Dream was hunched over a table in the library. Books were spread and stacked all over the long wooden table. He was completely engrossed with his studies, and had been for hours.

Arms gently wrapped around his shoulders. He didn’t flinch, no one else would dare touch him. Yet, his heart lurched forward in his chest.

“What are you doing, my sweet king?” Your sweet voice hummed in his ear.

His heart skipped again, yet he answered with such ease. “Research.”

“How exciting,” you jokingly said.

“It can be.”

“Perhaps.” You rested your chin on his shoulder, staring down at the pages. “Have you learned anything new?”

Your cheek brushed against his. Electricity surged through him. “No, nothing yet,” he answered.

You kissed his cheek, then his temple. “Then let me give you some peace so you can return to your work.”

Dream’s skin grew hot. Your arms slowly withdrew, your fingers skimmed over his chest. His heart flipped, doing dizzy somersaults. You had such an effect on him, a drunken intoxicating and always addicting effect. Your hands gripped the back of his chair. He still felt your comforting warmth. You leaned down and pecked the top of his head.

“Just don’t work too hard, okay?” You whispered softly into his hair.

“Of course,” he mumbled.

When you finally drew away, finally left him, he let out a shaky breath. His covered his now flushed face with his hands.

Such tender, loving gestures. Such sweetness.

No matter how often you did it, no matter when or where, his body reacted all the same. He was not immune to your touches and kisses. You gave them so freely and he cherished them like gold and forgotten treasure.

“My lord?” Dream dropped his hands to see Lucienne’s concerned face. “Are you alright?”

Dream smiled, a small one but genuine. “I am, I am more than well.”

Yes, he was elated, and a love struck fool to you. He wouldn’t change anything about it.

As a kid, I was scared of seeing Billy the Puppet's face. Ur amazing and lovely chainshipping helped me overcome my fear of watching the Saw movie. Recently watched the Saw 2004 for Lawrence and Adam then got mindblown how they r so gay in canon and it makes so much sense why ppl ship them ❤️ Also, surprised I never got spoiled from the movie's ending.

Hesitate to watch the rest of Saw movies tho because chainshipping is only in the first movie and I'm still sad over the Chainshipping angst 😭 So I'll be consuming fan content of them.

some sweetness, coming right up! 🥰

this is based off a prompt fill I did a while back where nico and his siblings own a little bakery opposite jack and his brothers, who have opened a new coffee shop! and nico was Not About Them in the beginning, being a little snooty about potential competition, but then begrudgingly admitting they're not so bad (not to mention how cute Jack is). I also expanded a little on it here.

I have a mix of short written segments and ideas for this AU, I think! I really really wanted to do a social media portion of it too, I was tinkering around with a instagram post work skin on ao3 that I thought would be perfect for this universe.

overall, I think it's important to me that Jack is having such a crush he makes a fool of himself every time and Nico in the beginning is barely out of the "ok he's kind of tolerable" stage (but only bc he thinks they're some kind of snobby chain store!! who doesn't understand the value of small business!!)

that being said, of course one of the first parts I write jumps straight to them flirting with each other via pastries.

Jack stares down at Nico's hand, and at the little piece of apple pie on the spoon, nonplussed.

“...What are you doing?”

Nico tilts his head. “I want you to taste test,” he says, like it’s a very normal thing for someone to do in a bakery. (It might be. But Jack—Jack’s brain has just skidded to a full halt at the very idea of Nico hand feeding him.)

“Um.”

“Jack,” Nico laughs, showing off that dimple, and the little crinkles around his eyes. “Just open your mouth.”

And fuck if Jack wouldn’t give anything to hear those words in any other context.

Hesitantly, he leans forward, pressing the palm of his hand against the side of the counter to balance. And then, feeling extremely ridiculous and foolish, opens his mouth in front of Nico’s outstretched hand.

Nico moves the bite forward, just enough for Jack to wrap his lips around the metal of the utensil, and then—

Holy shit that is a pie. The first thing he tastes is the buttery crust, the little pieces of slightly burnt sugar on top, and then the burst of apple and cinnamon and a very tiny hint of citrus, just enough to cut through the sweetness to add a bit of tartness. The apple is baked to perfection, soft but not soggy, and the thin layer of crust on the bottom is perfectly even, not too thick, and not too gummy.

Jack can’t help it; he fucking moans around that bite, eyelashes fluttering, and tries to imagine a life without Nico’s apple pie. He can’t. His whole worldview has changed because of it.

He feels Nico lift the spoon away, the drag of the edge along his lips, and Jack can’t help but dart his tongue out to catch the last of the sweet taste. It’s so fucking good, he might cry.

“Nico,” he says, opening his eyes. “Nico, I would pay you a hundred bucks for you to put that back in my mouth again.”

And Nico—

Nico blushes.

(ofc - Jack thinks Nico is blushing because he's heaving praise on his pie - which is very deserving of praise! But Nico is mostly blushing because he is immediately thinking of putting something else much bigger into Jack's mouth, like his [I am bodily thrown into the Bern river])

Hi Hello! Just wanted to pop in to say your writing is incredible. Everytime I open a fic of yours, I can feel the words weaving themselves into my brain, forever tattooed underneath my eyelids.

The way you write, it always creates this big heavy thing inside of my chest, similar to the exact moment I discovered the meaning of the word catharsis, thumbing over the definition in some textbooks.

You simply create a world of your own, and in a few sentences I am helplessly pulled along. I'm no longer reading a quick sucession of words, but a real tangible story.

There's just something so vivid about it, colors, shapes and feelings bursting through my screen like I'm discovering some kind of new dimension to writing I've never been privy to before.

In the span of the day it took for me to read all your fics (excluding the Hunger AU, for which I'm patiently waiting for chapter 10 so I can binge it all in one go, knowing I would probably go insane over it) you have rightfully earned the title of my favorite author.

I wish you the best, for you to keep doing what you enjoy, I'll probably read any of your works no matter how silly or short they might be. <3
