This fanart had me thinking about Gabby walking between them and holding their hands, happily looking at all the decorations and stands with handmade items. She probably got so excited when Dulzura got her makeup done in purple, and even more so when Dulzura revealed it was in her honor. And of course, Dulzura trying to buy her a bow in her fav color - I can see her being so touched by the kind gesture and later wearing it when it was placed on the ofrenda🥺 I also thought about her laughing when she saw her dad's reaction when Dulzura gave him the new nickname 🤣 she was probably giggling and poked his cheek with a, "you're blushing, daddy!" I swear if she was alive, she'd be in cahoots with Lyla to get these fools in love together!!

the more i parse clips from tender dracula the more i find myself baffled and fascinated by whatever the movie is trying to say to me. just what was the director cooking

It was a nice day, as far as Hell's standards went, and was perfect timing for Alastor to slip away from the Hotel for awhile to run some much needed errands. He wanted to go to the market specifically, seeing if he could find some smuggled ingredients the stands usual sold from the mortal world. It was easy to haggle, being the Radio Demon, and he enjoyed the hustle and chaotic bustle of the market itself. It was a nostalgic feeling from when he was alive.

Poking around through the crowd (whom most kept their distance from him), and leisurely looking around the stands, it was becoming a little disappointing that he wasn't having any luck with anything fresh or worth his while. What a shame.

A particular stand, however, housed livestock and various hell-creatures and critters in cages and tanks. Not remembering that last year, Alastor eyeballed it, loitering around until he passed by a large enclosure in particular of baby helligators.

One in particular lifted it's head to stare at him with large orange orbs, the dark slit dilating as it studied him. It opened It's mouth in almost a grin, flashing it's rather white teeth. Was it....smiling at him?

Now Alastor wasn't one for pets, he was never allowed them when he was alive, so he never felt the urge to...own one, save for his souls, he supposed. But he found himself.....not able to resist this one in particular.

Consequences be damned, he was going to take this creature home with him. He had the habitat, technically, and it would be easy to hide.....sort of. So the Radio Demon haggled and threatened, and once he had the helligator in his arms, he ripped the annoying stand owner's arm clean off to give to her as a snack, which was gladly accepted.

"Look. At. You. Goodness! What a lovely smile, my dear! I think I'll call you Pearl. Because of those wonderful teeth you have there.~"

As he left the screaming and carnage behind him, he wondered how he was going to get her past Charlie....but in the meantime, the little gator rumbled contently against his shoulder, happy to be away from the terrible living conditions.
