Actually, that last reblog got me thinking...

Gary and Luna.

He's definitely gonna look out for her.

Would think she's a little strange, it's hard not to, but very much admire the way she's just... herself. Vibrantly, unapologetically, disarmingly herself. And he would appreciate her unique view on the world.

In his regular verse, he would teach Care for Magical Creatures when Luna is in Hogwarts, and Luna would definitely be welcome to spend time with the animals and creatures in his care whenever she'd like. He'd appreciate the company that doesn't demand any more than he can give, especially on bad days both physically and mentally, and I think she might appreciate the peace and quiet? Also, since she goes on to become a magizoologist, Gary could be her mentor.

In the age-shifted verse, he would be a Ravenclaw student, a year or two older than Luna, and somehow without him even realizing it he would adopt her in his heart as the little sister he never had before her first year is out.

It's a been a minute but I missed my boy, so here I am)

I found the perfect PSD for Gary, changed icon to his v. 4.3 look because I feel the vibe, made a promo and now I am very excited to finally start writing him!

Now I'm thinking that if Gary and Seamus the sheltie live in the country, they are definitely gonna get someone else, maybe a black sheltie puppy this time. And then another one, maybe...

Point is, if Gary lives in the country ( like in verse 4.3 ), he's definitely got a whole pack of shelties. He's soft for them and they are great company and also maybe his parental instincts are awakening but he's not particularly into long-term relationships these days, let alone settling down with a family, most of all because of his... affliction and how it would affect any family he has so why even think about ruining someone's life, let alone a baby's who have no say in the matter, if he can have a whole little pack of shelties instead? which is... nothing's wrong with a pack of shelties, the more the better, but baby, please, that's not gonna solve your problem

Adding to that, he loves living in Hogwarts because he loves living in the country, close to nature ( that's something that, once again, soothes both him and his inner wolf ), and he and Seamus the sheltie go for long runs every morning and evening ( something something about him trying to shut his thoughts out that rear their head most viciously in the mornings and during the night and exhaust himself until he can't think about anything other than either his duties or sleep, but also secretly foolishly hoping it would either sate or exhaust his inner wolf enough so that it won't be so vicious the night of the full moon ).
