Hi I saw your request are open ; I was wondering can I can request the worst isekai au hcs between Luffy and the reader please
if this au is not allowed maybe yandere Luffy hcs of your choosing (platonic, romantic) with a crew mate darling vs enemy darling ^^ love to hear your thoughts (possible female reader if not gn is fine )
if this request makes you uncomfortable you can delete this no worries , hope your doing ok 💗
Ooh, well this is awkward cause if I answer totally honest it'll spoil damn near everything.
And is it really headcanons if it's my au verse lol? Question for the fandom scholars I suppose.
So!
The reader is pretty damn exasperated with Luffy and his crew. Finds them exhausting but secretly charming. Nothing ever goes right around the straw Hats, even with the weird 'normal bubble' around reader.
Luffy finds it weird how he 'doesnt work right' around them but somehow his double jointed flexibility is freakier to the crew than the cartoon logic nonsense he usually engages in. And he can actually get hurt from shit, so that's weird too.
It's a bit odd all around.
He likes how they shake things up just by existing but doesn't like being 'weaker'. It's frustrating.
What's even more frustrating to him is their dream... Something about it bothers him. 'wanting to be normal', bah! Bullshit! He totally calls bullshit, who wants that? He's heard of weird dreams but 'normal'?
Nah, he's going to power through the awkward, uncomfortable reality of being around them because he can see that this 'dream' is a cover for something. Not sure what yet, but it's just like when he met Robin and her defeated attitude. There's a wonderful, amazing dream in them, somewhere.
And he's going to make it come out of their mouth one way or another.
...
The reader feels nostalgic watching Luffy goof around. Watching his crew.
It hurts. In a good way? They can't stay, they left for a reason. But it was nice to be reminded of the good times. The excitement and adventure. Where the world was vast and open before them instead of oppressive.
They can't go back to what they used to be.
And Luffy, somehow, knows that they never were what they thought of themselves. Now he just has to convince them of that.
Gear 5 Luffy sees who they really are.
...
Not so different after all.
Something bigger in the smallest vessel possible.
Tearing at the seams to get out.

So @pinapin and I were talking about what would happen if you wrote a fic using a D20 to determine the outcomes of everything that a character attempts to do, and it snowballed into a full blown D&D fantasy AU
Race/class details below the cut!
Scout - half-orc/way of the drunken bonk master monk
Soldier - human/genie warlock
Pyro - ???/dragonblood sorcerer
Demo - triton/war wizard-fighter multiclass
Heavy - dwarf (with gigantism)/glory paladin
Engie - needs no introduction/artillerist artificer
Medic - vampire/order of the profane soul blood hunter
Sniper - human/sniper (tf2)
Spy - changeling/soulknife rogue
(ft. original scrapped soldier sheet; yes, Merasmus is his patron)
Tumblr media
(and also ft. other sketches)

ignore the drow, this isn't about him

I gotta say, one iconic thing about Rishe (7th Time Loop) is that during the first meeting with Arnold, in this life, she went "Oh my god that's Arnold Hein, the ruthless emperor from my past lives that took over the continent and started war after war, the man who killed me in my last life by plunging a sword in my chest........ damn he's still hot"
Speak your truth sister!

Villainess anime reviews
went on a bit of a binge, so here's a compilation:
I'm the Villainess, So I'm Taming the Final Boss
rating: lots of fun
one of the funnier entries on this list in my opinion, i actually laughed out loud multiple times
the protagonist is a capable and determined lady, as well as slightly unhinged which i always enjoy, i love weird women
breakneck pace, speedrunning like 3 games in the 12 episode, so it is the opposite of boring
this anime has everything: ducks, crows in bowties, crossdressing, ducks, video game brain rot, and ducks
Villainess Level 99: I May Be the Hidden Boss but I'm Not the Demon Lord
rating: at east somewhat interesting (still ongoing, episodes watched: 5)
aside from the gimmick a pretty standard isekai with pretty eh animation
a lot of this show is kinda boring, but there are still interesting and enjoyable moments
the protagonist is charming and probably the strongest part
i will probably be continuing to see what happens next so depending on that my opinion may change
The Most Heretical Last Boss Queen: From Villainess to Savior
rating: charming
one of the series from this list that i enjoyed most, even if the story and the world are a bit simple, the characters and their struggles still work and aren't too difficult to get invested in
a bit more drama in this one, with tragic flashbacks (or whatever they're called if its abt an alternate plotline) that i found maybe a little too frequent
here the protagonist is also capable, driven, and quite traumatized, i wanna hold her in my hands like a baby bird
My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom!
rating: cute!
the bisexual harem is a breath of fresh air
bakarina's dumbassery is a great source of comedy, she's also pretty lovable so the harem around her is believable. and i love a gal with a hobby
I'm in Love with the Villainess
rating: eh
kinda disappointed with this one, i was hoping for some fun gl story, but it could barely watch the first episode and had to force myself to try a few more in hopes it got better (it didnt)
the romance part felt more like harassment in those first episodes, and sure, ive read that it progresses further, but the protagonist didnt really endear herself to me with that
given the comedy tag on mal there were probably some jokes in it, i just couldn't identify many good ones
7th Time Loop: The Villainess Enjoys a Carefree Life Married to Her Worst Enemy!
rating: hell yeah! (still ongoing, episodes watched: 6)
the best one of all shows listed and the only one that's not an isekai
much more grounded, with good worldbuilding and another capable lady as the protagonist, but this one even more so, as well as much more mature
very pretty, even if i find some character designs questionable :v
definitely got me hooked and i will be watching more

Last episode I was so sure that this will be a story about Wolff's love that couldn't withstand the difference in lifespan. Now I'm happy it was not actually about it. This story about sisters whose father was never around to care for them, and who forced one of them to take care of the other thanks to what one of them was robbed of her life and everything that came with it because she was never allowed to step away from her sister's bed, and who yelled and disregarded his daughter's feelings when she allowed herself to step aside just once, which ultimately led to the death of both of his daughters who then got reunited in another world and finally managed to heal their broken hearts, is far more compeling and beautiful than any romantic story.

This is the shoujo that taught me its important to give manga second chances!
I didn't super love it the first time I read it, but the second time I did I was head over heels and binge-bought the rest of the series! 🤩
7th Time Loop has been an instant buy ever since! 🥰

I finished 7th time loop today. A great addition to the already stacked season for winter!
Rishe is a top tier MC, I enjoyed watching her all this time. And I truly thought that this finale was beautiful. I doubt we’ll get a second season. But it was fun to watch while we could.
I really hope that we start getting more of these solid shows with strong female MCs that are written well.

I haven't the slightest idea when I'll pivot back around to Worst Isekai so I thought I'd leave this here.
Just a small taste and hopefully one day it's liked or reblogged and reminds me of it enough to commit/start/finish it.
The locket is from your dearest friend.
The most humble, loving friend that inspired your dream to find comfort in normalcy. To want that.
They sucked at baking bread but tried anyway.
Over and over again, learning and growing at (perhaps) a slow rate. But it was a labor of love and showed you how some things are worth the struggle. It didn't come naturally to them but they did it anyway.
And they were happy, so damn happy, to do it all over and over again. Joy found in failing and getting back to it. Scrapping, regrouping, experimenting and just trying even when it looked like they were doomed to fail.
Maybe you loved them in the simplest way possible. With your whole heart. Silly baker with a crooked smile. So lackluster and ordinary and breathtaking.
You could see a seed of greatness inside them, ready to bloom. But they saw no need for it. They didn't want to bloom into legend.
And somehow, more baffling than this unambitious want, was that they saw something in you too. Something humble and gentle. Kind like moist dirt in the spring. Snowdrops peaking out under powder. Sunshine on a worn, wooden porch stretching across the lazy barn cat on a cool summer's eve.
They looked at you like you could be anything you wanted. But that it would be infinitely more rewarding to be happy.
And you loved them all the more for it.
Their picture kept in a locket resting over your heart a reminder of how close you could be to real peace. True happiness that didn't crush you in a cold, unyielding grip. Pressure all around you, making your bones creak in protest.
You don't need greatness.
Or glory or fame or power.
You wanted to be happy and perfectly ordinary. Loving all the humble gifts the next day would bring without tears and blood as penance.
Just like them.
And in it's own, deeply ironic, way, that was the most extraordinary thing of all.

wanted to figure out all RB's scars collected throughout her time in Hisui and i accidentally ended up making a proper ref sheet for it oops. this is what she ends up with after a year+ of wandering the wilds and getting attacked by crazy megafauna, and it's not even including all the injuries that DIDN'T scar, like countless bites, scrapes, bruises, cuts, etc, or ones that leave no mark on the skin, like a badly rolled ankle, a broken collarbone, psychic whiplash from tanking too many confusion moves, soul deep nerve damage from Ghost-type overexposure, etc
a lot of these are covered in the outline of her story i've got plotted out, but i'm sure when i sit down to actually write it as prose there will be more that pop up

some time ago I saw you tag a post about isekai abt how they're are a different type of hell to write compared to a "normal" au. and now I'm curious. how are they different?
well. for one, isekai is a bad genre—
no. i mean it is. most isekai ive read—and ive read a lot of isekai—is objectively not very good. entertaining sometimes! but not very good
but actually it’s bc the isekai fic i wrote ended up significantly more popular than i thought it would be (cannot stress enough, when i wanted to write it, i had to explain to every one of my friends i talked abt it with what “isekai” was, which lead me to think maybe the genre wasn’t as well-known as id thought) and immediately eclipsed the stats of every other fic i’d ever written. that thing got gorgeous art and fics written abt it, like, ???????? my friends made up the entire dating sim plotline and started talking about writing a full LN. of my fake dating sim. my roommate coded a little bit of it? one of my fencing teammates told me they’d read it before knowing it was me bc of one of those fics, which is mortifying. pretty sure i was in rendog cosplay when they said this so like definitely not the most mortifying thing abt that convo objectively but it added something for sure
coughs uh anyway. y’know. maybe i should have been more specific. writing one is fine. has its own unique challenges like any other au. living with having written one, however? hell

I know you haven't posted a profile leader of the isekai girls' clan yet, and if you don't have all the details for them ironed out yet (besides Honeypaw and Frostblaze both being the leaders kits) that's all good. But while looking at your latest post about the au, it got me thinking: how do you think the leader feels about 'Honeypaw''s sudden personality change, unnatural (because they're human moves) new fighting style, and tendency to walk on her hind legs? Because I'd imagine even if they weren't particularly close before Honey replaced her, it'd definitely be eyebrow raising to someone who knew her beforehand.
i'll definitely be putting the parents on my to-do list since I have thought of them, mainly because my inspiration is a mix of things that made go oooh yes or pissed me off so badly i stole them JUST to tear them apart in this lol
Honeypaw's relationship with her father, Owlstar, is strained. His relationship with her mother is purely political: he wants an heir, she wanted to join their Clan. In the books (from Frostblaze's perspective), he's written as an aloof but noble cat who can be stern but only because he cares. In the "real" world of the book...he's a standoffish, absent father who cares little about Honeypaw (due to her lack of resemblance to him) and often speaks of his disappointment (despite him having little presence in her life to guide her).
When the real Honeypaw is killed, he is sad and he does grieve...but doesn't stay for the ceremony. When she does come, he's happy! He welcomes her, nuzzles her in greeting, and visits her in the medic's den as she recovers...but it's also stilted, awkward, and suffocating for them both. He says very little and sometimes scolds her for her recklessness (and while in the book this is passed off as him "caring but struggling show it", in practice...it just comes off as apathy to Honey & Honeypaw).
I'd imagine her first few moons of weirdness is him passing it off as a cry for attention until it continues...and not only does she no longer seek his approval, she actively avoids him. Honey would realize his and Honeypaw's relationship is strained pretty early on and, to keep Honeypaw from being in a bad mood and also to avoid having her own father scold her (her body more than her soul), basically stays out of his way.
I can't imagine he'd investigate too much, he's more preoccupied with his successful heir (even if he can't reveal her yet). It's only when Honeypaw continues to poke around, find out more secrets than she's supposed to that he begins to really question what's going on.
Honeypaw's mother, Beesnap, is also different than in her story form. In the book, she's written as a volatile, self-absorbed mother who defends Honeypaw with her fierce temper no matter what her daughter does. When Honey actually meets her? Beesnap is a rogue-born she-cat and her status as truly a member of the Clan is always being questioned. As a result of being isolated and demeaned, she put on a facade of confidence and snootiness, intent on not letting them get to her. When Honeykit was born, her only daughter, she vowed to make sure her child had a better life in the Clan than she'd be given - resulting in her fierce outbursts to defend her child. Owlstar is absent in Honeypaw's life and that only made Beesnap more focused on protecting her.
Beesnap knows something's going on with her kid but doesn't confront her for some reason. She becomes a cat that Honey goes to advice to often when Splashpaw is busy. Eventually I think Honey does try to reveal the truth...but Beesnap probably doesn't take the fact that her beloved daughter's been body snatched very well.
Her unnatural behavior does freak them both out, Beesnap keeps having to whisper for her daughter to stOP WALKING LIKE THAT EVERYONE IS STARING AT YOU-
ty for asking!! i kind of went off topic but your question got me thinking so i ended up rambling lol both of these guys are mainly inspired from how wc and these specific webcomics treat parents and i think that shows
