Hello! I am doing this anon because I am filled with fear.

I just reread the entirety of “the abbey tales” (started it in like, November of 2023 and have been keeping up with it occasionally since) and holy fuck girlfriend keep that shit going I’m rabid for it. I literally graduated college since I started reading it and am still holding it in my mouth and shaking my head like a dog. I remade my tumblr account specifically to follow you. I don’t even remember if this is how asks work ngl.

Anyways you’re scarily good at making shit I want to read. Would love to consume you in a casual way. Considering picking up arcane specifically because you write for it. Maybe you should like, publish a book or something.

Thanks for sharing your creations with us, it’s genuinely brought me a lot of joy throughout the year + I’ve been reading them.

I was, once again, at the beach when I read this message and I swear, even if it took me a long time to reply, I didn't stop yapping about it for a single second.

First of all, congratulations, and I have to reveal something... me too. I used to write the chapters of HUITS sitting at the café at 7 in the morning, while waiting for the time to catch the tram and go to class. Anytime It Rains, the Arcane one, was written while I was graduating, and I would occasionally post updates here like "Hey! if I don’t post for a week it’s because I’m getting my degree."

Sometimes in the reviews of my stories, I still see the same people who were there since chapter one, and I can’t act normal about it. My writing has changed a lot, the characters have found their rhythm, and the Abbey itself has become a more and more solid structure. I even considered recreating it in The Sims and taking some screenshots. Lately, I’ve been thinking about doing a few simple pages of drawings with the Sisters, who by now have also become iconic characters. Knowing that alongside me, my story, and my characters, the readers have grown too, it makes me vibrate.

It made me smile a bit that you even considered picking up Arcane. You’d never imagine what kind of story it is (or maybe you would, because yes, that one also has a medical background lol. I like it, folks, I don’t know what to say in my defense). But if you do read it, I hope you’ll enjoy both Arcane and, eventually, my fanfiction.

I hope you’ll keep following what I write, but I also hope you’ll keep following your dreams. Thank you for letting me be, every now and then, a part of your journey. <3

Here I am, I was at the beach when I saw both messages in real time. I think I’ll go back to writing headcanons as soon as I break free from the curse of Twitter, where I feel like I have to post every day, and once my hyperfixation on my own fanfiction calms down a bit haha. ׂ╰┈➤ Anytime It Rains (Arcane fanfiction): It’s on a brief hiatus, not because I don’t want to continue it or because I’m out of ideas, but because I have so many projects going on right now. Every chapter ends up being over 20 pages, so when I work on that fic, I have to dedicate over a week just to writing, and almost another one just to correct it. That said, I’d really like to post a new chapter sometime between August and September.

ׂ╰┈➤ Ghost fanart: I had started a small series of Leyendecker-style posters of the Skeleta ghouls but pretty much stopped after the first one. I’ll probably pick it back up, but I have no idea how to interpret the hair in that style, so it’ll take some time. Aside from that, I’m working on two medieval-style prints, and I’d love to make some “character sheets” of a few ghouls and a few Sisters of Sin... but that’s all up in the air. (I just really want to show you how beautiful Sister Laura is: it’s pure propaganda.)

ׂ╰┈➤ The Abbey Tales (Close to Midnight): The story is up to date with the current lore. I’ve been slow in posting the chapter because, on top of being on vacation, I decided to write two chapters together instead of editing the first one right away. It’s coming soon, though, with fanart from my brave beta reader. Also, I had hoped to wrap up CTM before the tour started (story-wise, not real tour timing) and begin a third part for the tour, including all the chaos that’s happened while keeping the storyline from the first two parts. I’m not sure if it’s a good idea in terms of visibility or overall plot, but I’ll keep thinking about it until it’s too late.

ׂ╰┈➤ collecting: I received the second Phantom's pick from this tour yesterday, and I’m a bit exasperated because the person who’s supposed to give me two more just keeps flirting: it’s been a month, and it’s driving me nuts. I’d love to post something collection-related: photos, the story of how I got a piece, explain how things worked that specific year and what the lineup was, but I also want to wait until I have those two or three picks from that guy in hand before I dive into it. On the bright side, I did receive three others this week!

I'm not bringing Twitter drama here, but today, for the first time, someone targeted collectors. So, as a collector, let me say this: we are literally proof that this fandom is just looking for reasons to start drama.

We don’t interact (as collectors, of course) with the rest of the fandom, we only do so among ourselves, in private or designated spaces, tagging our posts. Not that there’s anything wrong with posting your collection: quite the opposite. I’m one of the loudest collectors I’ve ever seen: I post, I talk about my memorabilia, and I share stories about them. But the average collector, if they do show their items, usually does it on their IG profile, and talks about other things on other social platforms.

Moreover, as exaggerated as it may sound, collectors are a walking archive for some artists. I collect picks and vinyls (even though I own rarer items) and I help people avoid getting scammed. When people, especially newcomers, have questions, I’m usually one of the first to reply to clear up any doubts, and sometimes I help folks who don’t know where to start get into it.

This happens especially with items like the Mummy Dust, which are influenced by the lore, or with picks, which have different stories depending on the era, like the Little Ghouls, which were handed out to kids as gifts. It also applies to vinyl reprints or rare pieces that are part of the band’s history: things not everyone knows about but some people genuinely care for.

I was one of the first to literally get shoved to the ground by people trying to snatch picks, and that’s also why I’m telling you this experience can be awful. But seriously, deciding to target collectors is just ridiculous.

Granted, it might sound hypocritical since I’m making this post, but honestly none of us really care that much about the drama, given how much time and money we pour into our hobby. What is terrible is that we’re being used as scapegoats instead of addressing the real issue: rude and aggressive people at shows. That’s an actual important topic. And I say this as someone with a disability that affects my legs who was literally shoved forcefully by three men in the pit just because they were bored.

If you’ve made it this far, I swear I’m a chill person. If you want info, help identifying picks, or just want to show your collection, feel free to contact me or tag me in posts. It’s my little hobby, and I genuinely enjoy it.

Close to midnight -chapter 5

I’m back after four months, so here’s a quick recap:

Close to Midnight is the sequel to Hide Us in the Shadows, but it can be read on its own (there are some references to the first story, but they’re not essential).

It’s been almost exactly two years since I published the first chapter of HUITS, so the writing style and length have changed a lot,, but that’s just a personal side note.

CTM is written following the current Ghost lore, so starting from the end of chapter 5, there will be references to Perpetua, and the story will cover both him and the tours.

I don’t believe in happiness, so the fic occasionally includes graphic content, as well as various types of medical procedures

Ritual (Milan)

Here I am! I attended the ritual on May 4th in Milan and came out victorious (standing and on my own two feet). I bought a ticket for the pit and queued up from 5:00 a.m. Some of my friends even slept there, bringing small tents. During the concert, I started farther back than those who arrived between 8–10 a.m. because people were pushing, so the arrival time doesn’t guarantee spots. But by the end of the show, I was right in front of the central platform, just two people away from Perpetua—so just know that the pit works in magical and mysterious ways.

1) The concert curtain took FOREVER to drop—it opens with Peacefield and everyone expected it to fall right after the chorus, but it actually dropped at "This is what dreams are made of". But honestly, it was totally worth the wait.

2) During the ritual, three big guys started moshing—which wasn’t really moshing, it was more like pushing girls who were short, nearly knocking us over. For those who are new or didn’t know, I have EDHS in my legs, so I was terrified they’d knock me down. But before things escalated, during Year Zero, Perpetua pointed at them and said: “No. Cut it.”

3) Perpetua has a tail. During Majesty, he's on a huge platform and, atm he is talking a bit more. Be ready.

For those who love the ghouls:

4) Majesty, if you love Rain, is incredible. Rain was front and center, not shy at all, covered the whole stage, and is totally in his Eldritch horror era. He’s huge—being decently close to him is a real experience. He has the full feminine mask, a flowing veil, and moves in this twisted, unsettling way (when he is central).

5) Dewdrop is already moving much more. At one point Perpetua himself says the “little man is a little bit injured” and the ghoul shows off his cast, but he’s clearly recovering.

6) Phantom is a jerk—my only thought from start to finish. I feared he’d fall over at least 7 times, but he interacts with the audience the most. If Rain is an Eldritch horror, Phantom is a lowercase “l”: very compact, tilts his head a lot like he’s investigating, but stays very composed.

7) Mountain is more visible now—not all the way in the back—and gets screen time without a problem.

8) The ghoulettes are spectacular—you can see them, they move around, and they’re far from invisible. Even in the official photos, they get absolutely insane shots.

Finally, my little confession is that since I was up front, I had my embarassing moment with Perpetua himself—because while everyone was watching him, one of the screens showed a close-up of Rain’s hands playing. And I was the only one looking to the left while everyone else was fighting to lean toward Papa. And he clearly noticed. He was right in front of me. In my defense, even the cameraman knew what he was doing.

After Copia’s rise to the Ministry, the archives were in shambles—completely neglected and left to their own devices, making the administrative side of things nearly impossible.

That’s why the Papa hires an archivist to help bring some order to an abbey with no proper records to speak of. And it would all be merely odd—if not for the day when, as the new employee is working and organizing the library, shadows begin to shift the course of their stay.

It’s been about a year since the events at the abbey, and by now, that chapter seems closed. And yet—without warning—the ghosts of the past return, bringing with them all the secrets of the Ministry. Soon, there’s not only a shift in leadership to face, but also the arrival of a new Papa to prepare for, all while trying to mend the damage done by those seemingly driven by pure hatred.

This story deals with heavier themes and language, includes graphic descriptions, and offers a less gentle perspective on “what people really think about the ghouls.”
