🏹 Hello! I'm back on my Tolkien bullshit thanks to the Rings of Power trailer dropping and I'm looking for some lines!

I'm 35+, I ask that you be at least 25. I'm semi-literate to literate with my posts (2-4 paragraphs), and I do my RP on Discord. I'm on Central time and I tend to reply daily, if not rapid-fire, though my schedule can cause downtime of a few days periodically. I'm down for 🕊️ and dark/problematic plots and kink is great. NSFW encouraged, with some plot (or plot with a sprinkling of NSFW, either/or). Trans/NB/otherwise genderqueer friendly, and I love seeing faces of colour if you have them in mind. If you have some Tolkien OCs, I'm glad to hear them, as I have a few of my own! I also have a lot of world building around the Rangers of the North as well as Pelargis, Dol Amroth, and Hard, if those are your jams. AU friendly -- if you're dying to write the Coffee Shop AU, I'll brew some coffee. If you love Everyone Lives, so do I. I love OOC chatter, playlists, all that. Not necessary, but they're a fun bonus. We're all nerds here.

I haven't officially started RP-ing yet on here, but anyone interested in role-playing with an Elendil from The Rings of Power?

Obsessed with the scene where Adar explains to Galadriel that the danger of Sauron isn’t that he takes—it’s that he gives. He becomes what the person needs him to be, or provides them what they need.

To Adar he gave children.

To Celebrimbor he facilitated the ability to create and cement a legacy.

For Galadriel, he not only gave her an army, but he was her ally, her friend, when she’d been all but abandoned by her own people.

Even that warg in 2x01, he feeds him and gains his trust.

But don’t you see that he did the same thing to us? As Halbrand in S1, he became who the audience wanted him to be—drawing us into the deception.

Who was (arguably) the most beloved character in LOTR? The most fascinating? The one the story started to swirl around despite Frodo and the ring being elsewhere?

Aragorn.

We ate that reluctant-lost-king-sexy-grimy-mystery hero shit UP.

He became who and what we wanted him to be. It pulled a thread from the original story tied directly to our nostalgic, gullible souls.

That’s why it was as much a gut punch for us as everyone else to realize who he was.
