Prompt Geraskier - angst

Prompt: A witcher friend from Geralt's past returns… and it's like… a long-time friend, before he met Jaskier. Jaskier feels jealous once this friend joins the group. The problem is that Jaskier will discover that this friend is going to betray Geralt… he might be trying to kidnap Ciri or something… and Geralt doesn't believe him. In an fight with Jaskier, Geralt will say things like: ''I've known him for decades! (…) He's been a friend for longer than I've known you… (…) I trust him! (…) You're only with me because you want stories for your songs! (…) (Consider here that Geralt has not yet discovered that Jaskier was tortured and this could be discovered in this fic, after something that almost kills Jaskier. Leaving the witcher even more guilty. I think about Jaskier having a physical confrontation with this friend witcher. Whether it's this friend trying to eliminate the bard for being in the way and having discovered things or even Jaskier trying to confront him about the truth… or Jaskier defending Ciri or Geralt. It would be interesting for Geralt to find him hurt… after the confrontation. I imagine Jaskier is hurt, and tells Geralt to go save Ciri because this friend is after her and Jaskier says he will be fine. But we know he is very hurt. death. The friend may say something: ''I tried to get rid of that useless bard and in the end, he was really loyal to you''. I also think… that in some dialogue, Jaskier says to Geralt: ''You are. witchers may have been friends for a long time, but what are 20 years in a witch's life? And what are 20 years in my life?'' Heavens… pain. ahahaaha

* ´ 𓈀 WICTHERED : EVERLAST … a nine-membered fictional boy group under melody media, created by the mid 2018 survival show, EVERLASTING. the group officially debuted on november 20th, 2018 but originally debuted in JULY of that year.

after their ORIGINAL debut, they were met with a small amount of success, just barely being able to gain enough traction to allow MELODY MEDIA to continue promoting them, instead of the idea of completely scrapping the group and making a new lineup based off of the other trainees on the show. this never happened, however, as their DEBUT song was removed from all platforms and became inaccessible to the public before their now widely recognized debut with the single ‘SUPERHUMAN’ was released in november of that same year.

EVERLAST are known for their unique sound and are often referred to as the boy group who ‘make the noisiest music ever’ and ‘can barely produce two beats’. despite their controversial reputation, EVERLAST have now become a household name in the music industry despite releasing a failed debut and a few singles that only attracted crickets.

Falling into the Fandom

Your work week has been crazier than normal.   The last few years had been intense, with budget cuts your department of 10 has dwindled down to 6, but the work was divided out and you were all making due. But now, with James on vacation and Julia on maternity leave, there wasn’t much time to breathe.  

This is the monotony that had become your life, go to work, take a short lunch break so that you have something in your system besides coffee, then head home late, leaving a pile of work for the next day, grab some take out on your way home just to repeat it again the following day.  Thankfully, having to work on the weekends was not part of your humdrum existence, so you tried your best to have at least an entire day of something just for you.  

Occasionally meeting friends for brunch with bottomless mimosas, but usually binge watching your favorite TV or movie series.  That was until you were scrolling through social media and caught a notification for Comic Con coming near you next month.  

You didn’t usually attend these events, the cost usually rather intimidating, but this time you decided to at least see who might be there.  Clicking on the link you were shocked to see the wide range of appearances from nearly every series you followed.  

There were actors from Supernatural, Stranger Things, Marvel, DC comics, Walking Dean, Criminal Minds, Chicago Fire, 911, The Boys, Top Gun, The Wicther, Last of Us, Star Wars, and the list just kept going.   The more you looked the more excited you got about the idea of spending a long weekend at the cheapest hotel you could find and getting to meet as many of your celebrity crushes as you could.  

Now that you think about it, it wasn’t just the actors you had a crush on, the characters were a bigger part of your life than the people you actually spoke to on a daily basis.  Before you went to sleep that night you had your weekend booked, you were excited to say the least and you had something fun to look forward to while you dredged through the next month of her normal routine. 

The only difference this month was that weekly activities were as frugal as possible, planning on spending more of your weekly budget on meet and greets and photo ops with as many celebs and characters you could fit into the weekend at Comic Con.   

Packing up everything you needed for the long weekend, the only thing left to do was make sure your brother would be checking in on your cat before the 2 hour drive to the convention center to check out the vendors before the weekend began.   To say you were excited when you finally hit the road was an understatement, this weekend would hopefully be the highlight of your year and bring some true joy back into your life.

Time for another one...

Good Omens - This is still number one. I am in love with the new season, and it broke my heart. Many fanfictions are being planned and noted down. Anyway... Just one more thing to say: THEY'RE SO MARRIED.

Heartstopper - HEARTSTOPPER 2 TOMORROW GUYS!!! OMG, I AM SO EXCITED! Back in my Heartstopper era, and I am so excited to see my babies Nick & Charlie, and Tara & Darcy, and Isaac! Also Elle, Imogen, Tori, and hell even Tao, plus all the new characters!

Red, White & Royal Blue - I fell down a rabbit hole. I'd heard about this a lot, so I went and watched the trailer for the movie - it seemed fun and cute. How is wicther peach with poisonous creatures, like basilisk, cockatrice and wyverns?

I imagine it does next to nothing to her

Oh she's the perfect one for it, they hardly do a thing from a single sucessful hit, it takes a way larger amount of venom or poison to down her. This however dosnt negate the sheer level of damage a talon or tooth could do to her, she's still flesh and bone, and sure heals fast but will sustain heavy damage from something as big as a Wyvern or basilisk. Better to not get hit, you stack tonics use and poisons from a powerful monster and she does start to become toxin riddled, her threshold is just WAY higher.

If she's smart about it she can talk ghosts and spirits down from being hostile and lay them to rest without combat, she has every ability to commune with the dead on their level thans to how she was made. The down side is she's a bit of a coward with the undead and tends to handle them with a fair degree of nervousness, leaving plum as the best for those kinds of foe.

She however is the front line when it comes to handling the poisonous stuff, using her skills as best she can. Not that she can explain why she's like that. chalks it up to the 'will of the gods' or something. shrugs it off, no one told her what happened, not even her fellow witchers who know the truth.
