They laid them to rest in the outfits Mirabel had made. Fili, Kili and Thorin. They laid there, their outfits full of beautiful colorful embroidery that wove a unique tale of just who that dwarf had been.

It was truly a beautiful sight. But a sad one, especially when one considered the heartbroken and sobbing ten year old child who was there amongst the company. Her hair in traditional dwarven braids with beads and all, wearing leathers as they did with embroidery for each member of the company emblazoned upon it, and gold and jewels that had been a gift to her from the now dead King himself.

Truly if she were not so utterly human and even elvish in appearance then she would look every inch like that of a young dwarven princess. And yet she mourned, just as keenly as the rest of them if not more so. The rest of the company aside from perhaps Bilbo had been jaded from fighting and wars. They were used to death and losing those they loved to a violent end.

She was not yet so. They wished she had never felt this pain.

In each Dwarfs casket they had not just the embroidered outfits from their young human, but they each also held a cloth. A hanky as some would say. Each was personalized for them. Thorins being a golden yellow with his name and an oak tree embroidered upon it in brown. Kilis being red with his name and a bow upon it in green. Filis being green with his name and an arrow upon it in red. Matching as the twins did even in death.

The company thought it only fitting that they be buried with the precious gifts that they had been gifted by the young one. They each had their own...and they all...they all would carry it until their dying days. They had promised her they would treasure them forever. And they would.

Nearly a hundred years later in the Mines of Moria Mirabel and Gandalf stared. They stared at the beautiful hanky's clutched tightly in skeletal cobwebbed hands. They were older now and frayed and damaged from the fighting but they were obviously so well cared for.

"Ori, Oin and Balin...you've kept your word my friends...now just as you kept my memory alive...so too shall I keep yours alive." Mirabel promised their skeletal corpses as she recognized each hanky she had made.

She would break down later. Mourn and grieve her friends who had loved and cared for her in a way even her own blood family did not.

For now...now she would do as they had taught her. She would get the job done. She would get to somewhere safe...and only once they were safe for a moment could she allow herself a moment to grieve.

Bubble Girl being fish-like (fish qualities)?

ME PERSONALLY i always thought she was like freshly graduated never gave me the actual functioning grown women vibes, she acts childish, she apologized to a yakuza member when she manhandled him to the floor, that's a child your honor

Have some headcanons i have about her

-She can stay 16, we just cover up her chest - shes not as new as Mirio but she hasn't been here longer then Centipeder

-she's such a seasoned fighter Nighteye thought it just a great idea to have her on the team, she makes him laugh and they are genuinely friends.

-He met her one day and she was all frazzled out about not being able to be accepted by a agency cause she woke up late and missed a train and wah wah wah! - he simply told her "tell me a joke and if you can make me laugh you can work for me" - she made him laugh by being a girl failure and shes been on the team ever since.

-It wasn't necessarily about her making him laugh but the fact she was really trying hard when he asked that of her told him everything about her - she started crying when she thought he was never gonna laugh at her attempts at being funny

-Deku reminds Nighteye of Bubble girl alot and that's a small part of why he agreed to let Deku be here

-She skipped a grade at like middle school or something for one reason or another, that's why shes younger then Mirio but graduated from UA as a 3rd year she was younger then all her peers not sure how that works but it did, my cousin skipped a grade so it can happen - and like i said shes a seasoned fighter shes just out of sorts all the time

-She has a crush on Deku - who doesn't lol - she doesn't make it known at first but Deku kinda knew when he was there and didn't say anything cause he 1) didn't know what to say back and 2) he kinda friend-zoned her cause he didn't feel the same, he just met her lol poor thing

-She asked him out and he slowly avoided the question lol danced around it so he could get out of responding cause he didnt know what to say. She thinks about asking him again but she doesn't wanna be weird or push the issue like shes desperate

-Shes very jealous of Mirio being Nighteye's "golden boy" but she and Mirio have a very good friendship going. She has told him this many times thats shes jealous of him, she complains about it sometimes and she complains about it to Mirio "Can you kinda like, give me a chance to show you up?"

-Bubble girl and Mirio know Nighteye so well they be escaping when he's mad about stuff, Mirio will clock out and leave, Bubble girl will clock out and make the jump from the window to leave the building if hes mad

-Bubble girl and Mirio fight alot kinda, like Mirio is never really mad but they like "no you, it's your turn no you!" when neither want to do a task for Nighteye that's kinda weird/strange.

-Bubble girl gets put in the tickle machine more then anyone in this agency and quite honestly she is the only person who gets put in it Mirio once said "it was built for you"

-Centipeder patronizes Bubble girl when she acts like a child, she doesn't know when shes acting like a child she thinks this is her normal behavior and reactions to certain situations but she is a little childish

-When Nighteye gets injured he doesn't die but he retires cause he has a bad heart now and a hole in his chest and a robotic arm and he isn't stupid, Centipeder is the head of the agency it belongs to Nighteye and if he isn't so sure on what to do he asks him but ultimately he's kinda running the show now. He choose her to be his personal sidekick over Lemillion because shes more responsible then him

semantic error - classic, everyone knows it, despite me being lukewarm about it it has some moments that made me go WAOUUGGHH.....nice, low-stakes fun read but if u hate miscommunication u r gonna have a bad time. the art is Very good though.

concubine walkthrough - EVERYONE SHOULD READ THIS NOW!!!!! villainess transmigration story with chinese-style court politics, discussions about AI, VR, reality vs dream, and a plot twist at the end that makes you go AOUUGHGBGB!!!!! it made me ugly cry twice!!! READ IT NOW!!!!!!

lost in the cloud - currently ongoing, I stayed up till 7am reading this one. it starts off light and then hits u with The Trauma hammer and reveals its true colours (2 dudes dealing with The Horrors and being absolutely not normal about it). it deals with very heavy topics like bullying, SA, CSA, abusive parents, like these kids cannot catch a break. the characters are really well written and believable, their interactions are so raw and painful at times. I am obsessed. I need them to be happy or im going to cry. it really isn't for the faint of heart, I'm not one to be fazed by heavy topics in fiction but I felt so anxious during some chapters, like the way the scenes are depicted and drawn are so visceral. I also gotta say the art is BANGING.

dreaming of the dokkaebi (18+) - currently ongoing, VERY promising so far. I am a hoe for modern-day supernatural romance, especially when there's reincarnation shenanigans involved. there's a lot going on between the 2 leads and I love the incorporation of korean mythology and exorcism in the worldbuilding aouuggh...literally my cup of tea.

how to refuse the route - lighthearted low-stakes otome isekai where the protagonist is trying his absolute darnedest to NOT romance any of the characters (he is failing). It's pretty unserious fun, and I also love the ML in this one. pls give me more fucked up little guys. the story is starting to go in an interesting direction tho and I'm curious to see how it ends.

the guild member next door - very light unserious fun, basically what if ur online friend/crush that u met in a game is ur neighbour, but you never met irl so u don't know that?? it goes hard on the in-game mechanics and spends a lot of time building up the in-game friendship before starting to delve into the irl relationship. it's a slow burn and brother I am here for it.

netkama punch - this situation is something you'd read on aita reddit and think to yourself "there's something definitely wrong with both of you and I hope you don't involve anyone else in whatever the fuck is going on between you 2". it's so wacky and funny, definitely not one to take super seriously.

love in orbit (18+) - I originally read this bc there's a tall hot alien mommy in it, but the actual story is actually quite sweet. I also love the way the artist draws bodies in this one, for once the proportions don't make go "brother eughh". it's pretty light and low-stakes, but I was surprised by the discussions on loneliness and parental neglect/abuse that were a throughline in this series. the sex scenes are 🔥🔥

tears on a withered flower (18+) - still pretty early in serialization but I'm already so interested in where this is going homegirl needs to throw her entire husband out!!! an illustration of how an abusive relationship can wear a person down and eat away at them. seriously I hope she and her new man beat the shit out of her husband.

I find the way Akane inherited passive smoking from Kougami extremely comforting.At first I didn’t know it was because of Kougami.Then I listened to the radio drama Smoldering Traces.The perpetrator of the case,Toshio Murakami happened to smoke the same brand Kougami did.As soon as she smelled it on Murakami,Kougami appeared in her hallucination and told her she got this and she’s a great detective.That’s how she found the specific brand Kougami smoked.Before this case she couldn’t find the brand.After this case she started lighting them up.She goes on to mention how as soon as she lit the cigarette all her feelings of unease melted away.She even thanked Kougami for being there for her in her difficult times😭In their few months time together he made her feel safe and protected in a way no one ever had.Not to mention the validation and conviction.Obviously people will be on my ass for you know glorifying passive smoking but how can I not romanticise this when his smell was more comforting to her than any physical presence in her life?😫

Hi! I believe the second-hand smoke is such a tender way of showing Akane's draw to Kougami (in a similar way to how Kougami talks about Akane having the ability to draw amazing detectives to her), especially during the time that he was away. I wouldn't consider this as glorifying passive smoking. You're not encouraging anyone to take it up or misinforming people about the health risks, so I wouldn't worry about that.

I also want to note how comforting Kougami's smell is to Akane. There's a scene in the 1st movie where Akane's following Kougami through the temple and the smoke from his cigarette travels to Akane's face and she's just kinda unfazed and taking it in. It's especially interesting when you contrast this to a scene in SS Case 3 where Frederica approaches Kougami while he's smoking and fans away the smoke, bothered by the smell.

And I know we never got the scene of how he offered his bed to her, but I guarantee his smell and his residual cigarette smell were on those sheets and I would definitely pay extra to canonically know what was going through Akane's mind in that moment. Homegirl quite literally summoned his ass with those cigarettes back in Season 2 so it's very hard to overlook how important Kougami is to her and her growth as a character.

I hope they bring the second-hand smoke connection back up in later installments whether it's through Tomoyo (Kougami's mom) smelling it on Akane, or Kougami bringing up how she had a pack of the cigarettes on her, or (if we are alive long enough to be blessed with it) a post-coital cigarette smoking Kougami while Akane's there in bed and just being embraced by it.

The only reason why the pregnancy was so hard was because Bella is human, and her nudger was half-vampire and super strong. Meyer also wanted to draw associations with the historical dangers of pregnancy:

Meyer wasn’t even thinking about sex in the first place. She was thinking about the plight of pregnant women in a patriarchal world where women’s healthcare has been historically subpar.

I honestly do not agree with the fandom’s hatred with the pregnancy plot. Without it, we would just have Bella’s change into a vampire and her adjusting to vampire life. It wouldn’t be bad, per se, but it’s not great and interesting conflict, nor would it connect to the romance.

With the pregnancy arc, there are multiple barriers to Bella and Edward’s union in ways Bella simply changing into a vampire wouldn’t. For one thing, the threat of the Volturi becoming involved would still be on the table. With Vampire!Bella, they literally would have no excuse.

Edward was canonically not mad about the Bella/Jacob kiss in the mountain. Even through Bella’s idealized POV, we know exactly when Edward is chill and when he is NOT chill about the Bella/Jacob connection.

Edward was deliciously jealous/murderous in these three instances:

Jacob’s “I’d rather see you dead than a vampire”

Jacob forcing a kiss on Bella

Jacob warming up Bella in the tent

Yes, he was jealous/hurt over Bella’s choosing to kiss Jacob and liking it. But he did tell the truth when he told Jacob that he would accept it if Bella chose to kiss Jacob. Because that is exactly what he did, forgiving and not blaming Bella for it. When Bella wept over leaving Jacob, he held her in his arms for the whole night. He even worried whether Bella should really be with him after all and had to be persuaded otherwise by Bella.

Also, in Eclipse, Edward admits Bella becoming a vampire would be great for him, and that he would love Vampire!Bella. He just doesn’t think it’s the best option for her.

"Bella and Edward Would Not Last!!11!!!" Round ♾️ and Beyond

Bella went comatose for almost a week, and Edward went to the Volturi to kill himself. He admits he would have returned and was actually planning to. They lasted approximately six months apart from each other. Even after the wedding and Renesmee, they agreed to face the Volturi together, knowing they would probably die in the attempt. There is literally no way these two would ever break up, much less after 50 years of marriage.

As for the “boy mom” accusation, I think Bella's (slight and ultimately negligible) preference for a boy stems from:

1) Her parentification issues. A boy she wouldn’t have to take care of the same way she would a girl (see: patriarchy, misogyny, etc.) and

2) Her obsession with Edward. Bella wouldn’t want or have a child on her own...except, of course, if it was Edward’s child as well. Then she’d be happy as a clam, as Breaking Dawn amply proves. Hence, why when she imagines the child, it’s a boy with Edward's brown hair and green eyes. No duh.

What makes boy moms so creepy is that they channel love energies normally due to their husbands unto their boy children. Bella has proven that between going with Renesmee and staying with Edward to die via Volturi, she would choose the latter. And I don’t think that is something a change of sex would change.

Hilarious fanfic, bro. I liked the vampire-with-a-psych-degree, they were my favorite character.

So let’s put aside the fact that Bella and Edward apologize to each other a LOT throughout the series for all the shit they have done to each other (Edward leaving and Bella loving Jacob being the most egregious). Edward was begging for forgiveness half the time during the series and Bella straight up called herself a monster for refusing to let Jacob go. Let’s put that aside.

Bella staying pregnant just to feel “special”???? Not only is this non-canonical, it makes no sense. You don’t need to be on the brink of death to be turned into a vampire. Bella could have gotten the abortion and just went ahead with the original plan. Bella stayed pregnant because she wanted hers and Edward’s baby.

Also, Bella endangering Renesmee???? How? They were found by Irina, who jumped to conclusions! Bella made preparations to save Renesmee via fake papers and her going with Jacob. But I suppose since everything is Bella’s fault, Irina and the Volturi do not count.

Song: Literally no choice. He got yoinked off the street as a teeny kid after he tried to rob a noble by the noble's body guard, who decided to drop him off with the manor's wizards to teach him something useful. He's been a little terror to the wizards ever since (but he wouldn't ever turn down a free....ish lesson).

Talluri: She's a curious cat who wouldn't say no to a step up under the streets for her and Zaz, so when a rock and a hard place turned into an offer of "employment" from the head of one of the local gangs, she decided to level up on her natural sorcerer capabilities and learn some of the neat wizard tricks from the creepy fuck that always trails behind the gang leader like a shadow. So what if it comes with a life time contact?

5 -do they follow a higher power? what are their thoughts on divinity?

Song - More by proximity than anything. The Glass family has always been followers of the Triad, so he often accompanied Aldrin to the temples for prayer. As for Song's personal beliefs, he's been known to carry the symbol of Helm, even if his focus of duty is much more narrow. He'll fall back to any temple of the Triad gods or Helm just for the comfort of familiarity.

Talluri - Not much by way of personal beliefs. She figures if you draw the attention of the gods, that's more bad luck for you. She'd rather rely on her own capabilities than risk getting left in the lurch by a god who might not be listening.

15 - do they trust their party? why or why not?

Song - No - or maybe not yet. He doesn't know them well enough for that, what their motives really are, the clear signs that some of them have pasts - even presents - that might catch up with them and put his new mission focus at risk. He's lost most of what trust he has since he and his were so clearly betrayed, and he hasn't known or worked with these people nearly long enough to work up to that. However, each time they help each other in battle and joke around, his resolve to NOT trust them gets a little thinner.

Talluri - No <3 Trusting random strangers is how you get killed fast, everyone knows that <3

35 - which party member do they worry for?

Song - He's got a soft spot for Bo - capable though she may be, he doesn't want to see her cheer crushed by the world.

Talluri - Honestly I don't think she gives much of a shit about the rest of the party's well being enough to worry about them. Sure she'll watch their backs if it'll help keep her alive and moving, and they sure are an interesting bunch, but worry? She doesn't have enough to spare at the moment.

Song - Forget me nots. He hung out with Sasha in the library and helped her look up flower meanings when she was obsessing over what to make for Ana when she was courting her, and these caught his eye. He's a sap, really.
