my interpretation of daemon in a jacemond scenario is that he's the kind of hater that's like "do as i say not as i do" and "yeah i fucked my niece but you don't get to fuck your nephew HELLO THAT IS MY SON" i truly think he'd be more accepting if aemond wasn't a hightower but karma is funny and he finally understands viserys' suffering now

Chapter 1: Rhaenyra

The first recorded Valaena Velaryon had been half Targaryen through her mother as well and she had birthed the conquerors who united the realm with fire and blood and forged the seat Rhaenyra’s daughter will one day sit. 

Chapter 2: Valaena

However, in their land, when you bleed you are somewhat of a woman. Part child, part woman. A maid, a bastard one no less. Bastards grow up quicker than normal children, she reminds herself. With this in mind, she tries to make sense of the events that followed her early flowering and tries to find a justifiable reason for why he did what he did. 

Chapter 3: Aemond

It had started off so silly, this thing between them. They were young then, and so their blood had run lustfully hot with the passions of youth.

Her skin is like kindling to the flame in his loins, his mouth consuming flesh after tantalizing flesh to feed the fire. 

Chapter 4: Valaena

Aemond, she finds, isn't someone you like right away. He has to grow on you, as moss on the stone, as ivy on walls, crawling its way up and weaving itself into the cracks. But you learn to like the smell of it, moss and ivy, learn to appreciate the simplistic beauty they offer even as they consume what they touch, as wild as wildfire. Such a flame is he to Valaena.

Jokes aside, here my list:

The Sons of the Dragon Series by Beserk (T to E, 36k+, ongoing series) - so so beautifully written. I adore their world building and the way they accentuated Jace's wit and Aemond's cunning. Sort of a slow burn but it is sooooo good.

When they fight one another, Aemond can see the men they will become, the water dancer and the knight. When they lay together in bed at night, they talk of it, of all the tourney they will win and the songs that will be sung of them, and they both fall asleep smiling.

fire made flesh by Anonymous (not rated, 18k, completed) - not your typical A/B/O fic. An extremely fantastic read. From the build-up of Jace's emotions with a sprinkle of Aemond's hidden affections.

Diplomacy, Jace, and there’s his mantra once more. He should have it embroidered on the inner portion of his tunic, close to his chest, maybe then he’ll take it to heart as opposed to resorting to constant reminders.

The (Future) King and The Hand by MadameCristal (G to E, 11k+, ongoing series) - pretty much the pinnacle of what a "canon divergence" fic can do. It feels so faithful to the original series, keeping all the political intrigue and drama. The fluff between Jace and Aemond is just so sweet and so right.

“So don’t then. Choose me,” Jace demanded breathlessly.

something hot and unholy by wesnenski (E, 4k, complete) - rough and hot smut. Enough said haha.

This is not over, says Aemond’s smile. Not even close.

The Kids Aren’t Alright by memequeen1127 (E, 5k, complete) - smut from Aemond’s POV and it is so good. The repressed feelings! The build up of emotions! The YEARNING!

Tears are running down his face, but it’s only when Jace starts kissing back that Aemond begins to sob. 

I knew it was wrong (but I palmed it) by Gezmall (M, 8k+, ongoing) - this fic starts with Aegon x Jace but it is jacemond at its core. Just love how Jace and Aemond stoke each other’s fire.

I wanted a first romantic kiss under the stars as happens in that beautiful story...I don't know if I achieved it 😭.

Not mentioned in the story if Aemond lost an eye, although I like to think that his friendship with Jace saved his eye, but he still has a scar for some other reason 🤭.

I've never drawn children 😱 (I'm going to practice more), but I found a cute reference of a romantic kiss on Pinterest and it helped me a lot ☺️.
