This probably isn't the final arc of BSD
A lot of people seem to think that the Decay of Angels are the final antagonists of bsd and that the series is gonna end after their defeated.
But I highly doubt that, there is way too much that has been left unexplored, and so many important plot lines to resolve.
I think this arc if more of a precursor arc to establish the effects of The Book and introduce more key players into the story, as well and round off many characters arcs.
I have a few reasons for thinking this:
1: This arc is about the page not the book.
2: Agatha Christy, Despite being hyped up through out the whole series we haven't seen her properly yet
3: The currently unresolved plot lines
1. The number one thing that makes me sure this isn't the final arc is the fact that this conflict isn't over The Book. The Page which is the centre of the DOA's plan's is just a tiny fragment of the real prize and the end goal of this arc is just for the Agency to undo everything the DOA did with the page.
Tumblr media
This mad dash for the book hasn't even started yet, but I think I know what will start it-
Tumblr media
Ranpo announced the existence of the page to the entire world, and the DOA are currently proving just how powerful it is. Once the current vampire crisis is over, there's no way loads of dangerous and powerful skill users aren't going to come storming into Yokohama to try and get it. Setting the stage to move into the final arc.
2. Through out bsd we hear about how Europe is the centre of gifted power in the world. Ability users like Fyodor, Gogol, Bram, Verlain... all come from Europe and they also produced the only Skill weapons we've seen so far in the series. Despite this we've only seen brief glimpses of The Order Clock Tower, who seem to be the main gifted organisation in Europe.
Tumblr media
She appears in the same sequence as Fyodor and Fitzgerald, and if you go in reverse order you get the order of the antagonists:
Fitzgerald, Fyodor and maybe Agatha?
All this makes me sure that she will lead Europe in its attempt to seize the Book and will probably be the final antagonist of the series or at least one of them.
3. We still have tons of unresolved plotlines in bsd, so heres a list of the ones I think will be important.
Tanizaki's character arc and history .
What are abilities really?
Who wrote Sigma?
We need to meet the Transcendents ?
What the fuck is Steinbeck up to?
Tumblr media
Adam and Shirase, they were clearly both sent to london for a reason and it was teased in Stormbringer that Shirase was going to make a return.
What is the Storm that Verlaine is waiting for?
The transfer of a detective to the Mafia.
Who were the seven traitors?
And of course Dazai's full history.
I'm sure I missed loads, and maybe some of these will get resolved in this arc.
Anyway I defiantly think there is at least one more arc to come, and I have some theories about Fyodor's involvement in it that Ill post later.

random thoughts of the day : you know how we saw akatagawa in a random different outfit? it’s reminiscent of a knight… and what else is knight related in bsd? the order of the clock tower.
though this next arc probably isn’t the order of the clock tower arc, i have a feeling they’re involved somehow and it’s a set up into their arc…
but those r just my self indulgent thoughts :)

Dame Agatha Christie is one of the characters we know too little about in BSD aside from her personality (partially), ruthlessness and role as a future antagonist. So, I decided to give her some spotlight together with some of my OCs.
And Then There Were Two is a story about Dame Agatha Christie finding herself amused over two Japanese gals: Natsuko Imamura and Misa Yamamura, both very different, yet so alike. Their relationship can be somewhat considered parallel to Ranpo and Poe. So if you're interested for something like that, the link is down below. If you read the story, I hope you like it!

Atsushi: Another person wants to kidnap me?!
Dazai: I’m afraid so it seems news of your bounty spread wider than we thought.
Atsushi, so done: I wasn’t even a wanted child. How does this keep happening?!
Dazai, wasn’t prepared for that: Atsushi?!
Atsushi: What is the Headmaster tired of having no places to put his nails? Or did my parents fuck up their reimbursement for not raising me?
He’s too busy ranting he doesn’t notice the rest of the office going silent…because they didn’t know about any of that.
Dazai, calms his rage: I’m gonna hug you now, is that okay?
Atsushi: …That would be nice.

guys order of the clock tower arc is going to be wild you know
agatha christie, charles dickens, JANE AUSTEN guys i hope we get to see pride and prejudice as an ability
maybe they can even sneak oscar wilde in (i know that he's from ireland but come on) he would be such a sass king god he would rival dazai on that one
i want sheakespeare to be there too and please god let asagiri make him speak that way
you know, like "whomst could haveth seenth this come forth, that blessid ben thei that suffren persecusioun for riytfulnesse, for the kingdam of heuenes is herne" or something like that and then everyone just stares at him while he confidently holds his head high like he made a genius point and then agatha just sighs and translates and turns out he just said something like "what are we having for dinner"
but during a crisis or an important scene he suddenly speaks perfect modern english, zero goofiness, which makes it at least 50x more impactful
make it happennnn

Be with me always—take any form—drive me mad!
Fandom: Bungou Stray Dogs
Relationships: big focus on Shin Soukoku (Akutagawa/Atsushi)(can be interpreted as platonic or romantic so far), but also about Atsushi & the rest of the Armed Detective Agency
Warnings: Major Character Death
Chapters: 8 total, completed
This is a what-if fic continuing from chapter 115 of the manga, wrapping up the Decay of Angels arc and inventing an original story arc for the Order of the Clock Tower. 6 of the side characters/antagonists are my original Order of the Clock Tower characters.
After defeating the Decay of the Angels, Atsushi is haunted by the people they've lost—or rather, a certain person.

I have a theory for season 6
First thing first, the background: The whole DOA's plan. From the purpose that pushed Fukuchi to do that: massive war in the future that killed millions of people all around the world, more severe than Great War which ended 15 years ago (before the main storyline). Then fueled as well by the hate to corrupted people in the government body who caused those issues. Therefore he tried to combine all armies in the world under one command leader, Army of Mankind to mitigate the future war. Therefore, a strong current incident/terror should be made in order to make the United Nations realize how important that thing is. And as Fukuchi confirmed, the proposal of DOA's plan came from Fyodor, which means he told Fyodor about the massive future war.
Now here several scattered info from Stormbringer novel apply in: The future big war Fukuchi mentioned is probably a singularity war. The Great War (the beginning of several major issues in BungoSD) as confirmed in Stormbringer novel, European countries competed to create singularity to be a weapon. Why singularity? Because, only singularity has enough energy to harm the world. Ability alone is considered as not harmful as it can't raze the world on its own because one of the ability principles: Ability has an output ceiling. This output ceiling doesn't exist in singularity (more about this in Stormbringer)
Three major powers during the Great War: England, France, and Germany competed to achieve that goal. Germany found a theoretical way to create a powerful singularity (not the normal clashing ability way as singularity from this method has limited energy, it'll run out). Then a rebel scientist in France managed to be the first one to realize that theoretical plan into reality. He created the first singularity that can be weaponized from the theory Germany found, yes, the birth of Guivre singularity (Paul Verlaine). Germany then stole the research file, shared it to their ally: Japan and another singularity was born: Arahabaki (Chuuya). Hearing German + Japan's success in creating singularity that has enough energy to destroy the world, France tried to steal Chuuya (that time was still 7 y.o.) from the lab in Japan. But the plan failed and that destructive Arahabaki incident happened. Soon after that, Great War ended with a ceasefire signed by France, Germany, England (as confirmed in 55 Minutes about the ceasefire process)
Now you might have realized which one amongst the three major powers during the Great War didn't have singularity (from that method) as a weapon. Yes, England. Tho they created the Shell (by H.G.Wells, first mention in 55 Minutes) and One Order. The Shell vs the new singularity: The Shell energy itself caused massive annihilation, a singularity effect, but fun fact, the energy was not enough to destroy Guivre singularity, instead it made Guivre stronger
Now, combine those things together with facts in Season 5. All of us witnessed that entity at the end of Season 5, right? Based on info in Stormbringer, that entity high probability is a singularity from Fukuchi's ability created from the same concept as Guivre (Verlaine) and Arahabaki (Chuuya) creation. Yes, few rare people in the world can create powerful singularity with near-UNLIMITED amounts of energy just by using their own ability. These people are called having "self-contradicting ability". Chuuya's original ability that created his singularity is "ability to amplify other abilities". Does it ring a bell? Yes, Fukuchi's ability is ability to amplify the effectiveness of any object he uses as a weapon, so theoretically Fukuchi is one amongst the special people. Full process about creating the singularity in Stormbringer
Now the question, why did that entity suddenly appear? Here is the crazy part of my coping theory: Another bigger and powerful party is involved. Huh? Yes. [Note: This is just me connecting the dots so I might be wrong] Remember which major power country doesn't have the singularity weapon during the Great War? Yes, England. What if England was behind this? Why? Remember we've seen Fyodor, Fitzgerald, and Agatha Christie (from the Order of the Clock Tower of England) were on call a long time ago in the manga. So, they know each other. Remember again who proposed the plan to Fukuchi? Fyodor. What is Fyodor's ultimate goal as mentioned the first time during the Cannibalism arc? Remove the sinners (ability users). So, what if the appearance of Fukuchi's singularity was planned so England can capture it (somehow) to be their weapon?
Now, add another thing from Stormbringer, Verlaine ,Chuuya's older brother who is also currently one of the 5 executives of Port Mafia, mentioned the Storm that will happen in the future. The only time Verlaine will appear again to give his assistance What is the Storm? He never gives specific explanations. This doesn't end here because Verlaine too has connection with the Order of Clock Tower, well... more to he caused an issue to them Verlaine destroyed the Order of the Clock Tower's credibility beyond repair as he easily killed 3 members of the Order and assassinated the Queen (glad the Order used body double) during her coronation. So, what if the other purpose of England doing this was to restore that? other than to obtain a powerful weapon (a singularity).
This also might somehow explain about why Fyodor can easily believe Chuuya was under control. Well, we don't know Meursault Prison's location, but it might be in France (as Meursault is a real location in France). Remember the thing France did during Great War? They tried to steal Chuuya from Japan. Now with Chuuya destroyed Meursault prison, France has strong reason to capture him. Plus Fyodor specifically targeted Chuuya to appear there. Remember when Nikokai asked him whether he wanted to change item? Fyodor basically said no need as he had assistance already (Chuuya).
I also think adam might come back or might save chuuya if he ends up being captured
but yeah this is all i have

bsd s5 ep11 spoilers
About the debate if the manga is going to follow the anime's footsteps (apparently impossible because Fyodor's hand isn't injured), it occurred to me that if it isn't, Dazai may yet not be alive after all, ie the skk angst might be manga-real and not skk fucking around right under Fyodor's nose.
Why?
Because of Sigma.
Because, unless Fyodor survives and or the next antagonist also has a super genius or two like Ranpo and Dazai on their side, it's going to be a tough sale.
To Sigma: Dazai went out of his way to save his life. Sigma even states that in the battle for control over him, Dazai won. Sigma went and stole every secret Fyodor has. This means that if Sigma survives, which is likely (and possibly joins the agency), Dazai's proof of character development will maintain his influence on the narrative. Sigma becomes Dazai's legacy. Sskk become written in stone in his memory (not like they need much more of a push anymore). Cue guilt, responsibility, what would Dazai do, and all that other fun stuff.
Which leads us to two, the next antagonist. Like many, I'm assuming it's going to be the Order of the Clock Tower (H. G. Wells! Adam, maybe? That scientist who made Adam, whatshername!). But with Dazai and all-breaks-removed Ranpo on the ADA's side (unless the deal with the PM strikes here), the OotCT is going to find itself out manoeuvred pretty quickly, no? Like with the Guild, as soon as they get their hands on information (deducing which is what Ranpo excels at, not to mention that Dazai presumably already knows a lot since unlike the Guild, the OotCT seems to have a pretty established profile and it's implied (? someone refresh my memory) that the PM had some dealings with them at the end of SB. Simply put, unless the OotCT has a strategic genius on their side, I have a hard time seeing them as legitimate threats. Meaning, that to make them more dangerous...it would suit just to remove a card from the ADA's hand. Dazai is in prime position to be removed.
Also, the end of SB foreshadowed a coming 'storm' and Chuuya killing Dazai while dehumanized and under mind control would probably trigger something in the long run.
(Don't know how coherent my thoughts are right now, sorry, it's too early.)

Ladies and gentlemen, I drew my OC, Mari Mori.
But I did draw her together with another OC I made that I thought would be quite a funny idea to see interact based on... Well, histories of what they wrote. I'll let the drawings speak for themselves.
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
Yes, I drew my OC who loves gays with the famous homophobic ahole, J.K. Rowling.
If anyone wants context on what Rowling is about on BSD (my idea, at least), Rowling is a member of the Order of the Clock Tower, as a newbie recruit (both her and Mari are 20, which is why she's a newbie to the Order). Her ability, Harry Potter, allows her to manifest a young wizard boy of the same name as her ability, who manifests her beliefs and ideals, as well as capable of casting spells (all from the HP saga). Aside from her homophobia and racism, the main duel between the two will be a thrill to Mari for her ability being similar to her older brother's, and will serve as practice for when she and him meet and fight on opposite teams.
Welp, that's all for today! Thanks for checking in, I hope you have a nice day/night and I'll see you next time!

I do find it interesting how Agatha Christie in Bungou Stray Dogs is known as Dame Agatha Christie.
For those that don't know when someone is knighted by the ruling monarch in England they recieve a title with their name.
Men are referred to as Sir, for example Sir Patrick Stewart.
(And yes people are referred to as Sir despite not being knighted and yes it's confusing, welcome to England.)
Women are referred to as Dame. The real life Agatha Christie was infact knighted and given the title of Dame.
So this could simply be a reference to that. But I am curious about it given the close connection the Order of Clock Tower has with the British Monarchy.
As told to us in Stormbringer about how they are used to protect the Queen.
That kind of immunity and infamouy sets them apart from shadowy illegal organisations like the Guild and the Rats in the House of the Dead.
And makes them more like the Hunting Dogs. Which... I'm sure means they've got as fucked up a backstory as they do.
Nothing government sponsored ever goes well in Bsd.
I also wonder if Agatha was knighted after the Great War.
Given her real life counterpart was knighted and promoted to Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire.
Rather than for her literary work it would be for her fighting prowess.
Maybe, could just be a reference but the implications are fun to think about.
