I love how the Speak Now Vault Track I was most excited for (Electric Touch) became my least favorite while the one I was least excited for became my favorite (I Can See You)

“Blah blah blah I want marvelous to change things up little! Blah blah I don’t want them to go back to what it used to be. Blah blah sdv was made by one person and I put in more hours into that game than I did with rune factory 4 and story of seasons ever did!”
Good, go play that game instead of whining about sos/rf games not being like it on the fucking sos/hm/rf forum for the 100th time. Not everyone likes that game (I hated every single thing about sdv) and wants sos/rf to be exactly like that game.
I know I say this many times before but I will say it again. Sos: poot did change everything up and guess what? Everyone in the community hated that game. So much that they are worried that the next game is just like it. The last thing this company needs is to further alienate their audience by taking out and changing things that made them love the franchise.

The degree of RAGE I feel every time I listen to an interview with and/or about a nonbinary person/character, and the interviewer just is allergic to they/them pronouns. Like. My dude. My good bitch. My brother in Christ. The whole POINT of this conversation is the enby thing. How are you failing THIS badly?!

obvs I'm aware that disney just has the reproduction rights outside the uk, and the show will still be produced by bad wolf/the bbc, but ngl I am kind of concerned that there'll be some pressure on the show to fall into line and stay palatable. even indirectly.
like, doctor who deserves to be weird and out there!!! it deserves to be queer it deserves to be political it deserves to be challenging. and I'm not sure that's what disney would want it to be, and I certainly don't trust them not to throw their weight around in the interests of keeping it profitable

Okay with a little more perspective, while I do think some of the lyrics are cringy - I just know Miss Swift writes Not For Me and that's absolutely fine - the true villain is Jack Antonoff.

ive listened to the entire album once and can say. its pretty good! I can also say i now have two playlists one thats the album what i'd cut the album down to and another even shorter one thats just all the songs that I enjoyed both lyrically and production-wise on first listen

every time I stumble across one of those incredibly explicit animated sex senes on Twitter (and watch it 3x for science) I am more and more convinced that the best route for romance novel adaptations really is animation

can i just say, i love how hasunosora just hands out center songs like they're candy. natsumeki pain being a megu center for her group debut and now this tsugiri center?? and they're not just "here, you get the same as everybody else but you also get a bridge solo... that you share with the group leader" songs either, they're actual center songs!! wild how refreshing that is, that hasn't been a love live thing ever unless the production favorite got the center vote.
also i knew it kotoko can sing it's just the tsugiri voice they make her do that sounds like she's dying on every note, she was so good in this one!!!!

the WORST thing about paper girls is that they set up this whole story that’s so. Specifically obnoxious and irritating thematically and then take the Last Six Issues and turn the whole thing around.
Dude. get a handle on the pacing holy fuck.
Having reread the entire series I maintain that it is firmly a 6/10. Nice take on mortality and the ephemerality of childhood and resilience of hope. Does not make up for your gritty-realism sexism/homophobia and the unexamined colonialist/racist myths baked into your settings. Or the lack of proper foreshadowing and pacing (even with time travel post-shadowing is kind of. lazy writing).
Want to have an INSANE time that is either Boring or Sucks for the first two thirds and only really Gets Going in the last four chapters but in those chapters sets up and executes INCREDIBLE thematic arcs re: childhood and hope? Read paper girls.
WHY is it LIKE THAT.

mentally ill people who for whatever reason end up wearing the same exact clothing so many days in a row that it begins to disintegrate and will still not stop wearing it until it’s literally just scraps of fabric VS. those weird shitty rich people who ‘’can’t be seen in the same outfit twice’’ human dichotomy

It has to be so hard to run a movie theatre these days. There’s streaming and home projectors and inexpensive surround sound systems to compete with and an audience that’s gotten very used to the idea of just watching things at home because for about two years there we all kind of had to, but also? Most movies are bad these days, y’all.
I am the kind of person who wants to go to the movies. I enjoy the experience of going to the theatre and sitting down and being forced to put away my phone and pay attention for the next two hours. But every time I get the urge, I look up what’s playing nearby and it’s just like — oh. That all looks like hot garbage. I want to go see something, but not that badly.
I got a dozen free movie passes back before COVID was a thing. I still have half of them. They can’t even give these movies away to me for free. I can’t imagine trying to make a living off of having people pay for them.

I basically spent about 2 hours today inhaling acrylic in Technology because sanding takes SO. DAMN. LONG. I've fallen behind slightly on my habits and tasks but I've watched a few videos of study tips (never though I'd do that) and I'm getting myself organised. I think it's a good first step. In other news, I've finally written my friend a letter, I have started writing flashcards on RemNote, and I'm enjoying drawing in my sketchbook so much again
To Do this week:
Watch Scar's MCC stream
Finish drawing Scar ans Xisuma from one of their more recent streams
Finish the flashcards for Physics (up to date)
Work on the IT document
