Every so often I think that I was just young and foolish at the time and Agents of Shield wasn't actually a very good show, because how could it be? And then I think, well, maybe some seasons were OK, but some of them must have been complete garbage, right? Just utterly unwatchable dreck? And then I go and watch an episode just to check -- bracing myself the whole time because I'm sure my nostalgia is about to be ruined -- and then... I watch another episode. And another. Then the whole season. And the next... because, turns out, it's a good show.

#martin and bosco first crossed my dash shortly after i said goodbye to my cat i had for 11 years#and it really helped to see them being so loved even after they’d passed on#now every time i see them it’s like seeing old friends#and i’m reminded of the good times with my buddy too#and now a month ago i said goodbye to my other cat (13 years with her)#this will be my first holiday season with no pets since i got those two#so seeing martin and bosco again today… it was really nice

Hey good news. Good news. We hemmed and hawed so long about the situation with the Omelas hole that the kid in the Omelas hole is now the Adult in the Omelas hole. Still suffering exactly as much, but they've lost the charisma bump that a kid gets just from being a kid so the sense of moral urgency is pretty, you know, I mean it's still bad, but like, whatever, you know. It's some middle aged guy having a real bad day, alright, that's not that exceptional. Get over it buddy

hey gang something I'm genuinely interested in:
#if the author never responds to comments (or hasn't in awhile on this fic) then their response or lack thereof doesn't factor in for me#if they respond then that's fun! but i try not to expect it and i definitely don't think i'm OWED it#where it can get murky for me is if they do respond to comments quite often but they don't respond to mine specifically#because i tend to be verbose and highly enthusiastic when i like something which means leaving long and meandering comments#and life has taught me that not everyone loves being on the receiving end of my spiels when i get like that#so if i don't get a response in that case but others do... i worry that i'm being annoying/overbearing and i tend to back off a bit#but if they mention in the author's note that all comments are read & appreciated whether or not they respond then it's chill#i can just take them at their word and tell the little voice of doubt in my brain to shut up
