"I used to feel that way too," Cora said simply. "After my mother died and my father started drinking himself into stupors daily, I found out what it means to have to take care of yourself. I thought that's how my whole life would be, looking out for myself without anyone else giving a damn about me or my wellbeing." A tiny smile played on her lips. "But then I met your father and realized it didn't have to be that way. Not for me. And it doesn't have to be for you either, Baelfire."

His expression twisted into a grimace, instinctively trying to pull his wrist away. It played into the other's experience in the worst way, his blade finally sliding free between his fingers as the other twisted. It landed with a crunch that seemed to resonate with the mess of glass and ceramic on the ground. "What, you got tired of everyone bein' named John and Jane Doe?" Alex asked, annoyance flaring in his chest at the names. He was being toyed with by a psychopath and he did not appreciate it. Put up or shut up, right?

Every crack in the tile across his back, raging headaches- and yet he couldn't refute the main point. This was a symptom of whatever had happened to him with the voices. He wanted so badly for it all to be a fluke, but it was too specific, too extreme just to pass by. "What? I don't . . ." He trailed off, unsure of where all that was coming from. "That's vulgar."

His life was never worth much. It was like the universe knew he needed another chance, because this life was filled with so much shame and so many mistakes. All he ever wanted was to be in CONTROL. Alex sucked in a shuddering breath, his mind going completely blank for a moment as his wrist was twisted further. There was only pain. Sweet, delicious pain. It wasn't what he wanted, it didn't have the same kick slicing his skin with a new pack of razor blades did and his mind immediately wandered as he came down from the high.

Dogs. He remembered dog videos. There were no bad dogs, just bad . . . Alex could already feel the nausea building as he threw in all his weight into stabbing the other in the knee, yanking his blade- a serrated folding knife he kept in his hoodie pocket. The situation was less than ideal. He should have taken his first chance, stabbed the man for more than he was worth, but he had to make do in the moment. He heard the bones in his other arm break, sacrificed to stab the man as many times as he could.

There was no good side, no true innocence or answer. He always would have done something wrong. "And who the hell are you to pass on that kind of judgement?" Alex asked, shoving the other back and being met with a very satisfying sound for it. "You don't know a goddamn thing about me."

So it was true . . . There were evil men stalking outside of bathrooms. Alex would have to adjust his worldview. His reaction was instantaneous, his own knife- a punch blade- pressed against the other's heart, hand brushing against the other's jacket. There might have been a chance there, the momentary break as the other took in their surroundings. They were standing on glass, shattered tile. Alex could feel a particularly sharp piece cutting through his shoe into his foot. It didn't hurt a bit.

He had to admit, he hadn't even considered screaming as an option. Testing his luck to see how many times he could stab the other before he slit his throat, yes! But screaming? What would that do? "So this is a negotiation?" Interest fluttered across his expression. There wasn't much you could get from a name, unless you already knew who you were looking for. Alex, with his incessant paranoia and shitty luck got a couple of ideas.

"Alex," He said, deciding to play along as the knife pressed in a little deeper. "Alex Smite." He doesn't bother asking the other's name in return, sure that only threats laid on that path. "To what do I owe the pleasure?" He asked. Disinterested. Snarky. Probing.

Sure had fucked up this time, hadn't he?

The voices were quiet now. The whole world was quiet really, just their shared breath and his beating heart between them. There had been something before. A kind of welling feeling, although he couldn't describe it anymore than that . . . Maybe he didn't have to.

Force a ship on me. That’s happened before and it was an extremely unpleasant situation. I like writing intricate stories, exploring many kinds of relationships and not just romantic ones so if shipping is all you care about, I’m not the right blog for you. That doesn’t mean I won’t ever write shippy things, I just like to do some plotting first, work on building the bond between our muses, that’s much better than just instashipping.

Follow me or approach me to write with you if you’re under the age of 18. Most muses on this blog are from horror franchises so mature themes will be present here almost on a daily basis and interacting with minors when I write this type of characters would make me uncomfortable.

Godmod. Some mild stuff is fine but if we’re writing a scene where a fight is taking place or something, don’t severely hurt or kill my character without plotting that with me first, that would be just rude.

So this is sort of a horror-themed blog so things like blood and violence won’t be tagged, if things do get a little too explicit however, I will be tagging the posts as “[insert trigger here] cw”, smut and the like will be tagged as nsfw and put under a read more. Let me know if you ever need anything specific to be tagged & I’ll do my best to have everything tagged accordingly.  

I do some formatting and usually add icons to my replies. But if you don’t do that, it’s fine, I don’t really care about that and I will still write with you so no worries!

I write some characters from video games here and I know some people prefer to use rl faceclaims for those while others just use screencaps from the games to make icons. I'm okay with either, really and will adapt to my rp partner's choice regarding that when we're writing together. 

My Resident Evil muses are heavily affiliated with my friend's ( cautionsissued ), since we've done lots of plotting together for them. So her muses Chris, Claire, Carlos, Mia, Rose and Sherry are my mains. But if you write one of those characters too, don't worry, I still will rp with you, it just won't be set in my main/default verse but in a different one. I'm always open to plotting and starting new au's as stated above, that being said-- never let me having a main for a certain character discourage you from writing with me!

I tend to get a little carried away while writing replies sometimes, but never feel like you have to match the length of said replies! Quality over quantity always. :’)

Announcement

Well hello everyone!

It’s been a while since we’ve had an anouncement. I’m sure you have noticed that our blog has become a bit quieter. Our lives have changed quite a bit and therefore we can’t produce as many icons as we were used to. 

Unfortunately, we have some really, really bad news. 

As most of our loyal followers know, we have started using Google Drive more than 2 years ago and it’s been going so well. We have uploaded hundreds, I even think thousands, of icons. 

And then, a few weeks ago, we got some really bad info... there is a huge increase of cost coming and we simply can’t invest the amount we would need to pay. So... as sorry as we are to see Google go, we will no longer upload our icons there and all our icons will be gone. 

If you need anything from the sets, just download them as long as you can. Our Google Drive will be gone by January, 1st. We’re not sure how we’re going to get our icons to you in the future, but we will discuss the matter and once we know, we will let you know, too. 

Until then we wish all of you a very merry christmas and a happy new year. Enjoy time with your families and most importantly, stay home and stay safe!
