Headcanon:

Jaune’s favorite movie would be the Shawshank Redemption because it speaks to him on a very personal level about maintaining hope in confinement and the indomitable human spirit, along with finally escaping and reclaiming some aspect of control over your life. I’d also imagine that he could connect to theme of institutionalization and struggling to readjust to life outside.

I do! All of these are assuming a world where they actually spend time together, whether that's as teens or somewhere down the line in canon after they reconnect or in an AU or whatever.

I believe they argue frequently and at length (but affectionately) about movie adaptations: Jason believes that all movie adaptations are by definition inferior to their source material, and Eddie is just sitting there spluttering "Jaws! Jurassic Park! The Shawshank Redemption! BAMBI!"

This is a platonic headcanon, but Eddie is absolutely the kind of friend who showers his best male friend with glowing over the top praise and affirmations. A lot of "Jason, light of my life, my soulmate, my one and only" and Jason's just deadpan like "yeah what." (Eddie could also be that kind of boyfriend if you ship them, I just think he would still do it if he had absolutely no romantic interest in Jason and they were both dating other people.)

Also this is very silly but because they are both characters who debuted in the 80s, I like to think they bonded over 80s music which is their favorite. Duran Duran, Madonna, Michael Jackson, lots of hair metal, etc. Jason Todd firmly believes that "Open Arms" by Journey is the most romantic song ever recorded and I don't know that he's wrong.

I feel like overtime as he grows closer to sole he would feel bad about the caps they first paid him, even when he gave them back after his personal quest. Then he would feel bad about all the (life-saving) favors they did. So he’d try to repay that back. I feel like his love language (either pre-romance or unromanced) would be gift giving. Not monetary wise but just random trinkets he found, snacks, ammo, etc.

I think that max affinity MacCready would move in with sole, regardless if he’s romanced or not because he has literally nowhere else except for that back room in goodneighbor. They would be bunk mates and he’d call top bunk almost immediately.

Danse has very dry humor, the reason why so many people within the brotherhood think he’s so humorless is because the joke flies right over their head.

Danse would also move in after BB because again, has nowhere to go and sole wants to keep an eye on him. Not that he’d mind. Would get annoyed with MacCready eating his food though. (Let’s pretend soles house in sanctuary has like 3 bedrooms instead of two)

I hate how people choose to ignore how soft Cait gets when sole gets max affinity. She’s so sweet in her own way.

Even unromanced, Cait’s max affinity with f!sole feels borderline homosexual (I’m a fan)

Thinking about how common messed up teeth would be because finding tooth brushes and tooth paste would be too much of a hassle, not to mention there’s barely anyone who can do wisdom teeth removal, not like most people could afford it anyway

Danse is touchstarved (who isn’t in the commonwealth) but him to the extreme. Hates touching other people or being touched. Most he’ll do is shoulder pats for when someone is going though any emotional moment. That’s IT. He’d only really warm up to affection through sole. He wouldn’t initiate and he’d be tense the first few times when sole does. He has to push through the discomfort because as uncomfortable as he is, he really does enjoy affection from sole.

His reluctance to initiate touch would get worse after BB because he feels like he doesn’t deserve it. He definitely needs it though. Hug him plz. He is a cuddlebug to his core. Sole has to initiate most the time but they can tell he likes it because he leans into it. (And he doesn’t tell them to stop) But he does get a lot more jealous when sole touches someone else in front of him.

Lowkey feel like LOWKEY THOUGH that Danse would go through jealousy and possessiveness issues after BB. It would be weird because he feels like sole would do better without him and deserves someone better BUT he also doesn’t want to lose them because they’re all he has left. Clingy in a subtle way and gets super anxious when they leave on missions without him.

When did this mostly become about danse 💀

Hancock is really well read. Has read lots of classic literature like Frankenstein and Dracula. Loves Edgar Allen Poe. I think his favorite story would be Tom Sawyer. Would also LOVE Shawshank redemption.

I think if sole got close to Hancock, he would allow them and even enjoy them calling him Johnny.

Cait mentions Freud in the game, which is really funny but unexpected. She enjoys reading about science more then she lets on. Of course she’s no curie when it comes to interest in science, but I think she knows a fair bit about psychology and biology.

She also is one of those people who claim they don’t really care, but enjoys taking in the small things, like the sound of tree leaves in the wind as she sits outside, a good warm meal, a comfy bed, etc. she learned an appreciation to keep herself sane when she was younger.

I HATEEE how some fallout 4 writer’s completely destroy Cait’s character. Writing her as a drinker (after her quest) and a person without feelings. Like she’s sober of ALL things. That’s literally what the addiction-ending machine does. If you wrote her as an alcoholic BEFORE her personal quest then that rant wasn’t directed at you 😇 She also does have feelings and can be quiet sympathetic at times. She’s selfish and that can come across as cold but she’s not emotionless like come on y’all.

Andy Dufresne falling in love with you would include~

( I had a lot of different ideas racing through my head and this big boy post is the result of that. You can absolutely ask for more hcs on one of these scenarios if you’d like, I just wrote a little bit for each)

- Since Andy goes to Shawshank in 1947; a time when women really weren’t allowed to work in prisons, there’s only so many ways the two of you could have met. I’ll list a few different scenarios before going into the specifics of each one.

- The scenarios~ A) You and Andy meet in place of him and his wife meeting, and he never goes to Shawshank. B) The two of you meet through mail as he serves out his sentence. Or C) you meet after he escapes and get to feel the brunt of his pent up, touch starved yearning.

- If you meet Andy before the events of the film then you’re able to prevent them from happening sheerly through existing.

- The two of you wind up meeting when you go to the bank he works at for some financial counseling. Let’s just say the predicament that you’re in requires a little more care than a one time visit and the signing of some papers so the two of you have a little more time to get to know each other, something that’s crucial in winning over Andy’s heart. 

- Andy is a hard man to know; a closed book through and through, so if he’s letting you in then there’s something special about you that he just can’t ignore. …And boy are you special to him. 

- Your warm voice, your smile, your perfect temperament. He’d never had such a pleasant client in his life. 

- Now, Andy always took pride in his work but when he was with you, he was actually eager to do it. To explain everything, make conversation, go over things a hundred times to make sure they were perfect, etc. You breathed new life into his day, even when others did everything they could to drain him of it. 

- And that was what he fell in love with first. Your ability to whisk away everything else that had happened to him during the day with a simple smile and kind gesture. 

- That being said, your relationship moves quite slowly. Andy acknowledges that he likes you a lot but he doesn’t fall head over heels in one day. It takes time and it’s an entire process in of itself.

- In the beginning, he just thinks that he likes you as a person. That the two of you have a special sort of connection that people discover only once in their lifetime, a connection that's shared between two friends. 

- But then, one day, the two of you are hunched over a sheet of paper, going over this and that and trying to figure out what works best for your situation. He looks over at you as you’re distracted with reading and for a long moment, he just stares at your face.

- He takes in every detail one by one until the full picture is there in all it’s glory, as though you’re some sort of Monet painting that’s made up of little perfect fragments. It’s then that he acknowledges just how pretty you are and just how attracted to you he really is. And thus begins the process.

- Andy; self admittedly, doesn't really know how to show how much he cares. Even though he’s beginning to understand that he loves you and that you own his heart, he’s at a loss for what to do about it. 

- So he does the only thing he can think of. He tries to make friends. 

- He begins to try to get closer to you; asking you about yourself, answering your questions about him, and starting conversations about things other than your financial stability. Soon enough, it works and the two of you can consider yourselves friends. 

- But it becomes increasingly obvious that the two of you are not just friends. You can see it in the way he acts around you and you know enough about yourself to understand that you like him far more than that. 

- Feeling your touch throws him for a loop. The accidental brush of your fingers against his own as you pass papers or the hand you lay on his shoulder when he’s engrossed in something; whether it be a document or his own thoughts, is enough to fluster him. He tries to play it off but you take notice of the time it takes him to plaster on a polite smile. 

- Andy is already a fairly quiet person but whenever you touch him or smile warmly at him, you’ll notice that he gets even quieter, his words trailing off until you can hardly hear them at all. 

- Occasionally, he’ll offer you a somewhat shy compliment. It’s worth that little twinge of nervousness to see the smile that you give him whenever he praises you. 

- Speaking of praise: he nearly turns red in the face whenever you tell him how great of a banker he is or any other compliment you can think of. Rest assured, he’s thinking about your words for the rest of the day. 

- He’ll absolutely go out of his way to see and make a good impression on you. Like there will be a day where you cant make it to one of your meetings and he’ll offer to meet you somewhere/at your house. He’ll literally meet you on his day off, even if you’ll just be going over documents, because to him, it’s worth the trouble just to see you. 

- It’s the 1940s so it’s sort of in character for you to bring him coffee or lunch/invite him over for supper as a thank you for all his help. Let me just say he damn near kisses you every time you do. He gets all tongue tied and shy, telling you that “you really didn’t have to” while he internally thanks god that you did. 

- Whenever you invite him to dinner, rest assured he’s bringing you the most expensive flowers he could find and agonizing over what to wear as though it’s a real date. He just tells you that the flowers; or wine, is “the least that he can do” after all the effort you’ve gone through to cook him a meal. 

- Every now and again you’ll catch him staring at you with this fond look on his face. He’ll immediately look away with a nervous chuckle when you catch him, apologizing and saying “nothing” when you ask him “what?”. 

- He makes his move on the last day you have to see him. A part of him pondered whether or not he should but at the last possible moment, he came to the conclusion that he couldn’t just let you walk out of his life. Even if you’d become good friends, he couldn’t allow the possibility of you just up and forgetting about him before he could confess his feelings to you. 

- So as you’re smiling and shaking his hand in gratitude, he moves to encase your hand with both of his own and asks if you’d join him for dinner. And though you’d had dinner together before, both of you know that it’s different this time and it’s different in the best way possible. 

Meeting through letter~

- Bored. Your life had become monotonous and you were bored. Bored of the tiring job and the same old city and the same old everything that happened every day. You needed something new to occupy yourself with, something exciting that would transport you into a life that was far more interesting than your own.

- Some women would take up reading, other would knit, but out of sheer coincidence, you’d stumbled across an ad for a prison penpal program in the paper and decided to give it a try. 

- So you mailed in a form and received a list of inmates that you could write to, one of which obviously being Andy Dufresne. You circled out a few names and wrote a few near identical letter and once again mailed them into Shawshank. 

- In the following week, you received a handful of letters, many of which you put aside or threw away due to their illegibility or their flat out raunchy contents. 

- At the end of the week, you had only a few letters that you could choose to respond to and, of course, you chose Andy’s. To be fair, he was the best choice. He was the most well-spoken, well-mannered, and educated one out of all the letters you’d received. Why wouldn’t you choose him?

- Andy had been itching for something to occupy him. His mind was going too fast for the nothingness that happened in prison so when he finally received a letter in the mail, it was like a blessing sent from above.

- It’s no secret that prison changes people ad oftentimes it does so by depriving them of real human interaction, or rather, female interaction. So when a letter obviously written by a woman lands in Andy's hands after god knows how many years in Shawshank; it makes him feel a certain way. 

- He eagerly awaits every response he receives and while no one would think that out of the ordinary for someone who has nothing else to do all day, he understands that his heart is far more invested in it then he would care to admit. 

- You’re a sort of fantasy for him. Sure, he has your kind words, your scrawling script, the riveting conversation that shows him your personality and the faint smell of your perfume. But he doesn’t truly know you, does he? 

- Its why it all seems so silly to him. To fall in love with words on a page seems like such a juvenile, outlandish thing to happen. He’s never even met you and yet he feels like he has; he imagines that he has and that’s part of what keeps him sane. The idea of you.

- But one can only imagine a person for so long. And so, he thinks it over and in the final few sentences of his latest letter, he asks if you can send a photo of yourself along with your response “so that he can put a face to his dear friend”.

- It’s a little while before he receives a response and a part of him dreads that he’s overstepped his boundaries. He fears that he’s lost this important part of his life, that he’s lost you, but just as he’s losing hope, a letter arrives for him; a neatly stuffed envelope that he can immediately recognize as being from you. 

- He knows that your photo is inside the envelope and a part of him contemplates not looking at it, wondering if its worth it to destroy the image he’s created for you. So he reads your letter first, relishing in the new set of words that you’ve sent for as long as he can until he can’t anymore. 

- Finally, after putting it off for as long as he can, he picks up your photo and flips it over, agonizing over every detail of your face. …You’re perfect. Absolutely breathtaking, enough to make his heart skip a beat just by looking at you. 

- He calls you beautiful in his next letter and it’s such a relief that you feel the need to celebrate. You feared that you’d receive no response or that the one you did receive would reveal him to be the complete opposite of what you’d thought him to be; revealing him to be some sort of gross pervert.

- But he was perfectly polite and kind so you wrote back with glee, asking for a photo of him; if it was possible. 

- He manages to get one taken of him and he sends it to you, and you’re surprised to find that you’ve been taking to a relatively handsome man. He gets almost bashful when you tell him such, fondly replying that you’re a liar in his next letter. 

- The only problem with him now having a photo of you is that there’s so much more intimacy to your correspondence. He now knows your face, your body, your hair. He can almost imagine how your skin would feel against his own and the way you smile upon seeing him. 

- And it’s agony. You’re so close and yet so far. He wonders if you feel the same and in some regard, he knows that you do. 

- So he confesses, telling you that he’s had a lot of time to think about it and that, though it may sound silly, he’s come to love you over the years. And in your next letter you return the sentiment.

- Rest assured, you’re one of the things in this world that really give him hope. 

Meeting after Shawshank~

- Andy crawled through hundreds of yards of shit and escaped to Mexico with a new identity and retrospective on life. He’s different than he once was, as different as can be, but perhaps it’s for the better. 

- He did end up opening that hotel on the beach which is where the two of you met. You’d gone to stay there as you looked for a new place to live. 

- Andy, while reserved, is a sweet and gentle man that radiates a certain wisdom and free spirited, joyful nature. He’s been born anew and it seems to show on his face. You like him straight away. 

- And he likes you, always making conversation and offering to help you with whatever you need. 

- The two of you begin a sort of routine. He takes you out on his boat everyday, mainly so that he has the chance to see your face in the sun, the water glinting in your eyes and your hair being blown by the subtle breeze. 

- Sitting on the beach with you is quite possibly the closest thing he’s ever felt to being in heaven. 

- Andy after his escape is more inclined towards opening up to people and showing his love. He’s realized a lot about himself and after years of solitude, he’s eager to have companionship, someone by his side, the touch of another person.

- He wants to have, hold, love another person. He’s realized that life is worth the heartbreak and vulnerability that loving someone brings. So he tells you about his feelings after a week or so of knowing you, admitting that he’s fallen for you and telling you that he’d really like to kiss you, “if that’s alright with you.”.

Movie Night and a Scheme

Pairing: Mobius M Mobius x Loki Laufeyson (MCU)

Summary: Mobius and Loki have an ongoing movie night which Loki uses to his advantage.

MY MASTERLIST

Loki was lounging back in his chair at his TVA cubicle, tossing balled up wads of paper at the waste basket which was situated right next to the chair of his now thoroughly annoyed neighbor. Loki was curious how many intentional misses it would take for his neighbor to spark protest. 

When the red flush creeping up the back of his neighbor's neck grew to a strong tomato color, Loki was interrupted by Mobius walking through the aisle between the desks shaking his head. 

“And I thought I could leave you alone for a few days without you stirring up trouble,” Mobius said, in a tone of fake exasperation. 

“You didn’t really believe that,” Loki said with a devilish smile, “Do you have a new case for us?”

Mobius’ cheeks flushed slightly, “Not exactly, I had something else in mind.”

Loki’s heart fluttered. The two had been dancing around each other since they met, Loki was just waiting for Mobius to make a move - a god doesn’t ask, he is asked. 

“I need help bringing in some new furniture to my apartment,” Mobius explained and Loki’s heart sank. 

“Oh, you need a favor,” Loki said, dejected. 

“If you’re up for it,” Mobius said. He shuffled on his feet, “I can provide dinner and a movie as payment.”

“Movie?” Loki asked, unfamiliar with the term. 

“That’s right, you come from a culture of live theater instead of home video,’ Mobius said, “You’ll love this, it’s like live theatre and magic for entertainment right in your own home.”

Loki thought for a moment, and shrugged. He stood up and gestured for Mobius to lead the way, “After you.”

Turns out, there wasn’t much to move in actually. There was a new TV that Mobius had somehow managed to get into the TVA and that was it. Loki couldn’t understand why Mobius needed any help with it, but he didn’t mind the excuse to spend more time with him, especially after missing him the last few days. 

Mobius enthusiastically explained to Loki the history of Midgardian home video and how he had been on the hunt for a good TV to complement his ever growing collection of films. He’s previous TV apparently did not do the films justice. 

Mobius presents a simple dinner for Loki and the two chat casually over the meal, falling back into comfortable rhythms after a few days apart. Loki never thought he’d enjoy someone else's company as much as he enjoyed Mobius’. He promised himself years ago that he’d never come to depend on another person, so it surprised him to realize just how much he actually did enjoy the fact that Mobius had become a pillar in his life. 

Then Mobius introduced him to Midgardian movies, and Loki was hooked. The drama, the intrigue, the style, what not to love? They started Loki’s film education with “Singing in the Rain” and Loki, rather begrudgingly at first, admitted that the Midgardians may have contributed something worthwhile to the universe after all. 

This is how their weekly movie night started. 

Mobius’ collection was respectable, but sparse. Artifacts were often hard to come by, and even harder to keep on a personal level. Each piece of his collection meticulously cared for and given a special place of honor. 

Loki found the excuse to spend more personal time with Mobius a special delight. And while he loved the films themselves, he especially loved to watch Mobius’ reactions to them. Mobius reacted with his whole body to everything they watched. He cried when Andy and Red reunited on the beach at the end of “The Shawshank Redemption”, and he cheered triumphantly when Indiana Jones dodged a giant boulder.. 

This made it very clear when they hit a movie that put Mobius on edge and outside of his comfort zone. Loki was perusing the collection, looking for something that they hadn’t seen to catch his eye. His slender fingers stopped over the cover of a film called “Psycho” and he smiled. 

“This sounds like fun,” Loki said, presenting his choice to Mobius. 

Mobius’ face went blank and a little pale before he answered with a shaky voice, “Are you sure you want that one?”

Loki smiled devilishly, “Yes.”

Mobius nodded and avoided Loki’s gaze as he took the movie and set it up on the screen. He continued to avoid eye contact as the film started to play and Loki draped a blanket over their legs across the couch. 

As the weeks had gone on, Loki became more comfortable in Mobius’ apartment. He had migrated from a chair in the corner to a spot right in the middle of the couch, sprawled out with no qualms about invading Mobius’ personal space. 

By moving closer, inch by inch, he had given Mobius the chance to make a move should he gather the courage. He wouldn’t admit how badly he wanted one of these nights to end differently than him trudging back to his own quarters alone and frustrated. 

Loki was very aware of Mobius' reaction to this film “Psycho” and Loki couldn’t quite figure out why. Early on, after the unsettling opening credits, it just seemed to be a film about a thief, which Loki was enjoying, but Mobius was quiet and, withdrawn on himself. 

“Do you not like this film?” Loki asked him when Mobius flinched when the young woman checked into the motel. 

“It’s one of the greatest films ever made,” Mobius said, a shake in his voice. 

“That didn’t answer my question,” Loki pointed out. 

“Horror movies are a unique genre and I admire them, this one is especially well made and I-I suppose, yes I do like it,” Mobius explained. 

“Horror?” Loki asked. 

“You’ll see,” Mobius said as the young woman on the screen turned on the shower. 

“And horror movies scare you, even though they can’t hurt you?” Loki asked, genuinely interested, though his tone had a laugh within it. 

“I’m not scared,” Mobius said, his voice ringing with false confidence. 

As Marion Crane was stabbed to death, Mobius reached out instinctively and gripped Loki’s hand on top of the blanket. 

Loki was distracted from the film as he felt the electricity shoot through him from Mobius’ touch. He desperately needed to know if Mobius felt the same as he did. The un-spokenness of it all was becoming unbearable. 

He turned to Mobius to ask him, but found him staring fully locked into the events unfolding on screen. His heart sank when he realized that Mobius reaching for his hand had nothing to do with him and everything to do with the frightening events on screen. 

Loki didn’t let go of Mobius' hand though, instead he gripped it back and let him use him as he needed. Loki was in far too deep and he knew it and was willing to accept whatever touch he could get at this point. 

It did also give him an idea. Mobius was always on the hunt to improve his collection, so Loki decided he should probably help him grow his inventory, and help himself in return by ensuring the films were all of the horror variety. 

So Loki’s secret mission went underway and he scavenged the timeline for spare horror films. After longer than he had hoped, he found exactly what he was looking for. He found a double feature disk that contained both “Halloween” and “The Thing” which he brought back to the TVA with a huge grin on his face. 

Loki sauntered to Mobius’ cubicle, his prize in hand, and leaned over Mobius who was staring intently at an open folder. He slipped the disk in front of Mobius’ file right underneath his perfectly imperfect nose. 

“I found you something for your collection,” Loki said. 

“Two horror classics, one package,” Mobius said, his voice deliberately steady. 

“Shouldn't be a problem to schedule a double feature, I take it?” Loki asked with a devilish smile. 

Mobius clears his throat and squeaks out a gentle, “Nope.” 

Loki gestures for Mobius to get up and follow him, but Mobius stays in his chair. 

“I’ve actually got quite a lot of work left to do here, maybe some oother time,” Mobius said, not looking at Loki. 

“After all the effort I went to to find this, this is how you repay me,” Loki said, his face in an exaggerated frown. He was not holding back any ounce of the sympathetic looks he knew had worked so well on Mobius in the past. 

Mobius sighed, “Fine, you’re buying takeout on the way for dinner.”

Loki clapped his hands together in triumph and helped pull out Mobius’ chair for him and lead him out of the office. 

Back at Mobius’ apartment they settled in to watch “Halloween” while they ate takeout. Mobius handled himself rather well during the film, much to Loki’s disappointment. Though he enjoyed the movie and thought it was quite good, it didn’t get the reaction from Mobius that Loki had been counting on. The food must have kept him distracted enough during the scares Loki guessed, he’ll be sure not to make that mistake again. 

Then it was time for “The Thing” and Loki knew he was on the right track with this one. From the second the movie started, Mobius was fidgeting in his seat and he turned down the candy Loki offered him - these movie nights had given Loki quite an affinity for Migardian sweets. 

Loki shuffled himself closer to Mobius’ side and casually draped his arms across the back of the couch. The movie started and if Loki hadn’t been so preoccupied following every subtle movement and reaction of Mobius’ body, he’d probably be rather scared by the movie. It was disturbing and thrilling, but not as entertaining as Mobius trying desperately to pretend he wasn’t absolutely terrified. 

Loki watched as Mobius bit his bottom lip and winced when the doctor prepared the defibrillator. He actually turned to his head when the Thing bit his arms off and the blood spurted. When he turned his head he was actually tucked under Loki’s arm, but not quite yet touching him. 

Loki’s breath hitched at the closeness of their bodies and as subtly as he could, closed the distance by dropping his hand to Mobius’ shoulder. After the briefest pause, and the arrival of a melting human-spider hybrid of horrors, Mobius crashed himself completely into Loki’s side allowing himself to be held by him. Loki wrapped Mobius in his arms for the rest of the film, a smug smile on his face knowing that his plan had worked just as intended. 

When the credits rolled, neither of them moved from their cuddled position on the couch. Loki softly pressed his lips to the top of Mobius’ head, his grey hair soft to the touch. He inhaled the scent of him and lost himself in the smell of the man he had grown to love but to whom he had not yet admitted that to.

Mobius turned his head up to lock eyes with Loki and Loki saw the chance he’d been so desperate for so long. He used his slender fingers to tilt Mobius’ chin up slightly and pressed their lips together, feeling the softness of Mobius’ lips against his more divine than he ever could have imagined.  

Mobius’ hand snaked up Loki’s throat, his thumb gentle across Loki’s Adam's apple before it continued up to grip the back of his head and tug gently on his black hair. Loki softly moaned into the kiss, opening his mouth and guiding his tongue across Mobius’ bottom lip. 

Mobius pulled Loki into his lap so he was straddling him, their foreheads pressed together, eyes wanting as they gazed at each other. Loki brushed his nose against Mobius’ crooked one as Mobius smiled up at him, his hands tracing lazy patterns along Loki’s side. 

“About time you made a move,” Mobius said with a chuckle. 

“Me?” Loki asked with a tone of surprise, “I’ve been waiting on you!”

Mobius shook his head, “I know. Which is why I had to wait you out. I knew you’d run out of patience eventually.” 

Loki shook his head with a chuckle. He couldn’t even bring himself to be annoyed though. He just kissed Mobius again, and again, and again. He’d never stop doing that for as long as Mobius would have him, he’d be right here.

I’m on like episode 4 of stone ocean and I have thoughts

-I love that the darker parts of jolynes hair are green instead of indigo. It’s a little annoying that it’s not accurate, but I just love green so much. And also I’m an anime only so I don’t have too much attachment to the original design lol.

-I wonder if people will cosplay this new look or just the original manga design?

-And her eyes and eyeshadow and nails and hair tie are green too. Love that for her.

-Jotaro’s hair hat looks fucking stupid I’m sorry like at least in part 3 they were black so they blended together a little more unnoticeably. But purple?? It just looks weird as hell. I can’t remember what it looked like in part 4 so it can’t have been that bad idk. Maybe it has to do with the subtle art style changes between every part, idk.

-Also I hate his new outfit altogether.

-I still love his character (I mean he sucks as a dad from what I can tell so far, but yknow he’s iconic and also he’s a character that a lot of fans headcanon as autistic so noticing that makes me like or at least appreciate him) annnyway all that to say if he dies I’m fucking rioting. Maybe it was actually only this year of 2021 I have no concept of time when it comes to anime watching. I’ll have to look through my old tags and see the dates. Headcanon Ask Time:

Had Tim watched Stephen King movies (ex. Carrie, Christine, Cujo, It, The Mist, Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile, Stand By Me, etc)? If yes, what would he think about them or the books they adapted from?

Oooh. With Timmy it's hard to tell. I've never been sure to tell if he'd like horror or not. Because to a degree I think it's natural to assume 'Ah, he sees real horror things. He can handle it', but really, in the beginning, he was morbidly scarred more or less by seeing the messy stuff. So it doesn't seem to me he's ever watched horror, not to say that the real stuff would be the same as a movie. But there is a level of desensitizing that Timmy clearly did not have.

The only horror movie stuff he's known to watch, to my knowledge is cheesy B Movie stuff that isn't scary.

So something like--Cujo, the original It miniseries, Christine--I'd say he could handle and probably like it in a cheesy way. Because I've heard that it isn't very scary and more cheesy though. Though, that could be a 'by todays standards' thing.

But my guess is anything actually scary would probably mess with Tim and make him remember something he really didn't want to remember. The new It (I'm assuming I never seen it), maybe even Carrie, The Shining (though he could probably handle the miniseries) would mess with him a lot, 'cause that'd remind him of some messed up crap he doesn't wanna think about. It strikes too close to home, and Tim isn't the confident type.

Stand By Me would probably make him want to head out with friends, rather along the likes of Ives, or Y.J. friends depends on--what ever I guess, idk.

But Shawshank Redemption and The Green Mile stump me, because they're mostly dramas. So all I can say is it'd depend on his attention span, because I dunno how many teenagers have the attention spans for those movies unless they want to already see them. But if he did want to see them, I'd assume that means it's 'cause he already likes something about them.

Overall he'd likely stick to the books, and short stories, and like them. I know he reads classics and Stephen King’s books are certainly classics even if he mostly prefers Sci Fi novels. Besides It. He's banned from reading that one.

Random and miscellaneous Control headcanons knocking around in my braincase that have no real bearing on anything:

- Jesse and Dylan both had more auburn/ginger hair as kids, and while Jesse’s hair simply darkened to be a deeper auburn, Dylan’s became a rich brown

- The Threshold Kids puppets are still in the FBC somewhere and there is GREAT debate about whether or not they’re altered items. A lot of staff hates them. Some staff think they’re endearing!

- Darling has a tendency to think out loud just in general, which usually results in him working through whatever he’s currently doing in half-sensible sentences. There’s no worry about him saying anything classified because nobody can make heads or tails of what he’s talking about anyway

- He also sometimes hums or sings to himself when he’s working

- Trench actually spent a decent amount of time wandering the Oldest House before the Hiss infected him-- he was just excellent at never being seen by other staff

- Arish is a hockey fan

- Arish has not seen Shawshank Redemption and Jesse insists that they watch it once the Bureau leaves lockdown

- Some staff haven’t personally seen Ahti before and think he doesn’t exist

- There was Great Internal Debate™ about the nature of the trees growing in Central Research and whether they were even really trees

- Jesse and Dylan were more into books, music, movies, and playing outside than videogames as kids, but they played a few

- Both of them loved The Iron Giant and would play pretend with the movie in mind a lot and they can still quote it pretty dang accurately

- Marshall might be a hardcase but if she’s in your corner, she’s in your corner-- she gives it to you straight and she’ll definitely go to bat for you when you need it, and there’s a good handful of rangers that knew they could go to her just about whenever if they needed something

- Langston gets obsessed with the Bureau Book Club when he realizes each member of the club apparently read the same book, but the book was different for each. He’s now searching the whole Bureau for the book, absolutely positive that it’s an Altered Item

- Emily has a bad habit of letting her sleep schedule get out of wack, mostly because she gets so genuinely excited and invested in what she’s doing, work or not, that she loses complete track of time

Favorite part is when Andy makes his chess set. He likes that the game led him to his escape.

Points out every flaw in Andy’s trial. (There’s no real reason to convict him other than he was unemotional on the stand and therefore the jury did not like him. Near doesn’t like this at all. Where’s the evidence? Where’s the gunshot residue on his hands? Where’s the spent bullets with his fingerprints? etc.)
