I have resisted watching Bridgerton for 2 years. The many clips I had seen of Kanthony and George and Charlotte almost convinced me many times but I never had the final push.

I watched season 2 for the first time one week ago with friends and the kanthony brainrot is so bad I have been reading only ff of them and I am now rewatching season 2.

I have not been THIS obsessed with a het couple for many years. I have very few beloved het couple bc as a lesbian I find it hard to attach myself to male characters compared to female ones. But these two? They are constantly on my mind after I gave in and gave the show a chance.

There is something so insanely attractive in the yearning, angst and repressed desire. In the banter and challenging each other at every turn. The connection that forms between two similarly minded people who stubbornly refuse to give in and lose to one another but also cannot stop gravitating towards each other.

chem PhD here! I used to want to be a medical doctor. I realised that I find chemical research more interesting and less messy than biology (in the sense that sometimes outcomes in biology are due to unclear reasons, because living things are weird) and that practicing medicine is ultimately a public-facing job. As a researcher I get to deal with other experts, not with the general public, and I am always researching new things, rather than practicing the same medical procedures. Plus, a chem PhD has opened career doors for me around the world, whereas medical qualifications tend to be specific to the country, and people often have to retrain or requalify if they relocate. Just something to think about!

PS PhDs outside America are much shorter. Mine was four years, which is pretty standard, and it was paid. (Do not take a STEM PhD position that doesn't pay a stipend!)

found myself in da exact change room i had a breakdown in almost exactly 4 years ago bc recovery at the time had made me so uncomfy (i was still significantly smaller back then :///) anyways, pretended not to care (today) but my throat got all swollen and i forgot how to breathe, i think i had an allergic reaction to my past lol. anyways bought these two overpriced items and a few others hehe

Had an interview on Monday after turning down a different position Last monday, and i thought the interview went really well.

The way Tutor’s gaze locks onto Fighter because he’s not letting him back down this time.

The way Fighter so desperately wants to give into his feelings, afraid to see what will happen if he does.

The intensity of their emotions and also the tenderness of how they care for each other.
