Ok real talk though, final thoughts? Definitely easier than it looks, and the satisfaction of getting the achievement is definitely worth the effort. On Casual with Karambit especially, and all the food upgrades it’s honestly, easy. You just need some patience... and muscle strength on your lower arms. I’ll get on to that.

The factory was doable. I killed the zombies (they are easier to block their attacks and far easier to kill) then avoided every single Soldat (I did try to kill one with the knife, but it took too long and I couldn’t block all his attacks, so I just blocked and ran past the others).

The Soldat Jets got me hard. I shot all the big fan lights as I ran up the stairs, but they both got me right in front of the ladder and hit me while I was trying to get in place to climb it up. Poor Ethan’s hands were a mess after that one XD

There were though a few times where I got past Soldats just in the nick of time and I was like holy shit how did I avoid them?? Like, the first Soldat Panzer is easy to avoid, but then when I was facing the second one, I just went up blocking and squeezed past him in the corridor, lmao. I was actually laughing after I’d gone past him.

Sturm. Fucking Sturm. I’ll never be able to avoid him hitting me. And since I can’t block in time, I just get the hit full-force (though I was still in the green after his fight). But he went down pretty easily too. It’s just that he’s too fast and he still manages to hit me every time he turns around.

Anyway. Heisenberg only needed like, about a minute of slashing before he went down, so I’m not even counting him as difficult. It’s just that once again I wasn’t sure I was hitting him since he wasn’t bleeding visibly.

Chris’ section was easier than I expected. It was the horde near the tractor that nearly got me. I had to squeeze past and block and push back all the time. The other hordes, those that appear when you shoot at the big mold construct, were far easier to avoid, until I could start aiming with the locator. I owe big thanks to Maxylobes’ Knife Only speedrun for giving me a couple strats on how to handle these hordes XD I only killed the first lycans, those that appear before Luiza’s house, so that I could pass by without having to worry about them. Then I just freaking ran for it without even damaging anyone else, I didn’t have the time XD

Urias Strajer... was easy, honestly. But my arms will be complaining tomorrow. It was about, three minutes? I think? I didn’t count exactly, but it was around that, that it was constant SPAMMING of clicks and space button (hitting space/block while slashing with the knife helps make the slashing faster than normal) and it was so much that I had to take a break during it, pause the game for a few seconds and then continue... I do happen to be a musician, tendonitis is my worst fear and I already have a slight predisposition to it. Anyway, I happened to “lock” him in an animation where he was trying to get up, so he never even moved to hit me and I had constant access to his shin... and I just slashed it and slashed it and slashed it until my arms literally hurt. I knew he was one of the hardest bosses, especially for Knife Only, so even though I could see blood coming out every time I was hitting, I was wondering when it would be over. I felt so glad for my poor arms when it was, lmao.

It always freaks me out when she goes like “I will feed you to the Megamycete” and the thing behind her blows up and hits Ethan, and it did hit me this time cause I was still scared of shooting right at her at that moment, lmao.

And that was it. You definitely need to know a couple strats, dedicate some time into gathering heals, materials for those, and ingredients for food, and some good ol’ patience, but it’s very much doable and very worth it. I remember being a bit scared at getting all three challenges together, but now I’m at the fucking 3.6% of players who have achieved it! Woo!
