I love shuro as a neurodivergent person because I relate to him a lot more than all the other types of neurodivergecy on display in the show tbh. like. stop calling him 'the only neurotypical one' or whatever this man is the kind of guy who grew up and he realised that something was weird or socially unacceptable about his behaviour and he tried to mask it so hard and try so hard to be normal that he starts to resent the neurodivergent people who *don't* do that or not even understand that they are acting in a socially 'unacceptable' way and he both is jealous of them being who they are and also kinda siding against them with the 'normal' people so he can feel seen as more normal and usually he ends up being friends with the more neurodivergent people because it's a lot easier for him to make friends there but his self-imposed masking and his wish to be seen as 'normal' by the 'normal' people kinda make him resent his friends in a way because THEY aren't trying to hold up to the same standard of 'normality' as he does
DEE IN THE DOOR WAY OF YOUR LATEST MAC AND DENNIS ART DUMP IS FUCKING SENDING ME LMAOOOOOO
I already replied this to a comment on instagram but i don't think i'll write anything more cohesive about my thoughts on deandra 'doorway haunter' reynolds: she is serving carrie white with a side of regina george after she got hit by that bus. haunting the doorway while her loser brother is hanging out with his loser friend, making fun of old skin mags they found. it's not like she wants to be part of that, but she would have loved to shoot the invitation down.
I really wanted to table at my schools Artist con but then found out that they already sent emails out 😭 when I was on their interest form since spring,,
Bought and sold and traded so many fantastic zines this weekend and honestly my favourite interaction I had was with a very shy but very very determined kid who asked politely if I'd like to trade them one of my angry political transgender poems for some drawings they did in class. I will treasure it forever it was so cute this kid has such a fun scrappy art style and I look forward to seeing them at future zine fairs with more little drawings. Weird queer accessible inclusive art fairs you have my heart always and forever 💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖
Sylvia: I have an idea, if Keith is cool with it, where Cori is just, like, grilling Eclectic about details from the Alise Breka novel about Leap. Like:
(as Cori): Is this true? Is he really like this? Is this what happened?
Keith (as Eclectic): Uh, yeah, it’s actually toned down from the book.
i think there was some other stuff that happened that episode but i just thought this bit was nice. they're funny : )
I’m generally wary of any YouTube videos that discuss published reylo fanfiction (and the ship in general) because of how often people use mockery of it to get clicks and attention on any platform. Deriding the reylo shipping base is a pretty straightforward way to get clicks, which makes it very pleasant to see videos that thoughtfully engage with the fandom and don’t reach for low hanging fruit.
However, it’s always double edged sword because even if the creator is respectful and willing to engage, you can be assured that the commenters will do the opposite of that. They’ll use the typical talking points from 2016, misremember what happened in the films, spread misinformation etc. But I can at least be satisfied that there are some YouTubers out there who can examine the fandom without defaulting to cheap jokes.
the part of the storm over cruciat confrontation where clem lets slip in her anger “you were quite happy to make this fucking- make this fucking boat disappear. you waved your hands, the boat disappeared- as soon as- as soon as i stop being useful to you, i- who took this fucking vessel for you?” makes me so 😵💫 thinking about it being reflected in crysanth’s “in death she could be something she never was in life: useful.” attitude that she was reared by and has never stopped not only attempting to emulate but attempting to surpass… the way she treated the rapid evening and now the witch treats figure in bismuth and likely more resurrected residents of the crown of glass…. her ass is not breaking that cycle!!! the wheel turns!!!!
and listen. the thing about the military camp reveal to tori.
sudden death was, in fact, already a story about ''unaware rich kid is faced with the atrocities his family has committed and it helps him become more down-to-earth''. which is great, tsukasa Really needed that
but tori isn't that unaware, and hasn't been for a while. and telling him now, in !! era, would have been kinda kicking him while he's down. another hit on top of (insert atlantis opening sequence). it would have just made him even more depressed. tori has to become stronger, so that it motivates him to work to close that facility, instead of piling up as another terrible happening, yet another thing that has been hidden from him
it was the conclusion of white brim, after all. for tori to become strong enough to withstand these kinds of blows and become stronger in the process. he is already that kind of character, who always gets back up after all...!
there are plenty for everybody. i'm not saving them for anything. if you eat them all, we can walk to the market together to find more, laughing the whole way there
