Watching this week's highlights from The Voice and uuuuuuh Bill and Tom from Tokyo Hotel are coaches on The Voice Germany and looking SMOKING HOT, and basically 15yo me suddenly woke up screaming and I almost fell of my chair.

in germany, chris evan‘s roles (including steve) are mostly voiced by dennis schmidt-foß, but as johnny storm he‘s voiced by benedikt weber, and it made for a really cool moment during dp&w. bc wade’s super convinced that he‘s steve, but all the german people who watch the german dub of marvel movies religiously are already like huh??? bc that‘s NOT steve rogers‘ voice, and then when it’s revealed that he‘s actually johnny, wade‘s like "ah yeah, i should’ve known from the voice". and idk, it’s not hilarious or anything, but it just made me soo happy that they used wade‘s 4th wall breaks differently in different languages. just felt the need to share this

I don't know who needs to hear this, but Emmrich Volkarins german voice actor is the same guy who voiced Nathaniel Howe in Awakening.

its not practical at all but i like to imagine that Gilbert, at one point, lent his voice to be used for the announcements for the public transit in Berlin, but then into the 2000s it was replaced by the electronic voice today.

Anyways, after Gilbert died, Ludwig asked to reinstate Gilbert's voice to be heard over the intercoms so that he can hear his late Father's voice everyday as he takes the S-bahn or the U-bahn. It took him a while to get accustomed to the grief, but it then became a comfort.

Sometimes, he takes the U-bahn on sleepless nights so that he can close his eyes and listen to Gilbert's voice, imagining he's still here with him, just like he promised he always would be.

I started this rewatch in german bc why tf not and here are some notes:

all the children sound so young

Dustin sounds like a chipmunk with a really, really strong lisp

Jonathan sounds soooo much younger than in English, probably because his va was born in 2000

Barb and Robin are voiced by the same person which feels weirdly ironic in regards to nancy

Eleven is, naturally, called Elf which for some reason translates to her nickname being Elfi which is terrible and sounds like something you would call a dog

I'm gonna switch back to English now bc that's just more enjoyable
