LADs Men Comforting you
A/N: Just a little idea I thought of because I, too, need to be comforted right now.

Warnings: Descriptions of an anxiety attack, Angst (but quickly resolved)
As always, please enjoy and send ideas to my inbox. ^^
~
Sylus:
You had gone on an extremely dangerous mission with Sylus. You're a very strong person, both physically and mentally, but every strong person has their breaking point.
Yesterday, you had witnessed a massive explosion from the passenger seat of Sylus' car. That explosion happened to be the same one Sylus was in.
You start to get out of the car, to rush in there, to make Sylus was okay, but you couldn't. An unbelievable amount of people start surrounding the now fiery building. People you can recognize as the people that want you dead, that want Sylus dead.
Tears start building up behind your eyes as you hurriedly get into the driver seat. You know he wouldn't want you to run into that, not to chase him into danger. So you drive. You drive and drive. You shouldn't be because you can barely see through the tears, eventually you pull over when you know you're far enough.
That's when you let it out. Sobs rattle your body as your fists beat against the steering wheel.
"Please don't treat my baby like that, sweetie." A husky voice says outside your window, one that Sylus had left open. You quickly look and there he is. Almost unscathed. Some ash sits on his cheek while a small gash bleeds from his brow.
"Sylus.." You say breathlessly. Nearly falling trying to get out of the car to get to him, he catches you in his arms and pulls you close. Closer than he ever has it feels like.
"You should know I would never leave you." He says into your ear, barely above a whisper. His hands rub up and down your back. All you can do is hold him tighter.
"I will always come back to you, sweetie."
Safe to say, Sylus treated you like a princess for the next month, and you never left his side.
~
Zayne:
Something felt off. You had just gotten back home after a mission and you couldn't breathe. You had seen so many things today that you're not sure you'll ever forget it.
As soon as the door closed behind you, you collapsed to the floor. Your vision is blurry, unsure whether it's from the income anxiety attack or the tears threatening to spill. Your head feels heavy, like you could pass out in any moment. Your throat feels tight, like it's closed completely.
Eventually, a sob leaves your lips. It reaches Zayne's ears all the way in your shared office. His head snaps from the computer screen and he jumps from his chair, making it crash into the wall behind him.
"Darling?!" his voice seemed calm, but there was an undercurrent of panic. Zayne felt his heart clench at the sight of you. Your breaths were heavy, quick, as if you couldn't get oxygen past your throat and into your lungs.
"Hey..." he quickly gets down onto the floor with you. Strong arms wrap around you, holding you tightly, giving you the pressure you so badly needed. Zayne rocks you back and forth as you cry, just letting you get it all out. The only words he says is to remind you to slow your breathing.
Once your breathing slows, you hesitantly look up at him.
"I have you. You don't need to tell me what happened, but I'll be right here to pick up the aftermath."
~
Xavier:
The two of you were in battle. More and more wanderers kept striking you both. It felt never ending. It was getting hard for you to keep up. The next thing you know, a searing white pain flashing in your eyes. Your guns clank to the ground in front of you. Opening your eyes, you see a giant gash in your arm. The sight of it make your head feel queasy.
Xavier is at your side in an instant. He holds onto you firmly, while being careful not to aggravate your injury any further. Another white light blinds you, but this time not from pain, from Xavier. The wanderers fall to the ground and fade away.
Watching as all the threats disappear, the adrenaline starts to slow. Your knees buckle and you start to fall but Xavier is there to catch you, slowly setting you onto the ground.
"You're okay." his voice is soft, reassuring. "Just focus on my face." You stare into his eyes as he rips part of his uniform. When he lifts your arm, you hiss in pain.
"I know, baby, I know." Xavier ties the cloth around your arm over the cut to slow the bleeding. "It's going to be okay, you're okay." Tears start to prickle the edges of your eyes. When he looks back up at you, he quickly notices. Leaning in, he first kisses your forehead, and then the tears that managed to slip out.
"Lets go get you fixed up." He picks you up with ease, one of his thumbs rubbing circles into your hip as you press your face into his chest, smelling his cologne.
~
Rafayel:
At first, you were silent, hands cupping your mouth. Tears slowly start to pool in your eyes. In front of you stood a canvas that Rafayel had been working on. A canvas that now had splatters of paint from you accidentally knocking over the table holding his paints.
You back up a bit. What were you going to do? You ruined it. In that exact moment, Rafayel walks in. As soon as he meets your eyes, the tears spill.
"I'm sorry, I'm so sorry." The words tumble from your lips. You keep backing up, feeling the need to get away. Rafayel's eyes fill with worry. He sets down the paints he had left to get and rushes to you. You didn't want him to touch you. You knew he'd surely be mad.
Eventually, he grabs your hands, pulling them to his chest. His eyes look deeply into yours.
"Shhh... Cutie, it's okay. What's wrong?" His voice is quiet and sweet. Your initial panic subsides a bit, Rafayel's always soothing. Without saying a word, you point to his canvas and try shrinking away. He turns around and sees the mess.
A chuckle escapes his lips. He walks up to it with a small smile. After awhile, he turns back to you.
"It's perfect." A confused look washes over your face. "The colors, the way the paint flows. This is going in the next showcase."
"Nonono." You rush in front of him. "I ruined it." Rafayel chuckles again.
"In my eyes, all your flaws are a work of art, and this mistake is the same. It's perfect. I love it, just as I love each and every of your flaws."
~
Caleb:
The first day was always the worst. The nausea, the migraine, the cramps. Today was particularly bad, worse than usual. On top of all the period pains, you were just sad. No rhyme or reason to it, just sad.
Caleb had decided to stay home. He knew before you could even say anything that today wasn't going to be good.
"Stay in bed, princess. I'll make you your favorite breakfast." All you could do was nod in response, not feeling up to speaking. As he leaves, you roll onto his side of the bed, curling into his pillow and inhaling his scent.
The next time you open your eyes, the nightstand beside you had a plate filled with fluffy waffles with chocolate chips in them. A chocolate milk was also sat out. Caleb was crouched in front of you rubbing your cheek.
"Morning, pips. Breakfast is ready." He gives you a soft smile, one that you return back to him. As you sit up, a sharp cramp surges through you. You try to play it off but Caleb never misses anything when it comes to you. He hands you the plate and he goes over to one of the drawers to get your heating pad out.
How did I get this lucky? You look from him preparing the heating pad down to your food. Warmth spreads through you as you're filled with love. Tears start to slip down your cheek.
"Pips? What's wrong?" Caleb sits down beside you on the bed, reaching an arm around your waist while his other hand wipes the tears away.
"I just love you so much." is all you can say as you lay your head against his chest.
"I love you, too. I'll spend my whole life, and even after, showing you how much I love you.

hi! can I request something similar to the last one you did about oscar and reader having intimacy issues but instead if you can do that sheâs asexual but sheâs keeping it from him bc sheâs worried heâll break up with her if he knows so she is just trying to hide it until he gets upset? tbh itâs my fear about dating so đ you can make it very angsty but a happy ending pleaseeeee!
I did some research before writing this, and discovered thereâs different preferences. I wasnïżœïżœt sure how to go about this so readerâs preferences are as follows: still likes to cuddle and kiss and stuff like that. Is fine with sex as long as thereâs a warning in advance, but still doesnât feel the desire.
(If thereâs anything youâd like me to change, donât hesitate to lmk!)
warnings: talk of sex, brief dry humping

Oscar was your first real relationship.
He was sweet, funny, kind, but had the sexual desires that you didnât. It wasnât a problem until well into your relationship.
âHey baby,â heâd joined you on the living room sofa, his hand rubbing the soft flesh of your thigh. From the tone of his voice, you knew what he wanted.
It wasnât the first time heâs tried to initiate something, and youâre certain it wouldnât be the last. The script was always the same.
âIâm not really in the mood right now.â You confessed in a small voice, avoiding his eyes.
He withdrew his hand, setting it in his own lap. âYeah. No, yeah. Iâm sorry.â He lingered a moment longer before standing.
âOscar?â You called, head propped on the back of the couch. He paused halfway down the hallway and looked back at you. âI love you.â You reassured.
He smiled, but it was small. âI love you, too.â
He was asleep.
Youâd just woken up. You hadnât understood why until you felt it.
In his sleep, his hips rolled into your thigh, clearly searching for a release from his dream.
Every fiber of your body was on fire, burning with discomfort. âOscar,â you struggled to find your voice as you tried to push him away. He was like a boulder, refusing to budge. Tears pricked your eyes. You tried to roll away but his strong arms around your waist held you in place. âOscar, please wake up.â You choked, managing to get a hand between you to push him by his chest. You were sobbing by this point.
You hadnât meant to, but you hit him in the chest. A very hard blow. It knocked the air out of him, waking him up instantly.
He sat up to catch his breath, releasing you from his hold in the same move. You jumped up, scrambling to stand across the room. âIâm sorry, fuck, Iâm sorry i didnât mean to hit you.â
âWhat- baby what time is it?â He asked, trying to move closer to you. You stopped him with an open palm. âWhat happened?â He looked scared and concerned, searching your face for an answer.
You couldnât answer, you just kept apologizing. Your back hit the wall and you slid down it, curing in on yourself as you hit the floor.
He came closer despite your held out hand. âPlease talk to me.â He begged.
You couldnât catch your breath. Your chest felt tight, your head and your body too heavy. The world around you blurred both visually and audibly.
A panic attack. He recognized it before you did. âOkay, uhm,â he tried to figure out how to calm you down without touching you. âYouâll be alright. Thisâll pass.â He reassured. âJust focus on your breathing. Breathe with me, okay?â
With hand motions he took deep breaths. âIn through your nose. Out through your mouth.â The first couple times, you hadnât followed. He continued anyway, and eventually saw your attempts. âGood, yeah really good.â
When you were finally settled and the episode passed, he backed up. âIâm going to sleep in the guest bed. Stay here and get some sleep, okay?â He took himself to the door, refusing to step out until you were secure in the bed. He watched your languid movements. It was like your body weighed a thousand pounds. âI love you.â He told you before leaving.
The following morning was tense. Few words were exchanged during breakfast, and those that were remained short.
He approached you about it after breakfast, careful to keep his distance.
âWhat happened last night?â He asked softly. âIâm not upset I just want to know that youâre okay.â He added quickly.
You swallowed hard and shifted uncomfortably. âPromise me⊠promise me you wonât break up with me.â
âWhy would I- of course I wonât. I promise.â
You fiddled with your hands, trying to find your words as the silence thickened by the second. âIâm asexual. Which means I donât have any sexual attraction.â
Oscar tilted his head slowly, his brows furrowing.
âItâs not that Iâm not attracted to you itâs just⊠I donât have the same sexual desires that you do.â You winced at the words coming from your own mouth.
He said nothing, trying to understand why you hadnât told him sooner. Feeling guilty for making moves on you.
âAnd I donât want to deprave you or anything. I can still have sex just⊠Iâd need a warning in advance so I can prepare myself.â You chewed on your finger, afraid of his inevitable response.
Keeping his distance, he leaned against the nearest wall. âI donât want to force you into anything.â
âI promise, as long as Iâm warned Iâm fine with it. Iâve had sex before.â You bit your lip. âI just probably wonât be as into it as youâd expect.â
âSo is it just sex? Or does it include kissing and cuddling and everything else?â
âNo, no. I still like those. Itâs mainly just the sex part.â
He nodded and pushed off the wall. He lingered a moment longer and joined you on the couch. A beat passed of him staring at you before he wrapped his arms around you. âWhy didnât you tell me sooner?â His words were muffled into your shirt.
âI didnât want you break up with me because I couldnât give you what you wanted.â
He pulled back and held your face in his hands. âYouâre what I want. Thatâs it.â

afraid - preface
yandere/dark!Bruce Wayne x reader: Youâve struggled with anxiety all your life. It seemed to dissipate when you left a controlling relationship with your lifelong friend (and later fiance), Bruce behind. But when he manages to track you down after years of being apart, you canât help but feel completely and utterly terrified.
Warnings: abusive relationship, stalking, kidnapping, stockholm syndrome, non-con elements. 18+ ONLY.
âYou donât have to cry.â
His voice was low. Quiet. He kept his tone measured, trying to calm youâjust like he used to. âDonât panic. I forgive you, okay? Iâm not angry. You donât have to cry.â
You felt two things at once.
One: A hand pushing your hair away from your face, pulling your head back so you were facing upwards. And two: a familiar heaviness; an imposing weight on your shoulders, your chest, seeming to materialize out of thin air. Leaden, burdensome. It made it hard to breathe, so much so you began to feel lightheaded. Queasy. You werenât sure where that was coming from.
But as you looked into the dark eyes peering down at you, you knew. And you began to hyperventilate.
You hadnât felt this way in a very long time.
Tears rolled down your cheeks. The back of your neck felt like it was on fire, and beads of sweat started to gather along your forehead. Bruce looked down at you sympathetically, moving to cradle your face in his hands.
âBreathe. Can you breathe?â
You stared at him with wide eyes, too winded to respond. Throughout your life, you had plenty of anxiety attacks in front of Bruce, but never before had you felt quite so vulnerable.
A skittish, unsuspecting rabbit in the presence of a wolf.
Heâd found you. Heâd finally found you.
Of course he had.
As hard as you tried to suppress your intuitionâpreferring instead to live in the delusion that heâd never track you downâyou were surprised it had taken him this long. You wondered if that was intentional, if he had spent your time apart licking his wounds. Tempering his anger, so as to not hurt you when he finally did see you again. He didnât want to hurt you, not really. If there was one thing you knew about Bruce, it was that he usually never intended to hurt you.
âBruce,â you croaked, your voice nearly unrecognizable. Raspy. Sputtering. âI donât feel well.â
âI know,â he sighed. âIâm sorry.â
He pushed your head into the crook of his neck, threading his fingers through your hair. Time passed. Seconds. Minutes. You werenât sure how long, before finally he pulled away and grabbed hold of your shoulders, steadying you as you shook. His gaze shifted to your necklace, the ring looped around the chain. Your engagement ring. He reached up and grabbed the ring, holding it delicately between his thumb and pointer finger. Inspecting it. The corners of his mouth turned upward as his eyes met yours once more.
âYou kept it.â
There was affection in his gaze. Admiration. It felt familiar. Comforting. It was a look that pulled on your heartstrings, a look that only you knew. Bruce. Your Bruce. You felt comforted by itâcontentâlike a kitten lounging in the sunlight. And then he looked around the room. He frowned again, and you felt that surge of panic return. It suddenly occurred to you just how temporary that look always seemed to be. The sunlight instantly evaporated, and there you were, left out in the cold. Bruceâs gaze held power, his moods had power over you. Even now.
Even after all these years.
And that made you feel sick.
âYour place.â
What about it? you wanted to ask, but your tongue felt too heavy to allow for that.
âItâsâŠquaint.â He paused for a moment, chuckling to himself. He sighed. âSmall.â
You felt a stab of anger in your chest. He had no right to come here and invade your space, terrorize you, insult you. He had no right to be here. Not after everything. No right at all. And besides, everywhere was small compared to Wayne Manor.
âThis is what you left me for, a studio apartment in a bad area of town? This is what you decided was better for you?â
Your stomach lurched. Here we go.
His brow furrowed. âJustâŠhelp me understand.â He grabbed onto the ring again. âWeâve known each other for so long, yet I feel like I donât know you at all. Help me understand. Thatâs all Iâm asking. Thatâs all I want.â
âNo itâs not.â
He stared at you for a moment, then chuckled. âWell. I suppose youâre right.â
âWhat are you doing here?â
âYou couldâve pawned it.â
âBruceââ
âCouldâve thrown it away, kept it in a drawer somewhere. You couldâve done anything.â
âBruceââ
âWhyâd you keep it?â he asked. âI know you. I know the way you see me. Youâre scared. Youâre horrified. Maybe even disgusted. But if Iâm so bad, whyâd you keep it?â
âItâsâŠâ you sighed, coughing. âItâs complicated.â
He was quiet for a moment, and then his gaze hardened.
âThen Iâll make it easy for you.â
And then he lunged forward and grabbed your neck, plunging something into the side of itâhard. A needle. You hated needles. Your eyes widened in terror, arms flailing wildly.
âDonât cry. Donât be afraid.â
He wrapped his arms around you, hushing you in the seconds that remained before darkness consumed you.
đŠ
Bruce knew he could be moody.
Your friendship was a close one, closer than anything heâd ever experienced. Your romantic relationship wasnât much different. You were inseparable. But throughout your relationship, his frame of mind slowly became dependent on your actions and reactions. He analyzed and dissected every little thing, read into every minute detail. Everything served as an indicator that you didnât really want to be with him, that you could and would and should do better. Arguments were frequent and damaging. You were often accused of things you didnât do, things you wouldnât do.
Nevermind the whole billionaire thing. That didnât matter to you. It never had. That was just one reason why he loved you so much, why he held onto you so tight, so tight it became painful.
Bruce Wayne was a mess. An insecure, overbearing, temperamental mess.
You couldnât take it. Not anymore.
You ended things with an apology, a brief letter (brief being an understatement). No details or expansion apart from Bruce, Iâm sorry. The letter was a little under twenty five words, scrawled in messy, loopy handwriting. Hurried. Rushed. It was pathetic, really. Years of dedication down the drain, reduced to just a few short sentences. A last minute ordeal, something you clearly hadnât given much thought to.
Deep down, though, Bruce knew that wasnât true.
This letter was likely something you had put too much thought intoâso much so that you put off writing it until the last minute. Probably out of anxiety. In Bruceâs experience of you, you probably knew just what you wanted to say. You just had trouble finding the words.
You were always afraid to say the wrong thing.
That was his fault.
Everything was.
But what were you sorry for, and just how sorry were you?
He was determined to find out. And he would.
You were harder to find than he thought youâd be.
You would find out just how sorry you were, too, he decided.
You would, too.

The location of the sex shop I worked was a haven for spiders. We had tall ceilings and skylights and unused storage rooms. It was a spider paradise. We quickly sussed out which coworkers to call on in case of emergency. The Dorito lady was a solid ally for spiders but absolutely petrified of moths.
But thereâs actually a hierarchy of fear. Most people donât realize. The person least afraid is the one forced to deal with the bug in question. If coworker B was scared, but coworker A was petrified, well coworker B was gonna have to screw their courage to the sticking place because by the law of fear they were the most competent person on scene.
Thus enters Rick. Rick first appeared in the back storage room. This room doubled as a second bathroom so we went in on a semi frequent basis. The girl whoâd gone in to pee shot out again gibbering with fear about the biggest spider sheâd ever seen had just run across her boot.
We sicced Dorito lady on it. She returned, shaking her head. âHe was squatting on a power cord where it plugs in. I couldnât get a clean shot at Rick.â
âRick?â
She shrugged. âSpiders that big need a name. Seemed like a Rick.â
Rick, freshly named, became a store menace. Iâd normally say this was probably a case of multiple spiders being mistaken for one but everyone who encountered him swore up and down there could be no mistake. This spider was massive, fast, and distinct. A gladiator among arachnids.
I never encountered Rick. His exploits grew in the telling but the theme was consistent: no one could kill him. Heâd hunker in places that no one could reach and dart away when a strike missed. He also chased off the more faint hearted, charging them in bold dashes. There could be no benign cup transplant to remove Rick from the premise. He was not leaving.
The saga of Rick continued for two months. Not seeing him was almost worse, a fearful wariness when going to the bathroom or stepping into quieter areas. I waited with dread, hoping my eventual run in would have me on shift with Dorito lady to protect me.
It was not to be. There was a girl the same who hated my one moment of singing that was absolute piss-herself scared of spiders. Sheâd slam straight into a panic attack and couldnât think or speak. And so it was that one night on shift, I heard her scream.
It was unmistakable. I was in the front window turning off the open sign. Through an obstacle course of mannequins and lingerie I performed an acrobatic sprint out of the window, darting up to find her quivering at the front counter, fully crying. I radiated calm at her and said, âJust point.â
I knew it was Rick. Our destinies were intertwined and we had always been pulled toward the inexorable battle that was drawing nigh.
Her hand raised to point to our sandwich board sign at the front of the store. So Rick had the metaphorical high ground. There was no quick easy strike on the slanted signs surface.
I armed myself and marched into battle, my knuckles white on my chosen weapon. I would do this, because I must. Because there was no one else. And because I wanted to close and go home.
I saw Rick immediately and I honestly donât think Iâve ever seen a bigger spider since. Outside of a tarantula, he was truly the most massive spider Iâve ever beheld outside a zoo enclosure or terrarium.
We regarded each other. Rick launched off the sign toward me and I stomped my foot reflexively, making him pause in his charge. Then I raised my weapon. Anything else, I believe Rick could have evaded. Heâd bested most of the store thus far. But I had chosen chemical warfare.
I doused the shit out of that spider with cleaning spray, stunning him with a barrage of chemicals. While he froze, choking on the unexpected deluge, I dropped a paper towel over him. My foot came down.
I felt his exoskeleton crunch and I can feel it still to this day. The shattering was as of bones and I truly mourned that we had been forced into senseless war. If only he has cleaved tighter to the shadows. If only heâd crawled willing into a cup for relocation. I released a full body shudder of horror, fear, and adrenaline as I stepped back.
I took several quivering breaths. I donned a veneer of calm and tidied the battlefield of itâs corpse then went to reassure my coworker that all was well, while internally I still shook.
You fought well, Rick. I hope you sired many more monstrous children to haunt retail workers in the years to come. Rest in valor, you monster.

A/N: my drew starkey & characters masterlist is here !!
WARNINGS: cursing, hurricane, fear of loved ones dying, crying, panic attack, arguments, angsty love confession, angst to fluff !! (lmk if i missed anything !!)
WORD COUNT: 1.3k
SECOND PERSON +
The storm came fast and without mercy. What had started as a mild tropical storm rapidly intensified into a Category 4 hurricane barrelling toward the Outer Banks. Mandatory evacuation orders were issued for the Pogues and parts of the Cut, but for the Kooks in Figure Eight, the luxury of reinforced homes and private shelters meant hunkering down. The air felt thick with panic and pressure as everyone prepared for the worst.
Rafe had been at his father's old office on the more secure side of the island, trying to sort out some financial mess left behind by Ward, when the weather reports turned grim. His phone buzzed incessantly with texts and calls from people checking in or offering refuge. But Rafe didn't care about any of them.
He cared about one person.
"Y/N, just listen to me for once!" Rafe snapped, pacing the office as the storm began to howl outside. His voice was sharp, desperate even, as he tried to reason with his girlfriend. "Don't try to be a hero. Don't stop for anything. Just get in your car and come straight to the safe house. I'll meet you there."
"Rafe, I'll be fine," you said over the phone, your voice calm but firm. "I'm already on my way."
"You're sure? I can come get you. I should come get you," he pressed, running a hand through his hair. "This storm's getting worse by the second. I don't want you driving in this."
"I've got it under control," you reassured him, a smile in your tone even though he couldn't see it. "I'll see you soon."
But the second the line went dead, unease settled deep in Rafe's chest. He tried to tell himself you were capable, smart, and resourcefulâqualities he loved about you. Still, that didn't stop the gnawing anxiety that clawed at him as he headed toward the safe house.
â
The drive was hellish. Rain lashed against your windshield, the wipers barely able to keep up. Floodwaters licked at the sides of the road as you maneuvered carefully toward Figure Eight. It wasn't long before you lost signal entirely, your phone cutting off mid-text to Rafe. You cursed under your breath but pressed on.
You'd been almost to the safe house when a thought struck you like lightning. Earlier that week, Rafe had been pouring over some old financial records and papers that he needed for his next move with the family business. He'd spent hours meticulously going through them, and you knew they were stored in his father's house.
Your chest tightened. If the storm destroyed everything, Rafe would lose all that work. Against better judgment, you turned onto the road leading to Tannyhill. You told yourself it wouldn't take longâjust in and out.
By the time you made it to the safe house, it was well past dark, and the storm had intensified. The wind howled like a living thing, rattling the reinforced windows and slamming against the door as you stumbled in, soaked to the bone.
"Rafe?" you called, setting the plastic bag containing the saved papers down on a table. "I'm here."
It took less than ten seconds for him to appear. His hair was disheveled, his clothes wrinkled from hours of pacing. The moment his eyes landed on you, relief flickered across his faceâbut it was quickly replaced by something far darker.
"Where the hell have you been?" he shouted, storming toward you. His voice was a mix of anger and panic, his chest heaving as he stopped in front of you. "I've been calling you for hours! Do you have any ideaâ" His voice broke, and he ran a hand down his face. "I thought something happened to you."
"Rafe, I'm fine," you said, trying to placate him. "Iâ"
"You're not fine!" he snapped, his voice rising again. "You think this is fine? Driving through a hurricane, ignoring my callsâwhat were you even doing?" His eyes darted to the bag on the table, and something clicked. "You stopped for papers?"
"Rafe, I know how important they are to youâ"
"Papers?" he interrupted, his voice incredulous. "You risked your life for some stupid papers?"
"They're not stupid!" you fired back, your own frustration bubbling to the surface. "You've been working so hard on this, and I didn't want you to lose it all."
"I don't care about the damn papers!" he yelled, his voice cracking under the weight of his emotions. "Don't you get it? I don't care about any of that fucking shit if it means losing you!"
You opened your mouth to respond, but he cut you off, his breathing growing erratic. His hands trembled as he backed away, pressing his palms to his temples. "I can'tâGod, I can't do this," he muttered, his voice barely above a whisper. "I thought you were dead, Y/N. I thought I lost you out there.â
"Rafeâ"
"You're all I have," he said, his voice breaking completely as tears streamed down his face. "You're all I have, and I can't lose you. I won't survive it."
His words hit you like a tidal wave, the raw vulnerability in his voice leaving you momentarily stunned. You stepped toward him cautiously, reaching out to touch his arm. "Rafe, I'm here. I'm okay," you said softly. "I'm right here."
But he didn't seem to hear you, his breathing growing more rapid as he sank onto the couch. His chest heaved, and his hands gripped the edge of the cushion like it was the only thing keeping him grounded.
You knelt in front of him, your heart aching at the sight of him falling apart. "Rafe, look at me," you said firmly, taking his hands in yours. They were cold and clammy, shaking like leaves in the storm outside. "Breathe with me, okay? Just breathe."
He tried to match your breaths, but his body refused to cooperate. Desperation clawed at him, his gaze wild and unfocused. "I can'tâI can'tâ"
"Yes, you can," you said, your voice steady despite the tears streaming down your face. You guided one of his hands to your chest, pressing his palm flat against your heartbeat. "Feel that? I'm still breathing. I'm still alive. I'm here, Rafe."
Something shifted in his eyes as he focused on the steady rhythm beneath his hand. He gripped your shirt like a lifeline, his breathing slowly evening out. "You're here," he repeated, his voice barely audible. "You're here."
"That's right," you said, brushing a damp strand of hair from his forehead. "I'm here, and I'm not going anywhere."
For a long moment, neither of you moved. The storm raged on outside, but inside, the only sound was the quiet rise and fall of your breaths. Finally, Rafe pulled you into his arms, holding you so tightly it almost hurt.
"I'm sorry," he whispered into your hair. "I'm sorry for yelling. I was just so scared."
"I know," you said, your voice muffled against his chest. "I'm sorry, too. I should've just come straight here."
He pulled back just enough to cup your face in his hands, his blue eyes searching yours. "I don't say this enoughâor at allâbut you mean everything to me, Y/N. I don't know what I'd do without you. Youâre my whole world. Not work, not money, not anything; you. I love you, so fucking much.â
Tears welled in your eyes again, but this time, they were from something far warmer than fear. "I love you, too," you said, leaning into his touch.
The two of you stayed like that for a while, wrapped in each other's arms as the storm began to lose its fury. Whatever chaos the hurricane had brought, it couldn't touch the calm you found in each other.

Baby
Michael Robinavitch x Reader
Warnings: Smut, 18+, breeding kink, slight mirror sex
Description: A text from Robby turns into a heavy request at work.
Michael Robinavitch Masterlist
--
Every now and then, Robby texted you to meet him for coffee while the Pitt was suspiciously calm. Sometimes, he came to your office for a quick kiss and snatched one of the candies from the jar on your desk. But this was a little different.
Meet me in call room 3 in about 10 minutes.
So you finished up the note you were scribing in a patientâs chart and headed downstairs. You entered the on-call room slowly, peeking in to make sure nobody was occupying it. When you found it empty, you stepped in and shut the door behind you. The room had a twin-sized bed, a bedside table with a lamp, and a full-length mirror. Youâve spent many nights in one of these rooms, usually when a blizzard crosses Pennsylvania, rendering it dangerous to travel home. You sat on the edge of the bed, switching the lamp on to bring some warm light into the dark room.
The door creaked open, and Robby carefully slid through before closing it again. âHey, stranger.â He whispered. He didnât make his way over to you like you had expected him to.
You smiled and tilted your head. âHey. Why are we in here?â You asked, not sure of what he had in mind.
Robby stood tall in front of the door, nearly rivaling its height. His gold chain glimmered in the low light of the room as he shifted his weight on his feet. It wasnât like him to be so quiet or soâŠtimid? His eyes moved from you to the ground.
You furrowed your brow and stood to meet him. âBaby, are you okay?â You asked, reaching your hands to the collar of his worn hoodie.
Robby just nodded, but you could see on his face that the gears in his brain were turning. Like he was actively planning what to say. You rubbed soothing circles on his broad chest, something you did whenever he had a panic attack or trouble speaking. After what seemed like hours, he broke the silence.
âDo you want to have my baby?â
Your hand froze in place on his chest. The wind was knocked out of you. All you could do was stare at your boyfriend in the low glow of the room and blink. You and Robby had been dating for a year and a half. In secret. Nobody within the hospital, especially the administration, knew about it. And he wanted to have a baby? The most public thing a couple could do aside from a big white wedding? Sure, you had come to terms with the fact that you were dating an older man who may be past that point in his life. But even though you wanted it deep down, you never expected him to bring it up. You always assumed it would be a happy accident and-
âIâm not going to ask you again.â Robbyâs voice cut through the silence, and you couldnât quite place the tone.
You took in a breath, realizing you had been holding it this entire time. âYou want a baby?â Was all you could whisper.
Robby nodded and scratched the back of his neck, his nervous tick. âIâve beenâŠthinking about it. For a while now. But I just didnât know how to say it.â He explained, looking away from your eyes. âWe had a patient this morning who wasâŠof my century.â He began, and the edges of your lips curled into a small grin at his storytelling. âHe had his wife and two young daughters with him. He kept thanking me over and over because we saved his life. He kept talking about how happy he was to have his daughters, even that late in his life. AndâŠâ
You tilted your head so that your eyes met his line of vision. âAnd?â
He reached up and grasped your hand that still rested on his chest. âAnd I want that with you. I want to have a family with you, I want to watch our kids go off to college. If I wait any longer, I might not be able to see them go to high school.â He continued.
You felt tears prick your eyes as he spoke. You squeezed his hand tightly and let out a breathy laugh. âI want that, too.â You whispered.
Robby smiled slowly, and you could see the tears welling up in his eyes. âYou do?â He asked.
You grinned and placed your hands on either side of his face. âYes, Robby. Michael. I really want it.â You assured him, and the tears fell down your cheeks.
Robby grabbed you by the waist and pulled you in close for a kiss. Your hands slid to his peppered hair, pulling him even closer. The kiss was firm and passionate but quickly progressed to one of need. Robby shoved your white coat off your shoulders and tossed it to the bed. You pulled away slightly to laugh at him.
âOh, are we doing this now?â You teased.
Robby grinned and unzipped his hoodie, giving it the same fate as your white coat. âOh, absolutely.â He said before pulling you back in.
He left hot, wet kisses on your mouth that slowly trailed down your neck, dragging his teeth along your soft skin. You felt your skin prickle and shoved your hands under his scrub top, running your fingers across his decently toned abdomen. His hands moved to your ass, and he tapped the back of your thigh, signaling you to jump up. You grabbed his neck and hopped to wrap your legs around his waist. He securely carried you to the bed and laid your body down. He snatched at your scrub bottoms, pulling your panties down with them in one quick motion. While you threw your top off, he removed his.
You pulled him back, relishing the sensation of his burning hot skin on yours. He returned to kissing your lips, your neck, and anything he could get access to while his hand slid down to brush over your core. His fingers barely touched your sopping wet pussy, and he chuckled. âOh, is all this for me? So I can fuck a baby into you?â
You shuddered at his words and swallowed hard. âYes.â You managed to say, grasping his shoulders tightly as he teased your entrance.
âThen letâs stretch you out.â He said before shoving one finger into your pussy.
Even that alone made your toes curl and back arch. You shook your head. âNo, I want you now.â You pleaded.
Robby shook his head and started playing with your clit with his thumb. âNo, love. It takes three before youâre ready. Donât rush it.â He reminded you.
You squirmed in frustration, wanting more but knowing he was right. He added a second finger, and your walls squeezed around the added diameter. âRobby, please. Please, please let me have you.â You begged.
Robby reached for the drawstrings on his scrub pants and pulled them. âYouâre almost there. Youâre being such a good girl for me.â He assured.
Your eyes watched his hands pull his pants down and revealed his boxers struggling to suppress his massive cock. You let out a shaky breath as Robby began to tease your slits with the third finger. When it sank in, you squeezed your eyes shut in blissful pain. âOh, God, Robby. Please.â And you donât really know what you were begging for this time. Because you knew what was next.
Robby pumped his fingers in and out of your pussy, the squelching sounds filling the otherwise silent room. âI know, I know. Youâre almost ready.â He soothed, pressing a kiss against your temple.
The sweat was already beading at your neck. You reached for the outline of his cock in his boxers and wrapped your hand around what you could. Robby let out a hiss as you slowly rubbed the fabric, creating a friction that he was craving. He finally picked you up with his free arm and sat you down in his lap, back to his chest. He shoved his boxers down and spit on his hand, rubbing the saliva on his own cock for extra lubricant.
Your head fell back against his shoulder as he continued to finger you, letting out pitiful sounds of frustration. Robby kissed your shoulder and reached for your face. He adjusted your head to look straight at the wall. In front of you was the full length mirror that came with every on-call room. You were met with the reflection of Robby fingering you open, with his eyes meeting yours in the mirror.
âYouâre gonna watch while I fuck this baby in you. You understand?â He growled low in your ear.
You shuddered and nodded. âYes.â
âYes what?â
You swallowed hard, trying to adjust to his three fingers pumping in and out of you. âYes sir.â You breathed.
And with your answer, Robby replaced his fingers with his cock. He slowly pushed into you, one hand on your lower stomach as he did. You just knew he could feel himself pushing deeper and deeper until he maxed out. Tears fell from your eyes as he stretched you open.
âFuck, baby.â You hissed.
Robby didnât move, and let you adjust to his length. He brushed the hair out of your eyes and peppered kisses along your cheek and neck. âShhhâŠyouâre doing so good, love. Itâs almost over.â He whispered.
Your hands reached back behind you, grasping the back of his neck. The pain began to slowly neutralize, and your labored breaths were more steady. You gave him a small nod to keep going. Robby grabbed your hips and slowly pulled out, releasing the tension in your pussy, just to slam back in ruthlessly. If you had been at home, you would have screamed bloody murder, but all you could do was bite into your bottom lip. Robby repeated his motions, slowly out, pounding back in, creating a steadily faster rhythm.
Your eyes fluttered open, and the sight in the mirror was too much. Robby fucking you relentlessly, your breasts bouncing with each thrust, the glint from his gold chain glaring off the reflection. You grabbed his biceps and squeezed tightly. âRobby, I-â You tried to say. âIâm gonna come.â
Robby let out a breathy laugh, maintaining his bruising pace. âThatâs right, love. Come for me.â He whispered.
You felt the white hot burning in your stomach explode across your body, walls pulsating around his cock and lubricating even more. Robby continued to whisper a string of praises as you went limp in his arms. He held you up, continuing to pound into you at the same unrelenting pace, but you could tell that he was beginning to falter. With a few more thrusts, he emptied himself into your pussy, grunting as he did. You could feel each rope of cum burst inside you as he finished, and you felt a new excitement in your chest that you never had before.
When Robby was able to catch his breath, he turned your face to kiss your lips gently. âI hope you have a few more minutes before your next appointment.â He said. âBecause weâre gonna sit here until I know youâre pregnant.â

friends or lovers sim jaeyun

in which you and jake balance on the line between friends and lovers
jake x reader! | bsf2lovers, fluff | masterlist | permanent taglist!
warnings! mentions of anxiety/panic attacks
accidental hand touching
you were watching a movie with the boys, you and your best friend jake sharing a blanket. sometime in between re-adjusting yourself on the couch and him moving the blanket, you hands brushed against each other. this would have been normal, if you had moved on and continued watching the screen in front of you- but no. jake didnât move his hand, and when you turned to look at him, he was already staring back, a soft smile adorning his face.
when he moved you by your waist
you had been walking down a busy street after a nice night out with the members, and a couple of your friends. jake was walking beside you, on the side closest to the street as per usual, until a man emerged a couple feet away. he was wearing a black hoodie, and carried a suspicious bag. thatâs when you felt jakeâs hand on your waist, fingers tight around the skin, as if he was claiming you as his. he then moved you away from the man, giving him a death glare in the process. thank god it was dark, because youâre face was heating up.
when he knows your food orders
thereâs something about someone knowing you inside and out, and for you thatâs jake. you realized when he walked into your study room, asking everyone for their coffee orders. after he had made it around the room, he left without even staring at you. when he came back, he handed you your exact order. from then on, he brought you food without having to ask what you wanted, and it warmed your heart.
the way he calls you laylas mommy
after so many sleepovers and walks in the park with her, layla had gotten accustomed to your presence, and she quite enjoyed your visits. after a while, jake had started referring to you as laylas mom, telling her things like âgo to mommy layla!â , or âmommy and i will be back.â you just smiled, because at that point you really were the only woman in laylas life. but soon you began to wonder if the term was only for show, or a look into jakeâs feelings for you.
when he lets you steal his food
jake was very territorial over his stuff, especially food. when any of the members ask for a bite, he will deny them or give them the smallest bite known to man. like when ni-ki asked to try his ramen, jake had thrown a fit saying he shouldâve ordered his own. but when you ask, jake will just push his plate towards you, no complaints. itâs like his things became yours, no questions asked- like itâs just second nature to him.
him talking you through a panic attack
it had been a rough week, filled with overthinking and just plain exhaustion. between finals, work, and keeping your social life intact, you just bottled up your feelings so as to stay sane. one night you were at jakeâs apartment with all your friends, drinks and food sprawled all over their table. they all laughed and had fun, but you sat on the couch, feeling like your heart was beating out of your chest, a panic attack waiting to happen. thatâs when jake found you, eyes on the brink of tears, and so he guided you to his room. you broke down, feeling like you couldnât breathe. he just held you, telling you to breathe in for 4 and hold, then out for 4. he also had you name your favorite movies, songs, and memories together. after you calmed down, he wiped your tears, and cuddled you for the next 30 minutes as you spilled your heart out to him.
thatâs when you knew he was the one for you.

my bidder
summery: your parents have treated you like a show piece which Bucky hated. but what crossed the limit was when your parents hold you up for an auction without telling you.
pairing: dbf!bucky barnes x sub!reader
warnings: angst, fluff, SMUT, some plot but mostly smut, auctioning off a person, loss of virginity, panic attack mention, isolation mentioned, age gap (bucky is in his late 30s and reader is late 20s), use of nicknames (princess and baby), dom!bucky but no BDSM (because i don't know how to write it)
A/N: i love me some dad's best friend and especially Bucky. and seeing him in suit in thunderbolts is sending shivers down my spine.
James Buchanan Barnes was a bad man.
At least that's what he thought every time he saw you.
You were all he could think about every time your father was present in the room. Mostly because your father won't stop talking about you.
Your father had a tendency to show you off for his benefit and it irked Bucky greatly. You weren't something to be put in a glass jar but your father did just that. Your mom was no less. She too supported her husband on every decision he made about you and your life.
Bucky had seen you become trapped in your room because everything got too overwhelming. You had turned from a shy kid to a wallflower. That made Bucky overly protective of you. Every time your parents paraded you and your achievements around, Bucky would always cling on to you, trying to comfort you from a distance.
It was just another big party in the y/l/n household. You were forced to dress in white satin gown and were adorned with pearls. They had made you look like a virgin doll. They had their reasons for that, of course, but they hadn't told you anything about it. It's not like this was the first time you were being pushed into the unknown.
The room started to fill up and you started to notice that the room was filled with male guests. Occasional female guests but they all looked like escorts.
You shuddered with a bad feeling and slowly stepped in the shadows. A small yelp left your lips as you crashed into someone. Before you could scramble up and leave, you felt a metal hand steady your very open back.
âBucky?â
âHey, princess. You hiding again?â He chuckled at your jumpiness when someone walked too close. He pulled you closer. This was wrong. So wrong but you felt so right in his arms.
âSomething doesn't feel right about tonight. I'm way too dressed up for this.â You always felt comfortable in Buckyâs arms but you never said anything. Why? Because you weren't allowed to think or say anything on your own.
Bucky was looking gorgeous in his black tux. His hair was slicked back and he smelled devine. His eyes held the same softness you had become used to over the few years. But you shouldn't think about this. It was wrong. He was your fatherâs best friend. You shouldn't let your mind take his kindness as something more.
âYou look beautiful, princess.â
That nickname. He gave that to you when you met him the first day. You were dressed in your pink pjs and your hair was tied in a loose braid. You were about to go to bed but went down to the kitchen to get some water.
He was nursing a drink when you came across him. He figured you were the daughter and you knew he was the new friend your father had made. He got up from his seat and walked closer to you to introduce himself. He looked so much larger than you. To him you looked adorable and innocent, but locked up in a house. Since that day, he had been calling you âprincessâ because your cheeks always tinted pink when he did.
âYou look beautiful too, Bucky.â You whispered loud enough for him to hear you.
âWhy do you look more panicked than usual, princess? Did someone say something to you?â He brought his flesh hand and stroked your back gently to calm you.
âNo. That's the thing. Nobody is telling me anything. I don't know what today is about. And there are so many male guests. It's making me uncomfortable.â
âWait, so you have absolutely no idea how todayâs fundraiser is going to go?â Buckyâs eyebrows scrunched in concern. Something was definitely not right now.
You shook your head and looked at Bucky to give you answers. Your innocent eyes were calling to him but before he could tell you what's going on, your motherâs voice rang on the mic and your name was called.
Bucky reluctantly saw you walk away and you kept on glancing back at him. His eyes were filled with worry and you knew something wrong was going to happen.
Bucky sat down at his table near the stage where the auction was about to begin. He thought about why you weren't told about this but he wanted his thoughts to be proven wrong. Surely your parents weren't that power hungry.
All the women you had noticed were called on stage one by one and were being auctioned off. Your heart racing off the charts and you kept on glancing at Bucky from behind the curtains. He hadn't put in a price at any of them. You were relieved by that but terrified about you being put beside all these women.
Soon all the women in front of you were auctioned off.
âAnd now, a very special someone. She carries all of my pride with her.â Your father began your introduction and you smoothened your dress, trying to look brave.
Bucky felt like he was staring at the devil. How could your own father auction you off to all these sleazy men out here? His biggest fear of tonight was coming to light. He had been meaning to save you from this prison for a while and your father had just given him the reason to drag you away, even if it cost him a few hundred thousand bucks.
âPlease welcome my daughter, Y/N! Her bidding starts atâŠâ
You were now standing in front of all these⊠eyes. You felt cheap. You felt like a whore. Your parents had officially become vultures to you. Tears were streaming down your face as you stood on the stage. Nobody cared about that.
Because the spotlight was on you, you couldn't see who was bidding on you. But as the numbers went higher, the cheaper you felt. Till everything came to a standstill and you saw someone walk up to the stage.
âCome on, baby. Let's get going.â Buckyâs voice tore through the hooting and booing of the crowd.
You gasped in shock but you walked to him anyway. At least he made you feel safer. He wrapped one hand around your waist and the other around your legs and lifted you like a sack on his shoulder.
You refused to meet your parentsâ eyes as you were carried out of the room where another round of hooting erupted.
Bucky walked straight to your room, not bothering to stop anywhere else. When you both reached the door to your room, he slowly lowered you down. You were a crying mess but at least now you were safe.
âCome on, princess. Let's go in.â Bucky nudged your back a little.
âB-b-but that's my room.â You cowered.
âPrincess, listen. If you open your door and invite me in, only then will I step into your safe space. Also, I cannot talk about anything out here. There are ears everywhere.â He caressed your hair to calm you down. He brought out his handkerchief and cleaned your face a little to make you feel more calm.
You nodded and opened the door to your room and stepped in with Bucky in tow. As soon as you stepped in the room, he closed the door shut. You panicked. Was he going to do something? This is not how you pictured to spend time with the man you had fallen in love with.
âPrincess, don't worry. I didn't close, just shut the door for a little privacy. Now, pack your bags. I'm taking you home with me.â
âWh-what?â
You were shocked by his revelation. Anywhere would be better than here with your parents but you were not ready, were you? You really were a princess and anywhere else felt⊠scary.
âI'm not letting you stay here a minute longer. Showing off your achievements was different but auctioning you off is fucked up.â Bucky dragged out your big suitcase and started stuffing all your comfy clothes in it.
âBucky, wait, stop! What are you doing?â You hold his hand and pull him to face you.
âI am getting you out of here. Did you know what was going on down there? Teh auction? It wasn't just for the money. Those were⊠i cant believe your father⊠he was selling you off to the highest bidder. You would have been ruined by now! You weren't going to be returned if someone else had taken you!â
Bucky closed your suitcase after emptying more than half of your room. He was frustrated. He ran his hand on his hair and started dragging your suitcase out of the room.
âWait, Bucky! We canât- you can't just take me with you! That's- you're my fatherâs best friend.â
âI can.â He holds your jaw in his hand, softly but with authority. âI paid for you, princess. This is my one and only way of saving you from all of this.â
âWhy do you want to save me, Bucky?â Your voice faltered. Your face was very close to his.
âBecause, my dear Princess, you belong to me now. I've had my sights on you for a really long time and now I get to have you the way I want.â Bucky pecked your lips and held your hand to pull you to his car that was parked right outside the door.
âŠâŠâŠâŠâŠâŠâŠâŠâŠ..
You stepped in the Barnes Manor and looked at the grandeur of everything around you. You didn't expect Bucky to be so⊠materialistic.
âNot everything is mine. My ex wife was way too much into these things. Been trying to get rid of things but i don't know how or where to start.â Bucky looked at you as if he could read your thoughts.
He asked you to follow him and he took you to an empty room. It looked like an empty canvas. Buckyâs men dropped off your bags in the room and left, closing the door behind them.
âUmm⊠Bucky⊠How will you have me?â Your whispered voice bounced against the room walls, making Bucky take a sharp turn at you.
âWhat?â He was flabbergasted.
âWell, you, uh, paid for me. So, you get to have me, right? That's what the auction was about?â You were fidgeting, looking down at your shoes.
âIs that what you think?â Bucky walked closer to you. âThat I brought you here to have my way with you?â Bucky cupped your face and made you look up. âPrincess, I brought you here because I am not letting someone else have you, not because I want you.â
âSo⊠you don't want me?â Seeing him this close was bringing back those burning desires you have always felt for him.
Seeing your pout and hearing your question, stirred the buried desire in Bucky back to life. If he could, he would've taken you right there in your bedroom but he held on to the one thread of decency.
âDon't say it like that, princess.â There was barely any space between yours and his lips. âI want you so bad, baby, but it's wrong. You're my best friendâs daughter.â
Your eyes fall on his lips, refusing to waver. âYou're right. This is very wrong.â You curled your fist around his blazer pulling him slightly closer.
âPrincessâŠâ Bucky warned you.
âYes, sir?â The designation just slipped out.
Bucky lost all his control. He grabbed your face and crashed his lips on yours. His tongue slipped in your mouth as you moaned in the kiss. Your hand snaked around his neck and forced his face closer to yours. You bit his lower lip that made him groan.
He walked forward without breaking the kiss till you both hit the edge of the bed. He pushed you on the bed gently and hovered over you, taking your lips back on his. He kept on pushing you back till you were in the middle of the bed, all tangled up in him.
His lips moved on every inch of your face, kissing and then moved down to your neck, making you moan louder. He nipped at your skin and kissed down your valley before moving back up to your lips.
âPlease, sir.â You were begging so prettily. With perfectly swollen lips and dazed eyes, you looked every way ready to be fucked.
âPrincess, are you sure? This is your first time.â Bucky caressed your cheeks.
âYes, sir. Have me. I'm ready. Please fuck me. Please.â You fumbled with Buckyâs shirt buttons.
âOk ok.â Bucky chuckled, looking at your impatience. âWe've got to get you out of that beautiful dress first and then we will remove my suit, okay? And then if you still feel ready, i will fuck you.â
You scrambled up to your feet and tried to find the zipper of the dress to take it off, without trying to tear it. You pouted at Bucky who was looking at your struggle with an amused face.
âAlright. Let me help you. You'll be patient, yes?â
You nodded enthusiastically and stood still like the good girl you want to be for him. He moved you around and zipped down your dress and gently, it fell down at your foot, leaving you exposed. All you were wearing was white underwear since there was no way you could've been able to wear a bra in that dress.
âWow, princess, you are even more gorgeous than I had imagined.â Bucky gently cupped your boobs and thumbs your nipples, making you push yourself on to him.
âYou, you imagined me?â You look at him with wide eyes. You had never expected the man of your dreams doing the same thing you've been doing.
âOf course, baby. Why do you think it was so easy for you to let me kiss you?â Bucky started unbuttoning his shirt. Soon, he was standing in front of you, very, very naked.
You had wanted to cover yourself up but you were so distracted by him, his hands and then his large cock that until he held your hand and guided you back to bed, you were unaware about everything else.
âSo, one last time, do you want to go to sleep or do you still want to continue?â
Bucky was ready to pull on the comforter and go to sleep naked beside you. He could relieve himself in the bathroom. He didn't want to put any pressure on you.
âPlease, sir. Fuck me.â
Bucky wasted no time in tearing away your underwear and situating himself in between your legs.
âNow, I'm going to have to open you up for me. You still have a chance to say no. After I'm done using my fingers on you, if you feel you've had enough, tell me and we stop.â
Bucky was impatient to have you around his cock but he wasn't going to make you feel like you had to. He actually thought he didn't need to prepare you for seeing how wet and dripping you were for him. But he wanted your first time to be easy, as easy as he could make it for you.
âPay attention to this, princess. I will go easy but we will use safewords. We will use traffic signals. Green is for good, yellow is to pause or slow down and red is to stop completely. Tell me, which are the safewords? I want to hear them from you.â
âGreen is for good, yellow is for pause and red is for stop.â You repeated like a diligent student.
âMy good girl. Now, I will be inserting my fingers in you. If you feel uncomfortable, use the safewords. Do you understand?â Bucky started stroking your petals with his fingers, very slowly.
Your breath hitched and you nodded eagerly, excited to see and feel what Bucky would do to you. But he stopped stroking and looked with disapproval. âUse your words, princess. Do you understand?â
âYes I understand, sir. Please don't stop.â Your breathy reply gave Bucky the satisfaction and he started stroking your petals again, spreading the wetness all around.
Bucky decided not to make you beg so much and very slowly inserted his first metal finger in. you whimpered and gasped at the new intrusion. You cover your mouth with your hands and turn your face, trying to subside the noises coming out from you.
âLook at you, taking my fingers so well. So fucking beautful and tight, writhing under me. I haven't even put my cock in yet.â
Bucky was able slide his second finger just as easily because of how turned on you were. He increased his pace and you mewled under him. He tsked at you trying to hide your voices and so he brought his other hand over to your clit and rubbed it, making you move your hands from your mouth to grip the sheet under you.
âI knew I could get you to remove your hands. You sound so fucking amazing, princess.â
âOh god! I'm gonna- Bucky! Please, sir. I'm going to-â You were struggling to get the words out without moaning in between.
âCum for me, princess. Drench my fingers.â
And you did just that. His ministrations led to your cum spurting out on his metal hand that kept on moving in and out of you, making you ride your orgasm. When you came down from your high, he pulled his fingers out, licking them clean, making you wetter than you already were. A small moan escaped your lips, seeing him enjoying your juice.
âYou like seeing me enjoy your juice, don't you?â Bucky chuckled at your squirming reaction. He was still sitting between your legs, you being completely exposed to him.
You nodded with blush heavily creeping on your face.
Bucky leaned down and kissed you deeply, making you taste yourself. Your hands rested on his biceps as he sat back up. âWhat's your color, princess?â
âIt's green, sir.â
âGood girl. Now, do you want my cock in you?â
âYes sir.â Bucky pulled out a condom from the drawer beside the bed and put on the rubber. You looked intently at his actions, learning how to do it when next time you get to have Bucky.
Bucky pecked you on the lips again and aligned himself against your folds. You gasped at the new sensation. Bucky faltered a little. He was about to pull away but you held onto his bicep tighter and pulled him back.
âIt's green, sir. I will tell you if I want to stop. So please don't stop. I want you so bad.â
âYou beg so pretty, princess. How can I say no to you?â
Bucky pushed his cock furthur in you and just as he was completely in you, your back arched, letting out a lazy moan and a hiss from your throat. Bucky groaned as he felt you tighten around him.
âFuck, princess. You're strangling me.â
You mewled as he began to move. In and out. The motion was simple but the feeling building inside of you wasn't.
âBeen wanting you for so long, sir.â A strangled cry from your mouth cut you off as he pushed himself deeper. âBeen thinking only about you.â
Bucky groaned at your confession and his speed increased, making your back arch again with a sudden loud moan. âMy princess. All mine, aren't you?â
A garbled moan left you before you could form a full sentence. âAll.. yours⊠sirâŠâ
âPlease go faster, sir.â You dug your nails in his bicep.
âNo, I don't want to hurt you.â His voice strained. He was holding himself back and you knew that.
âYou will never hurt me, sir. Please go faster. Don't hold back.â
Hearing you affirm that you're okay, Bucky pressed himself on you and put his arms under you. Your arms held onto his back and your nails dug and dragged on his back, leaving marks as he increased his thrusting.
âOh god! Sir! Don't stop. So good!â
âNot stopping, princess. Never stopping. I could just keep on going like this.â
You mewled and whimpered at every thrust and he tightened his hold around you. Your nipples brushed against his and he moved his metal hand from under you to hold your nipple. He turned and twisted them, making you cry out in pleasure.
Bucky put his mouth on your boobs and sucked hard on your nipples, sending waves of pleasure to your folds. His relentless thrusting just added more to what you have been holding on to. The knot in your stomach tightened, sending a familiar shiver down your back.
âSir, iâm-â
âCum my princess, you've been good. Cum for me.â
Bucky sped up his thrusting and you arched against him as you found your release. He kept on thrusting through your orgasm, finally finding a release in you. Your pussy had tightened its hold on him and milked him so well. He kept on murmuring praises in your ear as his thrusting faltered and he stayed still.
âAre you ok, princess?â Bucky shifted and pulled out of you. You whined at the loss but were too fucked out to move. âUse your words, baby.â
âI'm ok. I'm more than ok.â You gave him a dazed smile that made him chuckle.
He stood up from the bed and carried you to the bathroom and helped you clean up. He filled the tub with warm water and sat you in the tub and settled behind you. He pulled you flush against his chest and you rested your head on his shoulder.
âWill you send me back? Now that you got what you paid for?â Your small voice clenched his heart.
âI didnt pay to fuck you, princess. I paid to get you out of that house. Having you in my bed, naked, wanting, is just a perk.â Bucky kissed your cheek and pulled you even closer. âI am not sending you anywhere, princess. You belong to me now. The moment you stepped in my house, you were mine. And now that I've had your taste, I'm not going back.â
âSo,â you fiddled with your fingers. âIf I belong to you, if I am yours, then does that mean you belong to me too? Does that mean you're mine too?â
âYes, princess. I am all yours.â Bucky kissed your shoulder and then pulled you in a sweet kiss.
You both get up from the tub and Bucky dried you with a fluffy towel. He put one of his old t-shirts on you and a pair of his old breezy boxers that had gotten too tight because of his thighs. He wore one of his joggers and an old tank.
You both slipped in bed and he pulled you flushed against him. You sighed deeply and closed your eyes as the tiring activities were taking over you. But then you had a thought and your eyes popped open. You sat up on the bed, startling Bucky.
âWhat about dad? He⊠won't he ask you to return me? What will we do? He'll be pissed. He will cut me off. I have nowhere else to go. I think I should go back.â
Bucky sat up and cupped your face, making you look at him. The panicked look in your eyes made him want to tuck you closer to him but it wasn't going to work. He needed to calm you.
âPrincess, look at me. What did I say about you being here?â
âThat I belong to you and I'm yours.â your voice turned smaller.
âExactly. So don't worry about your father at all. I'm here. I will handle everything. And you are not leaving this house. This is yours just as much as mine. Understood?â Bucky caressed your cheeks to calm you down.
âYes. Understood.â You moved closer to Bucky who pulled you further into his embrace.
âGood girl. Now get some sleep.â He pulled you back on bed and kissed your forehead as you snuggled closer into his arms.
Bucky knew it would cost something to have you in his arms but he also knew that once he had you, he would pay the price but never let you go.

Come on, breathe with me.
Sylus x MC/You
Scenario; Sylus helps you calm down a panic attack, fluff, comfort
Word count: 740 words
Warning: description of panic attack, use of pet names (sweetie, kitten)
You couldn't breathe.
Panic gripped at your chest so tight, it squeezed out the air inside your lungs.
In your mind, you kept telling yourself it was okay over and over again, like a mantra.
You kept trying to remind yourself of your own grounding techniques, the ones that would work every time you were alone.
But you weren't by yourself this time. You craved Sylus' touch, craved his voice like you had never craved it before. All you wanted was to see him, have him tell you it was okay.
You were shaking heavily as your legs carried you towards his office where you found the door slightly open, the gentle melody of a vinyl record drifting out of the room.
Usually, you'd rap your knuckles against the door before you entered but there was just this tightness in your chest, an inexplicable urgency.
When you burst into the room, Sylus' eyes lifted from the stack of documents he was holding to meet yours.
"What's wrong, sweetie?" he questioned, instantly standing up.
The stack of documents he was analysing was instantly discarded onto his desk and in a few quick strides he was standing right in front of you, catching your hand which reached out for him within his gentle fingers.
As you told him what had triggered you to the best of your abilities, tears started flowing down your cheeks heavily, blurring your vision and making it hard for you to focus on the crimson eyes which gazed back at you attentively.
He listened to you closely, low encouraging hums rumbling from his chest, a big hand cradling your chin, the pad of his thumb wiping away the heavy tears as they kept falling from your eye.
"Oh, kitten," he cooed and even through the tears you could see his eyes soften.
Their usual cold crimson was warm, a vermillion ocean, so deep and tender.
You squeezed his hand and he let you, without a flinch, his thumb tracing over your knuckles back and forth at a slow, mindful pace.
"It's okay. You're okay," he reassured you in a low tone.
You sobbed and choked all at the same time, the emotions flooding you far too great.
"I c-can't breathe," you told him miserably, gripping onto him like a lifeline.
"Yes, you can. Come on, kitten, breathe with me."
The steadiness in his deep voice was soothing and you felt it in your racing heart.
"Come on, breathe in," and he did it with you, taking in a deep breath at the same time you attempted to.
When you shook your head, assaulted by another wave of sobs, he kept catching your tears, squeezing your hand in his.
"Shhh, it's okay. You're safe," he told you, gentle and firm. "There's no rush, take your time."
You wanted to close your eyes and focus on the slow stroking of his thumb over your knuckles but you were terrified he'd slip through your fingers if you did.
"I'm not going anywhere," he assured you, as if he could read your thoughts.
Sometimes you were thankful for his ability to predict just what was going through your head, through your heart.
"Come on, breathe with me."
Sylus wasn't demanding but his tone was firm, always steady, like an anchor.
"Deep breath in, can you do that with me?"
And you did, shakily so, along with him.
"Thatâs it, good. Now out, slowly."
And you let out the air trapped inside your lungs, feeling his warm breath against your wet cheeks as he breathed out along with you.
"Come on, you can do it again. Deep breath in."
And he kept coaxing mindful breaths out of you, his hands never leaving you, eyes locked onto yours the whole time.
When you were finally able to breathe on your own, he reached back for the box tissues on his desk, plucking a few out. Always keeping a point of contact, with his hand still within yours.
"My sweet little kitten," he cooed, turning towards you again.
With a gentle touch, he helped you clean the remains of tears and snot off your face.
"How about we go get you some snacks and huddle up on the couch? We can watch that movie you mentioned?" he offered, thin lips curved by a small, gentle smile.
"What about your work?" you questioned, already being led out of his office.
"It can wait." He shrugged.

Hi Mae :))
I know this is kinda similar to one of your other fics, and also weirdly specific haha so I totally get if you donât want to do it, but would you be willing to do an
emt! Maruaders x reader whoâs getting surgery, and has a panic attack in the pre-op room bc the nurse and anesthesiologist are just being really dismissive of her, and the Marauders get protective and intervene, and comfort reader?
This is based on irl experiencesâIâm not scared of anesthesia, Iâm scared of not getting properly sedated/anesthetized during procedures. I have lots of health issues and ended up with ptsd because during one of the procedures that was supposed to be âdeep sedationâ (where youâre technically awake but youâre completely doped up and donât feel/remember anything), they didnât give me the proper dosage, so I was fully awake and literally sobbing and screaming and the nurses and doctors were just like âno we gave you the meds, youâre fine, youâre not in painâ. So now I have panic attacks when I get procedures done if I feel like iâm not being listened to, and that something similar could happen againđ
That sounds so scary babe, I'm so sorry that happened to you! Thank you for the request <3
cw: hospital, not-super-compassionate reponse by healthcare professionals, panic attack, I feel like probably a lot of this is inaccurate/against most policies so sorry about that
emt!marauders x fem!reader ⥠573 words
âSweetheart, sweetheart.â Jamesâ hand is clamped over your IV, his other arm around your shoulder as he wards off the nurse. âYouâre okay, my love, justâcould you give her a bit of breathing room, please?â
His voice sharpens when he speaks to the nurse, and though you know that tone isnât meant for you, it rubs against your already frazzled nerves to send hot tears tumbling down your cheeks. The two other people in the room, the nurse and anesthesiologist for your surgery, both look more harried than alarmed at your upset.
âWe have to take her backââ the nurse begins to say.
A sob wrenches out of you. âWaitâwait, wait, pleaseââ
James shushes you, pressing his forehead to your temple. âYouâre okay, angel. Iâve got you, yeah? Youâre okay.â You quiet, and he stamps a kiss to your wet cheek. âShe said she needed a minute,â he tells the nurse. âJust give her a bit of time, she can relax if you let her.â
The door to your room opens. You begin crying anew as Sirius and Remus come toward you.
âHey,â Sirius coos, wrapping his arms around you tightly. Heâs a good deal taller than you standing by the bed, your face pressed to his chest. âWhat happened, baby? You were so calm just a few minutes ago.â
Itâs all you can do to sniffle against his shirt. In your periphery, you can see the nurse and anesthesiologist take a step back to make room for your boyfriends. Earlier, you were told it was a rule that you were only allowed to have one guest come into the pre-op room with you; it appears that circumstances have led them to bend the rules. In quiet tones, you can hear James explaining to Remus how youâd asked for a moment to prepare yourself before being given a sedative, and how the anesthesiologist beginning to go ahead with it anyway for the sake of time had led to your fright.
Sirius must be listening, too. His grip on you shifts, his hand cupping the back of your head protectively.
âOh, sweetheart.â Remus sounds compassionate. He takes your hand, fingers twining with yours, and James finally lets go of your IV, reassured youâre not going to try pulling it out again. âThat must have been so scary. Youâre alright now, though, yeah? Take some breaths.â
You try, feeling the heat of your tears on Siriusâ shirt. He rubs your back encouragingly.
âI donât want to do this anymore,â you choke out.
âShh, youâll be alright,â Remus reassures you. âI understand you felt rushed, but it was only a misunderstanding. Everything can still go perfectly. Soph knows what sheâs doing.â
Your anesthesiologistâSophie, as sheâd introduced herselfâoffers a sheepish smile.
âAnd,â Sirius says pointedly, âtheyâre going to listen to you. Okay? I promise.â
Your breaths are coming easier now. It feels good, hiding in Siriusâ front; you can almost pretend everything outside of this doesnât exist.
âOkay,â you say tremulously.
You feel Remus raise your hand to his lips. âThereâs our girl.â He kisses your knuckles. âKeep breathing like that, love. Youâre doing beautifully.â
âCan you please stay?â
âYeah,â James answers before anyone else in the room can, âthey can stay.â
âDo I have to go back now?â
âNo, lovie.â He rubs your leg soothingly. âI know your teamâs got a schedule to keep, but Iâm sure they can spare a few minutes. Take your time.â

(not) my girl - rafe cameron
summary: if rafe cameron is so sure he doesn't need to be seen with you at midsummers, you are more than happy to oblige (or) the time you drove rafe insane with jealousy.
word count: 3.4k
a/n: inspired by this post by the sweet @writingsbychlo âĄ
You were curled up on Rafeâs lap, head resting on his shoulder with his arms circled around you and his fingers mindlessly tracing patterns on your thigh as he talked with his friends around the firepit in his backyard.
You had been hooking up for a few months and recently you felt like you were right on the cusp of him asking you to make things official, exclusive. You were spending nearly every night together and every time he asked to talk or wanted to hang out you got your hopes up that this would be the time he brought it up, only to be crushed over and over again.
Deep down, you knew how Rafe felt. People who were âjust hooking upâ didnât beg you to stay every morning, didnât make room in their dresser for you, didnât wake you up with featherlight kisses to your cheeks, your forehead, your nose, face breaking into a ridiculous smile when your eyes fluttered open to find his drinking you in, they didnât call you during a panic attack after fighting with their dad, pleading to hear your voice as the only thing that would calm them down. No, you were pretty sure you knew exactly how this boy felt, but you wanted him to acknowledge it. You ached to hear him say with pride âthatâs my girlâ, to mark you as his own.
Your eyes flitted across the fire to your best friend Olivia who wiggled her eyebrows at the sight of you and Rafe together, all too aware of the situationship you were in and how badly you wanted him. You blushed and rolled your eyes back at her, just trying to enjoy this small moment where he showed his affection for you in front of other people. She winked at you before interrupting the conversation.
âSooo, who is everyone taking to Midsummers?â
You shot her a look that screamed what the hell are you doing!? You were still holding out hope that Rafe was going to ask you, even though it was less than a week away. Maybe he had an elaborate, last-minute surprise planned?
âFeel pretty good about my dateâ Kelce murmured, pressing a kiss to Oliviaâs cheek as she giggled. âWhat about you Top, still intent on macking on Rafeâs sister?â he asked. Topper threw an empty beer can at him as everyone laughed.
âI donât know why we even bother with datesâ Rafe said. âWeâre just gonna dick around together all night anyway, thereâs no point.â He took a swig of his beer without meeting your gaze. You felt your cheeks warm in embarrassment and a painful ache in your throat as you tried to hold back the tears that threatened to spring forward. You met Oliviaâs gaze again and she nodded encouragingly towards Rafe.
âW-what about me, Cameron?â you asked, trying to mask your feelings, to sound chill as you poked him in the side.
He looked at you sweetly, âCâmon and say what when my dad asks about you? âHey dad, hereâs the girl Iâve been sneaking through the back door every night and smashing while you and Rose are three doors down? Hard pass.â He laughed, focusing back on his beer and his friends as you felt his hand slide off your leg.
You allowed yourself to be genuinely upset for three days.
You didnât sleep at Tanneyhill for the first time in months, you didnât even answer his texts which grew increasingly more insistent the more you ignored them. You stayed home, you cried, and you contemplated what the fuck you were doing with your life. Was that really all you were to him â just someone he was sneaking around with? Did you somehow become that girl, too naĂŻve and too stupid to see that she wasnât and would never be anything more than a hookup?
You thought about the way Rafe reached for you and held you in his sleep, the way his hands ghosted over your body, the things heâd whisper in your ear, the times youâd ridden shotgun in his truck or heâd taken you to his favorite spot on the beach⊠Your heart was so sure about him, but your head throbbed with the echo of his words.
You and Olivia talked incessantly about it, dissecting everything heâd said. âMaybe he just needs a little push, a little⊠motivation?â she suggested, and the more you talked about it, the more you realized she was right.
If Rafe Cameron was so sure he didnât need to be seen with you at Midsummers, you were more than happy to oblige.
The last of the hot summer sun was settling over the ocean as you climbed the front steps of the Island Club in daring three-inch heels; the added height gave your figure a perfect sway that simply begged people to watch you as you walked by. Your dress had a thigh-high slit, open back, and was the perfect color for your skin tone, illuminating you; the neckline was devilishly tantalizing, giving the desired effect of drawing all eyes to the dazzling diamond pendant that reflected the setting sun.
Rafe heard you before he saw you; rather, he heard a sea of murmurs rippling through the crowd which drew his attention to the doors just as you walked through by yourself, essentially announcing to the island that you were alone for the night.
âGeezusâ he heard Topper mutter under his breath as he took you in. Normally, he would have known better and normally Rafe would have put his head through a wall for glaring at you the way he was, but even though his fists clenched in response and he wanted to turn and say something to him, he simply couldnât take his eyes off of you; âGeezusâ didnât even begin to cover it.
You were always undeniably beautiful to Rafe: when you wore his oversized sweatshirt around the fire pit, when you were makeup-less in your wet bikini at the beach, and especially when you were wearing next to nothing tangled up in his limbs and his soft sheets, but the dress you had on, the way your hair shone in the last rays of the sun, the way you were positively radiating had his pulse throbbing in his neck, his adamâs apple bobbing and his palms sweating. Fuck, I am so happy sheâs mine he thought to himself, smiling and moving to walk towards you as your eyes met his across the crowd.
You were glowing at him and sent him a discreet smile as you greeted people and made your way in his direction. He couldnât wait to get his hands on you, to have you at his side so everyone knew you were his. You approached your friends, dropping a kiss on Topper and Kelceâs cheeks before doing the same to Rafe. You made to move past him quickly, intent on talking to Olivia when he grabbed your hand.
âHey, hold up you-you lookâŠâ he started to say, trying and struggling to find the words to capture the way his heart was pounding in his chest.
Your wide eyes met his expectantly and just when he opened his mouth to speak, they flitted over his shoulder.
âOh! Sorry, Rafey! Just saw someone I want to catch up with, Iâll see you laterâ and without another word you walked away, leaving Rafe Cameron, the King of Kildare staring and stuttering after you.
You were walking away from him? he thought. You had seemed so adamant about this whole Midsummers thing, dropping hints about going together and now here he was, practically ready to get down on one knee at the sight of you, and you were walking away from him? He was speechless. He turned to watch you go⊠right into the arms of another man. He looked to be about your age, the same height and a similar build as Rafe, because of course Rafe was sizing him up, how could he not? This guy had his paws all over his girl. And then, after a momentâs realization, he thought darkly, sheâs not your girlâŠ
You had greeted this guy with a huge hug, and heâd nearly lifted you off the ground, now he had your full attention and you were laughing at something he said, the most sweet and perfect sound that Rafe wanted only for himself.
As everyone took their seat for dinner, you intentionally positioned yourself across the table from Rafe. The slight of not sitting next to him where he could run his fingers up your thigh or tangle them in your own left him fidgeting instead, buttoning and unbuttoning his jacket and swirling his drink. What the fuck did I used to do with my hands? he thought angrily.
You paid him no mind, instead, leaning forward on your elbows and toying with the diamond pendant around your neck, fingering it, twirling it and sliding it back and forth on its chain.
âHoly DIAMOND, girl!â Olivia said as she took note of your necklace and leaned over to get a closer look. âIs it new, where is it from?â her eyes shot from you to Rafe and back again.
He glared at you both over the rim of his glass as he took a deep gulp, trying to act unphased but also extremely curious to hear your answer knowing damn well it wasnât from him.
Your eyes flitted to Rafe briefly before you leaned towards Olivia, lowering your voice, but not so low that he couldnât hear you. âIt was⊠a gift from⊠someone specialâ you said winking conspiratorially at her.
Rafe choked on his drink just as someone was standing up at the front of the crowd to make a speech, shifting everyoneâs attention and interrupting the slew of words that nearly poured out of his mouth.
Who the fuck on Kildare fucking Island was buying his girl jewelry? he thought. And then, again, he reminded himself, sheâs not your girl⊠the thought making his whole body tense, rigid and taught in anger and frustration.
For the next 20 minutes, all he could do was stare at you as you twiddled that ridiculous necklace in your fingers, imagining what it would be like to rip it off of you and replace it with something twice as nice. He was mentally calculating how much he would spend and how quickly he could get it when JJ Maybank passed by their table. Rafe had a snarky comment on the tip of his tongue until he watched JJ do a double take at you and stop in his tracks.
Donât do it, Maybank, Rafe thought. Donât you dare do it.
He watched JJ eye you and the distance between you and Rafe and, deeming it safe, peddled back, pulling a glass of champagne off his tray and handing it to you with a flourish. He knelt down next to your seat and when you turned to talk to him, it left JJ perfectly eye level with your cleavage. He was whispering something to you and you rested your hand on his bicep as you leaned forward to hear him. Rafe could see you blushing, and he watched Maybank take in every greedy eyeful of you. Rafe stood up so abruptly, it knocked his chair over and rattled the plates on the table. Everyone looked up at him, including you, and for the first time that night he had your full attention as your eyes widened at his reaction.
âYN, inside, letâs goâ he said simply, walking to your side of the table.
You raised an eyebrow at him and his demanding tone.
âAnd Maybank if you donât stop staring at her tits, I will put your face through this table.â
JJ quickly stood up and backed away with his hands raised in surrender as Rafe approached you.
âRafe we were justââ you started.
ââ Inside. Nowâ he said, taking you forcefully by the arm and leading you inside and into the locker room.
âRafe! Come on! Stop it! I want to spend the night with my friends, I donât know what you possibly have to be mad atâ you said in resistance.
And that was the very last straw for him.
âWHAT I HAVE TO BE MAD AT?!â he said, incredulous, nearly shouting. âWhere do I even begin with you!? You blow me off all week, then you waltz in here looking like an absolute bombshell, wearing next to nothing â I swear to God, Iâve seen you in bikinis with more material - every guy here is leering at you. Then youâre talking to that jackass who had his hands all over youâŠâ he said, exasperated.
At this point he was pacing, his voice continuing to rise in anger and frustration. ââŠAnd then Maybank?! Maybank of all people?! He was flirting with you right in front of me. Was it to make me jealous? Is that what this is all about? Because Iâm about to lose my fucking mind YNâ he said running his hands through his hair, giving you sick pleasure knowing it took him probably an hour to style it. A surprised if not amused look rested on your face as you continued to twirl your necklace in your fingers.
âAnd who the fuck gave you thatâ he pointed accusingly at the diamond in your hand, not giving you a single second to respond, âNo. Absolutely not. Take it off. Right nowâ he said, walking briskly towards you in an effort to do it himself.
You held out a hand to stop him.
âI donât know what the big deal is Rafeâ you said innocently. âWhat difference does it make? Iâm just the girl youâre sneaking through your back door every night to smashâ you shrugged, your eyes burning at him.
His eyes widened as he heard his own words on your lips.
âNo, thatâs â thatâs not â I didnât meanâ he stuttered.
You gave him a vicious look as you watched the gears turn in his head and he tried to string a sentence together.
âLook, I didnât mean it like that â I shouldnât have â what I meant was â ahh, fuck itâ he said, taking a step forward and closing the distance between you in an instant, one hand holding your face firmly as he pushed you against the lockers and the other coming to rest on the wall beside you, caging you in against him as he pressed his lips bruisingly to yours, devouring you, just like heâd wanted to do all night.
You wanted to stay strong, to argue, to tell him he wasnât going to win you over like this. But he was. He so so was as he deepened the kiss almost instantly and the pad of his thumb ran across your cheek sending a shiver through your body. When he finally felt you relent and kiss him back, winding your arms around his neck and pulling yourself flush to him he let out a small groan that almost made you forget the whole point of tonight. Almost.
You pulled back, leaving not even an inch between you. The feeling of you kissing him had calmed him down significantly. His breathing had slowed but his cheeks were still flushed and his hair was mussed. He lingered there, his nose brushing yours as he stroked your cheek.
âYouâre my girlâ he whispered finally.
âAre you asking or telling?â you whispered back.
âDo I really need to ask, princess?â he said, meeting your gaze with his own.
You raised an eyebrow at him threateningly.
He rolled his eyes and said in a sigh, âBe mine?â
You bit your bottom lip and pretended to think about it. âGosh, I donât knowâ you said, pressing a slow kiss to his lips âMâmight have to think about itâ you said, pressing another kiss there, lingering longer âMmâmight need some convincingâ you said, kissing him again and running your hands up his chest.
His voice was low but steady, âI will take you home right now and convince you as many times as you need me toâ he said, kissing you back through a smile.
âDealâ you replied sweetly.
You moved to leave but he didnât let you go and when you met his gaze, his brow was furrowed, his eyes searching yours. âI am serious though, about this, about youâ he said. âIâm sorry I fucked up.â He looked uncharacteristically bashful, unsure even. âReally, are you mine?â he whispered.
âYes, Rafe,â you said as your heart fluttered in your chest âAll yours.â
He smiled stupidly, so far gone for you as he kissed you again. You were completely lost in the moment until he muttered against you, âThen please for the love of God will you take that necklace off and tell me who in the hell thought they could buy you something like that?â
You met his eyes strongly, the last embers of your pain crackling there.
âNoâ you said simply, continuing quickly when he tried to interrupt you. âIâm going to keep it and wear it whenever I damn well please to remind you of what you have and what you sure as hell want donât want to lose.â
He looked genuinely shocked to hear you challenge him like that and you could see a tic in his jaw as he worked it back and forth in anger.
âI⊠hate thatâ he growled. âWhat if I buy you something nicer?â
You shrugged noncommittally and he shook his head at you. âFine, letâs get out of here, that dress is killing me and I have a lot of convincing I want to do to you right now.â You giggled as he grabbed your hand and led you back outside, pressing a kiss to the side of your head.
When you rejoined the party there were a few murmurs and glances as you hung off his arm. Were you imagining it, or was he taking the long way back to your table, intentionally parading you around the patio and staring daggers at anyone whose gaze lingered too long? Being seen together at Midsummers was basically shouting from the rooftops that you were official. You were glowing, he was too. You said goodbye to your friends and within minutes you were in his truck headed back to Tanneyhill, his hand rubbing circles higher and higher on your thigh, your fingers in his hair.
He threw the car in park and scooped you over his shoulder, carrying you all the way upstairs like that, which had you shrieking in delight. He didnât set you down until you were in his room and he kissed you feverishly, his hands cupping your face, before his fingers traced your neck, nearing your necklace.
âRafeâ you muttered against his lips, a warning.
âJust tell me whoâ he muttered back, unable to let it go and kissing you deeper in the hopes of convincing you. âIâm already gonna to buy you a new one, youâll never wear this again, but I need to know. Canât stop thinking about someone else with their hands on youâ he said as he guided you backwards towards his bed, pushing you gently onto his comforter and crawling on top of you.
âI donât like it. I do not fucking like itâ he growled against your lips. Under his anger, you detected a hint of vulnerability and you broke your kiss just long enough to look into his eyes, which gazed longingly at you as they searched your face. Perhaps you had tortured this poor boy enough.
You sighed, relenting.
âOliviaâ you said.
He looked at you, completely confused for only a moment before the realization dawned on his face and he hung his head.
âThere isnât anyone elseâ he said in equal parts relief, frustration and embarrassment.
You shook your head at him.
âGod Iâm so fucking stupidâ he said.
You giggled before reaching behind your neck to unclasp the necklace and toss it on his bedside table.
He looked at you with heat and tenderness, âIâm sorry thatâs what it took for me to get my shit together. I wish it all happened differently, but I donât regret it. Youâre it for me, YN, no one else.â
He placed a kiss beneath your ear, to your throat, to your bare collarbone. âMy girlâ he whispered against your skin, enjoying how it felt on his tongue and the sound of your sweet laughter in response.

a/n: i don't go too in-depth about the miscarriage but it is known that she has one ALSO THIS IS THE MOST IVE WRITTEN EVER???? yall it took me TEN days to write this... anyway i hope you guys enjoy it <333
You stood watching the Dragons soar above the castle. Your hands sat clasped under your growing belly. You heard footsteps approach from behind you. You were pleased to see Jacaerys yet shocked to see the Queen trailing closely behind. You didnât see Rhaenyra much unless she had matters to discuss involving the warâ more specifically what you could do to help.
âJace,â you smiled before curtsying to Rhaenyra. âYour grace. Is everything all right?â
Jace came up beside you and placed a soft kiss on your cheek. His hand came to rest on your belly; something he did regularly since you two found out you were with child.
Rhaenyra smiled at the happy couple. âHowâs the babe, Princess?â Her question was genuine. She was very happy for you and the prince.
You smiled and placed your hand on top of Jaceâs, âHeâs moving a lot more.â
âHe?â The Queen exclaimed.
Jacaerys chimed in, âThe princess believes we are having a boy. I think it is a girl.â
Though it was nothing but harmless small talk you couldnât help but think there was something more they came up here to talk to you about. âNot that I donât enjoy your presence, your grace, but I canât help but wonder if there is some other reason you came up here with my husband.â
Jace stepped away from you and you looked at him with furrowed eyebrows. A feeling of worry and impending doom took over. The worst of the worst flooded your thoughts. You took a deep breath, âWas there a raven from the North? I-is my brother okay?â You tried to remain calm but the thought alone had you hyperventilating.
âHey, hey. Shhh.â Jacaerys cupped your face to calm you down. âEverything is alright, my love. Everything is safe up north.â More than one meaning was behind his words. He kissed your forehead as you caught your breath before you had a panic attack. âWhich is why you must go.â
What? You mustâve not heard the prince correctly.
âBeg your pardon?â Your eyes went from your husband to his mother quickly. The Queen, however, did not move. She let you and the prince talk this through.
Jacaerys grabbed your attention again. âYou are not safe here. Neither of you.â He looked down at your belly. Worry dripped from his words. After losing Lucerys he couldnât survive if he lost you tooâ the both of you. What is a man without his wife and child?
âYet Dragonstone is safe for you?â You couldnât believe what he was saying. You are going through something that should be faced together as a couple. Together as a family.
Jace took a deep breath. It was going to be harder to convince you than he originally thought. âItâs different.â
âHow? How is it different, Jacaerys?â You quipped
âBecause you cannot fight. We donât need you to fight. I donât need you to fight. I just need you and our future prince or princess to be safe. And that is not here. It cannot be here.â Jacaerysâ words punched a hole in your chest.
You felt so useless. You knew how to fight. It was one of your favorite pastimes with Cregan. But due to you being with child, it seemed to have left you feeling worthless. You stormed past the two of them, heading inside the castle.
You headed down a corridor for your bedchamber with hot tears running down your cheeks.
Rhaenyra was quick to follow you inside.âPrincess,â the queen spoke gaining your attention. âEvery day that that babe grows and flourishes inside of you, you are helping my claim and your husbands. Youâre helping us win. That is why we need you in Winterfell, with your brother and his men, so that you will be safe.â Rhaenyra and Jacaerys had spoken about this before they came outside to find you. They knew that this was the best way to secure your familyâs future. They just needed you to see that too.
She was right. You had the crown princeâs child growing within you. And keeping you safe is keeping the baby safe. âOkay, your grace. I will go.â You continued, rubbing your belly. âFor our protection.â
âIt must be tonight, Princess. Once you are farther along it will be too dangerous for you to fly.â
You nodded at your queen and headed to your chambers to gather what things you could.
Within hours you were atop Vermax, your arms wrapped tightly around your husband. The air grew crisp and cold as you flew closer to Winterfell. You buried your face into Jaceâs shoulder. You inhaled his scent, never wanting him to leave you. You knew that this was necessary. You held part of the succession to the Iron Throne inside of you.
You landed fairly close to the entrance of Winterfell. You embraced the cold air then you looked at Jacaerys who looked as if he might turn into a popsicle at any given moment.
Cregan called your name as you walked through the doors into Winterfell with the prince by your side. You picked up your pace and threw your arms over your older brotherâs shoulders. It had been a while since you last saw him. He squeezed you tightly. After your brother had passed, it was always the two of you. Protecting and comforting each other.
After separating from your embrace you both looked at Jace.
âCould we go inside? Preferably by a warm freshly lit hearth?â The crown princeâs teeth chattered together. His arms wrapped around his chest to preserve heat.
âAlways a dramatic to our cool air, my prince.â Cregan jested.
Jacaerys scoffed, âCool is drastically an understatement, my lord. Sea breeze is cool. This is whatever the complete opposite of dragon fire would be.â
You tried and failed to bite back your smile as you stuck your hand out to Jace. âCâmon my icicle.â
You and Cregan had convinced Jace to stay for supper and to spend one night in the castle before heading back down south.
You were in your nightclothes, standing in front of a warm fire. So much had happened in just a day. Your day had started in Dragonstone and had ended in Winterfell. All you could think about as you looked into the flames was your future with Jacaerys. What the future would hold when this dreadful war was over. What life would be like with your little family on Dragonstone.
Jacaerys walked up behind you and brought his hands to rest on your plump belly. He placed feather-light kisses on your neck, making you relax into him. He rutted his hips against your arse. You felt his hardness against you.
âJacaerys.â You warned. You brought your hand to the back of his head when the kisses to your neck got rougher. You spun around and as you went to slot your lips together, Jacaerys began to back away pulling you with him. He made you yearn for his kiss, a devilish smirk adorning his face.
You followed him entranced. You climbed into his lap as he sat on the bed. Jace rid you of your gown. Your arms fell to his shoulders, using him to steady yourself. He wrapped a strong arm across your back. He ran his unoccupied hand across your full stomach before running his hand up to cup your plump breast.
You let a whine out at your husbandâs touch. His hands left a trail of molten lava on every inch of you they touched. Youâve been ultrasensitive to his touch recently. âSomeone will hear us.â
âI do not care,â Jacaerys said bringing his hand to the nape of your neck, pulling you down to smash your lips together. He didnât know the next time he would see you after tonight. He was going to make sure he left an imprint. He moved his head down giving you a second to breathe. Your foreheads rested together. âI am the crown prince. I will have my wife when I so please.â
You moaned, snaking a hand to the back of the princeâs head to pull his head back. He groaned in response. You felt wetness pool in your smallclothes. Staring down at the pale skin on his outstretched neck. You quickly made work of ridding him of the thin shirt. Not even bothering with removing his pants completely, you only freed his hardened length.
The two of you stared down at your hand wrapped around the top of his shaft. Jacaerysâ slick smirk faltered when you began to pump him slowly. The tip of his cock hit your stomach, eliciting a moan from the dark-haired boy. Droplets of precome dripping from the head, smearing on your stomach.
Your breath hitched, âJace. I need you.â
âThen take me, darling.â
You let out a low whimper. You lifted your hips and ran his member down your folds til he reached your entrance. You leaned your forehead against his. You began to sit on his hardness. Feeling his cock enter you deliciously slow.
Jacaerys helped guide you down. You tensed, the burn from his size becoming too much.
Running a soothing hand along your spine, âBreath, my love. It is nothing you havenât had before.â Jace rasped against your lips.
You took a deep breath in and tilted your forehead against Jacaerysâ. You moaned as you exhaledâhis cock had begun to slip inside of you as you adjusted to his size.
âThatâs it. Thatâs my girl.â he moaned as he slid completely into you. He adjusted his grip so that his hands were at the base of your bottom, assisting you.
âJace.â You whimpered feeling so full it was overwhelming. So full of him. So consumed by him. He was all around you. He was completely inside of you, everywhere. You carried his babe inside of you. His blood practically ran in your veins.
âYes.â He groaned.
You attempted to move your hips to the best of your ability. But you were beginning to realize that your condition was going to be hindering your mobility. Especially while in bed with your husband. âI canât anymore. Iâm too-,â You tried to get out your words, exasperated by the difficulty this was causing you.
âShh, itâs okay,â Jace reassured you. He helped move you so that you could lay on your side. After placing you on the bed he stripped the rest of his clothes off of his body.
He laid behind you so that the two of you were spooning. âYou are so perfect.â Jacaerys praised you as he placed chaste kisses from your shoulder to your cheek and then to your neck.
You hummed at the words that left your husbandâs mouth. You lifted your leg so he could guide his cock to your entrance. He slowly began to press into you, his hand which was once on his member, moved to your hip to completely push into you.
Jace had to squeeze his eyes shut hard to make sure he didnât come too quickly. Your wet walls welcomed him in. They pulled him deep within your warmth. âYour sweet cunt is all mine, pretty.â He said into your ear, his voice coming out hoarse. He started to slowly thrust into you. He was so tender with you.
Jace had your walls clamping down on him within minutes. The angle at which he was rocking into you, made his cockhead hit that sweet spot deep inside of you leaving you a complete whimpering mess. You swear you could feel every detail of his member. The slight curve it had. And the vein that ran up the sideâ which you loved to trace with your tongue.
âFuck.â He groaned into your ear. His hand moved to hold on to your belly, spurring his thrusts. He pumped into you harder now. He loved seeing the results of his actions. Seeing his seed having taken root and growing a beautiful life inside of you. It drove Jacaerys absolutely insane.
âJace, itâs so-, Fuck!â You yelped at one particularly sharp thrust.
Jace brought his hand down to your sensitive cluster of nerves and drew figure eights. His hips snapped against your arse relentlessly. He loved the noises he was pulling from you as you attempted to keep quiet.
You turned your head back to face your husband as you felt your body begin to convulse. He covered your swollen lips as you let out a drawn-out mewl as you came. Pulsing around him, milking him for all he was worth.
The push and pull of your cunt caused his release to hit him hard and unexpectedly. He moaned into your mouth. He covered your walls in searing hot come. You two lapped your tongues at the others as Jace continued to slowly pump into you. Making sure he had emptied himself completely inside of you.
You winced as Jace pulled out. You hated the feeling of being empty, being without him.
He cleaned you up and you cuddled. One last night before gods knew how long.
One moon had passed since you last saw Jacaerys. And though you had not seen him, you had received a letter from him every other day. He expressed how much he missed and loved you deeply. How much he missed rubbing and kissing your belly. He worried the babe would forget his voice.
He told you that his uncles had been keeping a close look at the skies and that flying to you on a regular basis would do nothing but endanger the both of you. But he promised to fly to you when the babe arrived. He would be there for you. No matter what he would find a way.
You decided to take a stroll, needing a break from the interior of the castle. You were beginning to feel woozy and a change of scenery should do the trick. You had just begun your walk when your brother approached you. âSister. What are your plans for this afternoon?â
âRead, and read, and then probably read some more.â You joked with the taller man.
Cregan smiled warmly. âWhat if I knew something fun we could do that does not involve dusty old books?â
âAnd what would that be dear brother?â You had missed your brother and your people. You knew no one other than Jacaerys down south.
He leaned down, closer to you, âHunting.â Cregan said in a hushed whisper.
âHunting? In my condition?â You couldâve let out an obscene laugh, but you didnât. That wouldâve been absurd for a princess.
âOur ancestors had been doing it for centuries. You donât even have to get close to the animals.â Cregan bumped into your shoulder. âYou always had a natural talent with a long bow.â
He was being truthful, however, you hadnât picked up a bow or, any weapon for that matter, since you began your courtship with Jacaerys. That skill you once had probably dwindled to nothing. âFine. Under one condition.â
âAnything. I have missed my sister, dearly.â
Your lips upturned into a smile, âWe must stay close. If Jace sends a raven or by the grace of the Gods flies in, then I want to be near.â
âDeal.â
The two of you stepped just outside the gates of Winterfell. A quiver weighed heavy against your back, and your longbow sat comfortably on your shoulder. You welcomed the crisp air against your face. The war beams from the sun greeting your cheeks. Oh, how you missed the North. The South was beautiful but it would never compareâ it would never quite feel like home.
You and your brother forgone your horses for this hunt since he promised you you would stay close to the wall. You missed hunting. You missed having a bow in your hands. The adrenaline rush it gave was unlike any other.
You were about a quarter mile from the gates when something felt terribly wrong. Cregan turned towards you as he heard your footfalls cease.
Your bow fell, your hands dropping down to your stomach. âSomethings wrong.â You blanched. You turned behind you and looked down noticing a trail of blood. âCregan..â You gasped and just as you were about to collapse your brother rushed towards you, catching you in his arms.
Cregan had one arm under your knees and the other behind your back. He ran all the way back to the castle yelling for them to open the gates. His heart was pounding. He couldnât lose his sister like this. He made it to your bedchamber with the Maester Kennet following closely behind.
As Cregan placed you in your bed the Maester tended to you swiftly. You moaned in pain. âThis canât be happening.â
âHow far along is she?â
You spoke before your brother had the chance, âWe only found out two moons ago.â Your sentence finished with a loud groan.
Cregan stood there frozen watching you in pain. His first wife had suffered a terrible fate at the birth of his son. But you were his baby sister and he needed to be there for you in the absence of your husband. He ran to your side taking a warm wet cloth from one of the handmaidens, dabbing it on your forehead.
âSend a raven to Jace. Please.â You said hoarsely to your brother.
âHe wonât get it in time.â
âBut he will get it. Please just tell him it is urgent. I need him here. I do not care.â You moaned in pain, lurching forward. âCREGAN GO PLEASE!â
The lord rushed down the hall, your screams fading. He quickly found a sheet of paper and wrote a message to the prince hoping he would receive it faster than normal.
âWhere is she.â
When the prince arrived in Winterfell, he immediately sought Cregan. Finding him in the Great Hall. The letter Jacaerys received told him something was wrong with the babe and that he needed to come to the North as soon as he possibly could.
âSheâs at the godswood.â Cregan looked destroyed. âShe refuses to leave.â
Jacaerys went into the woods inside of Winterfell with a lantern since it was the dead of nightâ and way too cold for you to be out here in any state.
You didnât turn your head when he called out your name nor when he placed his hand on your shoulder.
âPlease look at me.â He pleaded. âIâm so sorry you had to go through that without me. Iâm sorry we were apart.â
You turned to him sharply. Bloodshot eyes and tear-stained cheeks. âWe were apart because you decided. You sent me away. You sent me away to go through this alone.â Venom dripped from your words, not hiding your pain.
âI sent you home so you would be safe. So you could bear this child in a safe environment with your family.â Jace tried his hardest to make you understand why he did what he did. âI did what I thought was best.â
âAnd how did that work out Jacaerys?â You knew you shouldnât be mad at him. It was a great loss for you both, but you needed to direct your anger, your hurt somewhere. âYou are my home. I needed you, and you werenât there.â
âI didnât know this would happen. The queen needed me and she needed my dragon.â He let out an exasperated breath. âThis war needs me!â
âMore than I? Your wife?â Your words stung him. Tears welt up in his eyes, seeing you like this. Hearing you speak to him like this.
âPlease,â Your name fell from his lips.
âYou cannot believe that to be true.â You finally reached out and grabbed Jacaerysâ hands, pleading. âJust stay here with me. That way we donât have to be apart again. We can guarantee each otherâs safety.â
âI canât.â The regret in his eyes was evident. He knew you needed his comfort. Husband and wife shouldnât be separated the way you have been. He, however, feels that pull to the war. Jace will not be seen as the princeling who didnât fight for his kingdom or his people. What kind of king would that make him in the future?
âJacaerys, you can. Your mother has plenty of men to fight for her. She sent your brothers away for their safety. Why would she deny you the same luxury?â
âTheir dragons arenât grown-,â Jace began.
You cut him off, âAnd Vermax is?â
Jace exclaimed your name, frustrated, âSending me away with Vermax means my mother is losing another dragon and dragon rider in a war between dragons.â He tried to compose himself not to raise his voice at you. âWe cannot sit here and argue when there is a war going on. We just lost our child! I do not want to sit here and argue with my wife when I should be holding her.â
Your face softens. âSo stay and hold me Jace. You can fly off with my brother in tow when the time comes. When you are needed. But for now, I need you here. I need you with me. Just come home. Your mother has to understand that. More than anyone. She should understand that.â
âI am home. Anywhere I am with you, I am home. Iâm sorry it took me so long to realize that.â
You brought your hands up to his face, his face resting in your palm. The two of you were so young. Only ten and seven. He placed his hands on your back and closed the distance between you both. You and Jace relaxed into the kiss. Millions of emotions poured into one kiss.
You pulled yourself away from his lips. âThere is something I want to show you.â You took his hand and walked him behind the beautiful weirwood tree. At the bottom of the stomp laid a carving of a baby girl.
Jacaerys gasped. âIs that-,â He started.
âOur beautiful little girl.â
He tried to hold his composure but it hurt so much. He blamed himself. A thousand maybes and what-ifs clouded his mind. He fell to his knees and traced the carving. âI am so sorry.â Jace started to sob.
You fell to the floor and embraced him. âJace this isnât your fault. There has been a lot going on. Maester Kennet said it couldâve happened no matter where I was. I was under a lot of stress, Jace. We are in the middle of a war.â You pulled away and wiped the tears from his cheeks.
He pulled you so that you were sitting in his lap. He held you tight, almost suffocating. âI love you. This will never happen again. We will never grieve a loss like this apart.â
âI love you most, Husband.â You wrapped your arms around his shoulders and buried your face into his neck.
âI wonât leave you again.â
âGood.â

Request: Could you do a fic with Jack Abbot and a female reader where she is a nurse and feels like sheâs not good enough or is panicking at work even though sheâs awesome at her job? Like sheâs always too hard on herself.
A/N: I too get panic attacks sometimes and boy would it be nice to have Abbot there to talk me down! Anyway, hope this is okay! Let me know what ya'll think!
Warnings: Talks of death, description of panic attack, medical inaccuracies probably.
You loved being a nurse. You were always taking care of everyone so it made sense to go into nursing. You started out in family medicine, taking care of wellness exams and ear infections. The monotony made it feel like you were wasting away You respected your fellow nurses that thrived there, but something was missing. When you decided to try emergency medicine, you were fascinated. Watching the nurses run around, knowing exactly what to do, you wanted to do that.
You were careful. Too careful. Your superiors warned you that this was a field where you canât be afraid of mistakes, you have to be able to trust your instincts. You were over prepared to the point that you wasted material and time.
You felt like you were drowning and even on good days, you felt like you were failing. No one could pull you out of the self-hatred spiral. You just hoped to keep the bad days at bay.
But everyone has bad days.
She was just 19 years old, coming in for a sore throat. You had assessed her and deemed her stable. You never entertained the thought that it was the beginning of toxic shock syndrome. Who would?
You were covered in her blood, she had coughed it up as you hooked her up to monitoring equipment. You called for anyone to help as she flatlined. You wouldnât let anyone else do CPR. You missed this, youâd fix this.
But you didnât.
âItâs an easy one to miss. You didnât do this.â Dr. Abbot put a hand on your shoulder as he left the room.
You never had a groove, but what little bit you were starting to get was forgotten. That day shook you to your core. You were even more cautious. You would do everything to make sure that never happened again.
âY/N, you canât keep taking this long with patients! You are wasting resources. Why the hell did you do an EKG on Mr. Summers without an order?â Dana sighed as she took her glasses off. She had been on your ass for weeks, trying to get you to figure your shit out.
âHe said that his arm was bothering him, I just wanted to be safe!â You argued.
âHis arm bothers him because he has arthritis.â She shook her head, giving you a sympathetic look.
âIâll do better, Iâm sorry.â You shuffled off. Your chest tightened, the world felt too close. Why couldnât you be like everyone else in the department? They all knew exactly what to do all the time? What was wrong with you?
You ran to the stairwell, thinking you had been able to slip away unnoticed.
You tried to breathe but your mind racing caused your chest to heave and wheeze with effort. You felt yourself spiraling and couldnât stop it. The tears streamed down your face, your hands shook. You were on the verge of passing out, your vison blurring and the edges going dark.
âEasy! Calm down, Y/N. Youâre okay.â You could hear the familiar voice, but couldnât focus on it.
âI canâtâŠ.I canâtâŠâ You wheezed. A rough hand grabbed yours and you looked up to see Dr. Abbot. He put your hand to his chest.
âFollow my breaths. In and out. Nice and easy.â He said, keeping hard eye contact. You did your best to follow the rhythm of his chest.
âGood. Youâre doing good.â He said as he pulled a stray stool over and sat you down.
âI-Iâm sorry, I donât know what happened.â You mumbled, your hands still shaking.
âYou donât have anything to apologize for. We all have our moments. I donât believe that you donât know what triggered this. You want to start being honest here?â He crossed his arms.
âIâŠI donât think Iâm good enough to be here.â Your voice small and frail. You heard Dr. Abbot snort a small laugh. You looked up at him confused.
âYou think you arenât good enough. Thatâs a crock of shit if I ever heard it.â He said, his face never changing. You never could figure out when he was joking with you.
âEveryone tells me how slow I am, I waste time and resources. Dana is always on my ass. I lost that patient and I should have known something was going on! I failed, I constantly fail!â The sobs wracked your body.
âHey! Easy! You arenât a failure.â He grabbed your hands. âY/N, that girl was stable when you admitted her. I saw the records. You did everything right. Itâs part of this job, no matter how right we are, people will die. You didnât fail her. You fought for her when she needed you to.â He said tipping your chin up to look at him.
âDana is on your ass because she knows youâre the best we got. She wants you to reach your full potential. Hell, last week you caught that silent heart attack, no one else would have done that EKG. They all breeze through patients and you take your time. Nothing wrong with either way of working. But you see things others donât.â He almost smiled.
âIâm so scared all the time.â
âEveryone is. You learn to deal with it. Donât let that be the thing that takes you out of here. Youâre good, you should be here.â He said, his thumb rubbing circles on your hand.
âI didnât think anyone saw me.â You said to yourself, you knew he heard.
âBelieve me, we see you. I see you.â He said, his eyes kinder than you had ever seen them. Your cheeks flushed.
âYou have patients, you shouldnât be here with me.â You cleared your throat.
âNo one is dying and if they are, theyâll find me. You needed me.â He nodded. âItâs okay to break sometimes.â He shrugs.
âI feel weak when I do.â You stand up and tighten your arms around yourself.
âIt feels like that, but itâs just part of the strengthening process. Each break down makes you a better nurse. Means you care. The only time you get to leave is when you stop caring.â Dr. Abbott put a hand on your arm. âIf you leave before that, Iâll personally kick your ass.â He smiled.
âThank you, Dr. Abbot.â You smiled, wiping your face.
âAnytime. Get back out there. Find me if you need me.â He nodded as he watched you head back into the pitt. He wandered back in and went to his computer.
âYou going soft on me, Jack?â Dana looked at him over her glasses.
âI donât know what the hell youâre talking about.â He said without looking up.
âYou got a soft spot for that girl.â She smirked.
âSheâs good. Sheâs got something we need and Iâm not letting her fail.â He shrugged.
âIâm not disagreeing. I feel the same. But mind you donât get too close. HR will have a field day.â She cocked an eyebrow.
âIâm a professional, Dana.â
âYeah, you also a man and that lends itself to mischief. Donât break my nurses hearts, I have to deal with it.â She laughed.
âI wouldnât. I wouldnât hurt her.â He cleared his throat, looking up to watch you rush around the ER.
âYouâre screwed.â Dana chuckled as she typed at her computer. âThat girl is going to flip your world upside down, Abbot.â
âI can only hope.â He whispered to himself.

only ever you. - pedro pascal.
requested! thank you so much for sending. (i'm sorry for taking a little longer than usual to post!)
----
You hadnât meant to see it.
His phone had lit up on the kitchen counter at 2:13 a.m., vibrating with a soft buzz that broke the silence of the dark apartment. The name wasnât familiar â Julia. And underneath, the preview: âYou didnât have to be so sweet last night.â
Your breath caught in your throat. You didnât even realize youâd picked the phone up until you were staring at the message, hands trembling. The notification disappeared before you could open it, and the screen went dark again, leaving your reflection staring back at you.
You didnât sleep after that.
Pedro stirred beside you hours later, pressing a lazy kiss to your bare shoulder like he always did. Like everything was normal. Like your heart wasnât collapsing in slow motion.
You went through the motions of the morning. Coffee. His hand brushing yours when he passed the sugar. A soft âlove youâ before he left for the gym. And you nodded. You smiled, maybe. You werenât sure. You just knew that as soon as the door closed, you sat down on the floor and tried to breathe.
You didnât say anything for two full days. You werenât ready.
You watched him like you were outside your own body â how he lit up when he talked about the project he was filming, how he still kissed the top of your head when he walked past the couch. You hated how badly you wanted to believe nothing had happened.
But the message replayed in your mind every time he smiled at you. So sweet last night. What the hell did that mean?
You finally broke after dinner on the third night. You were supposed to watch a movie together. Pedro had just pressed play, remote still in his hand, when you said, "Whoâs Julia?"
His head turned slowly. Confused. âWhat?â
You hated the way your voice cracked. âJulia. She texted you. Said you were sweet. Last night.â
His whole body stilled. Remote forgotten. His brows furrowed in a way that was almost⊠hurt?
âWaitâwhat? What are you talking about?â
You hated that he looked genuinely confused. It made your stomach churn worse.
âI saw the message. I wasnât trying to snoop, Pedro, I swear, it justâyour phone lit up. Iââ You ran a hand through your hair. âI just need to know. Please.â
Silence. Long and heavy.
He stood slowly, crossing to you. His voice was calm. Too calm. âMi amor, you think Iâ?â He stopped himself, jaw clenching. âI would never. You know I would never.â
âThen explain it.â
âSheâs part of the cast. We had a wrap dinner last week, and she had a panic attack when the paparazzi swarmed her outside the restaurant. Everyone else was too busy acting like it was normal. I offered to call her a car, waited with her until it came. Thatâs it.â
Your throat tightened. âThatâs all it was?â
His eyes were glassy now. âYou think Iâd touch another woman when I have you?â He lean closer. âWhen I wake up every day thinking how lucky I am that you even look at me?â
You bit your lip, trying to keep it together. âIt just felt real. The message. The way she said itâlike there was more.â
He reached out, hesitant, then cupped your cheek gently. âIâm an actor. I know how things can look. But Iâm also a man in love, and I donât half-ass that. I donât play games with your heart.â
You exhaled shakily. âWhy didnât you tell me?â
âI didnât think it mattered. Not because I wanted to hide anything, but because I didnât see it as anything worth remembering. She was scared, I was nice. Thatâs it. Youâre the only one I come home to. The only one I want.â
Your tears fell silently. He wiped them away with his thumbs, kissing your forehead, then your temple.
âIâm so sorry you felt like you had to carry that alone,â he whispered. âNext time, please just ask me. I donât ever want to see you hurting because of something I couldâve cleared up.â
You leaned into his touch. Let yourself believe him â not because you were desperate, but because he meant it. You knew his heart. And it was yours.
âOkay,â you whispered. âI believe you.â
He kissed you then, slow and full of emotion, like he was pouring everything he couldnât say into your lips. You melted into him, arms wrapping tight around his neck, grounding yourself in the safety of his presence.
Maybe love wasnât always easy. But with Pedro, even the pain had purpose â and the ending was always soft.
