it would probably be a bit like the silver eyes (I only read the first one) where everyone just keeps getting taken all the time and they have to go find them 😭 like how Gregory had to go on a save Freddy mission a time or two someone would prob get taken by a glamrock or vanny or something and Gregory would have to go on a rescue mission

on the other hand there would probably be disagreement because Gregory would want to roam, tony would want to investigate the virus, and cassie would be like why dont we just stay in freddys room or something. so they'd be pulling eachother ever which way and Freddy wouldnt have as easy as a time telling them directions and it would be more messy

on the other hand I do think the story would be completely different. first of all the real Gregory is there with cassie so she wont be tricked by the mimic. and Gregory would let her know about how dangerous it is and she would'nt interfere in its trap. but I think she would cause things to change because first of all greg has his bff back but second of all, cassie is an example that what they're doing wont work forever because she was almost fooled. so they'd have to go through another trapping/killing process and they'd be like ugh we just want to be safe and it would be upsetting because this thing wont go away

thinking again and. i think Wake's plan (& Mercy/Augustine's plan) was always bound to fail. so what if she had opened the tomb? what then? let's say she managed to evade the traps along the way, and reached the sepulche? what could she have even done?

the tomb needs fresh blood each time the rock is rolled away -- Wake came alone. she wouldn't have been able to leave and then come back with an army. she didn't bring anyone else but herself to begin with, which... we learn in NtN that BOE not only knew of her mission, but that she was basically worshiped amongst them. she could have brought at least a few loyal, competent allies to help her? but she did it alone. and once she was in the tomb, what could she have done? she could have tried to shoot Alecto, but Alecto is probably just as as unkillable as John, who survived being atomatized. I don't even think a herald bullet, one of Wake's greatest weapons against Lyctors, would have done anything because Alecto is immune to herald fear. plus the ice is frozen solid, and it's not normal ice to begin with. i don't think anything Wake did could have woken Alecto up, though this is somewhat conjecture based on the coffin in Harrow's dream bubble. Anastasia's bones, nestled right against the curve of the rock, were ready to close the door whenever it was opened (i think Harrow was allowed to leave bc she was a continuation of the Tombkeeper's line). Wake would have just been trapped with a dead baby and a sleeping/chained up woman, in a cavern full of bones. oof.

Mercy&Augustine planned dios apate major for 500 years, but then they didn't warn Wake that G1deon was coming, and they did the absolute bare minimum/nothing to support her mission once they jizz heist was complete and delivered. they didn't even check in on her enough to know that she was incubating the baby herself. why spend 500 or more years planning something only to set your plan up for failure? idk the whole thing seems so..... weird!! and even if they didn't know about the details of Anastasia's tomb blueprints etc, all the lyctor traitors (A, M, P, Cyth, Cassie) that could have contributed to the plan, knew Alecto. and maybe the common superstition was that the tomb contained a monster that if released would kill John but..... the lyctor traitors who wanted to open the tomb knew that Alecto loved John and John loved Alecto. and they didn't even like her. they wouldnt have allied with her, and they would have reason to believe she was fairly unkillable, and they had reason to believe she would protect John. what would jailbreaking her have done for them? what was the point of all that? was it just saints playing around in the sandbox of mortal lives? was it just desperate scrambling against God, where you never truly believe you can win but you fight and scheme just because you can? what was the point?

i feel like we will learn more in AtN and/or maybe im missing something. but im chewing on all of this like a beef jerky. what does it mean!!!

I thought that being a literal time God was the ultimate bucket list cross off. Turns out its not all what its cracked up to be.

I guess I should have expected that Lord Raiden (or is it just Raiden now?) seemed to be getting more miserable and wrinkley the more often I had to see him. I guess it just comes with the job.

I assumed ,with my limited knowledge of timeline divergences, that since i became time lord that I split to another timeline and so did my friends when given the opportunity to finally end Kronikas rule. I adsumed we'd all see eachother again. Battle another legenday beast or something. But ive reset the time line. brought everything up to date. chose my champions. And ive only seen Jin , being less than pleased about god hood, and Cassie ,being overly pleased about god hood.

I keep spinning and fiddling with the ring on my finger so much so the area has gone red. Shes out there somewhere. I know she is. She has to be. My champions obviously can tell how panicked I am.

When bringing everything back I knew I had to change the tournament somehow even out the odds a bit more for further down the line. So my father, Cassies dad, Kung Lao and Liu Kang were chosen as the first champions of Mortal Kombat. And the normal conflicts happened , Sindel and Shao Kahn's betrayal, Shang Tsung being a menace, that sort of stuff. Then eventually the new Kombat kids happened but there couldn't be another Takeda, that would just make the kids life miserable. Eventually I settled on Jin, Cassie, Frost and a Satoshi turned revinant turned real boy (long story). There all different to how they were but im proud of them.

They still have certain traits that I just couldnt bear changing or they wouldnt be themselves thought and one of them is how undeniably nosy Cassie is in my personal life. (This is my fault for assuming she would be any different) she noticed pretty quickly that I felt something missing in my life. Putting me on edge constantly of her whereabouts. If she was even alive. So what does any good student do when they see their master struggling with something extremely personal? Of course! Search though his room without his knowledge and fine old pictures of him and his potentially dead spouce! I dont know how Johnny did it when Sonya left him I would have gone into a state of constant hysteria.

Now im here having to explain the last 25 years of my life before the reset to my champions without having a breakdown.

Maybe I should have just stayed in Fiji instead of killing the God of space and time.

anyway so that would beeee SB, PQ ending, they come back, get rid of any leftover traces of glitch and lock up the mimic, then cassie gets in in ruin. and hw2 would then take place sometime pre-ruin, we dont know how long it is so i would even say hw2 happened post-SB until ruin or it overlaps ruin (because were shown the ending scene with cassie but honestly i would rather see it happen pre-ruin and that just being a hint but i have no ideaaa)

people were also saying that cassies dad made the mxes system or vanessa but i think the system was like there originally for years if not thru the entirety of the pizzaplex' existence and vanessa and gregory only made the nodes to keep mimic inside and cassies dad was just a technician that has used the mask and stuff, i just dont know how it works with the og vanny mask which didnt yet have all the tech inside but perhaps that was just like an in-VR version of it in the first hw. man i dont know.

then theres the mxes entity player theory which is... eh, how would they function in reality? and why would they give cassie the mask if were hinting at some possession of mapbot? i dont like that idea past the entity being you know who and also getting rid of a past version of himself (glitch) man i need like a discussion circle

one last thought, glitchs color seems to be magenta (or purple if you wanna say that) and the mxes system is that color, but the entity is more blue and idk what to do with that information. mr entity why arent you purple WHY ARE YOU BLUE literally my only missing puzzle piece if that mf was purple i would be 100% confident thats him (but im only 99% because he is more bluish but he is the same color as ruinborn who is afton to me and people saying its not, i dont understand you. what do you mean. what do you mean thats not frights corpse afton with his messed up face and bunny ears springing up out of nowhere. he is literally him)

scrunkly - the 'babies', cuteness aggression character - half the games cast are teens/kids and raz is Literally Ten so the baby half of this is answered for!! why are you a child! anyway real answer though? no idea. i hardly see characters as the baby unless its for the bit. i want to comfort the kid versions of the adult characters you see in memory vaults though, does that count? enough horrors, lets go get you guys an oversized lollipop!!!

scrimblo bimblo - underrated/underappreciated fav - i think frazie aquato, raz's older sister, definitely has horrors and things going on and i wouldnt object to seeing her side of things during psychonaut's story. like, shes a psychic too! but she kept it hidden from her family because they hated them! and then thats suddenly flipped on its head and everything she was taught to hate about psychics, and by exstention herself, was just a big contradictory lie?? dude. i'd kill. theres more i could add onto this but the context is some pretty big spoilers so i shall zip my lipz.... i also need to think about cassie o'pia more. the tall bee lady!!! i really like her level in pn2, ive gotta dig my teeth into her story more. also her and compton qpr realness!!!

Love

As said before, love is something she has a hard time with. Cassie’s only real basis for it is her feelings for March (which, when he let her escape the casino, he used the fact that he could tell right away what she didnt know: that she was a faerie, to his advantage. he made sure he made a deal with her to completely forget him so that if she was caught again, he wouldnt go down with her. so the one fraction of that she has she doesnt even remember all the way. theres fragments that seep through of feeling cared for and wanted, but its physically painful for her to remember anything involving him until he lifts the deal later when he’s brought back to life and… subsequently does shit that makes hatter kill him again, including straight up kidnapping cassie cause he’s pissed shes even just friends with his brother.)

she has a habit of falling a little bit in love with all of her friends. and theres a lot of familial love and loyalty to her brother, even though he kind of treated her like shit growing up tbh, but almost nothing for their faux father. much as she wanted a parental bond, she never really received one, and that absolutely wrecks her emotionally since all she really wants is love. familial love, romantic love, she just wants someone to care about her through and through.

and she always feels like she watches other people get to experience the one thing she really wanted. her one really canon relationship is with march, and we know how that ends for her, she doesnt have a good basis. but she does truly love and fall in love with others, though its most often unrequited pining and she never openly admits to it, either. she doesn’t want to lose someone because of her feelings, so it’s easier for her to keep quiet about it; but if shes asked directly, she cannot lie, and she has to squirm her way around it with confusing anecdotes in order to avoid admitting it.

her loyalty is essentially directly attached to her love for someone, be it friendly or familial or romantic, she wont really admit to any of the above unless asked, but she’ll avoid admitting to romantic love altogether. some part of her feels like she doesnt deserve the love she wants anymore, and that shes too broken and unwanted to be worthy of that.

basically though shes a confused mess who just wants love and doesnt know how to deal with that, and while she can be very lovable when you get to know her, she doesnt think she is

Can no longer attack Ethan. At all. Circa 7 when ethan was first infected and couldnt fight elder eveline, but could fight everyone else. hes the host now, she cant do anything to him. I’m guessing it was the same for miranda, so while she was disdainful towards her, and wouldnt have fought her anyways bc momma would be disappointed, she definitely physically cant now. The Mold says no.

As with my personal canon from transferring my Faerie Halfling char into cassie, she still has fae blood which likely was a delicious treat for the good old mold. do w that what you will. but even mutated beyond belief shes still a halfling, but anything regarding that is primarily reserved for persy and owlys threads unless others want to experiment there, and she was just a witchy human in canon compliant verses.

Once she wakes up, she loses the ability to turn into a swarm. all her buggos died off. She’d need to collect an entirely new swarm before she can do it again, but the contrast point there is she can be in the cold again. But, yknow, no buggy power lol.

she’s still violent, but given her entire family is basically dead… she gets a tiny pass for now.

probably the only person shes 100% trusting is the duke (lol 100% more like 50%), and maybe hatter @ owly, but not a lot else. If threads w post village others occur (unkie, auntie, fishy, etc), its a case by case basis. she did actually like her relatives.. mostly. but her momma being gone rly puts a damper on her trusting capabilities.

her hunting skills outside of the bugging are still present please dont think shes easy to hurt now, shes angry and volatile and will stab first think later.

she didnt wake up in her hunting dress. I actually picture it more like how zoe woke up in EoZ dlc, like the crystalisis became her current outfit, and she probably hasnt gotten and doesnt care to get anything else rn. her most important bits are somehow magically covered though so whatever.

she did not have any feelings regarding rose in the first place. she did not care that ethan was looking for his daughter. she doesn’t understand that point of view. while overly empathetic pre transformation, her empathy levels dropped significantly before she even turned, and afterwards she turned almost entirely into a sadist. While her desperate desire for family returns at the loss of her sisters and mom, she had no qualms about any of that before. Her only issues with ethan were that she was told he was her prey, and she wanted to succeed in her kill. Proving herself to Alcina is always her first goal, and ethan killing Bela and making alcina pissed off and cina telling cass to take care of him set her off even further on the hunt. She does not like ethan now because he killed her family, but she can no longer touch him. Probably, considering Rose’s own reality with the mold, she’d at worst consider Rose an irritating pest.. but one her mother tolerated. At best, maybe consider her a form of family because of the mold, but.. dislike her the way the rest of the family hates each other lmao.

her head wound is still there, the tattoo (which in my canon already wasn’t fully formed, because I like how in the concept art the filter makes it look less and less visible on each daughter going down, and i like the idea of bela being the only one with the full tattoo) has faded even more. At this point, it’s mostly just a portion of a rose and the bladed stem, but nothing else.

The dark splotches under her eyes that look like crying mascara stains are still there, not super dark, but there.

her hands still look corrupted and messed up, like if the gloves are off it still looks like gloves ghosting up her arms, thats still there. But the more claw like shape has faded to more proper hand like looks.

eyes the same, one gold one silver, no vision in her right eye. her balance is off because of dyspraxia. shes evil but shes trying be nice

Summary- 1.4k Nick Gant x Reader. You and Nick have a job to do that require some skills that your rag-tag team of Division's Most Wanted posses. It requires some finesse, some surprise, and most importantly, not getting caught.

Main Masterlist

You fiddled just outside of the clubs exclusive door. Where you knew the card game was going on, waiting with a tray of drinks. Nick was already in there, working the game with a finesse that you trusted. 

There was one thing Nick Gant was good at, it was a decent hustle. He would be able to goad and intice everyone to put everything they had into the game. Money, jewlery, cards, valuables. It was a gauranteed payday for you two, not to mention the other item you two were actually hired to steal, this was a easy job, a quick job and your little ragtag group desperatly needed it now that funds were running low once again. 

The two of you had it down, even down to you imposing as a clubs waitress, dressed to kill if need be. Strapped to your inner thigh was a dagger that had gotten the two of you out of some less then desirable situations. You just hoped that this wouldnt be one of them. 

Loud noises, bouncing lights and exuberant buzzed people pounded the energy behind you. You felt them, your body drawing from them the whole time, building, building, building. It throbbed in you, but you contained it like a little bomb in your core. A bouncer stood at the door, looking you up and down as if checking you out. 

Sweet little innocent, you with your skimpy dress and tray of drinks looking to go resupply the game going on with the twenty-five thousand dollars buy in. Cassie told you this would be the one to hit, worked it all out for both you and Nick. Assured you that they would let you in thinking you were simply the owner's newest favorite working girl. You could play this part. 

“How long you been here Sweetheart? Ain’t never seen you delivering drinks for Burgendy before.” 

You already rehearsed this line, Nick worked with you to make sure you got it just right. “Long enough. Got Burgendy’s Dalmore 62.” You nodded at the ridiculous expensive shots carefully placed in the middle, which the man glanced down. “He’s expecting this right now. You are not gonna make me explain to Mr.Burgendy that I’m not bringing his victory shots because his man wouldn’t let me through.”

It’s all about bluff, all about bluff. He looked you over once more and then stepped aside to let you through. You breezed past him as if you belonged, climbing a red encased set of stairs to the upper levels. Another door was clicked open for you, allowing you to enter the exclusive game. You never even looked at Nick as you approached the club owner. 

A truly vile man who took advantage of his workers in various ways. Cleaning him out gave you a sense of pleasure, as well as the rest of the men here. You could see the collection in the center of the table, piled high, just waiting to be plucked. Burgundy boasted out in a confident laugh, beckoning you in closer to him. “Got something just for me? You sure are a pretty thing.” His hand clasped the back of your ass, a fat hand digging into a cheek like he owned you. 

The temptation to stab the fuck in his neck right there was strong. But you resisted. You felt a rumble of the table and you willed Nick to chill and not loose his cool, not yet. 

You set the requested shots in front of the owner, smiling sweetly as you played the sweet innocent part, pretending to stutter over your words and act meek. “Y-yes, straight from the bar. They said it was your favorite Sir.” 

“Oh you are a keeper. Ass like a dime and manners to boot.” He pulled out his wallet and slipped the last remaining bill from it, tucking it in the front of your dress. “Keep this up Honey and I will keep you on my personal staff.” 

You had the wallet in sight, his ID’s and cards that was your main target in sight, it was enough to act not. For the first time you glanced at Nick, the clear signal. Now. 

Nick pushed back from the table, well out of harm's way while all that club energy you stored, you let it go. A heavy boom of a wave pounded around the table, the shock wave sending the bastards gambling at the table flying in all corners as if blasted from some invisible force. Nick managed to keep them pinned in place, his fingers splayed wide while maintaining the pressure across the room. “Gather it up Y/N, I can’t hold this many for long.” 

You scrambled, scooping up the wallet where Burgendy dropped it and sweeping your arm across the table to shove everything into a bag you had folded under your dress. You grabbed the dagger strapped to your thigh, leaning over Burgendy as he struggled against the pressure, beads of sweat rolling down his face in his fear. You let the knife tip slide along the edge of his face, sneering at him. “An anonymous buyer sends there regards. Keep fucking with your employees and someone worst then us will be back.” You snapped up to a stand, striding out of the room from a different exit with Nick right behind you. 

His arm went over your shoulder and he started counting doors, looking for that fifth one that Cassie insisted would take you through the kitchen and out into the back alleyway. There was yelling behind you, which you glanced over Nicks shoulder and sure enough, the bouncer who let you in was bursting through the door and looking for you. 

“We gotta get out of here Nick.” You ducked your head a bit to keep him from noticing you. 

“On it.” There was a twist of his fingers and the door burst open to let you two slip through. The kitchen ignored you two while darting down the aisle. You felt bad because these people were innocent in all this but you had to make a distraction. 

Nick did it for you, tossing up trays of utensils and food behind the two of you. No one continued following you, paused by the mess of flying plates and expensive fliet mignon. The back door was your saving grace, bursting out by a dumpster that looked like a body or two had been tossed in before and a disaster of a alleyway, Nick pulled you two to hide around it, out of sight. He enclosed you into his arms, shielding you form sight as your dress would have been a dead giveaway and you reached around him to yank his hoodie over his head, keeping your heads together while the door on the other side of the dumpster burst open. “We lost them Sir…” 

Nick and you held your breath, praying that he wouldn’t look around too much. You heard shuffling and the creak of the door slamming shut once again. “Well, he put zero effort into looking for us.” Nick scoffed as he let his tight hold loosen. 

“Just like Cassie said.” You said confidently as you let yourself give a nervous chuckle. Nick turned his gaze to that dress, whistling softly. 

“You look smoking hot in that Bunny.” He pinned you back to the alleys brick wall, his good mood at pulling this off making his features lighten up, a mischievous glint in his eyes while he traced a finger over the plunging v in the front. “I was ready to pop that bastards head off, touching you like that.” 

“I’m glad you maintained control. You are getting better.” You praised while he went in for that kiss, one that was just dirty in all the best ways, the adrenaline rush making you gasp against plush lips that still tasted of overpriced liquor and promises of a good time once they returned back to their little current hidey-hole. Your hand grasped the back of his neck to hold yourself in place, brushing into the spikey strands to give a gentle tug. Nick hissed against your lips, but let himself lift away. 

“Nick, if we get caught kissing in a small, dark, kind of shady alleyway, it’s on you.” 

“Ain’t no one gonna catch us.” As he said that, the door slammed back open, making you both duck out of sight. Once it went quiet again, Nick jerked his head towards the street, taking your hand. “You’re right. Let’s not push our luck.”

A/N: I gave a warning that i wanted to just write about domestic/Dad bucky. Is just the first of a thousand of bucky's fic's :)

You arrived with your hand holding Bucky's.

"Aunt yn!" a little girl ran to you. 

“Hey mor!” you let go of Bucky´s hand and hold the little girl. “how is my princess doing?” 

“I dont want to be a princess anymore!” she said with a frown, you put her down. 

“Why?” you tried to not laugh. 

“Because if i want to be a queen, im gonna have to get married... with a...” she made a long pause, trying to say the next words. “boy! ew!” she said with a repulsive expression. 

that was something you loved about the kids, their honesty, saying everything uncensored, you saw Bucky trying not to laugh next to you. “Morgan, say hi to Bucky, dont be rude.”

“Hi, Mr Barnes.” she was shy, and added a little wave, without leaving your side. 

“Call me Bucky.” he winked at her, which made the girl blush, who could blame her?. 

she nodded and then her mother appeared “Morg, go play.” the little girl obey and got inside the house. “Im so glad you could make it” she greeted huging you and gave your boyfriend a warm and friendly handshake. “But please come in”.

you took Bucky´s hand again, and got inside the house, it was such a warm and really normal and familiar house, you wouldnt guess it was Tony Stark place, it wasnt a big mansion as he used to, it didnt have any  technology gadget, and they had a yard, more like a yard it was a private forest, where all the avengers were. 

“Im going to say hi to Natasha” you said, seeing her in the distance. 

“Ok, i´ll go with Steve and Sam.” you nodded, Bucky kissed your cheek and headed to Natasha. 

“Hey you!” your friend hugged you with one arm, cause she was holding a two month baby on her free arm, her daughter “Hey Thea, im your aunt, yn.” 

the baby girl smiled at hearing your voice. “Can i hold her?” 

“Of course!” she handed you the baby, when you took her in your arms, Nat sat down, glad that her arms could rest for a while. “Where´s Bucky?” 

“Over there with your husband and Sam” 

“It´s dangerous when they get together” you chuckled, giving her the reason, the baby start to cry. “Oh, let me”

“Did you brought us what we asked for?” the soldier nodded, they went to his car, where he let out some water guns. 

“Cool, thank you!” the younger one hugged his uncle and ran after his brother. 

“JAMES BUCHANAN BARNES!” Sarah shouted at him, oops. “WHAT ARE YOU THINKING?, YOU GAVE MY BOYS WATER GUNS!" 

Nat noticed bucky´s scared face while Sarah continued shouting at him. “Yn, your boyfriend is in trouble.”

“What?” you turned to see Bucky in the entrance. “I´ll be back.” you gave her Thea, and walked. “What´s going on?” 

“James gave my kids water guns!” 

your eyes opened surprised. “Why?, Bucky what...?”

“They asked me to, they texted me!” he said innocent. 

“If something happens, they are your kids” Sarah said at Bucky and left, she was a good mom, she wanted what was best for her kids. 

you went to sit with Bucky, saying hi to Thor and Jane, until three little girls, Morgan Stark, Cassie Lang and the younger who was Alice Quill walked there. “Auntie yn, can you come play with us?” Morgan said with a small pout. 

“I´ll love it, but im going to help Sam, Sarah and Vision, to get the food ready. 

“I can play with you.” Bucky said letting go of your hand. “If you want to.”

the three girls looked at you, where you just nodded. “Go, he is funny!” your boyfriend got up and walked. Morgan took the initiative and took Bucky´s hand. 

“So, prince, which is your first decrete?” Cassie Lang said laughing, it been thirty minutes and the girls were comfortable now with the ex soldier, hugging him, holding his hands. 

“That i get a bigger crown.” he took his princess crown off, which was hurting him, making the three girls laugh. 

“Hands up! We are taking him”  The older Wilson said, pointing with his water gun.

“He is our prince, you cant take him.” The little Quill said, trying hard to hold to Bucky. 

“We can!” Billy Maximoff said, he took A.J gun and got Bucky back wet. 

‘i see why Sarah hated me for the water guns’ bucky thought to himself. 

The boys were shooting water to the girls, and them throwing grass and toys, your boyfriend got up and tried to run. 

“He is leaving!” Billy said, and all ran after him, you wouldnt guess that the weight of 7 kids could make a super soldier fall to the ground. 

“Is little yn in love?” a girl voice said, Carol Danvers. 

“Hey, Danvers” you turned and hugged her. “How are you?” 

you started catching up, she telling you stories about the space, once in a while you turned to see Bucky in the ‘jail’, that was a playpen, where all the kids put him.

“You know his wife, will come to rescue him, right?” Morgan said to A.J while having a tea party.

“What wife?” 

“Yn, duh.” she said as it was the only option. 

“They arent married” the boy said. 

“yes they are.” A.J just shooked his head. 

“Kids, the food is ready!” Sam shouted and the kids ran, Bucky got up from the playpen  that they took from Thea, he approached you. 

“I was expecting you to come to my rescue"he said resting his chin on your neck.

"Oh no, did you saw them? They had guns" you teased him, turning around to see him.

"Yn! You can stop time!" He said like a little kid, maybe an hour with 7 seven kids was more than enough.

"Here, you hamburger" You just said handing him the plate, with the bun and meat.

"Thank you, where we'll sit?"

You looked around searching for an empty table. "There" you pointed. "I was thinking of telling Sarah and Sam to sit with us".

Your boyfriend nodded, and taking your hand, you walked to the table, you were going to start eating when three girls approached the table.

"Aunt...yn... Can we, sit here?" Morgan Stark said shy, with Cassie and Alice by her side.

"Uh..." You looked at your boyfriend who with his look, he told you it was fine. "Sure, come."

"Guys, they said yes!" Morgan shouted and four more kids appeared.

"i thought it was only you three" Bucky said, trying not to laugh.

They sat, Morgan between you and Bucky, the food was delicious, and the kids were a good company. Bucky went for Soda, and coming back to his place he kissed your cheek, making you blush.

"I told you they are married!" Morgan said to A.J, biting her food.

"W-what?" You almost choke with the soda.

"Morgan thinks you two are married, but I've been telling her, you are just boyfriend and girlfriend" A.J said tired of the same argument.

"We are not married, sweetie" you cleared to the little Stark, who frown her eyebrows, confused.

"Then, why you kiss?, My mom and dad told me only married people do that." She looked at you, waiting for an answer, she was really confused, Bucky just smiled a bit.

"Because...umm..." You made a pause thinking what to answer, all the kids look where on you in that moment.

"We are going to get married, we're engaged." Bucky finally said, the most serious he could, not making notice it was a lie.

"When?" Cassie asked excited.

"Soon, in a few years, right yn?" You nodded, you let out a relief sigh, until two boys voices started arguing.

"Hey, Billy, Tommy, what is going on?"

"He took my chips without asking!" Tommy answered, looking at his brother wanting to kill him.

"But Tommy doesn't wants to share!" They started arguing again.

"Don't fight. Billy, we asked for things, and Tommy we have to share" they rolled their eyes, knowing their were being scolded. "Now Tommy, apologize"

"B-but."

"Tommy!" You looked at him, really serious. He took air and apologize, same with Billy. "Now both of you, go for more chips." They got up and murmuring they said something like 'she acted just like mom'

The food time was over, you and Bucky played hide and seek with the kids, when it was the soldiers turn to found you, Alice was the only one who hided with you, but when you had to find them, you knew wherever was Bucky you'll find at least a fifty percent of the kids. The time passed quickly hiding, and laughing.

"Who wants dessert?" Pepper said to the kids, whose eyes opened wide.

"Come on, Uncle Bucky!" Morgan took one hand of his and Cassie another, and walked together, but Alice started to cry.

"Um, Buck, you left something here." You said while Alice was on your arms.

"Sorry, baby, come on" he pointed his back with his head, and you put the little girl there. "Hold on tight" She did, putting her little arms around Bucky neck, while walking to the food area.

Once they got their dessert, including Bucky, all went to sit and start playing charades, you only heard kids real laughs, making you smile.

"Kids, why don't you go for yn?, she loves to play this, but it's to shy" Billy and Cassie nodded and went to grab you while you were with Tony and Steve.

"Come play with us, aunt yn!" Both making a pout. "Uncle Bucky said you like to play!"

"He did?" You gave a killing look to the blue eyed man, who just lift his shoulders innocent. "Fine, let's go"

You left Tony and Steve, and went play, you sat next to Bucky, his arm around your shoulders, that pose didn't last, because when you got up to play, Morgan took your place next to Bucky. 'Oh, so Bucky is the new favorite' you thought seeing him surrounded by all of them.

The day was over, after saying bye to Gamora, Quill and Alice, you helped Pepper to clean a bit.

"You know something, yn?" She said serious.

"Mhm?" You were picking up the plates and cups.

"All this afternoon, i saw a girl with Bucky, you should be more careful."

A girl? Which girl? All of the avengers girls were taken, you thought for a few seconds, but no one came to your mind, until Pepper told you to turn, where it was your boyfriend and the girl who wanted to steal him, Morgan, watching the Sunset, she was in his arms, one arm on his neck, while he was talking to her, not being to able hear, but seeing him with kids, to see his sweet and soft side made your heart melt.

"So, you see, the sun loves the moon so much, he goes to let her shine for hours." The girl's eye opened wide at the story.

"Morgan, they have to go." Her mother said walking to her.

"Stay to sleep, please?" Morgan said with a pout, without letting go of Bucky.

"We are going to stay at the Roger's, baby girl." You told her, which made her sad. "But, if you behave, we can make a sleepover next week at my place!"

Her eyes shined, and a smile appeared. "Really?"

"Of course, beautiful, but you have to be nice, ok?" Your boyfriend told the little girl putting her down.

"Mom, he calls me beautiful! He doesn't calls yn that" she tried to whisper but failed, Pepper just nodded, taking her hand, getting inside of the house"Bye guys." Morgan shouted before entering the house.

"what?" Your boyfriend noticed you looking at him.

"nothing..." You chuckled softly, and got into the Rogers car.

A few days later.

You were making breakfast, when your phone rang, the contact name was Tony Stark, it was a FaceTime. What if something had happened to him? Was he okay? You answered nervous, but when the camera opened, you saw Morgan, making you feel relieved.

"Hey Morgan!" You greeted her.

"Hi, aunt yn!" You could tell her she was trying to see the house, looking for something. "Are you alone?"

"Yes?"you said confused" But one friend is coming over."

"Oh, is not uncle Bucky there?" You chuckled, of course she wanted to see her 'uncle'.

"No sweetie" you shook your head, making Morgan eyes sad. "He went to help uncle Sam with something, he'll be back at night."

"Oh okay, I'll call him then! Bye." You were going to talk but she hang up.

The night came and your boyfriend went to your place to say hi and having dinner.

While eating dinner, you said to him about the morning call.

"I received a weird call today"

"What?, From who?" He asked looking up from his dumplings.

"A girl you know." You said serious, like you were mad.

"come on yn, it was Wanda? Or Carol, or Natasha?" You shook your head.

"Morgan Stark" He laughed.

"Wait, why?"

"She wanted to talk to you, you should call her" your look went back to your noodles.

"Are you jealous that she prefers me?" He teased you, making you laugh.

"No..."

"Yes, you are." He pointed his fork at you, making you let out a good laugh.

"Just call Morgan!" You said playing you were angry, after dinner he did, you heard how Morgan told him all about school, and her toys, and dolls, all that she could ever think about, and he was paying attention, gasping every minute about something she said or showed.

Your heart melted again. 'He looks so good with kids'.

I’m pretty sure the Mimic in the books HAS to be based off of SB.

Otherwise, it just makes no sense of the Mimic is here, because of the books.

Not only would it screw up everything that happened with Glitchtrap, but it would also make no sense with the timeline of the game.

Because in the books, Gregory lures people down to where the Mimic is. But that doesn’t happen in SB, because the ‘Gregory’ that we’ve been following is actually the Mimic copying his voice.

Gregory clearly doesn’t want Cassie down there, he just wants to get her out.

So I’m pretty sure that the book authors got the idea for the Mimic from the game.

And here’s my take on the ending.

Glitchtrap no longer has a slave to control to build his new body, so he decides to ditch the Burntrap body since Vanessa would probably tell and warn people about it.

Thus, he somehow builds the Mimic body, but he still needs to ensure that someone comes down to let him out.

So he chases and programs the animatronics to hunt down Cassie, in order to make it seem like Gregory is actually trapped down there.

But all of this is just a stage, for Cassie to believe that Gregory is in danger, and therefore to come down to the sinkhole and let Glitchtrap (in his new body) out.

As for why Glitchtrap appears to be suddenly sucked back into the computer at the end where we first see the Mimic…

I guess it’s just him acting like he’s been defeated. So Cassie goes to find ‘Gregory’ and help him get out. Then Cassie sees Glitchtrap in his brand new body, the Mimic, and now Glitchtrap has to kill her otherwise the public will find out and stuff gets messy.

So yeah, I’m pretty sure the books took the idea for the Mimic from the game, because it makes no sense to do it the other way around.

it HAS to be. it wouldnt be the first time fnaf released something early (looking at you Circus animatronics, but that's funko). if the book people really did release this early and let so much lore loose in their book they kind of ruined it not gonna lie. they didnt just use their information and make something out of it they just straight up wrote the exact villain out for us all to see. kinda sucks

and that purple rabbit isnt glitchtrap, I'm pretty sure its just the security system in M.X.E.S. it was trying to stop you because you were deactivating the security to let the mimic out, but remember 'gregory' had the ability to cause it to be shut away for a little while. I imagine that's what the mimic did

I do think glitchtrap and the mimic are one and the same. the mimic could have just been mimicking Afton this whole time and still taken control over vanessa. when you think about it this is the same exact story just with a different villain but same role

Chain of Iron:Death theory

As the awaited release date for Chain of Iron approaches and the fandom decends into pure madness, I want to put in my last two cents of overthinking before I stop having coherent thoughts

So we all know this is a second book, and second books bring the absolute pain in the shadowhunter chronicles. There is likely going to be a death from the mains considering the theme of this book, and I am here to throw my theory and reasons as to who I think it might be. Im here to sadly theorize about why I think Christopher Lightwood might not make it past the last hours

1. Tatianas revenge

Right now, Tatiana wants revenge after all our main families: the carstairs, herondales, fairchilds and both branches of the lightwoods. For the lightwood-collins theres barbaras death. For the herondales her daughter has been manipulating their son for over 6 years. Theres a theory that the fairy poison Mathew bought that caused Charlottes misscarriage could be traced back to her. And there are other theories that Elias dissaperance between chog and choi could have something to do with Belial. As of right now the only family who is yet to recieve any permanent damage or tragedy are the lightwood-herondales. Which is really ironic considering its the only family that has two bloodlines Tatiana wants to harm. Not only that, but theyre also the children of who Tatiana blames directly for her fathers death, Gabriel. It seems fishy to me there hasn't been any permanent damage in their family, and I dont think that is gonna last for long

2. The family tree

The family tree states that Grace Cartwright (Aka Grace Blackthorn) marries Christopher Lightwood and theyre the ones who continue the line that leads to Alec and Isabelle. Now Cassandra has said varius times the family tree can be misleading, and I am a firm believer this is one of the misleading ends. Why this lie was created, I'm not sure, but lets analize some things. As of right now there are 5 lightwood children. At least 3 of them can pass down the lightwood name. Of those three, if we take into account that Thomas may not have kids due to being gay, that still leaves two branches of lightwood kids that may continue on. As of present time we only have word of one line, Alec and Isabelles. And Robert isnt said to have any cousins, theres no mention in the future of another lightwood line. So the idea that both Alexander and Christopher have kids is pretty unbelivable considering theres only one lightwood line in the future. Unless Alexander goes on to have only girls and Christopher has only one boy, it seems more likely the family tree is wrong. Isabelle and Alec are confirmed as of the bane chronicles to be decendants of Gabriel lightwood (Isabelle makes a reference to looking up her great great grandfather Gabriel Lightwood and telling magnus he was hot in the last story of the book)

So its already confirmed they're a) the last decendants of the lightwood line and b) that line stems from Gabriel. If we based ourselves solely on the family tree and Christopher being the one carrying the line, that would have been believable enough not to raise any red flags. Christopher IS the son of Grabriel Lightwood, able bodied and seems to have a general attraction to women (I mean, we all know hes aro/ace but lets stick with canon). There isnt anything pointing to him not being able to marry and have kids. Where the red flags raise for me is with Alexander

Alexander wasnt in the original plans for the family tree, he was added when Cassie started writting the last hours. If you take into account his role in chog, there really was no reason to add Alexander Lightwood. He doesnt seem to do anything, hes a 3 year old kid, you can very well delete him from the narrative and nothing would change. So why did Cassandra add him?? Why did she decide to make Cecily and Gabriel have another kid ?

To me, it seems a lot like the baby carstairs situation . The family tree says Alastair carries the carstairs line, Alastair is a gay man so he cant have biological kids, theres another unplaned baby to carry the line. It seems to me Christopher carrying the lightwood line is a lie, and Alexanders role is to carry it in his place. I even found a little info from an ask wayy before chain of gold came out where it said Alexander had green eyes, but in the book she changed it to blue eyes. The exact same shade the modern day lightwoods seem to have. A trait hes more likely to pass down than his lavender eyed brother who supposedly "marries" grey eyed grace

3. Character Arc

Characters in literature need goals, things to work for or work towards through the story in order for them to develop. We call those things character arcs, and it seems we have all ignored how christophers may have indirectly ended. If you read his short story, or just overall analize his character, his main goal is simple. He wants to create something that will help the nephlim through science. His personal character arc is that he wants to prove himself and his skill to the clave using his passion to be a hero.

An arc that could have been expanded all through the series, and ended with him using his skills in the end to defeat belial in some way, proving his passions worth. Through the story we could have had a glimpse at his struggles, how he was put down, the failed attempts, fustrations etc. This all could have rounded christopher as a character, and brought more satisfaction to the end goal of his arc which is proving the value of his science. But instead, his arc in book seemingly already ended? Because he did it, he figured out a way to combine science with his duty and saved the entire enclave from the demon poison. He is now acclaimed a hero for his skills. All the other characters have things to finish going into chain of iron, Christopher doesnt. Why would she end an arc that could have taken through the entire series in just one book? Christopher is the only secondary character with a defined personality and a lack of arc to look foward too in following books. This could all point that his arc was rushed because it was being cut short

4. Lightwood blood

There has been a lot of theories going around about Thomas being the one who gets killed in this book, which is resonable considering the unerving amount of forehsadowing we've had to him getting himself caught up in something. But I raise you this, why would CC be giving us so much assurance that Thomas was going to get hurt if she was going to kill him? Not only would she be reaveling one of her most devastating murders, she would basically be spoiling a very big part of her own book. Thomas death would affect everyone, if she WERE to kill him she wouldnt be indulging us in our Thomas death theory as much as she has. Itd be too expectable, I actually believe that by giving us all the info she has she has more or less confirmed he wont die.

I believe this is all a decoy. Shes giving us foreshadowing towards something bad happening to Thomas, to cover up the very big reality shes planning to kill someone else. Theres a very big chance that for the resurection, theyre gonna need Jesses families blood. Same way Malcom needed blackthorn blood to raise Annabel. As of rightnow there arent any blackthorns (by blood) left alive, the only blood relatives Jesse still had are the lightwoods. So we already know Thomas gets captured by the murderer (referenece to the art), but it is most likely he gets rescued. People speculate he most likely got captured for the resurection Tatianas trying to do, because of his lightwood blood. But if Thomas escapes, Tatiana still needs her families blood. And I'd like to point out this is also where the fact she hasnt taken permanent revenge on the lightwood-herondales would come in. Theres a good chance that if the murders are releated to her, and she cant have Thomas, she wont stop at just Thomas.

5. Story relevance

In all sense of story, Christopher is the perfect candidate to kill. As hard as that is to say: he's a secondary character, who has a well defined personality, loved enough by the fans that there would certainly be a shock factor following his death, important enough to the story that there would be a big impact to the narrative, and interwined enough with the main characters to cause emotional distress in the story. His arc is indirectly done, this author has a history of killing lightwoods, there isnt much to discourage the possibility he might be killed besides the faulty family tree. And as I said, that tree has been stated multiple times to be misleading

The truth is, I hate this theory as much as everyone, Im genuinly hoping chain of iron proves me wrong. But there are 5 deaths comming, and not all of them can be side characters. Cordelia Lucie and James all have main character protection. I already explained why Thomas dying is unlikely. Anna, Ariadne and Alastair have gay protection (and I think some asks about Alastair dying were pretty much answered with a discreet no)

Its so weird how far away Hori has pushed All Might out of the series. Like we never see his like reactions to things, we get like a panel or two of him every once in awhile.... He literally connects everything in the series but he gets so little in content? Even in parts that SHOULD give him some time... Nighteye and Star are especially egregious. Nighteye and All Might had been friends for so long and had a falling out where they blamed themselves but they dont get any moments together at all until Nighteye dies and its like 2 panels?

At the time I was like- it sucks but sometimes that just happens you wait so long and then its too late to talk to someone and thats terrible but the treatment of All Might since then and Stars whole character story being her and her family being saved by All Might and she appreciated that so much she worked her ass off to be like him and they dont even meet? We dont even see him get news of her arrival or her death just after and it gets just one line? JANKY.

I think I was a little harsh to say Hori doesnt care about All Might anymore before because adding Cassie just once again brings his importance up again.... it really just must be that Hori is so fucking bad at like idk budgeting screentime or planning ahead.

Like I dont understand why Kirishima got a big(-ish) role in the Overhaul arc? Why wouldnt he spend that time on Todoroki and Bakugo who are SUPPOSEDLY part of a trio with Deku and building a story with them instead of just letting them interact in shallow ways?

Like part of the reason I started loving Kirishima again was because of that arc with Fatgum but like.... Kiri doesnt even seem to matter much anymore.

Or Mirio jesus. His story was so good that arc and then just NOTHING. He even has a good place to connect him to the story with both Deku and All Might but nothing came of it and he just got his powers back off screen in one of the most anticlimactic returns... His death in the Overhaul arc saving Eri would have been better if there was nothing to do with him after...

Eri too... all the tension and fear that comes with her powers and how young she is COMPLETELY gone. Especially since she just off screen fixed Mirio.

Its not just characters too like various story/world building bits just come in and then disappear ruining the tension they bring and then theyre brought back when its like... OK WHERE THE FUCK HAS THIS BEEN THIS ENTIRE TIME? Things that should absolutely effect the story since the whole story centers around Deku and people around him.

Stains melt down about the corruption of hero society that gets dropped until these last arcs and even then its like??? Who was corrupt? This entire time weve been spending with various heroes we never seen it so???

‘Villainous’ seeming quirk discrimination thing we get introd to via Shinso even though there are plenty of Quirks weve seen that are ‘villainous’ Ectoplasm Tokoyami and Shouji all have both severe mutations and scary Quirks which brings us to-

The mutant quirk discrimination thing that we only get introduced to via the villain arc to try and make them seem more sympathetic even though there are plenty of mutant Quirk users at UA... one of which lost control of his incredibly deadly Quirk once and almost killed a handful of his classmates... youd think thered be some backlash for that. Tokoyami would have been an easy target.

Sexism apparently happens sometimes... but is only featured like what... TWICE? Once where its used hilariously to make Bakugo look better by making literally every other character dumber, talking about him beating up a helpless girl even though theyve been watching these fights for decades and didnt even say anything about Tokos fight with Momo who was freaking out against Tokos relentless onslaught. And then Star-- tho to fair maybe things are different in the US.... SHAME WE NEVER SAW ANYTHING FROM CASSIE UNTIL A COUPLE CHAPTERS BEFORE SHE WAS KILLED OFF TO JUST NERF THE OP BADDIE. (Both cases hilarious are for the male characters story you may notice)

The UA traitor- I mean... God what a thing to bring up and then drop. One way to kind of get out of it and bring some authenticity to Stains claims is have the traitor be Tensei- Kill two birds with one stone. Tensei learned all his info from his too trusting baby brother and hes another corrupt hero which is why Stain attacked him... not that it really matters at this point.

enjoy an extremely long meta analysis on what i think will happen to matthew fairchild in chain of iron (+ chain of thorns)

ETA: the new tungle jungle update killed list formatting so all my bullet points are now below each other instead of having sub points but its Fine, i’m FINE, u just have to read over it i guess, let’s get to it

let’s start out with some reasons why matthew is extremely unlikely to die (spoiler warning for chog and tid!!!)

plot protection! matthew is more plot protected than.. literally anyone imo. the storyline of his secret and his romance with cordelia are two reasons he’s very unlikely to die because there’s too much to be resolved. killing him off would mean leaving those plotlines entirely unresolved.

similarly, matthews deep mental health issues funnily enough protect him from dying. cc never kills off characters who are struggling with themselves. (jessamine is the exception to this, more on that later)

same goes for the fact that matthew is bi- lgbt characters generally don’t die* in cc’s writing. she avoids the kill your gays trope like hell which, tbh, good for us???

not as stong of an argument, but it would make tlh too similar to tid- killing off the herondale’s parabatai who’s also interested in the main girl? yeah. i know cassie recently spoke about how she doesn’t really care for comparisons between tlh and tid, but i feel like this would be pushing it.

but then again, there’s a Lot of reasons why matthew might be dead as hell by the end of coi i’m sorry

most of all, book two madness! shit always goes down in the second book. cassie has also hinted at Shit Going Down in coi, and considering a lightwood already died in chog, i wouldnt be surprised if a main dies

it won’t be anna, alastair or thomas bc of said avoidance of kill your gays (And they still need to kiss kiss fall in love); grace, lucie, james and cordelia are simply too important to the plot for cc to kill them; and jesse’s... already dead idk what to tell u

i’m aware this leaves out christopher too, but tbh? i wouldn’t be too surprised if he dies. the only thing saving him rn are that he still has to marry grace if we’re following the family tree and that he has to invent fire messages but....... those are attainable goals for a single book imo (unlike matthew sorting out his Stuff) so... Perhaps it’s gonna be kit but thats a whole nother post

yeah i know i also just listed a bunch of reasons why matthew wont die but bear w me

so why matthew? because, plot-wise, there’s advantages to him dying, that other characters’ deaths wouldn’t have:

it would solve the love triangle. as a fairstairs it pains me to say this but it’s fairly straightforward: matthew dies, the gracelet is destroyed, jordelia lives happily ever after. we know jordelia will probably be endgame, so.. yeah.

on that same note: matthew doesn’t have a love interest besides cordelia. we know we won’t be seeing the tlh characters in another series, so everybody that lives has to get their happily ever after, which in cc’s case means being happily married. if i recall correctly, the only main characters that have ever ended up single at the end of their books were tda characters that we know we will see again in twp.

he isn’t on the family tree. we know for a fact that we can’t trust the family tree, but i think it’s unlikely for cc to just... ignore something as big as that.

but vic, wouldn’t a dead person be on the family tree? good question! that leaves us with our third option: matthew dies, but doesn’t die, aka downworlder/disowned matthew

basically, the whole idea is that matthew either becomes a downworlder and loses contact w the gang, or he gets stripped of his runes/disowned for what he did to charlotte

it would be a way for him to distance himself from the shadowhunters without actually dying- so it would create none of the ethical issues that come w dying (such as kill your gays) but it would distance him from the shadowhunters enough to let jordelia do their funky business.

matthew being stripped of his runes would explain why he isn’t on the family tree too, bc we know shadowhunters that were stripped of their runes aren’t allowed to have contact w their family.

i’ve talked about vampire matthew before but basically: there’s some hints at matthew staying young forever in chog, and him dying but becoming immortal instead would basically be pulling a jessamine. he dies, but doesn’t die.

becoming a vampire would also give us the Drama™ of his death scene, mayhaps some dramatic confessions, plus it would give him literal eternity to sort out his alcoholism/underlying issues (though i think that will be sorted out by the end of cot)

this also fixes the lack of love interest: if he’s immortal, that means we will probably see him again (maybe in twp/tec?) (with a hot vampire bf/gf, of course)

the only argument against this is again, that it would be too similar to tid, which we know cassie might be avoiding.

also perhaps that ppl might see it as as a way to execute the kill your gays trope without actually doing it, but then again, she sent haline to wranger island Just Like That so,,.,. she doesn’t seem to have any problems w that :^)

basically, i have no idea what’s gonna happen to matthew. i think downworlder matthew makes a Lot of sense, but at the same time it’s a bit of reach imo. if anything, i think it might make too much sense. (i had theories for tda that made a lot more sense than giant naked angels but We Got That Too, didn’t we!)

knowing cc’s writing, i think Matthew Suffers, But Somehow Lives is probably the route she will take. i just have no idea how it will be executed.

tl;dr: matthew’s death would be very convenient for some parts of the plot, but it would create a lot of issues with other parts of it. because of this, i think cc might take some sort of dying-but-not-really middle route.

* generally, because there’s a few exceptions: michael is bi but started out dead, which doesn’t count as killing people off imo. the faerie characters that died could be considered lgbt because technically all faeries are bi/pan, but none of the faeries that died ever had a same-sex romance. the aro/ace character that died in tmi is the only one i can think of, but he wasn’t explicitly aro-ace on page until the novellas that followed after tmi. matthew is very explicitly bisexual and has always been very explicitly bisexual.
