An underrated moment in The Super Smash Bros moment is when Luigi and Mario are under the effect of the super star, and their parents are watching from their apartment window. Their dad is simply shocked and ecstatic. But their mom? 

She had literal stars in her eyes. Those are her babies defending them and their neighborhood and kicking ass and the way she looks at them with pride and adoration just made my heart go that’s fucking adorable. She loves her sweet boys so much and equally. Just appreciate how Illumination was able to convey that without using any words.

Their mom is their biggest fan, and that’s precious to me.

I was watching a movie where Mario was alongside irl celebrities and he was animated while they were live action like Who Framed Roger Rabbit. The only celebrity I remember seeing was Elizabeth Banks, though.

Just saw D&D: Honor Among Thieves, some thoughts

 - Yes, perfect, this is exactly what I wanted from my D&D movie, complete ridiculousness taken 100% seriously. Perfect. No notes.

 - Watching Chris Pine be a charming little cringe-fail bard is amazing.

 - WHAT SANE MAN WOULD LEAVE A WOMAN LIKE HOLGA?! SHE’S LITERALLY PERFECT! THAT SOUNDS LIKE A YOU PROBLEM BUCKO! SHE’S LITERALLY FLAWLESS!

 - Head: Sofina evil.   Heart: Hrrgh, hot evil lady step on me.

 - Xenk Yendar is the purest force of good in the world and must be protected at all costs. Not that he needs it, but I’m sure he would graciously accept the sentiment.

 - Simon hit his insecurities right in the face. Now I just need me a way to do that too.

 - A beautiful and charming found-family dynamic that made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

 - STOP BULLYING THE FAT DRAGON! HE’S TRYING HIS BEST!

 - No Tarasque. Goddammit.

 - Ultimately, 8/10, needs more Drow and Tarasques.

Words fail me on how much I love this scene. I love Luigi coming in, giving his brother a simple “hey” and presenting the food he felt behind, wanting to make sure his big brother eats, then he tries to comfort and reassure his brother that their father’s words are false.

Then he listens to his brother’s feelings, being completely silent as Mario vents.

Then we have Mario being 100% vulnerable with Luigi because he knows he can be 100% vulnerable and is comfortable around his brother to be. Telling his little brother how small he feels and how upset/frustrating he feels about others never taking them seriously cuz this world just doesn’t understand them.

I love how Amy showing up after the credits looks like something out of a Super Smash Bros. Reveal trailer.

Also after watching a fan video someone put together, I totally will vouch for Kimiko Glenn to do Amy's voice in the next movie.

The one thing I like about the potential Peach and Mario romance/relationship is that Peach is the ruler of the Mushroom Kingdom. We see her work. We see her protect. We don’t see her get the sort of break down? Emotional weakness and vulnerability?

I think that’s what I’m aiming for. Peach is responsible for protecting everyone and for once, she has an equal to depend on. It must be very nice and relieving. I want some of that emotional vulnerability for her too. It’d be nice for Mario to pick her up when she’s down.

I don’t know how far they’re gonna go. They’ve never gone far in the games, but a movie is an entirely different medium. Who knows? Maybe it’ll stick with the ambiguous romance. I don’t mind. I’ve got headcanons.

I was in a hedge maze with the Mario cast and they were performing a ritual to become freaky flesh things. Most of them left to kill an old man who interrupted them, and I was left with Luigi and Daisy who were screaming in horror and pain at what was happening.

So, how's the Mansion taking the news about the Minecraft movie?

Mario: ...Where's Steve?

Luigi: Creative mode. It's where he goes to escape his problems.

Mario: And Alex?

Peach: Drunk off her ass, relieved that she's not in this movie.

Mario: Leroy the Enderman? Carl the Creeper?

Bowser: In Travis' magical Hammer-Space dumpster.

Mario: Alright, then Steve's the biggest problem. All we need-

Luigi: He's remaking the movie. Already.

Mario: What?

Luigi: He's remaking the movie in Minecraft out of spite. We can't help him Mario.

Mario: ...No. My friend needs me right now.

Peach: Don't you think this is a little unfair? We haven't even seen the movie yet. Sure there's some bad visuals and it looks a little cringe, but it'll probably be just an average kids movie.

Mario: That's the problem.

Peach: ...what?

Mario: Minecraft is about endless creativity. Endless potential. The ability to do, make, and build anything so long as you have the drive and passion. So long as you have the love to make it. A soulless corporate cash-grab vessel of mediocrity? That's about the worst thing a Minecraft movie could be.

Peach: ...I understand. *hikes up her skirts and marches off* Let's go help out friends.

Bowser: FUCK YEAH!
