman enough unless they fit a certain box nowadays, everyone's a genius now.
You better want to go in STEM ladies or else you're not womaning right.
maybe I remember it wrong, I coulda swore she was in fashion like Janet or perhaps, I'm conflating her with Janet (edit: Again, she dabbed in Showbiz, acting).
But regardless she's been in the game long enough to be Administrator for The Baxter building, that's a good move. She's mature enough to handle it while Reed is lost in his braincells.
Decent issue. So much better without the sycophant narration boxes though. The envelope was pushed a bit for me in the overtones, it's like: "I get it, alright? Relax."
The action panels are really, nice, pg 14 her assassinating the robo goes hard.

THIS IS A FINAL PART I PROMISE!!!!
so... ocs. Now that we finished with the CherryOriginSMP lets talk about some other things
A STORY ABOUT THREE COOKS A DEMON A GUY AND ANOTHER GUY WITH GLASSES
More about them and A LOT OF ART below!!!
They are so silly! Dagon, Bublik and Kyle are somewhat friends slash lovers nobody can't really tell. All flirt, all do strange things. God knows what happens in their little flat at night. Dagon and Bublik usually fight and make fun of each other. But both are sweet and soft with Kyle. Except those moments where Dagon does fucked up shit to Kyle but we don't talk about that. Again, they have strange relationship.
Actually I wanna adress that we made this story together with my friends! Cherry and Bublik were the ones to make Kyle and Bublik as characters! They are really cool! Love those silly guys!
Anyways, Dagon is a demon from hell that usually works at the restaurant owned by his boss quote — unquote "Dad" (Dagon doesn't call him dad even tho Raum really feels like his father)
Bublik and Kyle summoned a litteral demon because they COULDN'T WORK WELL AND GOT FIRED EVERY WEEK. They asked for help and guidance in exchange of their souls. But basically it means that when they die they'll spawn in hell and would be like his slaves of something. After some time they became friends so Dagon just made them free in hell. Kinda.
The main twist is that when Dagon comes to Earth, he realises that... he doesnt know how to cook in human world. In hell it's all easy. They all eat fucking coal, you just make it really hot and its good enough. But in the human world he made fire again and again. EVERYTHING IS ON FIRE BC OF HIM! So... He couldn't fulfill his part of the deal. That means he is stuck on Earth until he does. That's when the fun begins as they try themselves in different cooking jobs again and again and again...
Here are some doodles of them!
At the end of this story Kyle and Bublik become demons too! Kyle and Dagon even find a little girl who becomes their daughter
Some other demon designs i tried:
This story has actually a different route with an archidemon who finds a perfect lawer in human world and makes a deal but thats a different whole thing!
Thank you for reading it! It means a lot! Next time I will share my BACKROOMS story ! It is kinda creepy but i really like the concept!

💫A goofy AHHH review💫
hey guys it's ya boi Rusty here again!! and I'm here to review:
Yes yes, I can hear y'all now saying "but it's made for kids" "bro why are u watching this" 🤓☝
Stop right there, bud. ✋
This show is pretty good so far, all things considered! I decided to watch it for the nostalgia (and for mah boi Smee ofc!)!! I watched this show a little bit when I was younger, so I remember it fairly well. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it isn't cringe! (Well, some parts are a little iffy but we'll get to that in a minute.) It's actually tolerable and even made me laugh at some parts!
💫The songs💫
The songs aren't that good, in fact their kinda cringe. (But ofc I gotta go easy on this show cuz yes, it is intended for little kids with no brain cells.) At the end of every episode (wich usually consists of two episodes ranging from 15 minutes long each, making up the 30 minute mark.) There's these two ideots called Sharky and Bones who sing a song, and it's cringe. The lyrics arent funny, and their singing isn't even that good. I get that the humer is supposed to have zero brain cells, but come on guys. U gotta try a bit harder than that. The background music for the episodes is ok, nothing I would casually listen to though.
💫The characters💫
We have a few new characters to add to the Peter Pan universe by the names of Jake, Cubby (WHY ARE THEIR TWO CUBBYS?!), Izzy, Skully, Sharky and Bones. (And Captain Hook and Mr. Smee of course!!) The character designs are good, they work well for everyone, except Hook. Hook just looks weird in this art style honestly. And at first I didn't like Smee's design in this, but it grew on me. (The og is still better though!) In fact, he might even look kinda cute! :D
The voice acting for them is great too!! Its very expressive and something you wouldn't normally get from a kids show. The new voice actors for Smee and Hook almost sound IDENTICAL to the og's! There are some minor differences, but nothing to really make me get annoyed at. The animation is smooth and fluid too! I can tell that they used computer Riggs, but it's barely even noticeable! Which from what I heard, computer Riggs are pretty hard to do. So thats honestly impressive!
💫The insecurities of Jake and The Neverland Pirates💫
First off, I wanna talk about how Smee is portrayed. In the og movie, he's supposed to be a bumbling ideot (but a lovable ideot imo!). In this series, he seems to have a few brain cells, which I dislike. They didn't stay true to his character! Neither did they with Hook. He isn't that goofy anymore, neither is he evil, but he's in between. I can't really describe it, but something is off with his personality.
Like I said before, the music isn't very good, and neither is the pacing of each episode. It's inconsistent and feels too slow at times. The plot points for each episode are predictable too. The kids find something to play with, and Hook wants whatever it is and steals it and they take it back etc etc. The dabloons make no sense either! They collect dabloons each episode for their chest, but why?! What does it accomplish?! Maybe Im not smart enough to understand but that makes no sense to me. It's repetitive too, but not to the point where u want to shove a gun into the side of your head and call it quits. Like I said, it's tollerable! It does feel like Micky Mouse Clubhouse though (I HATE MICKEY MOUSE CLUBHOUSE.), but with Peter pan 💀
💫Conclusion💫
I like this show, and I think it's cute! It has potential!! Maybe just get rid of the repetitiveness and the cringe songs and it could be good! I reccomend this is you want the nostalgia from your chilhood (well technically I'm still a kid but whatever LOL)!!
That's my thoughts on this show! I haven't finished the first season yet, but maybe my views will change, but well see. But when they do, I'll keep u posted!! Thanks for reading this and I hope you have a spectacular day/night!!! I love you :D❤❤
(Oh yeah one last thing I gotta note is that Smee actually referred to Hook as "your greatness" 🤨 idk man..)

OHO???? Writing prompts? Then I send one in for my most beloved Jedrek, perhaps the mc is enraptured with how he appears in photos(they.....have some form of camera right? I assumed so with the magitech and what its capable of in this game), even outside of the little reporting work they do, so more often than not they end up staring at him like hes a piece of art- maybe this happens so often the mc spaces out- a vague prompt but I figure u can work more with this since im giving a specific interest for this prompt
Omg I love writing Jed!! 👀 And this prompt!!
Also they do have matech! The exact design of the camera is still being workshopped but I'm kinda imagining it having steampunk type vibes!
Writing below expand more line! Thank you for the prompt! 😘
For extra fun tidbits I was listening to In the Middle of the Night by Elley Duhé when writing this! (That's my go to song for Jed!)
CW: References to blood and m0rder
At first, you'd only kept the photograph to remember his face. So that even when your mind forcefully forgot his name, his gravelly voice, or the feeling of his hands brushing against your throat every time he wanted to remind you what he was capable of, you'd always remember what he looked like. It was never meant to be anything more than that, a preventative measure to protect yourself from the monster of a man who you'd come to… collaborate with.
Yet, as you stare at the Polaroid like picture, tentatively perched between two fingers, you can't explain the feeling that curses you. For what should horrify you to your core, what in fact already horrifies the nation every time they see one of your articles, instead you find it hauntingly beautiful. The way he postures, ready to pounce on his victim, how the moonlight catches his hair to reflect an opalescent glow, how his pointed teeth bare in his cruel smile… it's artistic in a way.
Though, whether it's your own talent or the subject of your lens that you admire, is not something you find easy to answer.
Your eyes flit between the photo and the almost perfect recreation of the scene that unfolds before you until the photo is no longer sufficient, your gaze completely entranced by the killer. You barely even notice the prey, their screams just a background noise at this point. You wonder, what scene must Jedrek be showing the helpless victim for his ruby eyes to gleam so brightly, to render him so full of delight that his pale cheeks flush in satisfaction, as his teeth bare, poised and ready to take his prize at the perfect moment.
You know you should take be taking pictures right now, but you can't bring yourself to trigger the camera; you're too lost in the terrifying beauty of it all.
“Am I boring you, Kitten?” The gravelly breath against your ear breaks you from your daydream, and your senses are overwhelmed by the metallic smell as your space is completely invaded by the subject of your thoughts. Though his crimson stained lips curve into a smile, you can tell, for having been the one to capture his every expression, that he isn't happy.
“I was just distracted, trying to decide the right shot to take for tomorrow's edition.” You know he can hear that slight jump in the pace of your heartbeat when you lie, you know that he is almost breathing in the signs of your attempt at deceit, as is his nature, but you still try regardless.
“I'm sure I gave you plenty, yet I didn't see you use that device of yours once.” Fingers against your jaw force you to look at him, and your breath can't help but hitch the same way it did when you first met. Every fibre of your being tells you to run, that he's dangerous, yet it's exactly that same part of you that thinks he's dazzling. A long, sharp finger trails down the artery in your throat. “Now, what exactly were you thinking? Oh, and I wouldn't lie to me again. Your heart always gives you away.”
“You're like a piece of art–” your words bubble out before you could even attempt to stop them, and you can't help but curse yourself for it.
Unexpectedly, instead of teeth ripping through your throat like you'd braced for, it's laughter that tears through the air.
“Jed?” Your voice ripe with disbelief, you daringly question the man who cackles with pure joy at your answer.
Before you can react, his arms enclose you against the wall, the stone scratching at any exposed skin on your back, and he gives no opening for escape. His whole body casts yours in shadow, as if he suddenly grows several feet, and the only light that highlights you both is the ravenous glow of hellfire in his eyes.
“You are such a strange one, I'm starting to think you're not half as afraid of me as you should be. Maybe I should rectify that.”
“No!” Your voice comes out embarrassingly strangled. You've seen what he's capable of, and you had no desire to be on the receiving end, even if you did seem to have a tendency to enjoy watching the show. “I know exactly how scared I should be.”
“Ah that's the key word, should. You should be scared of me, but instead, I don't think you'd complain if I was to make you scream.”
“No… that…” Your mind scrambles over the innuendo, trying to figure out whether he actually meant his implication or whether he was teasing you… again.
“Hm, turns out there's more ways other than fear I can use to make your heart race Kitten. How fun.” He seems delighted at the fact; he did always love something new and entertaining. “What else could I do to make it jump for me?” Fingers whisper against your shoulders, down your arms, interlocking with your own… and pinning your hands above your head. His grip is inhumanely strong, and no matter how much or little you struggle, it does nothing but appear to amuse him. “What if I was to do this?” His low voice somehow drops further as he leans in to brush just against the lobe of your ear. “You wouldn't know if I was going to make you relive every nightmare you've ever had,” whilst one hand remains to restrain your own, the other thumb runs against your lower lip. You can taste the iron stain left in his wake. “Or if I was going to kiss you.” He laughs, deep and low, “though who says I can't do both. Pleasure and pain both sound fun, don't they?”
“Yet you do neither.” You gulp with whatever stupid bravado you decide to muster. Why are you so reckless? Did your sense of self-preservation just decide to go off on a holiday? Or are you just an idiot–
“I don't think you could handle it, and I'd hate for you to break too quickly.” His hand finds purchase over your throat, applying a warning amount of pressure.
“I'm not scared of you, Jedrek.”
“You should be.”

Tell me about the cubes.
assuming you mean geometry dash, unfortunately there is no angsty gd cube lore for you to hear of, but i can tell you about some of my favourite levels in no particular order!!!! (decoration and vibes-wise, i am not about to actually beat these anytime soon unfortunately)
xo by krmal
xo is a very controversial level because many think it is "lazy" as it uses extremely basic blocks with no decorations on them whatsoever. the most complicated it gets decoration-wise are the effects which are cool but not particularly flashy. this is why people don't like it and don't think it is worthy to be officially uploaded onto the servers.
however, i really like xo!!! it has genuinely incredible music sync, surprisingly well thought-out design and extremely interesting structure for the limitations the creator was putting on himself!!! levels like xo are great because of how original they are. in times like these ones for the community, where most extreme demons are generic glow with tight wave spam and straightfly as the only reason they are difficult, xo isn't afraid to completely challenge the oversaturated market of extreme demons by prioritising making an interesting level over making one that exists only for it to get attention for being on the demonlist (top 150 hardest levels in the game).
i'll put the rest under a cut because WOW i didnt expect to rant that much about xo...
2. LIMBO by mindcap + more
limbo is very hard to describe because, as cheesy as it sounds, its less of a level and more of a visual experience. even just watching a run of this level (which almost every player will have to do since it is very difficult) is surreal. there is so much creativity poured into every section of limbo that sets it apart from other levels. it is also incredibly consistent for a megacollab (a level where lots of people made small parts of it) but each part still feels distinct enough to be memorable while keeping to a central theme.
3. killbot by boldstep
killbot has one of the coolest concepts for an extreme demon out there. the supposed "story" behind the level is that the player has downloaded a corrupted computer program that is out to kill them (hence the name, killbot), and throughout the level textboxes appear showing the system attempting to delete the killbot virus. the level starts out green and as it progresses, turns into red and black as the virus corrupts more and more parts, until finally at the end the virus is said to have been forcefully deleted.
the level kinda hurts to look at because of all the flashing and general air decoration but still maintains a very cool atmosphere. it does not look fun to play though.
4. decode by rek3dge
finally a level within my skill range! decode is a simple level, but very effective. it has a great song, a certain iconic wave section, and it technically isn't anything special, but who cares. i've never seen anyone hate decode. it's a universally loved level, which is incredibly rare for the gd community, and even rarer considering its rated demon (albiet only easy demon).
fun fact: spaceuk, the perpetrator of one of the game's most shocking and destructive hacking scandals, beat decode as his first ever demon level.
5. emerald realm by castrix + more
this level is based on ori and the blind forest/ori and the will of the wisps, which are great games so that already makes this level super cool. but i think i speak for everyone who's ever seen this level when i say that emerald realm has some of the most beautiful decoration in any gd level. you can appreciate emerald realm as a piece of art regardless of whether you've played the ori games or not. (yes, culuc's part is obviously the best one, all hail culuc, etc).
6. jigsaw
nothing extraordinary about this one...but it's a saw-themed gd level that looks super cool. so of course it's one of my favourites, even if it's not had a huge impact on the community.
7. congregation by presta
(insert funny congregation jumpscare meme). congregation is controversial, similar to xo, because it has less than 40,000 objects, which doesn't sound like much to someone unfamiliar with the game - but the current hardest level has over 200,000 objects. so naturally some people were irritated when congregation was rated - another case of a level being seen as "lazy" by a large number of the community.
but...congregation is so cool! it has a technological atmosphere emphasised with a fitting song that creates a feeling of mystery, unease, and the incredibly long build up to the drop of the level as more and more things begin to appear that makes it surprisingly suspenseful. the second section of the level does bring it down for me but this is still a great example of an extreme demon that stands out from the rest.
also, it has no wave or ship, the gamemodes that extremes usually rely on to create difficult segments, which makes it even more original!
8. b by motleyorc and scorchv2
b is a medium demon set in a beehive. you must navigate the beehive while avoiding some scarily large bees with ._. faces. simple but effective level that pretty much everyone loves.
oops it is now 11:21pm i should probably sleep now. yay

HIIII!!!, can I have a Percy Jackson and a Demon slayer matchup plz
my name is Rex, ima just do bullet points cause they are easier for me and also gonna dm a pic of me cause im kinda shit at describing what I look like🧍🏽♀️
Age:17
Gender: Non-Binary
Pronouns: They/Them
Skin Color:carmel or like a neutral tan
hair: changes a lot, my natural hair is a curly mullet thats like faded blonde. But right now they are red Faux locs
Body type: I dont really know you to describe it but its like a chubby hourglass/thicc? I have hip dips on me though🧍🏽♀️And I have a large chest
Height: 5’4 short king🫡
Personality:
MBTI: ENFP
- I like to hang out with my friends a lot and can be very social at times, but then social battery runs out and im tapped out
- I take pictures of everything cause I just like having a bunch of memories
- Im always sleepy cause a I stay up super late, so sometimes i show up to school in PJS
- Im really into visual art. I want to be a fashion designer in the future, and I just like fashion in general
- Speaking of fashion I have a bajillion aesthetics, I can’t pick one to stick with so I try em all
- I can get pretty insecure sometimes about myself, but then 3 seconds later im like “Im the hottest bitch here” its very odd
- I have Anemia so i get nauseous and dizzy easy which sucks
- I also have ADHD so i can ether hyper focus, get hella distracted and space out, or get really overstimulated
- I can get fired up about issues or stuff I care about very easily, like its a bunch of bottle uped feelings spilling over
Thats kinda it for me🫡
Hi Rex! Thank you for your request! Sorry it took so long. I hope you like your matchups!
In Percy Jackson, I match you with...
Will is a lot like you in that he’s social while also having a social battery that runs out quickly. He’s good at hiding it but social situations wear him out easily.
Knows lots of tips and tricks for helping manage ADHD, both from a medical perspective and first-hand experience. He’s also really good at helping you with your anaemia.
Loves looking over your latest creative project. Whether it’s a fashion design or something more traditionally artsy, he likes seeing your creativity come to life.
Will also loves hanging out with you and an assortment of friends. He also loves making memories and being able to share them with those he cares about. Life as a demigod is dangerous and often short so he wants to make the most out of every day.
Please take lots of candid photos of him. He’s really photographic, even if he’s aware of the camera but when he’s oblivious, he seems almost ethereal.
In Demon Slayer, I match you with...
Much like Will, Tanjiro enjoys hanging out with you and his friends. He’s got a more resilient social battery than most but is happy to follow your lead and have a break when you need one.
Your personal cheerleader! Tanjiro loves everything about you (yes, even your mood swings) and will tell you how much he cares about you. It’s hard to feel insecure when someone’s constantly hyping you up.
Thinks your tendency to hyper focus and then get easily distracted is endearing. If you’re focusing on something for too long, Tanjiro will make sure you take a break and have a drink and something to eat.
Really soothing when you get overstimulated. He’ll move you away from whatever has caused your overstimulation and sit with you until you’re feeling better.
He’s got a relaxing presence that isn’t overbearing. Sometimes when he’s sitting with you, it feels like there’s no one there. But be rest assured, Tanjiro’s there if and when you need him.

Tmnt 2032 Concept Art and my thoughts
I am still writing the plot (the brain is natures notepad) and it probably won’t pilot for a few months (REMIND ME.) I’d love it if you ask questions <3
RAPH - back when I was thinking of giving him a short temper. I don’t think I stayed with that idea. Also his plastron design changed
MIKEY — he’s a silly little guy probably aroace and doesn’t rlly care/know abt gender roles/norms. He’s also a huge romance and drama lover. Such a silly little guy.
DONNIE — was my favorite to design. At first I gave him older sister syndrome for like a minute but then was like nah he’s an older brother he’s not that much older than his brothers either and is just kinda doing his own thing. He’s a huge engineering geek tho, that’s his favorite science f field (other than his super secret special interest that I’m not revealing yet)
MONA LISA — Yeah I actually designed her before Leo. (And Mikey.) Cry about it. who’s Trike? Uhhhh dw Abt it.
SPLINTER — Idk how old he’s gonna be, I just wrote it in the moment. Still kinda working on his design. Not his human design. That was easy. I’m having trouble with the mutant part.
LEO — Yes I did eventually make his design and homestly I love it so much. He’s so blue and gay and gender. Also he cannot stand up straight. Imma have to remember that. there’s just a lil bit hidden cause imma keep it hidden for funsies and spoilers.
APRIL O’NIEL — OMG I LOVE HER SO MUCH. Let’s see: Her dad is African American with like maybe one grandparent immigrated from India or was a descendant of one. Her mom was born and raised in India then moved to the US for some reason (don’t ask me, I haven’t thought of it yet.)
She’s a lesbian, she used to be in softball, she has a nose ring, gets in a new relationship every few months, visits her family in India fairly regularly, usually understimulated or just very hyper but it’s pretty easy for her to get overstimulated. Probably adhd brain. Maybe around 17 or 18.
SOME ADDITIONAL CONCEPT PAGES
Some little extra concepts while I was working out how to draw them
CASEY and VENUS
I have so many drawings of Casey cause I love him but here’s some of his color coded concept art. And Venus deserved her own concepts too even tho she probly won’t be out in the field for a while. Still working on Jenny’s.
THE SHELLS
had to actually design their shells cause that’s logical yk.
GASP WHOS THIS. ITS. ITS SOME GUYS. FIGMANTS OF MY IMAGINATION. Shhh I can’t tell you yet
There’s a bit more but I’m out of time <3
