if i had a nickel for every time two men in a piece of media started out as mere coworkers but ended up forming an unbreakable bond that became the core of their respective series in its final act resulting in them sacrificing themselves to destroy some kind of supernatural entity that preys on humanity that one of the two is heavily affiliated with to the point that it's brought into question wether they are still human or not which causes them to end up in a purposefully ambiguous place in the multiverse that remains unknown to the viewers making them wonder if they ended up Somewhere Else or if they're actual truly dead i'd have two nickels. which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice

Do you ever think about how almost all of N’s Pokémon throughout the first games were one offs he released after he battled you, how he cared about them all deeply enough that he thought it would be selfish to have them battle more than necessary. And do you ever think about how this is the case with all his Pokémon EXCEPT his Klinklang in the final battle at the league, where the second to last battle he had a Klink and this Klinklang is very likely that same Pokémon? Do you think this was a visual representation of his mindset wavering from a fixed point? How that Klink refused to leave him right away and he couldn’t bring himself to force them to leave because his mind is in so many different directions? He can keep them around just a little longer until he becomes champion, it won’t be long, he can bend things some so long as he doesn’t fully stray from his path…right?

Or is that just me am I the only one willing to be insane about Klinklang of all Pokémon

going a bit insane thinking about how jared said “sam doesn’t use his brawn and size to save the day but he wants to restrain that power” and how there’s so many canon examples. how sam usually tries to be smaller and less intimidating because he doesn’t want to scare people who are not monsters and especially how he makes himself smaller when dean manhandles him or hugs him. sam has spent his whole life feeling like a freak and his very body makes him stand out. it’s almost like he doesn’t want to be in his body. his body only reaches it’s full potential when there’s someone else in it: the way possessed sam uses his body is the complete opposite of unpossessed sam’s body language. the way meg!sam uses his body strength to his advantage. the way lucifer!sam straightens. but sam wants to be in a smaller, softer, less intimidating body. he doesn’t want to catch people’s eyes. he wants to be small and unassuming and above all safe

It's interesting how Buck's love interests are all written in a way that ends because of the reason they meet/happen in the first place and then of course, we have Eddie.

Abby, who changes Buck's view of a healthy relationship but then turns around and ghosts him, making him wait for months on end and letting him realize she's not coming back on his own.

Ali, who meets Buck during a dangerous situation in his line of work and then leaves him for how dangerous his work is.

Taylor, who lashes out at Buck for using her as a fake date and saying she thought she could trust Buck to be a friend who then ends up using him for her career and chose to put his friends in danger.

Natalia, who's there to help him embrace and deal with his temporary death but it leads to their break up because of the constant talk surrounding death when Buck's not comfortable with it.

We can't confirm for Tommy till it ends but it's important to note how he offers to get Buck into his interests like flying and muay thai yet doesn't show effort with Buck's interests like dressing up according to the bachelor party theme despite Buck being stressed about it. And we also have the fact that the entire reason they got together was due to Buck's jealousy for Eddie which he then claims to be was for Tommy. Makes me think they are either going to end because of differing interests OR because of the jealousy issue popping up again.

Funnily enough, every scene above has an Eddie parallel:

Eddie co-parents with Buck and not only does this not stop after a dangerous event but Eddie also has Buck down as a legal guardian (healthy relationship - Abby).

Eddie is in the same dangerous line of work and they have each other's backs. This happens right off the bat too.(dangerous job - Ali).

The Lawsuit era and The Dispatch era - both where they "betray" each other but manage to work through it (betrayal/lie - Taylor).

Eddie doesn't pressure Buck to talk about his temporary death until Buck's ready and is more focused about him living than in his death (death doula - Natalia).

Eddie who has different interests than Buck (poker, basketball and UFC/MMA) but also manages to show interest and actively takes part in whatever Buck comes up with; he suggests their outfit for the themed party AND ends up staying there for Buck even when others leave (different hobbies & showing interest/taking part - Tommy).

Absolutely fascinating when you start noticing that Buck's relationships keep failing for one reason or another and then we have him and Eddie who face the same sort of situations but they still come out of it stronger together.

It's clear that there's a reason Buck is able to overcome anything when it comes to Eddie (that conversation with Maddie about being there for each other even at their worst 👀) and we've already established that everything Eddie looks for in a partner is already something he has found in Buck. So really, all that's left is for them to realize that hey, the one I'm looking for is right in front of me! 🤷🏽

And yes, it's been said to death (hah) but you don't find it son you make it. And Buck and Eddie have already made it.

I am literally so ill about how Apollo and Klavier are so perfectly foils and yet the same to one another

Their first trials ended in disaster!! They won but it didn't feel like it!! Phoenix using forged evidence to end things broke their trust in their work!!! They both vowed then and there to dig out the truth of their cases above all else!!

They had close ties to a murderer!! They both feel complicated love and hate for someone who was proven to be a petty murderer and nothing more!! They look in the mirror and see how their reflection is not entirely their own, how they took those habits and gestures learned from a murderer and still hold them in themselves!!

They're simple on the outside, complex on the inside!! To the point that they're so often misinterpreted!! Apollo is brash and anxious and desperate for connection, Klavier is a perfectionist and bold and desperate for connection!! They're the same and opposites!! They're each others' other half!!!!!

Gosh they make me so insane. They were made for one another and both summarily swept out the door. Aaaaugh

Aftg is so jam packed with parallels and mirrors and matching details its actually insane, its like that wrote “so chekov just left all these guns lying around,” because well and truly what do you mean erik was nickys host brother? What do you mean character with a hard life goes to a new place unsure and it seems like a good place and there is a technical brother figure who either confirms or ruins it and sends the character to south Carolina after having a huge impact on the trajectory of their lives and complicates their relationship with Luthor Hemmick. What do you mean erik and drake are tilted mirrors. Are characters who match in such broad ways before veering off prolifically, erik into a saint Nicky’s knight in shinning armor who shows up at christmas and the championship game and supports nicky from afar throughout the whole trilogy and drake is the true monster lurking behind andrews trauma who shows up at not-thanksgiving and haunts andrew throughout the whole trilogy, what do you mean andrew and nicky stand as foils to each other, nicky out and proud and loud and affectionate and andrew quiet and sturdy and brutal. What do you mean nicky defaults to humor and smiles as a mask for any sort of discomfort and pain and andrew spends the first two books choking on artificial cheer.
