two days after i killed myself
the day after i killed myself, i had no regrets. i was finally free—no more of that crushing weight, no more dark water filling my lungs until i was sure i’d suffocate. i didn’t have to think to myself, one more day. just try to survive one more day because i had no days left. it was over. i didn’t have to hurt anyone ever again. my family wouldn’t have to worry anymore now that i was gone. selfishly, i was relieved that i would never have to face them after what i’d done. i didn’t want to see how it hurt them. i didn’t want to know.
but i saw. from my place in death, i saw what i had done, the damage i caused. it was irreparable. my mother barely got out of bed. our dog barked and whined, begging for her attention, her love, asking where i had gone, but when she never responded, the dog simply climbed into bed and lay in silence with her. my cat, once confined to my room, now roamed the house as he howled, calling out to me, a living, breathing reminder of the daughter my mother lost and the love i had for cats.
my father, on the other hand, drowned himself in his work. he logged up to a hundred hours a week, only leaving himself enough time to miss me when he returned home at night to see my empty bedroom, the lights all switched off, the door cracked slightly open the way it always was when i lived there, eternally unchanging. he had begun to adjust the thermostat from his phone instead of passing by my doorway to do it manually. he didn’t want to think about me and what i left behind more often than necessary.
my little sister, who was only sixteen, still traveled between our parents’ houses. when she was at our dad’s, she kept the door to my bedroom from our shared bathroom tightly closed. she locked it when she showered, and sometimes expected me to burst into her room and scold her for leaving it locked after she was done. but i never did, and she eventually stopped unlocking it.
at our mom’s, she did her best to avoid walking down the hallway that led to my room and the bathroom unless she needed to pee. my door was always closed now, and my cat never seemed to figure out why. he would sit in front of it and cry, wailing for me to let him in, unaware that i was not home and i never would be again. my sister cared for him on my behalf, holding him when he cried in the middle of the night, feeding him when he purred and begged for food. he was how she honored me in my death. he was how she showed that she had loved me.
my older sister didn’t live at home anymore, but she felt the loss, too. when she lay in her bed, she sometimes caught herself staring at the candle i made for her in my pharmacy class and began to cry. she couldn’t bring herself to light it, unwilling to let a flame melt away something i had given her. when she felt strong enough, she often visited my social media pages and scrolled through my posts, remembering how i’d ask her opinion of my photos and whether i should post them. she always encouraged me to post them, no matter how other people may react. it was my page and she wanted me to share whatever i felt like sharing. now that i was gone, she was thankful for that.
my boyfriend was surprised by the news. at first, he thought it was a joke, something i’d orchestrated to get a reaction out of him—a sick prank. but he eventually realized that it wasn’t a cruel joke i’d been playing. he still went over to my house, sat on my bed, looked at the rumpled sheets and flattened pillows where we used to sleep together. he thought about how i would always sling one arm and one leg over him when we slept, like a koala hugging a tree, and i could see the ache i had put inside of him.
sometimes he would log onto his computer to play his favorite video game and see the minecraft logo, forced to remember how i made him play it with me the night after our first date when i panicked and made him go home. he remembered the feeling of his arm around my waist in the movie theater as we watched spider-man, of my hand in his while we walked through cedar point, of my skin against his the first time we had sex. he remembered the sound of my heartbeat whenever he rested his head on my chest, the smell of my perfume that he liked to spray on himself, the sound of my laugh when he said something particularly stupid. he couldn’t stop remembering. sometimes i wished he could forget, if only it would stop him from hurting so badly.
the day after i killed myself, i had no regrets—i was proud of myself for my success, relieved i had finally freed everyone from my web of misery and pain—but the day after that, i did.
two days after i killed myself, i regretted it. i wanted to go back. i wanted to push my hands through the earth i’d been buried in, my fingernails caked with dirt, and crawl home to the family i’d left behind. i wanted to wrap them in my arms, tell them i was sorry, promise them i would never hurt them that way again—but i couldn’t. i was dead.
two days after i killed myself, i regretted it more than i ever thought i was capable of.

letter writing angst? any aoex character is fine :)
I went Yukio&Rin, I hope that's okay :) Day 5.
Dear Rin,
She told me to do this so that I didn't 'regress' which was just her way of trying to sound clinical. I don't know why she thinks I'll listen to that sort of talk and not her.
I found it offensive. I don't know why. Maybe because it was about you and that was never how you spoke? You joked and chided and were always so damn blunt. God, you drove me crazy with your bluntness. Dad had nothing on you.
She told me to do this, so I'm going to do it, but I don't think it'll make anything better. It's not like you're actually here. I don't know where you are -- I haven't believed in heaven since I was a bruised child, but I think you deserve it. I hope dad's with you, and I hope you're both making all the dumb jokes you possibly can. Send me a few if you can? I'm going to need some laughs.
All I really know is you aren't here, and I am. Writing to you...
Did I ever tell you about that? When we were young, and you didn't know about the Exorcist world, I would write you letters about what had happened. About all the things I was learning and the scary demons I'd encountered. It helped me not spill the beans when we were especially young, but it also reminded me of all the things I wanted to tell you about someday. I'd completely forgotten about that. Funny what you'll remember, isn't it?
Anyway... this feels like that. No matter what I write in this notebook, you'll never actually see it. These words are for me.
You were never much for reading anyway.
Day 17.
Dear Rin,
The silence is so loud. I never realized how much silence there was until you weren't around anymore. It's grating, the silence. I keep straining my ears for any sound of you. You were always so loud in everything you did. You'd stomp through the house without being angry, you just didn't see a point in being quiet. You'd bang open cabinets, slam shut drawers, clang around utensils, and you were always talking. Did you realize that you were never silent? When you weren't holding a conversation with a person, you were talking to whatever object was close to you. You'd narrate your activities to it or just hum so the silence wasn't there.
I've taken to playing music. I've had to create a new playlist solely to fill the silence. Just instrumental doesn't quite cut it. I miss the murmur of voices. There was a song you used to sing all the time, and I can't remember the lyrics.
I wish I could hear you singing it again. Maybe if I could resolve that melody, I could be okay in the quiet.
Day 39.
Dear Rin,
Sometimes it feels like everyone's still waiting for you to appear, but they're just kind of stuck with me. I'll walk somewhere and see two seats. I automatically head towards them just to arrive and...
Why did I go for two when there's just one?
And it's the worst with Kuro. I'll come home, and he'll perk up like the sun's just risen and bounce around until he realizes... it's just me. It's only ever just me. Then he sits by the door and I just... every door slam, every footstep in the hall, every distant laugh... every sound makes him think it's you, but it's not, and I can't figure out how to tell him it'll never be you.
I'm not enough. I'm not the footsteps he's listening for. If he didn't associate me with you, I don't think he'd even notice that I was around.
I don't blame him.
Day 73.
Dear Rin,
I thought about you last night. It was over such a stupid thing, too.
Remember the Satos? The wedding dad officiated, where everyone but the groom got 'sloshed?' I hadn't thought about that disaster of a wedding in decades. Then, for absolutely no reason, Tsubaki brought in a bottle of the exact same sake dad found on the bride and I just...
Do you remember how many empty bottles of the stuff we found? They were clinking around everywhere for weeks. It became a game. You found the last one, and you gloated about it for weeks. It was a stupid bottle, and you kept it on your desk for years like a grand trophy.
I wonder what happened to that bottle.
Day 183.
Dear Rin,
It’s been half a year of letters and I still don’t think it’s helping. Half a year since I started writing to you, and I’ve filled three and a half notebooks. I don’t think I’ve written this much since school. Did I talk to you this much when you were here? I feel like I spent most of the time letting you do all the talking.
There were so many things I should have said and they just… what’s the point in putting them down in ink? You hated reading. The words always swam when you tried to read, and you’d just end up having me read it to you. I should be recording these. That would have been the best way to communicate with you. You’d always rather a phone call over a text.
My phone never rings anymore.
I don’t know if I want to keep doing this.
Day 1448.
Dear Rin,
I found this yesterday and spent the better part of the day reading over the letters again.
I… It’s been years, but there are still moments when I can’t breathe. I woke up the other night and for a moment, I couldn’t remember your laugh. It terrified me.
What if I forget it all one day? I know that’s a risk of growing old, forgetting — and god I wished you had grown old with me. I know… we were never going to grow old together, but it was never supposed to be like this. I was supposed to be the one comforting you.
I don’t want to sound like it hasn’t gotten easier, because it has. There are days when the thoughts of you only bring smiles, or I’ll see some silly something and think about you and I’ll leave feeling lighter.
But the bad days… they still hurt so much, and even that makes me think of you. It was like you had some kind of sixth sense about me. The moment I’d start to cry you’d appear and, god I miss your hugs. I always complained, but now I’d give anything for one more hug.
I don’t know why I’m even writing this. You’re still not going to read it.
I guess... I just want you to know I love you. I’m healing, but I’d still give up all my ‘growth’ to hear you laugh or watch you smile.
I don’t think it’s possible to stop missing you. Love, Yukio

I’m Cold
“I'm cold"
"And?"
"Can't you give me your jacket or something?"
"Can't you accept my proposal and marry me already?"
In which Prince Donghyuck's parents are forcing him to get married and he decided to propose to the first girl he sees to shut his parents up
Genre: Prince!Lee Donghyuck x Maid!Reader, Angst, Fluff, Arranged Marriage (kinda), Slowburn
Warnings: Curse words, Suggestive (I'll add more if there are)
Notes: Chapter 6 of Im Cold. I’m pretty excited for this one hehe
WORD COUNT:  2.7k
Prev / Chapter 6 / Next
Tumblr media
"No," Donghyuck says and crosses his arms, shooting a glare on Prince Lucas's present, that you were happily taking a bite out of. Donghyuck won't admit it but at some point, out of all the Princes you seemed to have gotten closer to Lucas, Donghyuck moves to glare this time at Lucas who was laughing at how cute you ate the donut, helping you brush the sugar on your lips, making you flinch at the touch, Donghyuck won't admit (he absolutely refuses to "It lowers my self-esteem" he once says) but throughout your fake engagement, out of all his group of friends, Why? Why must it be the most flirtiest Prince? Renjun would be the most proper out of everyone and be at a safe distance as a way to be polite, you could've been friends with him, Jeno and Jaemin would probably treat you like a sister and help you with adjusting to this life, you could've been friends with them, Chenle would ask you questions about being Prince Donghyuck's Fiance and he is sure that you and Chenle would be inseparable, you could've been friends with him, Jisung is a sweet shy boy and Donghyuck ninety-nine percent (only because its impossible to be one hundred percent) sure that Jisung would just watch from afar, why not him? but no! you became friends with flirty, loud, annoying, touchy, Prince Lucas
Donghyuck glared at Lucas and grabbed his arm "Prince Lucas" Donghyuck warns and Lucas grins, knowing full well that Donghyuck only calls people by titles when he is pissed
"Oh relax," he pulls away "I won't steal her from you," He bows at you and Donghyuck "I'm engaged"
Donghyuck nods and notices how you looked down with your tongue fiddling with something in your mouth, he recognizes it, after having many lunch and breakfast dates these past couple dates, he takes a glass of water and offered it to you while he spoke "Ah, yes and that is how an engaged man acts" he gently rubs your back to help you while you drank your water
"Oh please," Lucas settles on the sofa beside you, no longer standing beside Donghyuck, only to get flicked on the forehead by the latter "Ow!"
"Stay away from my girl, if you still wish to keep your hair"
Lucas laughs and moves to sit a bit farther from You "You're Fiance been always this clingy and protective?"
You take another bite of the donut before answering, red painting your cheeks from the words that left the Prince's lips, he was taking it too seriously only to be fake engaged to me, thinking about it, Back then, with the perverted man, the one who wanted to take your grandparents home, the time you were so stressed that he fed you, even when the two of you are out in public that boy always has to have one limb attached to you. "Yeah, he does that"
"You're one to talk" Someone joined, hitting Prince Lucas upside the head "and he is right you know, stop flirting"
You covered your mouth shocked at the sight, surprised that somebody would hit a royal
"Love, that hurts" Prince Lucas pouts, and whines, grabbing her hand "I wasn't flirting"
She rolls her eyes and smiles sweetly at you "You must be Y/n" She bows "It's a pleasure to finally meet Prince Donghyuck's bride be" she grins and you bow
Donghyuck leans in to whisper "Lucas's Fiance, Yeonli" he informs wrapping his arm protectively over your shoulder "She and Lucas act more alike than you think so I apologize on behalf of these two idiots, I call my friends"
You couldn't help but blush at the proximity, thankfully, he pulled away, keeping his arms around your shoulder to keep you at his side
Just then Yuta walks in and Dongyuck happily exclaimed "Hyung! You're here!" He turns his head as Yuta bows in front of everyone "Please tell me The other's are here"
Yuta nods "Yes, Prince Jaemin, Prince Jisung and Prince Chenle and Company" He motions to the door, and just like that a very excited Prince Chenle walked in followed by three girls then Prince Jisung and Prince Jaemin
"Y/n Noona!" Chenle called excitedly and stood in front of you taking your hand to kiss the knuckles "You look beautiful, It's nice to see you again" he catches Donghyuck's eyes and raises his hands in defense "I'm not flirting"
Donghyuck hums and looks at his younger friend, who playfully winked at you, before moving to Yeonli and kissing her knuckles as a greeting
You tugged on Donghyuck's sleeve to show him the oncoming guests "Great them, they're your guests" You informed, once you turn to him your breathing stilled this boy in front of you was close, too close, he was slightly slouching so even you (who was sitting up straight) your eyes were aligned with his nose, you could see at how his lips parted slightly to puff air out, you couldn't look away from his lips. You have to look away, now!
You looked back to the guests, who, thankfully, Donghyuck's attention was still on the guests, "Company?" asked one of the girls, her heels clicking as she crosses her arms over her dress "is that what we are now? Company?"
Jaemin hums "Well none of you are married to the royal family yet, so" He shrugs "Yes, Princes" he motions to himself then at them "And Company"
"Na Jaemin" the other girl, her brown hair tied in a half ponytail, she looked annoyed and immediately Jaemin walks to her and holds her hand
"Aww heart, I didn't mean it like that"
"What for?" Donghyuck says once he looks at you "They seem to be doing well, walking by themselves"
You looked at him unamused, "Donghyuck" you stood up and tugged on his arm so he'll follow you, to stand and greet the guests "It's polite"
He groans but follows nonetheless, bowing in front of the newcomers, his hand intertwined with yours while you bowed. Raising your head, you stared at the shocked faces of the newcomers while they stared at you and Donghyuck
Prince Jisung walks to Prince Donghyuck and placed his hand on his forehead while looking at Yuta, who watches in amusement "Hyung is he sick?" Doghyuck growls and swats the younger hands away
Prince Jaemin moves to hold your free hand while nodding "I don't know how, but" he leans to kiss your knuckles and smirks "When did Donghyuck become such an obedient dog?"
"Na Jaemin!" Donghyuck yells, letting go of your hand to chase after the boy who was running away
The girls laugh, While Prince Jisung calls for Prince Lucas and Chenle to help him make sure that Prince Donghyuck won't kill Prince Jaemin, while Chenle helps by yelling words of encouragement "Run Jaemin Hyung, Donghyuck will tear you to shreds"
You flinched, "wait, no" you gripped and tried to reach out for Donghyuck "Donghyuck, no, don't do-" you yelped in surprises once one of the girls hugged you
"Eunnie" she smiles and kept you close "You're really pretty, my name Soonim"
"Nice to meet you" You smile and bowed at her and everyone else
"Let the boys play, they only get to see each other once a while" One answers and pries Soonim off you "Excuse her, she and Prince Chenle match each other energy, I'm Hiyoung, I'm-"
You cut her off with a smile "Prince Jaemin's bride be" you bowed "It is nice to finally meet you"
"Soonim is right Eunnie," one spoke up and held your hands, in hers as she smiles "You're really beautiful" pink tints your cheeks in embarassment at the complement
"Aera don't overwhelm her," Hiyoung says and laughs at the sight of you bowing in front of princess Aera
She keeps you still "Please, Y/n, don't be so polite to us"
Yeonli nods and motions to everyone "We're all friends here" she says and laughs, you couldn't help but laugh too
Donghuck who heard you yelp, slowed down from chasing Jaemin around so that Jisung and Lucas can finally hold him down, he looks at you to see if you are ok, only to see you giggling with the other girls, and he smiles, you always looked so much prettier when you smile
"You're drooling" Chenle notes and pretended to wipe the saliva from the corner of his mouth, making the Prince look away and readjust his suit "You're whipped for Y/n aren't you? You stopped chasing Jeamin Hyung for her~"
"What?"
Lucas chuckles and pats his friends back "No need to be shy, there's nothing wrong with being in love with your fiance"
Tumblr media
Donghyuck wasn't listening to a word, Prince Renjun was saying, the moment the latter opened his mouth, Donghyuck decided to shut him out, instead of paying attention to him his eyes drifted around the snacks and he decided at that moment guessing how much sugar each sweet contained was much more entertaining then what Renjun was talking about 'till he heard you laugh
His eyes lifted to see you laughing at something Princess Haegyoung said, he looks at the princess, then at Mark, he hums, the two of them are perfect for each other, both seated in a way that their feet would brush. hands placed on their laps as if holding each others hands from afar. Donghyuck looked at you again, you were listening to stories and nodding along, you seemed to be getting along with them well
Donghyuck's eyes traveled to what you were wearing, glasses, the wrap dress he picked out for you when you both went shopping, your neck adorned with the gardenia flower necklace he got for you, his eyes trailed lower and there it was, he bought you one of your own but you're wearing his watch around your wrist, it was loose, going up your arm with every movement, he places his hand on his watchless wrist, out of habit, yeah, you definitely have his watch.
The next thing he noticed about you was the way you pushed the glasses up against your nose, turning to the side to speak to Princess Mison, Renjun's Fiance, Donghyuck snorts, it seemed typical for Renjun to give her a clip with the letter R on it, but she seemed to enjoy it so who is he to judge? Donghyuck puts his attention back to you to see your glasses from the side, against the light, and there it was, fingerprints. He tries, he really did, but you looked adorable with the way you didn't notice the fingerprints from how invested you listened to the stories, he shifts in his seat
Mark stopped listening, surely there was something else more fascinating than Renjun's story, he looks at his fiance, who was happily telling a story, oh how he loved Haegyoung the way she would smile and laugh. His eyes drifted over to you, If he didn't know any better by the way you sat, spoke, and acted, the stories the younger would tell about, Mark could've passed you and Donghyuck off as he perfect couple except he did know better, he knows this all fake, you and Hyuck were doing this to benefit yourselves
The next thing Mark saw made him look twice, it was Donghyuck's watch, but it couldn't be, that's one of Donghyuck's prized accessories, his ex-girlfriends weren't allowed to touch it, his own friends aren't permitted to borrow that watch but you have it? you're wearing it? Mark looks at Donghyuck to see he too was paying attention to you, and that he wasn't wearing his watch, he was confused at what was going on 'till he saw Donghyuck smile, it was a smile that he tried to hide so Mark turns his head to see you there just talking, did Donghyuck just smiled at the sight of you? He watched as The prince reached out to tap you and ask for your glasses, taking it off, you handed it to the Prince who cleaned the glass before wearing it, making a face and then taking it off again to hand it back to you
Mark smirked, that was probably the most affectionate Donghyuck ever was in his life to someone else. Mark was right, this was definitely more interesting than whatever Renjun was talking about.
Renjun wasn't blind it was obvious that Donghyuck was too busy looking at his Fiance to listen to what he is saying and Mark was just being a pain in the ass, he smiles at the ones who were listening and placed his finger against his lips to keep everyone else quiet
"And that was how we thought our dog laid an egg" Renjun announced, everyone looked at him in shock but Mark and Donghyuck whipped their head
"What the fuck?"
"Wait what?"
Tumblr media
You woke up with a soft knock on your door, slowly, reluctantly pulled yourself out of bed, in nothing but a pair of oversized shirt and pajama shorts you slowly opened the door, to be greeted with a smiling Princess Mison and Lady Chunae, you bowed your head
They swat you to stop you from bowing "We're all friends, Y/n" Lady Chunae starts, and holds your hand in hers "Don't address us by our titles, ok?" Princess Mison was more than happy to agree on
You nod, promising to try and then grin tugging on your hand so that you'll follow them "Come with us" Chunae, Prince Jeno's Girlfriend, pulls you out of the warmth of your own room
"wait but I'm in my pajamas" You reasoned, trying to get out of her grip to change atleast
Making Princess Mison, Prince Renjun's Girlfriend, laugh "We all are" She motions to what they were wearing "Please? Girl's night?" She pouts and you coo at how cute she was "We all want you there" She tries again  before you sighed and nodded, she perks up "Really?" She happily leads you out into the garden, the chill of the night pricking your skin
Upon arrival you spot the rest of the girls, sitting on the chairs or the floor of the patio and you blink at the sight, all of them ere still in there pajamas, cups of tea on the table and multiple pillows everywhere
"Eunnie!" Sooni happily calls and waves you over, following everyone (mostly Chunae  who dragged you to sit on the floor with her) "You're here, have some tea"
Doyoung comes out of the corner, you didn't even notice he was there 'till he poured you a cup, raising an eyebrow at him he smiles "You'll get used to this" he assures and hand you the cup "They like having midnight talk sessions"
You looked ahead to see them happily conversing, you looked down at your hand, you weren't happy with yourself, now that your being honest. These people were really loved by their Princes and are really in a relationship with the Princes, and you are nothing but a fake
"Eunnie" Aera calls after she notice you glaring at your cup "We hope we aren't bothering you, we really just wanted to meet you and become close with you"
You looked at her and smiled apologeically "Sorry, I didn't mean to-"
Yeonli nods and sits on the floor infront of you "Will you be my friend?" she asks and you nod making the rest also ask for your hand in friendship and Aera giggles "Eunnie looks scared" you blushed at her words making Yeonli tug on her hair playfully "Please you almost practically fainted when we dragged you here the first time"
The group bursts into laughter and you smiled, feeling relieved just as Hiyoung places her hand on your shoulder as Yeonli and Aeri bickered "Let them yell at each other, it'll be hilarious" she assured just when you were about to break them apart
Soomin takes a sip of her tea before she leans forward towards you "Eunnie, can you tell us stories about you and Prince Donghyuck?"
You blinked, "what?" you tilted your head to see all of them facing you and waiting for you to tell your story "But-"
"Don't worry, we'll tell our stories too, so" Soomin pouts and clasps her hands "please?"

Louisiana Fever (Bucky Barnes x GN!Reader)
Request: Hi! Since your ask are open could I have a imagine with bucky where him and his boyfriend (if you’re uncomfortable with male reader could you make it gender neutral pls?) are at the Wilson’s party and they talk about moving here and maybe getting a dog? Something really sweet and fluffy please? I’m having a hard time and need a bit of softness! Thanks you! (by @pastel-boy-sungjae), [Marvel-Masterlist]
Summary: A forever changing decision was made between Bucky & you. Whatever the future held for you, you could not wait to finally start somewhere new.
Words: 1,876 [Are you proud of me?]
Warnings: language, humor, fluff, short & sweet, no pronouns used, TFATWS spoilers, REQUESTS ARE OPEN!
If you like my work & wanna support me: a coffee would be highly appreciated ❤
Louisiana. Home of the Wilson family. A pier alongside the turquoise sea which created comforting tunes to soothe your ears. The slight breeze that tickled your skin in the most pleasurable way possible. A peaceful place to stay & feel safe, no matter the alarming threats menacing this universe daily. Here, it appeared to be as calm as ever. Like a bubble enveloping the area here, along with its people. A dome to prevent jeopardy from taking over.
The party was hosted by Sam, assisted by his younger sister Sarah. They invited Bucky & in addition to that, he invited you. You were his partner & if he attended a get-together then he only ever did with you right by his side. At first, you disliked the idea of inserting yourself where you believed you were not wanted. Luckily, your boyfriend had some reassuring pep talks up his sleeve that convinced you to tag along.
A flight was booked & before you even knew it, Sam hugged you close to his body as he greeted you. Bucky had informed him that you would come along. To his best friend, that was a given. There was no Bucky without you & no you without Bucky. Hence why he did not explicitly say that he obviously invited you as well.
It was the first time you were introduced to Sam’s family & his friends living nearby. The locals were more than welcoming & helpful even though you were complete strangers. Plainly stated, you fell in love with this place. The atmosphere was incomparable, like nothing you had ever encountered. This new, unfamiliar feeling washed through your body & there was only one word that could come close to describing it. Home. Not Bucky’s apartment where you had moved into a while ago. This strange yet somehow well-known place triggered emotions in you that you thought did not exist. You wondered if Bucky reacted in a similar way as you walked down the pier, hands intertwined, gazing out to the endless blue horizon. Where one hue kissed the other in an almost seamless way. Connecting yet separating sea from sky. A stunning sight that caught your plenary attention. You imagined yourself spending hours, simply watching the sun rise during the chill hours of the morning & set during the warm hours of the evening. The light not only coloring the sky in reds & purples but that same tone reflecting in the waves of the water which were caused by the wind.
“Hey, lovebirds! A little help here!” a familiar voice echoed in your ears & you found yourself turning around as you searched for the source of it.
“We’ll be right there, Sam.” you yelled over the distance so he could hear you clearly.
“He does have awful timing.” Bucky joked, wrapping an arm over your shoulders. You giggled & silently agreed with him though both of you were aware that you did not mind one bit.
Preparations were almost done, you simply assisted with the last finishing touches. They really went out of their way to create a homely aura for everyone to enjoy. Bucky & you occupied one of the many wooden tables, sitting next to Sam, Sarah & her kids. You guys had so much fun & could barely contain your laughter. Those people were not just friends. They were family. Blood related or not, the feeling they gave you counted at the end of the day.
The barbeque was delicious, as were the many options of desserts. One of them which you brought along. Bucky whined about a cake & who were you to deny him something you loved too? And by the fast pace it was gone, you assumed the others relished it just as much.
Food was long forgotten but the chatter kept the party alive. In the lifestyle you found yourself in, it was a rare sight to be surrounded by so much happiness & contentment. Usually, people radiated desperation & fear. Here, it was as if nothing bad existed. Only the smiles & sparkles in people’s eyes as they talked about something they were passionate about or the most random topic that came to mind. It did not matter. Acceptance was capitalized & it was a gift to experience it. With your boyfriend, with your best friend. With soon-to-be friends, you hoped.
“…so they aren’t here today ‘cause they’re currently movin’ out.” Sam pointed to the house that sat right next to his. Your eyes widened a little at this statement.
“It’s up for sale then?” you questioned, referring to the cottage that definitely needed some hours of dedicated work but appeared to be worth it underneath its surface.
“Yeah, it is. Still looking for a new owner.” Sam nodded. A smirk spread onto your face & you nudged Bucky with your elbow to gain his attention. With raised eyebrows, he turned his head so your eyes were locking.
“Okay. What’s going on in that head of yours?” Bucky chuckled as he noticed the enthusiastic look you wore. Sam observed your interaction but decided to stay silent for the time being.
“We could buy it, right?” you suggested, rambling so your words blurred together & it was hard to make out what you said.
“The house?” it took him a couple of seconds before he answered your question with another one. Simply because he was uncertain if you were joking or if you were serious.
“No, a trip to Disneyland. Of course the house.” you replied with a slight sarcastic tone.
“You wanna move here?” Bucky asked once again to ensure that he understood correctly.
“Don’t you? I mean, it’s perfect for us, Buck. The people here are lovely & we’ve got Sam here.” you pointed out, trying to list as many positive aspects as necessary to convince him.
“Wait, wait, wait.” Sam chimed in & you directed your attention to him. “Does that mean robot-boy will be my neighbor?” he pointed his finger at Bucky with fake disgust that had you laughing.
“That would annoy you, wouldn’t it?” Bucky inquired with a sly smile.
“Totally.” Sam countered, now completely ignoring that it was your idea in the first place. The two of them were bickering like children & it was a useless attempt to stop them.
“Perfect, we’ll buy it then.” your boyfriend’s statement had you shocked but equally excited.
“Really?” you could not help but ask.
“Really.” Bucky assured you & placed a short kiss on your lips.
“Why did I even say anything?” Sam shook his head, mumbling those words so nobody heard. Deep down, he had to admit that the could imagine it to be pleasant to have you two with him at all times. Though he would never say that out loud.
“We’re gonna move to Louisiana.” you exclaimed, throwing your arms around Bucky’s neck to hug him tightly. Your future could finally begin here. Something told you that it was the right decision. Sam only had to pull some strings & the deal was almost as good as yours.
A few hours ticked by, the sun had already started setting & Bucky suggested to watch the remaining minutes down by the dock. Your back rested against his chest, his arms securely wrapped around your waist as you sat in between Bucky’s legs. Savoring the last sunbeams that shone into your face & had you squint your eyes in order not to blind you. A comfortable silence settled around you. The sound of the sea the only discernible noise amongst the calm of the evening. But every quiet had to end eventually. And it was you who broke it, voicing a thought that had been playing in the back of your mind ever since you agreed on moving here.
“Hey, what about a dog?” your question caught him off guard & he barely had time to prepare a reply.
“Huh?” was all he could muster & you giggled at his perplexity.
“A dog. When we move here. Don’t you think this is a perfect place for a dog?” you turned in his arms so you could hold eye contact.
“We’ve already got Sam.” Bucky scoffed & you rolled your eyes annoyingly at him.
“I’m being serious, Buck.” & you truly were. Ever since you could remember, you promised yourself that you would adopt a dog if the chance was given. With a house this size, it would be a waste to not fulfill your dream. You watched Bucky sigh but the glint in his eyes showed you that he contemplated your thought.
“We’re not getting a Chihuahua.” he made clear before you got even crazier ideas.
“What’s wrong with a Chihuahua?” your dumbfounded expression had him laughing.
“They’re outta the question.” he stated & left no room to argue.
“Fine.” you breathed out with an exaggerated sigh. “A Corgi?”
“Why?” you did not understand why you had to reason with him but you had to think fast to provide a reasonable explanation.
“Because they’re cute.” maybe not the smartest of replies but if you worked your pleading expression then you should win.
“You say that about every single dog. That’s not a valuable point.” Bucky called you out & earned a pout from you.
“But it’s very much true.” a short pause allowed you to gather your thoughts once more. “Besides, they remind me of you.”
“Do I even wanna know?” Bucky breathed out & threw his head back to visualize how done he was with you in this moment. You, of course, were aware that it was only him teasing you.
“No, but that was, in fact, a very valuable point & speaks for getting a Corgi.” a proud smirk made its way onto your face.
“You’re lucky I love you.” his ocean blue eyes flickered between yours. You moved forward & pressed a tender kiss on his cheek. “But I’m the one choosing the name.” he decided.
“No way.” you shook your head frantically. “We’ll end up with a dog called Dog then.” you almost whined.
“You can’t stop me from giving it a nickname.” he reasoned with that famous smirk of his & you groaned because you knew he was right.
“I don’t like it.” you mumbled after a few moments.
“Alright, no dog then.” Bucky shrugged his shoulders & pretended that it did not matter anyway. But it did. And he really did like the idea of getting a dog.
“NO WAIT!” you were quick to raise your voice & stop him from turning down your plan. “Ugh, can’t we just…I don’t know, pick a cute name together?” you offered him your best puppy dog eyes because he had a hard time resisting you whenever you played that card.
“We could.” Bucky agreed but kept his response short. He waited for you to ascertain what he meant.
“But?” your voice went an octave higher at the end.
“But I’ll still call it Dog. It’s a great nickname.” Bucky praised himself.
“It’s foolish.” you commented & crossed your arms over your chest.
“Do we have a deal or not?” his head tilted to one side, waiting to watch your reaction.
“What do you think?” your eyebrows perked up. “Of course we do!”

Lady and The Tramp - sakusa kiyoomi x reader
well hi! It’s been a while since I wrote one of those, huh?
so obviously the volleyball player you’re gonna fall for today is sakusa kiyoomi
the word count: around 2K
summary: your boyfriend and you go for a winter walk with his dog, and he gets a bit nostalgic.
and let’s go!
The sun shines a little bit different every season of the year. The winter sun is a tad bit more harsh and refreshing that the slow, dripping summer mornings. And as you look at the white, glistening snow, and the cold sun rays shining directly at it, you just have the urge to go out and do something with yourself, don’t you?
Same struggles happened in Sakusa Kiyoomi’s head that very morning when he woke up to a cold apartament drowning in sun rays, causing him to put a hand over his eyes, to cover them from the merciless light.
“Did I forget to turn the heaters on again?” He whined, and cursed his need to open windows before going to sleep each night. Now it was almost impossible for him to get out of the sheets, considering the temperature in his room was way below zero.
He managed to get one arm outside the warm bed and reached for his phone, charging on the side table. A sight of you in his MSBY shirt, sat on a kitchen counter and showing something you just baked, with a proud grin on your face on his wallpaper greeted him, and the widget above your head told him that it was six in the morning.
So he woke up before his alarm? Impressive, given that it was a Saturday and no practice was planned. He had exactly thirty two minutes before his phone would tell him to “get his ass out of bed” and go for a run.
Sighing, he threw the phone away on the mattrace, and wrapping his blanket around him, he went over to the window.
It snowed last night.
Wait, it snowed last night?
Suddenly, he was a little kid inside, because oh gosh, it never snowed these days! It was all looking so nice, everything covered in a white layer, as if it wasn’t the outside of his apartment, but a picture taken from a children’s book.
After he almost jumped from excitement, the adult side of his has taken over. If it snowed, it meant the temperature went below zero. If it went below zero, the sidewalk would be so slippery that running would be almost impossible.
Well, screw it. He wasn’t going to let a tad little detail like that ruin his good mood. And so he went over to each radiator he had and turned it on, then going to bed again and scrolling through his social media until the temperature around was warm enough for him to leave the sheets.
And so it took a couple of hours for him to finally get himself up and going, but it was still fairly early when you knocked on the door of his apartment, and heard some shuffling inside.
“Sit already, would you? Fine, okay, I know you’re excited, but-“ your boyfriend’s voice was cut off by a bark, and he was silent for a second, while on the other side of the door, you were barely holding in your laugh.
“Hey! Behave! No!” he raised his voice ever so slightly, but apparently it worked on the poor dog, because soon enough you saw him, leant against the doorframe with both his hands in his pockets, his pet sitting beside him, although almost jumping from excitement upon seeing someone else.
“Oh, didn’t expect you here today” he said nonchalantly, a smirk forming on his lips, as he knew well that he invited you here himself. You rolled your eyes, and passed him by, leading yourself to his bathroom. “Not even a hello?” he whined jokingly, as you shook your head.
“I was in a public bus, let me go wash my hands” you explained, and he nodded, mentally trying to convince himself that’s just something people do. You’re not doing it just for him.
He followed you to the bathroom and once again stood in the door, looking at you with a happy spark in his eyes.
You looked so in place while just casually standing anywhere in his apartament. Like you belonged there. And he was almost certain you indeed, did belong there. He wouldn’t have you any other place, rather than by his side.
“You should really get a license already” he said, quickly looking down at his nails, so you wouldn’t see him stare.
“Mhm” you agreed silently, wiping your hands “I know” you slowly approached him, firstly playing with the material of his shirt, and after a while, curling his hair on your finger. It required staying on your tippy toes, which he found endearing. “And you, sir, are due for a haircut”
“Am I?” he said, touching his curls himself, but not leaving you to check in the mirror. “Can you do it?”
You giggled.
That was kinda part of the plan, since he absolutely loved hearing you laugh. He wasn’t the most funny person on earth, yet he was motivated to become a full comedian just to hear that genuine chuckle you gave his finest jokes.
„I cant cut your hair, silly” you said, rubbing his temple with one finger as you were still playing with the pitch black curls. “You have to go to a salon”
He shivered theatrically, rolling his eyes at you and walking away towards the kitchen. “And here I thought you loved me” he huffed, making you smile in disbelief.
“You’re being a baby!”
“I’ll ask my sister to do it”
“Your sister lives kinda away, you’re aware of that, right?” you continued, following his steps to the bigger room, where he was sitting on the floor and tying his shoes.
“So? She loves me, she’ll do it”
“She has her own kid to take care of, she doesn’t need a twenty two year old one” you shoot back, remembering the last family reunion you attended with your boyfriend. It was a complete mess, but meeting his parents explained... a whole lot of things about his character.
He really did look like a little kid, reaching for another one of his sneakers, scarf already put half on around his neck, smiling softly, having to pause the process of tying his shoes every time his dog tried to lick his face in excitement. The poorly named Swiss Setter never left your boyfriend’s side whenever he was home, so used to his their very own slow lifestyle.
You knew damn well she was emotionally attached to her owner, and loved him dearly, as you were the one to babysit her whenever Kiyoomi had an out of town game, and the first couple of times she didn’t sleep at all, and neither did you. It required him staying overnight at your place together with the dog for her to understand it’s a safe place.
“Now now, calm down, Lady, at least let me tie my shoes!” he giggled childishly. The first time you ever saw him snuggled up on the couch with the dog, watching some crappy Netflix show, you couldn’t believe your eyes.
THE Kiyoomi Sakusa. On the couch. With a dog.
You soon found out that Lady, because that’s the crappy name the dog so proudly got by, had been one of your boyfriend’s only friends until the time he graduated. She wasn’t exactly a rescue dog, but his older brother brought her home from his former friend’s house, where she didn’t exactly had the best start in life.
Kiyoomi didn’t fall in love at first sight, he needed time to adjust to having a dog in the house, but Lady seemed very fond of him, and weirdly enough, only listened to his commands. (The trainer said it’s about his voice, as it is deep and raspy, when he says something loudly enough, she feels respect towards him).
He was soon in charge of training the dog to be a good pet for a household such as the Sakusas place, a huge, always so elegant and spotless house, where no one is around too often, but frankly, “family friends” came back every other night to drink rosé with his mother, or whisky with his father.
It was to no one’s surprise, that when Kiyoomi moved away and went to college, his porcelain doll of a mother and distant father couldn’t get a hold of the Swiss Setter, who’s manners weren’t so ladylike. The deal was simple, either kiyoomi takes her to his place, or she ends up in a shelter.
And as he loved dogs, and secretly had a heart of a four-year-old, he took her in with himself, and, frankly, let her rule over his at-home life all the time.
She was very well behaved when in public, knew what was on her owner’s mind by the look in his eyes and reacted on the snaps of his fingers, but inside the four walls of his apartment, she could walk all over him, which you found amusing.
Kiyoomi put her on her leash, and rose his eyebrow at you.
“Coming?” he asked, having the door opened for you already. You nodded and left, waiting for him to lock the door behind the three of you.
It was cold outside, but not too cold, and the air was refreshing, even in such a city as Osaka is. Kiyoomi mindlessly tied his pinky with yours, a bit of a hard thing to do in leather gloves, but he was all about the details.
After two years of your relationship, he was perfectly capable of holding your hand just fine, but sentimentally enough opted to hold your pinky instead, as if your romance was fresh once again.
You smiled at the feeling and squeezed his pinky back with yours, You glanced over at him staring at his feet, as you walked towards the park in comfortable silence.
“When do you have the next match, Omi?” you started a casual conversation, and he looked as if you took him out of a trans of sorts.
“Oh, uhm, next Friday” he answered upsentmindedly. You caught him sparing loving glances in Lady’s direction, an indescribable nostalgy painting his face in cold colors.
When you reached the entrance to the huge park, where dogs were allowed off leash, you bent over and made a snowball, the throwing it at his back. He turned around to face you and gave you a look of betrayal.
“You didn’t” he whispered.
“I think I did” you giggled, covering your mouth with your hands, waiting for his next move.
He bit back a smirk, trying to remain stoic as he kneeled down to release Lady off her leash, hiding it in the pocket of his black coat, then picking up snow in his hands and forming a round snowball, directing it right at you.
Lady kept running around the two of you, jumping in excitement, not fully understanding what you’re doing, but happy to be a part of it.
“Hey, ouch!” you laughed, theatrically covering the shoulder it reached. “You didn’t need to spike it!”
There weren’t many people at the park that day, considering the fact that it was first snow, and parents don’t usually bring kids, who want to build snowmen, to a park where dogs are allowed off leash.
“Oh, you wanna see a spike?” a little smile covered his lips, exposing his blushing cheeks, contrasting with the rest of his pale face, and dark curls.
“Try me, pretty boy”
“Aight” he put his hands up in an agreeing gesture “Just don’t whine about the bruises later”
“Same goes to you”
He huffed, getting back as he gathered snow in his hands and rolled it a bit before aiming at you, jumping in place as you tried to “become a harder target to hit”. He shook his head in disbelief.
God, I love that dork, he thought, purposely frowning and posing as if he was about to serve.
Lady kept jumping around him, noticing a round object in his hand.
“This is not for you, dummy” he laughed, but noticing her excitement, excitement that he didn’t get to see a lot recently, since she was visibly getting older, and more tired, a warm feeling flooded over his chest. He sighed. “Alright, you want it? You want it?” he kept teasing, making her jump around, before breaking the ball and rubbing the snow in her fur.
She layed down on her back, showing her tummy for pets, which he did obviously provide, tickling that one spot that made her move her leg uncontrollably.
He got up, and formed another snowball, showing it to her.
“Watch out, I’m throwing it!” he said to her, before aiming at some free space far from him, throwing the ball from behind his back, watching with a heartwarming smile as she ran after it.
He seemed to have forgotten about defeating you, watching as his dog kept digging for the “ball” that already disappeared in the snow, so you walked back up to him.
“You okay?” you asked softly, and he looked at you in surprise.
“Yeah, obviously” he responded, but something seemed off. You tangled your arms around his shoulder, smushing your cheek against it, and looking at Lady sniffing around the place the snowball landed. “You know, if it weren’t for her, I’d still be too anxious to pet dogs I like when I’m on walks” he started, his mind some place else.
“Well, many things wouldn’t have happened if it weren’t for her. We probably wouldn’t have met!” you smiled against the fabric of the thick coat, both of you remembering that sunny afternoon when you sat by the river in the park, reading some sort of upsetting news on your phone, frowning, tears forming in the corners of your eyes, when suddenly, you flinched, seeing a snoot between your arms, and when you parted it, you saw a panting, big dog staring back at you. You heard a distressed  “Oh my god, Lady! Come back here!” in the distance, and you lifted your eyes to see a tall like a tower twenty-year old, black curls swept away from his face with hairgel, but getting a bit in the way due to the wind, the guy wearing black t-shirt, with a golden logo, of what appeared to be a... fox? You then thought, only later discovering it’s actually a Jackal, and the letters B and J on the sides of it, and sporty shorts. Apparently, they were on a run.
“I’m so, so sorry, she never does that. Please don’t get too mad at her, she means no harm! Oh, my god, Lady, come back here!” he hissed, putting the dog back on a leash. “I’m sorry! Hey, I can buy you a coffee, if that’ll make up for her? I’m choosing the coffee shop though, there’s a little one nearby and there’re not too many people in it, the popular ones are a rip off anyway, wait— are you crying?” he panted out, staring directly at your face, with a deadpan look.
“It’s alright, I like dogs. But I like coffee, too”
You smiled upon remembering that afternoon, as the completely different sun shined on you two in that moment, not the exhausting, August-ish one, that makes you want to never leave the nearest pool, but a cool and refreshing February one. Two years passed, and the both of you weren’t just strangers in the park, you were one of these cheesy couples teenage girls look at and get upset because they think they’re never going to be like that with anyone. Although, the bonding dog stayed the same.
Speaking of Lady, she ran up to Kiyoomi, who was lost in his thoughts and memories, proudly showing off a stick she must’ve found under the snow at some point.
“Look what you got there!” he kneeled down, trying to get it away from her to throw it. “My good girl” he giggled.
Some February afternoons could just last forever.

You And I
Tumblr media
At the end of the day, your heart will come home. Even through the darkest nights, I’ll be your light
Warning: violence, horror themes
Back || Next
A/n: this was supposed to be longer but i decided to cut it since i didn’t want it to be too long
Blinking up at the bright and partially cloudy skies, you squint before bringing a hand to prevent the sun’s rays from blinding your vision before a voice meets your ears, the sound of a familiar music box playing somewhere nearby when a shadow comes over you, effectively blocking the sun.
“How long are you going to lay there, unnie? The food is almost done.” Yoohyeon tells you and you groan before turning on your side, forcing your eyes to close once more. But the younger girl had different intentions as she let her entire body land on top of yours.
You let out an ‘uff’ at the sudden weight before whining, pushing at the younger girl in protest as she wraps her arms around you. “Unnie, come on!” She calls and you try to worm your way out from under her.
“Yah! Kim Yoohyeon, I swear, this is not funny!” You shouted, but she laughs at your attempt to escape before sticking her tongue out at you, her chin resting against your chest before she’s poking your cheek. “To me, it is. I told you that the food is almost ready but you still wouldn’t get up.” She huffs and you roll your eyes while pushing her hand away from your face. “Unlike you and Jiu unnie, I don’t love food as much.”
“Talking about me, are we?” Another voice comes in and you look up, spotting Minji standing upside down in your position before throwing her a lazy grin. “And if we are?” You playfully ask and you she grins while walking over. “Just because you guys are younger than me doesn’t mean I’m going to be holding back.”
Your eyes widened and before Yoohyeon could even react, Minji had placed herself on the younger girl’s back, making you both groan at the additional weight. “Girls! Help me wake Y/n up!”
“W-Wait! I’m sor-” Before you could even get the words out, all of the girls came running over when they saw the three of you, Bora jumping right in, making Yoohyeon whine. “Unnie!” But Gahyeon was already joining, followed by Siyeon, then Yubin, and finally Handong, who made a point to hop just for extra measures.
Despite having the girls crushing her, Minji was laughing as she saw the grimace on your face. “What was that?” She asked as you struggled to even move your arms since it was pinned between Minji and Yoohyeon since you were hugging the latter before this dog pile happened.
"Is she awake yet?" Siyeon asked before shifting her head a bit in the only space she can and you try to shake them off, but none of them budge as Bora cackles at your poor state. "Oh, Y/n, you know you're no match for all of us like this." She tells you and you huff. "Okay, okay, now get off because I can feel Yoohyeon's nails digging into my sides."
Said girl's eyes widened and she tried to get up quickly, squeaking, and the sudden action seemed to cause a chain reaction because all of the girls began to slide off you and settled on the ground instead. Minji took a seat next to the two of you as Yoohyeon sits up and apologizes profusely. "I'm sorry! Are you okay?" She asks while checking at your sides, only for Minji to lightly swat her hands away when she tried to lift your shirt.
"Off limits." Gahyeon snorts in amusement while Handong chuckles at the eldest's antics. "Calm down, unnie. It's not like Yoohyeon isn't satisfied with seeing Dami." The comment causes said girl to shove the Chinese woman, her cheeks tinting a bright red as she glared at her friend. "Stop being weird." Yubin complains and you laugh while patting Yoohyeon's head in an affectionate manner.
"I'm okay, don't worry." You assure the girl before Minji rests her head on your shoulder. “Well, seeing as we’re all up and ready, why don’t we head to the table where the food is waiting for us?” Yubin gestures to the perfectly set up table, along with a picnic blanket spread nearby since the table was too small to fit all eight of you.
“Come on, kids. Don’t make the food wait.” Bora calls, helping Handong to her feet before offering a hand to her girlfriend and then pulling her to her feet. Gahyeon crinkled her nose at her older sibling and Handong laughed lightly before she helped the maknae up and then dust her off from any dirt and grass.
Minji, while wanting to bring you over to the table earlier, decided that laying on you was her priority for now as she nuzzled her face to your neck with a soft sigh passing her lips, tickling your skin as she wrapped her arms around yours and Yoohyeon furrows her brows at the two of you when Yubin grabs her hand to pull her up.
“What are you sulking about this time?” Her girlfriend questions and the taller girl pouts in your and Minji’s direction. “Jiu unnie is hogging Y/n unnie.” Yubin could only roll her eyes at her poor girlfriend, chuckling before she pulled at the older girl’s hand. “Oh, come on. They’re dating, of course Jiu unnie is going to want her attention.”
“But I want her attention, too!” Yoohyeon complained as she was being pulled away from you. Siyeon ended up laughing at her antics, clapping her in the back when she was close enough. “Oh, let them be. You know that it hasn’t been long since Jiu unnie’s confessed to Y/n.”
“I think Dami is getting a bit jealous again.” Handong teases and the said girl quickly shook her head, sticking her tongue out in retaliation. “I’m not falling for that again.” Gahyeon grinned as Yoohyeon continued to sulk away. “Why is unnie being so clingy?”
“Considering how she’s closer to Y/n than the rest of us, I guess you can say it’s the same with you when it comes to Singsing.” Bora explained when she took a seat and the two sisters looked to each other before quickly looking away and shaking their heads.
“Siyeon unnie is mean.”
“Gahyeon tries to ruin my ears.”
“Your girlfriend is literally the loudest out of all of us!”
“Yah!”
The remaining three just watch as they continue to go back and forth with each other and Handong took that time to start grabbing her own plate before Yubin did the same for both her and Yoohyeon, who kept watching the three bicker with a slightly amused expression on her face.
“Excuse me! We want to eat!” Handong called out when she went to take a look at you and Minji, only to catch the older girl peppering your face with kisses until she had eventually claimed your lips. That was when Handong decided to break you two up before you actually forgot to eat and join them.
Pulling away, Minji giggled in delight when she saw the bright blush on your cheeks before standing up. “Sorry!” You replied bashfully and the older girl laughed louder as she stood up and wrapped her arm around your shoulders. "Ah, you're so cute!" She coos before pecking your lips one more time and then joining the rest of the girls.
..
Gripping the lamp tight in your hand, you pass through the empty hallway in search of at least one of the girls.
It was late at night, yet the rumbling of the house had woken you from sleep and, assuming that something had happened, you quickly got out of bed to check on the girls, only to find their rooms empty.
"Guys?" You call out quietly. "Where are you?" You try again, only to be met with another round of silence.
Shutting your eyes, you try to locate at least one of them, reaching for their consciousness until you spot the camera Yoohyeon would have set up in one of the rooms. It was knocked over, so you decide to check there, hurrying down the stairs and making a quick turn to the room only to find it empty.
"What…"
Picking up the camera, you set it back up, checking to see if it was broken. However, upon closer inspection, you soon realize that it was empty. Checking for one of the girls again, you're not too surprised to see the red lights of the darkroom and the undeveloped photos.
You head to the direction of said room, which wasn't too far away since it was only two doors to your right. But when you knock, no one answers. "Hello?" You peek your head inside, squinting when you find not a single soul inside before huffing.
"What the heck? It's late and you guys are playing?" You mutter under your breath before leaving the lamp outside. Making sure not to touch any of the things set up in the room since you aren't the most knowledgeable when it comes to photography, you check to see a lone photo left in the water, probably left to remove any excess fixer.
However, the image on it had your brows pinching together. Grabbing one of Siyeon's tools, you gently pick it up before moving to clip it along with the previously developed photos.
You look closely at the picture before blinking when Yoohyeon's face turns clearer.
These were her clothes before she had gone to sleep. You don't remember her taking this photo or her even coming here with either Siyeon or-
"Y/n!"
You turn around when a voice hisses your name and your eyes land on the mirror near the door.
Rushing over, you see Handong looking around before her eyes settle on you. "Where are you?" You question and she looks like she's struggling before she's able to speak to you. "I'm in the living room, near the door that heads to the basement." She replies. "I'm stuck and I need your help."
"Where is everyone?" You question but she shakes her head. "That's what I'm trying to know." You nod your head before quickly heading out. "Wait for me, I'll come get you."
You run out of the room, failing to see the photo of Yoohyeon being burned behind you as the door closes when you leave.
When you find Handong, you were more than surprised to see her entangled in some sort of web and needles keeping her clothes pinned to the wall.
"What happened to you?" You ask when you reach to pull the needles off her, ripping the webs as you did. Once her arm is free, she helps rid herself of any webs before you help her up. "To be honest, I have no idea. I was trying to look for everyone but the next thing I know, I'm stuck to the wall." She explains while dusting herself off and you let out a sigh before looking around, the darkness of the house seemingly more ominous.
"Can you find the others?" You ask while looking around and the slightly older girl nods her head before facing the window while you hold the lamp up, closing your eyes once again to try and find one of the girls.
When minutes pass, you grunt before Handong reaches for your hand. "Jiu unnie and Sua unnie are together in the living room." She informs you and you rub your temple when she releases your hand. "The others?"
"I don't know. But I think it's best we meet with them before finding the rest." The worry begins growing in your chest when you have yet to locate Yoohyeon's whereabouts especially after finding the photo of her earlier.
You grip Handong's hand up until you find Minji and Bora both pacing around the living room. And upon seeing the two of you, Minji stops before running over, taking you into her arms after you release Handong's hand.
"Are you okay?" She asks when she pulls away to look at your face and you nod your head before looking around. "What's going on? Where are the others?" Minji breathes out while holding you. “Siyeon went to grab Gahyeon because she said her, Yoohyeon and Dami were together.” Bora replies and you furrow your brows, pulling away from your girlfriend to look around.
“Y/n?”
But you don’t respond, looking at your friends currently present in the room. “Who was in the darkroom?” You question and Handong turns to you. “Oh, yeah. Why were you there in the first place?” She asks and you felt a chill run down your spine at their clueless expressions. “Because I tried looking for one of you and I saw the camera and then the film cartridge in the room.” You respond, hands shaking as you stare at your friends and Minji purses her lips.
“Y/n, are you sure with what you saw?” She asks you and you nod. “The camera was on the floor when I got there and when I got to the darkroom, there was a picture of Yoohyeon in the same room with the camera.”
“Yoohyeon should have gone to bed already.” Bora says confusedly and you look back to Minji. “Are the three of them really together?” You ask and she shakes her head. “I don’t know. Siyeon just said-”
“Y/n!”
Minji’s voice rings loud in your ears and you look towards the archway before looking back at the person who wore your girlfriend’s face. “Who are you and where is Jiu unnie?” You demand, making the two other girls look to the other woman inside the room.
“What are you talking about?” Bora asked carefully as she backed away from ‘Minji’ and you glared at them with your jaw clenched. “Where is she? What did you do to her?” Your voice grows louder and Handong places her hand on your elbow while Bora stands to your left when Siyeon comes running into the room with Gahyeon and Yubin in toe.
Upon seeing the lack of two people, your jaw clenches before you hear Minji’s voice again. “You girls prove to be more fun than I thought you were.” The fake Minji chuckled before they slowly melted into the shadow just as a thud came from outside the living room.
“Where is Yoohyeon?” You ask and Yubin points outside when you run to the source of the sound, only to find your girlfriend sprawled on the floor.
“Jiu!”
“Unnie!”
All of you hurry to her side and help her sit up while she groans and rubs her forehead from the growing ache in her head. “Where… where is he?” She muttered and you eye her warily while rubbing her back and making sure that she wasn’t injured. “Who is he? What happened to you?” Siyeon asked, having witnessed what just transpired before Minji arrived.
“Haneul. The person they’ve been calling a hunter, he’s here.” Your girlfriend replied before looking at all of you, her eyes noticing the absence of one member and your eyes widen when you look up. “Take Jiu unnie to the living room, make sure she’s okay.”
“Where are you going?” Minji grabbed your hand just as you stood, but you give her an assuring squeeze to tell her that you’ll be fine. “I need to find Yoohyeon.” You turn to Yubin and she nods her head at your unasked question.
She didn’t need you to verbally say anything, but she knew by heart that you wanted to find the younger girl, whether it was on your own or with one of them tagging along.
“Y/n, he’s dangerous.” Minji tried to reason, but you purse your lips, fists clenched on either side. “Then it’s more of a reason for me to find Yoohyeon and make sure we get her back here.” You retort and Siyeon rests a hand on her friend’s arm. “I’ll go with them.”
Siyeon turns to her girlfriend with a meaningful look before nodding in her sister’s direction. “Take care of Gahyeon.” Bora looks conflicted, but Siyeon understands your concern for Yoohyeon the same way she worries about Gahyeon, so she knows that there was no talking her out of this.
“Be safe.” Is all she can say before the three of you head for the door and the girls help Minji into the living room to sit down and recover from whatever it was she had just gone through.
Yubin shuts the door when all three of you exit the house and you turn to the other two. “Dami, where did you see her?” You ask and the younger girl looks towards the gate. “I saw her near the exit, but she didn’t look like she was heading out.” She replies, nibbling on her lower lip as she anxiously pulls at her shirt.
“What would she be doing out here?” Siyeon asks when the three of you start to look around in hopes of finding Yoohyeon quickly. Yubin sticks close to you, close to grabbing your hand as she tries to spot her girlfriend and you try to pay attention to anything that may give off where she might be.
Siyeon stands to your right, keeping watch over you and Yubin. A single flame appears at her fingertip, keeping her guard up just in case the person who tried to impersonate Minji was still around.
She keeps your path alight, too and it doesn’t take much searching before you see Yoohyeon passed out right in front of the gates.
Yubin gasps and the two of you run towards her unconscious figure and Siyeon’s fire grows a bit, just to possibly scare whoever or whatever was around to hurt any of you.
“Yoohyeon!”
You try shaking her awake, but her eyes remain shut and Yubin checks her neck for a pulse, which she luckily does. "Why isn't she waking?" Siyeon asks while crouching next to Yubin to get a better look at the sleeping girl when you press your hand to her forehead.
The pair watch as your eyes turn white for only a split second before you look down at Yoohyeon with concern swimming in your features. "There's nothing there…" You mutter while glancing around, finding Pie running to you.
You welcome the pup into your arms and run your fingers through her fur. "What happened, buddy?" You ask and the pomeranian whines, your lips pursing together as you nod your head. "We need to get inside. It's not safe, and Yoohyeon is clearly under some sort of spell."
Siyeon helps Yoohyeon onto your back, deciding to walk behind you as Yubin assists you just so you don't drop her girlfriend as the three of you head back inside. Pie barks a few times but comes along until you're in the safety of the house and then runs off to the living room where everyone else was.
When they see you, all the girls are on their feet as you gently lay the younger girl on the couch. "Is unnie okay?" Gahyeon asks when she sees no movement coming from the girl and the three of you look at them. "Pie said something attacked her, looked like a spider or something." You inform them before gesturing to the girl. "I can't get into her mind. It's blank."
"What can we do?" Handong inquires and Yubin breaks from the group to grab some of her spell books. "Right now, we have to be careful. Aside from whoever is hunting us down, it looks like we have more than one company." Minji grunts when she looks around.
"But Yoohyeon-"
"Until we can figure out what is wrong with Yoohyeon, we can't do anything. Right now, we have to worry about whoever caused all this." Bora stated with her arms wrapped tightly around herself and her girlfriend glances at her with a small frown.
..
You let out a sigh while staring at Yoohyeon's still frame, grimacing as you all gather in the living room and Minji looks at each of you, her gaze lingering on you and Yubin. "This is the only way we can bring Yoohyeon back, but you all know this is dangerous." She began and you kept your head down whilst Yubin clenched her fists.
"We've been working on everything we can, so we need to stay focused." Your girlfriend reminds you all and everyone nods. "As soon as we get Yoohyeon, bring her out. We don't know what might happen if this fails, so do whatever you can."
You suck in a deep breath and all of you stand in position as Minji grabs a handful of sand before she walks behind Yoohyeon's body.
Everyone keeps watch, even as the winds begin to pick up despite the closed doors and windows and a dark figure begins to appear above your friend when Minji begins the incantation.
The sand spills to the floor and you brace yourself as a strong gust of wind comes into the room just as the figure emerges from Yoohyeon and your body quickly reacts.
You nearly break from the formation, but Bora already sent you a look and you stop in your tracks. She frowns because she can see you struggling just to bring Yoohyeon back, but you all had to endure completing the ritual before you could do anything else.
But the idea strikes you when you catch a glimpse of something and Yoohyeon's voice is faint in your ears. Closing your eyes, you let your shoulders relax and Gahyeon makes a small noise when she notices what you’re doing, and in turn, Siyeon steals a quick glance at you, pursing her lips before she turns back to Minji.
“Yoohyeon! Where are you?”
You’re surrounded by a white wasteland with no source of life anywhere.
While you don’t understand where this place was, this was where Yoohyeon’s consciousness led you and you were willing to use any means of getting her back.
“.. re you?” You try and focus on where the sound is coming from. The wind was howling in your ears, almost as though it was preventing you from reaching the younger girl. But you were persevering as you walked aimlessly towards where you believed she was.
It didn’t matter right now that you were the only one there. At least you knew where she was.
“Yoohyeon!” Spotting the younger girl, you sprint in her direction as she turns to the sound of your voice, her terrified expression melting into relief when she sees your familiar face before she meets you halfway, running into your arms and burying her face into your neck.
She’s trembling in your arms and you hold her tight while running your fingers through her hair. “You’re okay, I’ve got you.” You whisper and she looks around in fear of what this void kept her in. “Are you okay?” You ask and she nods her head, tear tracks on her cheeks before you wipe them away.
“I-I’m okay.” She sniffles and you nod your head. “Thank god. How did you get here?” You question and she shakes her head. “T-There was a… a woman. I don’t remember what happened, but she was at the mansion. The next thing I know, I was all alone here.”
You purse your lips at her answer.
Woman? What woman?
Pie told you that there was some sort of spider that attacked Yoohyeon. Could there be more than just that? Or was the spider manipulated by the woman Yoohyeon saw?
“We have to get back to the others. We’ll deal with whoever the person is.” You tell her but she shakes her head. “I can’t get out. Not from here.” She informs you and you frown while holding her hand. “I’m not leaving you here.” You argue and she shakes her head again. “Unnie, you’re still outside of this realm. Use whatever is in Dami’s books, she’s been studying portals to help with her powers.” She explains while squeezing your hand.
“But I…” You don’t want to leave her alone. The whole place looked so barren, yet it felt far too ancient at the same time. It was like you were being thrown to and from the past and present despite the unchanging environment.
“I know you’ll be back. I trust you.”
When you open your eyes, everyone is looking at you. Blinking, you steady yourself before shaking your head.
“That was really reckless of you.” Handong sighs and you notice how no one is in their original positions anymore. Yubin was standing beside Yoohyeon’s body and Minji was now facing you with her arms crossed across her chest.
"I found her." You breathe out and for some reason you feel woozy after exerting that much power in finding the other girl. "She's stuck somewhere and-"
"I told you to stay focused." Your girlfriend cut you off and you look at her in confusion. "But I found Yoohyeon and I know how to get her back." You argue before she shakes her head. "Y/n, we're in danger and what you just did could have been much worse." She chastised and your lips turned downwards. "But we're fine and I was able to find her."
"Still, that doesn't change the fact that you put yourself, and possibly Yoohyeon, in danger." The girls looked like they wanted to intervene, but decided to stay out of the argument brewing between you. "Don't you get it?" She spoke before you could even open your mouth.
"This whole thing isn't a joke. It's too dangerous!"
Minji was never once to raise her voice at you. Maybe she would reprimand you or any of the girls when you did something a little over the top, but she's never yelled at you.
"I think we need to-" But you don't listen when Bora tries to mediate the tension growing in the room as you glare back at your girlfriend.
"Call me selfish for wanting to go after Yoohyeon in my own way, I get it. But if you think that I'm taking all of this as a joke when it's her life on the line, then you must think so little of me." You say with a scowl before turning on your heel and stomping away to find whatever book Yoohyeon told you about, mind set on doing this on your own.
"Y/n, wait!" Bora hurries after you while Yubin glances at Minji's still figure, breathing heavily as she stared at the spot you previously stood.
..
After hours of reading and flipping through various books, Yubin came to help you when she was sure Yoohyeon's body was safe with the others, helping you find whatever spell you were looking for.
It was easier when you had help. It was also easier when the one helping you was the same person whose powers and knowledge you needed in performing the spell properly.
However, you know that there's something bothering the younger girl when she keeps glancing at you when she thinks you don't notice how her thoughts spill into your own. When you grow tired, you let out a breath before setting your book down. "Okay, out with it." Your sudden statement caused her to lift her head, blinking owlishly as she looked at you and you rub your eyes.
"I know you want to say something, Dami. Go ahead and let it out." You clarify and the said girl chewed on her lip, fingers playing with the corners of the page she was previously reading as her eyes landed on it. "I just… are you okay?" She murmurs that you barely catch what she said.
"You and Jiu unnie never fight and with Yoohyeon being gone… I wanted to know if you were alright." She says carefully and your expression softens before you let out a breath and lean back against the bed, touched with the younger girl's concern for you. "I'm okay." You reply quietly, brushing your fingers through your hair out of habit.
"I guess I was just a little hurt by what she said. Worrying about Yoohyeon, I guess it all just piled up and what she said ticked me off." You explain as the younger girl listened attentively. "I'm not mad at Jiu unnie. I understand why she was upset, and I was thinking carelessly for doing that earlier. I just…" You struggle to properly say the right words before letting out a heavy sigh.
"I just want Yoohyeon back."
Yubin shifts in her place until she's sitting beside you, rubbing your arm before resting her head on your shoulder in a comforting manner and you nearly cry at how similar her and Yoohyeon really are. "I understand." She mumbles while squeezing your arm.
Later when you prepare to go after Yoohyeon and open the portal, the rest of the girls come into the room where you found the knocked over camera.
"What's going on here?" Gahyeon asks when she observes the room's setup and you and Yubin don't bother looking up when you finish as quickly as possible. "We know how to open the portal. Since Y/n unnie was able to get to Yoohyeon before, it's easier for me to locate her and we can open the portal for her to come through." Yubin explained as you placed the camera aside, pulling the cover over it just to keep it safe for Yoohyeon.
Minji eyes you warily, taking note of how you avoid looking in her direction when you walk back to join Yubin at the center of the room. "I'll be back as soon as possible."
"What?" Bora intervened while taking a step closer. "Y/n, don't tell me you're going alone?" It's more of a demand, but you know that they're all hoping for the same answer.
"I have to. The portal won't be able to hold for long, which is why Dami and I agreed that only one of us will go in to get Yoohyeon." You explain and Minji quickly cuts in. "But what if you get stuck?"
You meet her eyes briefly before shaking your head. "I'm going to get her out of there, one way or another." You state firmly and your girlfriend bit her lip before she looked to the rest of your friends, silently pleading for them to give you some time and they all silently leave the room, except for Yubin.
When she sees the younger girl watching her, she seems hesitant. But Yubin nods in her direction before stepping out of the room to let the two of you talk before you proceeded with your plan.
"Y/n." The older girl gently takes your hand when she calls your name and you allow her to turn you around, though still refuse to lift your head to look at her.
She sighs at your stubbornness but circles her arms around you nevertheless while her chin rests on your shoulder.
"I'm sorry for what I said… it was insensitive." She apologizes when she feels your hands clutching at her shirt in the same manner you usually do. "I know that I can't take back what I said, but I want you to know that I really am sorry. If it were you and I had the choice to do what you did, I would have done the same." She whispers when she feels your leaning more against her frame.
She can feel your hands trembling as you grip at her shirt and she knows enough that you're more than terrified going into this alone.
But you weren't one to back out.
So with another sigh, she pulls away until she can see your face before cupping your cheeks in her hands, her thumbs gently caressing your skin before leaning in to press a gentle kiss to your lips, soft and sweet like always, and your hands wrap around her wrist while letting her take the lead.
When she pulls away, she places a tender kiss to your forehead before resting her own against it, both your eyes shut as you squeeze her wrists. "Come back to me." Her voice is barely a whisper, lacking confidence as she lets her fears finally surface when her voice wavers.
It's a plea - desperate and needy.
You look into her warm brown orbs before pressing another kiss to her lips. "Always."
When the rest of the girls come back, you look at them, watching their weary eyes when Yubin approaches you and takes your girlfriend's place.
The younger girl stares at you before offering her hands. "Be safe, unnie." You give her a smile before taking them. "I'll bring her home." You respond before the swirling gray portal slowly comes in the form of smoke until it eventually turns an icy blue.
You all look towards it and your heart rages against your chest as you take a deep, calming breath.
Gahyeon holds on to her sister's hand and Bora squeezes Handong's shoulder as they all watch you step away from Yubin as she stands next to Minji, both of them holding their breaths as you disappear into the portal and leaving nothing but smoke in your wake.
Right after you have stepped through the portal, you're once again welcomed into the white and empty nothingness that contained your friend. Squinting, you cup your hands around your mouth before calling her name and listen as your voice echoes when you walk further away from the portal.
Your heart has yet to calm down. You doubt you're able to do so while you're still here.
But Yoohyeon was a priority and you needed to find her with the limited time you currently had.
"Unnie!" You see her not too far away and your expression breaks into a smile of relief as you run in her direction, catching the younger girl into your arms and squeezing her. "I knew you would be back." She mumbled against your shoulder and you breathe out before finally pulling her in the direction of the portal.
"Come on. We don't have much time, so we need to hurry back before the portal closes." You tell her and Yoohyeon nods her head when you point to the opening you came through just earlier, seeing the interior of the mansion through the smoke and feeling her own relief fill her lungs.
But after taking a few steps, the ground begins to rumble and Yoohyeon turns to you. Your eyes widen and you feel your heart jump to your throat when you notice the portal slowly shrinking.
"Whatever happens, don't stop running until you get out, do you understand me?"
You make sure she nods her head to know that she's heard you before you gave her a squeeze and then urged her forward, letting her go first as you sprinted to the direction of the portal.
You can see more smoke coming from a different direction and you look at Yoohyeon who's running a bit ahead of you. The portal was closing far too soon than you had anticipated and there was something else present that was almost warning both of you about what you were attempting to do.
With Yoohyeon in your sights, you clenched your jaw, running as best as you could until you were both nearing the portal. But just a few feet away, something grabs at Yoohyeon's leg far too for you to see what it was, but as soon as she stumbles to the ground, you react and reach for her, sweat running down your forehead as you help her, draping one arm over your shoulders.
"Come on, kiddo. We have to go home." She nods her head with a grunt, doing her best to keep up and not slow you down. You do your best in carrying her, panting when you reach the barely opened portal and you know that you have to make a quick decision.
Looking at the tired girl in your arms, you purse your lips before giving her a tight hug. "I love you. Stay safe." You whisper into her ear, and before she has the chance to even properly process your words, you push her into the portal before it's completely swallowed in smoke and eventually vanishes into nothing.
..
The ringing in your ears is loud when your eyes open. Everything is blurry and you can only see faint outlines of the people around you.
The sounds are muffled, but you can tell that there's conflict happening with the figures that you're seeing.
Grunting, you roll over to your side and slowly lift yourself up, right hand clutching your head as the ringing grows louder and the headache continues to throb, making you a bit disoriented before you try opening your eyes again.
Though this time, you can see the flames of Siyeon's arms, large and angry as she slams her fists against the man that stood smugly in front of them, deflecting each of their attacks. Even when Gahyeon tries to trap him in place, he uses Yubin's abilities to avoid them, dodging Minji and Handong when they charge at him, flipping them on their backs before harshly stomping on their stomachs.
There are deers and bears off to the side, and you see Yoohyeon trying to get closer to Haneul with an eagle flying by her side, circling around the male before diving in to scratch at his face, but he quickly forms a plate of ice to shield himself and then ducks down to swipe his leg under Yoohyeon's before jumping away right as Yubin appears on his right, causing her to stumble forward and collide with the taller girl.
Bora, you can see, is standing off to the side, keeping one hand to the gate's direction and keeping it locked from where she stood just to keep Haneul from reaching you. At the same time, she's trying to use whatever she could to hurl at the man and hopefully damage him in any way.
But with most of the girls out of breath or off their feet, he was able to approach her before grabbing her neck and harshly shaking her to the side.
"Let go of her!" Siyeon's voice is raw as it echoes in your ears, replacing the ringing and you finally find the strength to stand back up despite the struggle of it. Siyeon makes an attempt to throw another set of flames at him, but you react quick enough when you see how he puts Bora in front of him just as Siyeon fires.
"No!"
The desperation reaches your ears and pierces through your mind. The pain that laces Siyeon's voice and the way it cracks as she watches her own flames racing towards the love of her life as the memories of how she had burned her past home village mirrored in your own mind when it replays in hers.
Shutting her eyes tight and bracing for impact, Bora waits for the pain to hit her body, but instead, she feels herself being pushed aside.
When she opens her eyes, Haneul's hand is no longer enclosed around her throat, and instead, he's at the receiving end of Siyeon's flames.
Looking over, her eyes widen when she sees you carrying her, panting with your eyes shifting until they settle to the same pure white ones she's used to seeing long ago as Haneul stops moving and the fire burns his clothes.
Gently putting her down, you check to see if she's okay. "I'm fine." She croaks out and you stare at her for a while before she offers a smile and then nods in the other's direction. "I think you better ask them that." She chuckled and you look back to see all six girls getting back on their feet, watching as you faced Haneul again.
He turns his face to look at you, seemingly impressed by your quick response before dusting himself off. "Well, isn't that interesting." He chuckles before turning back to you with his whole attention. "And here I thought we could keep you in the dark much longer."
You sneer at him and the girls feel a bit of hope in them when they see the familiarity in your expression. But that hope only skyrockets when they hear your voice ringing in their heads.
"I'll keep him distracted, but I need some help."
Your eyes meet Yubin's and she holds your gaze for a minute before nodding her head.
"Blocking me out, are we?" Haneul tsks and you glare at him as Siyeon cracks her knuckles before letting her hands be enveloped in flames and while Gahyeon has ice crystals forming at her fingertips.
"Just returning the favor, boss." You feel something come in contact with your hand and you grip it without question as Gahyeon forms walls in various areas of the field.
You move first, running in Haneul's direction with the pipe Bora had given you, ready to swing, but before you did, you waited until he moved before sliding on your knees, stabbing the pipe to the ground to maneuver your body so you can land a kick right behind his knees.
Seeing the opportunity, Siyeon jumps right in and sends a fireball his way when Gahyeon manages to trap his leg in ice.
"That's for my girlfriend." The blue haired woman spat but Haneul slips out of the ice after melting it and then appears elsewhere, though thanks to Gahyeon's walls, Handong immediately catches his reflection when he appears before Yoohyeon is sending a pack of wolves his way, all growling and ready to bite.
"How about you play fair?" Haneul mocks you when he summons his own animals, bigger and stronger to take down the wolves Yoohyeon sent after him. "Since when were you one to play fair?" You retort while tapping the pipe against one of the walls and then swinging it in his direction when you hear the sound of it through his senses, Bora helping in propelling it to his direction with greater force.
He's quick enough to deflect it, but it crashes against one of the walls and completely destroys it.
When he's distracted enough, he doesn't notice as Yubin appears behind him with Minji next to her until the older woman manages to grab his arm, twisting it behind his back before speaking. "You look a little paralyzed, Haneul. Are you in pain?" She asks in a taunting manner, mocking him the same way he's done to all of them for the past years.
And it does the trick.
You watch as he crumbles to his knees, body convulsing in pain and Minji lets go of him before she and Yubin join all of you.
"He won't be down for long." Handong informs you and you nod your head. "Then we should go - somewhere where we can buy time." They all nod and you look at Yubin, smiling as you offer her your hand. "Mind doing the honors?"
She grins as she clasps your hand with her own and the rest follow, grabbing each other's hands as the two of you bring all eight of you to a farther, safer, location.
You and Yubin were able to transport all of you to a peaceful looking city. Though you aren't exactly sure where this is, the quietness and the less amount of people assured you that there wouldn't be that big of a chance for Haneul to find you that quick this time especially after you decided to cover your tracks.
And there was no doubt he wouldn’t start checking a small city like this.
Right after your feet settle on the ground though, you were met with seven curious eyes when you released Gahyeon’s and Yubin's hands. "What?" You ask when you dust yourself off and Bora is the first to approach you, scanning you from head to toe before she let a smirk take over her features right as she shoved your arm. “You’re a real piece of work, you know that?”
She laughs in that same manner she usually does before she’s engulfing you in a tight hug. “God, I missed your stupid ass.” She muttered and you can’t help but smile while returning the embrace, which soon prompted all the other girls to do the same, minus Yoohyeon and Minji.
“You remember everything?” Gahyeon asks with a spark of excitement in her bright eyes and you grin while ruffling her hair. “I guess so.” Siyeon gives you another big squeeze and you rub her back as you hear her hushed voice.
“Thank you.” She murmurs against your shoulder and you smile while patting her back. “You’re welcome.” You whisper back before finally letting her go and watching as she headed to check on her girlfriend, seeing the shorter woman cupping her face when she was close enough and you hear the quiet assurances Bora gave her.
You feel a squeeze on your arm and Handong eventually pulls you into another hug, swaying your body from side to side and you laugh lightly at her before she squeezed your cheeks. “Sorry for scaring you before.” But the mischievous look in her eyes tells you that she wasn’t fully apologetic until she ends up giggling when you give her a stare at her. “Okay, maybe just a little.” She adds before moving aside when she feels the burning stare at the back of her head and Yoohyeon comes crashing into you without warning.
Your arms loop around her waist when she buries her face to your chest and you immediately feel as her body begins to shake and her sobs pierce through the quietness of the room.
The girls all watch with gentle smiles on their faces, some with tears in their own eyes as they watch with wide smiles on their faces as Yoohyeon cries into your chest and her fists lightly push against you in some form of way to get rid of the burden she’s been carrying all these years.
“Stupid, stupid, stupid! You’re so stupid and I hate you so much!” She sobbed and you let her hit your chest with her fists balled up as she continued to cry her poor heart out. “You said we were going home. You were supposed to come back with me!” She continued and all you could do was tighten your arms around her, rubbing her back to soothe her until she stopped hitting you and her crying had reduced into sniffles and small whimpers.
Breathing softly, you run your fingers through her hair and press a kiss to her forehead. “I’m so sorry.” Was all you could say, but those were all enough to bring her back into a crying mess in your arms that you had to gently lower yourself to the ground when her legs gave out.
You hold her while running your fingers through her hair and wait until she's tired herself out and cries everything out of her system, because that was obviously something she needed. And from all the thoughts you were able to hear, all the apologies, all the replayed memories, you know she needs it.
Eventually, Pie comes running out of a corner and she jumps into Yoohyeon's lap, barking, and you smile while reaching down to pet her head. "I've missed you, too." You tell her as you turn back to Yoohyeon with a gentle smile. "Are you okay now?" You ask without releasing her yet and she nods her head against your shoulder, taking in a deep breath and inhaling your scent before she finally lifted her head and looked at you.
"And here I thought I was your girlfriend." Yubin jokes, earning a few giggles from the girls as she attempts to lighten up the atmosphere. You look up at her and she smiles happily at you before she helps the two of you back on your feet. "Oh, Dami, you know that I could never be more than an unnie for Yoohyeon. Plus, I gave her to you, so I don't plan on taking her back." You joked back, earning a smack from thee said girl as she pouted.
"Oh, mean Y/n is back. I like this." Bora smirked and Yoohyeon's pout deepened as she looked at the shorter woman. "No."
As everyone breaks into laughter, you turn your head to the only person who has yet to approach you.
Minji's soft eyes meet yours and you immediately catch the way that they gloss up with unshed tears that she's trying so hard to hold back. And knowing that she wouldn't make the first step at that exact moment, you take it instead, opening your arms a bit as you offer her a small smile.
"Am I too late to come back home?"
Your voice is soft, careful, yet it's exactly the same as the last time, right before she lost you without, and it forces a tear to run down her cheek before she let out a wet laugh and shook her head. "Of course not." She chokes out, accepting your hug and pulling you into her taller frame.
"Your home is always going to be here, waiting for you."
The way she holds you is somewhere between desperate, that if she held you too loose, she'd lose you again, and gentle, as though she were scared she'd break you if she held you any tighter. But she buries her nose into your hair, basking in your familiar warmth as she tries her best to stop crying before she looks at you again.
But they don't stop because she's just undeniably relieved to have you back in her arms and that she doesn’t have to keep second guessing whether you’d remember her or not.
Years.
She’s spent years just to be back in this moment and she was glad to finally have it after all that you’ve been through.
Minji is mindful of all eyes on you and so, she pulls away with little hesitance, but her hand reaches for yours immediately, her heart skipping a beat as you lace your fingers together and give her a squeeze when you face your friends.
"I'm making the assumption that this is one of your various hideouts?" You ask curiously while glancing around and Yubin shrugs her shoulders. "We've all been busy. I had to be sure." Yoohyeon gave her girlfriend an odd look. "When did you find this place and how?" She questions. "It looks sketchy." She added while holding her dog closer to her chest and Siyeon hums as she studied the room you were all in. "We get tv, so I'm not complaining much."
Bora rolls her eyes at the comment but leans into her girlfriend while she hugs her arm, her fingers gently running over the slight burn marks on her skin from the earlier fight. "Do we, at least, have everything that's necessary? Food, water, enough beds?"
Yubin scoffs playfully at the question and Handong giggles. "Unnie, that's like insulting everything Dami's studied." The shorter woman shook her head. "I'm just making sure!" Siyeon laughed as she kissed the top of her head and Gahyeon let out a tired yawn.
"I don't know what time it is, but I'm exhausted." Just as she had said that, a faint light came from Yoohyeon's hand as she extended her hand to the floor. After a few seconds, Cherry comes running out, along with a little grey cat who, instead of running to her owner like Cherry, stretched and just sat down to look at everyone in the room.
Handong's face lit up before she crouched down and raised her arms to the feline. "Nannan! Come here!" Gahyeon sighed softly as she watched her girlfriend’s cat come bounding over for the Chinese woman to scoop up in her arms. “Why?” Gahyeon complained as she watched her girlfriend cuddle the cat and smother it with kisses. “It’s better that she’s with you guys than somewhere else.” Yoohyeon replied before turning to her own girlfriend.
“Can I-”
“Go ahead.” Yubin doesn’t let her finish talking before she nodded in your direction. “Just be sure they’re both okay with it, first.” You face the pair in curiosity and Yoohyeon huffs before speaking. “I was wondering if I could… stay in your room.” Her voice grows quieter at the end of her sentence but Bora was already snickering and you blinked before looking at Minji, who smiled softly and squeezed your hand. “I don’t see why not.”
You could feel yourself smiling as you turned back to the younger girl and then nodded your head. “Of course, you can stay with me tonight.” You look at Yubin to be sure of her decision and she nods her head while smiling back at you.
“She needs you right now.”
Later that night when you’re all settled in your respective rooms, Minji rooming with Yubin, the latter knocks her lightly against the opened door with a light smile when she sees you already dressed for bed. “Mind if I come in?” She asks softly and you sit up, shaking your head as you patted the space next to you.
“Yoohyeon is still saying goodnight to Dami.” The dark haired woman informs you when she takes a seat and you giggle while adjusting the blanket on your lap. “That doesn’t seem surprising. How are the others?” Her fingers fiddle with the edges of the blanket, humming. “They’re okay. Siyeon’s arms are a little burnt and aside from the bruises, I guess we’re all okay.”
She lifts her head to look at you, her eyes landing on the little cut on the side of your face before she carefully reached out, the tips of her fingers gently coming in contact with the wound after Haneul had hit you right before you were able to retrieve your memories.
“Do you trust me?”
You stare at her and the warmth washes over you before you slowly nodded your head, swallowing while your hands clenched into fists to steel your nerves and stop them from shaking. “I do. I trust you.”
“That’s such a shame, really.” Haneul sighs mockingly while shaking his head. “I thought you were smarter than this, Y/n. And you were one of my best employees.” His eyes meet yours before his smirk returns to his face. “It’s just too bad that you never learn.”
Within the blink of an eye, you see all of your friends all standing on the opposite side of the garden where Haneul was standing just a second ago, and Minji’s eyes widen as she sprints over to you. “Y/n!”
“Watch out!”
Right as you went to turn your head, a hand grabbed you from behind before you felt yourself thrown to the ground with brute force, your head colliding with the ground that it causes your vision to blur when the pain shoots through you.
The last thing you see are flames coming closer as the girls’ voices fade and everything finally turns dark.
“Sometimes I wish my abilities were different, more helpful.” She mutters and you gently hold the hand resting against your cheek when you lean against it, shaking your head as you stare at the older woman. “Your powers are fine as they are.” You assure her and she sighs, looking a bit weary. “But what good are they if I can’t even protect you and the girls?”
You lower both your hands to your lap and glare at her. “I told you, it isn’t your job to protect the whole group. We look after each other, it isn’t your responsibility alone.” But it doesn’t erase the frown on her face. “But you got hurt and the others, too. We’re constantly moving from one time and place to another and there’s been nothing I could do to stop any of this.”
“Stop that, what happened wasn’t your fault. We didn’t know.” You reply while squeezing her hand. “I put myself in danger when I knew the risks, Haneul coming after us wasn’t something you could control either, so please… stop carrying everything on your own when you don’t have to.” You tell her and she could feel tears building up in her eyes as she slowly nodded her head.
The time apart may have made her even more emotional than she already was, but she didn’t bother hiding that fact as she rested her forehead against yours with tears falling down her cheeks and you reached up to gently brush them away. Just making sure that you were really there with her, knowing who she was, that was all she needed right now.

rules
warnings: fluff and maybe some angst
Tsukishima Kei
Tumblr media
-You moved next to the Tsukishimas when you were 6.
-You weren’t the most social bean at that age so your mom had t give you a slight push to make friends.
-That’s why she would always invite people over with kids around your age so you could play.
-Once you moved things didn’t really change.
-She invited the Tsukishimas over and you got to know their kids.
-Akiteru was intimidating to you.
-He was so open and talkative it made you anxious.
-Kei on the other hand was more calm, always giving you enough space so you could approach him when YOU wanted and he would invite you over to play with his dinosaurs in silence.
-Like complete silence.
-His mother always wondered if you two were alive.
-You were inseparable though.
-It was the first time in you whole life that you clicked with someone so easily and could actually interact.
-Kei, being the salty bitch that he is, pushed you out of your comfort zone once you began school.
-He would help you in class with refusing to ask a question for you or he would make you order your own lunch in the school’s cafeteria.
-You still had trouble talking to other kids though and Tsukki didn’t mind.
-He was okay with having you stick around and may have been slightly terrified at the idea of losing the only friend he had.
-He would never admit that though.
-The first time you talked on your own accord to some of your classmates was when you saw three boys mocking another one who was laying on the ground.
-He was trying to grab his backpack from the taller boy.
-You looked at Kei and he just continued walking sparring only a glance at the commotion.
-You couldn’t just let them pick on the boy though.
-You used to be picked on and Kei would always scare them off and so you puffed out your chest and marched over to the boys.
- “Hey! Leave him alone!!”
-You were surprised at your own voice but kept your ground as the three boys glared at you.
- “Isn’t that the girl that doesn’t talk?”
- “Yeah I heard she’s mute!!!”
-All of them snickered and pushed the other boy to the ground again.
-He was looking at you with wide eyes as the bullies made their way to you.
- “What do you want mute?”
-Your knees started to feel weak as your fear set in and the words you wanted to say caught in your throat.
-Your mind was screaming at you to call for Tsukki but you couldn’t turn your head around.
-Every single part of your body was frozen.
-The bullies kept laughing and making fun of you as you backed away when you back hit something warm but steady.
-Looking up you were met by none other than Kei himself.
-He told them off with his snarky comments and helped you calm down.
-Then grabbing your hand he started walking not glancing at the other boy.
-Years passed and now all of you are friends.
-A dynamic trio.
-Everything was going great.
-You were all into volleyball, practicing together both in school and out.
-Kei would no longer take you to his room and play with dinos.
-You two would go on for hours on end playing volleyball in his back yard, until his brother got home and he would be infatuated by his brother’s practice stories.
-He really looked up to him.
-Then the fateful game happened.
-Kei’s image of his brother was shattered.
-And so was the boy you met all those years ago.
-He didn’t particularly push you away he was just more distant.
-He had raised so many walls to protect himself he had become cold.
-But you didn’t leave and neither did Yamaguchi.
-You remained friends all the way to high school.
-Being part of the volleyball club was a must for the two and you told them that you were there to support them.
-When Kiyoko came to you and Yachi for the manager positions you immediately accepted, excited to spend more time with you boys.
-During the practice camp in Tokyo, you overheard his argument with Yamaguchi and were disappointed in him.
-How could he be so cold towards his best friend when all he was trying to do was help?
-You went to talk to him too but ended up fighting and it was pretty bad.
-He was angry you would see that more angry than you expected but you thought that it would be different if you talked to him.
-You had been there for everything after all.
- “Kei you can trust me, I’ve bee by your side since forever. I know YOU.”
- “You don’t know shit Y/N so why don’t you go back with the others? Aren’t you a manager or something? Do your damn job and leave me alone!”
-You were stunned at that, not believing what had come out of his mouth.
-You obliged though and without another word you left.
-You two weren’t on speaking terms for weeks.
-It had gotten to the point that you wouldn’t hang out with the two boys during lunch.
-As time passed you would greet each other but nothing else.
-That is until the match with Ushijima happened.
-You were up in the stands with Yachi when Tsukki tried to block the ball.
-He doubled in on himself, clutching his hand and you had never ran faster in your life.
-He was taken out of the court when you reached him and coach Ukai gave you the okay to take him to the back to patch up.
-You sat in silence in front of him as you wrapped his fingers with the gauze.
-His head was hanging low and you could see his shoulders tremble as he breathed.
-When you were done, you placed your palms on each cheek and lifted his head.
- “You’re going to go out there and you’re going to show him what you are made of. You will show him what Tsukishima Kei is capable off. Okay?”
-He looked at you with wide eyes before nodding and placing his own hand over yours.
-With a shy smile you went to get up but he pulled you into him, crashing his lips with yours.
-The kiss was too short for your liking as you were being rushed due to the game but he put all his feeling into it and you reciprocated with as much passion as him.
- “I missed you, let’s not fight again.”
- “I’ll consider it after the match, no go kick some ass.”
-Tsukki’s blocks were three times more accurate than before and then it happened.
-He blocked Ushijima’s spike successfully.
-The scream he let out shook you to the core and when his eyes scanned the stands, landing on you, you knew how happy he was.
-Post victory celebrations have never been sweeter.
Ushijima Wakatoshi
Tumblr media
-He met you because of Tendou.
-Um you were a Tendou yourself after all.
-When he met Satori he didn’t believe him when he said that he had a twin.
-He assumed that it was just some of Sato’s weird shit.
-Satori would go on and on about his twin telling him how cool and smart she was and how he couldn’t wait for her to come and join them in Shiritorizawa.
-Again Ushiwake didn’t really believe him.
-That is until one day, a month after school started, he met her.
-He and Satori were jogging when they heard a high pitched squeal followed by a SATORIIIIIII.
-Next thing he knew Satori was no longer next to him but laying face first on the ground with another person on top of him.
- “Y/N- chaaaan you’re suffocating me!!!!!”
-The girl got off him and pulled him to his feet only to crush him in a hug.
-Ushijima never thought he would meet anyone more hyper than Satori.
-Well he was wrong.
-Satori’s sister was a replica of him.
-Almost the same red hair only hers had some H/C highlights in them while they had different colored eyes, while Sato’s were red Y/N’s were E/C.
- “Hi, I’m Tendou Y/N! You must be Ushijima, Satori has told me so much about you.”
-After that the three of you became a package.
-Someone was looking for Tendou?
-Look for Ushijima he’s with him.
-Looking for Y/N?
-Follow the loud noises, it’s probably her brother and she’s with him.
-Trying to find Ushijima?
-Just track down Y/N he’s with her.
-Even teachers would follow that strategy.
-Ushijima was the first who caught feelings even though he didn’t know he caught em.
-It was your last year of middle school and you were sad.
- “But aren’t you sad that we’re saying goodbye to middle school Ushi-kun????”
- “You can see the middle school building from the high school dorms, Y/N.....”
- “Yeah but still it’s saaaaaad!!!!!”
-You had been whining since you left school grounds for the last volleyball match of the year.
-Both the male and the female teams were to compete in the same gymnasium so you decided to walk with you boys rather than your team.
-You were the team’s libero mainly due to your energy and the fact that you were the smallest person in the team.
- “I know Y/N-chan i’m gonna miss it tooo!!!”
-Ushijima couldn’t always understand what you two were going on about.
-He guessed it was a twins thing.
-Weird twin communication or something.
-But as much as he wanted to make himself shut your whines out, he couldn’t.
-Lifting his hand he placed it on your head and ruffled your hair.
- “Just imagine the high school dorms. I think the female dorms our closer to ours now.”
-After the mini heart attack from his previous action, a smile started to form on your face.
-So big and bright that you could compete with Hinata for the title of sunshine.
-Tendou started laughing and you thought he was laughing at your smile.
-But no.
-satori was laughing at Ushijima’s blush that grew darker as you giggled at your brother’s antics.
-High school was a blast.
-You and Satori would always drag Ushijima into your shenanigans and he would always let you.
-The man is weak for your puppy dog eyes.
-It was now your last year in Shiritorizawa and you were sad again.
-So sad that you weren’t focused enough during practice.
-You were called to practice your receives and you were in position.
-You looked so in the moment so ready.
-But you were far from that.
-Your mind was again on him.
-Ushijima.
-You knew that the one thing you would miss most from your school was your best friend.
-You didn’t really care about your brother because well he was your brother but Ushijima....he was a painful subject.
-Head in the clouds you didn’t receive the ball correctly and because of the force of the spike you lost your balance spraining your ankle in the process.
-The coach rushed to you, calling out to the rest of the team to get an ice pack and a bottle of water.
-She tried to pull you to your feet but your ankle prevented you.
- “It doesn’t look broken but its a nasty sprain. We need to get you to the nurse’s office.”
-Ushijima and Tendou were making their way to their own gym for practice when they saw the girls running around in a semi panicked state.
-One of them spotted the two boys and called out to the, telling them what happened *mainly because Tendou was your brother and they felt like he needed to know*.
-Instead of Tendou, Ushijima was the one who reached the gym first and was met with you on the floor a pained expression on your face.
-Your coach motioned him over and your face lit up for a split second.
- “Could you take her to the nurse? None of the girls can carry her and she can’t really walk.”
-Without uttering a word he knelt down and picked you up bride style and just left the gym.
-He told Tendou to wait for him in the gym and that he would be right back.
-Tendou being cupid himself who had seen one too many romance films, let his best friend take his crush to the nurse thanking the universe for making you so dumb.
- “I’m sorry for this Ushi-kun I wasn’t paying attention.”
- “I’ve seen that during school hours as well. What’s wrong?”
-You hesitated at that.
-Should you tell him?
-Should you tell him that you are afraid of missing him?
-That you are afraid of losing him?
-Ushijima’s own thoughts were running wild mainly due to the fact of your close proximity and how he could just dip his head and kiss you.
- “High school is over and and ...”
-Tears ran down your cheeks taking Ushijima by surprise.
-He didn’t expect you to be this sad about it and before he knew it he was whipping  away your tears.
-He looked at you waiting for the rest of the sentence.
-Mustering all of your courage you went for it.
- “I don’t want to lose you...”
- “You’re not going to lose me we will keep in touch, you mean to much to me after all. I can’t just forget you.”
-He smiled at you as more tears  ran down your cheeks and you wrapped your arms around his neck.
-He tightened his grip around you and buried his face in your hair.
-There was one thing in both of your brains.
- “I want to be more than friends.”
-You sealed that with a kiss.

a/n: the inspo for this was me having a very bad week at work haha
Nearly two month old Laila was finally started to calm down as she laid on your chest, Chase, your two your old was grumpily playing with his toys, claiming he wasn’t speaking to you because you were “mean” to him. His version of mean was you putting him in time out for coloring on the wall. You couldn’t help but let out an exasperated sigh as Chase stood walking over to you, “mommy?” He spoke sweetly, you hummed in response, carefully sitting up, trying not to wake Laila. “Snack?” He asked, giving you those big eyes, he looked so much like Tyler in that moment, brown eyes staring at you with happiness swimming in them. You let out a soft chuckle, “yeah, honey, you can have a snack.” You mumbled, carefully standing up, cradling his sister to your chest. She stirred, soon beginning to wail as you rushed to give your son his snack, settling for some goldfish crackers as it wasn’t too long until Tyler would be home and you’d be making dinner. “No!” Chase shouted, you looked down at him with raised eyebrows as you started rocking Laila. “No!” He shouted again, throwing the open packet on the ground, “Chase, pick those up right now.” You demanded, glancing at Laila who was turning red and you knew she was about to spit up. Right as you went to move her, she spit up all over the floor, it landing by Chase who started crying at the sudden appearance of it. He went to run off because he knew he was in trouble for throwing his food but his foot caught the spit up and he slipped, landing on his butt with a thud and the screams doubled.
At the sudden screaming the dogs came running over, finally choosing to check if everything was ok. “Marshall!” You gasped when he started licking up the food, “no, no, Gerry!” You snapped, visually gagging when he liked up Laila’s spit up. You scooped Chase up, grimacing as his foot covered in spit up wiped all over your shirt, Laila was still whining, desperately searching for her pacifier. “Chase, you’re fine bud.” You hated that you had to pick which child to comfort, but he was not really crying from the fall, more for attention. You set him down, watching as he wrapped himself around your leg, clinging to you, repeatedly shouting mommy, only breaking your heart further as you lugged him along on your leg, gasping in relief when you found the pacifier, popping it in Laila’s mouth. She finally calmed down, still squirming but the crying had stopped, Chase was still dramatically sobbing, your head shot over to the door when you heard it opening. “Oh thank god.” You whispered, barely hearing yourself over the crying boy. “Look, daddy’s home!” You cheered down to your son, “no, mommy!” He shrieked like you had just told him he was getting a punishment. Tyler raised his eyebrows at the sight in front of him, “hey, buddy.” He kneeled, holding his arms out for his son, who only gripped you tighter. “Tyler, can you just take her please?” You mumbled, giving him a silently begging look. “Yeah.” He sighed, pushing away the heartache of his son not even wanting to say hello, but he knew it wasn’t personal, after all Chase was in the middle of a temper tantrum. “Hi, my little-oh god, stinky princess.” Tyler mumbled taking Laila, grimacing as you both suddenly smelt her soiled diaper. You smirked, “she’s just saying how much she loves you.” You gave him a quick peck before squatting down to your sons eye level as Tyler whisked off with Laila, cooing to her about how much he missed her today.
“Look at me.” You demanded softly, placing a hand on your sons back, he looked up at you with a huge pout and tear stained face, you reached out and cupped his chubby little cheeks. You pushed your insecurities aside from letting him cry for so long, it was part of having two little kids, but it didn’t make you hurt any less. “We don’t throw food, and we don’t color on walls.” You spoke soft, but stern, he nodded still in your hold. “Are you sorry?” You asked, removing your hands, he nearly knocked you over, “I sorry.” He mumbled hugging you tightly. You smiled at his actions, kissing the top of his curly mop of hair. “You know, I think it would make daddy very happy if you went over there and gave him an even bigger hug and a kiss. He missed you today.” You spoke sweetly, Chase looked up at you with a grin, running off towards where Tyler was with Laila, Tyler was on his way back, Laila only covered in a diaper. “That was a huge blowout.” He laughed, letting out an over dramatic groan when Chase ran into his legs, you took Laila back from him, watching with a quivering lip as Chase was lifted happily up into Tyler’s arms. You watched your son wrap his arms around Tyler’s neck tightly, hugging him before leaning back and giving him a cute little kiss. Tyler enjoyed every second, it was no secret Chase was a mommas boy. “Did you have a good day?” He asked his son, but glanced over to you, doing a double take when he saw the tears pooling in your eyes. He went to speak but you shook your head, “I’m gonna go get her some clothes.” You whispered, walking past him before Chase could see you begin to cry.
You slipped Laila into a simple onesie, constantly wiping your tears as you admired the little girl before you, you loved your kids, with every ounce of your body, and always would. You’d do anything for them, and everything for them, and with that being said, you did, and you were tired. So damn tired, and you didn’t blame Tyler at all, because when he was home he was just as hands on as you were, he was never one of those dads you had to ask twice to do something, he just did it. It was hard still, most days were good, but Laila was an easy crier, so different from how Chase was as a baby, and today was a bad day, you’d been up since before Tyler had even left, Chase coming in to your room not feeling good, Laila waking early and eating in clusters all day, Chase being on his worse behavior. It just got to you today, and it made you feel worse that it got to you. It shouldn’t, you’re their mother, you shouldn’t feel so burdened, you wanted them, you prayed for them your whole life and they were here and they were perfect. A knock on the door made your head shoot up, you were sitting on the edge of the bed, Laila laying beside you, peacefully looking around. You saw Tyler standing in the doorway, arms crossed as he looked at you softly well Chase ran over to you, he had a note in his hand and skillfully climbed into your lap, he put the note down and gave you his pouty lips, not the sad ones but the ones he made when he wanted a kiss, you smiled tearfully and gave him a kiss, your heart bursting with love as he wiped the tears off your cheeks before running back over to Tyler silently. He gave you a smile as he usher Chase out, shuttling the door as they left. You opened the note, sniffling as you read Tyler’s slightly sloppy handwriting,
“don’t come downstairs until we get you!”
You rolled your eyes, not hesitating to oblige, you placed the note into the drawer of your nightstand, carefully moving to lay beside your sweet little girl. “Hi.” You whispered, grabbing her little fist when she looked at you, gurgling softly, “we’re really lucky you know, you’re daddy’s great, and your brother is gonna protect you so much when you’re bigger.” You laughed softly to yourself as you thought about the future, “don’t worry, I’ll make sure they let the good guys get to you.” You teased softly, smiling as your emotions leveled out a little, sometimes you just need a good cry. You grinned down at her blank expression, lightly tickling her stomach, her lips cracked up a little and you gasped, stopping your movements, did she just smile? You did it again, and she smiled, a real toothless smile and you cheered jumping to your feet. You wanted Tyler to see it, but you didn’t want to ruin whatever little plan he had Chase all excited about, so you pulled out your phone and FaceTimed him, he answered, holding the phone extremely close to his face, not letting you see anything. “Yes?” He sang, “she’s smiling!” You shrieked, pointing the camera to her, you did your earlier actions, her face lighting up again. “Oh my god!” He grinned, his eyes lighting up, “that’s my baby girl!” He cheered, speaking to her through the phone, she continued smiling, and you knew instantly, she would be a smiley baby now. “When can I come down?” You asked with a laugh, turning the phone back towards you, he quirked a brow. “Let me confirm with my assistant.” He joked, pausing the video you laughed, scooping Laila up as you heard two sets of footsteps running up the stairs. Really it was more of Tyler’s and Chase lightly padding before him, you hung up the phone, slipping it back into your pocket.
The bedroom door opened and your two boys smiled at you, “mommy!” Chase ran over to you, Tyler follows slowly behind him, holding his hands out for Laila, he took her but not before pressing a short but sweet kiss to your lips. “I love you.” He whispered, laughing when Chase started pulling your hand, “I love you.” You repeated to him before allowing your son to pull you along. “What did you two do?” You teased, Chase kept his eyes focused on the stairs, something he was getting better at walking down. “Patience.” Tyler scolded, walking right behind you. He laughed under his breath when you glared jokingly at him. “Oh my goodness,” you gasped, looking down at Chase who was looking at the living room proudly, they cleaned up the toys, and laid out pillows and blankets all over the floor, against the couch. Of course, yours and Chase’s favorite Disney movie was set up on the screen, Moana. You lifted your son up into your arms, he giggled as you smothered him in kisses. “Mommy, stop!” He shrieked, pushing at your face, his face turning bright red from laughter. “Alright, alright, I have to cook dinner.” You mumbled, stopping long enough for Chase to catch his breath. “Oh no you don’t, we’re having a junk night.” Tyler laughed, wrapping his free arm around you, “I ordered Chinese.” He mumbled, you sighed in relief. “Thank god.” You whispered leaning into his hold slightly. “Aw, honey.” You cooed to Laila, it was time for her to eat and she was letting you know as she went from peaceful to wailing in about half a second. You lowered Chase down and he happily cuddled himself up into the pile of blankets looking at you and Tyler cheesily. “By the time she’s done dinner will be here.” Tyler sighed, handing her over, “thank you.” You responded, he shook his head, looking over when the doorbell rang and the dogs hopped up. “Don’t thank me.” He laughed, pushing you off to the living room as he went to get the food, you sat in the chair, propping her and your arm up on a pillow as Chase paid no mind to you feeding her, he was used to it, never even asked any questions about it, which surely surprised you and Tyler.
Dinner has since come and gone, the credits to Moana playing on the screen as Chase slept on the floor in front of you, Laila was sleeping on Tyler’s chest, you had your head on the part of his chest she wasn’t taking up. “Y/N?” Tyler whispered, fingers running up your arm as spoke, “yeah?” You lifted your head, hearing the concern in his voice. “Are you okay? Really? I know it’s hard, baby, and I wish I was here more.” He spoke softly, you smiled softly, he was searching your eyes for anything, he needed an answer, he needed to know what he could do to help you. “Ty,” you mumbled, placing a hand on his face, his beard slightly tickling the palm of your hand. “It was just one bad day, you know I’d tell you if it was anything more.” You assured him, he was so attentive, he never wanted to make you feel like you had to do it all, you were equal partners in this life. “You’re a great mom, you know that?” He questioned, looking at you expectantly. “I know, and you’re a great dad, now can we please get them to bed, I just need to shower and sleep.” You teased softly, carefully standing to your feet, he laughed but agreed, following your actions, somehow you picked Chase up, carrying him up to his room, placing a kiss to his forehead once you set him down. “Goodnight sweet boy.” You whispered, tucking his blanket up over him, quietly shutting the door and walking down the hall to where Tyler was in your room, placing Laila down in her bassinet. “Come here.” You mumbled, standing in the middle of the room, he walked over to you, smiling down at your childlike expression. “I,” you paused, kissing him, “love,” another one, “you.” One long kiss, and he pulled away a little surprised, but grinning like someone just told him it was Christmas. “I love you too, so much.” He sighed, kissing your forehead softly, “hopefully they’re better tomorrow, but how about that shower?” He teased, hands sliding lower down your back. “No funny business, we don’t need another one yet.” You chastised, he put his hands up in surrender, but smirking when you walked away with a little extra sway in your hips. “Hurry up before I change my mind!” “What? No-I’m coming.” He tripped over his pants as he kicked them off following you, he laughed along with you when you were stood in the bathroom watching him with a grin. When he stepped into the shower with you, truly being nothing but sweet, showering you with kisses and whispers of sweet nothings, you knew that you would go through a hundred bad days if it meant you still had a great night like this with your little family.

Hetalia nekotalia headcanons(covering just a few of them)
It seems weird that the cats would just be called "Italy-cat" by the actual nation whose name is already Italy so I wasted my time in figuring out their possible breeds and searching up acceptable names(unless stated otherwise) for them that the nations may pick for them and even where the nations obtained these cats. I think they've come to value these cats on the same level as themselves due to how long they may have been around(the same goes for whatever other pet(s) they may own). I thought this was a fun thing to do and honestly it was! :)
Might do more when I get the time again~
***Tw for mentions of animal abuse***
Americat:
Domestic long hair, possible Maine Coon mix!
I think America adopted his cat in the 1980s. He was just a kitten, abandoned outside a supermarket in a box with a sign with one other kitten inside. At least 2 months old. America, having a big heart and soft spot for animals of any kind, took them both in. However he was already struggling to buy proper food for his other animals so he needed to find a different home for them. America ended up keeping one, as he fell absolutely head over heels for him, and named him Liberty— for obvious personal reasons. America raised him for the majority of his life as an indoor cat but with how much energy he has he decided to train him to be an outdoor cat as well, even teaching him to use the doggy door. This gave him enough room to actually grow faster into the adult cat he is now compared to if he'd ALWAYS be around America(as in staying small due to the slow aging around America).
Canacat:
Domestic longhair, possible Maine Coon mix!
Canada adopted him after America offhandedly asked. Canada was pretty stuck when it came to naming him. It was 4 weeks into owning him, mostly calling him a range of names such as Paul and Rookie but never sticking to one for even one whole day, but when Canada was just sitting there eating breakfast before leaving for his daily duties, just a normal quiet morning it came to him. Again, he was just sitting there. That is until the kitten figured out how to climb onto the chair next to him that is. He sat there meowing and pawing at Canada's thigh for 10 minutes while Canada ate. And then he tried to jump onto the table 3 times in a row. Canada gave in and allowed him up there for a minimum of 3 minutes. Not even 1 second passed and suddenly the little rascal is trying to steal the last couple bites of pancake. That was apparently what he wanted. And so Canada named him Pancake! Pancake was an energetic little kitten that a spring in his step but he did mellow out as he grew into adulthood. He's mainly an indoor cat. Come winter time when it snows, Pancake has a tendency to forget the existence of snow so he goes bolting for it only to regret it later.
Germany-cat:
A black or gray German Rex!
Germany isn't exactly a big cat person, he prefers dogs. But after this kitten followed Prussia's cat all the way home and noticed how thin he was he couldn't resist taking care of him. Germany ended up naming him Maus in reference to how tiny and often silent his meow was as a kitten. Now it's just a hilarious name as he's grown quite big and has a very strong meow! Maus is a very well behaved cat although it seems he doesn't favor being played with. He's most often seen at the top of his cat tower or in the window basking in the warm sun. As he was previously found as a stray outside he still does favor being outside. He tends to escape whenever Germany unlocks the doggy door or when Germany let's the dogs out in the backyard to run around for a bit. Maus may be a very mellow cat but he does tend to be loud when he wants food and doesn't want to wait for it. He also tends to attack people when suddenly being pet.
Prussia-cat:
An albino German Rex!
Prussia adopted him in 1998 after his and Germany's new home became a little overrun with mice. Prussia affectionately named him Gunther. Gunther was a spunky little kitten, in fact he was the runt of 6 other siblings and noticeably different to his siblings in appearance(originally thought to just take after the father's white coat despite the orange coats of his siblings and mother). Prussia chose him, the teeny little runt, after watching him easily sneak up and take down his bigger sister and win the play-fight he started. Prussia proudly took him home and trained him to catch the mice! Some years later, Gunther apparently got curious and brave and got loose outside. He was gone for weeks. He came back with a limp, a fresh scar, and a kitten clinging to his side. Gunther rarely escapes outside anymore. Prussia didn't know Gunther was albino until took he took him to the vet for his shots.
Itabby and Romano-cat:
They're both European shorthairs!
When the Italies were freshly unified and everything was still pretty awkward they were forced to go bond by taking walks every morning. Veneziano didn't mind this, he enjoyed the morning and even more so the countryside around them. Romano however could care less about it all and just wanted his bed back. Veneziano was all conversation, very observant of his surroundings as he commented on them to strike up an interesting conversation. And that's how he noticed a man cruelly stuffing two kittens into a sack on their way out of town. After alerting his brother, the two confronted the man. The man claimed these two were sick because neither were getting any of their mother's milk like the rest. Romano demanded he hand the kittens over or else he'd regret it. Veneziano annoyed him with his whining to the point where he gave in and handed them over quite harshly. Once they got them safely away from the man they took a look at the 1 week old kittens; they were both terribly skinny but clearly hanging on for dear life and the brothers both agreed, for once(well more like Romano kept saying "whatever the fuck you want"), that they wanted to help these poor creatures. Luckily for them they knew a stray cat that just had another litter of 3 and could perhaps try to get her to accept two more. And she did! Well it took a day but she did eventually take them in and feed them. Veneziano immediately decided that once they were old enough to eat solid foods he was going to keep one of them and name him Gino! It took a while for Romano to warm up to the idea of keeping even one but he eventually did. He took the other kitten and named him Sonno. They've lived so long due to just how clingy they are to the brothers. Their aging was so slowed down because of how often they're near the Italies that they didn't become fully grown adult cats until some time around 1932.
Japan-cat:
Japanese bobtail!
Named Yoshi* for being Japan's little lucky charm. Yoshi was left behind by his previous family after they moved away. He left his home and began wandering around until he got to Japan's house. Taking notice of how the cat stuck around his house, Japan began feeding him. And feeding him. And feeding him. And eventually he accepted the idea that he was now a cat owner. Not knowing his previous name, Japan decided to rename him Yoshi. Because of Yoshi, Japan began to come outside more and more each day as he is an outdoor cat that seldomly comes inside anymore. What's more is Yoshi came into his life in 1999, just a few months before 2000— aka when The Lost Decade was coming to an end as well as his personal on and off string of depressive episodes. Japan spoils Yoshi with treats and only the best cat food he can afford!
*The real name given to him by Himaruya is Tama, most likely a reference to calico cat Tama from Kinokawa, Wakayama Prefecture, Japan(that's at least what I've gathered). Before I knew this(in my early fandom days) I headcanoned his name to be Yoshi, as I said above it was a reference to luck(I didn't have as easy and unmonitored access to the internet as I do now so I never had a steady way to look these things up). I like Tama as well but I still can't get the name Yoshi out of my mind! I'm not sure if Yoshi and Tama can be combined like some names here in America can be combined(like Lilian Pad[as in Lily Pad] or Patches Poo) and I don't want to attempt it in case I get it wrong no matter how much research I do.
Austria-cat:
Domestic longhair!
Austria has quite the soft spot for this kitty surprisingly. He was born on his estate after his mother wandered in and settled between a couple bushes in his garden. He was born one of three kittens, almost entirely identical to his mother. Austria ended up giving names to all the cats but this one specifically was named Mozart— for very obvious reasons on Austria's part. The mother cat and two of the other kittens ended up moving along a year later after Austria decided to renovate part of his house; however the only one to stick around was Mozart. Austria would let Mozart come inside if only he could manage to pick him up. Mozart will jump into his lap outside, brush up against him, greet him in the morning, allow him to come near(especially with food and clean water) and even pet him but he won't ever peacefully allow Austria to carry him. Mozart was originally thought to be a Ragdoll however it was France who identified him to be a simple domestic longhair instead.
China-cat:
Burmese cat!
Originally a stray that endlessly bothered a shop owner and his own cat, China attracted his attention when he fed him only once. This cat followed him all the way to the hotel he was staying at not far from the little shop, which annoyed him greatly but honestly gave him a little laugh as well. As his car ride home was only going to be an hour at best he decided to at least attempt to bring the little fella home for proper care and attention. And obviously it worked. On his way home he decided a name like Zhi seemed perfect for him! Something told China Zhi was used to car rides and being around people, which told him Zhi was originally in a loving home. Feeling a little sad that this nice loyal cat was living on the streets he began to pamper him. Now Zhi expects to be brushed twice a day, let out at least once a day to soak in the sun's warmth and lay in the soft grass. He's fed the best food possible, has more toys that he knows what to do with. China's cellphone is overrun with videos of Zhi playing fetch— a trick he didn't teach him which, to him, is further proof he had a previous owner.
Russia-cat:
Siberian cat!
Taken in from a rescue shelter, at first fostered, then adopted. Russia kept the name the shelter gave him, Boris, as it fit him very well considering his past. Boris was unfortunately neglected when his previous owner was around. His fur was matted, he was skin and bones, upon pick up he had an eye infection. He was terribly scared of people. After being treated and showed kindness, it wasn't very long for him to open up. When Russia came along and took him in to give him all the proper attention he lacked, Boris fell in love with it. And Russia fell in love with having a cat around. Before anyone could swoop in and try to adopt Boris, Russia already put in to adopt. Now Boris is a happy healthy cat who's favorite toy to play with is Russia's supply of yarn. Boris loves bird or feather based toys the most, however, and will often drag his favorite feather wand over to Russia so he'd play. He's not much of an outdoor cat but after being kept mostly in a small cage since birth he does enjoy at least laying on the porch outside.
France-cat:
A Sacred Birman with light creamy point colouration!*
Obtained as a newly born kitten in 1992, France had offered to help nurture him as his mother had died shortly after giving birth. France named him Minou, more so in honor of his deceased mother Minet rather than it being a common French cat's name(some assume he was lazy with his naming). Minou grew up to be properly spoiled and loved by France. From the time he could see and walk properly, France began putting light outfits and accessories on him for very small amounts of time(like hats and ties mainly to avoid overheating). Minou often silently greets France at the door whenever he comes home, barreling through the hallway or off the couch in order to get some much needed love and attention. He surprisingly gets along very well with France's pet birds, only ever going after them once as a kitten. Minou can be found in his luxurious cat bed made of cardboard from the cat tower's box and a quilt France had crafted long long ago that's now drastically torn in various places. OR he can be found planting his fanny on France's face at night, nearly suffocating him. Minou seems to have a likeness for Russia and England.
*I know France-cat doesn't have any visible point colorations to him but him being a Persian doesn't fit him in my opinion, especially a blue eyed white cat. There's a high percentage of blue eyed white cats being deaf. However a common trait in Birmans are blue eyes so that, to me, fits better.
Iggycat:
Scottish fold-American shorthair mix!*
Obtained through a small litter from a colleague. England named him Lopsy  immediately upon seeing him, completely falling in love with him. Due to Lopsy's health concerns(osteochondrodysplasia) he's strictly an indoor cat. He's not very playful due to the pain he endures so he's prone to lay about, especially in England's lap, in his cat bed that sits directly under the window to reach the sunlight, or under England's bed. Despite being on them for so long, it still takes quite the struggle to give Lopsy his medication as he's come accustomed to when England is preparing to give it to him. As he's not very active, Lopsy isn't too fond of France's, America's, or Canada's cats— all of which tend to love playing together. However there are times when Minou is in non-playful mode where Lopsy will lay near or eat with him, but will absolutely refuse to lay with since Minou does have a tendency to attack another cat's tail without warning.
*The reason I see him as a mix is due to the major health concerns breeding two Scottish folds together can bring. However, breeding a Scottish fold with an American shorthair or British shorthair is often the better choice as there's less issues involved. There's talk about banning the breed all together. Even with this talk, breeding persists, preferably for cat shows from the sound of it. There's even research going into fixing these health concerns but it seems incurable due to the Scottish fold disease seeming to be a very dominant trait no matter what secondary breed it's bred with. Scottish fold disease doesn't always occur in a litter, mostly being a 50% change.
Spain-cat:
European shorthair!
Named Vivo for his lively personality, this little guy was found in the rain, drenched and hungry. He looked to be roughly 3 months old, very well fed and groomed so Spain assumed he had a family he ran away from for whatever reason. Without any other solution, Spain took him in until someone came to pick him up. A few weeks go by without anyone coming to claim him, so Spain opted to keep Vivo. Vivo is very loving, he possess a strong purr and often falls asleep purring. He's a lap cat but also has a tendency to curl up on or near Spain's shoulder when he's on the couch. Vivo is mainly an outdoor cat, often chasing mice or other vermen away from the garden without ever destroying it. Spain is pretty grateful to of found him as it had gotten quiet with Romano gone and all. And Vivo defiantly brought some noise to the house! He's not always vocal but when he is he tends to run around happily meowing for attention. He's surprisingly very territorial however— when introduced with then young kits Gino and Sonno, the Italies' cats, Vivo almost attacked them. It took small steps forward to get the three of them to warm up to each other. It also took a while to warm Vivo up to Minou and Gunther.

Coach Cavill - Chapter 4
Tumblr media
Summary: The Jung family are at a pumpkin patch and invite coach Cavill to join them.
Coach!Henry Cavill x Amelia Jung (Asian ofc)
Wordcount: 3.6k
Warnings: None
A/N: Since I’m not sure if the taglists work, I’m posting them in a reblog hopefully that works 🤷🏽‍♀Also, I’m going to delete the Tumblr app on my phone and log out on my laptop for a few days, since I have some school stuff to do and Tumblr has proven itself to be very very very distracting. However, please continue to leave comments on my fics, questions or tag me in stuff, I’ll come back to it later! It’s just that I need to take a quick break from it, to focus on my schoolwork. I hope you understand and remember, I love you all 😘
Masterlist // Previous chapter // Next chapter
After the match yesterday, multiple parents kept looking at me, as if I was the bad one, but when all in all it was Dean who ruined it all. Maybe that sounds childish, but it’s true. Since I really needed to forget about yesterday, I wanted to do something fun with the kids. That’s why I came up with the fantastic idea to go to the pumpkin patch with Benji and Isabella. We do that every year, but this is the first time after the divorce. It’s weird how activities we always did, suddenly seem like a first time ever since their dad and I split up.
We walk around the field, hoping to each find a pumpkin we want to carve out. ‘Mom, mom, mom,’ Isabella says. ‘I want that one.’ She jumps over the other pumpkins, but she can’t seem to lift her pick up. She pushes out her bottom lip, looking over her shoulder.
That’s all Benji needs to see. ‘I got it,’ he says, already walking to his little sister, lifting the pumpkin with ease. ‘How about you look for a spot?’ he suggests.
‘Okay.’
She skips to a table, her skirt dancing around her legs and when Benji walks by, I brush some hairs out of his eyes. ‘You’re a sweetheart, Benji,’ I tell him.
He smiles, a bright one even after what happened yesterday. After Dean left, he bounced right back and when we were at Eve’s place to celebrate his second place, he was fine. We didn’t bring up the elephant in the room—an elephant named his idiot father—but I felt like we shouldn’t do that in the first place. He ruined a lovely moment already at location, no need to bring that home with us. It’s just surprising that Benji isn’t taking this to heart. I wondered what changed, but I don’t need to wonder that long. I have a feeling that his new coach has everything to do with the change in behavior. After he got his silver medal, he walked up to Henry, showing his silver medal off, the biggest smile his face. It’s nice to see Benji happy, because since the moment I kicked their dad out of the house, his already shy personality, only intensified to a point where I was really worried about him.
‘I already saw one I want,’ Benji says, ‘so I’m bringing this one to Isabella and I’m picking mine, okay?’
‘Of course, sweetheart. I’m going to look for one too.’
I step over a few pumpkins, but I look over my shoulder to see Benji placing the pumpkin in front of Isabella, pinching her cheek. Isabella sees that as an invitation to jump up, right in his arms, causing her big brother to laugh.
I remember when I told him I was pregnant and he was going to have a little sister or brother. He was six at the time and he looked at me dead in the eye and said: ‘I hope I have a little sister.’
‘Why is that, sweetheart?’ I asked him.
He simply shrugged. ‘Because I feel I can teach a sister more than I can teach a brother.’ I had no clue what this kid was going on about, so when I asked him to explain, he simply smiled and said: ‘I can show her how her future husband should treat her.’
While I felt that he could teach a brother how he should treat a woman just fine, I felt my heart explode. Seeing their bond, always makes me so grateful that I have these wonderful kids. Their dad might be the biggest lowlife walking around on the planet earth, but they are the best that ever happened to me and I would do it all over again.
Even if that meant being with their dad again.
Benji grabs the pumpkin he wanted, before sitting down next to Isabella. They don’t start right away, but I know they want to, so I make a quick decision and grab a pumpkin. ‘You kids ready?’ I ask, when I sit across from them.
‘Yes, mom, we are!’ Isabella exclaims.
Benji stares in the distance and I snap my fingers in front of his eyes. ‘You’re here with us, Benji?’ I ask.
‘Coach Cavill!’ Benji jumps up and rushes passed me. I turn around, to see Benji running towards Henry, who has a huge dog standing next to him. Benji is pretty reserved when it comes to strangers. His former coach and he liked each other, sure, but it was never like this. This instant connection between my son and a coach, it’s unusual.
I feel like Benji is even closer to Henry than he is to his own father and what does that tell you? That Dean was a dick? That Henry is the male role model I always wanted to have for my kids? Or both?
My eyes nearly roll out of their sockets, when I see the most unexpected event happening right in front of me: Benji wraps his arms around Henry’s waist and I can’t exactly hear what he is saying, but Benji isn’t shutting up.
Henry smiles, patting Benji on his back, before pulling him in a headlock. He holds up his hand when he notices me gawking at the sight and I raise my hand to wave back at him. ‘Mom, is that Benji’s new coach?’ Isabella asks.
‘He is, sweetheart.’
‘You like him, don’t you?’
What a way to get exposed… ‘What?’ I ask her. ‘I mean, he is nice, of course.’
‘Well, you made him not one, but two sandwiches,’ Isabella says, before giggling. ‘You never make sandwiches for people you don’t like. When you and daddy were fighting, you’d never make him a sandwich the next morning.’
‘You should become a detective,’ I smile. ‘Sharp as a knife.’
Benji ushers Henry with him and he asks when he is close again: ‘Mom, can coach carve pumpkins with us?’
‘I really don’t want to intrude,’ Henry adds, but I shake my head and say: ‘No, no, you can join us. I think Isabella really wants to pet your dog and your presence is well appreciated.’
‘I do want to pet your dog,’ Isabella says. ‘He is cute.’
‘He sure is,’ Henry agrees. ‘His name is Kal.’
Isabella stands up from her seat and carefully pets the big furry dog. ‘Kal is soft. He kinda looks like a bear, don’t you think?’
‘I do think so too,’ he says.
‘Coach,’ Benji says and I barely recognize my own son, ‘you should grab a pumpkin.’
Henry looks at me, non verbally asking if I’m really okay with this and I give him a little nod, encouraging him to join us. I mean, I like this man a lot, I’ve been having pretty vivid dreams about him, so spending time with him is absolutely something I don’t mind.
He quickly grabs a pumpkin and places it on the table. ‘I’ve never carved a pumpkin before,’ he admits.
‘You haven’t?’ Isabella asks. ‘You are such a weirdo.’
‘Isabella,’ I say, using my stern teacher/mother voice. ‘You can’t just go around and call people weirdo’s.’
‘But you always call dad an idiot.’
Oh great… I’m setting a terrible example for my kids and now Henry is a witness of my wrong doings as a parent. Exactly the type of impression I want to make. ‘But that is different.’
‘How is that different?’ Isabella asks, cocking her eyebrow and now she is really testing me.
‘Well,’ Henry says, ‘your mom knows your dad. You barely know me. I think there is a difference in who you can call bad names.’
Isabella stares at the man sitting beside me, studying his face, before she nods. ‘Yeah, you’re right,’ she says. This girl agrees to someone outside own her family? What the hell is this man’s secret that my kids just simply accept him and like him? ‘Sorry, I called you weirdo, coach.’
‘That’s okay.’ The beautiful man who is sitting beside me, has a friendly smile on his face. ‘But, Jung family, show me how this is supposed to be done.’
✰ ✰ ✰
‘Mom, the skin is too thick,’ Isabella whines.
‘Let me help you, Isabella,’ Henry says, wiping his hands clean on the cloth, before standing up and walking around the table. He sits next to Isabella and saws out the part she was having trouble with. ‘You’re right,’ he admits, ‘the skin is pretty thick. You sure did pick out a good one.’
‘I have x-ray eyes.’ Isabella stands on the bench and she is approximately the same height as Henry is. Though she is eight, she is a pretty tiny girl, always has been and probably always will be. She wraps her arm around his neck, placing her cheek against the top of his head. ‘Coach,’ she says, ‘do you think my mommy is pretty?’
‘Don’t answer that,’ I tell him. ‘And Isabella, remember what I told you at least a dozen times already? Don’t go around and ask that to people. You’ve done that multiple times now and every time it’s harder and harder to talk myself out of it, okay?’
‘Okay,’ Isabella says with a shrug, ‘but you are really pretty and I think coach agrees with me.’
This girl… I don’t know who she’s got this attitude from, but sometimes I wish that she would just zip it from time to time.
‘Isabella is right,’ Benji decides to butt in. ‘You are really pretty, mom.’
This really isn’t the time to be blushing this hard right now.
‘See?’ Isabella has a smug smile on her face and whispers loudly in Henry’s ear so I can hear it too: ‘Do you agree with us? Just nod or shake your head.’
Henry chuckles, before nodding nearly shyly. If my face wasn’t fiery red already, it sure is now. ‘Anyways,’—Henry awkwardly clears his throat—‘I think yours is done, miss Isabella.’
‘Thank you very much.’ Isabella sits down on the bench again, while Henry helps out Benji with one thing on his pumpkin.
Henry is such an easy guy to be around with, that not only I feel comfortable with him, but my shy son and my sassy daughter feel so too. He sits down next to me again. ‘Need some help, Amelia?’
‘I’m okay,’ I say, but I can’t seem to move the knife anymore.
‘Let me help you,’ Henry offers.
‘You know,’ I say, pushing the pumpkin to him, ‘for someone who has never carved a pumpkin before, you sure are a pro at it.’
He actually gets the knife to move, but it pleases me to see that even he has some issues with it. Through his sweater, I can see how thick his arms are and my oh my, does this man look strong as hell. Am I hallucinating or is he flexing a little extra?
‘Excuse me,’ I hear a shy voice say and when I look up, I see it’s Hattie Fisher, the sixteen year old sweetheart who lives in the same street as us. ‘Miss Amelia?’
‘Hi Hattie,’ I say with a smile, ‘how are you?’
‘Good, thanks.’ She runs her fingers through her light blonde hair and I always thought that in combination with those doll like eyes, she’d have potential to become a very successful model. ‘I just have a question. Is this a right time or do you want me to come by tonight?’
‘Please, go ahead.’
‘For school we have to do this thing, where we check out a few professions and I wanted to try and work at a school. I was wondering whether or not I could go to your class.’
I nod. ‘Of course you can, honey. I would love to. When is this starting?’
‘Not until three weeks, but can I drop by tomorrow. Bring some paper work, if that’s okay with you.’
‘Yes, yes, of course,’ I say. ‘I would love for you to help me out a bit. They can be quite a bunch, so an extra pair of hands would be lovely.’
‘Thanks, miss Amelia, you’re the best. I feel like I could actually learn something when I’m with you. My dad wanted me to help him out, but that meant serving the old men at his office coffee the entire day and I feel like I’d die out of boredom.’
‘Oh honey,’ I say with a chuckle, ‘I had to do the exact same thing when I was still in high school and I went to work with my mom at the retirement home and after the third round of bingo, I was ready to to murder at least one elderly.’
Henry, Isabella and Benji start to laugh along with Hattie. ‘Kinda want to avoid that,’ Hattie says.  ‘I’ve seen the men that my dad works with. Some just ask to be murdered.’
I wholeheartedly agree, because I have been to mister Fishers office a few times, since mister Fisher himself was my lawyer to get me through the divorce and while he is a lovely man, his colleagues are terrible.
‘Hattie, what’s with the camera?’ Isabella asks.
‘Oh, my mom wants to have some new pictures for the towns Instagram, so you know how she is: sending me out there to document everything, while she takes takes the credits.’ Hattie nearly rolls her eyes. ‘Oh, Bella, this one actually looks really good.’
‘Why do you sound so surprised?’ Isabella asks, as the teen is taking a few pictures of our pumpkins.
Hattie curls her lips inside. ‘Well, when I was your age, I could barely draw something decent on a pumpkin, let alone carve it out, like you did. It’s quite impressive really. Since I’m here, you guys mind if I take a picture of you?’
‘Sure,’ I say, ‘if you don’t mind…?’ I carefully look to the side, to Henry, who simply shakes his head and says: ‘I absolutely don’t.’
‘Okay, say pumpkin,’ Hattie chuckles, before snapping a picture of us. ‘Looks really good. You mind if I post these on Instagram later?’
‘I don’t,’ I say.
Henry shakes his head. ‘Of course not, Hattie.’
The blonde teen smiles brightly. ‘Good. I’ll see you tomorrow then, miss Amelia. Thanks again for helping me out.’
‘Not a problem, Hattie. I’ll sign off on all sorts of paperwork, but we’ll discuss that tomorrow.’
✰ ✰ ✰
While I’m making tea, I hear Isabella and Benji talking Henry’s ear off, as his dog Kal is joining me in the kitchen. It lightens up my mood to see them so at ease with someone else outside of their familiar circle. I’m not surprised that Isabella is instantly fond of him, but Benji keeps on surprising me. He is seeking approval from Henry, something he never did with his father. He asked us if we both liked his pumpkin and I could see the worried look in his eyes when Henry was pretending he had to think about it.
Maybe this is way too premature, but seeing him in my house, it just fits. I never had a dog, because Dean was allergic and we’ve been together since I was nineteen. My parents never wanted a dog, until I moved out at age fifteen. All of the sudden they were experiencing empty nest syndrome and got themselves a tiny little toy poodle.
But this enormous dog in my house, it just matches perfectly.
‘Is this your mom?’ Henry asks, pointing at a picture on the wall.
‘Mhm,’ Isabella says, ‘she used to be in a K-Pop group.’
‘No way.’
‘Tea is ready,’ I say.
Benji walks in and sits on the kitchen island. ‘Mom was the main vocalist and visual of the group.’
Henry leans against the counter, thanking me for the tea. ‘Really? I can imagine what a vocalist is, but what exactly is the visual of the group?’
‘The prettiest,’ Isabella explains. ‘She is obviously the prettiest.’ She sits next to me on a stool and gives me a kiss on my cheek. ‘She was really good. Mom, you should sing something.’
‘No, not today.’
‘She was in the group ‘Forever Hope’, so you should check it out on YouTube,’ Isabella says. ‘I want to become a K-Pop idol too one day.’
I wrap my arm around her waist and pull her closer to me. ‘But I continue to tell her that it’s hard work and this little girl is as lazy as they get.’
‘That’s not true!’
‘It’s true,’ Benji agrees with a chuckle.
Henry takes a sip of his tea, his eyes not leaving me once. ‘Well, your mom is full surprises.’
‘Did you know she used to do judo too?’ Benji asks. ‘I’ve got it from her.’
‘I did not know that,’ Henry says, the smile on his face a bit bigger than before.
Despite living in the public eye for two years, I don’t want all the attention to be focused on me. ‘Not to be a party pooper,’ I say, ‘but I’m gonna be one, because it’s my job as your mother. Benji, Isabella, did you finished your homework?’
‘No,’ he whispers, while Isabella shakes her head.
‘You know what to do,’ I chuckle.
Isabella nods, takes a cookie and jumps off the stool. ‘Bye coach,’ she says, ‘thank you for carrying the pumpkins back home.’
‘No problem, kid,’ he says, giving her a high five as she passes.
‘Thanks coach,’ Benji says and they have this cool handshake I wasn’t aware of and I hide my smile when Benji chases Isabella up the stairs.
‘Your kids are lovely,’ Henry says.
‘There sure are. Listen, Henry, thank you for today.’ I scratch the big dog behind his ear. ‘I know I keep saying this, but… It’s good for them to have a male role model that is there for them.’
‘My pleasure.’
‘So, what brought you to Luna Meadows?’ I ask him, not wanting to talk about my divorce or anything related again.
‘I was in a desperate need of a change a scenery.’
‘Why?’ I ask.
‘I just needed to get out of there, before I totally lost my mind.’
‘Where are you from then?’
‘Jersey,’ he answers. ‘It was just… Too much at one point.’
My mom and teacher instincts kick in, because I can sense he doesn’t want to talk about it anymore. ‘Well, we’re very lucky to have you here. It’s good every now and then to shake things up a bit.’
‘It sure is.’ He wraps his hand around the mug and while it’s the biggest one in our house, it looks like an espresso cup in his hands. ‘Back at the game you told me you were not here from your fifteenth till eighteenth. Had that something to do with you being a K-Pop idol?’
I nod. ‘Yeah, that was my change of scenery.’
He smiles. ‘Must’ve been hard.’
I can’t do anything but to agree. ‘Yeah, especially since I wasn’t planning on becoming an idol. I was just an exchange student, but I was approached by a company when I was at a fan sign with a friend.’
‘And you became a main vocalist, that must’ve been pretty important.’
‘It is, you kinda have to carry the entire song. Not that I sang all the time, but the chorus, mainly me, just like the high notes, adlibs, stuff like that.’
Henry nods. ‘And being a visual, must’ve been hard too.’
‘That too. It’s an insane amount of pressure, always having to be picture perfect,’ I say. ‘I mean, I don’t want to complain. It was such a great time in my life, an amazing opportunity. And every time Isabella says she wants to do this too, I just hope that one day she comes to terms that it’s hard work and… That it was terrible from time to time.’
Henry leans with his underarms on the counter. ‘How was it terrible?’
‘The days were so long, filled with training, singing and dancing and performing,’ I say, ‘I had to maintain my figure and… I don’t want to complain, because it was amazing. I had eight girls around me, who were going through the same thing. I was never alone.’
‘You still speak to them?’
‘Occasionally,’ I say. ‘Most of them are still in the industry. They barely have time.’ I feel warm tears running over my cheeks. ‘Oh shit, sorry, there I go again. I’m sorry, you must think I’m an emotional wreck, a terrible example for her kids.’
Henry chuckles. ‘Amelia, that’s not true. You’re not an emotional wreck, you’re just in touch with your emotions. You’re an amazing example for your kids. Yesterday…’ he starts, clearing his throat. ‘You did what any mother would’ve done. You stood up for your son and that is more than admirable.’ He looks at the clock. ‘Ah, shoot, I’ve gotta go.’
‘Oh yes, of course.’
‘I really had fun today. The Jung family is a fun one to hang out with.’
A chuckle leaves my lips. ‘We sure are.’
‘Can you hold onto Kal for me, then I’ll go and say goodbye to Benji and Isabella.’
I nod. ‘Sure, yes. Their names are on the doors and please don’t look into the bathroom. I collect the laundry there and I might have forgotten to do it since Thursday.’
‘Copy that,’ Henry chuckles and he rushes up the stairs, taking two steps at the time. I hear faint voices in the back, some laughter, while I give Kal some scratches and kisses. Henry comes back down and says: ‘Well, I really wish I could stay, but I’ve gotta go. I’m sorry.’
‘Save your apologizes for when it’s really needed,’ I say.
He smiles. ‘Right, I’ll work on that. I’ll see you tomorrow at practice, Amelia.’
‘Want me to bring you a sandwich?’ I ask.
‘I’m never saying no to a sandwich made by the fantastic Amelia Jung.’

Chapter One: The One Where it Starts
Warnings: N/A
Word Count: 1615
Being an adult in general is a wild roller coaster. Whether it be balancing bills, expenses, keeping a proper career, all together it was a stressful period. Going to the bank or answering phone calls was difficult enough. Seriously, what is with people and constantly calling? It’s so much easier to just text. Not to mention it keeps the incredibly anxiety ridden people at bay, and leaves them in a sane state of mind without worrying about anything.
That brings us to the protagonist of our story. Lily Briar Osborne. The 33 year old child of Abel and Alicia Osborne. She was the sister to two younger siblings, Rose and Cedar. Can you sense a theme with the children's names? Even Lily herself seemed to carry on that legacy with her own son. While balancing her busy work and just life in general, Lily mothered a young boy named Hunter. Hunter Osborne-Harvey. The eleven year old boy that was the result of a much too early marriage of two young kids who believed this was it, they had found the one. Well, that was not exactly the ending of their fairy tale. It instead involved a mistress, many trips to Grandma and Grandpa's, and a few too many shots in order to handle one another.
Lily was more-so a quiet girl. Definitely more of the silent type in comparison to the majority of people in her profession. She was a pediatrician, and the only time you really see her talk or even crack a smile, is when she was with the kids. She was always found making sure they felt comfortable. When the young ones were gone, she seemed to shut down. Giving straight and to the point answers. Not elaborating unless asked, and strictly sticking to just the facts.
Lily and Hunter had found home in a small colonial home in the suburbs of Manhattan, New York. There, they can be found in the company of a German Shepard named Joey, after the beloved sitcom, Friends. You could always find the small family laying in Lily's bed with the comedy illuminating the room around them. Every other Sunday and Saturday before Hunter's father came to pick him up for the weekend, they'd lay in bed before going out for brunch at Lily's best friends cafe further into the city.
Which is where the story began. a sunny Saturday morning in September.
-----
"If he doesn't like you, it's a moo point."
The two Osborne's laughed softly at the comment made by their favourite sitcom character. Lily's fingers gently ran across the arm of her son, creating a soothing rhythm as they watched the sitcom, his head laid comfortably against the pillows. The large dog laid spread down at the edge of the duvet where his breathing radiated gently through the room.
"Alright why don't you head in to get dressed and we'll go to Aunt Gen's cafe, hm? Sound like a plan kiddo?'' Lily's feather light voice cooed as her hazel eyes moved to glance over at her son.
"But I wanna stay home all day and watch friends." Hunter whined as he nuzzled further into his mom's bed.
"No love, I'm sure your dad has lots of things planned for the weekend. And we can watch more episodes when you're back tomorrow, okay? I promise." Lily sighed while lifting her pointer finger to her son.
The pointer finger promise was Lily and Hunter’s signature thing. Instead of making a pinky promise, which was the weakest finger, they used one of the strongest. to make the strongest promises. That is exactly what they would do. And they'd know that if they broke it, trust would be something that had to be earned back. And luckily for Lily, she trusted her son with her whole being. He told her everything, as far as she knew. Seeing as she wasn't in his head, who knew? Though he was very vocal about his distaste for visiting his father, and it did hurt Lily to hear the pain he felt. The separation agreement allowed Scott Harvey, Hunter's father, to have the young boy every other weekend.
Lily was lucky enough to have primary custody. Mostly because Scott was never a fully invested father before the divorce, so the court had no issue granting Lily the majority of the custody. But of course, Scott could come by whenever to see Hunter, as well as if he had something planned, he could pick up his son. But...Hunter wasn't the biggest fan of his father.
     Neither was Lily.
Lily and Scott got divorced a few years ago when Hunter was a ripe 7 years old, and now he was 11, and still lacked the father figure he longed for. In those 7 years, Scott never really put an effort in. and hunter was a smart kid, and already harbored a distaste for the distant nature of his father. and it annoyed him, and Lily, that all of the sudden, after the divorce, Scott wished to be the great father he never was before. Despite his many attempts, it never worked out well for him.
"Promise." Hunter smiled gently and wrapped his pointer finger around Lily's, before sliding out from underneath the white duvet that covered the two of them, startling the dog that laid at the end of the bed.
As Hunter left the room, a small sigh escaped the blonde doctor's lips. She hated these days, when Hunter had to go visit his father. But she knew it was important for a child's psyche to have at least a relationship with their father. Picking herself up as well, Lily heaved herself into her closet. She picked out a white spring dress with blue baby's breath designs splayed across the entire piece of clothing. It was a tank top strap, and it was the end of summer and a small breeze danced through her window. She slid a blue jean jacket over her arms before stepping into her bathroom to complete her basic routine.
After she pulled her hair into a pony, lily stepped out of her room after calling Joey out and down the wooden stairs to the main floor, where Hunter sat at the front door with his backpack and Converse on. Lily couldn't help but smile gently at her punctual son and felt proud of how she had raised him. And how he had grown to be a self-sufficient boy who was also able to ask for help when need be.
"You gonna get the pancakes again today kiddo?" Lily wondered while stepping into her ballet flats and ruffling  the fur on Joey's back before opening the white door for her son.
"Aunt Gen keeps putting secret blueberries in them and acting as though they're chocolate chips. I don't trust her anymore."
-----
Lily and Hunter stepped out of the silver 2019 Honda passport, the two Osborne's took a deep breath of the muggy New York air. Hunter stood by Lily's side as she paid for the parking spot they were lucky enough to grab in the busy streets. She slid her arm around the boy's shoulders, before leading the two towards the fairly busy cafe her best friend owned.
Genevive Fairchild. Lily's best friend for close to 20 years now. The two had met during their highschool orientation back in 2005. Gen was the extroverted hippy with conservative parents who disagreed with their child's decisions and mannerisms. She was always wearing what was to become her signature dreadlocks with golden decals littering her hair. Baggy shirts with fishnet cardigans and ripped jeans, the necessities to embody Gen. She entered the school loud and unbothered by others opinions or thoughts on how she acted or what she wore. But somehow, she was taken with the quiet blonde who kept her opinions to herself, hands tucked behind her back.
Lily hadn't changed much in these twenty years, much to her parents dismay. Her parents were elated when their timid daughter brought home the boisterous and carefree Genevieve. Lily's parents were the same as Gen, unbothered and one with the Earth, no real care about people's opinions. Her father was a botanist and her mother a conversationalist. Plants and crystals littered the eco friendly home of Lily's childhood in the rural area of Long Island, New York. To see their studious, goody-good, daughter who wore knee length dresses everyday and cardigans, to bring home such a carefree spirit, was a breath of long needed fresh air for them.
Ever since then, the two were inseparable. Lily even made her the godmother of Hunter. They both had keys to each others places, and nothing ever seemed to get in between the two of them. Other than those many years Scott wreaked havoc on their friendship. He kept Lily under some sort of spell, no matter how many times Gen attempted to convince her of the terrible manner of their relationship. Eventually, Gen gave up on the fight. until the young chocolate skin girl caught her best friend's husband getting it on with some girl at a party Gen was invited to.
And that was the end of that marriage. Gen stayed with lily almost every night while everything was happening. And when her or Scott couldn't get Hunter up to Lily's parents, Gen would take him. Make sure he wasn't too focused on the broken state of his mother.
As the two pushed open the door to the cafe, they were greeted with the fresh smell of coffee and pastries. That is, before they were practically being tackled by the woman earlier mentioned.
"You two will NOT believe who is here right now."

Part 1 of yet another series I'm starting!
This one is just gonna be fluff and comfort, little to no whump, because sometimes I just want to write about characters having a great time
This doesn't have much of a plot, it's more a collection of memories that make me happy combined with pet whump
Keaya is a pet who acts kind of like a service dog for his master whom isn't really a whumper but neither caretaker, just a pet owner
Tagging;; nobody rn
-- tw;; pet whump --
The sun was ever so slowly coming up in the distance. Keaya was the first one awake so he could make breakfast for his master. He had made a simple omelette, he knew his master Diona loved eggs, He couldn’t go wrong with that. Today would be a stressful day for her apparently. Something about a wedding, he wasn’t sure, but he knew a simple meal is best when master is stressed. He sat on his dog bed obediently, looking out the glass doors, taking in the nice view.
Keaya made sure to check the clock every now and then, he had to wake master up on time. As soon as the clock hit 12 he ran to master’s room upstairs. To his surprise, she was already awake and getting dressed. He froze up for a bit, master never woke up earlier, this was new. She had her back turned, searching through her wardrobe. He could tell she was stressed by her movements, twitchy and fast. Quietly he walked over to her and whimpered softly to get her attention.
“Hng.. Oh, hi pup. Is it 8 already?”
He nodded and gestured at the clock.
”Fuck.. Okay. I’ll be down in 5 minutes, go wait for me downstairs.”
He nodded again and left the room quietly. Master was really stressed today, he wondered where they were going. He grabbed his blanket and placed it next to master’s chair so he didn’t have to sit on the cold floor. Patiently he waited for master. The omelette smelled nice, and made it feel hungry. Maybe master would allow him to make one for himself too. When she came downstairs she was dressed in some fancy looking dress. He tilted his head in curiosity. Were they going to a party? That would explain her stress, its master got scared during parties.
Diona sat down in a hurry and quickly ate her breakfast. He gently tapped her leg whenever she started to eat too fast. It wasn’t Keaya’s first time seeing his master act like this, but it was strange seeing his usually calm master be so nervous. He rested his chin on her thigh and looked up at her, sighing. She stroked his hair and pushed some strands out of his face. That seemed to help her calm down a little.
“Today is a really important, so you need to be on your best behaviour okay?”
He nodded with a smile. It always tried to be on its best behaviour.
“Good. There’s gonna be a lot of people so you need to make sure you stay close to me.”
He nodded again as she rose from her seat. She put the dishes in the sink and started to head back to her room, pausing on the stairs.
“You can go make yourself breakfast, pup. We’re leaving in an hour.”
Excited he got up and made himself an omelette with what he had left over. While the egg was cooking, Keaya took his harness off the hook by the front door, and put it on to save master some time. Today was an important day, he had to be alert and obedient. He used a spatula to put his omelette on a slice of bread, and sat down on his dog bed to eat it. He could hear master pacing around upstairs, looking for something he assumed.
The pacing suddenly stopped, with a soft thump following. Instantly he stopped chewing and perked his ears up, listening for some form of movement. Everything was silent, that never meant good. He quickly ran upstairs to find master on sitting on the floor crying. He kneeled next to her and put his head against her chest, trying to calm her down. Once she was calmer he readjusted his position and hugged her silently.
He didn’t let go until her sniffling died down. Master must’ve been feeling very upset. He made a mental note to pay extra attention to her today. She ruffled his hair with a small smile and got back to pacing around. Keaya stayed on the floor, watching for a bit longer to make sure everything was fine, before going back down. He shoved the last of the omelette in his mouth and started to get everything ready.
First he made sure to refill her water bottle, it was gonna be a warm day today, so it was important that she had enough water on her. Then he made some sandwiches, in case she got hungry, and put them in his pouch attached to the harness. He didn’t really understand where they were going so he just packed the basic things and hoped it was enough. If there were gonna be a lot of people then it probably was a party of some sort.
He opened some of the windows and did a double check around the house to make sure nothing changed. They still had half an hour left, so Keaya took the opportunity to lay in the sun for a bit. He settled in front of the 2 glass doors, curling up in a ball. The sun felt nice and warm, he enjoyed it. He hoped he could also stay in the sun wherever they were going. Slowly he relaxed under the blanket of warm sunlight and drifted off into a light sleep.
He got woken up from his short nap by footsteps. They had 5 minutes left now, and Diona was gathering her stuff.
“You ready?”
She clipped the leash on to his collar. He nodded excitedly. Where they were going would be a surprise to him, and surprises are fun. She lead him to the car and let him jump into the back. He liked looking out of the window while they were driving, curiously peeking at all the cars going by. The car ride was long but he didn’t care, the music playing from the radio was enough to make time pass by quicker.
Master parked the car and Keaya immediately started looking around. They seemed to be at a park, the grass fields were way bigger then the ones at home. Diona opened the door for him, letting him jump out and sniff around. A group of people further away caught his attention. They had tables standing around with tons of food, chairs in rows, lots of flowers and tons of other stuff set up. He looked at master and back the group, confused and curious.
“My sister is getting married today,” she explained. “We won’t stay long but you know how my family treats pets, so ignore anyone trying to get your attention.”
She took his leash and they walked to the wedding together. When they got closer Keaya could hear the music and smell all the food. He recognized some of the people standing around but most were strangers to him. He followed Diona and stood next to her, not really paying attention to the conversations, rather taking in the place around them. Everyone was wearing fancy clothing, while Keaya was wearing a loose t-shirt with shorts and a harness.
Master sat down at a table with her parents, he knew them, they were friendly. He obediently kneeled next to her. The grass felt nice, much nicer then a wooden floor. He would roll around in it if he could. But he couldn’t, he had to focus and make sure master was okay. It was way louder then he had anticipated, he kept looking around thinking he heard something strange, but it was hard to tell. He had to rely on sight to make sure nobody came too close to master.
He watched closely when master’s dad stood up from his chair and walked over to him with a treat in his hand. He stuck his hand out so Keaya could smell it. Gently he took the treat from his hand and chewed on it. Master’s parents always took treats with them for him, unlike most of her family who hated him. He just ignored their disgusted and disapproving looks. He knew master loved him and that’s all that mattered to him.
After what felt like ages of waiting, Diona and her parents stood up. He followed them to the rows of chairs on the other side. Everything was nicely decorated in white and pastel colors. Master sat down on one of the chairs and gestured for him to sit between her legs, which he did without hesitation. Lots of people sat down around them and the seats filled up quickly. Different music started playing, and he turned to look at master to make sure everything was fine.
People started walking down the middle, one wearing a big flowy dress. Keaya got distracted and almost didn’t hear master’s breathing starting to go faster over the loud music. He rested his head against her leg, whining softly. That was enough for her to start playing with his ears and hair, calming her down again. He closed his eyes and relaxed into the touch. They were sitting under the shadows of trees, making the warmth more bearable. He didn’t pay attention to the guy talking through a mic or the people cheering. He wouldn’t understand what was going on either way.
Eventually the music stopped and he opened his eyes to see if it was over. People started to get up, he looked at master to see if they were going too. She ruffled his hair and also got up. She said bye to her parents and sister before they headed back to the car. He jumped into the back as soon as she unlocked the car doors, and laid down on his blanket.
“You did really well pup,” Diona complimented. “Do you want to get some snacks at home?”
He perked his ears up and nodded with a smile. He loved the snacks they sold on the beach they lived next to. She gave him a smile back and closed the door. They took a shorter route on the way home, passing through the city. It was a lot more crowded and busy, Keaya couldn’t imagine living there with master. They both preferred the quiet beach with little to no people around. It was only really busy during the summer vacation, but that was fine for them.
Master had taken him to the city before to do shopping when it wasn’t as busy. The city was massive and a bit intimidating to him. It was too easy to get lost in all the streets. They only drove through a small part of it and were out fairly quickly. He could see the familiar hills in the distance, the ones signifying they were close to home. He got more and more excited the closer they got, he couldn’t wait to lay down and roll in the warm sand of the beach.
Once they finally arrived home Diona walked them to the beach restaurant and ordered french fries for the both of them. While they were waiting she let him play in the sand outside. He dug a hole in the sand and started to roll around in it, getting sand everywhere in his clothes and hair. He didn’t seem to mind and just shook it off before continuing. When the order arrived she called him back and they sat on a bench eating their food.
The beach was empty for the most part despite the nice weather, there were only a couple people. The sounds of seagulls flying by and the waves hitting land was relaxing. Not a lot of pets lived around beaches, he was the only one in their neighbourhood, and he felt really privileged for it. His previous owner lived in the city, and he wasn’t nearly as nice as master Diona. He enjoyed every moment he could spend outside, where he wouldn’t be reminded of the dark basement he was in for so long.
“Should we go back home, pup?” She pushed some strands of hair out of his face. “You look tired.”
He nodded, he did feel tired after today. They headed back home, which luckily wasn’t too far away, his legs had started to hurt. He immediately went to his dog bed and dragged it over to the window so the sunlight would hit it. He plopped in it and fell asleep after a couple minutes. Meanwhile Diona sat outside in her lounging chair with a drink, drawing in her sketchbook.

Princess of SAMCRO (Juice x Reader)
Tumblr media
“Jaxy!” You whine from the leather black couch in the living room of your mother’s house. You’re Jax’s sister, Gemma’s only daughter and the princess of the SAMCRO. Gemma has been raising you after her own heart, teaching you not to take any shit from anyone, especially the boys in the club. You’re about 4 years younger than Jax, which meant you barely got to know your father, John Teller. He still haunts your memories, his bike crashing into the semi when you were a little girl. You were 12 when he passed, and he was even coming to get you from school. It was a special day for you since you almost never got to ride with dad on his bike. It was when Opie’s dad Piney came up on his bike, you knew something was wrong. You could see Piney holding back tears as he dropped down on one knee, opening his arms welcoming you in. He was the one who broke the news to you. You were heartbroken and all you wanted was your mom and Jaxy. Now, you’re 26 and have Jax wrapped around your little finger, and you keep that boy in line as best as you can “What do you want princess?” He exasperated, crossing his arms, looking down at you with a warm smile. You were the princess, and everyone treated you like one. “Can we go for a ride of your bike?” You looked up and him a big smile on your face. You begged Jax to let you get your own bike, he just repeats every time “I won’t let you taint such a pretty thing with pink like we all know you will”, you wanted to be apart of the club, but the whole no girls rule held you back from it, and Jax would never let you go in the line of danger. “Alright I guess.” He says, defeat in his voice. He could never say no to you. You were his weak spot in the metal armour, he always kept you heavily protected, always made sure at least one person was with you at all times. It usually consisted of Opie, Happy, Tig, Juice, or Chibs. Jax wouldn’t trust anyone else with his baby sister. “Yay!” You jumped up into his arms. “And Jaxy?” You take his hands into yours with a pouty face. “Can I please get my own bike?” You looked up at him with a puppy dog face, just begging him to let you fit in a little bit with the guys. “That’s up to mom Y/N.” He shook his head at how ridiculous his sister was acting. You smiled, letting go of Jax’s hands before heading to the garage to get your helmet. Jax bought you one since you’ve been begging him to take you around so much. “Oh!” A lightbulb just went off in your head. “We should go visit the club!” You said with a grin and you picked up your helmet, turning around to face your brother. “If you say so.” Jax ruffles your hair before exiting the garage. That made you grumpy and you tried to fix your hair without a mirror. Jax just threw his leg over his bike laughing at how vain his sister is. God is she beautiful. He thought to himself, see his mother in her. Jax neglected to put his own helmet on, and Gemma Teller was on top of it. “You better put your helmet on boy.” She hollered at him from the from door as she leaned into the door jam. Jax shook his head smiling as he reached behind him to get him helmet. “I’m 30 mom, I think I got this.” He says with a shit eaten grin on his face as he strapped in on underneath his chin. Gemma went back inside, but not before blowing a kiss to her daughter. “Bye mom!” You yelled into the house. You walked over to Jax who was on his bike. You strapped your helmet on just as Jax started the bike, revving the engine. You throw your leg over the bike, feeling the vibrations go through your bones which gets your adrenaline pumping. You grab onto Jax’s leather kutte loosely, loving the freeing feeling. -Something happens at around 92 miles an hour - thunder-headers drown out all sound, engine vibrations travels at a heart’s rate, field of vision funnels into the immediate and suddenly you’re not on the road, you’re in it. A part of it. Traffic, scenery, cops - just cardboard cutouts blowing over as you past. Sometimes I forget the rush of that.- Jax pulled up to the club, backing into the first spot in the rows of bikes. You take your helmet off, leaping off the bike before Jax even turns it off. The boys just got back home from a very long run, to Las Vegas, and you missed all of your boy.! “Ope!” You beamed as you leaped into the big bears arms. He’s basically a second brother to you, and you loved him and his kids were amazing. “Hey there shorty.” Opie smiled. Jax stayed back, lighting up one of his cancer sticks that you hate. You wished that he would just stop smoking. You still want a brother in 20 years, but he can’t get that through his thick skull. You said your hellos to everyone else, having drinks with everyone catching up and laughing like you haven’t seen each other in 10 years. The last one was Juice, who you didn’t see in the clubhouse. He must be in his dorm. “I gotta go pee.” You blurt out before hopping off of the bar counter and down the long hallway that holds all the dorms. At the very end, you even have your own dorm. Because when it comes to lockdowns, you’re the first one to be brought here. The third door on the left. You repeat in your head. Being one of Jax’s watchdogs, Juice and you have become very, fond, of each other. Even though it breaks one of Jax’s forsaken rules, you’ve started to fall for Juicey. You give a light knock on the door before slowly opening it. “Juice?” Your voice is barely a whisper. You’re so nervous, and you can’t place why. “Hey, Y/N.” Juice greets you and he appears from the bathroom, a towel around his waist and hot water dripping all over his built chest. You close the door behind you, locking it. You rush over to Juice pressing your lips to his. Juice melts into the kiss, his hands resting on your waist. You press your forehead to his with a big smile spread across your face. He’s made you the happiest girl ever, even if your relationship is kept a secret, and Juice could tell. “I missed you baby.” He whispers before kissing your nose. “I missed you too Juicey.” You wrapped your arms around his neck. “What was your excuse this time?” He asks you looking into your eyes. You giggled thinking about it. “I just kinda.. Blurted out that I had to pee.” You giggled out. Juice started laughing at you. “You might be the most blunt girl I’ve ever met.” He says and kisses behind your ear which is your sweet spot. You bite your lip smiling. “I actually do have to pee, but then I should get back out there before someone starts getting suspicious.” You softly kiss his lips one more time before going into his bathroom shutting the door, sitting down on the toilet to pee. Once you finished doing your thing, washed your hands and walked out. Juice now had a pair of jeans on but no shirt. You make your way over to him, kissing his forehead. “You should go out first, then I’ll come out in a minute or two.” Juice gives you a big hug and a final kiss behind the ear. You nod, sighing. You honestly hate keeping this a secret. But you knew that if Jax found out that he would probably kill Juice. You looked down at his back chest, finger tracing over his tattoos before unlocking the door and walking back towards the boys. You sit down next to Chibs, laying your head on his shoulder. “You need to let yer brother know lass.” He says, with lots of consideration in his voice. You just nod, trying to get yourself back into the mood. You took one of the shots that was sitting on the table and down it, the alcohol burning your throats but you love it anyways. Juice comes out, with a plain black shirt on and his leather kutte lying on top. You don’t know how, but over time, Chibs eventually found out about your secret relationship with Juice, but you both knew he would never spill the beans about it, that was your job, not his. You all sat and drank, some of you playing pool, for a few hours before Jax cleared his throat to speak. “Well, as fun as this is I think I should be heading home. I need to tuck Abel in. And Wendy would hate me if I came home late again with nothing going on.” Jax stated, looking over to you. “I think I can get a ride home from one of the guys. Please? I miss them!” You begged and pleaded. Jax became father-like to you whenever Gemma wasn’t around, it didn’t matter if you were 26 fricking years old. “Alright I guess, don’t stay out too late.” He mumbled with one of those stupid cigarettes in his mouth. Tig and some of the other boys started laughing. “Boy, she has you whipped, wrapped around her little finger.” Happy grinned over at him with a whiskey in his hand. Jax flipped all of the boys off shaking his head. “Your helmet will be on Chibs’ bike.” Jax told you. You nod, giving him a sweet smile in thanks. Jax walked over to you, placing a kiss on your head before walking out toward the bikes. All you heard was the rumbling as he started it, before it faded into the distance. 6 hours later For the most part all the boys cleared out, either had to get back to their ol’ ladies or needed to sleep the alcohol off. It seemed that whenever you came to the club, drunkenness always followed. Ope was about to head out, he grabbed his kutte from the back of the chair he was sitting on. “Do you need a ride?” He asks you. You shake your head before placing it on the table. You were sleepy, and you thought about just crashing here. “I think I’m gonna stay here. I’m too drunk to move.” You groaned before letting out a cute, high pitched hiccup. Ope shook his head at you. “Alright, you should give Jax a call, he’d probably want to know.” Ope says before heading toward his pickup truck, starting it up and going home to Donna and his kids. Chibs sighed, crossing his arms as he looked at you. “Yer gonna stay here with Juice aren’t ye lass?” He raised his eyebrow at you. “I never get to spend time with him, and I’m wasted. My luck I’d fall off the back of a bike.” You giggle at the thought of that one. You’re a very clumsy being. You trip on flat ground, hit you elbow or hipbone or toe on furniture all the time, you walk in to walls. Not a good sight, and it gets even worse when you’re tipsy, and when you’re drunk that’s a whole other story. “If ye say so love. Just be careful, ye don’t want Jacky finding out on his own. Yew should be the one to tell him.” Chibs gives you yet another one of his lectures. You nod. “I’ll talk to Juice, maybe we’ll tell him tomorrow.” You looked down at your hands as you spun your thumbs around in circles. “Alright lass, I’m gonna head home. I probably have an impatient Jarry waiting on what’s taking me so long.” You both laughed at that. You got up, stumbling down the hall. “Juiceyy!” You whined, holding yourself up against the wall. You press you back against the wall as a mean of support as you take off your heeled boots. Juice steps out of his dorm, leaving his door open. “Hey, what’s up?” He asks rubbing his face with his hand. You clearly just either woke him up, or stopped him from trying to sleep. You extend your arms after you get your boots off trying to get him to bring you to his room. Juice walks up to you and picks you up. You immediately wrap your legs around his waist. He could smell the alcohol radiating off your skin but he didn’t care. This wasn’t the first time he got to spend the night with you, but it was the first time with you this drunk. “Hey, hey. Lay down babe.” He cooed in you ear as he laid you down before going back into the hall the grab your boots. He came back, setting your boots by the door. You unbuttoned your white jeans and tugged them off. Juice went into his drawer and pulled out one of his white SAMCRO shirts for you to sleep in. You tossed your jeans by your boots, or as close as you could get them before lifting up your turquoise crop top and tossing it by your jeans. You happily took the shirt from Juice and slipped it on. “Thank you.” You whispered looking up at Juice. He gently took your face into his large, calloused hands before kissing your lips. You kissed him back placing your hand right on top of his “son” and “shine” tattoos that are on his chest. Juice pulls back and looks into your eyes. “There’s no need to thank me Y/N, I’d do this for you any day. Now cmon, lets lay down” Juice pulls you back onto the bed so you’re laying down. You both get under the sheets before snuggling into each other. Juice didn’t want to take advantage of you tonight, you were too far gone. So he just cared for you and let you stay in his bed. Soon enough both of you drifted to sleep. The Next Morning The light shined into the room. You grunted as you sat up, your head pounding like a bitch. Blinking and looking around you realized you weren’t in Juice’s room, you were in your own. He must’ve carried you into the room this morning, he’s always been an early riser. Some knocks on your door and it makes you groan. “Come in.” You barely manage to get out. God you drank way too much last night. Jax walks in with his arms crossed, looking at you with a disappointing look on his face. You pull the comforter higher up to cover Juice’s shirt that you were planning on keeping hostage. “Mom said you didn’t come home last night. And you didn’t leave either of us a phone call, nuthin’.” Jax explains to you. You nod. “I stayed here. I figured I was way to drunk to sit on the back of a bike and I even have my own bed so why not?” You say looking down. “Hey, hey. I’m not mad darlin’. I just wish you left us a message. Mom was worried.” Jax rests his hand on your leg. You nod. “I was wayy too wasted for that Jaxy.” You giggled. He smiled laughing at the thought of the message you would have left either of them. “Alright, well I gotta take the boys to school. But I just wanted to stop in and check in on you.” Jax says patting your leg before exiting your room. You lay in your bed thinking to yourself. Maybe it’s time I move out and get settled in my own place, maybe even get a job. You gross yourself out at the thought of that, but you wanted to become more independent. You’re 26 still living with mom. But then again, your situation isn’t exactly the same situation as normal girls. You were the princess of the Sons of Anarchy Motorcycle Club for Christ sake. You sigh to yourself. You know you need to get out of bed eventually. You toss the covers off and walk over to your closet, rummaging through the clothes you have there. You pull on a pair of black activewear shorts and leave Juice’s shirt on. Peaking down the hall, you make sure the coast is clear before top-toeing down the hallway in case any of the prospects or the other guys are still in their dorms. The wooden flooring beneath you creaks, and you bolt. Going into Juice’s room. You know what door that was, Happy’s, and you know if he found out about you and Juice he would feel obligated to tell Jax. And you couldn’t have any of that today. Not unless you were the one to spill it. “Easy there tiger.” Juice laughed. You just sigh sprawling yourself out on his bed. Juice was wearing his boxers and nothing else, you caught him in the middle of changing. But you didn’t care, all you cared about was the conversation you needed to have with him. “So, I don’t know if you know. But Chibs somehow knows about us.” You started. You sat up, propping yourself up on your elbows. “We were talking last night. And it’s kind of fuzzy, but I still do remember a little bit. He thinks we should tell Jax.” You finished you sentence looking up at him. He puts his jeans on before sitting down next to you. “Is that what you want?” He asks. “And I mean you. Not Chibs. And not me. You.” He clarified. You looked over at him. “Yes. I don’t want this to be a secret anymore. It’s been going on for 4 years Juicey. I just want to be able to be in the same room as you and everyone else, not worrying about showing too much feeling towards you. I’m sick of the croweaters being all over you, And I don’t want someone else spilling the beans either, he’d disown me.” All you can do is choke up at the thought of that. “Don’t think like that baby. I’m perfectly fine with it.” He looked down at you, wrapping his arms around you pulling you against his chest. You kiss his jaw lightly before standing up. “Thank you babe.” You thanked him, running your hand over his freshly shaven mohawk. Juice gently pushed your head up and pressed his lips to yours. His kisses were so soft and sweet, it warmed your heart. You kissed him back, moving onto his lap and wrapping your arms around his neck, bringing yourself closer to him. You hear the roar of a single motorcycle from outside Juice’s window, Jax must be back. You hop of Juice’s lap. “I need to change my shirt so he doesn’t flip his shit right off the bat.” You smiled, blowing a kiss to Juice before rushing down the hallway into your room. You grab the closet thing you can find which happens to be a white tank top. It’ll have to do. You walk out of your dorm, down the long hallway into the clubhouse. Jax walks in just as you do. You look over at him before walking over to him. “Hey Jax, can I talk to you for a minute?” You ask him trying to mask just how scared you are. “Yeah of course you can sis, what’s up?” He drapes an arm around your shoulder as you walk back outside to sit on the picnic table. Your heart is racing, about to beat out of your chest. Jax sits down, his back facing the door to the clubhouse and you sit on the other side of him. You look behind Jax to see Juice, now fully clothed, leaning against the doorframe. Chibs comes behind him, patting him on the shoulder. “How’d you find out?” Juice asks him. “She’s always sneaking away while you’re gone. And it doesn’t take 20 minutes to take a piss last time I checked lad.” Chibs grinned chuckling at how stupid you two must think he is. “So, Jax. I don’t really know how to put this. I want to start off with please don’t get upset with me.” You start off, looking down at your hands. “For the past 4 years- I’ve been.. I’ve been kinda seeing Juice secretly. And, I really like him Jaxy..” You trail off, not knowing what else to say. Hesitantly, you look up into Jax’s eyes not knowing what to expect. Anger? Sadness? “I had one rule Y/N. Don’t date a patch.” Jax’s voice was barely a whisper. You nod, looking down again. You began to feel disappointed in yourself. “I’m sorry Jaxy. You just don’t understand..” You tried to explain. You couldn’t form the right words anymore. You were so close to breaking down right there. “What do you mean I don’t understand?!” He starts raising his voice. “Having someone watching you 24/7? Always having someone right there behind you. Shit I can’t even go to a store to get personal shit on my own Jackson! You would never understand that!” By the end of your sentence you were crying, the dam broke and you couldn’t handle it anymore. All that was left to do was walk away and let Jax take it all in. You slipped out from the picnic table and went to go back inside, but Jax grabbed your arm stopping you from doing so. “Don’t you understand? All I wanted to do was keep you safe! You know the risks that come with this shit.” He was still yelling at you, but not for the same reason anymore. Now, he was hurt. You could see the sadness in his pretty blue eyes. “I know you wanted to keep me safe Jaxy. But you have to let me be a big girl. I love Juice.” You looked over at Juice, who was in the same spot you saw him in last. He knew this was hard for you, but he also knew this had to happen. Jax let go of your arm and sighed pushing his hair back. “I need to ride and clear my head.” He says walking over to his bike. You go over to Juice and Chibs. “He probably hates me now.” You sighed out as you wiped your eyes of the tears. “I doubt he could ever hate ye lass.” Chibs rubs your shoulder, trying to let you know that he’s here for you. You just shrug, it’s been a really emotional day for you and it’s only noon. Well, now that your relationship with Juice is out in the open, you don’t have to hold back. And that feels great. Juice wraps his arms around you, hugging you. You hugged him back pressing your face into his chest. Tig walks in with a raised eyebrow looking over at you two and then Chibs, who took the hint and walked away. Tig leaned against the bar looking at the two lovebirds. “And what the hell did I miss?” He asks Chibs pointing over at you guys. “They’ve been together for years, they just broke the news to Jax who didn’t take it so well. I had to keep Juice from interfering. Y/N and Jax needed to yell it out which turned into riding it out and in Y/N’s case, cry it out.” Chibs explained to Tig. Tig nodded, understanding the situation. “I never want to leave your arms.” Your voice was muffled by Juices white shirt, which now was stained with tears. Juice guides you back down the hallway into his dorm, knowing you don’t want an audience to watch you have a breakdown. You sit on Juice’s bed, with your back pressed up against the headboard. “Do you want me to get you a change of clothes from your room babe?” He asks sitting in front of your curled up legs, rubbing your bare leg. You nod wiping your eyes of the tears. “Just get me a pair of grey sweatpants, and a set of bra and panties if you would.” You ask him sniffling. He nods before heading out of his dorm to head down to yours. You go through his top drawer and find your favourite long sleeve SAMCRO black shirt of his. It smelled like him, and you loved it. Juice comes back in with exactly what you asked for and his shirt that you tried, and obviously failed, to hide from him. You just want one shirt of his, but now that everything is out in the open he might not have an issue with it. “I think I’m gonna take a shower, if you don’t mind.” You put down the shirt of Juice’s on his desk chair. You walk into the bathroom, nudging the door shut with your foot which in turn meant it didn’t shut all the way. You start to strip, taking your tank and shorts off, followed by your bra and panties. You grab your kimono that you have behind the door and put it on tying it around your waist. Juice had always let you leave little things in his dorm. Like your kimono so you can take a bath or a shower, a toothbrush, a brush and shampoo and conditioner since he damn well doesn’t have any hair. Just small things. You turn the shower on, letting it warm up before you get in. Juice sneaks up behind you without any warning and puts his hands on your waist, which scares the shit out of you. You jump, turning around and smiling realizing it was the one and only. “Don’t do that!” You scold him and slap him shoulder. He laughs a little before kissing your lips. His arms go from around your waist to gripping your ass. Your bodies pressed so close together you can feel his bulge start to grow. He moves one hand up your back, his fingers leaving a trail up your spine before he settles on the back of your neck. He uses it to pull you into a deep kiss, biting your lower lip softly. You pull his shirt over his head and toss it out of the bathroom and you place kisses down his neck and chest before sinking to your knees. You undo his belt, and unzip his jeans tugging them down a little. You pull down his boxers and his member is proudly protruding in your face and lick the tip of his cock. You suck on the tip, teasing him with it. Looking up you see Juice biting his lip and throwing his head back. You take the base of his cock into your hand, pumping slowly. Taking in more of his dick is when he began to moan, putting a hand on the back of your head. You hollowed your cheeks as you took in more of him, with his hand holding you there. As you came up, you dragged your tongue along the underside of his cock, which always turns him on. “Fuck Y/N.” Juice was barely able to get that out. You went back down, taking his entire, very large, length into your mouth with hollowed cheeks and keeping it there with the tip of his cock hitting the back of your throat .”Jesus Christ.” He moans louder. Juice can’t help but grab ahold of your hair, he does that when he’s close. That’s when he takes control. He begins to fuck your mouth, thrusting in at his own rhythm each time his tip hitting the back of your throat before his letting his hot seed shoot to the back of your throat. Juice slowly stopped, before pulling you up and kissing your lips. He untied your kimono, leaving it on the floor as he grabbed your boob. He took your other boob into his mouth, his tongue swirling around your nipple. You moaned loudly, grabbing the back of Juice’s neck. He pinched you nipple as he bit your other nipple, causing a gasp to escape from your lips. You took Juice’s face into your hands bringing him up and kissing his lips. “So how about that shower?” You ask Juice with a wink. He couldn’t get his pants the rest of the way off quicker. You get get into the shower first, letting the hot water wash over you. Juice gets in behind you, wrapping his arms around your waist. He pushes your hair out of the way before kissing your shoulder. You put your hands on top of his, moving your head to the side for easier access. Juice turned you around, pressing your back against the cool tiles which makes you arch your back. He grabs his own dick, pumping himself a few times before lifting one of your legs with his free hand and slowly inserting himself into you. Juice starts a slow and steady pace, stretching and filling you perfectly. You grab him face and give him a sloppy kiss, which make him increase him speed. You moan against his lips, biting down on his lower lip and tugging. “You’re so tight baby.” He moaned into your ear. You dug you nails into his shoulder blades in pleasure as you ached your back, pressing your chest closer to his as the hot water flowed between the two of your bodies. Juice groaned as his thrusts became faster. You dragged your nails down his back, leaving red scratches all over. His hands grabbed your waist as he brought you down one last time, both of you reaching your climax. Juice comes inside you, his pace slowing down but not stopping as he helps you ride out your orgasm. He presses a soft kiss to your lips, so warm and gentle. “I love you Juicey.” You mumble against his lips. A big, goofy smile spreads across his face. “I love you too Y/N.” He whispers. Juice pulls himself out of you, letting your leg fall back down to the bottom of the shower. The hot water continues to run over you both. Juice grabs the body wash and starts to bathe you, letting the suds form around your whole body. He takes his sweet time, enjoying every part of this. You grab your shampoo and wash your own hair as Juice caresses your breasts. You take what’s left of the shampoo on your hands and rub it through Juice’s mohawk. You finish up bathing each other before getting out, wrapping yourselves in towels heading back into the room. Drying yourself off, you slip into your panties that Juice brought, which are his favourite pink lace ones with the matching pink lace bra to match it. Juice sits on the bed with his black boxer briefs on watching you get dressed. You slipped on his shirt before going over to him, straddling his waist. You give him a sweet tender kiss on the lips before you’re rudely interrupted by a knock on the door. “Jax is back.” Tig gave you both a heads up just before you could hear his boots walking off in the distance. You toss your head back grunting. “My brother has to ruin everything.” You say sliding off of Juice’s lap getting your sweats on. “He’s just being protective of you, and I can understand why.” Juice says from behind you as he gets his jeans and boots on before putting on a fresh new white shirt. Your subconscious was telling you that you shouldn’t wear this shirt, that it would upset Jax, but you didn’t care. It gave you comfort. After you were both dressed, you lead the way down the hall to see a still rather pissed Jax standing there with his arms crossed, waiting for you. Everyone cleared out, except for Chibs who sat at on a bar stool. And you stand in front of Jax with Juice behind you waiting for whatever is going to happen. “I understand that you have feelings for each other. But, I just can’t handle my baby sister dating one of the patches.” They’re my brothers Y/N. Jax explained to you with a raspy voice. “I’m not a baby Jackson! I’m 26 years old, I think I can make my own choices, and Juice is my choice. Take it or leave it.” You barely stood your ground, your voice had a slight quiver to it. But you didn’t cry. “I’m gonna leave it then. For now at least. I can’t handle it but I’m not gonna make you two break up because of it.” Jax turned around and walked back out. Chibs got down and followed him out and you could tell he was upset with Jax. You turn to Juice, truly saddened by everything that went down today. “It’s gonna be okay baby.” Juice stepped forward taking him into your arms. Chibs jogged over to Jax, who was sitting on his bike smoking a cigarette. “So what? Yer just gonna disown yer own sister? She’s in dere heartbroken because of ye.” The scot scolded Jax for his behavior today. “She’ll survive. She’s just like her mother. And she brought this on herself.” Jax spat taking a drag of his cigarette, the smoke filling his lungs. Chibs wanted to smack him for that. “Ye know son, keep talkin’ like that and yer gonna get yerself a beating one of these days.” Chibs finished before walking away towards T.M. Jax didn’t know what to do anymore. He should’ve known this was going to happen, but he was oblivious to the fact. Juice sat on the roof with your head in his lap, your body stretched across the couch. “I don’t know what I’m going to do anymore Juicey.” You sniffled. You hadn’t been crying in a little bit, but you always had the sniffles after you cried. “Come stay at my apartment. Get away from Jax and Gemma for a little bit.” Juice suggested as he stroked his long fingers through your hair. You shifted your body so you were now laying on your back and looked up at Juice. “Really?” You asked him. He nodded. “You’re always welcome at my place Y/N, you know that. You need a break from family for a little bit. I can see it in your eyes.” Juice told you. He was amazing. You sat up and kissed his lips and he kissed you back. He pulled away and stood up offering his hand out to you. You take it and let Juice pull you up. You both walk over to the latter that leads back down to the hallway. Juice went down first and then you followed after him. Juice got a nice look at your ass as you carefully climbed down. As you walked down the hall he slapped your ass, which you turned around and gave him a glare for. “Babe, do you have a bag that I can pack stuff in? I don’t have anything here and I don’t wanna go to moms house. She asks too many questions.” You asked Juice as you both walked into your room. “Yeah, I have my backpack that we use for runs. I’ll go grab it for you.” Juice offered, grinning from cheek to cheek. You’ve never stayed at his place, yeah you’ve hung out there with him but you’ve never spent the night there before. This was a big leap for you two, and you were as happy as you could be about it. Rummaging through your clothes, grabbing only the bare necessities knowing you could come back for more. Juice walked in, with the black backpack that had the Sons patch right on top in hand. “This should do.” He tosses it on your bed before sitting on the edge. You finish packing, putting a pair of black sneakers on. “I’m ready Juicey.” You smiled and pressed a kiss to his lips. Both of you head out, walking down the hallway. Juice lead, with you following but your hands laced together. You had Juice’s backpack on your back, which caught some glances. “What was Y/N doing with a Juice’s backpack on her back?” Was the thought going through everyone’s heads. But some knew. They heard everything that went down today, it’s kind of hard not to when two siblings are screaming in each other’s faces. You both ignored the stares and the whispers. Your secret was out, and you didn’t want to waste any more time hiding your love for your Juicey. You did catch one particular persons eye. Jax, who still sat on his bike pissed at the whole situation. And now what? Juice was taking his sister to live with him now too? That angered Jax even more, as he took a final drag of his cigarette. He threw it on the ground, crushing it with his foot. “I’ll go get your helmet off of Chibs’ bike. Just go wait by my bike.” Juice nods over to his Harley before walking over to the bike that just had to be next to Jax’s. “If you hurt my sister I swear to god-“ Jax had full blown anger in his voice, but was cut off by Juice. “Looks like you’ve already hurt her enough.” Juice told him, looking dead into his eyes. Jax curled his hands up into fists, snarling, before reaching up and knocking Juice in the face sending him back a couple feet. You drop the backpack next to Juice’s bike before running over to Juice, as Jax just punched a second time. Juice socked Jax in the face right as you got there. You stood between them, trying to keep them from ripping each others heads off. Tig and Happy came rushing over to see what the commotion was, noticing a bloody Jax and Juice. “Enough both of you!” You snapped. They looked at you with disbelief. You shook your head in disgust at your brother, whose hair was a mess. Grabbing Juice’s arm you yanked him away from the group of guys and back to his bike leaving Jax to get cleaned up by Chibs most likely. “Will you be okay to ride?” You ask him sighing at how childish he was acting. “I’m fine baby.” He smiled looking down. He had a cut on his eyebrow and one on his lip. He was most likely going to have a black eye. “Okay sweetheart, I’ll clean you up when we get to your place.” You whisper placing a kiss on his nose lightly careful not to hurt him. Juice got on his bike, starting it up. You put his backpack on your back, and grabbed your helmet, latching it on tightly under your chin. You throw your leg over the bike, wrapping your arms around his waist and pressing your head to his back as he pulled out. The roar of the bike filled your ears, as Juice drove away. *** Juice pulled up to his apartment, the rumble of his bike softening and he kicked out the kickstand letting his bike stand up on his own. You got off the bike and unstrapped the helmet still letting it sit on your head. Juice also got off and grabbed the keys of his bike which also had his house keys on it You both walked up the stairs before getting to his apartment. “Home sweet home.” He smiled before opening the door. You set your helmet on the table and the backpack right next to the door. “Lets go get you cleaned up.” You tell him, looking up at his face which had blood running down it. Grabbing his arm, you dragged Juice into the bathroom. “Sit.” You command. “Love a girl who can take control.” He mused with a grin spread across his face as he sat on the toilet seat. You rolled your eyes at the comment. You went back into the hallway of his apartment and into the small closet to grab a rag. Going back into the bathroom you wet the rag begin to lightly dab the blood off of his face. When is he going to stop getting beat up? Is all you thought yourself as you cleaned up your beaten boyfriend. The head wound now has a bandaid on it, which is good enough, and there wasn’t anything you could really do for the cut on the lip. So you just lightly kiss it better. “Do you want something to eat?” He asks you, changing the subject off of him and onto you, nothing new for him. “I’m not really that hungry, do you wanna play video games?” You offered as an exchange. He smiled standing up as both of you walked out of the room and over to the couch. You were a girl of his own heart. Juice turned on his PlayStation and put in Mortal Kombat for you two to play before walking back to the couch and sitting. You loved playing with Juice, you both were very competitive with your video games. The princess never liked to lose, and Juice didn’t believe in letting people win. Juice had one leg on the couch with the other on the ground, bent sitting comfortably. You sat down in front of him with your legs crossed and your back pressed to his chest. This is how you two always sat while playing video games, until one of you were on a winning streak and the other thought you were cheating so they moved to the floor. After hours of kicking each other’s asses, with you both having small winning steaks, you yawned loudly starting to get tired. You paused your current match and turned your body around so you were facing Juice. “I’m tired, can we watch movie or something?” You asked resting your head on his shoulder.”Of course baby.” He kissed your cheek before slipping out from underneath your body to go glance at the movies. “What movie do you wanna watch?” Juice asks you. You didn’t even have to think twice about it. “Star Wars!” You giggled reaching in front of you to get a sip of water. He smiles to himself as he puts the new Star Wars movie into the DVD player. Juice walks back to the couch. “God I love you.” He said with a smile reaching his eyes. “I know.” You said back. It was a cheesy quote, but you knew Juice would love it, and he did. He bent down and gave you a kiss on the lips. You get up, letting Juice spread out on the couch so you can lay on top of him. The movie started and both of your eyes glued to the screen. You both were huge nerds, something you had in common. Jax always made fun of you for it growing up. As the movie went on, you found it hard to keep your eyes open, your eyelids feeling heavy. You finally stop fighting it and close your eyes, snuggling closer into Juice’s side.Juice had his arm around your waist, rubbing small circles into your lower back. He grabbed the remote and turned the movie off. Carefully, he picked you up and you instinctively wrapped your arms around his neck and your legs around his waist as he carried you to his bedroom. “Y/N, baby. Let go and lay down sweetheart.” He cooed in your ear. He gently lowered you onto his queen sized bed. You took your sweats off, tossing them by the wall and took your shirt off doing the same. Juice took his pants and shirt off, leaving both of you in your underwear. You got under the covers, you might have struggled being half asleep but you managed, and Juice did the same He spooned you, wrapping his arm around your waist pulling you as close as possible to him. You shoved your cold feet in between his legs, startling him slightly but he let you keep them there. Eventually, you both slowly drifted off to sleep. Your eyes flutter open at the sound of birds chirping outside of the window. Juice’s arm is still locked around your waist, with his warm breaths on the back of your neck. You turn around so your facing him, his eyes still closed. “It’s rude to stare yknow.” Juice mumbles, his voice heavy from sleep. You smile and placing a kiss on his nose. “How’s your head?” You question quietly, gently grazing your finger over the bandaid on his eyebrow. A light shade of purple started forming under Juice’s left eye. You sigh typo your spelt in disbelief. Why did they have to fight? You thought to yourself “It hurts, but I’ll be okay baby.” He reassures you, placing a kiss to your forehead. “Do you want me to make breakfast?” You ask him looking up into his eyes. “That’d be great babe.” He agreed and slid out of the covers. You take in his body, like you do every time you see him with his shirt and pants off. You bite your bite smiling as you watch him get dressed. “Enjoying the show?” He walked over to your side of the bed and leaned over you, kissing your lips. “You bet I am Juicey.” You grin as you get out of bed yourself. Juice playfully slaps your ass as you walk by him. You turn around and blow him a kiss before walking out, heading towards the kitchen, not bothering to get dressed. Juice knew what you were playing at. He knew you were trying to drive him nuts walking around in only a lace bra and matching thong. And god was it working. He followed you out of the room and into the kitchen sitting down at the dining table to observe you as you cooked. You went into the fridge to see what you had to deal with. Juice kept a fully packed fridge, full of healthy and fresh food. Everything in his house was spotless, all organized perfectly. Juice’s phone rigging from the coffee table takes his attention away from you, and sends a wave of confusion over you. Juice walks into the living room grabbing his burner phone. “Hello?—“ He asks. The answer he got caused him to furrow his brows. “Hang on.—“ You can hear the seriousness in his voice and it worries you. Juice walks into back into the bedroom and grabs his kutte, coming back out and stepping outside to have the conversation in peace. You begin to hyperventilate at the thoughts running through your mind. Did something happen to Jax? Or your mom? Or Abel? You try and shake the thoughts out of your head as you walk into the bedroom grabbing one of Juice’s shirts. Putting it on, you take a inhale deeply into the soft fabric. It may not be him, but it always stopped a panic attack in its steps. “Alright.— I’ll get us there as soon as possible.—“ Juice’s voice came back into the house as you heard the door close behind him. With the click of his phone, footsteps came towards the room. You turned to him waiting to see what he has to say. “What’s going on Juan? Who was that?” You start to panic. He walks over to you, making shushing sounds as he takes your hands into his. “Shh, babe calm down.” He runs a hand through your hair. He knows your triggers, you have always had issues with anxiety. After you two got together though, his OCD tamed down and your anxiety did the same. But you still had your flair ups, like you were having right now. “The clubs in some deep shit with the Irish. We’re going on lockdown. That was Tig on the phone and Jax told him that he wants you there right now. He’s pissed about a bunch of shit right now.” Juice finally explained to you what was happening. Juice wrapped his arms around you, seeing that everything he just said made everything worse for you. “We shouldn’t have told Jax, this probably just made stuff worse for him.” You mumbled. You were feeling so weak right now. If your mother saw you, she would be disappointed. She raised you better than to cry at everything that came your way. “It’s gonna be okay babe. Everything is gonna be okay.” Juice whispered, his words covered in love and kindness. He slowly slid down onto the floor bringing you down with him. He pressed your back to his chest, with you sitting in-between his legs. His arms were tightly wrapped around you as you brought your legs up to your chest. This is how you got your anxiety to pass, and it almost always worked. Your breathing started to regulate after what felt like hours of being curled in a ball hyperventilating, and your heart rate slowed to its regular pace too. “You okay now baby?” Juice place a soft kiss on the back of your neck. You nod getting up and taking one last deep breath. “Do you think it’s gonna be a long lockdown? I don’t know how long I can take of an enclosed space with my mother.” You offer Juice a hand to help him up, trying to be kind even though you both know if you really had to do that he’d pull you down before you’d pull him up. He takes it, and pushes himself up while using your hand to pull you into a hug. “It’ll be okay Y/N, you’re always able to get through it. You sigh in defeat, nodding as you pack up what small bag you had. “You might want to get some pants on though, everyone is gonna be at the clubhouse.” Juice winks at you. You just roll your eyes. Yeah like I’m gonna go there like this. You thought. You pulled out a pair of black jean shorts, putting them on and putting the backpack on your back. “Let’s go back to see the wrath of my brother.” You grumbled as you walked out of the house, both of you hand in hand. Juice pulled up to the clubhouse and the prospects had to open the gates. Slowly pulling in, you see the loved ones of all the bikers gathering in and around the club. He parks his Dyna and you get off, placing your helmet on the back of the bike. You see Jax leaning against your mom’s office door, smoking a cigarette. Should I go over there or wait for him to come to me? You were repeating your options in your head. Juice snakes an arm around your waist which brings you out of thought. “They’re probably going to be calling us to church soon.” He warns you as you both walk up to the crowd of people. “I know.” You say placing a kiss to his cheek. Before walking off to say hi to the old ladies that you’re going to be stuck with for who knows how long. Juice and yourself parted ways as Juice went to go talk with Chibs and Bobby about club stuff most likely. You did however catch the eye of Gemma who came over to you, bumping into people along the way. “And where the hell have you been, sweetheart?” Your mother demands, crossing her arms and tapping her foot. You give her a grunt at her actions. “Didn’t Jax tell you?” You answered her question with another question. She just shook her head and grabbed your arm pulling you outside of the club so you could have a private conversation. “Tell me what?” She raised her eyebrow at you. You sighed. Of course he didn’t tell her, you had to. “I was with Juice.. At his place.” Your voice trailed off as your rubbed your arm uncomfortably. How was she going to take it? Was she going to be like Jax? Or was she going to be like Chibs? A grin spread across her face. “So you two finally came out, huh?” She said smugly. You let out an uneasy laugh, it seemed almost awkward. “Y-yeah. Jax didn’t take it so well.” You stammered over your words. “Of course he didn’t baby, you gotta give him some time. You press him too hard and you both will end up more hurt than where you started.” You nodded at her response before giving her a kiss on the cheek. You walked back into the club to see the boys make their way into church. Juice looks over his shoulder at you and you give him a wink before going to see where your little nephew got into. You see Wendy sitting at the table with Abel on her lap coloring in his superhero coloring book. You sit down across from them with a smile on your face. “Hey there little man, whatcha doin’?” You ask him as you peer over his crayon. “Just coloring, why were you with Juice Aunty?” He asks you as he switches out colours. Your smile widened at his question. You loved Abel to death, you were there when he was born and you helped her get clean after that. You even helped the two stay together. Not only for Abel, but because you knew how much they loved each other. You were both of their sound boards when they had a thought day, and they’d talk about each other nonstop but refused to say it to the other’s face. So you made them, and look where that got them? The two of them a happy family with Abel. “He’s Aunty’s boyfriend.” You looked down at Juice’s shirt as you said that. It’s the first time you’ve called him your boyfriend out loud, and you loved it. Wendy looked at you with happiness across her face and in her face. “So Y/N finally found someone.” She giggles out. You couldn’t help but laugh with her. She was happy for you because she knew how much of a pain your brother was, how he scared off anyone you dated growing up. Hell, he even got Ope and Happy to join in sometimes. “I did. And I’m gonna go grab a beer, do you want one?” You offered her as you stood up. “Sure hun.” Wendy ran her hands through her sons hair as she answered you. You nodded as you walked over to the bar. Phil the prospect was standing behind the bar serving the drinks out to the old ladies that had to stay here for the next few days or weeks. “Hey there Phil,” you start with a smile. “Two beers please love.” You asked him as you took a seat in the booth. Phil was one of the prospects that they called in when they made Half-Sack a full-patch. He gave a short nod before going into the fridge behind him, and handing you two cold beers that are already opened. He never did talk much, he still was shy even though he’s been a prospect for almost a year, so you always tried to be as sweet as can be with him. “Thank you.” You thanked him before walking back over to Wendy and handing her a beer. You both took a sip out of your beer before all of the guys walked out of church with Jax proudly leading the pack. “Alright everyone. We’re sorry to inconvenience you, but if you’re here you probably know why. You’re important friends and family to the club and we don’t want you getting hurt.” Jax explained to everyone in the clubhouse, he says the spiel every time we go on lockdown. “Bad stuff is going down right now, and we have a target on all of our backs. So we ask you to be patient while we sort this out, but we don’t know how long this will take.” He finished before walking off to do god knows what before the club goes out to risk their lives. 5 hours later This was always the hardest part of lockdowns for you. When the boys, who you considered either brothers, best friends, or father figures, went out to do who the hell knows what, killing who knows how many people, for who knows how long. Within the past for years on lockdowns you only got to say goodbye to Jax and the rest, maybe a vague goodbye to Juice and every time it killed you. What if he got killed? And you didn’t get to give him a kiss goodbye. Just a good luck and a pat on the back. You two were extra cautious, never wanting to show too much emotion. Your anxiety always skyrocketed when your boys left. You often ended up locking yourself up in your room with a bottle or two of booze waiting for them to get back to you safely. You were in Juice’s room, strapping on his bulletproof vest with your heart about to beat out of your chest. “Promise me you’ll be safe, I can’t lose you.” You mumble as you strap the last piece of velcro to the vest. Juice turns around and takes your face into his hands. “I promise baby.” He places a kiss on your lips. You kissed him back and placed your hands on top of his vest. “I love you.” He whispers against your lips. “I love you too.” You place another light kiss to his lips. A loud knock on the door interrupts the two of you, starling you at the same time. “Alright lovebirds, hope you have your clothes on.” Tig jokes as he opens the door with his hand dramatically covering his eyes. “You’re all good Tiggy.” You laugh. “Well sorry to take your boyfriend away from you doll, but the guys are going to start heading out.” Tig says. You give Juice one last hug, before going over to Tig and hugging him. “C’mon babe, let’s get you back home as soon as possible.” You beckon for Juice putting your hand out for him. He takes it interlacing his fingers as he leads the way out into the clubhouse. You see all of the guys saying there goodbyes, before your eyes land on the one you were looking for. Jax. Who is saying goodbye to Abel and Wendy You slowly make your way over there, hugging everyone goodbye as you get over there. You finally reach him. “Hey, can I talk to you?” You ask Jax. He places a kiss on Abel’s head before stepping aside with you. “Look, I’m sorry for everything that happened yesterday. But can we put both of our thick skulls aside for a moment so I can make sure you don’t run off and get yourself killed because of everything that’s going on. I love you Jaxy.” You wrap your arms around his neck bringing him down for a hug. Jax gripped you tight and you couldn’t help but smile. “I couldn’t have said it better. I love you too Princess.” He whispers in your ear. Juice and Gemma stand across the room watching the two siblings make up. “If you hurt my daughter I’ll cut you. But I don’t think I have to worry about that, you two seem to make each other very happy.” Gemma warned Juice. He nodded, looking down at his feet with a smile. Gemma didn’t know just how happy Y/N made him. She quieted the voices in his head. Her smile made him forget about a stressful day at the club. Her hug made him feel like he wasn’t alone anymore. She made him feel like he was worth something. And he loved her with everything he had. She is what made him get through these life-threatening situations, she made him want to survive. He saw a future with her, finally someone wasn’t going to leave because he’s too clingy. She loved how clingy he was. “I promise to love her with everything I have Gem, trust me.” Juice said before he was distracted from the conversation. Jax was calling the guys to their Harley’s, to go put an end to the Irish threats. You gave Jax a final kiss on the cheek before shooing him off. All of the guys parted from their Ol’ ladies or their kids and walked out of the club. You, Gemma, Wendy, and Lyla were all standing right outside the club blowing a kiss to whichever biker had their heart. In your case, you had two. A brother and a boyfriend. It was nearly 4 in the morning when the boys got back. Juice quietly opened the door to his dorm, not knowing if you crashed in here or in your own room. As he walked in, he saw you on his side of the bed, hugging his pillow. He also spotted bottles in front of the bed, from wine to beer to whiskey, you drank when you got worried. Juice got undressed as quietly as possible, leaving himself only in his boxers as he got into bed. Even though you were on his side, he made do. He pulled the comforter over himself and wrapped an arm around your waist pulling you closer.

A Matching Set (Caryl Post Season 10 One Shot + Grimes babies + Lydia and some Aaron).
Just a little tooth-rotting fluff I found on my hard drive half finished.  Kinda, sorta Christmas fic but not.  Read it.  You’ll see.  Sorry not sorry.
“Play lots of Tetris as a kid?”
The mountain man beard does precious little to hide Aaron’s brief grin as he waits for Daryl to add more to that blurted, out of the blue question.
Daryl doesn’t blame him.  They ain’t talked a lick since they set off beyond Alexandria’s gates with a wobbly ass wheelbarrow and an ax in dire need of sharpening.  Once or twice, Aaron’s hummed a few notes of a couple vaguely familiar Christmas tunes, but other than that?  Radio silence.  Surprise or not, however, he figures the question’s pretty on point.  Especially considering their current means of passing the dwindling daylight hours.  “So.  Did ya?” he asks again, blue eyes averted and squinting as they search out any signs of potential danger, human or otherwise. Nothing’s there.  Hasn’t been since they took the head of the last Whisperer snake, but old habits?  They die hard.  And if they’ve kept his heart beating this long, he’s not looking to abandon them. ‘Sides.  If there were anything out there, he has no doubts Dog would be the first to alert them.  Provided, of course, he wakes his lazy ass up in time.
Rising and carefully slotting the last piece of tinder into place atop their firewood pyramid, Aaron lets his own eyes flit over the gray horizon.  “See anything?”  Soon as Daryl shakes his head, he allows his shoulders to relax.  Then he laughs to himself quietly.  “As a matter of fact, I did play.  You?”
Breath whining past his chapped lips, Daryl doesn’t respond.  He’s too focused on heaving the wheelbarrow out of the mud that’s caked around its wheels, his boots, even the abandoned ax.  Loaded down as it is, shit’s definitely heavier than it looks, and he gives up, at least momentarily.  “That the last of it?”
Aaron nods, bending to reclaim the ax.  “That’s the last of it.”  Daryl’s muttered thank fuck has his eyes crinkling in a way they haven’t in ages, at least not in the presence of anybody but Gracie.  “Need a little help?”
It takes the both of them working together to get the wheelbarrow out of the rut and bumping along the path home.  They’ve been walking a while, Dog trotting on ahead, before Daryl picks the dangling thread of conversation back up.  “Played,” he admits.  “Hell else was detention good for?”
 “Homework,” Aaron quips.
“Pfft.  Bet your ass was the permanent hall monitor.”
“You’re looking at a Hall of Famer.”
 Daryl simply smirks.
“Ah, the Daryl Dixon approximation of a belly laugh.  I’m breathing rarified air.”  When his teasing is merely taken in stride, his steps start to slow and he regards Daryl with something akin to wonder.  Dog even turns back to stare.
Feeling his friend’s eyes boring a hole in him, Daryl mutters, “Hell you staring at? Wanna trade places?”
Aaron takes but a second to consider the offer.  “I think I’ll pass.”
 “No shit. Figured you’d say…”
 “Carol prefers you.”
    ---
The sky’s bleached of any color by the time Daryl’s finally headed home.  The streets of Alexandria empty.
No wonder because there’s a storm blowing in.  First one in what promises to be a long winter season.  At least according to their self-appointed weather man Eugene.
Personally? Daryl thinks it’s all some grade A bullshit.  Pouring over half a dozen dusty old Farmers’ Almanacs like they hold the answers. Plotting random patterns and pieces of data on time-yellowed paper in chicken scratch that would have put Merle’s own to shame.  He doesn’t need or believe any of it because he can feel it in his aging bones like some kind of wizened old wizard.  Course, it doesn’t take much these days to make old hurts echo.  And the cold he’s feeling now?  It chills his blood.  Makes him ache and wish to high hell he’d worn the ridiculous hat Carol had tried to shove down over his ears this afternoon before he and Aaron had left out. Embarrassing piece of yarn might have come in handy filtering out the hollow, haunted whistle of the wind, but damn if he was going to sacrifice his dignity like that.  Wearing a whole-ass pom-pom on top of his head.  A rainbow one at that.  Nah.  Weren’t all that long a walk from Aaron’s.  “Almost there,” he reminds himself.  “Almost.”
Dog’s got a little extra giddy-up in his step as he trots ahead.
The mutt looks back and whines as if to tell Daryl hurry and Daryl can’t help but huff something resembling a laugh as he reshuffles the load of firewood stacked clear to his chin to get a better grip.  His breath fogs in front of him like thick, odorless cigarette smoke and shit.  His fingers might be halfway numb, but they twitch reflexively for the vice he hasn’t allowed himself to indulge in months.  Shaking his head, he includes Dog when he grumbles.  “Getting soft.”
Dog hangs back and stares him down as if to say speak for yourself.
“Ain’t the only one,” Daryl generously allows when a particularly biting gust of wind swirls around them both.  It lifts his hair from his forehead and makes his eyes sting.  Has him hunching his shoulders clear to his ears as if that’d do him any good, and he finds himself hurrying just as much as the little fucker that finally abandons him, home within his sights.  “Ain’t the only one.”
He sheds his muddy boots just inside the kitchen door and tries to make a grab for Dog before he runs off, he really does, but the damn animal’s too squirrely.  Too excited to see his kids.  To see his girl.  Daryl can relate.
“Ten minutes later and we were going to send out a search party.”
The soft lilt of her voice brings a smile to his mouth before he’s even seen her.  “Promised I’d be back.”  All the leftover tension from the trek back through the woods melts away beneath her gentle touch and he leans his head back against her chest with a sigh.
“I know that,” she murmurs fondly.  “Judith knows that.  RJ too.”
 “Lydia?”
 “She worries. It’s sweet.”
What’s even sweeter is the feel of her hands in his hair, her nails tickling his scalp, and the smile he feels curve against his cheek before her lips leave a kiss there. “C’mere.”
She’s straddling his lap, arms hooked around his shoulders, and nose nestled against his own before he can ask her twice.
Daryl cups her head and coaxes her closer, her hair slipping like silk between his fingers. He kisses her until they both sigh.
 “Miss me, Mr. Crossbow?”
Her smile fills his heart and works a lump into his throat.  “Always.  Know that.”
She traces the bridge of his nose, the line of his jaw, the curve of his ear, and pouts. “Your ears are cold.”
“Should have worn the fucking hat.”
“I’m not one to say I told you so, but…”
 “Pfft.”
“You really should have worn the fucking hat.  I mean, look at me.  Really look at me.  This isn’t the time or place for vanity,” she teases.
“That’s the ugliest sweater I’ve ever seen.”  She giggles like a girl.  Like Judith. Like Lydia when she doesn’t think anybody’s watching.  And he’ll tell her a thousand times the sweater is ugly just to hear that sound again, even though she’s still the prettiest thing he ever did see.  “The ugliest damn sweater.”
“The ugliest.  I left yours upstairs at the foot of the bed.”
 “Carol.”
 “They’re a matching set.”
   ---
The logs are crackling in the fireplace when he comes back downstairs and joins them.
RJ and Judith have their heads together nearby, talking in whispers and giggles.  Both of them seemingly transfixed by the orange sparks that float and flicker like fireflies against a midnight sky.
Lydia’s got a book and Dog in her lap and a blanket tucked around her toes.  A soft, hesitant smile plays upon her lips when she spies him, and she’s quick to bury her nose back in her book before it can visibly stretch from ear to ear.
“Stahp,” he gives a preemptive grumble when Carol glances up from mending his raggedy ass pants and her sassy mouth starts to twitch.  “Woman,” he warns with an accusatory finger when the first laugh sputters free. “If I didn’t know better…”
“Is Aunt Carol in trouble?” RJ asks his big sister.
Judith’s smile is soft and knowing even at her tender age.  “Not really.”
 “They gonna kiss again?”
Lydia does the answering this time.  “Probably.”
“Did the Brave Man kiss Mama all the time too?”
 “He did,” Judith answers wistfully.
 “Why?”
“It’s what two people that love each other do.”
The dancing twinkle in Carol’s blue eyes softens into something else altogether, something that although it makes Daryl’s cheeks flush pink in the glimmering firelight, he brings her hand to his mouth and presses the imprint of his smile to her palm.  “Hear that?”
“Ain’t telling me nothing I don’t know, Sweetheart.  Now ‘bout this ugly ass sweater…”
“Nobody else could pull it off as well as you do, Pookie.  Nobody.”

Refrigerator Door - Tyson Jost
Tumblr media
Word Count: 1.7k Synopsis: You, Tyson, and your family reminisce some of the best parts of yours and Tyson’s relationship A/N: Inspired by Refrigerator Door by Luke Combs, italics are flashbacks!
“Mom! Hi!” you exclaim, embracing your mom in a hug. “Welcome to our new home!” You gesture your arms showing off the newly and finally completed living room. You and Tyson had just bought your first, official, “married couple” house together a few months ago in the Denver area, and this was the first time your family was able to come out and see it for themselves.
Tyson stands up from the couch, making his way over to hug and greet everyone. He hugs your mom last and proceeds to ask if anyone wants something to drink. The small group that was your family follows the two of you into your kitchen, a few “ooo’s” coming from their mouths at the sight of the fully updated kitchen.
As he shuts the refrigerator door, your family all find seats around the kitchen island. “These are really nice cabinets. Nice countertop, too, whoever designed this did a really good job.” Your dad analyzes, admiring the soft white cabinets and the butcher block countertops that are littered with greenery.
A soft scoff comes out of your mouth at the comments your dad makes, “Always gotta comment on the construction.” Your mom and brother laugh at your comment, knowing the way your dad always got about that kind of stuff.
“You guys already have so many pictures hanging on your fridge!” Your mom exclaims, getting up and moving towards the silver refrigerator to get a closer look. You share a wide smile with Tyson, knowing that pictures were something the two you never had enough of.
“It’s covered with the best days of our lives.” You admire, leaning into Tyson's side as he places a kiss to the crown of your forehead.
A polaroid of the two of you at Red Rocks Amphitheater
“That one’s when we saw Kygo at Red Rocks. It’s one of Tyson’s favorite artists.” You say, leaning into Tyson’s side a little, thinking back to that night.
“y/n! Walk faster!” Your boyfriend exclaims, grabbing your hand and pulling your smaller body closer to his. You giggle at your excited boyfriend, a wide smile covering both of your faces as you walk hand in hand to your seats.
As the two of you make it to your seats Tyson wraps his arms around your frame, kissing the top of your head. “Thank you for coming with me, means a lot.” You smile into his broad chest, pulling away slightly to give him a quick kiss. The two of you hadn’t been together that long, only for about four months, and this was the first time you really let Tyson spend any type of money on you.
As the concert goes on and the two of you sway to the bass of the music playing, there has been a definite shift in your guys’ relationship. “Hey,” He whispers into your ear, “I love you, you know that?” You turn your head to look further at him, wide-eyed at the statement that had never been said to the other yet. The music around you fades as you yell an “I love you” right back at him.
“That was the night Tys told me he loved me for the first time.” You grinned, a similar grin forming on your mother’s face at the sentiment, while a gagging sound comes from the island where your brother sat.
A picture of you, Tyson and your brother at a bar
“Oh, that one’s old!” Your brother says loudly, pointing at the beat-up photo in the top left corner being held up by your college magnet. You laugh loudly, your brother joining you as you look at the picture. The three of you are sitting at a table, you’re practically in Tyson’s lap and your brother is standing behind the two of you.
“That’s when Tyson made a point to come visit me my last semester at school so he could get to experience the ‘party-girl lifestyle’ that he so begged to witness.” You mimic Tyson’t tone as you do finer quotes around ‘party-girl lifestyle’.
“And I was there because y/n had just gotten back from spring break and I hadn’t seen her in weeks.” Your brother explains to your parents.
“Tyson, you seriously want to go out to some dingy college bar that’s going to be full of frat guys?” You ask, raising your eyebrows at your pouting boyfriend.
“Yes! I didn’t really get to experience the college party scene that much and I know you enjoy the bar scene here so you should show me your ways.” Tyson elaborated, puppy-dog eyes in full effect.
You let him tag along, him and your brother chatting while you did your hair and makeup. Once you guys had gotten around to the bar after a pretty laid-back pregame, that’s when all hell broke loose.
Tyson couldn’t believe how cheap the drinks were and tried to convince your group that you guys weren’t actually drinking alcohol because it couldn’t possibly be $3 for a double.
“Just drink your shitty rum and coke and get drunk and let loose,” You say into his ear. “It’s the way of college!” You finish with a laugh. Tyson laughs along with you, throwing his head back, then downing the rest of his drink before getting up to get another round.
The night progresses and the two of you, alongside your small group, continue to take turns between dancing and playing card games at the table and getting way too drunk off of bottom-shelf liquor.
A picture of you, Tyson, Andre Burakovsky, Mikko Rantanen, and Mark Barberio at the X-Games
“That one’s from this past year during the bye week. Y/n and I went to Aspen with a few of the guys for the X-Games.” Tyson explained, pointing at the picture briefly.
“Oh yeah! She kept sending me pictures from it to make me jealous!” Your brother complained, followed by a scolding look from both of your parents.
“Next time we’ll invite you. I already told you that.” You defend, freeing yourself from Tyson’s grip to go sit down next to him.
“I don’t think I could ever try or even want to attempt flipping that many times in the air over har, frozen, snow.” You admit, watching the snowboarding half-pipe event. Tyson is standing behind you, his arms slouched around your neck, the other guys standing around the both of you. “Like, I thought what you guys did seemed hard and ridiculously dangerous, but I take that all back.” A loud laugh emits from Tyson behind you and you feel the rumbles in his chest against your back. The rest of the guys were laughing alongside him.
“Hey! What we do is hard!” Tyson whines, pulling you tighter into his chest. You giggle lightly into your scarf before turning to look at your boyfriend. Your eyes meet, his eyes giving you his signature puppy-dog look, to which you sigh at.
“I love you,” You sing-song, going to poke his pink nose. “And what you do impresses me every day, don’t you ever forget that.”
A candid picture of the two of you with his family, Tyson’s holding the Stanley Cup above his head and instead of looking at the camera he’s looking at you
“I haven’t seen this one before!” Your mom says with glee, reaching out and touching the photo being held up by the Colorado Avalanche Stanley Cup Champions magnet. “The magnet is a nice touch, too.”
“One of the best days of my life.” Tyson admits sheepishly. His smile widens and his cheeks turn a little pink from the memory of that night.
“You’re a fucking Stanley Cup champion, Tyson!” You yell, running a little too fast over the ice to your boyfriend.
“I’m a fucking Stanley Cup champion, baby!” He yells right back as you reach him. His arms wrap around your body tightly, and he lifts you up into the air with a squeal. He sets you down, grasping your cheeks with his calloused and clammy hands, giving you a kiss.
“I love you so much. Thank you for being here and for always being there for me.” He thanks, his lips only a few millimeters away from your own. You can see his eyes starting to turn glossy, causing the same reaction in yours.
“I love you, I’m so proud of you.” You say, a hiccup coming out at the end from your overwhelming emotions. You wrap your arms around his neck once more, hugging him impossibly tighter.
Tyson pulls away “C’mon, we gotta go take some pictures with that beauty and the rest of my family.” He grabs your hand, skating slowly towards where his mom, sister, and grandparents stood waiting for the two of you to have your moment.
Even more hugs and congratulations are exchanged as you wait for the cup to be passed to Tyson for his turn to take pictures. Once JT skates it over and passes it to Tyson with a cheer, you wait for him to take some pictures with just his family before he waves you over to join him. You stand between him and his grandpa, a look of pure adoration in your eyes as you look at the love of your life having his dream come true.
An ultrasound picture
“We actually have one that we still haven’t put up there yet.” You say, eyeing Tyson. He understands where you’re going with the statement and moves to the next room to grab the photo you’re talking about.
The tone in your voice and Tyson’s sudden exit from the kitchen causes your family to all exchange weird looks as they wonder where he went.
“What picture are you guys talking about?” Your dad asks for everyone in the room. He’s leaning on the kitchen island with knitted eyebrows. A tightness pulls in your stomach at the anxiety of the conversation that’s about to happen once Tyson comes back.
As if on cue, Tyson walks back into the kitchen, small photo in hand. Instead of putting it up on the fridge right away, he opts to bring it over to your family. As he reaches the kitchen island where you all are located, he pulls you into his side and sets the small, mainly black photo onto the table.
You look around the island, watching everyone’s reactions once they comprehend the photo laying in front of them.
Your mom’s eyes flick from the photo to you and back to the photo with her jaw dropped and eyes wide until she speaks up. “You’re pregnant?” She sheepishly asks, hope filling her facial features.
You nod your head, smile widening on your face as you answer her, “I’m pregnant.” You say it so softly, it’s almost a whisper, as Tyson rubs your arm softly.
“Oh my God! You’re pregnant! My baby is having a baby!” She shrieks jumping from her stool and running around to pull both you and Tyson into an airtight hug. Your dad and brother join in on the group hug before pulling away to give you individual hugs. Once your dad finishes shaking Tyson’s hand, Tyson moves to stick the new addition to the front of the fridge where it joins the other pictures.
The pictures covering your fridge create somewhat of a contrast to the rest of the kitchen aesthetic, but the both of you don’t mind and you enjoy the daily reminders of the best days of your lives.

The One Where Yeontan Doesn’t Understand Anything
Tumblr media Tumblr media
pairing: tae x nobi
summary: yeontan doesnt know korean so he just barks when he sees his mom and dad being happy
squeals and laughter echoed throughout the entire dorm as yeontan came over for a visit and he pounced on nobi, licking her at every chance. he yipped happily and let out cute little whines whenever she turned her gaze away from him, angry that mom wasn’t paying attention to him. he was dressed in a hoodie she got him a few days ago and his baby ears were safely tucked inside the hood that was over his head.
“aigoo, tannie, you’re so cute,” she cooed. “My little darling.”
tae leaned against the wall by the kitchen as he watched her cradle their puppy in her arms. she sat on the floor and leaned against the couch, petting the calming boy down since his energy was slowly running out with her rubs behind his ears. yeontan had his head laid on her chest, unmoving and eyes fluttering open and close. he saw his dad and his eyes fully opened, barking at his direction.
this got her attention as she turned her head away from the tv and met tae’s gaze. her eyes crinkled when she smiled. “hey, tae.”
he approached the two and sat beside her, wrapping an arm around her. “hello, bunny.”
yeontan whined softly and raised his head when he felt his mom shift but contently placed it back down when she just moved closer to tae’s chest.
“has he been calm?” he asked, rubbing the paw yeontan had hanging out.
she nodded. “my darling is so well-behaved, aren’t you?” her baby voice made tae’s uwu meter combust inside. she continued cooing at the puppy, constantly remarking how much she loved him and how cute he was.
“y-yah, kura. what about me?” he whined at the lack of affection he was supposed to be getting.
nobi giggled before looking up at at him, giving his jaw a peck. “you’re adorable too, tae.”
although this wasn’t the first time she’s given him affections like these, he still couldn’t get used to it. the tips of his ears burned red and he suddenly felt suffocated.
“a-ah,” he stuttered. “not as you, though.” he awkwardly replied before kissing her forehead.
the 3 sat there in silence, the low volume of the show not really catching their attention. with nobi petting tannie and tae gently massaging her waist, it was a comfortable atmosphere that they gladly occupied. but a growl from her stomach caused it to be broken.
an embarrassed look overtook her face and tae chuckled at her reaction. yeontan seemed startled by the sudden loud noise because he quickly sat up, eyes looking everywhere.
“it’s okay, tannie. ma is just hungry,” she reassured. even though the dog didn’t know korean, it doesn’t stop her from talking to him anyways.
“after that,,,, fiasco,,,, i think we’d have to order delivery,” tae suggested. a harsh sigh escaped from her as she was reminded by that terrible memory.
“yah, don’t bring that up again, please. it took me so long for jin-hyung to finally let me use the microwave without blowing it up.”
tae got up to make a phone call for the delivery so nobi and yeontan were left on the floor. he seemed to wake up fully and she was playing around with him, tickling him and giving him kisses everywhere. He was happy with the amount of attention he was getting and he jumped on her stomach when she laid on her back. excited yips and licks to her chin was enough to put a smile on her face and forget about everything in the world.
she wrapped her arms around the little boy and sat up, letting him nuzzle his furry face into her neck. as tae hung up, he went back to the living room and saw two of the most important people in his life.
he sat down behind her and rested his chin on the shoulder opposite of where yeontan was at and he wrapped his arms around her waist, right hand running through yeontan’s fur. nobi hummed and leaned back so she leaned against his chest and yeontan gave her a lazy lick before nuzzling back.
“he’s growing up so fast, tae.”
he could hear the sadness in her tone and he agreed, feeling like it was just yesterday he went and got her their baby. nearly 3 years has passed and he still cannot believe how much he’s changed.
“he brought me out of that hole. when i thought everything went dark, he was that sliver of light between the clouds. my baby,” she whispered.
the main reason he got her yeontan was because she hit rock bottom and with the tour, she had no chance or time to let it all out. once they got back home, tae made sure he got everything ready and he walked into her bedroom, holding the puppy and seeing her shock and surprised reaction.
tears from the overwhelming feeling from tour.
but also tears from the happiness of having Yeontan.
“the food should be here in 15 minutes. what do you want to do for now?” he asked.
“well, it’s been a while since we’ve given him a bath ourselves.”
tae smiled at her soft grin. “i dont know if my mom gave him a bath already but we can do it.”
“i can go set everything up,” she offered before standing up and handing the squirming puppy back to tae.
he raised a paw and moved it up and down as a wave. “say bye bye to mami, tannie. say bye bye!”
she turned around by the hallway with her hands on her hips and tried to look serious but a smile broke through. “yah, don’t make it sound like i’m leaving forever.”
yeontan barked and he struggled to get out of tae’s hold to run to her but tae held on tighter and nuzzled his face into the soft fur. “she’ll be back, tannie.”
nobi went to the closet next to the bathroom and grabbed a small towel and the robe that was specifically for yeontan. next, she went to her room to get him a new set of clothes. it was a black and white hawaiian shirt that she picked up a few weeks ago when she went shopping with jungkook.
she rummaged through the cabinet under the sink for his shampoo before finding the familiar pink bottle and shouting for tae to bring the puppy in.
“coming!” he yelled back.
taehyung pushed the slightly open door so that him and yeontan could get through. nobi’s face lit up when she saw her baby and she took him from tae’s arms so that he could close the door. yeontan licked her hand as she tried to pet him behind the ears and he nudged his nose to hers.
“come here, tannie.”
together, they bathed the dog and it was filled with bubbles being thrown everywhere and water being sprayed to each other. yeontan kept wiggling to get the water off of him and caused his parents to get soaked with the excess water.
“yah! yeontan! stay still!” she shrieked with a laugh that echoed throughout the bathroom.
the boy barked in defiance before continuing to wiggle and walk around. nobi exasperatedly tried to follow him so she can wash the soap off of his fur but yeontan wanted to prolong bath time.
“tannie, let’s finish so you can be warm again, hm?” tae asked and caused yeontan to stop and sit still.
nobi’s eyes widened and an outraged and betrayed expression crossed her face. “yah, that’s not fair! you like papa more than me!”
tae laughed, “no. he likes mami because she buys him more clothes.”
damn right, she does. and when yeontan finally allowed her to wash him, he excitedly moved his hands and feet excitedly as she held him up in the air for tae to dry him off with the towel. the cute, white robe for dogs hugged him perfectly and nobi squealed at him. she got her phone from the sink and took a few pictures.
“wah, yeontan you’re so cute! my baby!” she cooed and yeontan happily barked at the sweet tone his mom was giving him. even though he doesn’t actually understand what she was saying, just her giving him attention was enough to make him happy.
in the middle of drying, the doorbell rang and tae got up to go get it since it was probably the food. once he was dry enough, she got yeontan to wear his clean shirt.
“okay, baby. through this arm and next, through this arm.” she guided his paws through the arm holes and when he was dressed, he bounded out of the bathroom and into the living room where tae was setting up the food.
he saw yeontan and picked him up to place him on his lap, waiting for you to change your clothes and come sit across him. there was fried chicken, jajjangmyeon, and cheese balls.
“wah, this looks really good,” she drooled as she snapped the chopsticks to mix the noodles.
tae took some meat of the chicken before feeding it to yeontan, who happily munched on it. nobi gave him a napkin to held wipe the crumbs off of yeontan’s fur and the puppy froze, allowing his dad to wipe him.
seeing the interaction, nobi placed her chopsticks down and bit her lip, hesitant to bring it up. but she has been thinking about it for a while and it’s something she wants to hear his opinion on.
“tae,” she called and he looked up to meet her eyes. “should we.... should we have another one?”
tae cocked his head slightly to the side, confusion evident on his face. “what are you talking about?”
she cleared her throat, “another baby. yeontan’s growing up really fast and he’s turning 3 soon. i just thought that with another one, he wouldn’t be so lonely and he would like it if he has someone with him.”
there was a fat silence and nobi nervously fiddled with her fingers, not exactly sure what she was so anxious about. she just wanted another puppy.
tae chuckled after a minute of thinking. “gosh, bunny. you make it sound like you want a child.”
surprised, she met his eyes before she too, laughed at the way her request sounded. “it did, didn’t it?”
“but, if you want, we could. we’re not that busy right now so it might be a good time to get another one. i can make a few phone calls and see if we can get one.”
she let out a happy shout and resisted the urge to reach over the table and hug the life out of tae. yeontan didn’t know what was going on but he saw the smiles his mom and dad had so he just barked loudly, showing his own happiness.
“you want a sibling, tannie? you want a baby brother? or sister?” nobi excitedly asked and yeontan let out squeaks randomly.
“don’t get too excited, nobi. with this whole thing going on, it might take a while to get a hold of some breeders,” tae warned but she just smiled at him.
“doesn’t matter. i’m just happy that we get to add another member to our family.”
