Childe with cold, deadened eyes, until he tilts his head so the sun hits them just perfectly, jagged fragments of light glittering over his gaze.

Childe with slivers of broken skin over his knuckles, dark armor pushing through in its place that he stubbornly covers with his gloves.

Childe with a longer tongue that only flicks out every once in a while, almost always to stick out playfully at you.

Childe with scars littering his back, rough and torn and star-shaped, permanently stained a dark purple, which he only allows you to touch.

Childe who occasionally, instinctively makes little trilling and cooing noises, the sounds just slipping from his throat. if you listen closely when he's nearby, you can even hear him softly purr.

Childe who nuzzles against you, practically molding his body to fit with yours and rubbing his head against your shoulder before smushing his and your cheeks together, a wide grin on his face.

Childe with some subtle, monstrous traits that make you love him all the more.

Sorry I wasn't able to update right away, the power suddenly went out in our apartment ;_; I'm not really sure what's the problem yet since it seems like our unit was the only one affected 😟

Really hoping it gets sorted out soon bc I really want to finish more work from my backlog 😞 I'm about to get the router I ordered soon too so like.... it's such a bad timing & just one more thing for me to stress about??? 🥲

Want to let everyone know that throughout the 4 volumes:

Jack has been offered a gun 10 separate times without accepting it (I guess you could say 11 times but one time doesn't count because Jack wasn't actually being offered the gun he just didn't understand he was being threatened)

and

Jack has pick-pocketed Spencer 4 separate times (which to be fair doesn't sound like a lot but you'd think that Spencer would have learned not to get so close to Jack after like the second time)

so why is wifi gets trolled... well imagine ur me. and u were raised so "secular christian" uve never stepped in a church. i cut 20 second of this clip of me just. looking at those options thinking "am i supposed to know medieval HYMNS?" only for my choice to not matter... and then THATS the song they play.... well either u know that song u you dont... if they had let me pick it as an option. i doubt it would have meant anything to me. except. except for. very fucking year. for DECADES. there was this one song on the family playlist. the song u use to WAKE PEOPLE UP. the song that means. its time to indulge ur family and their annoying ways. a song refered to in conversation as "do di do di doo". that song, being this song....

I think we need to talk about the Hotel's sense of humor more. She really built up a 5d chess puzzle to drive a true crime podcaster to madness, lure her in, and definitely, definitely kill her. That's hilarious to me. The cosmic horror building has a sense of mean humor.

the ferry ride was terrible in many ways, but doing nothing for several hours but lie down in a dark cabin and listening to the most recent murderbot diaries was. admittedly. pretty nice

there's an old rumor that floats around the circles of the divine, that the Creator god will eventually and inevitably fall to the whims of the Abyss, consumed by the darkness forevermore. it terrifies the Archons and other divine beings to know that the one they worship and adore so much would have to endure such agony, so as all the devoted do, they try to prevent it. every law and order that is passed prepares only for the Creator's arrival, in hopes that the combined power of Teyvat will be able to keep their god safe and sound, sparing no expense to eradicate the Abyss' presence from the above world.

in their madness, they lay their eyes upon the one they worship and declare them- you- a heretic.

it was like a dream come true when you first woke up in Teyvat, the setting of your favorite game, but the dream quickly twisted into a nightmare as you found yourself hunted by every nation, seemingly every person yelling for your head on a platter. an imposter, they called you- a decoy sent by the Abyss- and for that, you deserved execution and death.

and execute you they did, when they inevitably caught you after weeks of running, your blood running a deep red on the pavement, speckled with nearly invisible stars.

when you wake up again, you first only feel pain, pain everywhere, from your head to the tips of your fingers. you want to cry out, but your throat is bone-dry, only faint, raspy coughs coming out. then suddenly you're surrounded by warmth, a pair of arms grasping your broken body gently with a soothing purr. Childe- Foul Legacy- cradles you lovingly, helping you sit up slightly to sip water before settling you back down with a soft croon, the entire Abyss silent and peaceful in your presence. Legacy traces the scar that runs the entire circumference of your neck with one delicate claw, letting out a quiet hiss at the thought of those foolish gods and mortals who hurt you before holding you closer and giving your head a comforting pat.

you smile, weak and faint, at the action, and Legacy rumbles in delight as the Abyss wraps around you; a dark, starry blanket of warmth and peace.

well, progress on chapter 2 is going great today guys. i sat myself down with my tea, got to a really tense serious slightly action packed paragraph and my brain just decided to press pause right in the middle

the dvd has a scratch in it. need to eject it and clean it a little

i think its kinda funny that ibis paint is regarded as the Broke Artist App or whatever (as opposed to more mainstream programs like csp or procreate) because its free and because of how popular it is with phone + finger artists while im jusg sitting here having used ibis for a cool eight years on purpose.

like i have an ipad and an apple pencil and all theyre very nice and i absolutely could move to a more powerful program i have the resources to do so but my change averse brain has decided they like it here a lot and im not leaving
