Loving the fact that even Alucard's relationship dynamics are the inverse of Dracula's.

On one end of the spectrum, Lisa was 90% of Dracula's impulse control. Meanwhile, Alucard is 90% of the Belmont Clan's impulse control whenever he is around.

Case 1) Vampire who's destructive impulses are controlled by a human lover.

Case 2) Uniquely psychotic human family who's impulses are largely controlled and directed by a half-vampire.

It lives in my head rent free.

Am I the only one who thinks that Alucard and Tera would kind of be a cute ship?

Let me explain!

Tera is a vampire now, and if she survives then she'll need someone else to teach her how to keep surviving.

She's the former group mom, and Alucard is the current group mom. It sounds silly, like a joke, but when you really consider it the two could relate to each other on a spiritual level. Alucard has spent almost his entire life protecting humanity, and Tera has spent the majority of her adult life either helping people as a speaker or protecting Maria as a mother. Both parties know a thing or two about crushing responsibility, and the weight that preserving the lives of others puts on a person.

Alucard is still mourning his polycule after centuries and this is pretty unhealthy, actually. A new flame might be just what he needs to finally remember what true peace and happiness are like, just as Sypha and Trevor would want him to.

People are going to hate me for this, and as a Disclaimer: yes, I know about the game lore. But Alucard getting with Maria just rubs me the wrong way, it's giving Twilight and I don't like it. A 40+ year-old woman is a much better match for a centuries-old dhampir than a 19-year-old, Tera has lived her life and carries much needed experience. Not that Alucard would ever knowingly take advantage of a power imbalance, but in my eyes no pairing between a 300-hundred-year-old and a 19-year-old could ever be healthy.

As long as no vampires or vampire hunters kill her, Tera is now immortal and Alucard won't have to lose her like he lost his human lovers.
