I'm trying so hard here to draw some kind of connection between the 4th dimension and Bill even though I know next-to-nothing about it. Anyway this article seems extremely speculative but it does sound like the kind of thing that would not deter Bill in the slightest from introducing a 4th dimension into our world during weirdmaggedon. Maybe similarly dangerous things could happen to 2D beings if their world was suddenly made 3D, too. I mean, I can't imagine suddenly having one's internal organs exposed to open air and gravity would be great for staying alive. My line of thought here is: what if Bill "liberating his dimension" meant "liberating it from the confines of 2D." What if he made it a 3D world with newfound power, and a side effect of that ended up causing it to go up in flames. What if "and I'm here to liberate [Ford's dimension]" meant his endgoal was making our dimension 4D

I don’t know if you already said this elsewhere, but did the Zenin ever hurt Megumi in a way it simply wasn’t possible for them to explain? Like being poisoned or bitten by one of the dozens curses? Did Gojo catch them red handed (the red is literally megumi’s blood💀)?

The first time that they hurt him in a way that they couldn’t explain away was the last time they hurt him, because Gojo immediately cut them off and refused to ever let them ever get near Megumi again. The Zenin didn't fully realize this at the time they had custody, but legitimately the only reason why it got as far as it did was because Gojo didn't know.

They weren’t exactly advertising “yeah we beat him when we have him” to him, but it wasn’t exactly because they thought gojo would put a stop to it, per se. They didn’t tell Gojo anything they did to Megumi because they felt absolutely entitled to him. They didn’t want Gojo’s input or interference, and they didn’t like feeling like they had to ask for permission around this with Megumi. But they didn’t think he actually would cut them off from him.

In the Zenin’s mind, Gojo doesn’t love Megumi. He’s never loved Megumi. Megumi’s just a political pawn to him, a way to insult the Zenin and steal their most valuable technique for his own. And he got way more value from letting them see him. He got to have his influence on someone who was very likely to be clan head one day—if Megumi’s cut off from them entirely, he’s not moving towards being clan head. He got a bargaining chip with the Zenin—he could further his own goals by offering them more time with him. Megumi’s a powerful piece of leverage but only if Gojo actually uses him. Him intervening to protect Megumi by severing all contact doesn’t further his own goals, so when it all came to a head, they pretty blindly assumed that he wouldn’t give a shit about what they had just done to Megumi, because at the end of the day, they thought he was going to keep using Megumi for his own ends, which meant giving them access.

Instead, Gojo immediately pulled the plug on the entire situation. They never touched or saw him again. The first time that Megumi saw them after the incident that made them go no contact was when Naoya came to pick him up at his school.

so I don't have anything against warhammer 40k (from what I've seen it seems pretty cool).

and I don't know enough about the general fanbase to have a solid opinion on it

but the subset of wh40k fans who're obsessed with barging into any discussion of various sci-fi factions and declaring that wh40k or even just the imperium could destroy said faction/universe — or in some cases literally saying "don't be salty just cus all your favorite settings get solo'd by a space marine lmao" really drive me up the wall

like. shut the hell up.

that 80-90% of the time I see someone bring up wh40k in contexts that aren't about 40k it's to announce just how 40k is so so so so much stronger than every other sci-fi series and could wipe the floor with them really doesn't paint 40k fans (and 40k by extension) in a great light

also — and I'm sorry for bringing up the Alternity every time this happens but I mean. if people are going to be stupid then so will I — have fun beating the Hytherion when it travels billions of years into the past and eats your entire galaxy (or universe) before it even forms

Playing devil survivor 2 and thinking about the concepts and plot points it introduces in the game. Mainly the Akashic Record.

It makes me think about like. The universe’s creation in Pokemashe and makes me want to incorporate the akashic record especially with the multiple timelines.

I might do a full write up about Arceus’s role in the universe, how it was created, and the record sometime soon it’s very interesting to think about worldbuilding wise.
