Soft asks if you're still doing them: Daydreams, freckles, dimples, skin
daydreams: if you could be anything or anyone, who would you be?
oh... hm. I think I'd want to be part of musical theatre somehow. to be able to sing and act well and also possibly meet my favorites <3
freckles: most-worn article of clothing?
on work days, cardigans in general, but probably one of my black cardigans. on other days my Waitress jacket. if we count shoes, then probably my rainbows.
dimples: most attractive features of a person's face?
cliché, but eyes <3 and smile!
skin: what distant relative are you closest to?
my dad's cousin's kids, I think!
soft asks <3

I don’t give a fuck about walking into the kids section of the bookstore. If I want to find my percy jackson books I’m going to do so with zero shame because these little gremlins don’t appreciate the place like I do

my prof opened our first lecture by playing a video of the band and then saying "in my humble opinion, rock n roll doesn't get much better than this. the band. 1969. led by canadian singer robbie robertson." when he asked if anyone knew the band i was the only person to raise my hand in a lecture hall of 400+ people. and today someone in my other class said “hey you’re in [class] right? i saw you raise your hand.” and im not even that INTO the band for this to be my introduction to people in real life

🎵 & heartbreak
OH. oh okay. 😭
send me 🎵 and a feeling/mood and I’ll make you a lil playlist
playlist under the cut <3
BREATHE AGAIN by Sara Bareilles / I always felt like this song was someone in the middle of heartbreak, treading water and searching for solid ground.
ALL TOO WELL by Taylor Swift / I love the 10 minute version, but I chose the original version because it has a special place in my heart, and to me, is more "heartbreak" than the 10 minute one (not more heartbreaking, but if "heartbreak" is the descriptor, I feel like it just makes more sense).
STILL HURTING by Katie Rose Clarke / I love all versions of this song, but I'm linking the KRC version because hers is my favorite.
THE HILL by Cristin Milioti / "I know that you can't do it all, but you can't say I'm not trying" will always kill me. As for heartbreak, the ending of this song also really gets me: "looking at you leaving... I'm looking for a sign."
ALMOST LOVER by A Fine Frenzy / "I never want to see you unhappy, I thought you'd want the same for me." Okay.
ASHES AND WINE by A Fine Frenzy / Two A Fine Frenzy songs, but I just couldn't choose. I love them both and find both of them to be heartbreak songs, just different kinds of heartbreak.
I KNOW THE TRUTH by Idina Menzel / I know there's a beautiful studio recording of this, but it's one of my favorite Idina performances so I always listen to her version (even though it's 2001/2002 bootleg quality).
BIGGER THAN THE WHOLE SKY by Taylor Swift / I tried not to overdo it with Taylor Swift songs for this playlist, but "All Too Well" means so much to me that I had to include it, and I wanted to include this one too because I think it's a very heartbreaking song that doesn't get enough attention.
EET by Regina Spektor / Oh, this song. It describes such a specific part of heartbreak, forgetting things you thought you could never forget.
