The way this still is giving me S1 Devon on the rollercoaster vibes - and if that is what we are getting then I am very intrigued and excited - because Buck struggled to deal with that loss - his first on the job - which parallels a bit with losing Eddie now and Buck struggling with that. But what I’m most excited by about if this is a parallel to that - is that Buck went to therapy - and ended up having sex with her (she took advantage of him but that’s not the thing here) - ill advised sex - sex that did not actually help him at all in dealing with his feelings.

But you know what did - talking to Abby on the phone - and you know who he can only talk to by phone (or video call) right now?!!

crazy how the sanshee plush is one of the few actual direct confirmations on what a non-act 2 Natsuki’s home life is like because of how cagey she is on literally everything. other department leads dogpiled my boss in a leader meeting to say our department is ~untrustworthy~ by citing 1 legitimate mistake we made so I'm going through records and listing all the recent shit these guys have done that is flagrantly not allowed and also checking their internal communications jira to note any issues they were fully aware of but chose not to communicate to us so they could hide their mistakes rather than resolving them. die.

quick summary of stage door:

i think everyone was surprised that reece & steve did stage door tonight! very glad i brought A HOUSE DIVIDED with me - got both that and the poster (that i bought for my friend J) signed!! and again slightly proud of myself for keeping it together 😬

i clocked that reece wasn't wearing the CAT bag, but the guy (minder? protector?) was?? what??? (why am i STILL obsessed with this btw)

we also backtracked and met gaby & bhav! gaby seemed like she wanted to go and i hesitated on speaking to her. bhav was basically right next to me so i got him to sign A HOUSE DIVIDED. when he saw what it was, he looked at me and said "this is great, have you read this?" and i said "yes i have!" (also the pen i brought stopped working, but the guy next to me kindly let me use his sharpie)

what was sad though, was watching the posters around the theatre get taken down!! i feel bad for not taking a pic of the steve one!!!

i'm sure i've left something out so hopefully i can remember tomorrow. i have most notes on the matinee written down but only half of the last show - so will clean those up and post tomorrow! as usual none of it will be original 😅 and the former will def be a collab with @somuchwatersoclosetohome!!

So uh... Immediately after Wrestle Kingdom, the big show that brings in both new and lapsed NJPW fans, and Wrestle Dynasty, the AEW crossover show that was intended to bring new overseas fans to NJPW... New Japan management decided to take the only commentary staff member who speaks any Japanese at all off commentary for two months? So the only remaining English language commentator will just not have any clue what anybody is saying during the entire show? Right when a large influx of new English speaking fans is expected? And they're doing all this just as Kidani, who owns NJPW's parent company, was complaining to Tokyo Sports about how NJPW isn't getting enough overseas fans? Have I got that right?

One more prompto thought before I am dragged by the ankle into studying for a test- For the fact that this one's pretty angsty and deals with (canon) near character death, it's going below the cut

during the opening of EP Prompto, he collapses in the snow and as he fades out, sees three MTs come from a drop ship and crowd around him wowee what a specific number of people to find our dear exhausted prompto. Yanno- I bet he cant possibly imagine Anyone Else in their places. I bet one could never headcanon him hallucinating just a touch from the exhaustion and the cold. I bet it would be impossible to imagine him thinking about his friends- former friends- coming back, coming to find him, actually managing to locate him in the wind and the snow. Thinking about how he wants this to be his rescue and not his doom. Thinking about how even if it was the guys- would it even be his rescue? or would they be a fate twice as bad as the MTs hes faced with now?
