They were never friends, it was a business arrangement where the only actually willing participant was her. If she was that good of a friend for him (gag lol) she’d at least pretend to support him and his career, meanwhile she can’t do that even as a fake girlfriend. She is living a very comfortable life off of Louis' money with clearly no desire to do anything for herself, considering how quickly she dropped her blog with Max to go back to bearding. She may be relatively harmless now but that certainly wasn't the case in the past so sorry but I will never find it in me to be thankful to her for anything or feel bad for her.

You probably won’t be posting this which is fine.🤍 I just wanna say, I’m convinced our fandom would do so much better getting rid of all the hate towards beards in general bc there’s no reason for that hate, at all. Beards aren’t the threat in all this, so there’s no reason to treat them like they are a threat. You don’t have to ‚like‘ them but hating them is just wasted energy.

And we don’t really know how close they really are and whether or not they ever were friends bc we don’t see that part of his life. I have never seen any animosity between Louis and Eleanor and I have never gotten any vibes from Louis not being at least friendly with her. If you have, pls show me, I would be very interested. She has supported him over the years. Whenever she did it publicly she got hate from people for‚ only wanting attention and fame and money‘ so when she stopped doing it for everyone to see she was called a bad ‚gf‘ who isn’t supportive. I do find it bizarre to claim someone isn’t supportive based on their social media actions. She went to his concerts knowing that the majority of people there didn’t want her to be there. I’m sure she is/was very important to him and a constant in his life. It speaks for her that she is/was by his side after all this time and after all the shit they had go through, both together and individually. That alone proofs she is in fact very supportive of him if you ask me. I think he really relies on her in many aspects and sometimes I feel like she is the one who knows *everything*.

That said, I feel like many fans in our fandom tend to project their discomfort and negative emotions (which are reasonable to have, totally!) towards closeting and homophobia onto the beards/ pr stunts implying that they are the reason for the closet of L/H, when they are in fact stepping in as some sort of solution. If both people involved agree with that kind of arrangement then why hating on only one part? Eleanor is not responsible for the situation Louis is in. Our society and the music industry are. If louis decides to keep her around the way she is these days that’s something we should accept. He is old enough to know what’s best for him. Maybe that is the best possibility available for him at the moment out of all scenarios he could be living in as a closeted famous world star. Being with Eleanor probably gives him more freedom to express himself the way he wants to as an artist. I mean, listen to the entity of walls and how specific in his lyrics he was able to be…and why? Bc he could simply just link them all to his gf knowing his fans would understand the truth behind those songs. This time around he isn’t as specific anymore so no need to link the lyrics to anybody, no need to explain them and therefore not one Eleanor mention throughout the whole promo ride, isn’t that very very telling? Eleanor just steps in for things he can’t be open about. She is not the one to blame for why this is even needed in the first place. I also would like to add it’s not totally valid to blame Eleanor profiting from Louis closet. she doesn’t take nearly as much advantage from it as she probably could. I think it’s weird to expect two people who have an arrangement with eachother to only have one person in it who takes advantage from it while the other one is supposed to take all the shit. She did get a lot of bs bc of this whole thing. Louis is a victim in his situation, yes. But she isn’t the reason for that. She sacrificed a lot of her own life for this, too. We don’t know what her life looks like. We don’t know if she has a job outside of social media. But she did go to Uni so it’s not unlikely. We don’t know if she’s dating someone, privately. We don’t know anything about her. If she agrees to do this for Louis then it’s only fair for her to also get some benefits from it, don’t you think?

Nursery/Daycare idea:

A growth-chart style graphic for Littles next to the door of the nursery that functions similar to a clip-chart so that Caregivers don't need to use cues from their Little to figure out how old they feel and so that Littles don't need to pick a hard number, but instead it's more organized by "height" (more like baby, toddler, preschooler, elementary school, middle school, middle and adult).

And then if you have two Littles you can have multiple clips and kiddos and move them around to keep track. This could also be helpful if you're a flip or are working with another flip!

as much as I love the common "Tim worships/stalks Jason" trope in TimJay fanfiction because it's Good and making Tim a weird little freak is Fun, I think the underutilized dynamic is where Jason is the one weirdly obsessed with Tim and makes it Tim's problem.

Like, the moment Jason is confronted with the information that a third Robin exists, the first thing he does is cover his wall with pictures of Tim so he can just obsess and torture himself over it. That is the behavior of a man who is Unwell over Tim's existence and I love it.

And as much as a shitshow as The Titans Tower Incident™ is characterization-wise (though I think it has far more merit in depicting Jason's character than people give it credit for but I digress-) there's something very fun about the fact that even after kicking his ass, Jason respects Tim and is impressed by him.

batman: battle for the cowl #2

While Battle for the Cowl is an exceptionally bad comic, especially for its characterization of Jason and the "be my Robin" bit is taken deeply out of context, I do think it's interesting how obsessed Jason is with believing that Tim is extremely competent, only held back by being "brainwashed by Bruce". (hence him leaving Tim for dead later on in the comic.) Jason seeing a darker side of Tim and wanting to bring that out of Tim, wanting to see what Tim could be if he let go of his loyalty to Bruce is so fun to me, tbh.

And in Robin #177, Jason seems genuinely upset Tim doesn't want to work with him. Jason sees such a raw potential in Tim and is obsessed with it, constantly wanting Tim to work for him and see Tim be the type of person Jason is. And despite Tim rejecting him, Jason doesn't shoot to kill Tim. I just cannot get over the fanfic potential of Jason obsessing over Tim, tracking him and seeing what he's capable of and what he could be capable of. Wanting to make Tim see things the way he does. To Tim it's corruption, to Jason it's freedom. Tim trying to 'save' Jason is fun and all, but Jason trying to corrupt Tim? That's even more fun to me. Watching that power struggle between them, Tim unable to get Jason off his heels as Jason gets more and more possessive and bold with each attempt.

And when Jason sees Tim successfully get Gotham back under control after a gang war, he's impressed. He praises Tim, even. And then Tim just. Breaks him out of prison.

robin (1993) #182

The way they're constantly trying to see something in the other that isn't there, hoping the other will come around? That is the most fucked up hate/love dynamic ever. Jason keeps coming back to Tim, keeps trying to find ways to get Tim onto his side. They're always chasing each other. And I think Jason would be the one to confess love first, the one to do anything to make Tim his. And when you consider after all of this, Tim has his Red Robin arc and is at his lowest, getting the closest he ever gets to considering murder? I think it'd be so fun to see Jason take advantage of that and worm his way back into Tim's life and finally push Tim over the edge.

believe me, I get it, nothing crushes the artistic soul quite like labouring for hours on a piece only for it to get like 10 notes, so you need to find your own source of joy in the act of creation and a lot of the time that means making art and not showing it to anybody

I love these polls. But this feels like a weird and uncomfortable time to continue them. While we are in the process of deciding whether or not to give fascism unlimited power in the greatest military power currently on the planet, these posts feel uncomfortably out of touch with the existential threat facing all of humanity. I cannot enjoy voting in silly polls when I know that all of humankind faces the threat of extermination.

When we can return to a less horrifying reality, I would enjoy revisiting these polls. At the moment, to continue them feels like a cruel celebration of privilege from those who are insulated from the most extreme consequences of current proposed policies. It is hard to think of what level of inhumanity is necessary to continue laughing in the face of so much world-wide horror.

Of course you don't have to stay, and I won't begrudge you at all for going. But there's one point of yours here I feel is worth discussing, and it's your last one: laughing in the face of world-wide horror.

There is a difference between laughing at horrifying things and taking a break to laugh. In a world that is horrifying—and, to be honest, has been horrifying since this blog began, and long before then, and will be after it's done—you need to laugh to keep your endurance. I mean that every step of the way. You will not be able to keep fighting for the people who need your help, including yourself, if you don't give yourself a break and let yourself have joy and silliness in little dollops on the regular.

In my real life, when I'm not posting hot silly people on the hot silly people blog, I try to find ways to help change the world for the better. I've been trying for a while. And one of the key things I've learned in that while is that having a little fun and silliness does not dilute the work of making the world better—it gives you the fuel to keep doing it. Your human brain and body need a muchness. They need joy and sorrow and work and rest and laughter to keep going—and before you say, that's a privilege! yes, in today's broken world it often is. It should not be one. It is a right. You have the right to find spots of joy, silliness, time off from the world.

Stuff sucks right now, but taking ten minutes off to let yourself rest is not going to contribute to the end of the world. We need to rest and laugh if we want to keep going. I've always said this is a silly blog, and I maintain that yes! it is silly, it is pointless, this is nothing big at all. Nothing here has any consequence. And that can be a small good thing at the end of the day. It doesn't mean the big stuff doesn't matter if we have the small stuff too. We can have both. We need both.

I hope you find peace, wherever you are.
