That’s right! Now you have to meet them!

Luke Cyfer is the first of the Sins. He represents the sin of pride. Because he’s the first, he is the leader of the group. His special word is ‘Perfection’, like him…

Matt Muns is the second, representing the sin of Greed. Despite being the second, he is not the type to lead. He was the creator of the City’s currency which is called ‘Muns’. His special word is ‘Price’.

Levi Thann is number three. He is the dad of the group when Luke isn’t being a dad. He represents Envy, of course. He spits venom- with words or without. His special word is ‘Convert’, which is something he does quite often.

Samuel Tin is the fourth. He represents Wrath despite his long for a quiet day. Even though he gets angry easily, he wants to be nicer. Maybe his past has something to do with that. His special word is ‘Peace’- a future he strives for.

Alfonse Deux, the fifth who represents lust. He comes from two, so he can swap his gender. But that’s more like a disguise so he can get what he wants. There’s something sad lurking beneath the surface. His special word is ‘Truth’- it’s strange since he’s always lived a lie.

Ben Bubs takes the sixth place. He represents Gluttony, but that’s not hard to see. Everything about him is easy to find- in fact- he’s easy to find since he’s one of the tallest. His special word is ‘Quality’. From food, liquor, and drugs, to simply the quality of relationships…

Bertram Guro, the depressed one who is always last, is number seven. He represents Sloth. He never goes out of his comfort zone, trying to sleep and stay away from others because of this. He is commonly found lounging or looking for away to escape this “dream” of his. His special word is ‘comfort’- something he needs more of.

If you thought this was over, you would be wrong. Vaughn Naty, is not quite a sin. In fact he represents Vanity, which is just another word for pride. He considers himself the better between the two. His special word is ‘Visuals’ because he wants to be visually appealing.

Love how there are four main reasons why Lucifer is as avid a Demonus Connoisseur™ as we know him to be, and how all of them hurt to think about

There's the obvious, of course. All the seraphs go out drinking together. It's a little keepsake to his time as an angel, in a way. So Lucifer sits in his moonlit study down in the Devildom, only the shadows of leaves gently swaying in the wind keeping him company, pouring himself half a horn of the finest Demonus in his collection. All to honor those he once called his brothers and sisters as they fill up each other's cups and bask in the warm sunlight of the Celestial Realm

Ah, but he's not just drinking to mourn days lost to the past! He also has reason to celebrate every once in a while! Any small improvement to his and Satan's relationship is deserving of a generous reward, don't you think? See? That's a perfectly normal reason to treat yourself to a few more horns!

A couple of bottles into his system, and all the things that usually plague his mind seem so distant all of a sudden. It all turns into nothing but hazy fragments, and it's hard to piece it all back together. Although it's not like Lucifer would even want to in the first place, not when it finally makes all the things he craves to forget about slip from his mind. About the sister he failed to save. About the brothers he damned alongside him. And the crushing guilt that accompanies his every waking moment...

And then finally, there's this one glaring issue that everyone always seems to overlook when it comes to Lucifer—"his" Pride. That awful, wretched little sin, everpresent as it dictates his tone of voice, his every gesture, every word he utters, every single little facet of his personality. Lucifer—"Avatar" of Pride and the morning star himself—is nothing but a prisoner of his own mind, a mere puppet for "his" Pride to control

And so, he drinks. Drinks until even the cheapest bottles in his collection are empty. Not that it matters much to him, at least he can finally free himself from the constant pain and heartbreak that is looming over him, even if it's just for a handful of insignificant hours in this sheer endless torture that is his immortal life. After all, he can't drown in his sorrows as long as he keeps the Demonus flowing

By the time only one last bottle is left, Lucifer stares straight into the darkness of his study, his hair completely disheveled and tears cling to his face. He has long since collapsed on the ground as he brings the very last bottle of Demonus to his lips, not stopping until he has gulped down every last drop

Right now, the Avatar of Pride is nothing but a shadow of his former glory. But oh, is there a better escape from drowning in his sorrows than to keep this sweet, sweet Demonus flowing?

you mean to be telling me that it's an explicit point that rhinedottir is rarely in the proper state to do spells and write things like this. and of all the choices she had not to. she chooses to write it and places importance (read. it's established as the MOST IMPORTANT THING too.) in spending said-precious-time to write something with her friends commemorating andersdotter. hoyo i need youto stare me in the eyes and real the implications of rhinedottir expending what the other's are describing as her "precious little lucid time" to commemorate and make an ode to her dead friend HOYOPLEAS

I know I'm like, one game away from meeting him for real and I probably shouldn't be speculating on a character I don't know yet.

But I have been thinking about *Sin* recently... in terms of like, this kid has to be in near constant pain, right? It might be a little mitigated by him being part gear, but I can't imagine growing so fast wouldn't be excruciating... Especially since he'd be more human than gear (if that train of thought applies here-)

This kid is going through body horrors not previously conceived by my mind I'm gonna. Throw up on the carpet.

Day 2: Maglor of @feanorianweek

I do think Maglor mourned when Maedhros got himself captured, I just also read Maglor as a manipulative power hungry character.

He probably convinced himself that Maedhros had died and ignored everything that proved otherwise, both as a poor coping mechanism and, subconsciously, seizing the power of being a king, although he never named himself one as that would give him trouble. He differently enjoyed the power and mourned, when Maedhros came back, for the power loss. He was happy to have his brother back of course. I don´t think he spoke against Maedhros choice to give the kingship to Fingolfin, even if he wanted it himself, as he did except Fingolfin to do something stupid and get himself killed eventually, and by agreeing he seemed more "civil" and the friendliest of his brothers, which would end up giving him political power, giving people the illusion that he´s the innocent and harmless of his family.

actually it's kind of funny how people will say Alex's fatal flaw is that he 'doesn't ask for help' and that it's his determination to handle things on his own that leads to his deterioration and eventual death when his whole introduction to the present-day timeline was a very literal cry for help that simply went ignored

“Tch, neither am I!” He said quickly. “That doesn’t mean they have the right to do it. Cruel, sexist brat…”

Mahiru’s cheery tone wasn’t the best to soothe him, but that didn’t stop her from trying. “I think they’re doing their best for being in such a frightening situation themself. They’re probably afraid of us as murderers. Though… what makes them sexist?”

“All the men got hit in their interrogations!”

Mahiru flashed a reassuring, and completely oblivious, smile. “They didn’t hit you.”

Fuuta's ears went as red as his uniform belts.

He muttered, “that’s not important,” before raising his voice once more. “What really matters is that this stupid prison is making them drunk on power! Next trial, I swear I’m gonna…”

not another one of those bat-contingency plan posts going around again forgetting that tim explicitly disagreed with bruce on this subject and it was a major point of conflict for multiple arcs

and this is despite the fact this group has had multiple evil clone fakeouts, which is addressed a page before. this isn’t a “oh EVERYTHINGS canon at some point there’s 80 years of comics 🙃” this is specifically an aspect of tim’s character in the comics that people keep ignoring bc it doesn’t fit the archetype

the point of this kind of storyline is that everyone has different opinions about whether you’re crossing a boundary or taking a necessary caution or whatever, the point is to explore them. pretending every single bat agrees is unbelievably boring and treats the most nuanced collection of perspectives on crime fighting and do-gooding all crammed into one city in as a monolith
