Everything You Need to Know About Samsung Galaxy S20 FE
Samsung has been a popular brand when it comes to the production of quality smartphones. Samsung offers a wide range of smartphones with the latest specifications and advanced features. Recently, Samsung added one more offering to its wide range of smartphones as they launched Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G. Samsung Galaxy S20 FE comes packed with some advanced and astonishing features. It is available for $699, which seems like a justified price after looking at the specifications of this device. In this article, we are going to look at all the specifications and features of the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE. Let’s scroll down and find the best about this phone.
Tumblr media
The display is one of the most astonishing parts of the smartphones these days as most of the quality smartphones come with a big and bright display. The screen is a prime attraction about Samsung smartphones, and Samsung Galaxy S20 FE seems to be affirming this notion as it comes with a 6.50-inch touchscreen display that has a resolution of 1080×2400 pixels. The aspect ratio of the screen is 20:9 and has a refresh rate of 120Hz. It is a big, bright, sharp, and colorful display that is going to give you the best experience of watching movies or playing games.
Samsung devices are considered one of the best when it comes to performance. Samsung has tried to make Samsung Galaxy S20 FE, one of the best performing devices, as it is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor. This processor gives you a smooth experience of using this device as you will be able to use multiple apps along with some heavy gaming, without worrying about your device getting heated up or consuming additional power. The 6GB RAM adds more the seamlessness of this device and makes it possible to switch among the apps quickly. You are going to have a wonderful experience of multitasking on this phone without facing any glitches. Samsung Galaxy S20 FE runs Android 10, which is very easy to navigate through.
The camera quality is something we all consider before buying a new smartphone. Samsung is known for producing smartphones with the best camera quality, and Samsung Galaxy S20 FE is one of the best when it comes to camera quality. This device packs a rear camera setup of 12MP + 12MP + 8MP that allows you to capture high-quality photos and videos. A 32 MP front camera is also provided in this device to handle your selfies and video calls. You will be able to store a lot of important data including high-quality photos, videos, and even full-length HD movies, without worrying about the storage in your device getting full anytime soon as the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE features an internal storage of 128GB.
Connectivity is the primary thing about any smartphone, and the availability of 5G connectivity makes Samsung Galaxy S20 FE outstanding. The Wi-Fi connectivity, Bluetooth connectivity, and GPS are some other notable features of this device. This device packs a good number of sensors including an accelerometer, an ambient light sensor, a compass/ magnetometer, a gyroscope, and a proximity sensor. An in-display fingerprint sensor is also there for the improved security of your device along with face unlock support. It is going to need enough power for all these functions to run smoothly, so Samsung Galaxy S20 FE is provided with a 4500mAh battery. This battery is powerful enough to last long, and it also supports fast-charging.
Samsung has not compromised with the design of Samsung Galaxy S20 FE while loading it with some advanced features. The dimensions of this device measure 159.80 x 74.50 x 8.40mm, and it weighs 190g, which is pretty compact and easy to carry in your pocket. Samsung Galaxy S20 FE is available in Cloud Navy, Cloud White, Cloud Pink, Cloud Red, Cloud Blue, and Cloud Gold colors. An IP68 rating for dust and water protection assures the durability of this device.
Samsung Galaxy S20 FE is one of the best offerings from Samsung that ticks all the basics right while featuring some advanced features which are usually available in much more expensive Android smartphones. Samsung Galaxy S20 FE can be the right and affordable pick for you if you are looking for a new Android smartphone.

So far Verizon hasn't been selling the Samsung Galaxy S20, despite the fact that the carrier offers both the S20+ and the S20 Ultra. This will be rectified soon, and when the carrier nicknamed Big Red will have the S20 on offer, it will also get its own exclusive colorway - Cloud White. Evan Blass has shared these official-looking press renders of the upcoming phone. It's nice to see no trace of Verizon branding anywhere. If you're confused about the color, do note that it should have appeared in other markets, but in the US it will be exclusive to Verizon. Other carriers and retail channels in the US only get Cloud Blue, Cloud Pink, and Cosmic Black. As for why it's taking this long for Big Red to launch the S20, that has to do with the fact that its model will be the only S20 version to support both Sub6 and mmWave 5G. The mmWave support is missing from every other S20 iteration across the world, and we're guessing that adding that in for Verizon has been a tad challenging, especially in a phone that's smaller than all other mmWave-capable devices that have come out so far. . . . . #techies_page_samsung #techies_page #techies #tech #technology #samsung #samsunggalaxy #samsunggalaxys20 #galaxys20 #s20 #white #blue #pink #black #usa #unitedstates #australia #uk #unitedkingdom #samsunggalaxys20plus #galaxys20plus #samsunggalaxys20ultra #galaxys20ultra #galaxys205g #5g #verizon #exclusive #verizonwireless #mmwave #sub6 https://www.instagram.com/p/B_aBsQxghz3/?igshid=zfgh1bt1js1k

🔥Samsung Galaxy S20 price and release date: Meet Samsung's next-gen smartphones🔥
Samsung kicked off the first big phone launch of the year with the debut of the new Galaxy S20 smartphone range in San Francisco tonight.
Along with three new phones in its S range, the South Korean giant also unveiled its new folding phone, named the Galaxy Z Flip. With a clamshell design and ultra-thin glass display, Samsung hopes to put the issues of last year’s Galaxy Fold behind it and compete with the 2019 Motorola Razr.
The other big news is the emphasis Samsung is putting on 5G in this range. Each S20 phone will have a 5G variant, with only one – the Galaxy S20 – available in 4G. At the moment, the number of UK customers using 5G in the UK is about 11 million, something Samsung expects will grow to 17 million – about 25 per cent of the population, during 2020.
“I think the difficulty with 5G is you’ve got two choices as the manufacturer: you either get on the wave later on or you make the wave,” explained Kate Beaumont, director of innovation, technology and services strategy at Samsung. “From a Samsung perspective, we’re all about making the wave getting into the innovation early.”
Here’s what you need to know about Samsung’s new 2020 phones.
Samsung Galaxy S20
In a nutshell: The ‘normal’ one. Samsung has ditched the ‘e’ phone from the range and its new entry-level phone is the S20. It’s also the only phone that comes in both 4G and 5G variants.
Specs: The S20 sports a 6.2-inch Quad HD AMOLED display with a tiny punch-hole camera in the middle. The 10MP selfie camera has been slimmed down by a whopping 55 per cent and if you choose your background right you can barely even see it. The display is also HDR10 certified and it has 120HZ support – this means the display can show up to 120 frames per second, which is extremely fast and excellent for things like gaming.
There are three cameras on the back of this device: 12MP ultra-wide lens, 12MP wide-angle lens and a 64MP telephoto lens. It also features Samsung’s new Space Zoom which offers super-resolution zoom up to 30x.
It will come in two storage options: 8GB RAM or 12GB RAM with 128G storage, and the battery will be 4,000mAh – last year’s S10 only sported a 3,400mAh so this a big bonus. And you can get this phone in either 4G or 5G depending on your preference but it’s nice to see Samsung spreading around the 5G bonus at different price points.
Colour-wise, the S20 is available in three colours: cosmic grey, cloud blue and cloud pink which is an exclusive colour for this phone size.
Price and release date:
Remember, you get a free pair of the new Galaxy Buds wireless earbuds with each pre-order. We loved last year’s version so we’re looking forward to trying out that longer battery life (11-hour per earbud to be exact).
Verdict: This is a nice looking phone, though that back camera formation is going to need some getting used to. It has decent specs and features but if it’s a great (on paper because we haven’t tested it yet) camera you want then you might want to increase your budget.
Samsung Galaxy S20
In a nutshell: A bigger, more powerful version of the S20 but still not the jackpot as far as Samsung is concerned when it comes to specs.
Specs: There’s a big leap in size to 6.7-inches on the Galaxy S20 — last year’s S10 was 6.1-inches so that shows how big phones are nowadays. There’s also an added depth sensor to the back of the device, which is handy for things like 3D scanning and portrait photography, either for images or when using the Live focus video which allows you to blur the background out in real-time.
The other improvements on the normal S20 include 12GB of RAM as standard and either 128GB and 512GB of storage. In addition, it will feature a 4,500mAh battery, as well as improved wireless charging speeds for the fans.
One thing that will be fun to try out is the new gaming features. As well as that 120Hz refresh rate which means there should be no game lag – particularly when coupled with 5G – and there’s a game booster mode which offers AI-powered performance for smooth graphics. You’ll also be able to play PC games like Forza Street on your smartphone thanks to the power of 5G.
The S20 comes in three colours: cosmic grey, cosmic black and cloud blue.
Price and release date:
Verdict: Even with the additional S20 Ultra (see below) the S20 still looks to be a great phone and probably the one most people will buy. It’s got a big screen size, yet it’s not unwieldly to handle, decent camera specs and all the extra benefits like the 120Hz display support to make it stand out against the other Android phones on the market.
Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra
In a nutshell: This is where things really get fun. Samsung has thrown everything at the S20 Ultra to make it the ultimate smartphone, particularly when it comes to the camera. So if you care about smartphone photography, this is a serious contender.
Specs: The phone sits in a 6.9-inch body – yes, that is pretty big. It has a higher resolution camera lens to capture more detail with 108MP to be exact. Samsung says this smart camera system uses nona-binning tech to turn nine pixels into one in an image, to capture crisp detail. This is supposed to be good for shooting in bright sunlight in particular.
In addition, there’s a 100x Space zoom feature. You can also capture a photo and then zoom in and crop it – usually doing this on a smartphone picture means you would lose detail and clarity but because it’s a such a high-resolution then it still looks good.
The single-take feature looks fun too: this allows people to record a video and then the camera’s AI chooses the best photos and videos to save.
Elsewhere, the phone features a 5,000mAh battery, 12 or 16GB of RAM with either 128GB or 512GB with a microSD slot which can take this up to 1TB to store all those fancy photos.
Price and release date:
Verdict: If you want a really big phone that will take amazing pictures then Samsung has a decent pitch in the form of the S20 Ultra. However, with a £1,399 price tag, it’s one of the most expensive phones the company has created (aside from the folding ones) so there is a high cost to all that tech.

Verizon’s exclusive Samsung Galaxy S20 5G UW is now available
After a pretty long wait, starting today you can finally buy a Samsung Galaxy S20 at Verizon. As promised last month, the carrier now has its own exclusive version of the phone in stock, called Galaxy S20 5G UW.
Verizon has been selling the Galaxy S20+ and S20 Ultra, but held off on the junior S20 until Samsung was able to add support for its unique mmWave 5G (which its larger siblings have had from day one).
Normal pricing is the same as anywhere else, the S20 can be yours for $999. However, today only if you order one you’ll get a special $150 off, in the form of bill credits applied if you purchase using the carrier’s installment plan for 24 months.
You can grab the S20 in Cosmic Gray, Cloud Pink, and Cloud White, the latter of which is apparently an exclusive hue for Verizon in the States. Buying the phone now means you’ll get an update right when you take it out of the box, which will install software version G981VSQU1ATEA, bringing you the June security patches. That’s a good start, let’s hope Verizon keeps up with this timeliness.

Samsung Galaxy Watch Active2 review: It's everything I wish Wear OS would be
I've reviewed my fair share of Wear OS smartwatches, and while the designs and hardware is often fantastic, they always leave something to be desired. It's not the OEMs' faults either; that's all on Google and Qualcomm. One thing that I haven't dove into is Samsung's lineup of smartwatches, mainly because I don't often use Samsung smartphones.
But for my Galaxy S20+ 5G review, I really wanted to try out the Galaxy Watch Active2 to see what Samsung has to offer. Samsung uses Tizen, so this is a completely different experience from Wear OS, although it does work with any Android phone.
As it turns out, it's everything that I wish Wear OS was. Samsung's Exynos chip is fast, and the software has pleasant and consistent animations. The hardware is solid, with a beautiful curved glass round body and a Super AMOLED display. It also adds Samsung's Touch Bezel, and if you go for the stainless steel model, 4G LTE.

The chassis comes in aluminum or stainless steel. The aluminum variant is Wi-Fi only, while the stainless steel model is cellular.
There's also a smaller model with a 1.2-inch display. The screen resolution is the same, so it has a higher pixel density, although it does have a smaller battery at 247mAh.
Day one
Design and display
Samsung's Galaxy Watch Active2 is probably the sexiest smartwatch on the market. The company really did a great job with it. The chassis comes in either aluminum or stainless steel, and you can get it in Aqua Black/Black, Cloud Silver/Silver, or Pink Gold/Gold. As noted above, the aluminum ones are Wi-Fi only, while stainless steel comes with cellular.
I went with Cloud Silver aluminum, sacrificing a fair bit of style while opting not to spend the extra $150 for cellular connectivity that I won't use. Note that compared to an Apple Watch, this is an incredibly inexpensive device.
The aluminum models have a matte finish on the body, and it's also lighter than the 44g stainless steel model, coming in at 30g. There are just two buttons on the side, with the top one serving as a home button and the bottom one acting as a back button.
It uses standard 20mm bands that are easy to replace with the pin mechanism that's common in smartwatches. It's a silicone band, as you'd expect from a sporty device like the lighter aluminum model, although the stainless steel one does come with a leather band. Naturally, you can swap them out, get third-party bands, and play around with it.
The bottom of the device includes your standard heart rate sensor, but one thing that you'll notice is that there are no charging pins. Yes, this smartwatch actually supports wireless charging, something that's something of a rarity these days. The only other current smartwatch I've used with the feature is the Apple Watch.
I really want to praise Samsung for this though, because charging pins suck. Yes, I said it. They get dirty after you wear the watch on your sweaty wrist for a time, and they require cleaning to properly charge your device. That's just not a problem with wireless charging.
With a minimal design and a round chassis on the Galaxy Watch Active2, even the display is beautiful. It's a 360x360 Super AMOLED display, and if you've ever used a modern Samsung flagship smartphone, then you know how pretty its Super AMOLED screens are. The colors are vibrant, and the pixel density doesn't show any pixelation.
This is the 44mm version too. It's worth noting that the 40mm model is also 360x360, so it does have a higher pixel density.
Tizen
Tizen picks up the slack left by Wear OS. I was always skeptical about Google's non-Android smartwatch efforts, because of a lack of Google services. It's actually pretty great though, and it's the first round smartwatch I've used that doesn't feel like a square peg in a round hole.
The app selection screen displays icons in a circle, and you can scroll through them using the Touch Bezel. Samsung extended the touch area beyond the screen, letting you use the bezel for just that. You'll find multiple pages of app icons, as you can see from the three dots in the image above.
It's all pretty straightforward, although I found that it can get confusing to remember where an app is located. It's really not something that I access very much, so it's not a muscle memory thing like it would be on a smartphone.
Samsung does have its own app store, something that's important in making this work with all Android devices, rather than just Samsung phones. Keep in mind that you will have to install some Samsung software on a non-Samsung device. It has a pretty wide range of apps too, which kind of surprised me. If you want GPS, there's no Google Maps, but you can use HERE Maps.
I'll also note that the app selection isn't quite as wide as Wear OS. I'm OK with that though. It has the apps that I need on a smartwatch.
And of course, you get Samsung Pay. Here's the bad news though. It's lacking the best feature of Samsung Pay, which is the ability for it to work with magnetic strip terminals. Unfortunately, this only works with NFC.
One thing that I found strange about Samsung's smartwatch implementation is that it doesn't automatically turn on notifications for new apps. I grew to appreciate this though, not getting slammed with notifications whenever Best Buy is having a sale or when OneDrive wants to tell me that it's uploading a file. Notifications should be opt in, rather than opt out.
What really impressed me about Samsung's OS though is just how fluid everything feels. The animations are smooth, things feel snappy, and there's even a little "Good morning" animation when you first take it off the charger when you wake up.
This isn't the feeling that I get with Wear OS, which is often inconsistent and wonky. I'm always impressed with Wear OS hardware from companies like Fossil, but on the software side, it always feels like it's lacking.
Performance and battery life
Both performance and battery life are another reason why I love the Samsung Galaxy Watch Active2. It uses a 1.15GHz dual-core Samsung Exynos 9110, so it's not using an off-the-shelf Qualcomm part. And let's not forget that Wear OS smartwatches have been using what's essentially the same chip since the platform was introduced in 2014.
No, really. The first Android Wear smartwatches shipped with a Snapdragon 400, a chipset made for lower mid-tier smartphones. It was a quad-core ARM Cortex-A7 chip, as was Qualcomm's first wearable chipset, the Snapdragon Wear 2100. The current generation, the Snapdragon Wear 3100, is also Cortex-A7. There have been some minor improvements over that time, but the architecture remains the same.
The Exynos 9110 is Cortex-A53, a massive performance improvement over Cortex-A7. This is the chip that Qualcomm should have made, frankly, a while ago. It's also 64-bit, while the Snapdragon Wear 3100 is still 32-bit.
As I mentioned above, everything on the Galaxy Watch Active2 just feels smooth, and I kind of love it.
Battery life didn't disappoint either. I found it to be on par with an Apple Watch, which is really saying something. You can easily stretch it to two days if you want, although I just charge it overnight.
Conclusion
As I said right in the title, this is what Wear OS should be. If only Google and Qualcomm put as much into Wear OS and Snapdragon Wear as Samsung did into Tizen and Exynos, the Android smartwatch ecosystem would be a better place. But luckily, we do have Samsung for that.
Not only do I enjoy the software, but I love the hardware. This is a sexy smartwatch, with a minimal aluminum chassis and a stunning curved glass Super AMOLED display. And if you want to go for something that's even sexier, go for the shiny stainless steel model and make use of cellular connectivity and double the RAM.
My two main issues are that the app selection isn't quite as wide as that of Wear OS, and that Samsung Pay doesn't support Magnetic Stripe Terminal. Seriously, that's the best part of Samsung Pay in general, and with Samsung phones, it's enough to make me comfortable with leaving my wallet at home. If it was on the watch, I'd be able to do the same with another Android phone.
I think that the Samsung Galaxy Watch Active2 is a solid buy. If you're looking for a smartwatch to use with an Android phone, this is the one to get.

This is the Samsung Galaxy S20, available starting March 6th
As expected, Samsung took the wraps of its latest series of flagships. The devices are all from the S series line-up and are named S20. Why the jump from 10 to 20? Well, Samsung wanted to signify the news decade, that starts with the year 2020, and hence the change in nomenclature order.
Let us talk about the devices now.
The S20 will come in three variants, the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+ and Galaxy S20 Ultra, with a select group of features increasing in that very order. All three devices are 5G enabled. The Galaxy S20+ and Galaxy S20 Ultra are the first devices able to power new mobile experiences that take advantage of both sub-6 and mm Wave. The Galaxy S20 supports sub-6. All three devices are capable of delivering non-standalone and standalone 5G capabilities.
In terms of display, all devices feature a 120Hz Quad HD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2XInfinity-O Display. Its the size that changes. The Galaxy S20 has a 6.2 inch screen with the S20+ and S20 Ultra featuring 6.7 and 6.9 inch displays respectively. Under the hood, all three phones feature LPDDR5 RAMs. The S20 Ultra gets a 16 GB RAM option while the other two get a maximum capacity of upto 12 GB.
youtube
One of the biggest changes in Galaxy S20 from its predecessors is the entire camera architecture. The Galaxy S20 series introduces a brand-new camera architecture that combines AI with Samsung’s largest image sensor yet for stunning image quality. With a larger image sensor available on the Galaxy S20 series, camera resolution is significantly increased, for more detailed images with added flexibility for editing, cropping, and zooming.
S20 and S20+ have a 64MP camera. S20 Ultra has 108MP camera. Another benefit is that the larger sensors take in more light, so you get rich image quality even in low light situations. Of course practical life scenarios can only be tested once we get the phone in flesh. The S20 Ultra takes things a step further with the option to shift dynamically between a high resolution 108MP mode and a 12MP mode, thanks to nona-binning technology which combines nine pixels into one at the sensor level.
An interesting new capability that the Galaxy S20 camera possesses, is ‘Single Take’. What it basically does, is capture different versions of the moment you are trying to capture. Once selected, it will capture it in video, boomerang, photographs and what not. Another standout feature is 8K video capturing, making Samsung among the first to offer 8K capturing on a mobile phone. You can then stream this seamlessly to Samsung TVs or take 8K screenshots using the S20.
youtube
The Galaxy S20 series comes with a 25W fast charger, while the S20 Ultra supports 45W Super Fast charging as well. The entire series is equipped with following storage as standard (128GB for S20; 128GB, 256GB and 512GB for Galaxy S20+ and S20 Ultra).
All the devices in the line-up feature Samsung’s Infinity O display, which is a near bezel-less, full-frontal screen. The phones will be available Starting March 6, 2020, in following colors:
Galaxy S20: Cosmic Grey, Cloud Blue, Cloud Pink
Galaxy S20+: Cosmic Grey, Cloud Blue, Cosmic Black
Galaxy S20 Ultra: Cosmic Grey, Cosmic Black
In terms of pricing, the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+ and Galaxy S20 Ultra start at $999, $1,199 and $1,399, respectively. Clearly, Samsung feels that consumers are still willing to pay top dollars for premium flagships. Based on the specs that we see, the phones do deserve that price.
