I love that one of the roles fire plays in this series is to represent how all consuming desire can be, and how it’s framed as something that can be world ending when uncontrolled.

So naming unnatural, untamable green fire ‘wildfire’ is therefore a stroke of genius. It’s the representation of how we humans manufacture our own doom in the pursuit power, of how uncontrolled desire will eventually blow up in our faces.

And the fact that barrels and barrels of it sit fermenting under Kings Landing, Westeros’s breeding ground of maniac desire, and the capital the ambitious and corrupt flock to for what it promises? It’s perfection!

do you think people are way too harsh on bloom? on one hand it's a little justified with how the writers started making her literally the only fairy that drove the plot forward with everyone else basically saying "welp bloom stubbed her toe so we can't do anything now" but on the other hand the amount of people i've seen insist she's a selfish monster that ruins everyone's life for her own amusement or to get ahead it's nuts.

Oh absolutely!

There's this kind of phenomenon where people just hate the main character for being,,, the main character. As much as we all love the other winx, the story was always About Bloom. The first three seasons were all leading up to Bloom's confrontation with the witches and the eventual revival of Domino. It was always her story! We just had a good group and a lot of good subplots that fleshed them out so they weren't Just Bloom and the Others. Which is good! The other winx having personalities and lives outside of "help bloom" is amazing! However, while the show is about all of them, the Main Story was always about Bloom.

And in s4, after Bloom's story is "finished", we actually see a drastic change in how they manage the group. Instead of focusing primarily on Bloom, they focus on Roxy and the Winx as a whole. In s5+, we do see a return of Main Character Bloom but that is 100% Nickelodeon's fault and not something that I would blame on Bloom herself.

I mean listen people are going to get annoyed with characters for whatever reason and I'm not here to say that people Can't dislike Bloom (actually yes i am here to say that all my homies hate bloom antis). But the reasons people give for why they hate her are always so... adhglahgdl like "oh she talks about her background too much >:( oh i wanted to see more of *insert other winx here* oh she's always targeted by the villains so unrealistic oh the other winx are better than her oh she complains too much" like GIRL

It's literally a case of hating the main character just because they're the main character. I guarantee you she would Not be this hated if someone else was the Main Winx.

#when people decide they hate a character Everything that character does will annoy them #it literally doesnt matter what the character is saying or doing! if they decide they hate that character they will always be annoying #and a lot of people decided they hate bloom for no reason and use everything she says and does as an excuse for why #'she's actually a horrible friend she's a horrible person she's selfish and self centered and blahblahblah'#they'll always see her actions in a negative light because they see Her in a negative light #some people also hate her just because she's more popular which like aldghjaldg #character fanwars are sooo boring and childish im sorry but GOD please adhlagd #she definitely doesn't deserve the hate she gets :(#but also the whole 'if bloom leaves we all leave' thing? they do that with Everyone #literally all of the winx have codependency issues and they cant stand it when one person is gone #remember tecna in s3? or aisha in s4? or even flora's tiny scene in s1?#they stick by each other almost religiously and if Any of them ditch they all do #we see it more with bloom because she's an escapist but again they have that energy for everyone #so when people use that as reasoning? like girl... you are misunderstanding an essential part of their relationship #answered #i love bloom she's my little cutie patootie #also random but the people who hate on her for not bringing nabu back? choke.#we've been over this so many times !!

OK. hesitantly i will share this since its nothing too extreme. doodles of one of my baldurs gate 3 dark urge characters 🙌 i named him morbius he was supposed to get with astarion (haha vampire) but for some reason whenever i TRY to go for him i just veer off for someone else. this specific instance it was gale because of his little magic trick.

this guy's a bard and while he resisted bhaal he still gets a lot of joy from killing. so he continues adventuring while gale goes back to waterdeep etc etc
