Every time I draw Mario his anatomy is a little different, sorry 😭 (although the cartoonishly large hands were intentional here). I guess I’m still figuring out how to draw him because I’ve never been very good at drawing the bros. I also tried more intense shading because I thought it’d be funny (not sure if I did it correctly tho), other sketches will probably be a lot lighter on shading.

Also, I feel bad that I didn’t necessarily draw Mario strangling Beldam, didn’t know how to go about doing it. As an apology, here’s a Simpsons screenshot edit I made.

It's so weird that they change their names as "The Three Shadows" instead of keeping "The Shadow Sirens". But it DOES sound sinister to me at least.

I haven't beat the remake of Paper Mario The Thousand Year Door... yet. Right now I'm on Chapter 6 and I'm likely close to the final chapter. Now if you'll excuse me, I'll be playing the game right now.

ttyd theory with literally no evidence

i came up with this this morning while half-asleep so if it sucks don't judge me

by the way spoilers for chapter 4, a bit of 6 and almost every important plot point in the final chapter including the final boss

the three shadows also had their identities taken away at some point which is why they're just these unexplained purple shadow people (and why vivian is the chapter 4 partner besides her being trans contributing to the chapter's theme and all that), but they've since made new identities which gave them actual traits instead of just being silhouettes like what happened with mario, idk if they were related before the thing happened or if they're a found family type deal now but that doesn't really matter either way

doopliss hanging out with them is actually kinda fucked with this recontextualization and i find that really funny, identity stealer hanging out with the (sorta) identityless, which is probably why beldam is an asshole to him and doesn't even call him by his name, but idk maybe he wanted to help reverse their identity removal somehow or was just curious about how tf they created new identities and joining the team was a part of his investigation alongside getting revenge on mario (i say, knowing i'm just trying to make doopliss a good person in this scenario)

where this gets actually interesting is how the shadow queen seems to be the same species as the shadow trio, beldam & marilyn held allegiance to her and SQ knew them, so maybe when the old heroes were dealing with them they stripped their identities in an attempt to defeat them (which obviously didn't work lol), or their identities being stolen motivated them to do evil or something idk i could see that i would also want to kill the people who took my name but that might make the shadow queen too sympathetic of an antagonist lol

i feel like you can work the peach vessel stuff into this but i can't figure out how since it's not the doopliss-style identity steal, if anyone has any ideas let me know i feel like that could lead somewhere cool
