This isn't a way to replace or "fix" the problematic misrepresentation of DID that is key to Harvey Dent. It's more like proposing a new problem. Yeah, that's what I'm doing. I'm adding on a new problem. I think Harvey Dent should have the hemispheres of his brain disconnected. Maybe he had extremely debilitating seizures as a child and had it surgically done. Maybe it was some really, really specific ass brain trauma. Regardless, buddy's got no working corpus callosum to speak of. It just makes a sort of sense in a lot of ways to me. And plus it would tee up someone pointing out that, you know, it actually would be the uninjured side of his head that's controlling Two-Face's hand

Honestly, the implications of that are intriguing. The way the brain works is such a fascinating puzzle, especially the complexity of consciousness. Sorry going about to go off into just a bit of research tangent, but there was one thing that stood out to me. Seems like they are still working out what goes on and it's not consistent with every person. Apparently though, you can see stuff in your left visual field and react to it, but can't consciously acknowledge it because the right side brain doesn't process language. And mind's stuck on this one idea. Not exactly practical to set up, but for the sake of the story. He sees Bruce with the mask off, but only in the left visual field. So he knows but isn't aware. And he's about to hurt/kill him and his hand lets go, and he can't understand why.

I do wonder what if Adriel was right, and Reya is the evil one. Honestly... I wouldn't be surprised. I really wouldn't be. Maybe, it's the effect she has on people. And the way she has no issue using them for her means, in spite of what they want.

Still, I personally believe divinity is indeed complex in the WN universe, like Adriel said, making them both neither good nor evil. I'd imagine the Other Side may adhere to a different moral code than the Earth. Also, Reya sees a much bigger picture than those she pushes on paths they do not want.

I like to imagine her as the Mother God/Queen of Heaven archetype. She is wise, she is loving, she can be merciful, but she is ruthless, and she does what must be done. She is a protector, and a judge, as much as she is a nurturer. But before all, she is a ruler. Her sheer power makes her burden greater than anyone else's. If someone asked her why, she for sure would answer them like God answered Job.

Or, alternatively, both of them are bad news... Like mother, like son. Honestly, speaking of how Adriel and Reya could be compared to Satan and God, respect to the creators for taking the "all divinity is complicated, dangerous, and not what it's thought to be" path, and executing it so well, in spite of leaving us with so many questions. Which may be answered now!

I've had some time to collect my thoughts after a couple of days so here they are even though nobody asked.

I really loved the finale. It was devestating, no doubt, but I think this is their best one yet and I absolutely loved how they handled it. There was so much grieving in this episode, not just from Carlos, but from Owen and Judd as well. But despite everything they chose happiness and the wedding ending up being beautiful and bittersweet and joyful all at once.

There has been the question of deleted scenes but there's really only one we've seen so far that I would have loved to see in the episode. Other than that, I'm just glad we get to have them all as extras. I don't think the wedding needed them though.

Another thing I'd like to add is that yes, sometimes storylines can feel rushed in shows where you have a lot of characters and especially if there are clear favorites within a fandom. There was a lot going on, but that doesn't necessarily mean any one character's storyline is less valuable than another's. I guess I'm speaking as less of a fandom member and just more as an enjoyer of the show if that makes any sense. I love all of the characters in this show, and while I would be lying if I said I liked every single storyline, that doesn't mean I wish they didn't happen. In this case, however, I loved all of the storylines and I think they all made sense together given the theme of this episode. I personally don't think any of them shouldn't have been there in favor of getting more wedding content.

Honestly, my only regret is not getting off of tumblr as soon as the final bts stuff started coming out. I'm pretty bad when it comes to guessing things so if I hadn't been aware of the theories I literally would have had no idea and it would have hit me so much harder. It still got me pretty good though.

Again these are just my opinions so feel free to ignore everything I say if you didn't feel the same. I'm happy though, and I'm going to continue being incredibly annoying about this show. ♡
