once again thinking about how hodgson ordered a massacre over irving's dead body. the horror in his eyes when it's proved that it wasn't the inuits. running to little for assurance and little providing it. how his great monologue isn't just about cannibalism - it's if i were a braver man i would kill mr. hickey. irving's murderer. the guilt in his eyes when crozier (and by extension, little) sees him on the hill (with hickey). the way he sits isolated in the mutineer camp. the way in that final fight - he's one of the three chained to the boat. anyway i'm completely normal as you can tell
