Sure, he had a few girlfriends in middle school, but he never felt anything special for them.

As you strolled down the hallway, your smile lit up the entire space. Bakugo watched, captivated, as you giggled with your violet-haired classmate, practically skipping along down the hall. You seemed to be in such a good mood for someone who hadn’t made it into the hero course. Your positivity was infectious, making him actually want to be around you

The redhead grinned, his sharp teeth flashing. "Has someone got a crush?" he teased, nudging Bakugo playfully on the shoulder.

"Shut it, shitty hair, I do not have a crush," Bakugo growled back, his entire face turning a shade of pink from embarrassment. Kirishima chuckled at his friend's flustered reaction, but Bakugo's glare was deadly serious.

Kirishima placed a reassuring hand on Bakugo's shoulder. "Hey man, it's okay! She's cute."

"Back off," Bakugo interrupted, his voice low and dangerous, as if claiming dibs on you.

Kirishima raised his hands in mock surrender, stepping back. "Backing off. I'm backing off," he said, showing respect to the blonde. He couldn't help but grin at Bakugo's protectiveness. It was rare to see this side of him, and Kirishima couldn't resist giving him a hard time about it.

As Bakugo tried to shake off the embarrassment, his eyes found you again. Despite his rough exterior and harsh words, there was no denying the softness in his gaze. Kirishima had never seen Bakugo like this before. It kind of scared him, but it also made him realize that Bakugo wasn’t some heartless, angry boy. He was just a teenage boy with a crush on a girl. on the day Bakugo finally grew the courage to talk to you, which was the first day he ever had to muster the courage to do literally anything, was a couple of days after the sports festival. You had performed well enough in the festival that he actually had something to talk about.

As you were eating your lunch in the cafeteria of UA High School, you felt a strong hand tap your shoulder. “Hey… you… you fought Denki Kaminari,” Bakugo said, his cheeks pinker than usual.

“Oh! I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to send his quirk into overdrive!” you gasped, looking genuinely concerned.

“No! No, it’s fine… it was funny… he’s dumb,” Bakugo tried to calm you down, stumbling over his words in a way that was very uncharacteristic for him.

You laughed softly, the sound easing some of Bakugo’s tension. “Well, I’m glad it was entertaining,” you said, smiling up at him.

Bakugo’s heart skipped a beat at your smile. He had never been this nervous about talking to anyone before, and it was both exhilarating and terrifying. “You did good out there,” he mumbled, trying to sound casual but failing to hide the admiration in his voice.

“Thanks, Bakugo. That means a lot coming from you,” you replied, your eyes twinkling with genuine appreciation.

Kirishima, watching from a distance, couldn’t help but smile. Seeing Bakugo like this made him realize that even the toughest people have soft spots. And for Bakugo, that soft spot was you.

And that’s how your friendship blossomed. Bakugo would practically run out of his classroom every day, with Kirishima trailing behind him, usually shouting, "Wait up, man! You'll see her soon!" But Bakugo wouldn't listen. He just wanted to see your sweet face.

You developed your own crush on Bakugo. For someone so accomplished, who believed he was better than everyone else, he was surprisingly a good friend. He always grabbed your bags for you, helped you with your homework—hell, he even did your homework for you sometimes! He made sure you had all your stationery before class. It made you want to kiss him all over his pretty face.

In your eyes, Bakugo was a sweet boy, while in his classmates' eyes, he was rude and loud. You rarely saw him in that state. Sure, he called you "dumbass" from time to time and scolded you for doing something silly, but he never outright yelled at you. He could never bring himself to yell at someone so pretty.

still thinking about bevin and how insanely good it is and how much POTENTIAL it has and how practically nobody ships it. it literally has something in EVERY SERIES.

in original series, ben and kevin almost immediately befriended each other. this is notable because ben, as we know, canonically doesnt seem to have *any* friends before the road trip, and we can assume that kevin doesnt have any either. even after they stop being friends, ben CONSTANTLY and CONSISTENTLY tries to help kevin and CONTINUES giving him chances to get help and get better, even at his own detriment and sometimes the detriment of his family. even outside of these chances, we can see how ben's inability to protect and save kevin affects him through the rest of the series and the way he treats people.

in alien force, especially in seasons one and two, ben ALMOST IMMEDIATELY trusts and befriends kevin, despite the fact that he, perhaps more than literally anybody else that we know of, has the most reason not to do so. he is even constantly reiterating the fact that hes friends with kevin and that kevin is important to him. hell, in the VERY FIRST EPISODE, kevin punches a hole in ben (as swampfire)s stomach, and ben STILL befriends him. and kevin BEFRIENDS HIM BACK!!!!!!! kevin literally joins the tennyson team practically MINUTES after reuniting with them. HE LITERALLY LET VULKANNUS TURN HIM INTO A LIVING TADENITE STATUE JUST SO THAT HE COULD GET THE HOLO FOR BEN!!!!!!!!!

ultimate alien is a mixed bag, i wont even try to argue that. but what we do know is that prior to the ultimate kevin arc, it was KEVINS turn to reiterate how much ben means to him. they have MULTIPLE CONVERSATIONS about it!!! and kevin RISKED HIS LIFE (again!!!) during the ultimate sacrifice just to get ben help when he was trapped in the omnitrix with the ultimates!!! and even AFTER THE ULTIMATE ARC, kevin and ben wordlessly walked off into the sunset TOGETHER. not kevin and gwen. not even kevin, gwen, and ben. it was just the two of them.

in omniverse, there was LITERALLY THE ROOTERS ARC. 12 year old kevin who carried around a picture of ben all the time. from hedorium to eternity, where even when ben and kevin were butting heads the entire time, ben was the first one to jump into action to try and save kevin. ben trusting kevin during the entirety of the rooters arc, from the second he went to warn kevin about the rooters, to he and kevin fighting in the hallway, ben never once gave up on kevin.

even in reboot, when ben and kevin are, again some of each others only friends. its in the way that kevin genuinely seems to think theyre best friends even from the moment we meet them, despite knowing that ben doesnt feel the same way. its in the way ben and kevin eventually end up fighting seemingly out of habit before they just go off to play and have fun and just be kids together. its in the way that kevin and ben always had each others backs when they needed it. its in the way that kevins obsession with ben reads more like a crush he doesnt know how to handle than in a frenemy relationship. its in the way that ben looks out for kevin even when hes told he shouldnt.

Oh, I absolutely get where you're coming from. In general, when it comes to "toxic ships", it'll always be so much fascinating to me to just have them fucking hate each other. No romance or attraction and/or "hate-fucking".

I can understand the appeal of toxic yuri in a way (I've always preferred yuri in general over yaoi lol) but like, I think it's juicier even to have that visceral fucking hatred. Especially from Scylla's end. And even then, Circe talks mad shit about Scylla in the Odyssey.

(I think it's interesting how Circe yells at Odysseus about how he won't yield to immortal gods but that's a bit outta context AND an entirely differently thing.)

It's kind of a curious thing in which Circe seems to imply that Scylla was BORN as a monster based on how she mentions Scylla's "mom". I don't know if this is just "Homeric version" of the myth or what but it's something neat to think about.

And honestly? My Circe, being the wacky potion making scientist gal I have her as, would probably be even more of a bitch in how "ooooo experiment time." only to realize "Oh wait, I made her too scary and TOO powerful. hm. nevermind. Not going near her."

With Circe and shipping, idk, I've always felt like she'd be like "messy". It's not that she's not capable of love, I think she's just like, so much of a "I do whatever the fuck I want" that she probably wouldn't really respect her partner's boundaries. She's like Maureen from "Rent" and/or PotC's Calypso where the only reason why she didn't see Davy Jones after he waited was "It's in my Nature".

In which she's just like "Look you either want me as I am, meaning I do whatever the fuck I want, OR you leave."

Like she loves, but she's not like, a ride or die partner. (I mean Odysseus was an experiment to her, as that's how she views mortals in my stuff. She thinks Mortals are kind of gross. She only has sex with him once because of this.) She's FwB with Hermes in my stuff as well, as yeah, Gods are less "gross".

Honestly, I think if people wanna ship Scylla with someone, I think Caribbidis would be fun?? Monster Wives??? (HOT) Both were cursed, they're close to each other, etc. Like, idk how much sentience Caribidis has, being a giant fucking mouth, but idk. maybe they could chat and bond?? even just as friends.

A/N: Knives is SUCH an interesting character and im literally so feral for him. This is very much stream-of-conscious writing and not proofread. It also turned out so much longer than I expected! I legit got so carried away so I hope you enjoy it!!

Also I feel like my thoughts/headcanons for Knives will always be constantly evolving because he's just such a complex character??? And I love it???

So we know Knives does know what love feels like…sorta. He loves Vash, and wants to see a future where they can both live their lives without the fear of being used for what they are. However, that means killing every human left on the planet. So it’s a twisted kind of love…but he still cares in his own way.

I don’t think Knives would notice you right away. It won’t be some love-at-first-sight, omg this human was so nice to me thing. It will take A LOT of time. He has completely blocked himself off from anyone because of fear, and fear is an intense driving force.

Perhaps you’re involved in his grand scheme somehow; A scientist in a lab who has taken a special interest in the Plants. At first, you’re focused on finding a more sustainable way for them to be used…but then after witnessing one open itself up, showing a high level of intelligence, you change your studies to find a way for them to live beyond the confines of the glass tanks.

You’re aware of Knives. Aware that he’s what they call an Independent. And you take notes on him, studying any file that isn’t restricted from the ships that once roamed the universe.

Knives becomes aware of you rather quickly. It's hard to ignore the way your eyes follow his every move, jotting down your observations quickly into a notebook that never seems to leave your hands. At first he finds it irritating, having this human stalk him like a shadow. However, it was only when you caught him on a particularly bad day that he finally spoke to you.

"Get OUT." His voice was ice, sending a sharp tendral into your notebook, tearing it from your hands. You let out a pained yelp, though none of the blades touched had you, and ran out of the room.

After he's calmed down, curiosity gets the better of him, and Knives spends the rest of the evening reading through your notes.

The next day it's him that seeks you out. Knives finds you in a lab, placing your in-tact notebook on the table in front of you before stating that some of your observations were incorrect, which causes you to flush with embarrassment. He leaves immediately after, and upon inspecting your notebook, you find that he had crossed out some of your own notes, replacing it with the "correct" information.

Knives begins to tolerate your company. You're not as insufferable as the other humans, and he finds himself quite intrigued by how brave you've gotten around him ever since that day. But he continues to keep himself at a distance….for now.

So anyways as your "relationship" with Knives progresses:

Knives shows his love through acts of service and quality time. He allows you into his space; allows himself to lower his guard and try to understand these strange feelings he gets when around you. Although, again, this takes time.

He'll start to show interest in whatever experiments you're running, quietly observing from a respectable distance. It might even start to feel like you’re the one being studied from how intense his silent stare is (he is 100% memorizing everything about you).

The more time spent with you, the more possessive he becomes of this time...and just you in general.

Knives knows that you have to talk to others in order to do your job, but that doesn't mean he won't glare at them until they walk away. He prides himself on how his presence alone can clear a room so it can just be the two of you.

If you forget to eat, time getting away from you, Knives might sigh and fetch you something. Setting it down directly in front of you and making comments under his breath about how "humans are pathetic" and how you "can't even take care of yourself". You're like a pet, he tells himself...rationalizing why he would go out of his way to make sure you stay healthy.

Physical touch comes much later

Sometimes you'll feel him lean in from behind, gazing over your shoulder to gain a better view of what you're working on. Heat radiates off of his body, but he never brings himself to touch you. Knives finds it amusing at how flustered you get when he does this and likes to test your boundaries as well as his own. He’ll catch himself too often wondering how soft your skin would feel under his fingertips. It’s a disgusting thought, really. (he is so touch starved but will NOT allow himself to indulge in this innocent fantasy because he’s stubborn and has the biggest god complex)

But it eventually happens one evening when you hand him your notebook. All of his senses are ignited, the place where your fingers brushed against his hand burns throughout the night. Knives can't bring himself to admit he likes this feeling, at least not out loud.

Oh but does he crave it.

It's a thrill, an adrenaline rush, and strangely even more fulfilling than the feeling he gets when he takes a human life.

Starts as "accidental". Fingers colliding when reaching for the same thing, the back of his hand brushing against yours as you both walk, standing too close to you so that when you take a step back, you bump into his chest.

Soon he's grabbing your wrist to stop you from doing something stupid, placing a hand on the small of your back to guide you out of a room, even taking your hand in his, frowning at the fresh injury on your skin, but also burning up inside at the fact that his own hand swallows yours completely. That you're just so fragile. So human.

Knives is absolutely obsessed.

I'd probably have more recs (seeing as I have over 350+ downloaded detroit fics) and would know more specifically which ones were the more canon-compliant ones but the hyperfixation is sporadic and comes back every few years and it just came back very recently again, so I don't remember completely what all fics were about and how much I liked them (why did I not make summaries and list thoughts why past me why were you DUMB) but the ones I listed are hopefully very readable 👍

I'm not too big a Sonknux shipper (I don't really ship anyone with Sonic full stop) but for the sheer amount of Sonadow and rabid Sonadow shippers that popped up, I'm half tempted to create a 2:30 hour long Sonknux cinematic animation out of spite. It would be a quirky romcom with musical scenes which starts with Knuckles first meeting Sonic and ending with them kissing in front of the Master Emerald at their wedding.

i dont really have a problem with sonadow necessarily or people making jokes about them being gay in the new episode, i also went "🏳️‍����?" a few times while watching it. im mostly just annoyed that its everywhere at all times and so many people seem to have sonadow as their number one priority always and dont care about anything else.. like if you search sonic prime on here its just sonadow sonadow sonadow with not nearly as many posts about what actually happens in the episode or theorizing about what might happen next or even discussing sonic and shadows interactions beyond just going "omg sonadow!"... like is that really all you guys took from it? you dont care about anything else? just shipping? ok...

Second, to answer all this (I’m just gonna answer them here as to not clog my blog)

- I’d say they spent an equal amount of time on the Lady Lucrezia (Ty for reminding me of the name) and that log cabin/mansion lake house thing Divan also owns. Where they’re staying really just depends on where Divans staying. If he decides to not bring them on a business trip/on the Lucrezia for whatever reason, they taken care of by Argent and the rest of his staff back at the lake house.

- Yes, unfortunately, due to the environment they grew up in, Rea and Jules are really desensitized to unwinding by the time they’re adults. I also think Roberta and Divan put a ton of pro-unwinding propaganda in their heads during childhood to drive home the point further.

- For now, I’m saying the twins became parts pirates because they feel sorta indebted to their caregivers and feel the need to carry on their business and beliefs even though unwinding has definitely fizzled out a lot by the time they start working.

OH GODDDDDDD I LOVE THEM SO MUCH ACTUALLY???????? morally grey characters who are the way they are because their parents are morally grey and not just because they because. villains. for lack of a better word. always a story about the antagonist and never a story about the legacy that the antagonist leaves that affects the people around them. reagen and jules are that legacy. im so obsessed with them this entire concept is just so good. something something bust your kneecaps by pomplamoose. it just fits them so well!

love the lake house... me when i grow up living in a lake house and the world's largest airplane ever built with my sibling like my parents are divorced and i spend every two weeks at each place but they actually just hate each other and didn't want to deal with raising me so they make the most influential guy in the parts market raise me instead. actually do roberta and nelson hate each other? what is their deal with each other? are either of them in the picture at all or did they literally just ship reagan and jules off to divan to be raised...

and again with the legacy of the antagonist thing. im so fascinated with what their moral outlooks must be like because holy shit imagine growing up around both the head of proactive citizenry and the scariest guy in the parts market and being fed all of that. what do they think when they meet someone who isn't pro-unwinding??? i mean that must just be so foreign to them. and of course they'd become parts pirates because it's all they know, gotta carry on the family legacy, it's a dying art and we are the only people who can preserve it etc (do they have complexes about that...). do reagen and jules feel differently about unwinding or do they both mostly feel the same?

i am so so so fascinated by these two oh my god. putting them in a jar and observing them under a microscope. i need to understand what goes on in those heads of yours.

I don't post much about mouthwashing because I think all the analysis and Hyperfixation has left my body. (Bro I would wake up and look in the tag. Now im haunting down peoples OC and looking at the cool art.) But I saw something that made me interested again-

It's the topic of mercy killing and why in two cases did it take in one and why other did not. I think everyone in the crew knew they should have mercy killed curly the minute they dug him out of the foam. I think the only person, that would not have thought of it was Daisuke. Because, he's the pinnacle of Youth and hope and innocence, so I think he would be partial to, "if we are saved they can save him." We know why he's kept alive it's because of Jimmy.

Besides all the obvious analysis I've already made about how curly disabled state represents a minutiae of different things. It's Jimmy's need for someone to play the villian. Helpless and can't fight for themsleves but is able to carry the weight of all of Jimmy sins.

I actually don't know, now that I'm thinking about it. If the crew ever found out it was Jimmy who caused the crash. We the audience know, we find out about Jimmy's other crimes towards Anya his manipulation and all that. But we never see a moment where the crew identifies, that Jimmy was the one who caused the crash. Curly is so usefully kept alive as a scapegoat, totured for his supposed crimes.

This post was about mercy killing now its about does the crew actually know the truth? Is the reason hes kept alive more to do with the belife that Curly crashed the ship and less to do with them trying to help. The only 2 people who interact with Curly is Jimmy by force and Anya by willing.

Shit we can call it like it is, Curly is the scapegoat. He is used as a beat shield, because even in the state he can't do anything. Jimmy focus is on him always, so Jimmy beating him or forcing drug into him. Takes the heat from Anya, who I believe Jimmy would have hit if he didn't have a literal punching bag.

Without Curly being alive I think shit would have gone far worse way faster if Curly was not alive. Curly is the human meat shield because thats the onky thing he can do now.

very very unique to my oc but im too embarassed to just outright make ship stuff so you guys are never going to get lore other than "theyre stuck in a death/time loop but literally anything can happen and theyre stuck and theyre the only one who remembers. dont piss off horrors beyond your comprehension" so uhuh yeah might do another post with this but for slenderman x timeloop!reader because i think that would be a cool thing to explore given hes well aware of weird stuff in the world + itll give him something to work with but shrugs

admittedly this idea came to me from the "do you think we're (blank) in every universe?" trend. like imagine jack asks that during a moment of light heartedness but you know the truth

bonus if this is the first "time" you two got together and he doesnt know

if knows about your time loop thing and believes you i dont think he would ask much about it, i dont think he would be curious about whether or not you guys have been together before

actually this might cause some unsavory issues because in a way, you get to have a free do over

what if you get tired, and want to hop onto someone else ?

obviously in order for there to be a reset you need to die, but that kind of slips his mind

actually.. lets touch up on that idea, again assuming he believes you on the time loop thing and you can somehow prove it.. and he understands the rules around it he might try to keep you by his side. call it paranoia, but he doesnt want you to die

with other readers hes more relaxed but theres something about the combined idea of this just being over in a snap mixed in with you possibly not coming back in the loop

it doesnt matter to him if he would remember or not, hes thinking about now in the current round of the cycle

i think, you two might try to work together to find a way to break the cycle.. usually he wants to stay away from that sort of thing, considering his own personal curse-thing going on with him

but seeing your suffering kind of pushes him to act

ooooooooh my god imagine you die and the time resets and you bump into again and he catches that look of longing you give him before breaking away

doesnt usually chase unless you got too close to the cabin or already wounded... the look in your eyes convinced him even more to not attack

hes still going to end up alone but unaware that there was something there, while youre made to carry these memories and so many more with each reset
