Also I'm just gonna say that even if it were true that Rodimus was a """""true Prime"""" and Optimus wasn't, that isn't as much of an L for Optimus as people seemingly want it to be.
Like so you're telling me Optimus was never a chosen hero and the burden of the Matrix/leadership pained him morally, emotionally, and physically, yet he still survived 4 million years of war?
You're telling me he wasn't God's Designated Special Boy but he still tried his best to live up to that impossible ideal to the point of developing serious depression and suicidal ideation as a result of so much goddamn loneliness and self-doubt?
Optimus wasn't a "true Prime" and yet he still believed in ideals of reconciliation and ending the cycle of violence? He wasn't a true Prime but he still stayed on Cybertron trying to fix a broken, broken society while also trying to stop Earth from being invaded for a second time? He didn't even need to do that he could've just stayed in exile which he was originally supposed to do all along, and which he would've personally preferred?? You're telling me that Optimus wasn't Primus' Specialest Boy And Chosen Leader and yet he stepped into leadership anyways bc he perceived that there was injustice to be fixed??
Wow yeah I guess Optimus is just such an inferior leader, clearly his actual actions/moral character as person don't matter and his "worthiness" should be judged solely on whether the Magic Cybertronian 8 Ball liked him or not.
#squiggposting#idw op love#literally the more you deconstruct it the less sense it makes#ppl want rodimus to be Validated By Canon as being better than optimus soooo badly#i get it you cant like rodimus without shitting on optimus#however when you get canon wrong i can and will roast your theories#if optimus went thru everything he went thru but somehow still isnt worthy of the matrix#then what WOULD make him worthy??? like seriously#fighting to protect organic species from colonization didnt make him worthy?#trying to find diplomatic resolutions to a 4 mil year long blood feud isnt worthy enough?#doing all of this at the cost of great personal suffering to himself doesnt make him worthy??#being willing to fight and imprison his own autobots for trying to break the peace wasnt enough?#becoming villified by most of earth/cybertron by forcing them to cooperate wasnt enough???#optimus siding with the ultimate victim of cybertronian oppression and 'defeating him' by acknowledging his pain#isnt enough to make him worthy?? THEN WTF IS ENOUGH TO YOU PPL#nothing bc 'worthy of the matrix' is just code for 'validation of my fave'#and most of the ppl in this fandom dont even know OP did all of those things anywYs#also like MOST PEOPLE arent wielders of the matrix are they unworthy too???#WHAT DO YOU MEAN WORTHINESS?? WHAT ARE THE IMPLICATIONS OF THIS ALLEGED WORTHINESS#ON THE MORAL AND THEMATIC FABRIC OF THIS STORY????#literally idw optimus embodies the same values that rodimus does#it's all about love and forgiveness and building a better future and choosing kindness over violence#And if you dont get that optimus represents those just as much as rodimus did well#you prolly didnt read very closely lol

Clearly my stamina for video games has waned DRAMATICALLY bc ive barely managed to clock 2 hours of inquisition across 2 days.
And its not like im fatigued by the gameplay or anything yet like i just got the fucking title screen lol. Like this is not a hinterlands bear moment or a fallow mire situation yet
#dragon age#my inqy is great#its in my oh so sad worldstate#basically the warden (tabris) sacrificed herself bc Alistair was to be king. she basically put him on the throne bc he swore to disolve the#alienages. and so she was like this is a future for elves etc. and she did everything she could to make the world better#her story often spared ppl the brutal details of messy fates and she always tried to fix things while staying focused on her goal#and then morrigans ritual happened and she was like. no fucking way. that sounds like a loophole for some shitfuckery#so she sacrificed herself in alistairs place but then bc he was the only warden left in fereldan he abdicated#bc he saw restoring the wardens as more important. he did make anora swear to fix the plight of elves. but ultimately nothing happened#its then my hc that alistair was the warden in awakening#and poor zevran was left grieving the warden. they got like. unofficially married before her death#which i headcanon as having taken weeks to happen as she slowly succumbed to the archdemon soul bc i love angst#and anyway then my hawke was playful and charming and desired to save whoever she could but everyone kept dying around her#just the most tragic and bloody playthrough#and in her story she never found love. except. that was varric hiding the fact that they were together#she also faked ander's death after the chantry thing#also she was a blood mage bc thats dope as fuck to me. and i also kinda hc that anders dipped into blood magic too#anyway. so my inq is gonna be the same with like. trying her hardest but not being the perfect diplomat bc people cant look past her being#an elf. and a mage.#and also im hc'ing that solas lowkey has a thing for her but shes like. dude#im so gay wtf#and then talking shit with dorian about it

#Woha... Alright read the chapter 🫡#It's just. I get where Fukuchi is coming from and I feel like after rereading it the whole thing was a little more clear but...#Did it *really* have to be so complicated. Like dude did it **really** have to be so complicated.#Maybe it had to idk. After all I'm always the first to say that a complex reality can't be reduced to simple axioms–#and that semplifications never bring anything good.#But at the same time was there REALLY no other way#Couldn't you promote your ideas diplomatically instead. Couldn't you become a democratic activist or politician.#Couldn't you write a book‚ person named OUCHI FUKUCHI#Also couldn't you? Talk about it with someone before executing your crazy plan so that anyone else might have pointed to you how crazy it i#But I suppose the whole central theme of this arc ultimately was “people who try to do everything by their own are destined to fall”#And to an extent it does still feel kinda self-contradictory of a plan. Like ahah my plan included not to make anyone suffer!!!#[turns half world population into a vampire]#Like c'mon? Violations of human rights can happen even without killing people dude#(Also Akutagawa)#(Like I get it he's only one (1) person. But he's also the only (only) person for me so I can't bring myself to ignore him y'know)#Mmmmmhhhhhh that's of the main things ig. I YELLED when they brought up Max Weber and the what-is-a-state question#That's like. One of the main questions my whole life studies centers on.#The adrenaline that gave me to see it mentioned in my current hyperfixation ahfjvafjhcvlawsvfblwhkv#This chapter was just so so political theories packed I felt like I was just still studying lol.#I feel like this was a true “get why bsd is labelled as seinen”.#You just can't do this kind of in-depth political theory discussion in shonen manga ig#What else. Still patiently waiting for ss/kk 😔#random rambles

whats up with the way matt and amanda frame their posts?
let me start by saying that i really appreciate the fact that they stand up for her and defend her against haters; it's sweet that as her friends they show support to her and all that stuff. she gets a lot of unnecessary hate and it's good that they have her back.
however. amanda has a tendency to hyperbole that makes everything she says seem so exaggerated, always calling her by superlatives, an angel, "woman of my dreams", amelia "worshiping" her, "everyone's favourite", both her AND matt calling her his sister??? you end up not being able to take her support that seriously lmao. i get that she's trying to do good because they're friends, and it's nice that she does what she does, but she's so dramatic and passive-aggressive with it sometimes
and then matt... idk wtf happened to him lately because he was always so silent on drama regarding their social circle (he was always kinda lowkey on his socials in general) and then over the past year he's been so adamant on putting her on a pedestal like amanda does. it's not the first time he calls her his sister either, but again if they're close it's nice that he supports her. the only thing that kinda annoys me (and that has absolutely nothing to do with louise) is the "you know i'll get off of here again" shit he pulls every time. i just find it so childish of him because why are you punishing all your fanbase for something only a minority of people does. and why are you holding it over your fans' heads, threatening them to log off at the first chance you get. it's just a poor way of dealing with the problem that does nothing to actually solve it. just show her support without being bitchy with the passive-aggressive threats lmao
#again it's good that they stand up for her like yes go off!! tell haters to shut up!! defend your friend!!#but the way they deal with it is so poorly executed in terms of wording and we've all seen it only ends up having more of a negative effect#which in turn has repercussions not only on them and their relationship (see people starting to hate on amanda when she first started >#> beefing with random louise haters. people started to dig into her past and hating on her too + her being with matt)#but it also ironically ends up having the most negative repercussions on louise herself#which is sad because it makes the whole shitshow absolutely useless and they're all back to square one#obvs they can and should defend their friend from the stupid people leaving hate comments. just maybe do it in a more diplomatic tactful wa#possibly one that doesn't end up hurting her more and having the opposite effect to what you wanted to achieve#because again. she's the one ultimately paying for it and that's just sad#answered

look we all knew if i was gonna do trw/acoc blending together it was gonna be with my favorite faildaughter and the spymistress that represents her every fear and also maybe her terrible adolescent crush
#anna's fic notes#the way the plumbeline that lives in my head is so realized that when i went back to watch a little acoc i was like wait.#where's my characterization. like girl you made that up in your head lmao#the friendly_ficus plumbeline is basically an oc at this point but i will never actually make that move#i like the idea of plum trying to make her own moves while she's young but in a very unsubtle way#and Amangeaux - who has had to learn to BE subtle and BE unremarked on and be in the background on PURPOSE - having very little patience#with her. it's been years and she saves it for people who need it. plumbeline uvano very much does not.#of course ultimately plum DOES get very good at this. it's just that this fic is like childhood to fifteen. and when you're fifteen you are#NOT an able spy or diplomat or politician no matter what your serting may tell you#this whole scene is just plum trying to push buttons but they're all the wrong ones#and amangeaux laser accurate hitting her in weak spots she doesn't even know she has#'if you are to be queen' - because you will NEVER be empress

“You may see how happy this has made me; I look upon your Lordship as part of myself, Utrumque nostrum incredibili modo, Consentit astrum … I am, my dearest Lord,
Ever and most cordially yours,
Holles Newcastle
Written in June of 1753, this a fragment of a letter from Thomas Pelham, Duke of Newcastle and Secretary of State, to the Lord High Chancellor, his closest advisor and dearest friend Philip Yorke, Earl of Hardwicke. The piece of Latin verse which Newcastle chose to include is an extract from Book II, Poem 17 of Horace’s Odes. This particular work was addressed from Horace to his friend and patron Maecenas, and is centered around an entreaty from the poet to his friend not to die before him, as he could not bear to live without the dearest part of his soul.
#some days#I really love what I do#so much of their correspondence is like this#and it’s just the most beautiful and heart rending thing to read#all these tiny declarations of love slipped between diplomatic reports and political news and enquiries about family#it’s profoundly humanizing#especially when you know#that Hardwicke did ultimately die before Newcastle#not the stones#quotes#poetry#history#horace#Maecenas#duke of newcastle#earl of hardwicke#letters#friendship

#right like. when people make a post about wanting to see whatever and someone recs 1 specific thing #i always feel like the reccer - despite probably feeling real enthusiasm - is missing the point a little
#aside from 'i want more options' (which i DO) #so often i - a person who likes the thing - have read and hated the thing being recced #and i want more and different takes on it! (via elucubrare)
ppl misunderstand me when I say "I want more [thing] in stories". I don't mean "I'm going to love every single one" I mean "I'm very picky and I want more of it in circulation so I can actually choose from a wealth of them and be discerning". I see ppl being like "you say you want more of [this thing] but you don't like [example of it]" YEAH CUZ I'M PICKY!!!!!!!! I have opinions and standards????? not all of them are gonna be the same I wanna be able to look at 100 of them and go "I want these 20" not "I only have 3 to choose from and I don't like any of them" you feel me??????
#exactly#like el is being fairly understatedly diplomatic here (as always) but like#if someone is complaining abt a thing you think [insert obvious text here] does well—#they probably don't agree with you that said text does it well!!!#anyway that's a little bit a digression from the main pt of this post but it comes up so often and feels like having a stone in yr shoe lol#however. yes. scarcity means you don't get to be picky and i am a deeply picky person.#offer me a wealth of options so i can reject the majority of them and in so doing establish my own superior discernment#and ultimately accumulate a small but luxurious mound of Correct Executions of the Thing to roll around in#i guess this gets filed under#bookblogging#though of course it applies to all forms of narrative really!

i love lxc for many reasons but i've never seen anyone express a reason for his relationship to asking questions/accepting answers (he does both, btw) that's even vaguely aligned with the interpretation i've come to prefer
#ok that's. hyperbole.#this is also ofc kind of speculative since we just don't get his thoughts#but xichen also thinks the world sucks and options are limited#like. he clearly deeply understands this. he acts and talks like someone who knows this.#and many contextual clues confirm this to be correct#i think for xichen tho that understanding manifests in an ideology of being as kind as possible#(similar to mingjue but.. more diplomatic)#and i think that makes sense bc if xichen turned his back on society#he'd be abandoning his sect who actually do depend on him#and for various reasons that's obviously unacceptable#the only way to resolve this conflict is then to believe it's possible to be somewhat good in society#(at least not.. all bad)#and in many ways what meng yao is trying to do is similar!#in that he's trying to do good in a broken system which is hard and has many costs#i think this is the most interesting interpretation of why xichen feels betrayed morally by the 'reveals' of my doing bad stuff#(and ultimately why he kind of was right to begin with)#also posits the fascinating option of...#he may not have ever pushed (e.g. regarding his mom)#bc subconsciously he knew/feared that he'd choose love over society#i think this is more believable than him doubting his capacity of still loving her!#that's what a-yao is afraid of. i think xichen would have the opposite fear.#and like i said the consequences of that choice--and he's seen them--are dire#and so it's in part this refusal to do this thing he's decided is harmful (prioritize his feelings over the well-being of the many)#that moves his hand in guanyin temple. epic. gamerful. i love you lan xichen

@tmorgansideblog my deepest sympathies
Hot take: it's fucking idiotic to call someone who is just calmly trying to explain their actions or emotions 'rude'. It's ESPECIALLY idiotic to say that to a small child. You'll end up turning them into a fucking doormat unable to speak up for themselves (me)
Kids can't properly control tone yet. I ESPECIALLY couldn't due to autism. So to hold a kids tone to the importance of the tone of an actor on set to get the correct feel is completely idiotic. And some teen girls literally *just sound like that*. They aren't "being rude" that's just what her voice sounds like. They aren't "making excuses" they are genuinely trying to fucking communicate their reasons so that an understanding can be reached. This shit is why EVERYONE SUCKS AT COMMUNICATING AND WE NEED TO FUCKING STOP DISCOURAGING HONEST AND OPEN COMMUNICATION
Most kids are innately honest until they are taught to lie by society or their parents. By making them FEAR honesty. By punishing them for communicating you are teaching them to lie. You are making lieing feel like the safest option even when you punish for lies. Because at least with the lie there's a chance of no punishment, but with the truth you'll 100% get punished.
#one time i tried to put it nicely to my sister to not ask me a certain question that is a typical question but one i found invasive#and she said my tone was hostile and she got all offended#and like yeah of course my tone wasnt happy bc im asking you to stop doing an annoying thing#but i was ultimately trying to avoid conflict diplomatically which didnt work

𝐃𝐞𝐬𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐧𝐭 - 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐔𝐧𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐭𝐬 °❀⋆
TikTok - Masterlist - YouTube (subliminals)
The descendant in astrology represents the qualities we seek in others—traits that, while often admired in partners, reflect parts of ourselves that remain unexpressed or unexplored. Unlike the ascendant, which embodies our natural style of self-expression, the descendant reveals the energies we are instinctively drawn to in relationships, qualities that can feel foreign yet enticing. These traits act as a mirror, encouraging us to grow by balancing our inherent characteristics with complementary ones, ultimately fostering a fuller sense of self. By understanding the dynamics of the descendant, we can unlock hidden aspects of our personality and integrate qualities we might otherwise project onto others, paving the way for more authentic, harmonious, and enriching connections.
𝐀𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐀𝐬𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐧𝐭, 𝐋𝐢𝐛𝐫𝐚 𝐃𝐞𝐬𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐧𝐭
With Aries rising and Libra on the seventh house cusp, relationships serve as a reflective surface where Aries risings encounter parts of themselves they may not fully recognize or embrace. Aries, ruled by Mars, is naturally independent, assertive, and action-oriented. When Libra, ruled by Venus, governs the seventh house, Aries risings are often drawn to partners who seem graceful, diplomatic, and harmonious. These Libran qualities contrast with Aries' direct, individualistic nature, making them appear as qualities to seek in others rather than to cultivate within.
For example, an Aries rising might feel that their partner is overly focused on maintaining peace, interpreting this as passive or even indecisive behavior. In reality, these perceptions are a reflection of their own potential for diplomacy, patience, and cooperative energy. Through relationships, Aries risings are encouraged to integrate the softer, more relational qualities of Libra, creating a balanced approach to both self-expression and partnership. This dynamic allows them to find harmony between their personal drive and the relational needs of those they connect with.
Venus through the Houses (ruler of Libra):
Venus in the 1st House (Aries): Relationships influence self-image, drawing partners who boost confidence and charisma. The individual learns to balance their assertive nature with charm, making them both dynamic and appealing in relationships.
Venus in the 2nd House (Taurus): Partnerships emphasize security and shared values, attracting stable, dependable partners. Relationships bring out a deeper appreciation for self-worth and financial harmony, grounding love in mutual support.
Venus in the 3rd House (Gemini): Communication and intellectual connection are central, attracting witty, versatile partners. Relationships thrive on curiosity and exchange, helping the Aries rising cultivate adaptability and open-mindedness.
Venus in the 4th House (Cancer): Love feels nurturing and centered on home life, attracting partners with strong family values. Partnerships foster emotional stability and deepen the need for a secure, comfortable home environment.
Venus in the 5th House (Leo): Relationships are passionate, playful, and expressive, drawing romantic, warm-hearted partners. There’s a strong emphasis on joy and creativity, encouraging Aries risings to embrace shared affection and adventure.
Venus in the 6th House (Virgo): Love is practical, with a focus on service and shared routines, often attracting supportive, reliable partners. Relationships bring out a nurturing side, encouraging commitment and care in everyday life.
Venus in the 7th House (Libra): Harmony in relationships is central, with partners often embodying balance, grace, and mutual respect. Partnerships help the Aries rising cultivate patience and diplomacy, showing the beauty of equal and supportive love.
Venus in the 8th House (Scorpio): Relationships are transformative and emotionally intense, drawing deep, passionate partners. This placement encourages the Aries rising to explore vulnerability, trust, and emotional intensity in love.
Venus in the 9th House (Sagittarius): Partnerships bring a spirit of adventure and growth, attracting partners from diverse backgrounds or interests. Relationships expand their worldview, fostering openness and curiosity in both love and life.
Venus in the 10th House (Capricorn): Love is serious and ambitious, with a focus on long-term goals and stability. Partners are often mature or goal-oriented, challenging the Aries rising to blend personal success with relational stability.
Venus in the 11th House (Aquarius): Friendships and shared ideals play a central role, leading to unconventional partnerships. Partners encourage individuality and freedom, fostering relationships that emphasize personal growth and unique bonds.
Venus in the 12th House (Pisces): Relationships are compassionate, sometimes spiritual, with a subtle, mysterious quality. Partners may inspire empathy and self-reflection, pushing the Aries rising to explore deeper emotional and spiritual realms.
𝐓𝐚𝐮𝐫𝐮𝐬 𝐀𝐬𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐧𝐭, 𝐒𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐩𝐢𝐨 𝐃𝐞𝐬𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐧𝐭
With Taurus rising and Scorpio on the seventh house cusp, relationships are a profound mirror reflecting Taurus's unexamined potential for depth, emotional intensity, and transformation. Taurus, ruled by Venus, gravitates toward stability, comfort, and predictability, preferring a grounded approach to life. With Scorpio ruling the seventh house, Taurus risings are drawn to partners who embody intensity, mystery, and a sense of emotional depth. These Scorpio qualities often feel foreign to Taurus, who might initially view them as either alluring or intimidating, depending on their comfort level with vulnerability and change.
For example, Taurus risings might see their partners as "too intense" or "too secretive," especially if they themselves are hesitant to delve into the complexities of their own emotional world. In reality, these traits are mirrors of the Taurus rising’s own potential for emotional depth and passion, parts of themselves that may not be fully integrated. Relationships with Scorpio on the descendant push Taurus risings out of their comfort zones, encouraging them to confront themes of trust, shared resources, and emotional resilience. Through these partnerships, they learn to balance their natural need for security with Scorpio’s transformative energy, finding strength in vulnerability.
Mars through the Houses (ruler of Scorpio):
Mars in the 1st House (Taurus): Relationships have a powerful impact on self-image, drawing strong, assertive partners who encourage Taurus risings to assert themselves more boldly. Partners inspire them to develop confidence and embrace a more dynamic, self-assured approach.
Mars in the 2nd House (Gemini): Partnerships emphasize shared values, security, and finances, attracting partners who challenge traditional views on resources. Taurus risings learn to balance financial stability with flexibility, allowing for growth in both material and relational realms.
Mars in the 3rd House (Cancer): Communication is intense and transformative, with partners who bring emotional depth to conversations. This placement encourages Taurus risings to confront vulnerability in dialogue, pushing them to express hidden feelings openly.
Mars in the 4th House (Leo): Relationships bring powerful connections to home and family, drawing partners with strong roots or intense family ties. Partners encourage Taurus risings to examine and transform deep-rooted emotional patterns from their family environment.
Mars in the 5th House (Virgo): Love is passionate and sometimes dramatic, with partners who inspire creativity and self-expression. Relationships challenge Taurus risings to take emotional risks, moving beyond comfort and embracing intensity in romance.
Mars in the 6th House (Libra): Partnerships may focus on daily routines and mutual support, with partners who are practical and dedicated. This placement teaches Taurus risings the value of commitment in everyday life, bringing purpose and depth to routine interactions.
Mars in the 7th House (Scorpio): Relationships are deeply transformative, with partners embodying intensity, passion, and emotional honesty. Taurus risings are encouraged to embrace vulnerability and explore the depths of their emotional landscape through these connections.
Mars in the 8th House (Sagittarius): Partnerships revolve around shared resources, intimacy, and transformative experiences. Partners encourage Taurus risings to explore the unknown, fostering growth through deep trust and emotional exploration.
Mars in the 9th House (Capricorn): Relationships bring expansion and higher understanding, with partners who value personal growth and exploration. Taurus risings are pushed to broaden their perspectives and embrace transformation through new beliefs and ideals.
Mars in the 10th House (Aquarius): Partnerships are connected to public life and career, with ambitious partners who challenge traditional roles. Relationships inspire Taurus risings to pursue their goals with drive and to balance personal ambitions with relational commitments.
Mars in the 11th House (Pisces): Relationships often have a social or friendship-based dynamic, with partners who share ideals and dreams. Partners push Taurus risings to embrace both independence and emotional depth within social and group settings.
Mars in the 12th House (Aries): Relationships are infused with compassion, mystery, or spiritual themes, often drawing introspective partners. Partners inspire Taurus risings to explore subconscious fears and hidden desires, leading to healing and personal transformation.
𝐆𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐢 𝐀𝐬𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐧𝐭, 𝐒𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐮𝐬 𝐃𝐞𝐬𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐧𝐭

With Pisces rising and Virgo on the seventh house cusp, relationships serve as a mirror for Pisces’ unexamined potential for practicality, discernment, and commitment to service. Pisces, ruled by Jupiter in Vedic astrology, is compassionate, intuitive, and often idealistic, with a natural focus on spirituality, empathy, and creativity. With Virgo, ruled by Mercury, governing the seventh house, Pisces risings are drawn to partners who embody qualities such as reliability, analytical thinking, and groundedness. These Virgoan traits provide a counterbalance to Pisces’ flowing, sometimes elusive nature, appearing as qualities to admire in others but that may feel challenging to fully integrate within themselves.
For instance, a Pisces rising may feel that their partner is “too critical” or “too focused on details,” seeing them as practical but sometimes rigid. In reality, these qualities reflect Pisces’ own potential for focus, organization, and thoughtful planning. Relationships with Virgo on the descendant encourage Pisces risings to develop discernment, appreciate routines, and engage in purposeful action. Through these partnerships, Pisces risings learn to balance their natural empathy with Virgo’s clarity and attention to detail, fostering healthier, more stable connections.
Mercury through the Houses (ruler of Virgo):
Mercury in the 1st House (Pisces): Relationships significantly influence self-image, attracting thoughtful, supportive partners who help Pisces risings ground their ideals in practical actions. Partners encourage a balance between intuition and logic, enhancing their self-expression with focus and clarity.
Mercury in the 2nd House (Aries): Partnerships emphasize shared values and security, drawing independent, assertive partners who value both personal growth and financial stability. Relationships teach Pisces risings to appreciate stability and assertiveness, helping them set boundaries and recognize their self-worth.
Mercury in the 3rd House (Taurus): Communication is practical and steady, with partners who bring groundedness and patience to discussions. These partnerships encourage Pisces risings to embrace reliability in communication, creating a thoughtful approach to relationships.
Mercury in the 4th House (Gemini): Love centers around home and family, often drawing communicative, adaptable partners. Pisces risings find intellectual connection at home, learning to balance emotional depth with open, flexible communication.
Mercury in the 5th House (Cancer): Romance is nurturing and creative, attracting sensitive, emotionally aware partners. Relationships encourage Pisces risings to embrace both the joyful and serious sides of love, balancing creativity with emotional grounding.
Mercury in the 6th House (Leo): Partnerships often focus on shared responsibilities, with partners who are reliable yet expressive. Pisces risings learn to balance self-expression with duty in daily life, creating relationships that are both supportive and inspiring.
Mercury in the 7th House (Virgo): Relationships are practical and service-oriented, with partners who embody discernment, reliability, and humility. Pisces risings are drawn to stable, down-to-earth connections that help them bring structure and purpose to their lives.
Mercury in the 8th House (Libra): Relationships are transformative and focused on emotional depth, drawing partners who value balance, intimacy, and fairness. Pisces risings learn to explore their own depths, finding harmony in trust and shared resources.
Mercury in the 9th House (Scorpio): Partnerships bring exploration and growth, with partners who are deeply insightful and philosophical. Relationships inspire Pisces risings to expand their worldviews, merging idealism with depth in love and learning.
Mercury in the 10th House (Sagittarius): Relationships may connect to public life or career, attracting ambitious, growth-oriented partners. Pisces risings find a balance between personal goals and relational commitments, fostering growth in both professional and personal life.
Mercury in the 11th House (Capricorn): Friendships and shared goals are central to relationships, with partners who value loyalty, stability, and long-term vision. Pisces risings are encouraged to cultivate mutual ambitions, finding strength in shared ideals and community.
Mercury in the 12th House (Aquarius): Relationships bring introspection and spiritual growth, attracting reflective, humanitarian partners. Pisces risings explore inner fears and spiritual dimensions of love, fostering compassion and emotional healing.

Btw, just two days ago Miller has let it slip through that the USA never wanted to reach a diplomatic solution with Hamas.
MR MILLER: So every conflict is different, but if you look at what we continue to engage with Israel about when it comes to Lebanon, it is ensuring that they have the ability to attack terrorist targets, terrorist infrastructure, a terrorist organization. But ultimately we want to see a diplomatic resolution.
QUESTION: Well, was that the case with Rafah, for instance? Not just in Rafah, but —
MR MILLER: We’ve – we’ve never – hold on. We’ve never wanted to see a diplomatic resolution with Hamas.
[...]
QUESTION: Okay, but so, for instance, other UN satellite image shows that 66 percent of Gaza structures have been damaged, and you earlier today said that the U.S. supports the targeting of terrorist infrastructure, not civilian infrastructure. Does the US believe 66 percent of Gaza’s buildings are terrorist infrastructure?
MR MILLER: Absolutely not – absolutely not, which is why we have been engaged to try to reach a ceasefire to end that conflict, which is why we have been pushing for a ceasefire for months. And I wish that Hamas would come to the table and work with us on a ceasefire. As you saw – as you heard me saying earlier, Hamas has been absent for weeks, won’t even respond to the mediators putting forward ideas asking whether they would agree to a ceasefire or not.

Firstly - Yes, it is a necessary part of the struggle against the genocide to engage in protests, boycotts, 'awareness raising' and 'holding accountable', etc. That being said, however, it does absolutely nothing on its own, and far too many people are being far too proud of themselves for an outsized belief in their action.
These things - peaceful protests, boycotts against brands, letters to senators, literally posting - do nothing whatsoever to impact the pace of the genocide being carried out. They have not slowed the advance of Merkava tanks or the flights of F-35s by even a minute. They are effective if and only if they are carried out in conjunction with and support of actual direct action against the war machine. Work stoppages at ports, blockades of weapons manufacturers, these are the bare minimum of actual opposition to the genocide. Further action, like solidarity strikes in the states providing diplomatic and military support for the occupation, general unrest, etc, are sorely needed - and, ultimately, are the only things to be done not premised on appealing to the good conscience of those committing genocide. Your governments do not care what you think of them, they care if you stop working - and they will only stop sending weapons if you physically stop them.
It feels like 2020 taught a lot of people nothing. Massive protests, unthinkable levels of outrage - even met with apparently cowing of the state, overwhelmed with public opposition to their policies. Ultimately, none of the movement's goals survived, and the gestures (which is all that were gotten) faded. Roads were renamed and painted back over. Cops still kill people exactly as much. They know exactly how much you oppose it, they always have. Telling them isn't going to do anything, because it's not news. They don't act this way because they're misguided or have wrong ideas, they do it because it's profitable and in their material interests. The only way to make them act differently is to make them act differently. Either directly, by blocking their actions, or indirectly, by making the endeavour too costly through strikes and other leveraging of the fact that we, as workers, produce all their wealth. Each dollar going to buy IDF missiles ultimately comes from you. You want to stop it? Organise and strike. Physically block weapons movements. Yes, propagandise, talk about it, but for the love of god, don't trick yourself into believing that's the end of it.
The Palestinian resistance isn't limiting themselves to posting and raising awareness. They know that those committing genocide are plenty aware of what they're doing. No, the resistance is taking up arms. They would kill the soldiers of your country if they came across them defending the occupation, and they'd be right to do so. The soldiers of your country would kill you for striking. There is only one war, here.
