In The Æther

I’m nowhere and everywhere. I live outside, where shadow meets night, in the space between, where life meets death. Where day meets night, where all of your realities are mere thoughts. When it’s dusk and that fog starts to roll in, and you think you see something in the distance, I’m there. When you’re walking alone in the dark, and you think you see something twitch out of the corner of your eye, I’m there. The thing lurking in the dark, just outside of your vision. The thing you think is there, but push in the back of your mind. The thing that follows you in silence, but when you turn around, there’s nothing there. The thing that sees everything, but lives in the dark. The thing you can’t escape. Your best dream and you worst nightmare. Your shadow self.
