I want to compile audio of his live performances into some sort of bootleg album because let’s face it, that man’s music is meant to be heard live but not all of us are fortunate enough to be that blessed.
My goal is to have at least one good live recording of each of his songs because I live for the nuances in live music.
Of course, the audio will be taken from whatever’s available online that is good enough in terms of clarity/sound quality.
Then maybe come up with some sort of “album art”.
AND OF COURSE, I WILL NOT BE EARNING ANY MONEY FROM ANY OF THIS.
Since Hozier won’t do it, I’m thinking I will?
If anyone has any suggestions on a specific live performance of a song, please feel free to send it my way! 💕
I'm tagging my posts/updates for this as #hozierawakening bootleg project

42 days until Wasteland. I absolutely did not pace myself with things and i finished most of my projects well ahead of time but im like, itching to do more. The only thing left is my partner's ranger jacket.
Tumblr media
Ive been given a near impossible task to "waste" out the jacket but im not allowed to damage it outside of paint only. This thing is gonna look so weird with just paint and not be like shredded or have holes in it. I will be sewing some bones onto it though, some fur patches. Stay tuned on this, ill post more on this when i can

In a setting where technology has basically been hit with a reset button, the battle between new visual and old audio media isn’t really much of a fight.
Instead, Alastor and Vox represent two different approaches to life in the post-war Wasteland:
Alastor grew up in a very remote, rustic homestead in the swamps of the deep south. Self-sufficiency was paramount to survival - you couldn’t rely on purchasing pre-packaged food or medicine from traders, so you had to forage, hunt, or grow your own. Without easy access to new supplies, you needed to be able to repair and maintain your own clothes, shelter, and equipment. This, amusingly, makes him much more tech savvy than his canon incarnation. He’s still somewhat of a Luddite, though, with a disdain for robotics, power armor, laser and plasma weaponry, and even Pip-Boys and terminals. Give him some old radio equipment to tinker with and a proper projectile rifle over that fiddly nonsense any day. He has a whole library of almanacs, both pre-war and newer hand-written ones by Wastelanders, and his more normal talk segments often come with tips and instructions for repair and survival, encouraging independence.
Vox grew up in the ruins of Pentagram City, and began running with local organized crime at a young age, until an Overlord took him under their wing (that is, until Vox could gather allies and stage a hostile takeover of his mentor’s territory). He sees the value in consumerism and convenience products, peddling quick fixes and new distractions to the people of the Wasteland to build up his empire. He adores the latest, greatest shiny examples of Progress, being an adept programmer and wielding a decent understanding of mechanical engineering, despite most of his products being stolen inventions or re-engineered pre-war tech.

Things are About to Change
I was working on my Red Bull series when I noticed something. Outside of my Wasteland Project, I was getting bored with some of the stories that I was writing. So, I took a two-day break from Red Bull and resumed it today. I threw away my list and I am just going to go on a whim. Tomorrow, I will finish Tenshi Trail: Comet and then see from there. I will still work on my Wasteland Project. I have so many ideas I want to expand upon that I don't know where to start. I will just have to wing it.
Wish me luck.

Books of 2024
The Assassin's Blade, Sarah J. Mass-- My friends have been telling me /forever/ to read her books, so I finally caved and started one of the series. This is a prequel to the actual series, comprised of a bunch of short stories. It was a fun, easy read, but not much of substance and the kind of whiny YA fantasy/romance that I was expecting/dreading, so not sure if I'll continue the series.
Seige and Storm, Leigh Bardugo-- 2nd in her main Grishaverse series, I really enjoyed the book. It was different for me, since I had watched the show first, to see how it differed, since the show had stayed pretty accurate to to the first book, but not to the second. There were things that I liked better about both. Excited to see where the next book takes me.
Eragon, Christopher Paolini--I read this book/series a loooong time ago as they came out, but just recently they released a 20 year anniversary edition (which first of all, I can't believe that the series is 20 years old), so of course I had to go back and reread it. It's just as good as I remember it being, and the writing still holds up over time.
Murtagh, Christopher Paolini--I really enjoyed reading this one! It was great to get back into the Eragon universe after so long and see so many familiar characters and meet new ones. Murtagh himself was always one of my favorites, so I liked getting background on his life and seeing him continue to grow. Would highly recommend reading this one, the writing was great as always and the plot was incredible!
Lord of the Dead, Tom Holland--A fun read, kinda follows the basic plot of dracula, so not anything original, but still fun. Basically Lord Byron as a vampire.
The Dark Tower III: The Wastelands, Stephen King--This might be my favorite book in the series so far. This book was FANTASTIC. I wasn't sure how I felt about the additional characters in the 2nd book, but they really developed into lovable characters in this one.
We Are Okay, Nina LaCour--Stylistically and writing-wise, an easy read, but covers some heavy topics that make it much more difficult. Not a hard read, per se, but there are some parts that might make you cry, although not necessarily tears of sadness. A book about a girl loosing her only remaining family, and working through the grief that comes with that.
Project Hail Mary, Andy Weir--I read the Martian a few years ago, and loved it, so thought I'd give this one a try, and its hard to decide which one I liked more! This one is still as witty and funny as the Martian, but a different story altogether and really knows how to pull you in and keep you invested.
Daughter of Ruins, Yvette Manessis Corporon-- This was a book I emergency bought at the airport because I finished the book I had brought. I wasn't expecting to really enjoy the book, but I was actually very surprised by it and genuinely enjoyed it! It follows the lives of three women living on a small island in Greece, and shows how the events prior to, during, and after World War II affected the lives of everyone on the island, and, what it was like to be a Greek woman living on one of these islands, where at times, one had to give up on their dreams in order to provide for their families, and the generational trauma involved with these women. Honestly a fantastic read, would highly recommend it.
The Paleontologist, Luke Dumas-- A sort of prehistoric ghost story and current murder mystery wrapped up in one. If you suspend your disbelief a little, a very good read. Kind of slow start, but near the end I couldn't put it down!
