Angela When the camera pushes past Michael, while he's doing this talking head, you see Angela, Dwight, Pam, and Jim, and we are all laughing. And I am being very animated, way more animated than Angela Martin ever would. I'm clearly telling a story. And you know, Ken Kwapis told us it doesn't matter what we're saying back there. We're not gonna hear you So. we just really started chatting, and I don't know how this subject came up, but Rainn told us the story of how he had a tapeworm when he was a kid growing up in Nicaragua... He said he was walking down a road and his butt itched, I'm quoting Rainn. Rainn said this, his butt itched and he reached up to see what was going on, and he pulled a worm out of his butt. We were like, what?  It was such a random share. We all started laughing, but then I couldn't catch my breath. And I was laughing and laughing and you're like, lady, what's going on? And I said, my sister had a tape worm. And then we all started laughing. I mean, she's fine now you guys, but when we lived in Indonesia, she got this tapeworm and I told all of you this story. This is what's happening in the background. I said, here's the deal. It laid dormant in her body for years, and then one day it woke up. John couldn't take it. John could not take it. He was like, whatcha talking about at laid dormant. And then she started having like some stomach issues. Like it's like she couldn't eat enough, you know, because the tape worm was like eating her food.

Ratatouille would have been a better and potentially much more interesting story if Remy had partnered with Collette instead of Linguini. Two underdogs with talent and passion forced to maintain a dangerous ruse. Fiercely independent Collette giving up temporary control of her body to a creature who, despite the insanity of a rat wanting to cook professionally, she can relate to on a personal level and who she does want to teach. The inner conflict of wondering if Remy’s growing talents are eclipsing her own, if the praise their food is earning belongs more to him than to her. Her guilt over feeling resentment and jealousy towards this little guy who wouldn’t have a hope of realizing his talents if not for her trust and protection. Both of them unraveling the mystery of that sweet but bumbling kitchen boy with the obvious crush on Collette being Gusteau’s secret son, and working together to thwart the new evil owner’s plans to stop Linguini from claiming his birthright. The message of the movie not being this weird, almost smug “some people are born with talent, some people aren’t, and that’s how being a ~great artist~ works”, but something more like, “if you have a dream, you deserve to pursue it, and be supported and encouraged in your pursuit of it, even if other people tell you that, because of some intrinsic aspect of yourself or the circumstances you were born in (like being a human woman in the restaurant industry, or being a literal rat), you have no place pursuing this dream. Also, raw talent can only get you so far, and skill and passion existing in the right balance is key.” I’ve been thinking about this for seventeen years. I’m breaking my silence

Let's just be clear that "massively unpredictable viral success making an ungodly amount of money" does not equal "realistic and attainable benchmark" for almost any other indie dev.

I'm a lesbian and i see myself in media about bi women, also in media about gay/bi men. even if it's not Entirely made for me, it's still for me. and I know and hope that other gay/bi people are able to see parts of themselves in lesbian media. sorry to be cheesy but we are more similar than we are different and it's those experiences we share that draw us to these stories in the first place, and the reason we're even telling them <3
