my last time speaking on this bc I’m back to my smut and stupid shit afterwards (cause yk this is my safe space 🤪😜🫶🏾👍🏾) , but I’m genuinely scared, not just for this presidency but my local leadership too. Hence why I always make such an emphasis on it. I live in a small town and it’s very much class/racially divided. The sheriff (a white woman btw but a woman nonetheless) has been actively trying to harass and run everyone from my side of town. She pretty much wrote off this area as a bunch of drug addicts and says ‘she hopes we all just kill each other’. (My family has never done, sold or even been around drugs and yet her dumbass cops are convinced bc we’re black with nice vehicles, that we must sell). She’s also pushing for the gentrification of our area so all of her rich cohorts can come and tear down our houses and build a suburbia. Just the other day, a cop made me move my vehicle from in front of a store I park at all the time bc im disabled and even the closest parking spot is far on this leg and he did it just to be an asshole. I can’t even cry abt this presidency yet bc I’m now worried that my local leaders are going to make our lives hell. Not to mention, they voted no on abortions and gender affirming care as well. I hate it here so fucking bad.

Current system experience: my brother said “hey you should watch this show, it’s really good! I think you’ll really like this character” so I watched the show and I really liked the character and then some shit went down and suddenly the character was in my head and it makes sense because he’s a detective and the shit that went down was me being accused of something I didn’t do so ofc I split a detective. Of course I split someone who was able to remain calm and present evidence that shows exactly why I didn’t do this and they should know that, while respectfully insulting the situation as a whole and saying it’s an absolutely ludicrous situation, a baseless, slanderous accusation, downright insulting to us as a person, and a waste of not only his time and intelligence but the time and resources of the higher ups who had to waste their time dealing with something that nobody cares about.

the great thing about reading a mediocre book is that it puts me right to sleep

#perfect bedtime activity #im halfway through the pairing and i genuinely keep falling asleep each time #only continuing for the italian sections so if something funny or interesting happens i can send it to res #the main problem is that i simply don't gaf about these characters like we know Nothing about them #and everything about their relationship is told not shown #in that way it kind of if feels like fanfic? like i'm supposed to know these characters already #'i didn't know where we ended and love began' 'love took root in me before i even knew its name' i don't know who they areeee #so the book starts with their breaking up and then they end up on the same european food tour and decide to see who can out-slut each other #like......that's it. and it's so obvious they still have feelings for each other. like what are the stakes!! it's so dull #it's fluffy in a way that makes me roll my eyes if that makes sense #like there was a chapter where they go into a bakery and the owner is panicking bc for Some reason literally all the staff couldn't show up #that day. so ofc the two characters on their own decide to step in and help her make all the pastries before opening time. huh?????#is that even possible??? PASTRIES??? two people???#i have to roll my eyes #idk it just feels so random. like i feel like that's something i would see in fanfic #so yeah this is Not Good and to me this author peaked with their debut

S4 of T100 is so bad. Like so bad that I think I should stop trying to watch at least some of the earlier episodes as part of my partial rewatch and go back to S1. I know this is some people's favorite season and more power to you I guess; it's always more pleasant to enjoy something than hate it. But I just can't relate. It's so depressing. It's SO mean-spirited. It's so hopeless. Every single second is just like excruciating pain with absolutely no light on the horizon at all. It feels like some gigantic gotcha: you liked these people? you rooted for them? Well joke's on you!! They're going to behave just as terribly as their 'enemies' in the beginning and you will then be left with a black void inside where any optimism about humanity could be. I think the first time I tolerated it because I was waiting to see what would happen next and now I know it's just a straight slide into the irredeemable garbage pile so... really who cares? Shitty people doing shitty things so that most of them can die and the rest can be miserable forever. <3 But it's deep lol! A true mirror onto humanity <3 <3

#listen I think I have a right to experience A Lot of annoyance over all this because I had to see ‘criticisms’ like that so often #this is a particularly hilarious one the same level as the people complaining about Daisy and Billy being the only ones on the Aurora cover #(there are changes with the shoot but them being the only two on the cover is the same as in the book lmao ya’ll can not read apparently #‘it’s an insult to the message of the book because it’s supposed to be the whole band on the cover and not just the Billy and Daisy show uw #you are talking about the scene in the book where the entire band in interview is mad/bitter about how they ended up going with only DB #on the cover even years later while Daisy and Billy in their interviews gush over how gorgeous and iconic the cover featuring just them is #like … ya’ll are conflating a general sentiment those chars were allowed to express with what the actual scene was grrr #it’s one of the best funniest parts of the book too like I love that part…#and if the complaint was ‘I’m sad the other interviews weren’t as extensive at that part in the show’ totally would be valid crit to me #I would have liked them to show everyone reacting in interviews too (they did show them esp Eddie be unhappy about it but #your right there wasn’t as much specific exploration in the show of how the side chars were effected. But they’re still side chars with sid #plots in the book lol #also only Karen actually deserves to be explored as a char the rest I’m more than fine with getting less and then instead investing far mor #in developing Simone’s plot and arc.)#there’s stuff with Graham I do think could have been useful/worth while thematically if they’d had the 13eps and could do it all (and I’m a #Graham hater xd) but I certainly wouldn’t prioritize it over the things the show did focus on #and it’s not remotely high on my list of things they didn’t focus on as much as I wanted. ofc #in fact like I said… I thought it was so funny they did not gaf about the Dunne brothers relationship 😭#like it is an interesting dynamic in the book there are good scenes. but I’m obsessed with their choice to not give anything to any of #Billy’s dynamics that aren’t the love triangle points and Teddy. respectable af #vs Daisy and to a lesser extent Camila both have way more developed dynamics outside of him incred #(another reason ‘they made Daisy and Camila center around Billy’ crit makes me roll my eyes #like in the sense that the love triangle is elevated in terms of focus sure. and people are free to have qualms about that choice #basically saying the show prioritized the romance for the characters and char work is accurate. saying they did that more for the girls and #less for Billy idk what show you were watching

Mme Heger tore up those letters herself and then spread the rumor (that people still take at face value) that it was M Heger who got rid of them right away so she could discredit Charlotte’s ~accusations, which tbh I always found a little too convenient to be true
